Ariel Breaks vs Danielle Sweetheart

Can't see Ariel coming out of this with more than hopefully her honor intact.

Princess & the Punk vs Glorious Domination

While there's a time to build your monsters to credibility, I see a lot more potential in Christy and Simony.

Amber Allen vs Laura Flame

Amber has been booked strong this far, but I think this is where she finds out that there is competition in AAA. I don't think Laura beats her, but I could see a time-limit draw.

The Delicate Flowers vs Goodlooks & Chee

I don't see the Delicate Flowers losing to a thrown together tag team any time soon.

Devils's Daughter vs Talia Quinzel vs Foxxy LaRue

My heart says Talia, but my brain tells me she's probably going to be furthest from standing tall here. If it being a 3-way means it's No DQ, no count out rules, it really plays into Lilith's hands. Let's say DD takes the belt here.

Battle Royale

- Winner: Let's go with Nadia Snow.

Bonus Questions:

- Final Four: Nadia, Paige Croft, Jaime Quinn, Demelza Wade

- Most eliminations: Tracey Brendon

- New Signing: If Cherry and Zoe went to NOTBPW the balance of the universe would suggest they dropped two stars for you to pick up. Lauren Easter seems like a good call, the other one (which happened in my game) could be Brooke Tyler. But between them, Lauren is by far the bigger star in the US, so let's go with her.

- New finisher. How about a sliding forearm smash?

Tiebreaker: What's the event rating? I say there is a small improvement. I haven't had great success with battle royals, but it should at the very least be okay. So let's say 61.

Ariel Breaks vs. Danielle Sweetheart

Comment: Dany is a walk-in-the-door main eventer.

The Princess & the Punk (Christy Higgins & Simony Sentinel) w/ Joanna Silver vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)

Comment: I would have thought Glorious Domination would have some juice as monsters, but having Gloria lose to Bobbie makes me think they aren't a team of destiny.

Amber Allen vs. Laura Flame

Comment: Hard to call, since this is a worthy program, but since AA is probably going to be the face, I think she has to lose in a screwy fashion to set it up.

The Delicate Flowers (Kate Lilly & Debbie Rose) vs. Katherine Goodlooks & Steffi Chee

Comment: How long has it been since we've seen Katherine Goodlooks? I imagine that this is a tryout match for tag-team chemistry, and the established team gets the duke.

Devil’s Daughter vs. Talia Quinzel vs. Foxxy LaRue (champion)

Comment: DD is the only one of the three who's been receiving much of a push, and Foxxy only has the title because of an emergency switch anyway. I say DD wins so she has some juice for her own program, while Talia and Foxxy are both good enough to go without it for now.

Ten Woman Battle Royale for the #1 Contendership

Participants: Jaime Quine/Paige Croft/Tracey Brendon/Nadia Snow/Demelza Wade/Suzanne Brazzle/Selina Svelte/Wendy Anderson/Bobbie McGee/Elsa Calvo

Comment: Nadia's been going strong, and it gives something for her and Wade to do that doesn't revolve around fighting each other forever. Quine is the more obvious choice, but I think her title victory can be put off a bit longer.

Bonus Questions

1. For one point each:

* Who are the final four women in the battle royale? Jamie Quine, Paige Croft, Nadia Snow, Demelza Wade

* Who will get the most eliminations? Paige Croft

2. AAA will introduce a new signing (the last for a while, the roster’s getting bloated). Who will it be? Lauren Easter

3. Danielle Sweetheart’s finisher is, yep, you guessed it, ANOTHER FRIGGIN’ SUPERKICK. One point for suggesting another move as Sweetheart’s finisher. If I choose your suggestion, you’ll get another point.

I think the Shining Wizard could make a nice finisher for somebody; always looking for an excuse to give that to somebody.

Tiebreaker

What will be the score for this show? The last show, Heatwave, scored a 59. 63

Also, I feel like you're funning me, with your response to my completely legitimate grievance, and I frankly do not appreciate it. I will be taking this matter to the King of Wrestle Diaries, and then you'll be sorry!

Great interludes as always kingjames. I have to think the mystery signing is Lauren Easter. With the spillover popularity from Canada into the North West combined with her talent, she would come in as either an upper midcarder or main eventer.

On to the picks!

Danielle Sweetheart

As good as Ariel can be, you're leaving too much money on the table if you don't push Sweetheater.

The Princess & the Punk

The tournament is heel heavy, meaning that Sentinel and Higgins have a chance to go far (plus I think they're ready for a push).

Amber Allen

Yeah, as some other people as said, I don't think this has a clean finish. Maybe Amber wins by DQ? Either way, as much as I love Flame, I think Amber is too good and too valuable to lose here. Laura will have many big wins in her career, but this won't be one of them.

Going back, saw this is a time limit match, so yeah, probably a draw, but not going to change my pick. It's real to me damnit! :p

Delicate Flowers

Would set up an interesting heel vs heel match for the next round, so maybe something screwy happens here. I could see you wanting to push Goodlooks, and deservedly so, but Chee in the match makes me think Lily and Rose take it.

Talia Quinzel

This is tough, but I think you want to establish Talia coming back from her injury, so I'll go with her. Foxxy most likely eats the pin, having put up a brave fight against the odds.

Nadia Snow

Wow, very tough. I think Jaime has to be considered the favorite, which makes me hesitant to pick her. I could see the former A-Listers taking each other out, but I think you need a few more beats before we get to Jaime vs Steph. Paige is a good choice, but she's already had her match against Blake. Damn, I'll go Nadia.

Final Four of Nadia Snow, Jaime Quine, Paige Croft, and Demelza Wade

No real reason other than these are the top four names in this.

Most Elimations: No real monster-like wrestler in this, so I'll go the other way and say Paige Croft in full terminator mode.

New Siging: Has to be Lauren Easter right? Just has to! :D

Danielle Sweetheart's finisher: Not sure if you used it yet, but what about a more gymnastic version of Mickie James'

. Make it a full on handstand leading to the roundhouse kick.

My original suggestion was for Sister Abigail, but calling it Long Kiss Goodnight, but that is what Google is for. :D

TieBreaker: Let's say 57. As many have said, Battle Royals have a weird way of not popping as high of a rating as they should.

Oh and you miss out on a chance to call Electric Dreamer and Sarah Sparkle's team Sparkle Motion. ;)

Seattle, WA</strong></p><p><strong>

September 2, 2016</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/VJqkQW6.jpg</span> </div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Good evening, everyone!” greets Jim Lou Freebush as the feed begins. “We welcome you from the Royal Brougham Pavilion on the campus of Seattle Pacific University. Tonight, the Angel Athletic Association brings you Liberation! Joining me are my broadcaster partners, former Femme Fatale champions, and AAA Hall of Fame members, Cat Quine and Grace Harper.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/kEkUwNO.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“We’ve got a raucous, sold out crowd of 2,650 for Liberation, and you can just feel that energy,” says Cat Quine. “There are so many exciting matches tonight. We see the AAA debut of Danielle Sweetheart. Amber Allen and Laura Flame take each other on in what I expect will be a fantastic match. We’ve got a three-way Top Contender’s title match, and the first round of the tag team tournament starts tonight.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/zUsPh6M.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Cat, you’re burying the lede here,” says Grace Harper. “Tonight’s main event is a ten-woman, over-the-top battle royale to determine the number one contender for the Femme Fatale championship. I mean, whoever wins that match is going to lose to the Queen of AAA, Steph Blake, but even getting to lose to our champion is an honor in and of itself.”</p><p> </p><p>

Commissioner Persephone Coombs’

</p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/S176AKQhcCk?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Batman v Superman Official Soundtrack | Is She Still With You? | WaterTower"></iframe></div></div> begins playing. “Look like we’ll be starting tonight’s show with some announcements from our commissioner,” says Freebush.<p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Liberation</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/uBl8pJY.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The crowd quiets as Commissioner Coombs takes hold of a microphone. “Good evening, all you Angels in Seattle and those all around the world! I know you don’t come here to see me, you come here to see the amazing athletes of AAA. So, let me get right to it. Tonight’s battle royale will determine the number one contender for the Femme Fatale championship. Ten women will enter the ring. Competitors will be eliminated if they go over the top rope, and both feet touch the floor. When only one woman is left standing in the ring, the match is over, and that woman will face Femme Fatale champion Steph Blake in one month at Battle of the Babes.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Coombs pauses for a moment. “Normally, that would be the biggest news I would have. Because naming a number one contender for the most prestigious women’s title on this side of the planet is huge news. But I have something to announce to you tonight that might be even bigger. As you know, AAA is committed to bringing you the very best female competitors on the planet. Earlier this morning, we finalized the contract for a true superstar of women’s wrestling. I’m not going to draw this out too long, so...let me introduce to you the newest AAA Angel!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="</div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IZBlqcbpmxY?list=RDIZBlqcbpmxY" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IZBlqcbpmxY?list=RDIZBlqcbpmxY" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/IZBlqcbpmxY?list=RDIZBlqcbpmxY"</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IZBlqcbpmxY?list=RDIZBlqcbpmxY" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The crowd goes absolutely bananas. With an unsurprising flair for the dramatic, no one comes out from behind the curtain until the big guitar riff starts.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/lqRIdUF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/UU290zR.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

At that moment, Alicia Strong emerges from behind the curtain, wearing a purple t-shirt with the AAA “wings” logo.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAHD!” explodes Jim Lou Freebush.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Holy crap,” says Grace Harper, for once at a loss for words.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“This is, without a doubt, the biggest signing in AAA history!” says Cat Quine.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Strong plays to the crowd, even doing her father’s signature “hand to the ear, listen for the cheer, give a thumbs up” gesture. The crowd eats it up, and Strong lets them go, waiting for a crescendo that only comes after several minutes. When the crowd finally starts to settle down, Strong takes the microphone proffered by Commissioner Coombs. “You have no idea just how good it is to hear that,” says Strong, getting another pop that she has to wait to die down before she speaks again. “Thank you, thank you all so very much. Wow. I had some things to say, but I need to let these goosebumps die down a little.” The crowd begins chanting, “Strong! Strong! Strong!” and Alicia Strong looks almost demure as she acknowledges the crowd’s excitement. When they calm again, Strong speaks.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You may be asking, ‘why is Alicia Strong here?’. I’d ask a different question - why would any female wrestler </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>not</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> want to be here? Sure, there are other women’s championships in other companies. But in other companies, we’re lucky to get ten minutes out of two hours of content. We’re a ‘special attraction’, or, if you’re being unkind, ‘a sideshow’. Now, believe me, women’s wrestling has made incredible strides over the past decade. But there’s only </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>one</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> company that’s been giving women a venue to show just how good we really are for two decades. The company that started the revolution, and remains the vanguard to this day - the Angel Athletic Association!” The crowd erupts into an “A-A-A! A-A-A!” chant, which Alicia Strong does not interrupt until it naturally begins to die down.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“What am I doing here in AAA?” asks Strong, rhetorically. “Well, for one, because my old friend and colleague Persephone asked me to come,” Strong says with a grin. “But more importantly, I’m here because I wanted to face the best women in the world. I’m here to carry on the Strong legacy. You know, my father always said, ‘If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.’ And I do want to be the very best wrestler I can be. You can’t claim to be the best, if you don’t have AAA gold around your waist. But you don’t just waltz into a company and get gold handed to you - no matter what your last name is. Like everyone else on this roster, I intend to earn my spot. So, in two weeks, at the next AAA show, ‘Riot Grrls’, I will get into this ring and I will start my climb.” Strong looks around the arena, taking the moment in one last time. With chants of “Strong! Strong!” echoing, she grins wide as her music hits, then returns behind the curtain. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Ratings - 84, 78</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“This is a seismic shift of the balance of power in AAA!” exclaims a still-hype Freebush.</p><p> </p><p>

“Alicia Strong may be the best women’s wrestler in North America, and very possibly, in the world,” says Cat Quine. “And it’s not just a case of genetics being destiny, and it’s not nepotism either. Alicia Strong could have coasted on her father’s reputation, put in the bare minimum effort. But that’s not what she did. She went to Japan, and trained with the very best joshi wrestlers on the planet. I’ve had an opportunity to go over there and train with them for two weeks - and believe me, I was beat up and exhausted like I’ve never been before. Alicia Strong did that for <em>years</em>.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I mean, even I’m not going to suggest Alicia Strong isn’t one of the very best in the world - <em>maybe</em> the best, now that I’m retired,” says Harper. “But Alicia Strong has never faced competition like she will in AAA. And you know that every woman in that locker room is going to be gunning for Alicia Strong. I mean, beating a Strong? That’s a one-way ticket to making yourself a household name. So, we’ll see about this whole ‘I want to earn it myself’ business. Let’s see if she changes her tune and starts leaning on her famous father when the clips are down.”</p><p> </p><p>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JaTuE8yvE3s" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/JaTuE8yvE3s"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p>

“Speaking of debuts,” says Freebush, “We’re about to see the in-ring debut of Danielle Sweetheart. There’s always something new and exciting going on here in the AAA!”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #000000;"></p><p>

Ariel Breaks vs. Danielle Sweetheart</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Maybe it’s the nerves of a first match. Maybe trying to follow the bombshell of the Strong signing would put anyone in a bad position. Or maybe Breaks and Sweetheart just don’t click. Whatever the case may be, Danielle Sweetheart’s first AAA match is wholly underwhelming. Awkward timing and at least two noticeably blown spots in a relatively short match mar Sweetheart’s debut. In the end, Sweetheart picks up the win following a </div><a href="http://66.media.tumblr.com/0efc1ced079afba1db252af1ae160932/tumblr_o7kzdnEusr1vp65vyo1_400.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://66.media.tumblr.com/0efc1ced079afba1db252af1ae160932/tumblr_o7kzdnEusr1vp65vyo1_400.gif" rel="external nofollow">Sweet Dreams (running jumping knee to the temple)</a></div><a href="http://66.media.tumblr.com/0efc1ced079afba1db252af1ae160932/tumblr_o7kzdnEusr1vp65vyo1_400.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">, in a match that no one will likely remember given the huge news right before it. Perhaps that's just as well. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Danielle Sweetheart defeated Ariel Breaks in 6:01 by pinfall with a Sweet Dreams. “Being the match right after Alicia Strong's AAA debut? Tough act to follow,” opines Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“That might have been the first we’ve seen of Danielle Sweetheart, but it’s definitely not the last. She’s got a ton of potential, and it’ll be great to see how that develops,” offers Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

The arena goes dark, except for an eerie blue light. As “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXM77Jrh74I" rel="external nofollow">The Killing Moon</a>” starts playing, Freebush says, “That chill in the air, heralds the entrance of the Mother of Monsters, Lilith. Her ‘child’, Devil’s Daughter, is one of three competitors in tonight’s Top Contender championship match.”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Liberation</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Flanked by her “children” Devil’s Daughter and Ellie May Walton, Lilith’s eyes twinkle with malevolence. “Piece by piece, bit by bit, the citadel of the Angels begins to crumble,” she says, with a spiteful chuckle as punctuation. “A month ago, the Devil’s Daughter was going to take away the Fox’s pride and joy." </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/gVkOI5G.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Oh, yes, we saw what losing her title did to the Fox. We saw the self-hatred, the misery it caused. We feast upon pain, and drink from tears. And we were about to gorge ourselves.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/dcnOexP.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/3vdoMpU.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Lilith sneers. “But then, two lost little girls meddled in things they cannot begin to understand. They sought pain, yes, but the simplest kind. Like ill-behaved children, they gorged on the quick, sweet rush of the candy that is vengeance - a meal that leaves your stomach empty. They spoiled our feast. And you know what they say - spare the rod, spoil the child. Consider us the rod, little Misses Quinzel and Svelte. We will not say that it hurts us more than it hurts you, because you will hurt in ways you never dreamed. But we do hope the pain you are about to receive is educational.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Lilith’s demeanor changes from annoyance to beatific bliss. “After all, that is our purpose. We are here to educate the Children of Eve in the folly of their ways. And our ranks continue to swell. Two weeks from now, we will introduce another Child of Lilith. And every woman on this roster should pray to whatever gods they believe might listen, that we do not introduce our children to them.” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Rating - 48</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“Another one?” asks Cat. “Two was already two too many.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I’d be careful saying that out loud,” says Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“Despite that disturbing warning from Lilith, the show must go on,” says Freebush. “Liberation continues with the first of four opening round matches in our tag team championship tournament. Eight teams, all with one end goal in mind - championship gold. Let’s introduce you to one of those teams now - Simony Sentinel and Christy Higgins, the Princess and the Punk, and their manager Joanna Silver.”</p><p> </p><p>

A small venue in Seattle. Way too many people crammed into the space. As P3's music, "Rebel Girl" plays, Simony Sentinel - wearing a tank top to show off her sleeve tattoos, her pink hair not so out of place in this environment, climbs onto the stage. She stage dives into the masses, who hold her aloft as Simony does her voice over. “I guess you could say I’m a risk taker by nature, a thrill seeker. I have been as long as I remember. Diving board at the pool? I was the first one jumping off it. Roller coasters? The badder, the better. I like fast cars, I like fast music. I don’t like people telling me who to be, how to live my life. I know who I am. I’m going to be me, no matter what. And I am going to be half of the AAA Tag Team champions.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

In-ring footage of Sentinel diving off the top rope. There’s a mix of elbow drops, leg drops, splashes, and the Sentinel Strike, a diving European Uppercut that bears a remarkable resemblance to the stage dive seen not long before. “I was made for this business. There’s nothing like getting into a ring, surrounded by thousands of cheering fans, taking on the best competition in the world. I don’t mind getting hit - because I hit back, twice as hard.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Christy Higgins is getting a manicure. She’s all pink everything. In voiceover, “Yes, I’m a girly girl. I love pink. I love fashion, I love makeup, I love my brunch mimosas. All that is true. And all of that being true, doesn’t mean that I can’t </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>wreck you</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Never calling anywhere ‘home’. It’s been an adventure, definitely. And I wouldn’t change the past at all. But since I came to AAA, for the first time, it feels like home. Every sailor needs a home port, right? Well, I guess you can call me the Pirate Lass of Puget Sound.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Clips of Joanna getting in some offense and evading attacks in-ring, mixed with shots of her cheering on the Princess & the Punk at ringside. “Simony and Christy and I? We’re </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>so</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> very different people. We come from different backgrounds. We like very different things. Until we met here, in AAA, we had nothing in common. But now? I really believe, they’re the next tag team champions. And I know we’re best friends. No, we’re more than that. We are a sisterhood.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The Princess & the Punk take charge of this match early and never look back. Big as they may be, Gloria & King are definitely not on the same level as Sentinel & Higgins. The match plays it safe, though there’s some top rope work by Sentinel. When Higgins lands the Florida Upswing on Gloria, the three count is almost perfunctory. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>The Princess & the Punk defeated Glorious Domination in 6:25 when Christy Higgins defeated Glorious Gloria by pinfall with a Florida Upswing. “With that win, the Princess & the Punk punch their ticket to the second round of this tournament,” says Freebush.</p><p> </p><p>

“Who made these brackets, anyway?” asks a huffy Harper. “How did P3 manage to draw a couple of rookies in the first round? I smell collusion.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I have some tin foil, if you need to make a hat,” snarks Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

“Hardy-har-har, Quine,” responds Harper. “Anyway, it doesn’t matter. In this tournament, my money’s on the Delicate Flowers. They’re four time champions, and once they become the first five-time tag champions, they’ll remain tag champions until they decide they want to give the belts up.”</p><p> </p><p>

Freebush puts a finger to his earpiece. “I’m being told there was a confrontation backstage between AAA’s newest signing, Alicia Strong, and Femme Fatale champion Steph Blake. We’re going to roll that footage now.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Oi! You! Yes, you!” hollers Steph Blake off camera, in a very northern, working class voice. She comes into frame. When she realizes the camera’s running, her demeanor instantly changes to her “normal” regal bearing. “We are aware who your father is,” she haughtily intones, “and we recognize our fellow royalty. There can be no doubt that Sam Strong was once the king of our sport. But royalty does not pass along bloodlines in our business. Listen and listen well, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>pretender</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. There is only one queen in this company, and it is us.” Blake gestures to her title. “And so long as we possess this, there can be no rebuttal. While you reside in </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>our</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> queendom, you will show us the respect to which we are entitled!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Strong doesn’t respond for a moment, just staring at Blake. To her credit, Blake doesn’t stand down. “You’re queen, so long as you hold that belt?” Strong asks. Blake smiles. “So, when it gets taken from you, what does that make you?” Strong asks. Blake takes on a slightly ashen color. “There’s ten women in the ring in tonight’s main event, and one of them gets to take you on in a month. I’ll be cheering for them. But if they don’t take that belt off you? I’m coming for that belt, Steph. And there is nothing you’ll be able to do to stop me.” Strong walks off, while Blake looks absolutely shaken by Strong’s promise. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Rating - 79</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“The nerve! Just who does she think she is!” says an aggrieved Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“She’s Alicia Strong, that’s who she is,” replies Cat Quine. “And history has shown that she is more than able to back up her promises.”</p><p> </p><p>

“If I may segue,” says an abnormally meta Freebush, “Laura Flame issued a challenge. Amber Allen accepted her challenge. Allen’s been wrestling matches with a ten-minute time limit, and she’s needed far less than that to win. Will Laura Flame next on the list of challenges conquered by the Ultimate Competitor?”</p><p> </p><p>

Laura Flame vs. Amber Allen</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

After the bell rings, the two women have a stare off that lasts 20, 30 seconds. And then, they go to work.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The match goes at a breakneck pace, as both women go all out in this one. Allen chain-wrestles Flame, and to Flame’s credit, she’s able to go move-for-move with the technical genius of Allen. After one series of holds, reversals, and counter-holds, Allen smiles, clearly enjoying being pushed by the ferocious young woman from Staten Island. Flame decides to stop playing according to Allen’s gameplan, drawing on her vast kickboxing experience to unleash a series of strikes. Allen, to her credit, is able to block most of the shots, but not all of them. A spinning back elbow lands flush on Allen’s jaw with enough force to be audible to audience, who gasp at the sound. With Allen seated and holding her jaw, it’s Flame’s turn to smile. Allen nods her head as she gets up, and gestures for Flame to bring it on. Flame goes for more strikes, clearly overconfident as she doesn’t see the fairly obvious trap being set. When Flame tries a crescent kick, Allen grabs her outstretched leg and pulls Flame in. With just enough time for Flame to register what’s happening, Allen hits an enormous capture suplex.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Allen pulls Flame up to her feet. Flame is clearly out of it, and is in no position to stop Allen. Allen bends down and wraps her arms around Flame, and then heaves Flame up and over into a </div><a href="https://imgur.com/iIBtF" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://imgur.com/iIBtF" rel="external nofollow">Northern Lights suplex</a></div><a href="https://imgur.com/iIBtF" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Allen’s bridge is a thing of beauty. Referee Dwight Kumas goes to the mat, and counts one, two...and then the bell rings. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Laura Flame drew with Amber Allen in 10:00 when the time limit expired. Amber Allen gets to her feet after the bell rings, clearly believing that she’s won the match. She raises her arms in victory, but referee Dwight Kumas grabs one of her arms and pulls it down. Allen looks completely baffled. Though they can’t be heard, it’s clear from the ref’s gesturing and Allen’s increasingly dumbfounded expression that Allen is just now realizing she was one second away from victory when time expired. Allen looks supremely annoyed. She shakes her head, and then leaves the ring quite unhappy. The crowd boos Kumas for his decision, but this one is in the books. Grace Harper is laughing hysterically. She wipes a tear from her eyes. “Oh, oh, that’s great! That’s hilarious!” Harper starts laughing again, unable to control her delight.</p><p> </p><p>

“Grace, you have a sick sense of humor, you know that?” asks Cat Quine. Harper’s too busy cracking up to respond. “Amber Allen had that match won. The referee’s hand was coming down for the three when the bell rung.”</p><p> </p><p>

Struggling to regain control, Harper says, “Allen’s the one who asked for the ten minute stipulation! Oh, schadenfreude is my favorite feeling!” Harper continues to laugh, to the point she mutes her mic. Quine and Freebush’s mic are still able to pick up some of her laughing.</p><p> </p><p>

“While our colleague tries to regain her composure, the show must go on,” says Freebush. “We’re about to see the second of our tag team tournament matches. Katherine Goodlooks is a four-time tag team champion. Steffi Chee has wrestled all around the world. But those experiences pale in comparison to the clockwork team efficiency of the Delicate Flowers. Goodlooks makes a tag to Steffi Chee to regroup, but gets drop kicked off the apron by Kate Lilly. With her partner taken out, Chee has no chance of surviving the onslaught. Lilly tags in Debbie Rose, then goes top rope. Rose hits a thunderous brainbuster on Chee while Lilly dives from the top rope. As soon as Chee hits the canvas, she’s immediately hit with a Lilly Launch Pad frog splash. There’s no doubt as Debbie Rose makes the cover and gets the three count. Talia Quinzel takes the mic. Selina Svelte stands behind her, figurative and literally. “Listen up, I got something to say.” The crowd booes. Talia doesn’t care. “You know what it took for Foxxy LaRue to beat me? My quad ripping apart. And what then? For months she struts around, acting like she’s somebody. You know what she is? She’s a nobody who got lucky. I don’t tear my quad, she never wins that match. But I did tear my quad, and now, instead of Foxxy running back down to Texas with her tail between her legs, she think she belongs here. Foxxy LaRue is a weed that’s sunk its roots into the soil here. Weeds are hard to remove, it’s true. Takes time, and effort. Believe me, I’ve got plenty of both to give, and when I’m done, there isn’t going to be a trace of Foxxy LaRue left in this company.” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Rating - 43</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/2grrL5B.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Just...just hear me out, okay?” says Cat Jemson. “I get it. You two got into a fight, and you’re mad at each other. I get it. But Demelza, Nadia...you don’t have to be friends, you just have to be professionals. Lots of people manage to deal with co-workers they don’t like. But if you two just put everything to the side and join in the tag team tournament, you could win it. I’ll happily bump another team. What do you say?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Cat, I’d say you’re getting desperate,” says Nadia Snow. “Are we done here? I’ve got a battle royale to win later.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Your delusions are downright cute,” says Demelza Wade. “You’ve got a battle royale to lose later, when I toss you over the top rope like the sack of garbage you are.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“I’d like to see you try,” says Nadia, moving in closer.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Oh, you won’t just see it, you’re gonna feel it,” says Demelza. The two women engage in a tense staredown before backing off each other. Cat Jemson looks very relieved things didn’t go worse.</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“I don’t know what on earth Cat Jemson was thinking,” says Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

“I know, why would she try to saddle Demelza Wade with that baggage?” asks Grace Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“Right,” says Cat Quine, with a shake of her head. “Anyway. Our broadcast partner, Jim Lou Freebush, is backstage, trying to get an interview with Foxxy LaRue right before our three-way dance for the Top Contender title begins. Jim?”</p><p> </p><p>

“Thanks, Cat,” says Jim Lou Freebush. “And there’s Foxxy LaRue now,” he says.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/gVkOI5G.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The camera swings to show Foxxy in full gear, belt around her waist. She looks to be in the zone. “Foxxy, I just wondered if you had anything you wanted to say before the match happens.” Foxxy looks Freebush straight in the eye, but says nothing. Finally, she speaks.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“No.” Foxxy moves toward the curtain, cracking the knuckles on both hands, one at a time.</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“Not a fan of Foxxy, but I am a fan of people making Jimmy boy look like a dope,” says Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“Clearly, Foxxy LaRue is ready to get things underway, and I’m inclined to agree with that,” says Cat Quine. “Let’s get to the ring, right now.”</p><p> </p><p>

Devil’s Daughter (w/ Lilith & Ellie May Walton) vs. Talia Quinzel vs. Foxxy LaRue (champion)</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Maybe it’s because it’s the first time these three have all worked together at the same time, but the match is slower paced than might have been expected. Talia Quinzel seems particularly off - though, with this being the first non-squash match she’s been involved in after her injury, perhaps it should have been expected.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Nevertheless, the story comes across. Talia Quinzel and Devil’s Daughter do not like each other, at all, but both have it out for Foxxy. Foxxy fights off initial double-teaming by Quinzel and DD. Her height advantage helps keep DD off her, but Quinzel is one of the few women who’s taller than Foxxy, negating that advantage. Quinzel and DD both work Foxxy’s back - Quinzel setting up the </div><a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/522a2049e4b0a0ce717e990c/56a6ca381a5203ae3ead86c9/56a6ca3869a91a83ae939351/1453771334110/backbreaker.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/522a2049e4b0a0ce717e990c/56a6ca381a5203ae3ead86c9/56a6ca3869a91a83ae939351/1453771334110/backbreaker.gif" rel="external nofollow">Spinal Trauma backbreaker</a></div><a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/522a2049e4b0a0ce717e990c/56a6ca381a5203ae3ead86c9/56a6ca3869a91a83ae939351/1453771334110/backbreaker.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">, DD looking to put Foxxy in the </div><a href="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/f3/dc/8c/f3dc8c1f5bdd4ebe5b77ee5615257443.jpg" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/f3/dc/8c/f3dc8c1f5bdd4ebe5b77ee5615257443.jpg" rel="external nofollow">Going Down Below camel clutch</a></div><a href="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/f3/dc/8c/f3dc8c1f5bdd4ebe5b77ee5615257443.jpg" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Of course, DD and Quinzel both want to win the match, so when Quinzel goes for a pinfall, DD breaks it up. DD hisses at Quinzel, who responds by putting up her dukes. The two heels brawl while Foxxy catches a breather. After taking a moment to recover, Foxxy launches herself across the ring, taking both women down with a double clothesline. Foxxy tosses DD out of the ring, who lands in a heap in front of a furious Lilith. Turning to Quinzel, Foxxy hones in on Quinzel’s recently-healed leg, dropping elbows and kicking at Quinzel’s quad. Foxxy transitions into a </div><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/E3ymz095z2IY8/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/E3ymz095z2IY8/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow">spinning toe hold</a></div><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/E3ymz095z2IY8/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">, and it’s only Quinzel’s height that allows her to grab the bottom rope and break the hold instead of tapping out.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quinzel’s limping as she stands, clearly trying not to put pressure on the leg that’s been worked. Foxxy leg-sweeps Quinzel right back down to the mat. She pulls Quinzel by the leg into the center of the ring. At this point, DD makes her presence known again, as she shoulder blocks Foxxy right in the small of her back. DD pulls Foxxy into the corner, then exits the ring. From the outside, DD pulls Foxxy into the turnbuckle post in a bow and arrow like position. DD can’t get a submission victory from the move, but she does hold onto it for as long as she possibly can before referee Dwight Kumas stops her. DD rolls back into the ring, but does not go after Foxxy, not immediately. Instead, she starts unleashing stomps onto Talia’s leg. This causes Selina Svelte to come running down the aisle, to try and bail out her friend, but Svelte is met midway down by Ellie May Walton. Walton charges directly into the much-smaller Svelte, who crumples like a Geo being hit by a Mack truck.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

With Quinzel incapacitated, DD pulls Foxxy into the center of the ring. With fury in her eyes, DD stomps onto Foxxy’s back, even hitting a double foot stomp. DD then locks in Going Down Below. Foxxy is in immense pain, screaming, tears running from her eyes, but she refuses to submit. Foxxy manages to last a good 20 seconds in Going Down Below before DD sits into the hold deeper, wrenching Foxxy’s body into an even more extreme contortion. Foxxy holds on for another 10 seconds or so, beginning to fade from the pain, before she taps out. DD keeps the hold on, even as the bell rings, and Foxxy fully passes out before the referee can pull DD off and award her the Top Contender title. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Devil's Daughter defeated Talia Quinzel and Foxxy LaRue in 12:56 when Devil's Daughter defeated Talia Quinzel by submission with a Going Down Below. DD, Ellie May, and Lilith pose over the still-unmoving body of Foxxy LaRue as “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXM77Jrh74I" rel="external nofollow">The Killing Moon</a>” plays. Talia Quinzel limps out of the ring, hobbling while Selina Svelte supports her on her shoulder. “Angels, things in the Top Contender title picture have just gotten a little darker,” says Freebush.</p><p> </p><p>

“Foxxy LaRue held out as long as she could. She wasn’t willing to give up until she was basically unconscious,” says Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

“Because she’s an idiot,” says Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“How on earth can you say that?” asks an incredulous Cat.</p><p> </p><p>

“Because the end result was the same,” says Harper. “If she was smart, she would have realized today wasn’t her day. She should have tapped out as soon as Devil’s Daughter got the hold locked in. Instead, who knows how damaged Foxxy’s lower back is as a result of not knowing when to quit?”</p><p> </p><p>

“Foxxy’s a fighter, Grace, and she’s got pride,” says Cat. “It’s not in Foxxy’s nature to just quit.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Pride cometh before the fall, Cathy,” says Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“Speaking of pride,” says Freebush in one of his trademark segues, “there may not be a more proud - some would say arrogant - figure in AAA than the Queen of Mean, Steph Blake. The Femme Fatale champion commandeered our backstage camera operator to deliver a message to the participants in our upcoming battle royale for the #1 Contendership.”</p><p> </p><p>

The camera angle is slightly askew as Steph Blake says, “Get that camera working, peasant.” The camera needs a second to focus, as Steph Blake gets right into the camera lens. “This is a message from the Queen of AAA to the addled-brained poppets who fight for the right to be humiliated by the past, present, and future Queen, Steph Blake. Enjoy the rush of your fleeting victory tonight, and prepare yourself for the crushing disappointment when we dispose of you like a soiled handkerchief. Some fool had the gall to ask us who we preferred win this battle royale - a tarnishing of the term ‘royale’ to be associated with anyone besides ourselves. Our answer? It. Does. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Not</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Matter</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Any one of the ten will have the same outcome - humiliation. Shame. Embarrassment at our hands. So, as the referee raises your hand in victory tonight, remember one thing - you’ve just gotten an audience with the Queen, and when you do, it’ll be off with your head.” Blake looks past the camera. “Now turn that off, you toerag.”</div></DIV><p> </p><p>

“The way Van Gogh used paint, our Queen uses words,” says a rapturous Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“Sounds to me like Steph Blake’s a little nervous,” says Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

“You shut your peasant mouth!” says a scandalized Harper. “Steph Blake is our Queen, and long may she reign!”</p><p> </p><p>

“First, she’s going to have to get past one of the ten women who are coming into the ring for tonight’s main event, an over-the-top-rope battle royale,” says Cat. “There are no pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications. You lose by going over the top rope and having at least two feet on the floor outside. You win by being the last woman standing in the ring.”</p><p> </p><p>

As the bell rings, there’s a moment of initial hesitation. Then all hell breaks loose as wild brawls erupt between all ten participants. Unsurprisingly, Nadia Snow and Demelza Wade immediately rush each other. Anderson and McGee team together to take on Tracey Brendon, while technical wizard Selina Svelte decides to test her luck against Paige Croft. Meanwhile, after a nod of respect to each other, Jaime Quine and Suzanne Brazzle lock up. Elsa Calvo decides to crash the party, laying both out with a running cross body. She gets up, pleased with herself, only to turn right into Suzanne Brazzle. Brazzle heaves the young competitor up and over the ropes, but Calvo hangs on and stands on the apron. She’s immediately taken off the apron by a Jaime Quine K.O. Kick, and plenty more than just Elsa Calvo’s feet hit the floor as she falls to the mat in a heap.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Meanwhile, the team of Wendy Anderson and Bobbie McGee are managing to rock Tracey Brendon, but aren’t able to get her down. Brendon grabs Bobbie by the hair and tosses her over the top rope, but the acrobatic Bobbie easily holds on. But turning her back to Anderson is a mistake, as Anderson hits a sitout rear mat slam. Bobbie goes to climb the top rope, but as Anderson is pulling Brendon to her feet, Brendon punches Anderson in the throat and puts her up on her shoulder for an </div><a href="http://imgur.com/V048TUT" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://imgur.com/V048TUT" rel="external nofollow">Idaho Crunch running powerslam</a></div><a href="http://imgur.com/V048TUT" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. However, seeing Bobbie having just made it to the top of the turnbuckle, Brendon essentially throws Anderson like a javelin at the precariously perched McGee. McGee takes a bump to the outside in a seated position, while Anderson’s able to go flat-back as she hits the mats outside. McGee looks to be in some amount of pain as she and her Flower Power tag partner head toward the back.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Down now to seven competitors, the initial flurry of activity settles down as the remaining women in the ring start trying to wear each other down. Wade and Snow land vicious chops on each other in the corner. Quine and Brazzle continue to try to get one on each other, though neither manages to get terribly close to getting the other over the top. Tracey Brendon decides to go after the smallest woman in the match, Paige Croft, who had been tangling with Selina Svelte. Svelte happily lets Brendon have at Croft, while she slinks into an unoccupied corner, clearly all right with just watching and hopefully staying under the radar. Svelte decides to get involved only after Wade manages to thumb Snow in the eye. Svelte immediately takes Snow down to the mat with her </div><a href="http://imgur.com/Oxu0s" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://imgur.com/Oxu0s" rel="external nofollow">Prawn Arm Lock (kimura lock)</a></div><a href="http://imgur.com/Oxu0s" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Wade looks displeased with Svelte’s interference, and pulls her off Snow. Svelte gesticulates, wondering what Wade’s problem is; Wade makes motions of throwing someone over the top, pointing out that taking someone to the mat in this match is counterproductive. Wade motions for Svelte to pick Snow up, and backs off...only to unleash a SuperStar Kick on Svelte. Wade pulls the dazed Svelte up and heaves her over the top rope, yelling down to Svelte that “She’s mine, don’t get involved in things that don’t involve you!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Meanwhile, Tracey Brendon has broken up Brazzle and Quine’s scrum. She focuses on Brazzle. Snow and Wade continue their private war. This leaves Jaime Quine and Paige Croft unpaired. The fans start to buzz as the two of them size each other up. They go in for a quick handshake, and then they start to go at it, to the delight of the crowd. It’s a very even match, neither one able to get a definitive advantage on the other. The battle is interrupted, however, when Croft notices Brazzle going for her </div><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/uD8so0DSMf0mA/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/uD8so0DSMf0mA/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow">Miracle Connection lionsault</a></div><a href="https://media.giphy.com/media/uD8so0DSMf0mA/giphy.gif" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. As Brazzle heads towards the ropes, Croft follows her. Brazzle jumps onto the second rope, and is nailed square in the back by Croft. Brazzle tumbles head over heels out of the ring, and though she makes a valiant effort to hang on as she goes over the ropes, her momentum is too much and she lands feet-first onto the mat.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Elimination #5: Paige Croft eliminates Suzanne Brazzle.</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The field has been halved at this point. Wade and Snow get tied up in the ropes. Both try to get the other over, but neither one is having much success. It’s only when Tracey Brendon gets involved that the stalemate breaks. The combined efforts of Brendon and Wade are too much, and Snow finds herself deposited to the outside.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Elimination #6: Demelza Wade & Tracey Brendon eliminate Nadia Snow.</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Demelza Wade, of course, is delighted by this turn of events. She leans over the ropes to talk trash to her former A-List partner. Wade’s desire to gloat proves her undoing as this leaves her entirely vulnerable, and Tracey Brendon easily tips Wade up and over, where she crashes to the mat right next to the woman she had just been mocking.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Elimination #7: Tracey Brendon eliminates Demelza Wade.</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The field is down to three - Paige Croft, Jaime Quine, and Tracey Brendon. Croft and Quine look at each other, realizing they could team together against Brendon, and leave things as a one-on-one contest. Brendon realizes it too, and decides to pre-emptively bullrush the smaller of her two opponents. Quine breaks things up, but is met with a boot to the gut. From there, the three women trade off attacks, Quine and Croft deciding to let this one play out every woman for herself. Eventually, Croft’s size works against her as Brendon heaves Croft over the top rope. Croft hangs onto Brendon as she goes over, pulling both women onto the apron. Jaime Quine unleashes a K.O. Kick at Brendon, but Brendon sees it coming. Brendon dodges, pulling Croft into the line of fire. The kick connects with authority, sending Croft down hard to the mats below. The normally unemotional Croft looks up with disbelief, wincing while she holds her jaw, while Jaime says, “I’m sorry, Paige!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Elimination #8: Jaime Quine eliminates Paige Croft.</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jaime is clearly wanting to make sure things between her and Croft are all right, when Brendon decides to try tipping Quine over the top rope like she did Demelza Wade. Quine, however, realizes in time that it’s coming, and blocks the attempt at tossing her out. The next few minutes are tense, as both women come close to dumping the other outside. The end comes when Tracey Brendon decides to go for an all-or-nothing gambit. She rushes in with a running clothesline while Jaime’s on the ropes. Brendon doesn’t hold up as she approaches the ropes, willing to let her own momentum carry her over along with Quine. Brendon hooks an arm over the top rope as she goes over, while Quine grabs the top rope with both hands. Quine’s feet are no more than a foot, at most, above the floor. She dangles precipitously, the crowd on the edge of their seats, before she manages to swing her legs out to the side and climb back onto the apron. Brendon and Quine battle on the apron, Brendon trying to land a solid enough haymaker to send Quine sprawling. Quine goes for a kick to the gut, but Brendon catches Quine’s leg. Quine hits an enziguri, holding tight to the top rope, while the force is enough to make Brendon lose her footing.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jaime climbs back into the ring, and has her hand raised by referee Dwight Kumas. Jaime Quine beams at the opportunity she’s won...but the moment is quickly spoiled by a sneak attack from Steph Blake, slamming the Femme Fatale title into the back of Jaime’s head.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quine’s music stops and the audience boos as Steph Blake pulls Jaime into a sitting position by her hair. She has a few unkind words to say to Jaime, and then slaps her hard across the face, sending Jaime back down to the mat. Blake starts kicking Jaime with absolute fury, only stopping when “

Alicia Strong comes running from behind the curtain at full speed, sliding halfway across the ring as she enters. Blake immediately jumps out of the ring in the other direction, looking very smug about what she’s just done and making absolutely no apologies. She holds up her title belt to the jeers of the crowd as she saunters back behind the curtain. Meanwhile, Alicia Strong helps Jaime Quine get to her feet.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quine’s dazed, and appears to be surprised to be face-to-face with Alicia Strong. The two women, both of them possessing names that put a lot of pressure on them from Day 1, stand a mere foot and a half apart. Every smartphone in the audience is taking pictures or recording the still shocking reality of Jaime Quine and Alicia Strong together in an AAA ring. Jaime Quine, holding the back of her head where she was hit earlier, extends her other hand to Alicia Strong. Strong looks at Quine’s proffered hand for a moment, and then shakes it with a huge smile on her face. The women pull each other in for a hug, and then Strong lifts Quine’s arm in victory. Strong gestures to Quine, and then applauds her, before leaving the ring to let Quine have her moment of victory. “Fine, say it, get it out of your system,” says Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m so proud of Jaime,” says Cat. “She earned this victory tonight. I’m thrilled that she’ll be challenging Steph Blake for the title at Battle of the Babes one month from now.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I am praying Jaime doesn’t win the Femme Fatale championship,” says Harper. “Because if she does, Cathy, you’re going to be utterly insufferable.”</p><p> </p><p>

“We have our new #1 Contender for the Femme Fatale championship, on what is no doubt one of the most historic nights in AAA history,” says Freebush. “That championship match comes one month from now, Angels. But we have a show in two weeks, called ‘Riot Grrls’, that we hope you’ll join us for. We’ll be seeing the AAA debut of Alicia Strong then, as well as dealing with the fallout from Lilith’s brood now holding AAA gold. Plus, the tag team title tournament rolls on. You won’t want to miss it. On behalf of my broadcast colleagues Grace Harper and Cat Quine, thank you to all you Angels, and we look forward to seeing you two weeks from now!”</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Nice! I did not see that coming. Alicia Strong's a coup for sure. Looking forward to see what you do with her. </p><p> </p><p>

The battle royal turned out well, and the aftermath... I'm hyped. Can't see Jaime and Alicia stay allies for long, and how you eventually handle that (Alicia heel turn? YES please!) I really look forward to.</p>

<p>AAA Liberation 2016 Results</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Match Results</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Danielle Sweetheart</strong></p><p> </p><p> At this point, Ariel Breaks is pretty much the welcoming committee for faces joining AAA. The match turned out to be something of a dud, but that seemed to be mostly due to some really terrible chemistry between Breaks and Sweetheart. I'm expecting better performances from Danielle Sweetheart in the future, and I think I'll get them.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Princess & the Punk (Christy Higgins & Simony Sentinel)</strong> w/ Joanna Silver vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</p><p> </p><p> So, were you actually watching this show, you'd know who wins by whether or not they got a video package before their match. That said, P&P have been the queens of the pre-show, but I haven't really used them on main cards. Which is a shame, because I think in terms of vivid characters, P3 has a ton of narrative possibilities.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Temes1066" data-cite="Temes1066" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Glorious Domination maybe going out the door.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> At least one half of them, anyway.</p><p> </p><p> Amber Allen <strong>vs.</strong> Laura Flame</p><p> </p><p> These two really punched above their weight class in their match together. Clearly, I'm not pulling a Kurt Angle with Amber Allen, in the sense that her winning streak has been broken, but I have some very high hopes for this pairing again in the future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Dr_Avalanche" data-cite="Dr_Avalanche" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Amber has been booked strong this far, but I think this is where she finds out that there is competition in AAA. An upset would have been huge for Goodlooks & Chee, but I can't take the Delicate Flowers - the most decorated tag team currently functional in AAA - out in the first round. They're just too good.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Sudo_Nym" data-cite="Sudo_Nym" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>How long has it been since we've seen Katherine Goodlooks? And Tracey Brendon. At least Tracey got to shine a little in the battle royale.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Devil’s Daughter</strong> vs. Talia Quinzel vs. Foxxy LaRue (champion)</p><p> </p><p> The structure of this match is such that, had I wanted to, I could have had DD lose without being pinned or submitted, which would protect the mystique of the Children of Lilith. But I felt like we'd reached the point where I had pull the trigger on taking the Children to the next level in order to keep them relevant. Talia Quinzel's performance in this match really brought things down, and in retrospect, the Delicate Flowers match or the Allen/Flame match would have been a better semi-main. But hindsight's 20/20.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Temes1066" data-cite="Temes1066" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The Children of Lilith will tilt the odds</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Dr_Avalanche" data-cite="Dr_Avalanche" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>My heart says Talia, but my brain tells me she's probably going to be furthest from standing tall here. Up until I knew I had Strong signed - which wasn't until the day of this show, as it happens - Jaime Quine's the company's top face. I toyed with Alicia Strong entering into this match and winning it on her first day in the company. I decided to go with the match I had planned when it wasn't clear whether I was going to get Strong or not.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bonus Questions</span></strong></p><p> <strong>1. For one point each:</strong></p><p><strong> * Who are the final four women in the battle royale?</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jaime Quine, Tracey Brendon, Paige Croft, Demelza Wade</strong> (just barely, given she's eliminated about five seconds after Nadia Snow)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>* Who will get the most eliminations?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Throwing <strong>Tracey Brendon</strong> a bone, and making her look strong. It's not quite having a program for her, but it's keeping her relevant until I do.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>2. AAA will introduce a new signing (the last for a while, the roster’s getting bloated). Who will it be?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Nobody guessed this one, and why would anyone have guessed it? I don't think it's common for <strong>Alicia Strong</strong> to not get an extension from USPW. She is, literally, the most over women's wrestler in the world. Earlier in the diary, I bemoaned that Killer Kass had been resigned by USPW, contrary to every other women's diary on this board. I suppose this is payback for that, by an exponential factor. That said, signing Strong is one thing; keeping her is very different. I believe the six-month "cooldown" will be in effect for USPW, so they can't just sign her right back. But I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, that shoe being NOTBPW. AAA is still regional, and we can't offer written contracts. If NOTBPW does offer Strong a written contract, there's no way I can possibly keep her. I'm just hoping NOTBPW is not interested in adding to their roster after poaching Zoe Ammis and Cherry Bomb.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>3. Danielle Sweetheart’s finisher is, yep, you guessed it, ANOTHER FRIGGIN’ SUPERKICK. One point for suggesting another move as Sweetheart’s finisher. If I choose your suggestion, you’ll get another point. </strong></p><p> </p><p> Lots of good suggestions. I love the double stomp, and I think that'll wind up being a heel's finisher. I dunno, it feels like such a heel move to me when it's mat-based. Balor's Coup de Grace from the top rope doesn't strike me the same way, and I have no idea why. That running forearm is NASTY, actually a little too nasty for someone named "Sweetheart", but I'm keeping that in my back pocket. SMY's finisher was a shining wizard, so I didn't go for that because, in story, it just seems too soon to recycle her iconic finishing move within AAA. I thought about top rope, given Sweetheart's active in the lucha-inspired QAW, but it just didn't fit the vibe I was wanting for Sweetheart. Long Kiss Goodnight will probably get used, but since it's still a kick finisher, I didn't want to switch a kick for a kick, even if they are very different.</p><p> </p><p> The <strong>running jumping knee strike</strong> worked for me. It's a finisher you can do on anyone, no matter their weight class. It's a sudden move, so it can come out of nowhere. It looks good, like it would hurt. Lots of good ideas, and I'll probably steal several for future finishers.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tiebreaker</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> What will be the score for this show? The last show, Heatwave, scored a 59.</p><p> </p><p> We scored a <strong>60</strong> here. That's entirely attributable to the strength of Alicia Strong's promo work. The actual matches were fairly mediocre; Allen/Flame over performed, the triple-threat underperformed, and Sweetheart's debut match was wholly underwhelming.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Sudo_Nym" data-cite="Sudo_Nym" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also, I feel like you're funning me, with your response to my completely legitimate grievance, and I frankly do not appreciate it. <p>Interlude - Abdicating the Throne</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Reverie Center</strong></p><p><strong>

Atlanta, GA</strong></p><p><strong>

August 16, 2016</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/9u2gi3f.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/lqRIdUF.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“That’s your best offer?” said Alicia Strong. “Seriously?”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/8t5SWF1.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/6glhgyF.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Robbie Sanchez, head booker of USPW turned to Allen Packer, USPW's owner. Normally, Mr. Packer wasn’t involved in these conversations. Mr. Packer was the leader of a global media conglomerate, whose professional wrestling division was closer to a side project than a profit leader. But negotiations with the daughter of one of the most popular performers of all time - if not <em>the</em> most popular, the daughter of the man you had bought the company from, was not a normal situation.</p><p> </p><p>

“Listen, Alicia,” said Sanchez, “when the USPW women’s division started a decade ago, there were no nationally-known female wrestlers. Your father booked you as the centerpiece because you were both a fantastic performance <em>and</em> because you had name recognition. You were the daughter of The Icon. When the division started, it was a gamble whether audiences would support women’s wrestling. It’s to your credit, and your father’s credit, that our audiences have embraced women’s wrestling as part of our show.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Oh, damn it, Robbie, stop with the flattery and get to the point, please?” said Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

Sanchez grimaced, but continued. “What I’m saying is, when the women’s division started, it was a one-woman show because you were the only woman that people really wanted to see,” said Sanchez. “You showed people that women could put on a match worth watching. You made it cool to be a fan of women’s wrestling. Some say you started the women’s revolution in USPW, and I’m inclined to agree with them.” Robbie shifted in his seat. “That was a decade ago, Alicia. In that time, the landscape has changed. Because you changed it. The women’s division has a historic level of talent right now.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Which is why we get maybe one match and one angle per show?” asked Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally, Allen Packer spoke. “What is it you want, exactly?” he asked. His heavy Deep South accent had led many people to trust him, and many others to underestimate him. Doing either was a mistake.</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m the biggest women’s wrestler on the planet,” said Alicia Strong, flatly. “I’m not being a mark for myself. I helped my dad when he ran this company. I know how to read a balance sheet. I still keep an eye on the ratings. I know that I sell more merch than any other woman on this roster. I know my segments - when I get them, which I haven’t gotten for almost a month - consistently draw more eyeballs than any other woman in this company.”</p><p> </p><p>

“And the contract we have prepared for you reflects that,” said Sanchez. “You’ll continue to be the highest-paid woman in this company.”</p><p> </p><p>

“To do what?” retorted Alicia.</p><p> </p><p>

“You know, Alicia,” said Sanchez. “A lot of people would look at a reduced schedule, while keeping your same salary, as a benefit.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m not most people, Robbie,” said Alicia. She turned to Mr. Packer. “Look, you’re from outside the business. You made your fortune as an iconoclast. You turned down deals that would have brought you immediate cash because you knew they would tie you down, they would compromise your independence,” she said. Packer said nothing, but nodded. “This contract is asking me to sign over all my likeness rights. I have to clear any outside media appearances - including social media postings - with the company before I say or do anything public. It’s requiring me to use my social media accounts to be an ‘influencer’ and hawk whatever crap people pay us to hawk, as if it was my own idea.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Those are standard in the contracts of Reverie performers,” said Packer. “That’s across all divisions. Film, TV, music, emerging technologies. I’m not asking you to do anything I wouldn’t ask the stars of any of our other programming to do. “</p><p> </p><p>

“All I have to do is give up my independence,” said Strong. “Look. A lot of people complained about my dad and how he handled his career. He was never a company man. They said he was in the business only for himself, even if it was bad for the business overall.” Alicia took a swig of water. “But who in the hell else should he have been in business for? My dad walked away from big money deals because he knew the most important thing for him to succeed was to be the master of his own destiny. That’s why he had creative control in his contracts. That’s why he bought into USPW. It ensured that he remained the biggest name in the business until the day he decided he was ready to retire, and he cashed out of the business with one of the biggest checks ever written in this business.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Alicia, you’re not your father,” said Sanchez. There was no malice in his tone. “Women’s wrestling is a draw, we've proven that. You <em>are</em> a draw. But you don’t draw half of what your father drew. That’s not an insult. Most people in this business can’t draw 1% of what your father drew. And the days of men like your father in this business are over. It’s not the Wild West anymore. It’s not cruising from territory to territory, leaving empty bottles of Jack and angry spouses in your wake. More than ever, this business is a <em>business</em>. Run like an actual business. And your contract is making you a very rich businesswoman.”</p><p> </p><p>

Alicia Strong gathered her thoughts for a moment. “I’m already a very rich businesswoman, Robbie,” she said, steel in her eyes. “And even if I wasn’t, I’m the only child of a man who cashed an enormous check written by you, Mr. Parker,” she said, turning to him as she spoke. “It’s easy to say when you have plenty of it, but money really isn’t everything. I want to be the person who controls my own fate.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/VqsHUGK.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/reSqVfC.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Sanchez laughed, incredulously. “Alicia, where are you going to go? North of the Border? The Stones and the Strongs aren’t exactly the best of friends. 5-Star? Do you really want to pull up stakes and live across the world, just to kill yourself for a few thousand people?”</p><p> </p><p>

“I don’t know, Robbie,” said Alicia. “What I do know is that I’m not agreeing to this contract. You’re giving me the same amount of money, while you’re asking me to give up more. Any way you look at that, it’s a loss for me.” Alicia took a deep breath. “If this is the best you’re willing to give, then I think it’s time for us to part ways.”</p><p> </p><p>

Sanchez looked to Packer. Packer shrugged. “Like I said,” Packer drawled, “even if I don’t like your decision, I respect you making it. Maybe it’s because I don’t have a background in wrasslin’, but to me, this is just business. I don’t take it personal. Now, I do think USPW is the only company that’s gonna give you what you’re worth, along with the international platform you oughtta be on. So far as I’m concerned, Alicia, the door remains open. You just give ol’ Robbie here a call if you want to talk turkey again.” Packer stood and extended his hand. Alicia stood and shook it.</p><p> </p><p>

“I’ll keep that in mind,” said Alicia. She gathered her things and left, without further words spoken. When she left Sanchez's office, Sanchez spoke.</p><p> </p><p>

“The biggest name in women’s wrestling just walked out the door,” he said.</p><p> </p><p>

Packer strolled over to the floor to ceiling windows in Sanchez's spacious corner office and stared at the skyline, a media king surveying his fiefdom of Atlanta. “Yup. I reckon she did.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Aren’t you worried?”</p><p> </p><p>

“Not particularly,” said Packer. “Alicia Strong does shift the numbers. But it’s possible we haven’t done enough to push the other talent we have. If we build up a few other women, I think we can replace the sales and the views.”</p><p> </p><p>

“She’s not going to be kind in interviews about why she left.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I reckon that’s right,” said Packer. “But in the end, we’re the only game in town. Eisen isn’t interested in a women’s division. TCW is trying to rebuild and focus on their main demographics, so they’re not starting a women’s division either. NOTBPW might be #1 in Canada, but that’s a market of 36 million. We reach billions of people, easy.” Packer stepped away from the window. He poured himself a glass of bourbon. “In the end, she’ll be back. I think being outside the bubble of USPW might show her just how good she’s had it here. Instead of having her discontent backstage, she’ll come back with a new perspective.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/UU290zR.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Sanchez got up and poured himself a glass. “What about her going to the Angel Athletic Association?”</p><p> </p><p>

Packer chuckled. “They’re the feeder league for our women’s division.” Packer took a drink. “I can’t imagine she’d be willing to work for that small of a crowd and that small a payday. But,” he said, thinking things over, “If she did do that...well, good for us. When Alicia Strong comes back, she’ll have raised the profile of AAA just enough so that when we debut a new ‘rassler who’s from AAA, we can use it when building her up. I mean, it’s not like AAA is a threat to us, in any way, shape or form. They don't have a TV show, and they're basically unknown outside of the Pacific Northwest. They're not competition, and Alicia Strong isn't going to change that.”</p><p> </p><p>

“What you’re saying is,” said Sanchez, “is that any way this breaks, we can make something out of it. Turn it to our advantage.”</p><p> </p><p>

Allen Packer grinned. “Story of my career, Robbie. And I’ll toast to that!”</p>

<p>I'll echo that. Everyone acts in a way that make sense from their own personal perspective, there are no good guys or bad guys, just people with motivations that unfortunately contradicts each other. </p><p> </p><p>

It also puts a cushion in place in case USPW change their mind in six months and signs Alicia again.</p>

<p>Riot Grrls Prediction Card</p><p> </p><p>

<em>As heard on the September 4, 2016, edition of the “Observer Wrestling” podcast</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/GRYTB6A.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>Dan Seltzer</strong>: ...to be honest, it’s one heck of a risk. Eric Eisen probably didn’t deserve the push he got when he first debuted. But since then, he’s really grown. He’s still not going to blow your mind in the ring, but he knows how to get people mad. It’s hard to find a heel that can still get people to regularly boo him, but Eric Eisen delivers.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/8hCQ0Xm.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/Wt0ivUq.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>Ryan Hernandez</strong>: I’m still not sure this isn’t one big work. Come on, like Eric Eisen is ever going to leave the SWF. He’s the heir to Rich Eisen’s throne. There’s always been some tension between Eric and Rich, and sure, we’ve heard from backstage sources that Eric has - in a moment of anger - told his father that he could be a star anywhere in the world, without Rich’s help. But come on. Is Eric really going to risk missing out on owning the company?</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/9u2gi3f.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/yGVjdQj.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: My sources tell me that Eric Eisen has had meetings with USPW and TCW top brass. If it’s a work, Eric’s going really far to sell it. Besides, it’s not like we haven’t recently seen a second-generation star leave what seemed to be a comfy spot for life in order to prove a point.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/lqRIdUF.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: Okay, yeah, but the Alicia Strong situation isn’t comparable to the Eisen situation. Alicia Strong’s father <em>did</em> own USPW, but Sam Strong retired when Packer bought the company. Rich Eisen <em>still</em> owns SWF. We never heard a peep about Alicia Strong leaving USPW while her dad was in charge.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: That’s true, but I think there’s more similarities than differences. You want to take this tangent?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: Sure, let’s take the tangent. What have you heard about why Strong left USPW?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: I’ve heard, well, different things from different people. One person was telling me Strong has been unhappy since her father sold the company, because USPW was pushing other talent instead of the women’s division being the Alicia Strong show. And there’s some evidence of that - Alicia Strong hadn’t held the women’s title for nearly a year before she left, and USPW made some splashy acquisitions with Sara Marie York and Joanne Rodriguez. Someone else told me Strong and USPW couldn’t come to agreement, and Strong’s basically calling USPW’s bluff and saying USPW needs her more than she needs them, and that she’s in a financial position to essentially pull a hold out until USPW agrees to what she wants.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: Yeah, but why AAA? USPW can fill a 30,000 seat venue, while AAA’s just starting to pull over 3,000. I mean, that’s like a CEO deciding to become a regional branch manager, in terms of a downgrade.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: I’ve heard different things here, too. One rumor is that Alicia Strong is going to follow in her father’s footsteps, and is thinking about buying AAA from Catherine Quine. Depending on how you look at that, if the rumor’s true, then Alicia Strong is either deciding she wants to be her own boss, <em>or</em> she’s essentially buying AAA to become a vanity promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/Opjjmbh.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: Well, there’s certainly precedent there, given Anne Stardust gave herself the AAA title no less than five times.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: Heh, yeah, I mean, AAA talks a lot about revolution and all that, and it was legitimately revolutionary, but I think there’s more truth to the claim that Anne Stardust opened it as a self-promoting vehicle than AAA's version of history would say.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: So, we’ll be hearing about Strong’s purchase any day now, is what you’re hearing?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: No, no, that’s just one rumor I’ve heard. Some people are claiming Strong is in AAA to show that she’s a legitimate, game-changing draw. If she can raise AAA’s profile while she’s there, then she’ll have major leverage in her eventual return to USPW. Some others are saying that Strong’s basically set for life, financially, and so it’s not like she <em>needs</em> the USPW money, and basically, this is a kind of “active retirement” where instead of being on TV twice a week, plus pay-per-views, she can show up once every two or four weeks and basically have fun.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RH</strong>: So basically, we don’t know. No one knows.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DS</strong>: Not until she tells us, no one really knows. And to be honest, and to end this tangent and get back to the main story at hand, no one really knows what’s going on with the Eric Eisen situation, much less why...</p><p> </p><p>

Lilith’s brood took home gold two weeks ago, and can put themselves closer to holding two AAA championships at Riot Grrls as Devil’s Daughter, the new Top Contender’s Champion, teams with the Psychobilly, Ellie May Walton. As if they weren’t enough, Lilith has promised to introduce a new “daughter”. Bobbie McGee and Wendy Anderson didn’t find individual success in the #1 Contender’s battle royale two weeks ago, but they have an opportunity here to earn their first tag team championship together. Who will move on and face the Delicate Flowers in the tag team championship semi-finals at Battle of the Babes?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The Uprising have held the tag team championships once before, and Talia Quinzel was beginning to make her mark as a solo contender, holding the Top Contender’s championship. But Quinzel’s run as Top Contender champion came to a sudden and unfortunate halt when she torn her quad during a match against the debuting Foxxy LaRue. The Uprising will be looking to regain some of the momentum they had before Quinzel’s injury. The exciting Electric Dreamer and the irrepressible Sarah Sparkles hope their first time teaming together is also the first step toward both of them winning their first AAA championship. With the Princess & the Punk waiting for the winner of this match in the semi-finals, both teams want a definitive victory.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jaime Quine won a shot at Steph Blake’s Femme Fatale championship by being the last woman standing in a battle royale two weeks ago at Liberation. Steph Blake launched an immediate sneak attack on the new #1 Contender, possibly hoping to ensure Quine can’t make it to their match at Battle of the Babes. General Manager Cat Jemson and Commissioner Persephone Coombs have decided to ensure the match happens as planned - and no sneak attacks are launched - by putting Blake and Quine in a six-woman tag team match. Both Blake and Quine have the opportunity to make a statement before their title match, but their teammates will no doubt be looking to add their names to the title picture by getting a win over either the champ or the #1 contender.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Tracey Brendon vs. Alicia Strong</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Two weeks ago at Liberation, Alicia Strong rocked the wrestling world when she became the newest AAA roster member. Strong promised that she would not rest on her fame, and that she would earn any opportunities she might receive by taking on any and all comers. For her first match in AAA, Alicia Strong takes on Tracey Brendon - and a victory is far from assured. Brendon is one half of an AAA Hall of Fame tag team, and her vicious Idaho Crunch powerslam has been more than enough to put down some of the best competitors AAA has to offer. A win over Alicia Strong would be one more feather in Brendon’s already decorated hat. Strong will need to bring every bit of skill and grit in this match, if she plans on living up to the hype.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Plus</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">, the return of Grace Harper’s interview segment, Amazing Grace!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Bonus Questions</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

1. One of the performers on this card does not compete, and is replaced by a substitute. For one point each:</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

*Who is the substitute?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

2. Lilith will introduce a new “Child” at Riot Grrls. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>hint: She’s already on the roster</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

3. A pure opinion question, point for playing along - Who is your favorite character in this diary, and what makes them your favorite? Any character is fine, including non-wrestlers or characters not currently on the AAA roster.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<p>Children of Lilith vs <b>Flower Power</b></p><p> </p><p>

Going back and forth on this. Normally I would say, use Flower Power to build up the monstrous heels even further, but setting up Flower Power vs Delicate Flowers in the semi seems more interesting than the heel vs heel Children of Lilith vs Delicate Flowers, two teams that I don't think has much tension between them? This is a bit against better judgement, but I think you are finding Flower Power quite useful, and a win for them could draw the fury of Lilith and her daughters, as if Flower Power need more enemies. </p><p> </p><p>

<b> The Uprising</b> vs Sparkle Dreamers</p><p> </p><p>

I see Sparkle Dreamers more as the future than the present. The way I see it there are two great tag teams in this tournament, and the Uprising is one of them. Now prove me wrong and have them knocked out in the first round... <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<b> Blake, Wade & Breaks</b> vs Quine, Croft & LaRue</p><p> </p><p>

I had it all figured out, how Blake would stand tall, suggesting how Jaime would later finally stand tall one on one...and then Alicia Strong has to show up and complicate matters. But I'll stick with it anyway. </p><p> </p><p>

Brendon vs <b>Strong</b></p><p> </p><p>

Yeah, go on. Have Alicia Strong lose in her debut. I dare you. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><ol style="list-style-type:decimal;"><li>I don't feel the pieces falling in place, so I'm probably going to be way wrong, but let's say <b>Foxxy LaRue </b> is replaced by <b> Danielle Sweetheart.</b><br /></li><li>New child of Lilith: <b>Elsa Calvo</b> perhaps?<br /></li><li>There is close competition, but I think <b>Cat Jemson</b> consistently entertains me the most. Her antics never fail to amuse.<br /></li></ol><p></p><p> </p><p>

Almost forgot the tie breaker. I figure it'll be a decent show. I'll go <strong>61</strong>.</p>

<p>Children of Lilith vs <strong>Flower Power</strong></p><p>

<em>I would normally side with the CoL here, but I don't think they need the win. Flower Power has gotten a little juice lately, and this could get them into a program. It's not like having Walton was main event bound anyway, so she can eat a pin.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Uprising</strong> vs Sparkle Dreamers</p><p>

<em>Talia is rock-solid, and Svelte is a top prospect. Sparkles and Dreamer have potential, but they're both still young, and I'm not convinced that they should be going over two women who are both ready to be pushed up a bit.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Blake, Wade & Breaks vs <strong>Quine, Croft & LaRue</strong></p><p>

<em>I could easily see this going the other way, but Quine is the tops, and Breaks seems to be inserted into the match to do the job. I could foresee this going in a way to put tension between Quine and Croft, however, if you wanted to put off Quine's title win for a while, especially with Strong now in the picture.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Brendon vs <strong>Strong</strong></p><p>

<em>Tracy who?</em></p><p> </p><p>

1. One of the performers on this card does not compete, and is replaced by a substitute. For one point each:</p><p>

*Who does not compete? <em>CoL frequently ambush people before matches, so let's say that Bobbie McGee gets sidelined</em></p><p>

*Who is the substitute? <em>I like Danielle Sweetheart for this. New debut who isn't on the card, the right level to be a potential tag team star, gives Wendy a more "serious" partner if you really wanted.</em></p><p> </p><p>

2. Lilith will introduce a new “Child” at Riot Grrls. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? (hint: She’s already on the roster)</p><p>

<em>Katherine Goodlooks has to do something at some point, right? Can she play heel?</em></p><p> </p><p>

3. A pure opinion question, point for playing along - Who is your favorite character in this diary, and what makes them your favorite? Any character is fine, including non-wrestlers or characters not currently on the AAA roster.</p><p>

<em>It should be no surprise that I love annoyingly smug obnoxious heels like Zoe Ammis. Wade's current run as the Queen of Mean is also really nice. On the face side, I really like Paige Croft as the Tiny Terminator.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

What is the final score for Riot Grrls? The previous show, Liberation, scored a 60.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>I think this one is just a step back, so I'll put it at 59. Alicia Strong in the main event, but I'm not convinced that Tracy Brendon is the strongest opponent for that slot in the main event.</em></p>

Sticking with the face/heel dynamics for the semi finals.</p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. One of the performers on this card does not compete, and is replaced by a substitute. For one point each: <strong>Paige doesn't compete and Nadia is the replacement</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2. Lilith will introduce a new “Child” at Riot Grrls. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? (hint: She’s already on the roster) <strong>I'm going with Elsa Calvo as well.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

3. A pure opinion question, point for playing along - Who is your favorite character in this diary, and what makes them your favorite? Any character is fine, including non-wrestlers or characters not currently on the AAA roster. <strong>I'm a sucker for Cat Jemson's routine too, she's probably the most sports entertainment type character (heel GM and has a gimmick of it's own to give the GM role a twist) and it's the kind of character where she plays off of everybody else in different ways.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>Children of Lilith (Devil’s Daughter & Ellie May Walton)</strong> w/ Lilith vs. Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee)</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Children of Lilith continue to get stronger, while Flower Power doesn't really need the win unless you are planning to push them. Plus, Psychobilly is the best gimmick Ellie May has ever had. </em><img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Uprising (Talia Quinzel & Selina Svelte)</strong> vs. Sparkle Dreamers (Sarah Sparkles & Electric Dreamer)</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Talia's light-years ahead of either opponent, and I think you want to rebuild her back to where she was before her injury.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Steph Blake, Demelza Wade, & Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Jaime Quine, Paige Croft, & Foxxy LaRue</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Man, Ariel being in this feels like a big sign that Steph's team will lose, but if you can replace one of the face team members with someone weaker, maybe the heels take it? But as is, I have to take Jaime's team.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tracey Brendon vs. <strong>Alicia Strong</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>It would be a major swerve to have Alicia lose here. Tracey is perfect opponent for Strong, and I can see Brendon putting up a good fight instead of Alicia just dominating.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. One of the performers on this card does not compete, and is replaced by a substitute. For one point each: </p><p> </p><p>

I'll say <strong>Foxxy gets taken out</strong>, and <strong>Amber Allen takes her place</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

2. Lilith will introduce a new “Child” at Riot Grrls. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? (hint: She’s already on the roster) </p><p> </p><p>

Yeah, hard not to pick <strong>Elsa Calvo</strong> here if it's someone on the roster. At least you won't need a new render. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

3. A pure opinion question, point for playing along - Who is your favorite character in this diary, and what makes them your favorite? Any character is fine, including non-wrestlers or characters not currently on the AAA roster. </p><p> </p><p>

Steph Blake is still on top for me. You've really taken someone who could have been a throw away for you (and was kind of an accidental champion) and made her one of the most memorable characters I've read on here. I know one day her reign will come to an end, but she'll still hold her head up high. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

What is the final score for Riot Grrls? The previous show, Liberation, scored a 60. Eh, thinking this actually comes down a bit, so I'll go <strong>58</strong>.</p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/VJqkQW6.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Good evening everyone, and welcome to Riot Grrls!” says Jim Lou Freebush as the feed begins. “We’re here with 3,105 Angels who are ready and rocking for a big night of Angel Athletic Association action!”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/kEkUwNO.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“That’s right, Jim,” says Cat Quine. “You know, growing up in the 1990s, the Seattle <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riot_grrrl" rel="external nofollow">riot grrl</a> scene was nothing less than revolutionary. During those years when those women were creating a subculture that continues to have reverberations to this very day, the Angel Athletic Association grew up right beside them. I’d like to think we’re cultural cousins. And that the energy of that scene, that fierceness, that unwillingness to just take what you’ve been given and ask for everything you deserve - I’d like to think that’s who we are not just then, but now.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/zUsPh6M.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Oh, please, nerd,” says Grace Harper. “Like you ever went out to any of the shows. I’m trying to remember clearly - and forgive me if those heady days are a <em>little bit</em> blurry - whether you actually ever went out with us badass ladies, or if you were too busy doing...I don’t know, whatever it was you nerds did back in the 1990s. I wouldn’t know. Oh, and speaking of nerds, and how apples don’t fall far from trees, we’re about to see Jaime Quine sign a contract for the honor of losing to the Queen of AAA, Steph Blake.”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Riot Grrls</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The show begins with AAA Commissioner Persephone Coombs and AAA General Manager Cat Jemson in the ring. Coombs is about to speak, but Jemson cuts her off before she can say a single word. “Ladies and gentlemen - or whatever you people in Yakima are - welcome to Riot Grrls! We’ve got a huge three-on-three tag match tonight, and you should all consider yourselves </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>blessed</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> that the Queen of AAA, our Femme Fatale champion, Steph Blake, will be competing in that match!” The crowd shares their predictably negative feelings about Blake, resulting in Jemson downright pouting.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“On behalf of the athletes of AAA, I want to thank all of you for coming out tonight,” says Commissioner Coombs, to a much better reaction. “We have two matches in our Tag Team championship tournament, the three-on-three tag match my...colleague…mentioned as well. But tonight’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment for you fans, because here in Yakima, Alicia Strong makes her AAA in-ring debut!” The crowd pops huge for the mention of Strong, the mention of their hometown, and in recognition that they’re present for history being made. “First, however, we have a little business to take care of. You’ll notice the table set up behind us? The binder on the table? Tonight, we will sign the contract confirming the Femme Fatale title match between Jaime Quine and Steph Blake, which will take place in two weeks, at Battle of the Babes!” Another pop. “So let me first introduce the challenger. She won a ten-woman battle royale two weeks ago at </div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow">Liberation</a></div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. She’s a former tag team champion, a former three-time Top Contender champion. Good people of Yakima, I present the challenger for the most prestigious title in women’s wrestling - Jaime Quine!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

She shakes Coombs’ hand, and offers to shake Cat Jemson, but Jemson makes a big show of “not seeing” Jaime’s offer. Jaime shrugs and pulls her hand back. Instead, Jemson raises her mic. “And now, it’s time for you ‘Twin Peaks’ rejects to get on your knees and pay homage to your queen. I present the one, the only, the unstoppable - Steph Blake!” The crowd heartily boos as

</div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/xc1lu-WU3hI?start=64&feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Macho Man Randy Savage WWE Theme"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> begins playing. Steph Blake comes out from behind the curtain, the Femme Fatale belt around her waist, not even trying to hide her utter disdain. Jemson holds the ropes as Blake steps into the ring. As she undoes the belt from around her waist, Commissioner Coombs steps forward to take the belt from her. Blake immediately snatches the title back, rage in her eyes. Blake composes herself, and then hands the Femme Fatale title off to Cat Jemson, who places the belt on the center of the table.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jaime and Blake take their seats at either end of the table. Commissioner Coombs places the contract and a pen in front of Jaime. Jaime does not hesitate to sign the contract. Coombs then places the contract and pen in front of Blake, who does not sign with the same gusto. She picks up the pen, slowly, then goes to sign the paper...and then stops before pen meets paper. She lifts the pen up, to resounding boos. Blake gives the crowd the stink-eye, but signs the contract. Blake keeps eye contact with Jaime the entire time, with an expression usually reserved for peeling something unappealing off the sole of one’s shoe. Then Blake slowly lifts the pen, before flipping it right at Jaime. The pen smacks Jaime right in the mouth. Jaime immediately gets to her feet, offering Steph an opportunity to get into things right here, right now. Blake simply smirks, then picks up her belt. Slinging it over her shoulder, Blake is escorted from the ring by Cat Jemson, who ensures there’s plenty of room between the champion and the challenger. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 74)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

“Really classy move by the Queen of Mean, Steph Blake,” says Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p>

“First off, anything Steph Blake does is classy, so we just saw the classiest pen flip in AAA history, if not in world history,” retorts Harper. “And secondly, Jaime deserved it. Don’t glare at me, Quine. Her having the same last name as you doesn’t make her equal to our Queen. No one is Steph Blake’s equal!”</p><p> </p><p>

“That will be a huge match in two weeks at Battle of the Babes for the most prestigious women’s title in the Americas, the AAA Femme Fatale championship,” says Freebush. “But moving on to tonight’s card, we have been promised by the Dark Mother Lilith that she has another ‘child’ to introduce to us all.” The lights in the arena go out. “And judging by the darkness that has enveloped us, I think Lilith’s about to do just that.”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Riot Grrls</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/sB96FgI.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/fVVoDMS.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The arena goes dark, except for a single blue spotlight focused on the curtain. Ellie May Walton emerges first, followed by a figure in a dark, hooded robe. Behind this mysterious figure is Lilith, in the same dark robe, hood down. The three head to the ring in a procession. In the ring, the hooded figure stands in the center of the ring, shadows obscuring their face. Walton stands guard on the side of the ring closest to the curtain. Lilith places her hand on the hooded figure’s shoulder, a maternal gesture in opposition to the cruelty in her face.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“As the Dark Mother promises, the Dark Mother provides,” Lilith says. “I told you that you Children of Eve would soon meet another of my daughters. Tonight, you meet her. I present to you the newest Child of Lilith to leave the world of men and take her rightful place in the world of monsters. My child, show your face before those assembled.” The hooded figure follows Lilith’s command. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/GM8hqrJ.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As the hood is drawn back, the face of Elsa Calvo appears. “Yes. The Children of Lilith can be found throughout the world. Our reach is so much greater than you fear. We are </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>everywhere</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. And tonight, we are here. My daughters stand ready, eager to pluck the pretty petals off their opponents.” </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 46)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #000000;"></p><p>

The Children of Lilith (Ellie May Walton & Elsa Calvo) vs. Flower Power (Bobbie McGee & Wendy Anderson)</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Though she’s trying her best not to show it, Bobbie McGee is obviously hurting from a nasty fall from the top turnbuckle to the floor during the #1 Contender’s Battle Royale at </div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow">Liberation</a></div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Lilith has a nasty grin as the bell rings. Unsurprisingly, Wendy Anderson starts the match off against Lilith’s newest “child”, Elsa Calvo. Calvo’s training may have been in Mexico, but Calvo quickly proves she’s no luchadora as she charges in with a bruising, brawling style. Anderson’s the high flyer in this one, with a speed, agility, and experience advantage on Calvo. Neither woman seems able to get an upper hand on each other. After taking a hip toss from Anderson, Calvo tags in Lilith’s powerhouse, Ellie May Walton.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Walton may be big, but she’s not as slow as she looks - a lesson that Wendy Anderson learns very quickly when she’s caught out of the air during a cross-body, which Walton transitions into a fallaway slam. Of course, Walton’s reputation as a lumbering competitor comes from the fact that she rarely </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>has</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> to move quickly. Her power ensures her opponents aren’t able to run away, letting Walton toy with them, like a cat tormenting a crippled mouse. Or perhaps Leatherface would be a better comparison. In any event, Walton clearly enjoys tossing Anderson like a rag doll, and her grin doesn’t subside when Anderson tags the injured McGee out of pure desperation.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

McGee is clearly hesitant to get in the ring, but with Anderson in no shape to continue, she steps through the ropes anyway. Walton spreads her arms open wide, basically telling McGee she gets a free shot. Again, McGee hesitates, but again McGee steps in and lands a chop on Walton. Walton doesn’t flinch. Instead, she grabs McGee by the throat and backs her into the corner, where Walton lands a chop that echoes throughout the ballroom.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/dmZuyG1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

McGee goes limp in the corner...but her attention is taken away as she sees Golden Delicious pull Calvo off the apron and into the guardrail. GD climbs onto the apron, drawing the attention - and the ire - of Walton. Walton stalks over to the ropes, and looks to be trying to separate GD’s head from her shoulders as she swings - and misses - with a giant haymaker. Walton’s off balance...which gives McGee an opening to take Walton over with a schoolgirl pin. Walton manages to get her bearings, but a moment too late, as Bobbie McGee gets a very unexpected three-count. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Flower Power defeated Children of Lilith in 7:02 when Bobbie McGee defeated Ellie May Walton by pinfall after a distraction from Golden Delicious. Rating - 30)</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Bobbie McGee immediately rolls out of the ring, where she’s joined by her partner, Wendy Anderson, and Golden Delicious. With Lilith cursing them (possibly literally), and Walton bashing her own head into the top turnbuckle in anger, the three women make their way toward the curtain - never turning their backs on Lilith and her children. Right before the head through the curtain, Golden Delicious stands between the two members of Flower Power and raises their arms in victory as

</div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/WXV_QjenbDw?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Janis Joplin - Me & Bobby McGee"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> plays on. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 26)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

“That was a robbery!” declares Harper, utterly aghast. “Nothing less than highway robbery! Where’s that no-good-for-nothing Commissioner Coombs when you need her? Golden Delicious should be suspended! Probably for her own safety, because I wouldn’t want to be Golden Delicious when Lilith and her kids catch up to her.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Be that as it may,” says Freebush, “Flower Power got the victory in this opening round match. We’ll see a botanical battle of a semi-final match-up in two weeks, as Flower Power takes on the Delicate Flowers at Battle of the Babes.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Battle of the Babes is shaping up to be a fantastic card,” says Cat Quine. “I’m told Amber Allen has something she wants to say about Battle of the Babes, and she’s in the ring right now.”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

Amber Allen stands in the center of the ring. She looks down for a moment, takes a deep breath, and then begins talking. “If you’re going to call yourself ‘The Ultimate Competitor’, that means you have to take responsibility not just for your wins, but for your losses, too. One month ago, at </div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow">Heatwave</a></div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">, I told Laura Flame that I could beat her in ten minutes or less. Two weeks ago, at </div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow">Liberation</a></div><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2234928&postcount=230" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">, I beat Laura Flame...in ten minutes, and one second. Most people might say, what difference does one second make? They might say, look, it’s obvious that you would have beaten her, you made your point, move on.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Allen acknowledges some “yes”es from the crowd. “But I’m not most people. I am Amber Allen. And when I call my shot, I better deliver. I didn’t. I own that. And I own that Laura Flame stopped me from doing what I said I would do. That’s a rare thing, Laura. I offer you my congratulations. And I offer you a challenge. You might have stopped me from doing what I said I would do, Laura, but you didn’t win. You survived. And even then, just barely. You’ve earned my attention and my respect. Now I want to see if you can beat me. No time limits. No count outs. No disqualifications. Two women enter, but only one can truly win. You want to prove to people you can do more than just survive me? I’m giving you a chance.” Allen stands, waiting, arms folded. The crowd gets restless as Flame does not respond. Finally,

</div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/AMJvU4dVukE?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Franz Ferdinand This Fire"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> starts playing, and Laura Flame comes out from behind the curtain, microphone in hand.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/A4UQJDM.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Listen, Amber,” she says with a sneer. “I don’t have to prove anything to you. I don’t have to prove anything to these mouthbreathers in the audience. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I don’t need your attention, and I don’t give a damn about your respect. What I want is what I deserve - to keep moving up that card, to get title shots, to get big money matches, to wear gold around my waist, to be in the main event of this company. No, to </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>be</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> the main event of this company! And you are standing in my way. So you want to fight me? Good. It’s on. “What a sore loser,” says Harper. “Amber Allen couldn’t get it done two weeks ago, and it’s as simple as that.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Nothing is ever as simple as you make it out to be, Grace,” says Cat Quine. “What is simple, though, is that Battle of the Babes is even more stacked. We’ll have our quarterfinal tag team tournament matches, the Femme Fatale championship match between Jaime and Steph Blake, and now we’ve got a confirmed rematch between the Ultimate Competitor, Amber Allen, and the raging inferno that is Laura Flame. The card at Battle of the Babes is getting stacked!”</p><p> </p><p>

“I don’t mean to interrupt,” says Freebush, “But I’m getting word our roving backstage camera caught a conversation in the back that they think we should see. Let’s see what they captured.”</p><p> </p><p>

Paige Croft is taping Jaime Quine’s hands, while Foxxy LaRue shadowboxes nearby. A door opens off-camera, and all three turn to face whoever’s coming into the locker room. The camera pulls back, showing Nadia Snow has entered the locker room. “What do you want, Nadia?” asks Croft, brusquely.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/AWOWtpe.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Snow nods her head. “Look. I know you don’t have any reason to trust me.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Yep, we already got that, thanks Nadia,” says LaRue, going back to shadowboxing.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Snow chuckles. “Fair enough. Listen, it’s not that I particularly like - or dislike - any of you. But you know who I do dislike?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Let me guess. Demelza Wade?” snarks Croft.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Two points for the half-pint,” Snow snarks right back, getting a begrudging grin from Croft. “Demelza is awfully buddy-buddy with Steph Blake recently. The friend of my enemy is my enemy, so I don’t have a whole lot of warm fuzzies for Steph. And the enemies of my enemy are…” Snow surveys the other women. “Well, they’re not my friends, exactly. But they are my allies.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“We appreciate the offer,” says Jaime Quine. “And it’s not like any of us are naive enough to believe that Blake, Wade, or Breaks care much about playing by the rules.” Quine extends her hand to Snow. “A fourth set of eyes wouldn’t hurt.” Snow smiles, and shakes Quine’s hand. Quine gently puts her hand over Snow’s wrist, keeping Snow holding her hand. “Don’t interfere in the match, Nadia. We want to win this one clean. If they get outside help or start taking serious liberties, then you can interfere. Otherwise, eyes only. Deal?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Snow thinks for a moment, then sighs. “All right, fine. Deal.” Quine lets Snow go. Snow looks at all three women. “I’ll be watching from behind the curtain. Anything funny starts happening, though? I’m getting involved.” Snow leaves the frame. The door to the locker room closes behind her. The three teammates wait for a moment before talking again.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You think we oughtta believe her?” asks Foxxy.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Yeah,” says Quine. “I think we should. At least until she gives us a reason not to.” </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 66)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

“For once, I don’t blame Jaime, Paige, or Foxxy,” says Harper. “Nadia Snow turned her back on her long-time tag team partner. I wouldn’t trust her either.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Grace, Nadia Snow saved Katherine Goodlooks from a <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2216969&postcount=142" rel="external nofollow">wholly unprovoked attempted maiming</a> by Demelza Wade,” retorts Cat. “She’s done a lot of things that she’s going to have to make up for in some way, but I think the best first step was her realizing the A-List were nothing more than a couple of bullies.”</p><p> </p><p>

“From former tag teams to present tag teams we go,” says Freebush, “As we have our second tag team tournament match of the evening. “And it doesn’t matter,” states Quinzel. “There is no team that wants it more than we do. And there is nothing that we will are unwilling to do, as long as we become the next AAA Tag Team champions.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“We are the Uprising. We are tomorrow’s tag team legends, today,” boasts Svelte.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“We </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>will</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> rise,” warns Quinzel. “And there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop us.” </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 41)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">AAA Tag Team Tournament Opening Round Match</span></strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>

</strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/dcnOexP.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/3vdoMpU.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> vs. </strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/cCSn7Mv.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/XHh6STq.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>

The Uprising (Talia Quinzel & Selina Svelte) vs. Sparkle Dreamers (Sarah Sparkles & Electric Dreamer)</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As the match gets underway, Quinzel’s height advantage compared to the other three competitors is plain to see. However, the initial match-up is Sarah Sparkles against Selina Svelte. The long-term future of AAA is on display as Selina’s mat prowess tries to contain Sparkles’ irrepressible energy. Sparkles puts on a good showing, wiggling out of an early attempt to lock in the Prawn Armlock. Sparkles tags in Electric Dreamer, who may be just as irrepressible as her partner. Dreamer’s high-flying, high-energy style is able to get Svelte on her heels. Svelte makes the tactical decision to not try to slow down Dreamer after being worn down trying to contain Sparkles, and makes the tag to Talia Quinzel.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quinzel steps through the ropes, and the tone of the match changes. With Talia’s reach advantage, Dreamer is unable to duck and weave away from Quinzel the way she can with other wrestlers. Talia’s able to grind Dreamer’s momentum to a full stop. Dreamer tries to use her agility to break up Quinzel’s dominance, running up the turnbuckles and trying to roll over Quinzel, hoping to get a pin. Instead, the added elevation puts Dreamer in a position where it’s that much easier for Quinzel to set up the gorilla press set-up for Spinal Trauma. Quinzel drops to one knee, slamming the small of Dreamer’s back across the point of that knee. Sparkles makes an attempt to break up the resulting pin, but Svelte’s already in the ring to block her path. Quinzel gets the three-count, and after the force of that backbreaker, she might have been able to get a thirty-count (The Uprising defeated Sparkle Dreamers in 8:22 when Talia Quinzel defeated Electric Dreamer by pinfall with a Spinal Trauma. Rating - 42).</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“With that victory, The Uprising move on to the second round, where they’ll be taking on The Princess & the Punk,” says Freebush.</p><p> </p><p>

“That should be an exciting match up,” says Cat Quine. “Two young and hungry teams, lots of energy, and that need to win. I’m looking forward to it.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Someone check the temperature in Hell, because I agree with you Cat,” says Harper. “The Uprising is the future of the tag team division in AAA. When we are recapping their story 10 years from now, we’ll be seeing a lot of highlights from this tournament.”</p><p> </p><p>

“We’ve got another tag team match-up for you folks,” says Freebush. “No titles on the line here, but there is plenty of animosity. And given I’m hearing ‘Pomp & Circumstance’, our first team is making their way to the ring.”</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at Riot Grrls</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steph Blake, the Femme Fatale belt slung over her shoulder, takes in the crowd’s booing with a smirk. Demelza Wade doesn’t seem fazed at all. Ariel Breaks tries to pretend like it’s not shaking her at all, but it’s clear she’s never had over 3,000 people this invested in letting their displeasure be known. Blake raises a microphone. “Are you peons quite finished?” The resulting uproar suggests no, they are not. When they settle down again, Blake begins to speak.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Two weeks ago, this company held a ‘battle royale’ to determine a new #1 contender to our throne. As if there is anyone who could be considered a contender to the Queen of AAA. In truth, they should have called it a match to determine the #1 </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>pretender</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Because it is nothing but pretend, utter fantasy, for any woman in AAA to believe she is on our level! The woman to our left,” Blake says, pointing to Wade in a sweeping motion, “she is a rare exception. You Americans do not have royalty. Instead, you have celebrities, ruling over their media empires. And there is no greater American celebrity in AAA than Demelza Wade, the A-Lister, a woman whose glamour, strength, and style can be seen in her regal bearing.” Wade makes a little bow toward Blake, who graciously turns over the microphone.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“It doesn’t matter if it’s the United States, the UK, Canada - anywhere in the world, I am the biggest celebrity in all of women’s wrestling,” Wade says to ringing boos. “But you know, even us celebrities have flaws,” Wade surprisingly says, “no, it’s true. Even a celebrity like me has flaws. For a long time, I felt like I was putting on more weight than I would like. So, I decided to do a cleanse - which I would recommend to you inbreds - and the results were amazing. I dropped about 120 pounds of useless weight called Nadia Snow and I feel better than ever!” The crowd looks on the verge of tossing garbage, as Snow hands the mic back to Blake.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Our dear Lady Wade, we suppose it is true what they say - sometimes less really is more,” Blake says with a laugh. “And there is no doubt that AAA would be so much more without the likes of Jaime Quine, Foxxy LaRue, or Paige Croft. But like gum that sticks to the bottom of our shoes, no matter how much we try to remove their noxious presence they manage to stick around, to our great annoyance. So, poppets, come on out and take your drubbings. Make sure you save the video, so you can show your grandchildren the glorious moment in time in which you were humiliated by the Queen of Women’s Wrestling, Steph Blake!” </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 68)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

Steph Blake, Demelza Wade, & Ariel Breaks vs. Jaime Quine, Paige Croft, & Foxxy LaRue</strong></div><strong></strong></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The much more experienced Demelza Wade and Steph Blake basically order the rookie Ariel Breaks to start the match. Breaks turns to the other corner and appears to be less than thrilled to see that Paige Croft is starting this match against her. The nerves are well-founded, as Croft puts on a clinic of grinding holds against Breaks. Finally making some space between her and the Tiny Terminator, Breaks crawls on her hands as fast as she can to make a tag to the veteran tag wrestler Wade.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Wade is better matched to Croft, and after having spent the first few minutes alone, Croft tags in her occasional partner Jaime Quine. The crowd begins chanting “</div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ75b6WNV_o" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ75b6WNV_o" rel="external nofollow">superkick par-tay! Superkick par-tay!</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ75b6WNV_o" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">”, and though there’s an attempt by both Wade and Quine to hit their respective superkicks, the K.O. Kick and the SuperStar Kick, both know the move more than well enough to dodge. Dodging Quine’s kick, Wade tags in Blake - and the brawl is </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>on</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There’s nothing pretty or scientific as Quine and Blake go at each other with fire in their bellies. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Blake gets the upper hand following an eye rake, expertly done while Quine’s in a headlock and not facing the referee. Blake begins slowing down the match, appearing to work hard on Quine’s neck to set up one of her famed Slingshot DDTs. The crowd cheers, trying to rally Quine, who fights up to her feet. Hitting a desperation back suplex, Quine crawls towards her corner while a momentarily dazed Blake does the same. Foxxy LaRue is literally jumping on the apron, arm outstretched for the tag, and with one last gasp of effort Quine makes the tag as Wade tags Ariel Breaks in again.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Foxxy comes into the ring like a house on fire. One of the premier brawlers in AAA, Foxxy hits two resounding running clotheslines on Breaks before Wade decides to illegally hop into the ring and attack Foxxy from behind. Foxxy absorbs the shots before answering with a flurry of stiff punches, battering Wade into the corner. Foxxy turns around, possibly looking to get a running start for a corner splash...and learns that you should never take your eyes off the legal wrestler, even if she’s a rookie. Breaks comes off the top rope and hits a </div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B1qTev00XQ" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B1qTev00XQ" rel="external nofollow">diving neckbreaker dubbed “The Breakerfall”</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B1qTev00XQ" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Scurrying to make the pin, Breaks gets one, two, two and 9/10ths as LaRue kicks out of the devastating aerial (or “Ariel”, says Harper) maneuver. Blake asks to be tagged back in, now that Breaks has done the dirty work, and Breaks does - though Breaks looks like she really, really wanted to try for another pinfall.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Blake goes for a succession of pins, Foxxy kicking out of each one a little sooner. Finally, Foxxy reverses a pinfall attempt into a roll-up of her own, gaining a solid 2 count as well as the ire of the Queen of Mean. Foxxy’s brawling gets her back into the match, enough to tag Quine back in. Blake immediately wants nothing to do with Quine, ordering Wade and Breaks to invade the ring to triple-team the #1 Contender. Foxxy’s still feeling the effects of the previous beatdown, so only Croft comes in for her team as an all-out brawl erupts in the ring. Quine tosses Wade out of the ring, while Croft spear tackles Breaks, rolling both of them out of the ring. Referee Dwight Kumas can barely contain the chaos, and chooses to break up Croft and Breaks. Wade immediately uses the opportunity to grab a chair, level a still-stunned LaRue, and then slide the chair into the ring as Blake rakes Quine’s eyes again.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It’s not much of a gap, but it’s enough to let Blake slip to the apron and land a </div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipOxV3HZLqo" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipOxV3HZLqo" rel="external nofollow">Slingshot DDT</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipOxV3HZLqo" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"> on Quine - driving the crown of Quine’s head into the chair. Wade immediately pulls the dented chair out of the ring right as Kumas turns around. Seeing Blake pinning Quine, Kumas drops to his knees immediately and makes the 3-count over the roaring dissent of the crowd. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Steph Blake, Demelza Wade and Ariel Breaks defeated Jaime Quine, Foxxy LaRue and Paige Croft in 19:59 when Steph Blake defeated Jaime Quine by pinfall after using a foreign object. As the timekeeper continues to ring the bell Blake and Wade continue the assault on Jaime Quine, intending to do as much harm to Quine as possible before the title match two weeks from now. Croft lets go of Breaks, but Blake and Wade see her coming. Blake takes Croft down with a drop toe hold, and Wade comes in with a chair. Quine rolls out of the ring, trying to protect herself, while Wade hits chairshot after chairshot across Croft’s back.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Finally, to the cheers of the crowd, Nadia Snow comes running out from behind the curtain at a full sprint. When she slides into the ring, she’s got enough momentum to get near the center of the ring. Having accomplished their mission to damage Quine and her potential allies, Wade and Blake leave the ring with wide smiles, a dazed Breaks trailing behind them. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 55)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

“Seeing how you being honest is a special treat, sure thing Cat. How <em>do</em> you honestly feel?” goads Harper.</p><p> </p><p>

“I hope Jaime kicks Steph Blake’s ass,” says Cat Quine, with enough cold fury to convince Harper to drop that line of inquiry.</p><p> </p><p>

“<strong>Ahem</strong>, well,” says Freebush, obviously trying to break up what looks like an imminent aggravated assault, “Jaime Quine gets her chance to do just that to Steph Blake in two weeks at Battle of the Babes, and perhaps more importantly, Jaime gets a chance at becoming Femme Fatale champion. But right now, I think I speak for my broadcast partners and all the Angels here live and watching us out on the web, when I say I am beyond hyped for this next match. Here’s something I never, in a million years, ever expected to say - it’s time for the AAA debut of the Scion of the Squared Circle, Ms. Alicia Strong!”</p><p> </p><p>

So when Strong steps out from behind the curtain, the roar is utterly deafening. The 3,000-plus strong crowd makes enough noise to redline the recording equipment, enough noise to be heard out on the street. Strong looks legitimately taken aback by her reception, and then gets an ear-to-ear smile. The crowd begins pointing and chanting “Strong! Strong! Strong!” and Alicia raises one finger in the air - her father’s signature pose - before heading to the ring. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Segment rating - 87)</em></div></div><p> </p><p>

The crowd is loud enough at the beginning of the match that the ring announcer is almost unable to be heard. Despite the crowd’s heat, Strong and Brendon wrestle a solid, fundamentally sound match - no high spots, but a great knack for knowing what to do and exactly when to do it. Strong gets some offense in early, but Brendon grabs some momentum after a blatant hair pull. Brendon gets Strong up for the

With a second wind, Strong begins to make a comeback. Brendon tries just about everything she can to stop Strong, but Brendon may as well be trying to stop an oncoming train. After a scoop slam, delivered with authority, Strong lifts her finger to the air. The crowd cheers, knowing what’s coming. If Brendon realizes it, it doesn’t do her any good. “Well, folks, if you didn’t believe it, now you’ve seen it. Mark it down in the record books - tonight, September 16th, 2016, in Yakima, Washington, Alicia Strong won her first AAA match,” says Cat Quine. “I have to imagine it’s just the first of many.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Sheesh, Quine, she’s won one match,” grumbles Harper. “Anybody can win <em>a</em> match. But if you want to prove you’re as good as your name makes people think you are, you got to win a whole lot more matches than that.”</p><p> </p><p>

“It’s been a heck of night here in Yakima, folks,” says Freebush. “Two weeks from now, we hope you’ll join us as we come to the Meydenbauer Center in Bellvue, Washington, for Battle of the Babes. As for tonight, on behalf of my Hall of Fame broadcast partners Cat Quine and Grace Harpter, this is Jim Lou Freebush, thanking you for joining us for Riot Grrls. Have a great night!” </p><p> </p><p>

WooHoo, the King has returned, to his throne.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Team Blake's victory in the Six-man Tag Match. I liked the little touches you gave it. The Team Blake's pre-match promo, Ariel Breaks being nervous and not talking (a nod to her bad promo skills and rookie status) and the show of villainous respect between Blake and Wade, and the fact that Jamie Quine has once again left Paige Croft in the lurch.

<p>Holy crap, spent the better part of my night reading this, you make seemingly every single sentence you write have meaning to it, your ability to portray seemingly any character is amazing</p><p> </p><p>

my heart felt like it broke in half with the cherry bomb departure, and Zoe had become my favorite character, AND SHE LEFT TOO. NOTBPW - The True villains here.</p><p> </p><p>

Alicia Strong buying AAA could plausibly make sense with the barely making a profit interlude I guess, very intrigued by that possibility.</p>

Flower Power vs. The Delicate Flowers

These two teams have met before, but this time, there’s the wrinkle of who advances to the finals of our single-elimination tournament to crown AAA’s Tag Team champs. Flower Power, the high-flying combo of veteran Wendy Anderson and rookie Bobbie McGee, are new to the AAA tag scene. After picking up what some are considering an upset win over the Children of Lilith two weeks ago at Riot Grrls, Flower Power hopes to surprise the world again by toppling The Delicate Flowers, Kate Lilly and Debbie Rose. However, that’s going to be a tall task as The Delicate Flowers are four-time AAA Tag Team Champions and have literal years of experience working together. Only one team can advance to the finals, so one way or another, a botanical beatdown is guaranteed.

The Princess & the Punk vs. The Uprising

A battle between two teams that are the future of tag teams in AAA erupts in the second of our two semi-final matches at Battle of the Babes. Christy Higgins and Simony Sentinel - respectively, the Princess and the Punk - are a classic case of two individuals coming together to create a total package team. Higgins is a classic mat warrior, a grinder who can put you down on the mat and never let you back up. Sentinel is a high-energy mosh pit veteran who may be more comfortable in the air than on two feet. Combined together, you have a team that can beat you in so many ways. However, The Uprising is built in a way that might neutralize Sentinel and Higgins. Talia Quinzel’s six feet of fury, with a reach advantage that can negate a high flyer’s agility and the strength to keep them grounded. Selina Svelte is a submission specialist who is begging for the match to be kept on the mat. Both of these teams are the future of the AAA tag ranks, so expect some fireworks as both teams look to make the future right now.

Laura Flame vs. Amber Allen

One month ago, Amber Allen took on Laura Flame in a ten-minute time-limit match. Allen got the three count...in ten minutes and one second, making the match a draw. Allen was clearly, and understandably, aggrieved by how close the result was, and challenged Flame to a match without time limits, to establish which of the two was truly the ultimate competitor. Flame, for her part, accepted the challenge. Flame couldn’t care any less about the pride on the line. What Flame cares about is the main event - for the money, the fame, the opportunities that come with the top slot. Both women come into this one with something to prove, and without a time limit, both will be looking to prove for their own reasons who the ultimate competitor in AAA really is.

Jaime Quine (challenger) vs. Steph Blake (champion)

Steph Blake emerged as a top-tier AAA competitor in March of this year as she defeated AAA legends Sara Marie York and Joanne Rodriguez in loser-leaves-town matches, picking up the richest prize in women’s wresling - the Femme Fatale title belt - along the way. Any whispers that Blake was a “transitional” champion have been dispelled over the past six months as Blake has turned back challenger after challenger, by any and all means necessary. Jaime Quine, in the meanwhile, was embroiled in a six-month feud with the powerhouse veteran Cherry Bomb, and after coming within a hair’s breadth of victory on two occasions, finally defeated her nemesis at Women of Wrestling - and confirmed the victory was not a fluke two weeks later, at Fireworks Factory. Jaime’s proven she can win the big match, but Steph Blake has proven the same - and proven that she’ll do whatever it takes to do so. Will the Queen of Mean be usurped? Or will the sun finally set on Steph Blake’s empire?

First, let me get this out of my system:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gGY1J9XTXuw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

All right, now that that’s done…

I apologize for the long, LONG delay between posts. There were reasons, I assure you, and I’d prefer not to get into them. But I do plan on being far more timely with posts again. You’ll notice I’ve gone straight to a prediction card, skipping a story interlude and the story stuff that usually comes before a prediction card. That’s on purpose, so we can get the momentum of the diary moving forward again. I’ll return to the more regular format - story interlude, interlude + prediction card, actual show - following Battle of the Babes. Of course, feel free to comment on the card, or on whatever, really. There have been some very kind words said about the diary and I want to thank everyone who’s taken the time and effort to read through these. They’re fun to do, but I admit they’re more fun when I know there’s someone else besides me getting some enjoyment out of them too.
