AAA: The Revolution is Now

Recommended Posts

<p>First of all, great show. Jaime Quinn's been good, and Cherry Bomb's been a goddess. And I didn't predict it, but I'm over the moon about Zoe Ammis getting the belt, since she's rapidly become my favorite character. And the second favorite is Steph Blake, so power trip away!</p><p> </p><p>

But it's not all positives. I've been in contact with the officials at the Center for Responsible Predictions and they assure me that I scored over 19 million points and a comfortable victory, so the fact you have my score listed much lower is disconcerting. I suggest you correct your method in future to remove such blatant bias against me. Thank you.</p>

Finally read this the entire way through after months of dropping in and reading an entry here and there. Really great work work, kingjames. Reminds me a lot of the first few years of Shimmer where the really strong, clear angles and through-lines in every match was a big part of the appeal.

<p>Fireworks Factory Prediction Card; plus, The Higher You Climb, the Further the Fall</p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Headquarters</strong></p><p><strong> Tacoma, Washington</strong></p><p><strong> July 3, 2016</strong></p><p> </p><p> It was over. It was finally over.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/kEkUwNO.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Back in her office - it was <em>her</em> office now, not Anne Stardust’s - Cat Quine read some of the reviews for Women of Wrestling 20. In the end, what mattered is the number of paying butts in seats and the volume of merch sold. And the people who did wrestling show reviews? Most of them had never done anything athletic in their lives, much less step foot in a professional wrestling ring, so how seriously could you take their opinions anyway? Even still, when the reviews were as glowing as they were for Women of Wrestling 20, it still felt <em>very</em> good.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Bow Down to the Queens</em> were AAA marks, and were almost unfailingly positive, so their positive review wasn’t a surprise. What was a surprise was seeing in (electronic) print, “Women of Wrestling 20 - Greatest North American Women’s Wrestling Show Ever?” as a headline. TEW.com, the biggest independent wrestling news outlet, was even better. It said:</p><p> </p><p> “When Cat Quine, long-time second-in-command to Anne Stardust, fully took the reins in January, we said we’d have to wait and see whether AAA was held together by Stardust’s sheer willpower. We also said we’d have to wait and see if, without her, AAA would collapse. We’ve waited, we’ve seen, and from our viewpoint, AAA might be better than ever. Women of Wrestling was, in 1996, a radical notion. Women of Wrestling 20 paid homage to just how revolutionary the belief that there was an audience for women’s wrestling really was only twenty years ago. But Women of Wrestling 20 was also a showcase of just how far things have come, and the possibility that this is only the beginning. After all, that there were even enough women to fill a card was enough to earn Stardust and AAA kudos in 1996. In 2016, our expectations are higher - and the women of AAA managed to exceed them. Women of Wrestling 20 is proof that, at least in the early going, AAA wasn’t just ‘The Anne Stardust Show’, as detractors have claimed. Cat Quine’s put her mark on AAA, and we’re excited to see where she steers the promotion as it sails nto the uncharted waters of expansion.” Cat couldn’t help but grin like an idiot. <em>I did it, Anne. I was afraid I was going to fall flat on my face. But I didn’t. And I did it without you hovering over me.</em> Of course, Cat immediately thought, she definitely didn’t do it alone. What on earth would she do without Sherrie?</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/Dw8k489.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> USPW thought Cherry Bomb had fizzled out. How a company could be so damned rich when it made such obviously poor decisions remained a complete mystery. Sherrie Guthrie could do it all. She cut intense promos, with a palpable rage. And then she got backstage, and she was <strong>the</strong> locker room leader. She was “Mom” to many of the young wrestlers. She worked as the road agent for this company, helping people to lay out their matches. Even long-timers like Suzanne Brazzle checked in with her, bounced ideas off of her, and inevitably, the match would be better off for it. A little touch here, a little detail there, an indelible moment the audience would take home with them.</p><p> </p><p> The buzz coming off the show was better than any high Cat could imagine. It was less than 24 hours after the show, and she’d already drawn up booking for the next show. Cat decided it was time to stop with the generic show names for the second show of each month. Next show was a week from now, so Fourth of July would already be over, but Cat thought calling the next show “Fireworks Factory” wasn’t too late to be relevant. The poster concept, with the exploding fireworks photoshopped to look like AAA performers, was really clever. Those investments in production values were paying off, at least aesthetically. As good as Women of Wrestling was as a show, even though AAA sold more tickets than it ever had before, AAA barely made enough money to cover the costs of the show. <em>Oh well</em>, thought Cat. <em>Maybe it wasn’t much profit, but we still turned a profit.</em></p><p> </p><p> Someone knocked at the door, and then let herself in before Cat could invite her in. Of course, given it was Cherry, Cat wouldn’t expect anything less. “Sherrie, I’m glad you’re here. First, I want to thank you for putting Jaime over clean last night. That was, and I’m not blowing smoke here, the best match I think AAA has ever put on. Second thing, I’ve got some booking ideas, and I was hoping we could…” Cat trailed off. There was something off about Sherrie. Even considering the war of a match she’d been in last night, she seemed...deflated. When she should be elated. “Sherrie...is everything all right? Is something wrong?”</p><p> </p><p> Cherry hesitated, which was unusual. Cat began to feel a pit forming in her stomach. Cherry finally gave a half-smile, then said, “I...well. Maybe you can grab that scotch you keep under the desk. North of the Border’s decided they want to poach AAA talent.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>AAA presents Fireworks Factory</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> July 9, 2016</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Harrah’s Casino</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Kansas City, MO</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Pre-Show</span></strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Ariel Breaks vs. Sarah Sparkles</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A battle between two of AAA’s most promising rookies. Sarah Taylor may have been pushed around by Steph Blake and Zoe Ammis, but she hasn’t let that get her down. If anything, it’s only pushed her to be more herself...and apparently, the stuff that Sarah Taylor’s made of is glitter. Lots of glitter. She’s calling herself “Sarah Sparkles” now, and could there be a more appropriate name for one of AAA’s most positive performers? On the other hand, Ariel Breaks already has a name befitting her personality, and she’ll be more than happy to break Sarah in as many ways as possible. Both women have had good showings against much more experienced talent - in Kansas City, we’ll see who’s managed to learn the most from the school of hard knocks!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Main Card</span></strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>AAA Top Contender’s Title Rematch</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Foxxy LaRue vs. Zoe Ammis (champion)</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Foxxy LaRue won the Top Contender’s title the very first night she appeared in AAA, and until Women of Wrestling, she held onto that title. At WoW, Zoe Ammis stole a victory with a handful of tights. Foxxy LaRue has immediately requested a rematch, and she looks to take the belt right back from the Hateful Harlequin. Of course, if Zoe Ammis has anything to do say about it, it’s not going to be as easy as all that - and we already know Zoe Ammis will do anything and everything to keep her ill-gotten gains.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Laura Flame vs. Geena the Warrior Princess</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Laura Flame came up short against the Miracle Blonde, Suzanne Brazzle, in a vicious dog collar match at Women of Wrestling. Whether her body’s full recovered from that beating or not, Flame takes on European women’s wrestling sensation Geena the Warrior Princess. Geena crossed paths on more than one occasion with AAA’s globetrotting Steffi Chee, and brings experience learned from the best around the globe. Will Laura Flame defeat this veteran challenge, or will Geena be the second vet to teach Flame some respect the hard way.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Devil’s Daughter vs. Katherine Goodlooks</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Devil’s Daughter scored a convincing victory over Golden Delicious at Women of Wrestling. Since she aligned herself with Lilith, the Mother of Monsters, Devil’s Daughter has been dominant. Katherine Goodlooks hasn’t had as much recent success, but her sunny attitude may be just what is needed to slow the endless night Lilith and DD want to plunge AAA into. Can the light defeat the darkness, or will Lilith and her child take down another Angel?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Golden Delicious vs. Tracey Brendon</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Tracey Brendon has been low-key since taking a loss to Suzanne Brazzle in an I Quit match a few months ago. A decisive victory at Women of Wrestling might have put Tracey on the main event radar again. Meanwhile, Golden Delicious could not overcome the combined force of darkness that is Devil’s Daughter and Lilith. Both women are looking to step out of the pack, and a victory in this match could be the key to greater things. Who will move up in the world, and who will be left behind, when the fireworks are all said and done.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Women of Wrestling Rematch</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Jaime Quine vs. Cherry Bomb</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Finally - after six months of chasing, six months of near-falls, six months of blindsided beatdowns, and six months of venom - Jaime Quine dug deep into her arsenal and used the Cat’s Cradle to put Cherry Bomb down for a three count. It was the first singles defeat Cherry Bomb had in 2016, who had looked all but undefeatable. That said, the cage match between Cherry and Jaime was absolutely brutal, and both women to each other to their very limits. Cherry was looking to set up the Cherry Bomb when Jaime caught her by surprise with the Cat’s Cradle - meaning, the difference between victory and defeat was as slim as possible. Cherry Bomb raged after the match, and she has demanded a rematch with Jaime, calling Jaime’s victory “a fluke”. Jaime Quine was more than happy to accept the challenge. Their match at WoW got the wrestling world buzzing - so you won’t want to miss this one!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Also, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Lilith</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> has promised to introduce another one of her “children” at Fireworks Factory. AAA presents Fireworks Factory

Pre-Show

Ariel Breaks vs. Sarah Sparkles - I'm only familiar with Taylor/Sparkles from being a jobber in your diaries. Can't see that changing here.

Main Card

AAA Top Contender’s Title Rematch

Foxxy LaRue vs. Zoe Ammis (champion) - It's surely too soon for Ammis to lose. As has probably been mentioned before I'm not overly enamoured with Foxxy's shtick anyway.

Laura Flame vs. Geena the Warrior Princess - I feel like this is the sort of match that exists to help get Flame over. Veteran with some kind of name value comes in and gets beat.

Devil’s Daughter vs. Katherine Goodlooks - Another victim on the altar of DD's push.

Golden Delicious vs. Tracey Brendon - Operation: Rebuild Brendon begins.

Women of Wrestling Rematch

Jaime Quine vs. Cherry Bomb - Setting us up for a rubber match to settle things once and for all in the aftermath?

Also, Lilith has promised to introduce another one of her “children” at Fireworks Factory. In addition, Steph Blake, following her victory at Women of Wrestling, has scheduled a “coronation ceremony” to be held at Fireworks Factory. No one’s quite sure what the Queen of Mean has in mind, but whatever it is, expect it to be nothing less than grandiose!

Bonus Questions

1. AAA loses talent to NOTBPW and their exclusive, written contracts after Fireworks Factory. Who will AAA lose after this event? - The use of the expression talent leads me to believe we're talking plural. I'm gonna go with Paige Croft (because why wouldn't we lose my favourite) and Steph Blake (whose coronation turns out to be wholly different from what we expected as she "ascends to the throne of the big time and NOTBPW".

2. AAA adds someone to the roster who was let go by USPW. Who will join AAA at Fireworks Factory? - Lauren Easter?

3. Lilith adds another member to her brood at Fireworks Factory. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? - Total shot in the dark here but... Selina Svelte?

4. One of these scheduled matches does not happen. Which match does not happen? (Just in case you’re wrong, I suggest you offer predictions for all matches!) - DD/Goodlooks? I'm calling a beatdown by DD and her new stablemate before the bell.

Tiebreaker:

What will be the attendance for Fireworks Factory? The attendance at the last AAA Midwest region show was 914. - 962

<p>AAA presents Fireworks Factory</p><p> </p><p>

Pre-Show</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ariel Breaks</strong> vs. Sarah Sparkles - A name change suggests a fresh start, which is just about the only argument I can think of for a Sparkles win, but I can't quite convince myself of it.</p><p> </p><p>

Main Card</p><p> </p><p>

AAA Top Contender’s Title Rematch</p><p>

Foxxy LaRue vs. <strong>Zoe Ammis</strong> (champion) - Lie, cheat steal, whatever it takes, Zoe is not dropping that belt.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Laura Flame </strong>vs. Geena the Warrior Princess - I know it's rude, but Geena looks like a stepping stone. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Devil’s Daughter </strong>vs. Katherine Goodlooks - I really like how DD is being built up. </p><p> </p><p>

Golden Delicious vs. <strong>Tracey Brendon</strong> - I can't put my chips on someone who calls herself Golden Delicious. I'm sorry. </p><p> </p><p>

Women of Wrestling Rematch</p><p>

Jaime Quine vs. <strong>Cherry Bomb</strong> - I *was* going to say, no need to go back and forth. Put an exclamation mark behind Jaime's name and move on. But IF Jaime is signed to NOTBPW (which happened in my game, by the way), it's a waste giving more momentum to someone not sticking around.</p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. AAA loses talent to NOTBPW and their exclusive, written contracts after Fireworks Factory. Who will AAA lose after this event? - Oh no. Not again. What would hurt the most? I'll say <strong>Steph Blake</strong> and <strong>Jaime Quine.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2. AAA adds someone to the roster who was let go by USPW. Who will join AAA at Fireworks Factory? - I'll go with <strong>Killer Kass.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

3. Lilith adds another member to her brood at Fireworks Factory. Who is the newest Child of Lilith? - I'll go with <strong>Elsa Calvo.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

4. One of these scheduled matches does not happen. Which match does not happen? (Just in case you’re wrong, I suggest you offer predictions for all matches!) - <strong>The Top Contender's Title Rematch</strong>. Ammis puts a stop to it before the bell rings.</p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker:</p><p> </p><p>

What will be the attendance for Fireworks Factory? The attendance at the last AAA Midwest region show was 914. - <strong>936</strong></p>

<p>As others have said, what...a...show! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Really enjoyed the retrospective at the beginning. That kind of lore-building are where you shine.</p><p> </p><p>

It took me awhile to get to it, but it was well worth the wait. Of course, here comes NOTBPW to ruin everything. I imagine they'd have to go after your established people, so I'm thinking it's going to hurt.</p><p> </p><p>

On to the picks!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ariel Breaks</strong></p><p>

<em>Whoa, is Sarah finally going to get a win. I wouldn't be surprised, but Ariel is also really good, and is almost a perfect fit for the AAA product.</em></p><p>

<strong>Foxxy LaRue</strong></p><p>

<em>I think Zoe is one of the ones getting poached, so Foxxy gets her title back.</em></p><p>

<strong>Laura Flame</strong></p><p>

<em>Perfect use of Geena, who should be nearing retirement. Laura's going to have a big year I think.</em></p><p>

<strong>Devil's Daughter</strong></p><p>

<em>Not confident in this pick at all. DD is riding high, but a loss to Goodlooks would set up a nice feud. Still, I'll stick with DD if the match actually happens.</em></p><p>

<strong>Tracy Brendon</strong></p><p>

<em>Tracy is another wrestler building up some nice momentum, so it's interesting where she goes from here considering two spots are opening up. A feud with Foxxy would be good for both women I think.</em></p><p>

<strong>Cherry Bomb</strong></p><p>

<em>Hmmm, I don't think this match happens again unless Jaime is the one leaving. While I would like to see something like Cat Quine costing her (step)sister the match, you are doing great right now, so no need to rock the boat like that.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions.</p><p>

1. USPW and NOTBPW like to do their raids in two's, so I'll say <strong>Jaime Quine and Zoe Ammis</strong>. Victoria really does like to go for the jugular. (I was going to say Amber Allen, but she likely just got released).</p><p>

2. Man, Killer Kass is a possibility, but bringing in <strong>Alicia Strong</strong> would set up an instant feud with Steph Blake that would be hot fire. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

3. Wanted to say Jessica Bunny, but then remembered she got released. I'll go with my heart and say <strong>Emma Bitch</strong>, though a back-from-the-dead Talia would be pretty cool (not sure if she's healthy yet).</p><p>

4. Ah, now there's the trick. I'll say <strong>DD vs Goodlooks</strong>, since that's a way to start a feud without costing either woman anything.</p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker: A nice even <strong>950</strong>?</p>

We may be in a casino, but there’s no sure bet like the Angel Athletic Association in terms of bringing you the very best women wrestling on this side of the world,” booms Jim Lou Freebush. “We are here with 962 in attendance, and this crowd is hyped up! I’m Jim Lou Freebush, and joining me on commentary, as always, is AAA Hall of Famer, Cat Quine. Cat, tonight’s show is called Fireworks Factory, and with the card we’ve got tonight, I think this show is going to live up to its name.”</p><p> </p><p> “I have every reason to believe so, Jim,” says Cat Quine. “Women of Wrestling 20 was a great show, and the praise for our competitors has been pouring in. Tonight we’ve got two rematches from Women of Wrestling, including a Top Contender’s title match.” The song “ </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/aj3bkqhUQM0?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="David Bowie - Fashion"></iframe></div></div>” interrupts Cat Quine, who rolls her eyes. “But instead of getting right to the action, it looks like our <em>esteemed</em> general manager, Cat Jemson, has some things to say.”<p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Fireworks Factory</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/2grrL5B.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> As the music fades, the boos continue. “Believe me, I feel the same way about being in this oversized cow town,” says Cat, getting some cheap heat. “But let’s talk about something, unlike this dump of a town, that’s </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>actually</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> important. Women of Wrestling 20 was, by all accounts, the greatest show AAA ever put on. And like I said then, that’s because of </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>moi</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Under my steady hand and watchful eye, AAA is finally becoming the toast of the wrestling world. Which means, and I hope you’re listening, Board of Directors, you obstructionist bureaucrats - that the way I do business is the right way of doing business! So, with that point completely clear, let’s talk about the Cat Jemson Era of AAA. First things first. Later tonight, after Zoe Ammis has beaten Foxxy LaRue, we’ll be having a coronation ceremony. The woman who has led AAA to never-before-known heights, Steph Blake, will be officially recognized as the Queen she is, while Zoe Ammis will be the new Princess of AAA. Secondly - “</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="</div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S176AKQhcCk" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S176AKQhcCk" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/S176AKQhcCk"</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S176AKQhcCk" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The crowd murmurs, as this music has never been heard before. Cat Jemson looks absolutely puzzled, and more than a little miffed that someone would have the gall to interrupt her. Finally, a face familiar to anyone who watches USPW regularly emerges from behind the curtain. The crowd pops at a national television star appearing at an AAA show.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/uBl8pJY.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Oh! That’s Persephone Coombs!” exclaims Cat Quine.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “You’re right, but what’s she doing here?” asks Freebush.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “I don’t know, Jim. Women of Wrestling got a lot of buzz. It seems AAA has turned some heads in the wrestling world,” Cat ventures. “Whatever the case, I have a feeling we’re about to find out!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Persephone acknowledges the crowd, bright smile beaming on her face, as she gets into the ring. Cat Jemson continues to fume. Persephone continues to wave and interact with the crowd, until Jemson can’t take it any more. “Cut the music! Cut that music right now!” she shouts, and music dies down. The crowd continues to voice its excitement at Persephone appearing, unannounced, at the show. “Okay, okay, I get it! I know who you are, we all know who you are, Ms. Big Shot TV Star! You’ve had your moment, I’m sure these idiots are going to post pictures to social media, talking about how it’s the best day of their sad, pathetic little lives. Great, we’ve all had a moment. But </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>you don’t work here.</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. This is </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>my</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> ring, this is </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>my</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> company, and I am giving you five seconds to get out of here before I have security forcibly remove you!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Persephone asks for a mic, and gets one. “Cat, I thought you might say something like that. So, that’s why I brought this with me.” Persephone opens the handbag she brought with her, and pulls some folded papers out. “Here. Go ahead, it won’t bite! Read it yourself.” Cat Jemson looks like she’s been sucking on a lemon, but takes the paper, handling it like it might spontaneously combust. She begins to read it out loud.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “‘Ms. Coombs, we, the AAA Board of Directors, have become concerned about the conduct of our general manager, Ms. Cat Jemson. After some deliberation, we have decided, in light of the binding contract signed with Ms. Jemson, we cannot remove her from her position without protracted legal battles.’ Oh, they’re right about that! ‘However, given Ms. Jemson’s actions, the Board of Directors wishes to ensure the competitors of the Angel Athletic Association that they will be treated fairly and not be subject to the capricious whims of a power-mad dictator.’ Who’re they calling a dictator? Hmpf! ‘As such, should you accept the enclosed contractual offer, we are offering you a contract to to serve as the commissioner of the Angel Athletic Association’?” The crowd cheers, and Cat looks up, utterly dumbfounded. She continues to read. “‘In this role, you will serve as the Board of Directors’ on-site observer, and will have the authority to overrule biased decisions made by Ms. Jemson, based upon the by-laws governing our organization’?!?!?” The crowd cheers even louder, and Cat looks up, at a complete loss for words.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “So, Cat, I’m here because we’re co-workers now,” says Persephone with a smile. “So, this is not </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>your</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> ring, this is </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>our</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> ring. It’s not </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>your</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> company, it’s </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>our</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> company. And the days where you let Steph Blake have two-on-one ‘title defenses’ and send overmatched rookies against Blake and her court jester, Zoe Ammis, in sham #1 Contender’s matches? Those days are over. And so, in my first act as commissioner, I am adding a stipulation to tonight’s Top Contender title match - if Zoe Ammis receives </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>any</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> outside assistance, or wins the match as the result of a rule violation, she will be immediately stripped of the Top Contender title!” The crowd cheers for someone finally stepping in to curb Jemson’s excesses. Persephone’s music hits, as Cat Jemson looks utterly deflated. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle ratings - 53, 67, 64</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “Oh, my prayers have been answered!” says Cat Quine. “Cat Jemson has been making a mockery of the rules, tilting the board toward Steph Blake and Zoe Ammis, from the minute she became general manager. I hoped the Board of Directors would step in - especially after Cat Jemson spat in their faces at Lass Frontier II and gave Zoe Ammis an overmatched Joanna Silver in a so-called #1 Contender’s match. Cat Jemson just learned a valuable lesson - that pride comes before the fall!”</p><p> </p><p> “Our new commissioner, Persephone Coombs, has made an immediate impact,” says Freebush. “And that impact is going to be felt right now, as the Top Contender’s rematch from Women of Wrestling, pitting former champion Foxxy LaRue against the new champion, Zoe Ammis, gets under way - right now!”</p><p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>On the way to the ring at AAA Fireworks Factory</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/gVkOI5G.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Kansas City! What’s up? Y’all know who it is! It’s Foxxy, baby!” The crowd cheers as Foxxy’s music hits. Foxxy emerges, holding a microphone as usual. “You know something? Foxxy took a long, hard look at herself after Women of Wrestling. And I realized, maybe I haven’t been takin’ things seriously enough. Maybe I’ve been talkin’ too much, instead of letting my fists do the talkin’. So, it’s time for a little less conversation, a little more action, y’all know what I’m sayin’? Zoe Ammis? Come on out here and come get you some, ‘cause Foxxy wants her belt back, baby!” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 49</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #000000;"></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">AAA Top Contender’s Championship Match</span></strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> </strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/ETEkY6f.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> </strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/gVkOI5G.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> vs. </strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/RkMOrtI.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Foxxy LaRue vs. Zoe Ammis (champion)</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Zoe Ammis seems more subdued than usual as she comes to the ring. No skipping, though she does jaw at a few fans along the way. Instead of her usual over-confident obnoxiousness, she looks concerned. Clearly, the new commissioner’s words have hit their mark. As the bell rings, Foxxy LaRue is all business. Her brawling may be the best of anyone in AAA who’s not named “Cherry Bomb”, and with Zoe seemingly off her usual game tonight, it’s all Foxxy early in this contest. Ammis, for all her juvenile behavior, is actually a very technical in-ring competitor, and can be surprisingly patient. Ammis plays possum when Foxxy tries for a baseball slide into the corner, and seizes the opportunity by rolling out of the way, letting Foxxy connect with the ring post.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ammis immediately zeroes in on Foxxy’s legs, dropping elbows and hard kicks. But Foxxy fights her way back up, until Ammis gives Foxxy a poke to the eyes, causing Foxxy to spin around. Ammis rolls her up in a schoolgirl pin, with a handful of tights - exactly how she beat Foxxy at Women of Wrestling. Referee Dwight Kumas counts two and is halfway down for three when Ammis suddenly lets go of the pin, raising her hands in broad gestures and stepping back. It appears Ammis remembered what Commissioner Coombs said, just in the nick of time. Foxxy gets up to her feet, and Zoe’s attempted running shoulder tackle is reversed into a bone-crunching spinebuster from Foxxy. Ammis sits up for a moment, and for only a moment, because Foxxy connects with a Flash Head Kick (</div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJbyZ5JkhT8" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJbyZ5JkhT8" rel="external nofollow">Sick Kick</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJbyZ5JkhT8" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;">) after getting a full head of steam. The count is one-two-three, and Foxxy LaRue regains the title that was stolen from her at Women of Wrestling. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> Foxxy LaRue defeated Zoe Ammis in 12:30 by pinfall with a Flash Head Kick. Foxxy LaRue wins the AAA Top Contender's title. Foxxy rolls out of the ring and high fives fans in the front row as she makes her way back behind the curtain. Zoe Ammis stirs in the ring. Once the cobwebs clear, she starts kicking the bottom rope, yelling, “No! No! No!” like a child who’s been told to put away their toys when they don’t want to go to bed.</p><p> </p><p> “Jim, it looks like Commissioner Coombs has changed the game here in AAA,” says Cat Quine. “Zoe Ammis would have stolen another win here, if the commish hadn’t made clear that she’d strip Zoe’s title if she cheated to win.”</p><p> </p><p> “Indeed, Cat,” says Freebush, “what looked like another cheap Ammis victory turned out to be payback for Women of Wrestling. Trust me, it’ll be time well spent.”</p><p> </p><p> A video plays with edited highlights from Women of Wrestling 20, with voice-over narration from Cat Quine and Jim Lou Freebush (<em>Angle rating - 53</em>). Following that segment, the show returns to live footage. “What a show, Cat, and I’m proud to have been a small part of it,” says Freebush. “I’m getting word that our AAA Femme Fatale champion, Steph Blake, and the newly dethroned Zoe Ammis, met our new commissioner during the recap. Blake says, “Be gone, peasant,” and the crew member is more than happy to escape the Queen of Mean’s gaze. Zoe Ammis, for perhaps the first time in six months, looks very unhappy. Persephone folds her arms across her chest, but waits to see what Blake has to say. “We understand you fancy yourself the new ‘sheriff in town’, Coombs,” says Blake, the commissioner’s name sounding like a curse the way Blake says it. “What you fail to understand is that we are the Queen of AAA. So long as I hold this belt,” Blake says, holding it in Persephone face, “we are the apex of AAA. We are the end boss. Speaking of belts, your interference has caused my dear friend and comrade, Zoe Ammis, to lose her belt under completely unfair circumstances.” Persephone cocks an eyebrow, but allows Blake to continue. “Were it not for your capricious stipulations, my friend Zoe would still be champion. She would have it on display during our long-overdue coronation ceremony. But you, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Coombs</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> have sullied our otherwise perfect ceremony. You ruined everything!” pouts Ammis.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Persephone makes sure Blake and Ammis are done before she starts talking. “Hi, I’m Persephone Coombs, it’s nice to meet you, too,” she says sunnily. “And I don’t think I’m the new ‘sheriff in town’ or anything like that. I’m here to ensure things run fairly. Though I will say, a big part of the reason I’m here is because of you two. The Board’s been watching your matches, Steph, and they’re not happy with the shortcuts you’ve been taking. They think it tarnishes the prestige of the belt, and so they asked me to come here and make sure AAA fans get to see contests decided on a fair basis. What I don’t get, Steph, is why you’ve chosen to defend the title the way you have. You beat Sara Marie York </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>and</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Joanne Rodriguez without underhanded tactics. They talked about what a great competitor you were when they got to Atlanta. You’re better than the way you’ve been, Steph. I know you are.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Steph Blake looks like the words hit home...for a second or two. Then, a baleful fire lights in her eyes. “How. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Dare</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. You. You presume you have the right to tell us who we are? We are whatever we say we are, and we are </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>the Queen</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Enjoy your fancy title, but always remember, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>we</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> are the absolute monarch of this organization, and we bow to </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>no one</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.” Blake walks away, managing to be both regal and petty in the same moment. Persephone watches her go with a rueful smile on her face. Then Zoe Ammis gets in Persephone’s face - right in her face, no more than an inch away.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “You wanna know somethin’?” Ammis asks. There’s a pause of several seconds, as Persephone realizes that Ammis did not intend it as a rhetorical question. She’s about to answer when Ammis interrupts. “I really, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>really</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">, don’t like you.” Ammis leaves in the same direction as Blake went, while Persephone watches her, and then gives a little shrug before going off herself. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 64</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “You know, I feel like if Zoe Ammis doesn’t like someone, that probably means that person is someone I like very much,” muses Cat.</p><p> </p><p> “It would seem that the ‘coronation’ that Steph Blake was talking about is still on, however,” notes Jim. “Speaking on things that are still on, we’ve got a match coming up now between Laura Flame and European sensation Geena the Warrior Princess. Cat, what do we know about Geena?”</p><p> </p><p> “Geena’s a long-time player,” says Cat. “Her career path has been, in many ways, similar to our very own Steffi Chee. Geena’s an American, and her career started here, but it wasn’t until she had spent some time in Europe that she actually blossomed. She brings a lot of experience to the ring, and Laura Flame can’t underestimate Geena the way she underestimated Suzanne Brazzle, unless Flame wants things to end tonight the same way they did at Women of Wrestling.”</p><p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #000000;"></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/M0fr3tU.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> vs. </strong></div><span>http://i.imgur.com/A4UQJDM.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Geena the Warrior Princess vs. Laura Flame</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> It’s been some time since Geena’s had anything like a regular in-ring schedule, and the rust definitely shows. Flame, for all her talent, is in her first year of non-local indie shows. With Flame not yet knowing how to guide an opponent, and Geena not having experience doing things the “AAA way”, the two women don’t click at all in the ring. The match has a notably odd pacing and rhythm, notably detracting from the match quality. That said, the match does what it’s supposed to do. Geena gets some token offense in, but Flame is in control the entire match. The </div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/KZsJrB9-tBA?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Uriah Hall wheel kick knockout"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> puts an exclamation point on things, and the three-count on Geena is mostly academic. When the crew shuts the music down, Flame issues a challenge. “I hope everyone behind that curtain is listening right now. What happened at Women of Wrestling wasn’t wrestling. I got beat because of a chain. If it had been just one-on-one, I would have won. What just happened here tonight? That’s what would have happened if it had been a straight-up match. And if any one of you wants to prove me wrong, you come find me at our next show, so you can find out for yourself - you mess with the Flame, you get burnt.” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 38</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “Well, I guess if Flame learned anything from her defeat, it wasn’t humility,” comments Cat Quine.</p><p> </p><p> “Flame’s been very outspoken since joining our roster, and she’s had quite an impact,” segues Freebush. “Speaking of impacts, at our next show, a new roster member has the opportunity to make a great first impression. And I’m willing to work as hard as it takes until I am.” Shots of Allen hitting the heavy bag. “Limits will do one of two things - either you break them, or they break you. And I will not be broken.” Shots of Allen sparring on an Olympic-style mat. Allen, using traditional Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, handles her training partner with ease. “I’m coming to AAA because I want to be the greatest female wrestler in the world. You can’t be the best, unless you compete against the best. Will I win every single competition I am involved in? They say that’s an unrealistic expectation. I’m going to try anyway.” A return to the slow motion shot of Allen jumping rope, and then a close up, on just her eyes. “My name is Amber Allen. I am the ultimate competitor. And I will prove it to you, next month, at Girls Night Out.” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 33</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “A lot of confidence from Amber Allen, but a whole lot of dedication, too,” says Freebush.</p><p> </p><p> “And the history to back it up,” says Cat. “Amber Allen’s been one of the rising stars in our sport in her native Canada, a tremendous amount of buzz. She’s trained with the best, and I have every reason to believe that in AAA, she will become one of the best. Very excited for her debut.”</p><p> </p><p> “And I’m excited for our next match, Cat,” says Freebush. “Katherine Goodlooks takes on Devil’s Daughter in a clash of light and dark. Lilith is cackling in delight, as the crowd boos the assault. Lilith orders Walton to roll Goodlooks into the ring, and Walton complies immediately. Lilith ascends the ring stairs while Walton and DD roll in. Lilith tells Walton to physically restrain Goodlooks, who hangs limp as a rag doll as Lilith crows in triumph.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “It’s true, that you should always listen to your Mother,” Lilith says, with a nasty sneer. “I promised you another child would throw off her chains, and embrace the darkness outside of Eden. And what is promised, is what happens. You children of Eve are like moths. You gather together in cities, and keep your lights on so bright at night that you cannot even see the stars. And why? Because down deep, children of Eve, you remember. You remember the terror of your long-ago ancestors, stalked by beasts that preyed upon them in the night. Everything humanity has created, has been to drive the monsters away. You harnessed fire, to drive back the night. You created tools and weapons, to fight back. Everything you have created, the foundation was built upon fear.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “My daughter, my sweet Ellie May, she did not live in your cities.” Ellie May Walton smiles, almost like a dog who hears its master call its name. “She lived away from your cowering. At night, the darkness enveloped her, and she embraced it. And now, she has found her Mother. Now, she becomes the predator in the night she was intended to be. And like your ancestors, cowering in the dark, you are all her prey.” Lilith turns to Ellie May. “Do it.” Ellie smiles, a toothy, sick grin. She lifts Goodlooks like she weighs nothing, and running from one turnbuckle to another, unleashes a devastating Oklahoma Stampede on Goodlooks, who looks like she’s been pancaked when all’s said and done. Lilith applauds the brutality. “Psychobilly Freakout” plays again, as Lilith and her children leave a broken Goodlooks in the ring. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle ratings - 36, 60</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “This is not good,” says Freebush.</p><p> </p><p> “Jim, I love you, but your talent for understatement is something to behold,” says Cat Quine. “Ellie May Walton is freakishly powerful. She’s always been a nasty customer, but now that she has Lilith guiding and directing her...I think the havoc the Psycho Hillbilly has wreaked upon AAA up to this point is going to pale in comparison to what’s she’s going to do now that she’s joined up with that Lilith.”</p><p> </p><p> “Another woman who has left a trail of havoc behind her is Cherry Bomb, who we’re being told is coming to the ring, right now!”</p><p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Fireworks Factory</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/Dw8k489.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Cherry Bomb comes to the ring, in an obviously bad mood. “Jaime Quine, you got the win at Women of Wrestling. It happened. You hit a move I wasn’t expecting, hadn’t prepared for, and you got the three. But that was my mistake, to have not scouted that. So as far as I’m concerned, Jaime, you didn’t win the match. I lost the match. Which is why I immediately requested another match with you. Because lightning doesn’t strike twice. If I beat you tonight, then Women of Wrestling was a fluke. If you win tonight...then you really are better than me. And I promise you this, Jaime - if I cannot beat you tonight, then I’m done with AAA. There’s not room for two women at the top, Jaime. You beat me, I’m done. But let me make something clear, Jaime - I don’t got my bags packed. I’m not going anywhere.” (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 63</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “A titanic announcement from Cherry Bomb!” exclaims Freebush.</p><p> </p><p> “Certainly not what I was expecting to hear,” says Cat. “But thinking about it, I suppose it makes sense. Cherry Bomb doesn’t just want to be a competitor. She doesn’t want to be one of the best, she wants to be <em>the</em> best. Say what you will about her attitude, about her complete disdain for her opponents - Cherry Bomb has always, from the very start of her career, pursued nothing less than perfection.”</p><p> </p><p> “We’ve got a match coming up with another member of our roster whose personality may be suspect, but whose skills are unquestioned. She does a little wave, pretending as if she doesn’t hear the booing. Blake is followed by Cat Jemson, who holds a crown, and a sour-looking Zoe Ammis. The three get into the ring as the music fades. “Ladies and gentlemen! What you are here to witness today is only the acknowledgement of what has been true for quite some time,” announces Jemson. “Tonight, we crown the woman who has proven herself to be the pinnacle of the Angel Athletic Association, who once again proved her dominance at Women of Wrestling. Tonight, we crown the Queen!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Boos from the crowd, but Blake merely has a beatific smile. “General Manager Jemson, we thank you for your kind words,” Blake says. “Tonight, we want to thank the person most responsible for our ascension, the woman who has done so much to ensure each and every one of you understands that you are in the presence of greatness.” Zoe Ammis starts grinning. “This woman believed in us when everyone else was too blind, or prideful to see our greatness.” Zoe mouths “aw, shucks.” Blake continues, saying “Without this woman, we very well might not have this belt around our waist. Tonight, we wish to acknowledge the most important person to our reign,” and Ammis is beaming. “Ms. Jemson, we couldn’t have done it without you.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Jemson smiles, making a little bow in Blake’s direction. Ammis looks utterly crestfallen. “We are here today, in front of all of you, our lessers, to take possession of a physical symbol of our greatness. A crown of gold, a reflection of the gold around our waist. Because, in the end, she who holds the gold, makes the rules.” Ammis’ hands are on her hips, clearly annoyed by Blake’s comments, since Ammis just lost her belt earlier tonight. “Correction - we do not merely make the rules, we </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>rule</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. We rule this entirely company! There is not a woman in this company who is our equal! We are, in every sense of the word, untouchable!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> And it at this moment that the Queen of Mean, Steph Blake, gets devastated by a nasty-looking </div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5Rjl66l3LI" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5Rjl66l3LI" rel="external nofollow">Double Cross backstabber</a></div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5Rjl66l3LI" rel="external nofollow"></a><div style="margin-left:25px;"> by Zoe Ammis.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Cat Jemson’s eyes grow wide as saucers, and the crowd doesn’t seem to know how to react to this turn of events. Ammis picks up the mic. “That felt really good,” she says. The crowd starts to cheer a little. Ammis cuts them off. “Oh shut up, you stupid idiots. I didn’t do it for you.” That seems to stop the slight cheering for Ammis. She turns to Jemson, who is still in shock. “So, Ms. General Manager. Ms. Big Shot. You told us months ago that you were the last word in AAA. That the AAA Board of Directors were a bunch of buffoons, that they didn’t have any power, and that this place was going to be our playground. But turns out, you were full of it! And now, we have that dork Persephone as our commissioner. The first thing she did was screw me out of my title. I wanted to be a princess!” Ammis stomps her feet. “And that jerkface Persephone took it away from me. Well, fine! I can see what’s going to happen around here, and I’m done! Finito! I’m taking my toys and I’m going home, all the way back to Canada, because it’s just not going to be any fun with the world’s biggest party pooper of a commissioner around here!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ammis gets a big smile on her face, a flash of wolf’s teeth. She moves in toward Jemson, who starts backing up, putting her arms up in self-defense. Jemson gets backed into the corner, and Ammis winds up for a punch. Jemson flinches, closing her eyes and letting out a pathetic little scream. Ammis starts laughing hysterically. Jemson opens one eye, not sure she’s out of danger. Ammis stops laughing abruptly, and Jemson cowers a little more. Ammis lifts the mic up to her face. “But you know something, kitty-witty? If I’m going home, I’mma take this with me.” Ammis snatches the crown out of Jemson’s hands. “Because I’ll be damned if I don’t get to be a princess.” Ammis hops out of the ring, and places the crown on her head at a jaunty angle. Ammis then skips her way down the aisle, through the curtains, and right out of the Angel Athletic Association. (</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Angle rating - 55</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div><p> </div></p><p> </p><p> “Huh. Turns out ‘Double Cross’ wasn’t just a clever name for that move after all,” muses Cat. “I’m not sure what Blake originally had planned, but I have to admit, what we just saw was probably much more entertaining.”</p><p> </p><p> “Zoe Ammis skips out of town, and out of AAA, as a three-time Top Contender’s champion and one time tag team champion,” says Freebush. “Is it weird for me to say that I’ll miss her?”</p><p> </p><p> “Maybe?” says Cat. “But if so, then I suppose I’m weird too. She’s obnoxious, but her talent was never in doubt, and she had a great run here. The match sets up somewhat similar to their meeting at Women of Wrestling - Cherry’s got the size and power advantage, but isn’t as agile as Jaime, nor does Cherry have the same stamina. As a result, the story sets up as Cherry Bomb looking to hit power moves to end the match early, while Jaime chips away at Cherry with a quicker pace. Cherry’s making pinfall attempts after she catches Jaime, but Jaime’s able to kick out at two. Jaime doesn’t go for as many pinfall attempts, mostly because her pins are getting one counts.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> By the end of the match, Cherry’s clearly worn down, though it doesn’t lessen her fire at all. Cherry drops to a knee, and Jaime looks stunned. Cherry stands up, unsteady, and Jaime catches her with another K.O. Kick, dropping Cherry to both knees, but she’s still not down. Glassy-eyed but defiant, Cherry screams at Jaime, “Finish me girl! Finish me or I’ll finish you!” Jaime connects with one more K.O. Kick, which crumples Cherry. Jaime makes the quick cover, and looks relieved - and maybe a little surprised - that she was able to score the three count. Cherry Bomb stirs, and the music stops. She’s on one knee as she struggles to get up. Jaime steps over and offers a hand, but Cherry swats Jaime’s arm away, and stands on her own. On her feet now, Cherry rubs her jaw, staring at Jaime. Finally, Cherry extends her hand to Jaime. Jaime looks somewhat cautious, but she accepts, and Cherry and Jaime shake hands. The crowd approves of this show of sportsmanship and cheers loudly. Jaime Quine steps out of the ring, standing near the announce table. The crowd is chanting “Thank you, Cherry!” Cherry smiles and shakes her head. “No, thank all of you. And thank you to Anne Stardust, and Cat Quine. Not all that long ago, I had USPW tell me that my career was essentially over. They wanted me to wind things down, and leave this business that I have loved, still do love. I knew I wasn’t done yet. I called Anne and told her I wasn’t finished. Anne believed in me when the suits in Atlanta didn’t. We worked out a contract...and then Anne retired. And I wondered whether the agreement we had was still valid. It was. Cat followed through on the promises Anne made.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “It is true, what you may have heard. I was offered a contract by North of the Border Pro Wrestling, and I accepted it. It was not an easy decision. AAA has been so good to me. But this is my last chance to show an audience of millions what you AAA fans have already come to know - I’ve still got it. But believe me when I say this - without AAA, NOTBPW wouldn’t have wanted me. I went from an afterthought in USPW, to main events here. I’ll always be grateful for what AAA has meant for me. And, let’s face it - in this business, there’s rarely a goodbye that lasts forever. Maybe I’ll be back one day. Because I have loved doing what I love, in front of crowds like you. Thank you, all you Angels.”</div></div><p> </p><p> <em><strong>Final Show Score - 57</strong></em></p>

You were <em>this</em> close! The name change is a clue that I'm elevating her. So, Sarah Sparkles is considered one of my hot prospects by the game. Also, matches against high-level opponents recently, particularly the match with Blake & Ammis, skyrocketed her popularity to where she was demanding lower midcard status. Based on her popularity gains, she's at that level. So, Sarah Sparkles is no longer in a position where she can lose all the time and not get hurt by it. She's got a lot to learn, still.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Sudo_Nym" data-cite="Sudo_Nym" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42833" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Ariel Breaks is good stuff</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> She really is. Women of Wrestling, for me, would have been the end of that particular story. It's true that Cherry technically is ahead in one-on-one matches, but getting the victory in the main event of the biggest show of the year, as far as I'm concerned, evens things out. Cherry would have gone on to make someone else on the roster a bigger star, like she has for Jaime, and Jaime moves onto something else. But then NOTBPW came calling, I realized that Jaime isn't nearly as over in the Midwest as she is in the Northwest, and this is my last shot to leech some pop from Cherry before she goes. Decided - at least for now - to keep the Cat's Cradle as Jaime Quine's Burning Hammer. I might change that.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bonus Questions</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>1. AAA loses talent to NOTBPW and their exclusive, written contracts after Fireworks Factory. Who will AAA lose after this event?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Cherry Bomb and Zoe Ammis. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-</p><p> </p><p> I've lost three main eventers in less than seven months, as well as one upper midcarder who was right on the verge of the main event. Now I know how Paul Heyman felt. Except I make sure I actually pay my workers.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>2. AAA adds someone to the roster who was let go by USPW. Who will join AAA at Fireworks Factory?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Persephone, in my most TNA moment yet. Unusally, compared to other diaries, USPW and NOTBPW haven't shed many roster members. Amber Allen is a notable exception, and to be honest, she's a project in the sense that her pop in the US is far lower than in Canada. She's not ready to come in and main event on day one. Persephone has popularity in the 60s all across the US, thanks to being on USPW TV. With AAA being a pop > perf fed, I decided to shell out some cash to bring her in, especially with Cherry and Zoe coming off the books. She's not a game changer, but my hope is that she's good for tremendously solid angles.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>3. Lilith adds another member to her brood at Fireworks Factory. Who is the newest Child of Lilith?</strong></p><p> </p><p> Ellie May Walton. I mean, I don't really have a whole lot for her to do otherwise, and she's not exactly good in the ring. By which I mean, she's actively bad in the ring. But she does have Menace that I can exploit, which made her feel like a natural addition to Lilith's brood.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>4. One of these scheduled matches does not happen. Which match does not happen? (Just in case you’re wrong, I suggest you offer predictions for all matches!)</strong></p><p> </p><p> Katherine Goodlooks vs. Devil's Daughter. Someday, good things are going to happen to Goodlooks. Someday.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tiebreaker:</strong></p><p> </p><p> What will be the attendance for Fireworks Factory? The attendance at the last AAA Midwest region show was 914.</p><p> </p><p> Pulled 962 tickets. I'm hoping that I'm able to break 1,000 in the Midwest before 2016 is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Results:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>MrWolf101: 3/5 Matches, 2/5 Bonus, 5/10 Overall (Tiebreaker 950)</strong></p><p> DarEatWorld: 2/5 Matches, 1/5 Bonus, 3/10 Overall (Tiebreaker 962)</p><p> Dr_Avalanche: 2/5 Matches, 0/5 Bonus, 2/10 Overall (Tiebreaker 936)</p><p> <strong>Sudo_Nym: 3/5 Matches, 2/5 Bonus, 5/10 Overall (Tiebreaker 963)</strong></p><p> </p><p> Close one here! Who won depends on the rules applied. If it is indeed Price is Right rules, then MrWolf101 takes the victory. If it's simply closest, then Sudo_Nym's strong heel move of calling 963 gets the win. Also, shoutout to Dar, for getting the exact attendance!</p><p> </p><p> So, anyway, I'm going to declare you both winners, and your narrative prize is coming within the next few days. Check your PMs!</p>

I would suggest that I was cheated from my rightful victory, but with Ammis gone, my heart just isn't in it. It's like all light and joy has gone from the world.

That said, I clearly won in a landslide, and any impartial judge could clearly tell I was a mile in the lead. It should have been a walk over, save for your continuing and inexplicable grudge against me, holding me back. But like I said, I won't mention it this time. Except also, what is your deal? I'm the most talented predictor in this joint!

Also, good show. I really enjoyed the read, and I'll lament the loss of Zoe and Cherry. I actually forgot for a minute there when predicting that Cat and not Cherry was the user character.

<p>Interlude - The End of an Era</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>July 3, 2016</strong></p><p><strong>

AAA Headquarters</strong></p><p><strong>

Tacoma, WA</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/Dw8k489.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/kEkUwNO.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

There was something off about Sherrie. Even considering the war of a match she’d been in last night, she seemed...deflated. When she should be elated. “Sherrie...is everything all right? Is something wrong?”</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry hesitated, which was unusual. Cat began to feel a pit forming in her stomach. Cherry finally gave a half-smile, then said, “I...well. Maybe you can grab that scotch you keep under the desk. North of the Border’s decided they want to poach AAA talent.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cat just stared, blankly, for a moment. Then she asked, simply, “Who?”</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry exhaled, deeply. “Me, Cat. North of the Border wants me.”</p><p> </p><p>

“They want you?” Cat asked, incredulously.</p><p> </p><p>

“Yeah, they want me, Cat, is that so hard for you to believe?” asked Cherry, an edge in her voice.</p><p> </p><p>

“Sharie, I don’t mean it like that and you know it,” said Cat. She’d argued with Anne Stardust. She wasn’t afraid to let things get heated with Cherry, if they needed to be. “It’s just...you said you were coming to AAA to finish out your career. That you wanted to get experience in the backstage production. That you wanted to pass on what you’d learned by taking over the Cat’s Lair training. AAA was counting on you, Sharie. No, screw that. <em>I</em> was counting on you.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Come on, Cat, don’t try to guilt me about this,” said Cherry. “You know as well as I do, when I came back to AAA, it was because I didn’t think that any of the big promotions wanted me any more. I had sat backstage, waiting for segments or matches that never came, and I thought it was over. But it’s not over, Cat. The past six months have proven that.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Is this about your pay, Sherie? I’ll match whatever they’re offering you,” said Cat.</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry gave Cat a quizzical look. “Of course this is about getting paid, Cat. That’s what this entire business is about, getting paid. Making money. You know why I left AAA for USPW in the first place? Money. I know Anne was all about ‘the revolution’ but come on, Cat. Don’t tell me you bought that. Anne was all about us working for as little money as possible, just like every other promoter in history. So I didn’t even think twice about jumping then. But you know something? I actually had to think about it this time. Take that to mean what you will.”</p><p> </p><p>

“And Cat, I know what the finances look like,” continued Cherry “You <em>can’t</em> match what they’re offering me. And even if you were incredibly irresponsible and you did pay me that much, it would be unsustainable. You’d have to cut me to stay afloat. North of the Border is offering me a guaranteed contract, and I wouldn’t be taking on the additional duties of road agent and assistant booker. Plus, I’ll be on TV again. Except for the hardest of the hardcore, you may as well not exist in this business if you’re off TV. You can’t match what they’re giving me, Cat.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cat rubbed her eyes. “This couldn’t have come at a worse time,” Cat said. “AAA has impressed a lot of people with Women of Wrestling. And now, one half of my main event, half of the best match we’ve ever put on, is leaving. Do you know how small-time that makes us look, Sharie?”</p><p> </p><p>

“That’s because AAA <em>is</em> small time, Cat,” said Cherry, without malevolence. Simply stating a fact. “You’ve got a following in an area of the country that isn’t wrestling crazy. The Midwest is starting to get to know AAA, and that’s it. There’s no television, and there isn’t going to be television in the near future.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry sighed. “Listen, Cat. My clock is ticking. I’m 40 years old. My body is going to break down. I have been in professional wrestling my entire adult life. I don’t have a degree to fall back on. I work part-time as a personal trainer, and that’s it. I’m going to be a 45, 50 year old woman who has no real job experience when my body finally quits on me. If I’m going to make an impact, it has to be now. If I’m going to try and make as much money before my career is over, so I don’t wind up elderly and broke, it has to be now.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cat nodded. “You’re right. I don’t have to like it, but you’re right.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/RkMOrtI.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Another thing,” said Cherry. “I’m not the only one NOTBPW wants. They want Zoe Ammis, too.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Oh, what the hell, Sharie!” exclaimed Cat. “You know for a fact that she’s about to go main event! Yes, okay, you’re at the end of your career, but Zoe’s got years ahead of her!”</p><p> </p><p>

“Cat, you sound like Anne right now, you know that?” Cherry said, pointedly. Cat froze. “Listen. The women in this company sacrifice so much. They deserve a payday that you can’t provide. They deserve the chance to hear what 20,000 people cheering or booing them sounds like - especially in their home country, in Zoe’s case. They deserve pay-per-view payouts and endorsement deals and all of that. Don’t be a mark for your own product, Cat, you know there’s no way you can give them those things. Besides, every time someone goes from AAA to USPW or North of the Border, that’s a feather in your cap. Make it work for you. Tell the world that if they want to see the stars of tomorrow today, they need to check out AAA.”</p><p> </p><p>

“You’re a great promo, Sharie, you know that?” asked Cat.</p><p> </p><p>

“Absolutely I am. Especially when I believe what I’m saying,” said Cherry.</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m going to need you to take another clean pin to Jaime before you leave,” says Cat.</p><p> </p><p>

“Now, come on, Cat, don’t be petty,” said Cherry. “I’m about to make a big impact on TV, don’t job me out and screw up my momentum before I even get to Canada.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m not being petty, Sharie,” said Cat. “Like you said, this is a business. Jaime’s my biggest star.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Fine. I’ll take a DQ or a countout,” said Cherry. “Cut me a break, will you?”</p><p> </p><p>

“Sharie, come on. Don’t be crappy,” says Cat. “You and I both know the deal. You go out on your back. That’s how it is.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry snorted. “Fine. But you promise me something,” said Cherry. “I want you to put me over <em>hard</em> during that loss. And promise me that you’re not going to bury me after I’m gone.”</p><p> </p><p>

Cat nodded. “Sharie, you know something? You’re right - I’m not Anne. I’m upset that you’re leaving. I’m not upset at you.” The women sat in silence for a long moment. It was not clear whether there was something they wanted to be said but couldn’t, or if the silence was because there was nothing left for them to say.</p>

Okay, with the loss of Cherry Bomb and Zoe Ammis.

There are 13 Heels:

  1. Stephanie Blake (World Champion) [Main Event]
  2. Demelza Wade [Main Event]
  3. Tracy Brendon [upper Midcard]
  4. Devil's Daughter [Midcard] /Children of Lilith/
  5. Kate Lily [Midcard] {Delicate Flowers}
  6. Debbie Rose [Midcard] {Delicate Flowers}
  7. Ellie May Walton [Midcard] /Children of Lilith/
  8. Laura Flame [Lower Midcard]
  9. Selina Svelte [Lower Midcard] {The Uprising}
  10. Elsa Calvo [Opener]
  11. Glorious Gloria [Enhancement Talent]
  12. Ariel Breaks [Enhancement Talent]
  13. Talia Quinzel 'Out Injured' {The Uprising}

and 15 Faces:

  1. Jamie Quine (Tag Team Champion) [Main Event]
  2. Nadia Snow [Main Event]
  3. Paige Croft (Tag Team Champion) [upper Midcard]
  4. Suzanne Brazzle [upper Midcard]
  5. Foxxy LaRue (Top Contender Champion) [Midcard]
  6. Golden Delicious [Midcard]
  7. Katherine Goodlooks [Midcard]
  8. Wendy Anderson [Midcard] {Flower Power}
  9. Christy Higgins [Lower Midcard] {Princess & The Punk} /3P/
  10. Simony Sentinel [Lower Midcard] {Princess & The Punk} /3P/
  11. Joanna Silver [Lower Midcard] /3P/
  12. Steffi Chee [Lower Midcard]
  13. Sarah Sparkles [Lower Midcard]
  14. Amber Allen [Opener]
  15. Bobbie McGee [Opener] {Flower Power}

So the following things are needed:

  • Steph Blake needs a new sidekick.
  • Jamie Quine needs a new rival.
  • We need to get the Tag Titles off Jamie Quine & Paige Croft.
  • The Children of Lilith need better Wrestlers.
  • We need to find an angle to help push Tracy Brendon.

</strong></strong><strong>Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee) vs. The Ultraviolets (Electric Warrior & Velvet Suarez) vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

We’re debuting not one, but two new tag teams during our pre-show at Girls Night Out. The Ultraviolets - Electric Dreamer and Velvet Suarez - bring exciting, fast-paced lucha action to AAA. Glorious Domination, the team of Glorious Gloria and newcomer Juliette King, may be the biggest and strongest tag team in AAA history. These two new teams face off against the established high-flying tag team in AAA, Flower Power. In this three-way elimination match, which team will stand tall when the final bell rings?</p><p> </p><p>

Devil’s Daughter vs. Foxxy LaRue</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Foxxy LaRue just won her title back from Zoe Ammis...and she could turn around and lose it again, given that she’s taking on the first of Lilith’s children, Devil’s Daughter. Devil’s Daughter has not lost since Lilith’s arrival - will Foxxy be the one to break her winning streak?</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>10 Minute Time Limit Match</strong></p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/weawI8F.jpg</span> <strong>vs.</strong> <span>http://i.imgur.com/fzhTaWY.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>Ariel Breaks vs. Amber Allen</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Amber Allen makes her AAA debut at Girls Night Out, taking on the young, up and coming Ariel Breaks. Allen has requested this match have a time limit of 10 minutes, saying that she’s not here in AAA just to compete, but to challenge herself as much as she possibly can. Allen’s got tremendous skills, but does she have enough skills to defeat Breaks, much less defeat her in under 10 minutes?</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/VcZ3dx5.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/AWOWtpe.jpg</span> <strong>vs.</strong> <span>http://i.imgur.com/U10U2qP.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/TjVyclG.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The A-List (Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow) vs. The Princess & the Punk (Simony Sentinel & Christy Higgins)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The A-List split in June and followed that up with a grudge match at Women of Wrestling that got completely out of control. General Manager Cat Jemson has been distressed that her former clients are at odds with each other - particularly since it means Jemson has fewer pawns she can manipulate. Jemson has arranged this match in an attempt to patch up the issues between Wade and Snow. The Princess & the Punk, Christy Higgins and Simony Sentinel, have been called the “queens of the pre-show”, and they will look to expand their success by taking advantage of the A-List’s mutual dislike.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/Lz8zst8.jpg</span> <strong>vs. </strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/5Auj7Hh.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Kate Lilly vs. Jaime Quine</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Jaime Quine has established herself as quite possibly the best wrestler in all of AAA with back-to-back victories over the legendary Cherry Bomb. What the future holds for Jaime, no one can be sure. In the immediate future, Jaime will take on one-half of AAA’s most dominant tag team, Kate Lilly of the Delicate Flowers. Lilly may be known as a tag team specialist, but this could very well be a “trap” match for Jamie. If Jamie lets her guard down after the two biggest victories of her career, Lilly absolutely will take advantage.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/F4Wr0uD.jpg</span><strong> vs. </strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/2m3v59w.jpg</span></p><p><strong>

Paige Croft vs. Steph Blake</strong></p></div><p></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

A rematch from Women of Wrestling, the main event of Girls Night Out sees Steph Blake having to defend her Femme Fatale title against Paige Croft without Zoe Ammis to bail her out if Croft gains the upper hand. Croft is in a bad mood, since she came so close to victory at Women of Wrestling, even with a neck injury. We hear Croft is fully healed, and unlike last time, Croft won’t have already wrestled another match when she takes on Steph Blake. That said, never count out the Queen of Mean Steph Blake. She’s a ferocious competitor and will do anything and everything to keep the Femme Fatale title in her possession.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bonus Questions</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

1. There will be a minor injury sustained by one of AAA’s workers at Girls Night Out. Who gets injured, and who is responsible for the injury?</p><p> </p><p>

2. Foxxy LaRue gets a beatdown after her match at Girls Night Out. Who gives Foxxy a beatdown?</p><p> </p><p>

3. A third person joins the announce desk at Girls Night Out. This person has previous AAA experience, but was not employed by AAA until this show. Who is the new color commentator added to the team of Jim Lou Freebush and Cat Quine?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tiebreaker</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

The capacity of the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall is 2,995. The last show in the Northwest Region (excluding Women of Wrestling), drew 2,954. What will the attendance be for Girls Night Out?</p>

<p><strong>Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee)</strong> vs. The Ultraviolets (Electric Warrior & Velvet Suarez) vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</p><p> </p><p>

Main Card</p><p> </p><p>

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</p><p>

Devil’s Daughter vs. <strong>Foxxy LaRue</strong></p><p>

<em>Guessing we get a DQ here, can't see either losing this straight up for various reasons.</em></p><p> </p><p>

10 Minute Time Limit Match</p><p>

Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Amber Allen</strong></p><p>

<em>Figuring Allen is going to be a project.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The A-List (Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow)</strong> vs. The Princess & the Punk (Simony Sentinel & Christy Higgins)</p><p>

<em>I'm not confident on this one. Can't see the A-List co-existing and Princess and the Punk could do with the broadcast win. But, I don't want to go too face heavy and there's a big difference in popularity there. So, I don't know how, but going with an A-List win before they get into things with each other.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Kate Lilly vs. <strong>Jaime Quine</strong></p><p>

<em>Momentum.</em></p><p> </p><p>

AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</p><p>

Paige Croft vs. <strong>Steph Blake</strong></p><p>

<em>I can't see Paige getting the belt before Quine and Blake needs a bounce-back, in character at least, from being embarrassed by her former lackey.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. There will be a minor injury sustained by one of AAA’s workers at Girls Night Out. Who gets injured, and who is responsible for the injury? <strong>For no reason at all, let's go with Breaks being hurt by Allen. It'd make for an interesting story interlude.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2. Foxxy LaRue gets a beatdown after her match at Girls Night Out. Who gives Foxxy a beatdown? <strong>There's a couple of obvious options that spring to mind. I'll try and swerve those and go Tracy Brendon.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

3. A third person joins the announce desk at Girls Night Out. This person has previous AAA experience, but was not employed by AAA until this show. Who is the new color commentator added to the team of Jim Lou Freebush and Cat Quine? <strong>Doing some digging in the database, I'm going to guess Grace Harper.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

The capacity of the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall is 2,995. The last show in the Northwest Region (excluding Women of Wrestling), drew 2,954. What will the attendance be for Girls Night Out? <strong>Got to be a sellout by this point, 2,995</strong></p>

<p>Pre-Show</p><p>

<strong>Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee)</strong> vs. The Ultraviolets (Electric Warrior & Velvet Suarez) vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</p><p>

Comment: Difficult. Flower Power should be the most over, Ultraviolets are good and exciting, and Glorious Domination need to look dominant, but probably doesn't have the skills to match the other two teams. I think Glorious Domination looks strong but is caught out somehow and Flower Power snatches the win from out of nowhere.</p><p> </p><p>

Main Card</p><p> </p><p>

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</p><p>

<strong>Devil’s Daughter</strong> vs. Foxxy LaRue</p><p>

Comment: This is the test, isn't it? Will Devil's Daughter pass this hurdle? I suspect she does. Someone will stop her, eventually, but I think doing it now would be undercutting her a bit too much.</p><p> </p><p>

10 Minute Time Limit Match</p><p>

Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Amber Allen</strong></p><p>

Comment: Ariel can become something, but she's not winning this.</p><p> </p><p>

The A-List (Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow) vs.<strong> The Princess & the Punk (Simony Sentinel & Christy Higgins)</strong></p><p>

Comment: Wait, wait, wait. Did I miss something? I thought Wade and Snow were still feuding? Er... This makes me very uneasy to make any kind of prediction... If the story is that they are forced together against their will, I can see Sentinel and Higgins grabbing a surprise win, but if the A-List are on the same page, this could get one-sided. I'll go with the Princess & the Punk, because I'm a mark for both Sentinel and Higgins.</p><p> </p><p>

Kate Lilly vs. <strong>Jaime Quine</strong></p><p>

Comment: Kate's tag team sister will probably interfere, and I still see Jaime grab the win.</p><p> </p><p>

AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</p><p>

<strong>Paige Croft </strong>vs. Steph Blake</p><p>

Comment: Paige is great, and I think she might be the one to take the belt from Steph Blake, but I don't think it happens here. My prediction is a weasel finish, like an intentional count out or DQ setting up a rematch.</p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. There will be a minor injury sustained by one of AAA’s workers at Girls Night Out. Who gets injured, and who is responsible for the injury? I think something happens in the first match. Let's say <strong>Juliette King injures Velvet Suarez.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2. Foxxy LaRue gets a beatdown after her match at Girls Night Out. Who gives Foxxy a beatdown? <strong>Ellie May Walton </strong>seems like a reasonable guess. </p><p> </p><p>

3. A third person joins the announce desk at Girls Night Out. This person has previous AAA experience, but was not employed by AAA until this show. Who is the new color commentator added to the team of Jim Lou Freebush and Cat Quine? Trying to come up with some alternative answer I like, but <strong>Grace Harper </strong> does make a lot of sense.</p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

The capacity of the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall is 2,995. The last show in the Northwest Region (excluding Women of Wrestling), drew 2,954. What will the attendance be for Girls Night Out? <strong>SOLD OUT, 2,995.</strong></p>

<p>Pre-Show</p><p>

Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee) vs. <strong>The Ultraviolets (Electric Warrior & Velvet Suarez)</strong> vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</p><p>

<em>The only workers in this thing who are worth anything</em></p><p> </p><p>

Main Card</p><p> </p><p>

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</p><p>

<strong>Devil’s Daughter</strong> vs. Foxxy LaRue</p><p>

<em>I don't think you can Bray Wyatt DD so quickly.</em></p><p> </p><p>

10 Minute Time Limit Match</p><p>

Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Amber Allen</strong></p><p>

<em>AA is main-event ready walking in the door.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The A-List (Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow) vs. <strong>The Princess & the Punk (Simony Sentinel & Christy Higgins)</strong></p><p>

<em>I have to assume that the A-List lose because they're still feuding, and maybe kingjames forgot that fact.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Kate Lilly vs. <strong>Jaime Quine</strong></p><p>

<em>The hot new main-eventer who just beat the biggest name in women's wrestling at AAA's biggest show of the year against a tag team specialist who lost to the the main-eventer's tag team in the title match on the same show is not exactly what one would call a pick fated for destiny.</em></p><p> </p><p>

AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</p><p>

Paige Croft vs. <strong>Steph Blake</strong></p><p>

<em>Steph Blake is too awesome to lose the belt at a random show. Especially with AA coming in to shake up the scene, and Jaime Quine still waiting to claim it. And double especially because Paige still holds a tag belt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Questions</p><p> </p><p>

1. There will be a minor injury sustained by one of AAA’s workers at Girls Night Out. Who gets injured, and who is responsible for the injury?</p><p>

<em>Let's say Amber Allen, injured by Ariel Breaks, just for maximum irony value.</em></p><p> </p><p>

2. Foxxy LaRue gets a beatdown after her match at Girls Night Out. Who gives Foxxy a beatdown? </p><p>

<em>Ellie May Walton is the obvious guess, but I'm going to say Katherine Goodlooks joins Lillith's stable, just for a thing to do. She was last seen feuding with them, and hasn't been seen in a while, so I'm taking a flyer that this is the comeback.</em></p><p> </p><p>

3. A third person joins the announce desk at Girls Night Out. This person has previous AAA experience, but was not employed by AAA until this show. Who is the new color commentator added to the team of Jim Lou Freebush and Cat Quine? </p><p>

<em>Your wording implies somebody that came in on a talent exchange at one point. But I can't be bothered to dig through, so I'll randomly guess Tamara McFly.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

The capacity of the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall is 2,995. The last show in the Northwest Region (excluding Women of Wrestling), drew 2,954. What will the attendance be for Girls Night Out? </p><p>

<em>Well, the guy above me guessed 2,995, and I can't go higher, so I'll guess 2,994.</em></p>

<p>Ahhhh, it just had to be Zoe, didn't it?! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

On the other hand, Cherry Bomb feels like a big story loss because you've been so great at developing her character in the ring and backstage, but I don't know how much of a booking loss she will actually be. It would depend on what you had planned for her, but her going out after having put over Jaime is a pretty good scenario (and I think if you had to lose one of your main eventers, Cherry was probably the one you could most afford to).</p><p> </p><p>

It's a good thing you've been keeping Tracey Brendon strong in the background. I have a feeling she can slide in as Steph's sidekick. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

On to the picks!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Flower Power (Wendy Anderson & Bobbie McGee)</strong> vs. The Ultraviolets (Electric Warrior & Velvet Suarez) vs. Glorious Domination (Glorious Gloria & Juliette King)</p><p>

<em>Wow, first Sarah now Flower Power? What's next, Jinder Mahal as #1 Contender to the WWE title? </em><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

I'm glad you added The Ultraviolets (or Velvet Dream if you would </em><img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><em>) but I can't see them or Glorious Domination winning just quite yet.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Devil’s Daughter</strong> vs. Foxxy LaRue</p><p>

<em>So, obviously, your booking plans have been scrambled by Zoe being poached. You've already taken the belt off of Foxxy once, showing that you're ready to move her on to another program. Is that program with Lilith? I'm thinking no, but DD could use a midcard title for her feuds, while Foxxy can slide into an upper midcard fight.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Ariel Breaks vs. <strong>Amber Allen</strong></p><p>

<em>Oh yes, Amber is on the rise! This should be a pretty good match though.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The A-List (Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow)</strong> vs. The Princess & the Punk (Simony Sentinel & Christy Higgins)</p><p>

<em>So, I like the set up of Jemson trying to force A-List to patch things up. A win by Higgins and Simony would be a launching pad for them, but I think it would also really hurt Snow and Wade, depsite them being divided. I say they just manage to win, then brawl afterwards.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Kate Lilly vs. <strong>Jaime Quine</strong></p><p>

<em>Jaime needs to continue looking strong after sending Cherry packing. I figure she's next in line for Steph, and losing here would slow her down heading into that money feud.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Paige Croft vs. <strong>Steph Blake</strong></p><p>

<em>Contiuning off the above, Steph vs Jaime is hot fire, so I don't see this getting in the way of that. Paige might win via DQ, but I figure better to have Blake continue to cheat to win. A post-match beat down by Steph and her new sidekick can lead to Quine coming out to save Croft, setting up that feud.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

1. There will be a minor injury sustained by one of AAA’s workers at Girls Night Out. Who gets injured, and who is responsible for the injury? So I've seen Foxxy and Electric Dreamer injure wrestlers in the past. It seems to be a very random stat, so let's go <strong>Jaime injuring Kate Lily</strong>, just for randomness sake.</p><p> </p><p>

2. Foxxy LaRue gets a beatdown after her match at Girls Night Out. Who gives Foxxy a beatdown? <strong>Talia! Talia!</strong> Could also be Tracey Brendon too, but I figure you've got bigger plans for her.</p><p> </p><p>

3. A third person joins the announce desk at Girls Night Out. This person has previous AAA experience, but was not employed by AAA until this show. Who is the new color commentator added to the team of Jim Lou Freebush and Cat Quine? Yeah, <strong>Grace Harper</strong> seems as good a bet as any.</p><p> </p><p>

Tiebreaker</p><p> </p><p>

The capacity of the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall is 2,995. The last show in the Northwest Region (excluding Women of Wrestling), drew 2,954. What will the attendance be for Girls Night Out? Let's go a conservative <strong>2,975</strong>. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

It was only pre-show, but the first show with Suzanne as AAA’s new road agent was inauspicious. Electric Dreamer and Velvet Suarez were supposed to be AAA’s new luchadora team...but they couldn’t have been any more out of sync then they were tonight. Just zero chemistry. And then there was Gloria. It was easy to see why Cat would sign her as an opening act - she had a great bodybuilder look. Unfortunately, she also wrestled like a bodybuilder.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/PVM1Kw9.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/YI5DIFh.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Suzanne’s assessment was further supported when Wendy Anderson came backstage with what would no doubt be a magnificent black eye. Gloria followed not too far behind, and it was somewhat comical to see a woman so huge be so sheepish.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “I...um...I’m sorry?” ventured Gloria.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Anderson turned to look at Gloria with her one non-swollen eye. “You’re sorry? No. I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I was part of this match. That was a flying cross body spot, Gloria. Why on earth did you think that was a European uppercut spot? Have you even </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>seen</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> a wrestling match before tonight?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Anderson was hot, and Suzanne agreed she had every reason to be. That said, there was no reason to continue to berate the girl. She may be huge, but everyone was a rookie once. “All right, Wendy, go see the trainer before that swells up any more.” Anderson clearly wanted to continue her lecture, but relented for Suzanne’s sake. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Hopefully, that’s the worst thing that happens tonight…</em></div></DIV><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/VJqkQW6.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> As the feed begins, a packed house can be seen behind the commentary table, where Jim Lou Freebush starts the show. “Good evening, Angels, and welcome to Girls Night Out 2016! Cat, after a very successful visit to Kansas City, we’re back home.”</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/kEkUwNO.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> “Tacoma holds a special place in my heart, because this is where it all started for AAA 20 years ago,” says Cat Quine. “When we started, we were lucky to get 50 people to one of our shows. We’re in front of 2,995 Angels who are ready to see an incredible night as the revolution rolls on.” </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/aj3bkqhUQM0?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="David Bowie - Fashion"></iframe></div></div> plays, and the cheers quickly turn to jeers. “Looks like Cat Jemson is going to kick off another show. Hooray.”<p> </p><p> <div style="border: solid 5px #7A378B;"></p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>In the ring at AAA Girls Night Out</em></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/2grrL5B.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> As the music dies down, Cat Jemson speaks. “Two weeks ago, the AAA Board of Directors made a terrible decision, and installed Persephone Coombs as the commissioner of AAA. After all, when I was the sole person in charge, AAA drew the largest crowd it ever had! And it got me to thinking, why did the board make such a terrible and unnecessary decision? It’s because, since day one, I have been slandered by our commentary team! Well, that ends tonight, because I am adding a new member to the commentary team. One who will tell the truth! Tonight, we welcome Grace Harper to the commentary table!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/zUsPh6M.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/uBl8pJY.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The crowd pops a bit for the reappearance of AAA Hall of Fame member Grace Harper. Harper gets into the ring and shakes Jemson’s hand. The two hug, clearly delighted to see each other. However, the reunion is interrupted by the appearance of Commissioner Coombs. “Wait a minute, Cat, wait just a minute. You didn’t tell me about this, much less get my approval.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Jemson smirks victoriously. “That’s because I didn’t </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>need</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> your approval, Coombs. The AAA bylaws clearly state that I have sole hiring authority over commentators, since it has nothing to do with what happens between the ropes. So, no, I didn’t tell you, because it is literally none of your business who’s on commentary.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Coombs shrugs her shoulders. “Fine. If it makes you feel better, go for it. Grace, nice to meet you. Nice to see you again, Cathy.”</p><p> </p><p> Cat Quine gives Harper a death glare. “Nice to see you too, Grace.”</p><p> </p><p> Freebush looks apprehensive. “Um, ladies, perhaps it would be best if I sat between you two?”</p><p> </p><p> Harper laughs, a high, musical chuckle. “Oh, Jimmy. DD is caught off guard by the sudden onslaught and the champion takes the early advantage. Foxxy is keenly aware of Lilith and Ellie at ringside, maybe too aware, as the early advantage is negated by LaRue trying to keep Lilith and Ellie in sight. DD slows the match’s pace down, working Foxxy’s lower back to prepare for the Going Down Below camel clutch. Foxxy won’t go down without a fight, and she manages to speed up the pace. Foxxy has DD in her sights for a Flash Head Kick (Sick Kick)...</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/dcnOexP.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/3vdoMpU.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Which never comes, as Talia Quinzel clubs Foxxy in the back of the head. The referee calls for the bell, but Talia Quinzel doesn’t care, as she’s seeking revenge for her injury four months ago. She lifts Foxxy high in the air, then drops her down across her knee with a massive backbreaker. Quinzel’s running buddy, Selina Svelte, joins in on the beatdown, putting Foxxy into a nasty Prawn Armlock (Kimura Lock). Foxxy frantically taps, but Svelte doesn’t let go of the hold. Instead, Quinzel gets into Foxxy’s face, screaming invective at Foxxy. Finally, Quinzel decides Foxxy’s had enough pain for the moment, and Svelte releases her. Medical staff rush to the ring to see Foxxy, while Quinzel and Svelte stand tall, proud of what they have done. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Foxxy LaRue defeated Devil's Daughter in 8:11 when Devil's Daughter was disqualified when Talia Quinzel ran in and attacked Foxxy LaRue. There </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>is</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> no A-List anymore, all right? You’re both passionate people, and sometimes emotions will flare. You had your fight at Women of Wrestling, you had a chance to get it out of your systems. Now...well, I need you to set your differences aside. Zoe Ammis skipped town, and it’s so obvious that I should never have put my trust in that goofball. I should have trusted you two. I should have gone home with the one you came with, as they speak. You two have achieved great things together. You can’t seriously throw that away over one little spat, can you? So, that’s why I booked you two in a match together tonight. So you can remember just how good you two are when you work together.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The two women sigh, and both say, “Fine”, at the same time. They look at one another, annoyed. “I’m going to go out and I’m going to put on the show of a lifetime every time I walk through that curtain, Cat, no matter the situation,” says Nadia. “But I’m walking out alone, and I’m walking back alone.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “As if I would want to enter or leave with you!” scoffs Demelza.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Fine, fine,” says Jemson, hurrying to cut off another argument. “Just...see what it’s like out there. Both Snow and Wade are clearly trying to win this match all on their own. Neither Wade or Snow are willing to tag out, so blind tags become the name of the game for the A-List. Sentinel & Higgins are more than able to hang with the far more experienced former tag champions as a result, with Sentinel working a high-energy aerial game and Higgins working a complimentary ground game. The crowd starts thinking that Sentinel and Higgins have a real chance to win this one, and get behind a few close two-counts. Joanna Silver is yelling encouragement to her P3 partners as an upset is brewing.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A two-and-two-thirds count seems to shake Wade and Snow out of their individual dislike for each other. Though begrudgingly, the A-List start to take over the match with fluid teamwork that almost seems like precognition. Now facing the A-List, instead of individual partners, Sentinel and Higgins start getting desperate, taking wild chances. Eventually, one of those risks backfires, as Sentinel goes for a high cross body off the top rope. Snow rolls through and lifts Sentinel up for the Snow Plow. Wade comes in with a SuperStar Kick before Snow drops Sentinel to the canvas - the dreaded “Star Treatment” combo that has won the A-List so many contests before. Snow goes for the immediate pin while Wade lands a SuperStar kick right on Christy Higgins’ jaw when Higgins tries to break up the pin. Snow gets the three count, and for the first time in a while, the A-List stands victorious. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(The A-List defeated The Princess & the Punk in 10:17 when Nadia Snow defeated Simony Sentinel by pinfall with a Star Treatment. Snow tackles Wade, and the two women roll out of the ring, trying to maim each other. Referee Dwight Kumas and the ring crew try to separate the two rivals, and manage to do so after a while, though not without members of the crew taking a few lumps from both women. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Angle rating - 46)</em></div></DIV><p> </p><p> “You know, that Nadia Snow just has to be the center of attention. Quine and Lilly put together some fantastic sequences, getting the AAA audience into a match that, on paper, is of no particular consequence. If there is a problem with the match, it’s that it ends suddenly, with a K.O. Kick right to the jaw. Though Quine is the audience favorite, the crowd seems somewhat disappointed when Lilly doesn’t kick out, because they want the match to keep going. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Jaime Quine defeated Kate Lilly in 6:39 by pinfall with a K.O. It needed to be. Cherry Bomb is not a woman you ever take your eye off. Whatever our personal differences, she’s the toughest person I have ever fought. But Cherry is a woman of her word and she’s left AAA, which means I can think about what’s next. Which is, I am requesting a title shot against the winner of tonight’s match between Paige Croft and Steph Blake. Both are amazing performers, and Croft is a dear friend. In fact, I don’t want to hear about you getting a chance at the Femme Fatale title until you first defend the tag team titles in two weeks, at our next show, Heatwave. Thinking she could dictate terms to the Queen of AAA. As if we would bow down to the whims of some braggart. How many times has Jaime Quine won this championship?” she asks rhetorically, pointing to the Femme Fatale title over her shoulder. “Zero. Less than zero. She has never even been worthy to challenge for it. And we are to just grant her a title shot? We think not.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Now, as for that upstart Persephone Coombs. Who is she, to think she can tell us what to do? Now, this Coombs, this pretender to the throne, she may have chased away our dear friend Zoe, but she will not chase us away. Oh, no. We hide steel under the silk of our civilized attitude. Back onto her vertical base, Blake decides to test Croft’s neck, to see if it has healed from her injury at Women of Wrestling. A snapmare takedown to a neck crank puts Croft’s healing to the test, and Croft does appear to be feeling the effects more than she would seem to otherwise. Blake tries to use her weight advantage to keep Croft down, but Croft powers her way up and breaks the submission.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Croft tries not to signal the extent of the neck injury, but it’s clear it’s hurting her. Blake hones in on this and hits a nasty impaler DDT to get a two-and-then-some count. Croft decides to “turtle”, not unlike an MMA fighter, striking at Blake’s legs and particularly at her knees, while keeping her neck out of Blake’s reach. It works for a while, but Blake eventually catches one of Croft’s legs to put her in a single leg crab. Croft works her way out of the hold, but it appears a more offensive strategy is needed.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Croft decides to make this match a striking contest. It may not be the best idea in a vacuum, given Blake’s height and reach advantages, but it catches Blake off guard enough that Croft is able to land some solid strikes before taking Blake up and over with a judo hip toss. Croft retains her grip on Blake’s arm, working Blake’s fingers and wrists like she had been trained, ironically enough given Blake’s origins, in the old English grappling style. Blake is able to force a rope break, and rolls outside. Croft follows…only to be bashed in the gut with a chair. The referee signals for the bell before Blake can follow up with a hard shot across Croft’s back. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Paige Croft defeated Steph Blake in 15:52 when Steph Blake intentionally got disqualified. Blake rolls Croft into the ring, and then thrusts a chair into the back of Croft’s neck. She does it two or three more times before Jaime Quine slides into the ring. Faced with a fresh and very angry opponent, Blake slides out of the ring, still holding her chair, using it now as a shield. She holds the chair aloft, looking very proud of herself, while Jaime tends to Croft. Jaime frantically signals for the medical team to come down, while Blake smirks and disappears behind the curtain. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Angle rating - 50)</em></div></div><p> </p><p> “What a cowardly act by Steph Blake! Hopefully we’ll have some good news to share, and we hope you’ll join us in two weeks for Heatwave.”</p><p> </p><p> “Given everything we’ve seen tonight, there’s going to be a lot of people looking for resolution, and possibly retribution, at Heatwave,” says Freebush. “Until we see you two weeks from now, Angels, I’m Jim Lou Freebush.
