The GSW Thread

Recommended Posts

There's something very distinct about GSW that caught my attention ever since I found out about the promotion. I've been playing with them for a while and even started a Dynasty but realized there's no dedicated GSW thread.

Here's a little something to get a discussion started:

- Who do you push?

- Who do you fire?

- Who do you hire?

- How do you deal with the backstage atmosphere?

- How do you deal with a roster full of people that have issues with the law, drugs or other things?

1) Aside the usual names, Raheem Stash is my pick.</p><p> </p><p>

2/4/5) Nobody at least for one year and keep the boat floating. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

3) I would hire a mouthpiece for Deaf Touch. As for wrestlers if you want two different choices than usual, hire Brendan Idol and Vikki Victoria.</p>

I booked GSW for 2+ years before I resigned. I put up a "Lessons Learned" post at the end of my Dynasty with tips and suggestions for anyone who wants to read it.

To answer my own questions from the past with the experience I have now:

- Who do you push?

Cali Slick and Fro Sure from the start. Eventually E-Soteric and Raheem Stash grew to became top stars. Busta Capp is good, but age catches up with him soon. Deaf Touch is great, he was kinda lost in the shuffle though.

- Who do you fire?

Aces High, he's got a load of problems, is unreliable and toxic backstage. Fired Mexico's Finest too, in an attempt to save money and improve backstage morale. He's quite the character. BB Colossus got the boot soon, couldn't deal with a wrestler who has stamina issues after 5 minutes.

- Who do you hire?

The Good Ol' Boys are the obvious choice, A* team experience, both are Brawlers with good overall skills and popularity. I got Mutant (young, brawler, great potential, muscular big guy) to hopefully replace BB Colossus. Brought in Deadly Deadshot and Lil Henry after they left IPW, was running an "Invasion" storyline. DD is excellent, Henry came at a late stage so I can't say much. Brought in Babau too, but didn't keep him as he didn't fit my plans (a.k.a. didn't have any chemistry with DD or E-Soteric). Brought in Jake Idol for a 1 night appearance, should have kept him around. Signed Carlos Barrerra to team/feud with MexiCain but he turned out too expensive for what he provided. Also brought in Jebediah to put him in a stable with the Good Ol' Boys, he wasn't bad but not great either. Bullseye seemed like he'd fit in, but ultimately didn't

- How do you deal with the backstage atmosphere?

Releasing Aces High and Mexico's Finest already provided a big boost. As time went by, I paid extra attention to hiring people who were positive backstage. Relationships were formed and it helped, I could have done better if I had the guts to use the Meddle option earlier.

- How do you deal with a roster full of people that have issues with the law, drugs or other things?

Once the backstage atmosphere was better, I banned drinking, smoking and drugs. As for law problems, I got too scared and released everyone except MC Motormouth. In hindsight, I should have taken the relationship hit and kept some around, mainly Dead Men Walking and LatiNoFear.
