AnarChy
Long time lurker, finally got the inspiration to do a dynasty. Obviously this will be using Idolized's APEX logo which is absolutely amazing. I've been wanting to do this for like a month but couldn't think of a good name or logo then saw this and man it's perfect. I'm also going to be using joemurphy's Modern Pic Pack, so thanks so much for this addition to the community. Now to the fun... http://i.imgur.com/SCL4FlE.jpg http://imgur.com/5qoQOmW.jpg BREAKING NEWS: 21ST CENTURY FOX ENTERS WRESTLING BUSINESS, BILLY CORGAN TO LEAD NEW COMPANY Sunday Week 1, December 2016 By: Dave Meltzer In an absolute bombshell announcement just released minutes ago, one of the world's largest media corporations announced its entrance into the professional wrestling business. 21st Century Fox will be opening a wrestling promotion under its programming and entertainment arm, and Billy Corgan will be brought on as an Executive Vice President to lead the new company, entitled APEX Wrestling. The relatively short press release left a lot up for speculation, but did say that 21st Century Fox intends to operate APEX Wrestling under a full-time touring schedule with a weekly television show on one of its networks. The release also said Corgan, and Fox Television Group CEO Dana Walden will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning in Los Angeles to provide more details, including a timetable on the promotion's debut. This move comes just weeks after Corgan's dramatic departure from TNA Wrestling, and just 3 days after Corgan and Anthem Sports and Entertainment announced it would be settling a lawsuit that Corgan filed against the company. A move of this magnitude however, assumes that Fox is provoking direct competition not only with TNA, but more importantly that it looks to eventually become WWE's first direct competitor in nearly 2 decades. We'll keep you updated with the latest as it comes. http://anarchy.byethost7.com/wresobsban.jpg http://imgur.com/OzALZVb.jpghttp://imgur.com/Kk839ri.jpg KURT ANGLE SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH WWE Sunday Week 1, December 2016 By: Dave Meltzer Well folks, if you haven't caught your breath yet, then get ready. Just hours after the news of APEX Wrestling, WWE announces that it has signed Kurt Angle to a multi-year contract to return to the company. No official word yet on a debut or role for Kurt, but I've been told he's been signed on a Brock Lesnar-type scheduling agreement that's obviously going to be a decent amount less than what Brock is making. I'm also hearing Kurt likely won't be debuting before TLC, but that could obviously change. No one I've talked to really has a clue what the plan is yet for Kurt. In fact one source says they think Triple H may have made this call directly in reaction to Fox and Billy Corgan's APEX Wrestling announcement. But, either way, here is the quick version of what APEX Wrestling head Billy Corgan and Fox Broadcasting CEO Dana Walden talked about:

Corgan when asked about the timing of the announcement being so close to his departure from TNA: "This is the final time I will speak about that situation going forward. I've had a close relationship with a number of executives at Fox for years, and I first began talking with them about their interest in either buying or starting a wrestling company around the same time that I started working for TNA. As time went on, the wrestling business interested them more and more, but never enough to purchase a company in TNA's situation even though that was my mission. So, we agreed to pick up the talks later as I worked on helping grow TNA. Things fell apart as we all know, and there's a lot of stuff I can't talk about legally, but the day that I left TNA I got on the phone with Fox and we worked around the clock to make this thing happen as quickly as possible."

Fox CEO Dana Walden on the plans for the company: "Many media companies, some of which being our direct competitors, have had great success owning and operating touring entertainment companies. We see APEX Wrestling as one of a number of great opportunities for us to get into the live, touring entertainment business. It's just icing on the cake that we can also televise the product and bring new viewers to our networks. We plan on using the full strength of FOX's financial power to make our new investment successful."

The company's programming and timing: Walden said "APEX on FX" will premier Tuesday, Week 3 of this month at 10pm, and that show will be live from the Fresno Convention Center. The show will continue in that timeslot moving forward and air on FX in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia, and they plan to add the show on to other international FOX networks in the near future.

The company also plans to have live 3-hour specials on FX's sister channel, FXX, which as a smaller channel allows more flexibility for longer shows.

There's no plan for Pay Per Views at this time, but down the line they'd love to see APEX Wrestling in some way on the main FOX network.

On any talent signings thus far: Corgan said they have been working almost 24 hours a day on dozens of signings, but aren't announcing any of them today. Some of those announcements will be made online in the coming days, but some of the talent are under confidentiality agreements, and won't be revealed until they debut on TV. He said you'll just have to "watch and see."

On any executives, creative members or other non-wrestlers signed: Corgan said he was proud to announce that the Creative Team for APEX Wrestling would consist of himself, former Smackdown & TNA head writer Dave Lagana, Raven, and Al Snow.

http://imgur.com/0IABApa.jpghttp://imgur.com/Ggid2Jx.jpghttp://imgur.com/fPXKfiI.jpghttp://imgur.com/8zcvWyF.jpg

Ron Simmons, Kip Sopp also known as Billy Gunn, and Steve Lombardi have been brought in as Road Agents.

http://imgur.com/8589pc8.jpghttp://imgur.com/7iaiUG0.jpghttp://imgur.com/8zrPqZX.jpg

Kevin Nash has also begun working extensively on the project recently.

http://imgur.com/jB0Zgaq.jpg

The broadcast team for all events will be former WWE announcer Rich Brennan, Raven, and "The Professor" Mike Tenay

http://imgur.com/wUzbUWe.jpghttp://imgur.com/fPXKfiI.jpghttp://imgur.com/UtRi0wc.jpg

On what kind of talent they plan to bring in, and whether talent will be free to work elsewhere: Corgan said all talent they have signed and will sign are going to be on exclusive deals. He said with the resources that FOX has, he plans to build the "greatest and most diverse wrestling roster of all time."

Obviously a unique schedule as the company plans to broadcast its marquee 3-hour events on free television, which sources tell me is an attempt by FOX to grow the smaller and newer FXX channel.

Another interesting development programming-wise is the late-night timeslot on FX immediately following WWE SmackDown.

Clearly a lot still being kept under wraps in what's really a shocking and exciting time to be a wrestling fan, but we'll continue to bring you the latest as more details emerge.

....

http://i.imgur.com/SCL4FlE.jpg
http://imgur.com/hrWufgG.jpghttp://imgur.com/HDRXW0s.jpg

ANTHEM TAKES OVER, WHAT'S NEXT FOR TNA?

Monday Week 1, December 2016

By: Bryan Alvarez

To say TNA has come out on the losing end of this Billy Corgan saga is an understatement, but what TNA does have now is financial stability. Sources are telling us that Anthem Sports and Entertainment has officially completed its acquisition of TNA, and it now owns 80% of the company.

http://imgur.com/pX97rGi.jpghttp://imgur.com/Fs1PB8R.jpg

http://imgur.com/Oi2CfJ5.jpg

Anthem Executive Vice President Ed Norholm will oversee the company, and the keys to the creative side of things have been handed over to Jeremy Borash. Dixie Carter now owns just 5% of the company, and now only holds the title of "Chief Strategy Officer," whatever that means. Nashville-based marketing company Aeroluxe owns 15% of the company. This would have been bigger news, of course, had FOX not just opened a multi-million dollar wrestling company, and Kurt Angle not signed with WWE.

Whether APEX Wrestling tries to poach any TNA talent is unknown at this point of course, but that should be a cause of concern for TNA as well. While it isn't totally certain whether any contract language would keep TNA talent from joining a new company like APEX, we do know that the vast majority of TNA's roster are not working on anything resembling an exclusive deal.

http://imgur.com/BblKbgz.jpg

http://imgur.com/kEUYSe2.jpg

http://imgur.com/GOteRBl.jpg

http://imgur.com/MXxoIk8.jpg

sportsfanmas
I am digging this dynasty. Great stuff, I really like the time and effort you put into your pictures and graphics. My dynasty is pretty basic because I don't have the kind of time to devote, but your road agent notes and quotes of the segment are golden. I'll definitely be following, and will be interested to see what "Big Sexy" decides to do with the titles. Great start, really enjoyed the first show.
