So USPW is upping the amount of events to a big 16. Hopefully it's explained decently in the descriptions but how I used was the survey was if something was super popular I made it a long event (Civil War) or split it into two (Lone Star). If it got a good amount of votes (Toronto, Tijuana etc) it got a PPV. If it did ok I combined it with another ok one to make a smaller event (Mature/Christmas Party, Haloween/Feast or Fired).</p><p> </p><p>

Although a couple of them are smaller short events and Civil War Weekend is counting for 2. In the future I can imagine changing Red, White & Blue, Stars Stripes and Slams and/or Liberty & Justice but I didn't want to change all at once. Plus I want to wait and see what expansion we make as I would like a UK and Japanese event to match the Toronto/Tijuana ones but that obviously depends on in game.</p><p> </p><p>

A note that if it is held on a Wednesday, then unless other specified it will be held AFTER American Wrestling with the TV show being held in the big arenas as a glorified pre show.</p><p> </p><p>

In all seriousness though I'm gutted not one person voted for either of my two favourites (Rockzilla and Dreamscream)! I will have to find 2 new monsters and push them as the greatest tag team of all time just to spite you all.

 

Okay... To be fair... Rockzilla and Dreamscream could work as a tag team... I'm thinking a gimmick akin to two members of the band Kiss!!

 

I'll go with Running Wolf and Freddie Datsun as the "American Everymen". Both Running Wolf and Datsun will be using the "blue collar" gimmick.

 

That's exactly who I would have picked!! Will be a fun break up in years to come...

I am so out of touch with the cverse again!! OR!! Joss Thompson's old partner in the UK: Leo Price if he's available. He's a good, solid hand. The new team can just be jobbers to teams like American Everymen.

Well Marv is actually the head booker for Lone Star Wrestling, so it makes sense to bring in Dean.

 

 

So I have written up a USPW statement that talks brings in some of the results of the survey, but it didn't really make sense posting it now as it will only affect the diary from now on (April). So instead I will just release the results and then post the relevant statements when they are about to have an effect in game.

 

The PPV results are all revealed in the PPV schedule I posted earlier.

I was pretty happy with these results, the schedule is a big change from the default product, which I want to avoid, but I think it will really help the diary side of things.

 

A new monster will be debuting and his name will be.... Jackhammer!

I thought this one would win, it was a bit less 'out there' than some of the others. At first I wasn't keen on it personally but I think it will fit the character. He's about to debut on the show I'll be writing soon.

 

For the signing policy it was a draw between World Domination and Protector of the busness. NYE had the tiebreaker and went for protector.

I am happy about this, but it is going to be hard! Already in game there are people available to poach and it's hard deciding that I shouldn't. This will be a pretty big change to the game but more details will follow when we get to April. Without giving away spoilers, what I will say is it's not exactly how I have operated so far...

 

The hero team isn't set to debut until at least May. But the name will be... Project Hero! Hopefully they can do you all proud and be a strong group.

 

Finally you all voted for me to keep the valuable veterans but replace the others. This isn't exactly easy if I can't sign too many new people! But does mean that we might see some developmental call ups earlier than planned. But still I'd like to let the veterans slowly drop down rather than simply firing them.

 

But thanks all for the votes, 18 people did it which was nice. I won't be able to do them too often because they are only really interesting for you if they are game changing decisions but hopefully it won't be too long until I need to make some important decisions.

 

There are only two normal American Wrestlings before the next PPV (and the pre-show one) but I still enjoyed this PPV so lets start the road to Red, White & Blue! (it actually is Red, White & Blue this time...)

I haven't had a chance to get '16 yet, but I ran a tag team of Running Wolf and The Force in TEW 13 that was called "Running Wild." It was quite entertaining and ended up being a fairly surprising team for my company. Curious to see how you make Datsun and Wolf work together.

The Force is definitely another person who could do with a tag team or anything at all to keep him relevant. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> So the journey to Red, White and Blue has begun. It's weird reading back the shows I wrote a while ago. Honestly, one thing I regret is I think I sort of missed a chance with Chris Caulfield after this show. He's in the main event fued and does fine don't get me wrong, but his opening promo about warning Rich not to get extreme never really goes as far as it could have, but he's still doing well in game and is starting a new feud at the moment so perhaps he will get another chance to show his extreme side.</p>

I knew I wanted a 5 on 5 to main event this. As a way of showing the crowd what they have to expect in the proper 5 on 5 that’s about to happen. Casey had a long promo, unscripted, and performed well which I was happy about. I like the idea that Jones/Thompson is going to be a bit like a friendly rivalry, Joss is a heel don’t get me wrong but this is all about one-upmanship and seeing who can out-do the other. Only a few big people in action this week. It's a trend that mostly continues. Thoughts: This show actually lost us popularity so must have been a low B. </p><p>

I’m not too worried though as it wasn’t very main eventers heavy so it’s understandable. Even the ending angle was made up mostly of the Towers of Power and The Cold Warriors. Although I’m yet to get great grades, I’m satisfied that I’ve consistently got B’s without having to spam Champion or throw away many big matches.</p>

<p>End Of the Month</p><p> </p><p>

This is late and should have come before the last show but it still makes sense a week late. </p><p> </p><p>

So I came 2nd in the US battle, which was good enough. It’s knocked TCW down to cult. Hopefully they stay there and stop being able to offer written contracts. There are a couple of people, probably mostly Rocky Golden, who I am willing to pay lots for if I get into a bidding war. (This was written before the 'protector of the business' policy was voted on).</p><p> </p><p>

What’s a shame, is that I had to annoy Nicky in order to get him to lose to Steve. So I gave him a week off to appease him. But at the end of the month it adds up your star quality and it didn’t count Nicky! So I would have actually won the battle if I had him as it was really close. Khoklov has made a big difference. </p><p> </p><p>

What’s funny is that even though NOTBPW got an A for every show they ran in January, I still beat them in the Canadian war, I guess star power really does trump good ratings which is great news for me. </p><p> </p><p>

Each month I tend to pick a bunch of people and check their growth. Steve has gone up a couple of points in the two things he needs to improve (psychology and charisma) so if I continue to give him lots of time both in ring and on the mic I’m hoping he can really improve. As to be honest I thought he had better ratings. Saying that, he has gone from a B to an A in popularity so it’s obviously not slowing him down. Speaking of people I thought had better ratings… I take back what I said about Petr Novak. I’m still going to give him a chance to prove me wrong as he has pulled some decent grades but wow he has bad stats. Popularity wise January was great, as Nicky didn’t go down much (A to B+) even though Steve jumped right up. Caufield and Enygma both also increased despite losing most of their matches which is a great sign. </p><p> </p><p>

Despite spending 5mil on LSW I only lost 1 mill in January. So I’ve upped all my production levels to the highest possible. I’m hoping to go for the kill and really hurt SWF. Other than some of the more obvious picks my dream would be to poach Brandon James. USPW doesn’t care about his age, if he isn’t in time decline he could be interesting in our main event. Also added Captain Atomic and Valiant onto my shortlist. (Again though, this has sort of changed now after the vote)</p>
