Anyway hope you all enjoyed the show. I wasn't certain on giving Henry the title shot but i figured it will be an interesting build. At the moment the USPW World Title is in a weird limbo where both Frehley and DeColt claim to be champion but all of that will be addressed in the next couple of American Wrestlings. But the real reason I gave the win to Henry is it seemed right on the night. This wasn't a A-tier PPV, maybe even a C-tier, and so it felt like a good time to give a surprise win. The story of the night was Team USA letting Henry down but him being determined not to let the fans down and pulling out a victory that would normally be a bit above him. </p><p> </p><p>

The other upset was Petr Novak defeating Bruce, Petr has gained popularity well recently and has surprised me with some of his grades, so this is me giving him a big opportunity. This will have boosted his popularity right up, it could either be the peak of his career or he could continue to surprise me and climb into the main event. </p><p> </p><p>

Other notable events was Ricky DeColt's debut. I signed him months ago, before Steve, but he has been in developmental. I was tempted to debut him directly against Steve but I like the idea of keeping them seperate, at least for now. Ricky is pretty unknown in the US so I want him to gain quite a lot before putting him in a main storyline.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm hoping to get some steam back into this in the next week as the Road to Independance Day starts. I really am I sucker for taking a week or two off writing and then losing momentum, and football manager has been the ultimate momentum killer so I'm trying to be determined not to let that happen! I'm hoping the recap posts will serve 3 purposes- remind the regular readers what has gone on, give a chance for new readers to get into it but also refocus me and help me plan the next few months.</p>

<p>The World Cup came out really well, very enjoyable show and I was truly behind Henry at the end. Henry came out looking very strong, and fit that role you describe (being let down but having the winning mentality) perfectly. Hope to see Novak given a strong run, beating Bruce is big, and I am sure you will capitalise on it.</p><p> </p><p>
