Local Feds....do i need announcers?

Recommended Posts

You are correct you don't need announcers until you are on tv....I wouldn't even entertain the thought of announcers until you are about 6 months away from getting a tv deal. They can still gain experience as a team announcing for matches even though you are not on TV and that is when you should look into it.

I know my play style is hardly that of the average bear. But I do start quite a few games at the Local level and I wouldn't dream of not having announcers. Of course my purpose is to train talent up and make them useful where they weren't before. But my assumption is that my promotion's shows are going out over the Internet for the folks who wish to look in. So it essentially boils down to what BrokenCycle said.

Honestly if you're looking to short cut on payroll, I'd skimp on the road agent. Just either have your veterans do that or choose a user character that's capable of it

I put on 4 decent shows, then lost ALL the popularity i earned because "Regional Battles" apparently apply to Regional-Local promotions so i get crushed <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I love the idea of not having announcers at lower levels, but then I don't imagine my promotions as DVD properties. They are small local shows in tiny venues, and if I was running one in real life I wouldn't pay two guys to sit in the corner and do an impression of commentary.

I've watched some shows on DVD without commentary, but I couldn't tell you what promotions. Lower end stuff. I like to hear the crowd.

I always have one announcer and one color personm even at local. I find that the experience builds quickly and helps with bonuses, which local/small companies can always use.
