==King Of The Ring: Night One==</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

What better way for the WWF fans to enjoy Memorial Day weekend than to watch two nights of WWF action back to back? For the first time ever, the King Of The Ring tournament would be televised, and it was split up into two nights so as to feature non-tournament matches. Night one was aired live on the USA Network, but if you wanted to see night two, you had to call your cable provider to order it on pay-per-view. The event also aired internationally, with night number one airing on TSN, Sky Channel and Seven Network Australia; and night number two airing on NTL and Seven Network Australia.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Night one featured the first round matches from the King Of The Ring tournament, and the announcing duties were taken care of by Jesse Ventura and myself, while Gorilla would step into my position the next night. We kicked the night off with none other than the Honky Tonk Man taking on Koko B. Ware. Jesse and I made sure to put over the different potential match-ups that could result from what happened in this first round, and one of the possibilities we brought up was maybe Honky Tonk Man and Jake "The Snake" Roberts facing off. Jimmy Hart would distract the Birdman, and that allowed Honky to hit him from behind, then finish him off with his patented Shake, Rattle & Roll for the three count.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Next up was "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan taking on Cowboy Bob Orton. This was a brawl from the outset, which played to the strengths of both men. Orton would make a mistake when he took too long to attempt to hit Duggan with a clothesline in the corner, only for Duggan to get out of the way and Orton to crash into the turnbuckles, allowing Duggan to knock him out and get the pinfall following a Three Point Stance Clothesline.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

One of our recent spring time hires was Missy Hyatt, who we had given her own talk show segment, Missy's Dirt Sheet. She was a heel through and through, and I felt it was a good idea for her to interview "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, who talked about how he was going to win this prestigious tournament. Craig DeGeorge interviewed Tito, who disagreed and felt that he was back on track and that was his tournament to lose. DiBiase and Tito would put on a good match for the audience, with DiBiase getting the win with shenanigans as he held the ropes for leverage.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

The first round was capped off with Jake "The Snake" Roberts taking on King Harley Race. Bobby Heenan had made it clear for weeks that there shouldn't have even been a tournament because Harley was already the King of Wrestling, but put over the fact that Harley was such a tough man that he had no qualms silencing his critics once and for all. However, it was Heenan that caused things to backfire as he tried to interfere when he jumped up </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

onto the apron to distract the referee as Jake was making a comeback. As the ref argued with the Brain, Jake got a hold of him and was ready to strike. Luckily for Jake, he had eyes in the back of his head as he got out of the way of Harley running in toward him. Harley would accidentally knock Heenan off the apron and onto the floor, allowing Jake to hit him with the DDT for the victory.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was Mean Gene interviewing Hulk Hogan to hype up the next night's Stretcher Match against King Kong Bundy. Hogan cut one of the more memorable promos in some time, talking about how that "no good weasel Heenan" had been trying to take him out for years. While not outright talking about his feud with Heenan dating back to their days in the AWA, the more sophisticated fans could probably tell that Hogan was hinting at those days, while the more casual fans probably just assumed Hogan was talking about his feud with Heenan here in the WWF. Hogan got emotional at one point when he discussed how he had flashbacks to Saturday Night's Main Event in Arizona last year before WrestleMania 2 with the recent all out assault from almost the entire Heenan Family. He said that was why he had gone to President Jack Tunney and pleaded with him to make this match a Stretcher Match, and how Tunney reluctantly agreed, making him sign a "No Responsibility" agreement should Bundy seriously injure him. This meant that while the match was sanctioned (meaning the title was up for grabs), the WWF bore no responsibility should Hogan get hurt.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Now it was time for some non-tournament action. In recent weeks, Woman had put together herself a group of big, bad monster heels: Kamala (who had Kim Chee, now portrayed by Jerry Oates, as his handler), the Undertaker, and Dan Spivey. Spivey's heel turn was explained by Dan Spivey getting more and more bitter with each passing loss. Then Woman got a hold of him and brainwashed him, causing him to become sadistic and maniacal.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

He even changed his look:</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

</span></em></strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/36iw4OG.jpg</span></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We had used local workers to get squashed on our weekly TV shows by this monstrous trio that Woman dubbed the Dark Circle, and it looked like no one could stand up to them. But there were three men who were more than willing to take it to them tonight: the Young Stallions, who Jesse said must have more guts than brains, and George "The Animal" Steele, who could match up well with the Dark Circle considering how crazy he was in his own right. However,</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

it was not to be as the Dark Circle would get the victory on this night.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Following the six man tag was a tag team contest pitting the Can-Am Connection against a team who they had started having problems with in recent weeks, the Islanders. Heenan was selling the fall he took earlier in the night, but that didn't stop him from cheering his men on. However, Haku and Tama would have a miscue, allowing Tom Zenk and Rick Martel to pick up the victory, presumably putting them in line for a title shot at the Tag Team gold.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We interviewed "Macho Man" Randy Savage with Elizabeth via satellite, who hyped up his upcoming appearance on Piper's Pit the following night. Macho Man made it clear that this wouldn't be like the other Pits where Piper could get one over on his guests because he was unlike any guest Piper had on the Pit.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

To close out the show, we had Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat put his Intercontinental Title on the line against Greg "The Hammer" Valentine.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We put over how Valentine was a former IC Champion and was looking at reclaiming the gold while Dino Bravo was out on suspension for how vandalizing Old Glory (our cover story so that we wouldn't have to come right out on TV and say he was suspended for steroids). Steamboat and Valentine had a hard fought contest, going over 20 minutes before Steamboat picked up the victory with a back suplex into a bridging pinfall,</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

making sure he got his shoulder up so that the ref wouldn't count him down by mistake.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><em>And with that, night one of the King Of The Ring is in the books. Coming up tomorrow will be night two.</em></strong></p>

==King Of The Ring: Night Two==</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Just as we were the night before, we were live from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky for night number two of the King Of The Ring, and we didn't waste any time as we kicked things off with a semi-final tournament match pitting "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase against Jake "The Snake" Roberts. I always heard from them about how they liked working with each other, so this match was a good test run for future possibilities. It was a very good back and forth match between the two, with DiBiase getting the win by a roll up after the Honky Tonk Man came out to distract Jake by deciding to do an impromptu concert on the stage platform that we would use at TV tapings for interviews. Honky really hammed it up, singing about how he dominated Jake so bad at WrestleMania that Jake got himself disqualified to save himself a humiliating defeat.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We had some ladies action before the next semi-final match, and in keeping with the tournament theme, we had ourselves a mini-tournament to crown new WWF Women's Tag Team Champions after the titles had been vacated. First up was the Prankster Punks (Hollywood & Vine) taking on the Sirens (Debra Dallas & Alundra Blayze). The Punks won this one after Hollywood sprayed Debra with her trusty can of hair spray while the ref was distracted with Vine and Alundra fighting outside the ring. The next match was Ladies Night (Rockin' Robin and Desiree Petersen) against the Glamour Girls. The Glamour Girls took it to Ladies Night, but Robin and Desiree picked up the win with a double sunset flip. Neither of these matches were awe-inspiring, but that was the whole point, to cool the crowd off so that they wouldn't get overwhelmed and lose their vocal chords later on.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

It was time for our other King Of The Ring semi-final match as "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan took on the Honky Tonk Man. Both men utilized their entertainment skills to put on a pretty good bout here, with Duggan picking up the victory via a count out after Jake Roberts came back out and let Damien out of the bag, causing Honky Tonk to bolt out of the ring and run to the back with his manager, Jimmy Hart.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Next up was the Rougeaus against the Killer Bees, a match pitting two babyface teams against each other. The Rougeaus hadn't gotten over as faces as we had initially planned, and I decided that maybe they were better off as heels. However, there was going to be a slow build to their turn, starting off with them ever so innocently pandering to the American fans, saying they understood why they were booing them because they were from Quebec, because Dino Bravo was from Quebec. But unlike Bravo, they were upstanding Canadian citizens who loved their American neighbors. I even had the Rougeaus win clean against the Bees here rather than them cheating. I would save that sort of chicanery for later.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Next up was one of the highlights of the night, Piper's Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper interviewing none other than "Macho Man" Randy Savage, with Miss Elizabeth in tow. Macho Man had wanted to confront Roddy Piper about how he butted into his business with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, saving Steamboat from a beating. Piper explained to Macho Man that while he had been no saint himself, he always believed in fighting others man to man instead of jumping them from behind. The back and forth trash talk continued until Piper called Elizabeth more macho than the Macho Man himself. That set off Randy, who attacked Piper, but Piper would fight back as a huge melee erupted between the two hot heads. They practically destroyed the Piper's Pit set, and the fans ate up every minute of this confrontation.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

It was time to cool the fans off a bit as we had Sensational Sherri challenge Velvet McIntyre for the WWF Women's Title. The match was still pretty good, and the fans really took to berating Sherri after her infamous magazine spread brought her popularity that she had managed to sustain at this point. Sherri would get the victory and become the new WWF Women's Champion.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

The WWF Tag Team Titles were also on the line, and this time there would be no doubt who the better team was as the Hart Foundation defended the gold against the British Bulldogs in a best two out of three falls encounter. The Harts got momentum on their side by winning the first fall, but then things started looking up as the Bulldogs got the second fall. It really looked like the Bulldogs would pull it out, but Bret managed to counter Dynamite Kid's victory roll attempt, holding on for the three count and helping his team to retain the titles.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Mean Gene interviewed Ted DiBiase, and he said had an ace in the hole. What could that have possibly meant?</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Ted DiBiase and Jim Duggan were no strangers to each other, having teamed with each other and fought against each other in the Mid South territory (which by this time was known as the UWF). It's also where DiBiase and Jake Roberts got familiar with each other's work. DiBiase and Duggan worked a very good match. DiBiase carried the work and selling portion of the match, while Duggan took care of the brawling and playing to the crowd portion. After two years of heels winning the King Of The Ring, it really looked like we were going to have a babyface win the crown, and a working man that the crowd could relate to no less! But then we found out what DiBiase meant in his earlier interview when none other than Cowboy Bob Orton came out, once again wearing a cast. What, did he break his arm fishing or something?! Gorilla did a great job of wondering why Orton was wearing a cast, and Jesse did an equally great job of justifying Orton's wearing of a cast by saying he must have hurt it wrestling "that reckless idiot Doogan" the night before. We found out quickly why Orton was wearing a cast as while the ref was down and out (he was knocked accidentally/on purpose by an errant/right on the money Three Point Stance Clothesline from Duggan), Orton ran in and blasted Duggan in the back of the head with his cast. Orton helped to revive the ref as DiBiase went to cover Duggan, and he was crowned the new King Of The Ring for 1987.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Mean Gene came out with President Jack Tunney, and while Tunney couldn't have been happy with how DiBiase won the crown, the referee's decision was final and there was nothing he could do to reverse it. DiBiase went on to boastfully remind us that he had said that he had an ace in the hole, and that ace was none other than the Ace himself, Cowboy Bob Orton. DiBiase and Orton explained that DiBiase paid Mr. Fuji for Orton's contract so that he could hire him as his full time bodyguard. Duggan had come to by this point and was none too pleased. He came marching down to the stage where they set up the throne, robe, crown, scepter, etc., with his trusty 2x4 in hand. He ran everyone off the set and proceeded to destroy everything, knocking the throne all the way down to the floor; destroying the crown with his 2x4, and tearing the robe to shreds. </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

After that, it was time for the Stretcher Match pitting Hulk Hogan against King Kong Bundy for the WWF Championship. These two men fought back and forth, and I thought it was every bit as good, if not better than their steel cage match at WrestleMania 2. While blood was a very rare occurrence, I allowed for it on this occasion as this was pay-per-view, not to mention the nature of how we had built up this match with Bundy wanting to destroy Hulkamania once and for all. This time, both men would be busted open during the course of the match. One of the caveats that kayfabe President Jack Tunney had laid out was that while Hogan would sign off on a No Responsibility agreement, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan would have to sign off on a No Interference agreement, meaning that no Heenan Family members could interfere, nor could he interfere. The finish came when Hogan blasted Bundy in the head with a steel chair, knocking him out and onto the stretcher outside the ring. Hogan then wheeled the stretcher past the line, winning the match and retaining the title.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p>

Good job on this one, though I wouldn't mind for the big events to see how things graded. Maybe even just the main show rating, but it'd be nice to see a breakdown of the segments too. I think we can mostly I feel how things were when you say they were "average" or in the case of these women's tag matches "not awe inspiring" but the actual figure wouldn't hurt. Keep up the good stuff brotha <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I might go ahead and get that posted along with updating the current (well, current for that point in time) champions after KOTR. I'll also post the point totals. It looks like there's a big multi-person tie, so I may go the current standings route and see who has the most points after SummerSlam (yes, I ran it a year early). Something to keep in mind with my ratings is that I hadn't turned on Crowd Management yet until later on in my playthrough. When I read others thoughts on how it was working, and testing it out, I can't go back to not using it! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">There was no time to rest on my laurels after the successful two night event that was the King Of The Ring. Yes, I had made Ted DiBiase a serious contender who was starting to break out of the midcard and was getting better with each passing show, but now it was time for me to hit the ground running as I worked toward WrestleMania IV without overlooking the months ahead.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

But before all that, I had to deal with another positive steroid test as DJ Peterson was caught using. I guess he thought he would get a push if he started improving his physique the fast way. Yeah, a push right out the door if he didn't get a handle on himself. I opted to suspend him for one month. Even though it was his first offense, I had no real plans for him, and I could hire guys to help put over my superstars anywhere.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

I also made a couple of more signings in Houston, Texas native Bruce Prichard, and the legendary Terry Funk. I had plans to use the Funker as part of Jimmy Hart's stable that also consisted of the Honky Tonk Man, Danny Davis and the Hart Foundation, mainly to help get our upper midcard to low level main event babyfaces over while getting wins himself over other talent that I either had no serious plans of pushing or wasn't ready to push just yet.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Bruce Prichard, on the other hand, I had some major plans for. Televangelists had started making headlines for all the wrong reasons after getting themselves over as big time superstars. So of course I had to capitalize on current events with a dirty TV preacher man on my own shows! And thus, the character of Brother Love was born. The plan was to start him off on Wrestling Challenge before elevating him to either Superstars or The Main Event. I figured that with the success that Missy Hyatt's own show, Missy's Dirt Sheet, had in getting her over, it could help do the same for Brother Love while also helping to get some of the major storylines I had in mind over.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Speaking of major storylines, while Hogan was my top dog, what everyone was buzzing about after King Of The Ring was the epic confrontation and subsequent brawl that the Macho Man and Rowdy Roddy Piper had on night number two of the King Of The Ring spectacular. So imagine how much more buzz there was when President Jack Tunney appeared on The Main Event to announce that at WrestleFest in Milwaukee County Stadium in Milwaukee,</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Wisconsin, these two men were going to square off in a match where both men's careers were on the line...</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><span>http://i.imgur.com/c94Mnyb.jpg</span><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

While we were building toward WrestleFest, I felt it would be a good idea to sign up some more female wrestling talent to build up some depth for our women's division. Among the signings: Palestina the Terrorist, who was renamed to simply Palestina; Godiva; Americana; and Tina Ferrari, renamed to Ivory. I also added some female workers who I didn't have major plans for, but would be good to have to help put the main female talent over. Not to mention it would help if there were ever any serious injuries. Some of the ladies included Dallas (renamed to Dana York because we already had Debra Debutante as Debra Dallas); Misty Dawn; Donna Marie; Delta Dawn; Penny Mitchell; Gidget (renamed Gigi), and Jamie West.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

The live Main Event after King Of The Ring I felt was a success in setting up our very next show, WrestleFest. While I wasn't sure about the idea of events being on American Pay Per View every month, I did think that a summer time series of events on Pay Per View might do good business. In any event, this edition of The Main Event was historic for a few reasons. It was here that we had President Jack Tunney appear on Missy Hyatt's segment, Missy's Dirt Sheet, to announce that "Macho Man" Randy Savage would take on Rowdy Roddy Piper in a match where both of their careers were on the line. </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

It was also historic in that this was the first time we had done a televised event in Dallas, Texas at the Reunion Arena. We had visited Dallas/Fort Worth for house shows, but never for TV. And with this being Von Erich country, it was a big deal to us that we were able to sell the building out, which apparently World Class hadn't been able to do in some time after the rash of drug scandals that had hit the territory over a year earlier.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We also had the Prankster Punks (Hollywood & Vine) defeat Ladies Night (Rockin' Robin & Desiree Petersen) to crown new WWF Women's Tag Team Champions after the titles had been previously vacated. This show was also an opportunity for us to build up some of our newer signings. Butch Reed defeated Billy Jack Haynes via count out thanks to inteference from Slick. Just as Billy Jack was going after the Slickster, here came the Twin Towers to beat down the strong man from Portland, Oregon until the Killer Bees came out swinging steel chairs, leading to Slick talking his men into taking a powder and living to fight another day.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Mean Gene would go out to the platform to bring out the King Of The Ring winner for 1987, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. He brought out Cowboy Bob Orton, as well as Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Harley Race, with Hercules in tow to watch their back. DiBiase explained how he had an "ace" in the hole to make sure that a filthy, dirty and common doofus like Jim Duggan wouldn't get to call himself a king and forever taint royalty. "Cowboy Bob Orton had proven himself to be more than a capable bodyguard when he used to watch that no good ingrate Roddy Piper's back. So who better to watch my back then the ace himself. And while it took quite a bit of money to sign him away from Mr. Fuji, it was more than worth it," declared DiBiase. </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

Mean Gene questioned Orton for playing second banana again, and Orton declared that he was more than happy to be DiBiase's bodyguard. He noted that he and his family are more than financially stable, with his son being able to go to college one day, and they would have more than enough money left over to leave many inheritances for many descendants in the future. DiBiase then explained the presence of part of the Heenan Family, stating that while he was glad to have the accomplishment of winning the King Of The Ring, he couldn't forget his first days of becoming a wrestler before making it to the big time, and talked about how Harley Race was one of the only guys willing to take him under his wing and show him the ropes. As a debt of gratitude, DiBiase declared that Race was the true king of the WWF, and he paid good money for Race to have a fantastic re-coronation, which he declared would occur the very next week.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

One particular segment that I was pretty amused by was Gorilla Monsoon visiting Honky Tonk Man's place of residence, which was named "Great Land," an obvious shot at "Grace Land." Honky Tonk Man declared that he was petitioning President Jack Tunney to "Ban the DDT!" Honky Tonk's mannerisms were rather hilarious as he declared that he would protest every appearance Jake "The Snake" Roberts made and what not.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

We closed out the show with Mean Gene interviewing Hulk Hogan in the ring. It seemed like your standard interview with Hogan discussing that he was glad to have the threat of King Kong Bundy behind him and was looking forward to new challenges that laid ahead.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

</span></em></strong></p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/uu2igkV574I?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Halloween Theme Song - John Carpenter"></iframe></div></div><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#000080;">

I normally don't like paying royalties for music, but when someone played that music for me, I felt it was the perfect group theme for Woman's stable, the Dark Circle, which consisted of Kamala, the Undertaker and Dan Spivey. Woman told Hogan he had new challenges laying ahead of him alright, leading to a beatdown from the terrifying trio. Our camera crew was on the ball on this night, as they were able to grab several shots of kids in the audience legitimately crying and balling their eyes out at the sight of these monsters destroying their hero. While that was how the show ended on TV, I thought it best to send the live crowd happy by having Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper and Jim Duggan defeat Macho Man, Honky Tonk Man and Adrian Adonis in the post-show dark match.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">Things were occurring fast not only here in the WWF, but in other parts of the wrestling world as well. Don Owens, long time promoter of the Portland territory, stepped down, citing his age as he wanted to finally enjoy life away from the business. It wasn't long before long time Memphis standout "The Nightmare" Danny Davis (not to be confused with our evil corrupt referee turned wrestler Danny Davis, aka Dan Marsh) was named the new CEO of the Portland territory.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Meanwhile, I caught wind that one of my latest female signings, Ivory (the former Tina Ferrari) was now dating AWA wrestler Ricky Rice. To be quite honest, I had no plans for Ricky, so I hadn't opted to sign him.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Speaking of relationships, GLOW crazy psycho character Spike got herself pregnant with her boyfriend from outside the wrestling world. Nicky Monroe got pregnant as well with her husband, the much older Johnny South.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

</span></strong></em><span>http://i.imgur.com/hcqH85C.jpg</span></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Meanwhile, in my own company, I opted not to renew the contract of Adrian Adonis. While there was no true bad blood, our relationship had become somewhat strained due to how I had perceived his weight gain and put him in the cross dresser gimmick. I will give the guy credit though: he ran with that gimmick and made himself a bigger star than he had been in his prime. However, it was time to move on.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

</span></strong></em><span>http://i.imgur.com/HEIyd7d.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/izAcj5Z.jpg</span></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Now onto one of my latest signings. Back at WrestleMania III, Lanny Poffo turned on Ivan Putski and would defeat him (much to Ivan's chagrin) in a subsequent match. Lanny eventually transformed into the Genius and stated that he was on a mission to find the "perfect wrestler." We then were treated to vignettes of the Genius finding Curt Hennig excelling at various athletic feats, such as being the perfect swimming pool diver; the perfect home run hitter; the perfect goalie. It would be these feats that would earn Curt Hennig his new name of Mr. Perfect.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

</span></strong></em><span>http://i.imgur.com/VQy8l5Q.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/07YBBAN.jpg</span></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

On an episode of The Main Event from Los Angeles, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase brought out some of the Heenan Family. We went with the story that Heenan had given Hercules and Rick Rude the night off while King Kong Bundy and the Islanders presided over the proceedings. Everything seemed to be going fine until "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan ran out with his 2x4 and started chasing everyone out of the ring, nailing Bundy in the head for good measure. He then proceeded to knock over the throne and destroy everything in sight while DiBiase and the Heenan Family looked on and yelled with furious anger.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

The build for other matches going into WrestleFest continued to go swimmingly, with both Roddy Piper and Macho Man hyping up that neither one of them would retire; Jesse "The Body" Ventura would make visits to Woman's Lair, where the Dark Circle trained in advance of Kamala's big match where he would challenge Hulk Hogan for the WWF Title; and one of my favorite tag team feuds was getting off the ground as the Hart Foundation were set to defend their Tag Team Titles against the Rougeau Brothers. Week after week, the Foundation would have to calm Jimmy Hart down as he was getting more and more worried that the Rougeaus were a legit threat to their title reign.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Magnificent Muraco was being given another shot at a singles push, rekindling his rivalry with Intercontinental Champion Ricky "The Dragon"</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Steamboat. Muraco talked about how it had been far too long since he was last IC Champion, but Steamboat talked about how he had no plans on losing the title and set his sights on breaking Macho Man's record lengthy reign.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Another tag team feud taking shape was the one forming between the Twin Towers and the Killer Bees. After matches, One Man Gang would annihilate one of the enhancement guys after a match, while Big Boss Man ignored his tag team partner's actions and instead would read the other enhancement guy his rights, handcuffing him to the ropes and beating him with his billy club. The Killer Bees finally had enough and stood up to the Towers. Billy Jack Haynes would join them in this feud as Butch Reed made his presence known to help the Towers as they were managed by Slick, much like Reed was.</span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;"> </span></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#000080;">

Honky Tonk Man was still campaigning to ban the DDT, and Dangerous DannY Davis joined him in his crusade. That just meant that Tito Santana would join Jake "The Snake" Roberts in his efforts to keep the DDT as a legal move in the WWF. And speaking of alliances, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake finally had a friend in his feud against Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine, the Marvelous Ones. Initially, Bravo and and the Hammer were going to be the New Dream Team, but I thought better of it. Anyway, Beefcake's partner to help even the odds was the resident Bird Man, Koko B. Ware.</span></strong></em></p></div><p></p><p></p>
