Richard Wright, a young sports broadcaster and lifelong wrestling fan, is sitting in a bar in a corner booth stairing at a pint glass that's empty. He's just been fired from a local channel in the British Columbia region of Canada for hitting someone who insulted wrestling. A man comes and sits in the booth opposite him. it's All Star Wrestling owner Al Tomko. Wright looks up at him puzzled

Al Tomko: Hi I'm Al Tomko

Wright: Yeah I know who you are.

Al Tomko: I saw you at the show last night.

Wright: yeah was a good time.

Al Tomko: Tell me what you really thought

Wright: it sucked. Like. It sucked.

Al Tomko: Ok. Come fix it. Come work for me. You can be a colour analyst next to a young kid called Mauro Renallo.

Wright: I know him, good guy. Talented.

Al Tomko: I know he recommended you. If you take the job you'll run the book, I know you were a wrestler until you got injured so the boys will respect you. Cause you used to do what they do. but i have some rules, we can't be less popular then we are now, we can't go into debt and don't hire anyone who does any of that flying around "cruiserweight" oh and no psychopaths.

Wright: Why would I hire a psychopath?

Al Tomko: I don't know you

Wright: That's fair. Ok I have one request. I have two people i want to sign a contract with us as soon as possible. I want Ken Patera and Jos Leduc.

Al Tomko: Ken Patera? Didn't he beat up two cops? Isn't he in jail?

Wright: No he's out.

Al Tomko: And he'll sign>

Wright:yeah he owes me one. I'll call him. How many people can I fire?

Al Tomko: If you're doing the job, you're call. But you fire them.

Wright: ok I'll do it. Oh one more condition, call Verne Gagne and tell him he can stick his working agreement. He knows why. Tell him Richard Wright doesn't forget.

Al Tomko: I've cleared the diary so come down tomorrow, here's the address and we can start sorting things out, Anything you need before that?

Wright: Only one thing...Stu Hart's telephone number.

Al slides him a paper file and leaves. It's a breakdown of the promotion. Wright starts to read the file. Sometimes nodding, sometimes shaking his head.

Wright: We're gonna need TV.

Wright walks over to the payphone. He dials a number

Wright: Hello Mr Hart, it's Richard Wright from...yes...no I'm not wresting again Mr Hart...ok...Stu...well that's very kind of you we both know that I was really terrible...no he never said sorry...anyway why I am calling is I just took a job working for All Star Wrestling...the one in Canada yes...you remember when you said if there was anything you could do for me...I need to talk to you about Owen.

Wright leaves the pub and gets in a cab. The cab leaves and pulls up outside a house. Wright gets out the cab and walks over to the door and knocks. Mauro Renallo answers the door

Mauro: Hey Rich what are you doing here?

Wright: Al Tomko came to see me and I think you know why

Mauro: and?

Wright: I took the job obviously it's my dream job. I have the book.

Mauro: Ok I said just make you part of the announce team.

Wright: huh. ok. I think you and me can make a difference here. Can I come in?

Mauro: Wanna start planning now?

Wright: Yes, yes I want that very much. Let's call Ken Patera

Mauro: Isn't he in prison?

Wright: no he's out. We'll just keep him away from cops.

Mauro: Sure, can't argue with that logic.

POST 2: THE AGENTS MEETING

OOC/Non Canon: Hi I am Richard Wright I have got back into playing TEW and thought I'd do a dynasty a long side my 2017 game I am doing so to avoid cross over I've gone to 1987 the golden era mod (inspired by a youtube TEW series about the AWA in 1987 I recently started watching) I went with one of the lowest ranked companies and I thought let's go Canada. It's gonna be interesting. The biggest issue I see is there are no TV channels that are just canada. Maybe some open in the game I dunno but the states you can't move for some local channel being available but not Canada. Weird. I didn't sign Mauro he was there when I started the game which was nice. I added a bit of a backstory for my character which will come out more as the game progresses just so I could use myself. Why not. Decent amount of money. 50,000 (Canadian), and my production settings are Professional, Medium, Hired Pro, In House. Regional company (32 in British Colombia) Hopefully you guys enjoy this. I was gonna set up a Twitter account for this but it's 1987. If you guys would like a Twitter account for this then let me know. Expect lots of Canadian music like Rush.

Post 2: First Agents Meeting

Richard Wright is sitting in a small meeting room at the offices of All Star Wrestling waiting for his roads agents. They're late. Mauro Ranallo walks in and sits down next to him.

Mauro: Well, if you're waiting on Dean and Gene

Wright: Dean Ho and Gene Kiniski yeah I am

Mauro: yeah they quit. I just bumped into Al and he told me. And this list of wrestlers.

Mauro hands Wright a piece of paper with names on it. Wright takes out his own notepad.

Wright: wow that just saved me quite a few conversations.

Mauro: how many of them were you gonna fire?

Wright: All of them.

Mauro: Even John Tenta?

Wright: yeah, it's not like loosing John Tenta is gonna cause an earthquake. Did you talk to Chan TV?

Mauro: Yeah, they understand. They didn't really like the packages of NWA highlights anyway. I know it hasn't been that for a couple of years but they tend to not forget. Who was it I saw in here when I arrived?

Wright: Charles Allard from Movie Central. Was talking to him about doing events on his pay station. Like April we'll do a big card and it'll appear on his channel. A bit like a pay per view event.

Mauro: Did you call Owen Hart?

Wright: I did I called Owen Hart and then I called Keith Hart. I think we should go through the roster. In terms of staff it's me, you and Garry Allen. We may add more road agents later down the line. I'll break down the roster...

Wright: Well Owen Hart & Keith Hart can tag for a bit to help that. So we've got one hour of TV a week, today is Thursday, We tape on a Friday and a show on Saturdays at such a terrible time they don't really give us any trouble right?

Mauro: that pretty much sums it up.

Wright: Great. So we tape TV tomorrow, nothing like going in at the deep end. We've got a 1 year deal with Movie Central. I haven't promised anything in terms of how many specials we'll do them so we don't have to make our minds up about that just yet.

Al Tomko walks in

Tomko: We sorting this ok fellas?

Wright: Yes Mr Tomko we are

Tomko: Good, oh this'll make you laugh. I got a phone call from the Iron Sheik, He wants to leave the WWF, apparently he's been ringing around trying to get a job elsewhere Verne rang and warned me.

Wright: really? interesting. How much does he want? Would he be exclusively our talent?

Tomko: Yes he would be but you can't be seriously considering this? You know he's crazy right? He's a lot of trouble.

Wright: you said don't sign pyscho's but nothing about someone who's just a bit nuts. He'd be a draw. We'd be nuts to turn it down with the deal we just did with movie Central. Call him back, offer him 2 and a half grand per show.

Tomko: I guess with all the people who just quit we can afford him. Ok let's do it.

Wright: Find out if he can be here tomorrow.

Tomko: For TV?

Wright: Yeah, that'd shake things up in the way we want.

Tomko: This one's on you kid

Wright: ok then. So he would go in at main event. The Iron Sheik. I mean that's not bad actually cause Leduc's contract is only 3 months and who knows if he'll resign. Oh what do you think of this as the new opening music for our TV shows and events?

Mauro: A bit generic but it'll do the job.

Wright: It's just you and me buddy. Let's book this TV show.

Big Announcement and April 1987 Week 1 TV card

There has recently been changes in the management of All Star Wrestling and when this happens sometimes things get missed. The UWA World Champion Billy TWo Eagles had his contract expiring and sadly All Star management missed the deadline to offer him a new deal. As such Billy Two Eagles has left the company and is no longer UWA World Champion. But from chaos comes oppurtunity. We are announcing a 16 man UWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament. This tournament will take place through the month of April 1987 culminating at All Star Wrestling: Champions are born. This event will air on Movie Central on a pay per view basis. This week on All Star Wrestling on Chan TV we will see the first half of the first round of matches. We look forward to presenting you this exciting wrestling.

Hello I'm Richard Wright and thanks for joining me on CHAN TV. We are happy to say that each week we will bring you a brief preview of what you will see on our show this week right here on Rise and Shine TV. After the shocking departure of World Champion Billy Two Eagles we no longer have a world champion. Coming up this week we start our World Heavyweight Title Tournament. That's right an exciting 16 man tournament will run through the month of May here on Chan TV and will finish at All Star Wrestling Champions are born. Don't forget to contact your provider to make sure you can order this fantastic event from Movie Central. Also after the attack her suffered at the end of last Saturdays show Ken Patera has invited The Iron Sheik to explain his actions. As for our tournament action this week do we have a great show for you. Youth and experience clash in Chris Benoit Vs Mike Stone, two talented youngsters in Terry S.R. and Owen Hart try to make their claim for the title, Jos Leduc arrives in All Star Wrestling to make his claim on the title but he'll have to get past Bruiser Costa first and the most surprising of all is the implosion of the UWA World Tag Team Champions Jonathan Sayers and Timothy Flowers. They visited the UWA Championship committee this week to turn in their Tag Team titles. The tension has always been there between the two and being drawn together in the tournament was the straw that broke the camels back. So at Champions are born we will not only see a new World Champion but new Tag Team Champions as well. A great show coming up for you this week make sure you don't miss it this Saturday on Chan TV.

All Star Wrestling Tv Week 1 April 1987 Results

Private Booker Notes from this weeks All Star Wrestling taping:

- Before this weeks All Star Wrestling taping Jos Leduc was given an official warning described by witnesses as a "stern warning" for his behaviour towards another member of the roster. He was openly critical of Mike Roselli to such an extent that this action had to be taken. He hasn't really reacted to it but he's only here 3 months not sure he'll be around any longer if he keep this up. Have decided to take him out of the tournament and replace him with Brian Adams.

- Doug Gilbert continues to be an extremely negative influence behind the scenes as does The Iron Sheik. Not sure how much I'll put up with Gilbert but at leas the sheik has some value to him.

- We're at a 1,400 capacity venue again this week so hopefully we sell it out.

- Making the most of a bad situation. No one told me billy two eagles contract was expiring. Messed up there but the tournament should work and gives me a reason to get the tag titles off Sawyer and Flowers. One's a face and one's a heel. Whoever booked that. Anyway.

This brings the Iron Sheik to the ring who stands and stares at Patera before spitting in his face and shouting that he is the champion of the world. He attacks Patera beating him down all the time shouting at him and stating that he is the champion of the world while beating down Patera. Referee's and officials fill the ring and seperate the two men but the damage has already been done***
