We barely have time for the opening credits to finish, before the Steiner Brothers come bursting out from the back and march down to the ring with a look of determination on their faces. They jump into the ring, but these aren't the happy go lucky smiling Steiner's of old....Scott looks ready to put his fist through someone's face, while Rick looks as though barking for the crowd is the last thing on his mind. Scott has a microphone and speaks first, saying that he got into this business for three things....</p><p> </p><p> <em>".....to team with my brother.....to win titles......and to kick as many people's asses as possible....last week, I had the chance to do two of those things.....I could have been standing here with the WWF Tag Team Titles, but it wouldn't have been with my brother.....so I kicked Steve Austin's ass instead. Austin, I'm not finished with you, you little white trash redneck b###c....not by a long shot....but it seems to me that before I take you out for good, me and my brother have a little bit of unfinished business with the KLiQ, ain't that right Rick?"</em></p><p> </p><p> <em>"Kevin Nash....Scott Hall.....and any of you other black and white wearing jackasses....as far as I'm concerned you should all be wearing yellow, because you're nothing but a bunch of gutless cowards who can't fight anybody man to man.....yeah, you've kicked my ass twice now, but each time it's taken all six of you to do it....so at Summerslam, Hall and Nash, grow some balls, put the belts on the line.....and face me and my brother, so we can shove our fists down your throats and our boots up your asses....</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>..........!!GLASS SHATTERS!!..........</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="LjBLTcA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LjBLTcA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......and out comes Steve Austin and Brian Pillman. Pillman has his ribs taped from the Powerbomb that he received on the steel steps courtesy of Kevin Nash last Sunday, but he seems to be moving ok with it.....in fact he's bouncing around laughing manically as usual, taking every opportunity to antagonise the live crowd. The two men hit the ring and as usual have something to say. Austin goes face to face with Scott and the two stare each other down, before Steiner breaks the silence, telling Austin <em>"let me guess, now you want another piece of the KLiQ too, for beating up your little buddy there?"</em> but Austin shakes his head.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>".....hell son, I ain't out here to babysit Brian Pillman.....Brian Pillman is a grown man and if he goes and gets his ass whipped then that ain't no skin of Stone Cold Steve Austin's nose....just like Brian Pillman couldn't give a damn if YOU whipped my ass last week......but you DIDN'T....and you COULDN'T if your life depended on it...so before you come out here running your mouth about Steve Austin, you might wanna take a step back, because I'll beat you all over this building, up, down and back again until you're down on your knees begging "Please Mr. Austin, no more".......now as far as the KLiQ are concerned.....they might have beat the snot out of Brian at In Your House....and that's understandable.....he's an irritating little b#####d.....but last week they cracked a steel chair over the back of Steve Austin's head....and UH-UH, that don't stand with Stone Cold....so the way I see it, you....and your moronic brother their need to know your place in the pecking order around here....move aside.....and watch closely, as Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Loose Cannon Brian Pillman, whip some KLiQ ass and take those Tag Team Titles for ourselves."</em></p><p> </p><p> Obviously the Steiner's don't share that sentiment....and seeing how none of these four men are especially known for their calm and relaxed demeanours, it soon becomes clear that we are about to have a little unscheduled brawl right here......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="YMbnf57.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YMbnf57.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......luckily the law is here.....and I don't mean the Big Boss Man.....WWF President Gorilla Monsoon is out and he tells both Austin and Steiner that since they were unable to put their differences aside for one night against the KLiQ, then NEITHER man should get another shot at the belts.....fortunately for them however Monsoon said that he had a better idea.....<em>"which is that at Summerslam, the KLiQ will be defending the WWF Tag Team Championships, against the Steiner Brothers.........AND..........against Steve Austin and Brian Pillman, in a triple threat match."</em></p><p> </p><p> Monsoon then goes on to say that since Pillman and Rick Steiner were both given the week off last week, they will both be in competition tonight....Rick Steiner later when he takes on Kevin Nash.....and Brian Pillman right now.....against Scott Hall.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's an unusual match this one....because while both men certainly have a vocal following, neither is what you would class as a fan favourite.....and while a face vs face match certainly can get over with the crowd, heel vs heel is done far more infrequently, simply because of the possibility of the crowd s######g all over it.....either that or just sitting on their hands with no one to cheer for.</p><p> </p><p> Fortunately that wasn't the case with this one.....the crowd was actually pretty split down the middle, with both men getting an equal amount of jeers to cheers. Pillman took the "babyface in peril" role, although he was quick to insult any crowd member who tried to cheer him on....(which just made them cheer him on louder).....and Hall was his usual cocky self, messing up Pillman's hair and arrogantly batting him about the head. </p><p> </p><p> Pillman fought his way back into this one, using his speed and agility to outwit the bigger man, even hitting a move rarely seen now in his arsenal, a missile dropkick from the top. Hall was able to reverse an Irish Whip attempt and send Brian hurtling towards the corner....Pillman was able to leap at the last moment however, land on the second turnbuckle and come flying off with a cross body attempt...........which Hall caught......before delivering that patented fall away slam, which unfortunately sent Pillman colliding into the Official.</p><p> </p><p> With the Referee down on the mat, Hall sees his opportunity and tries to connect with a low blow to his opponent......Pillman sees it coming however, and catches Halls foot before he can connect. With the Bad Guys foot still in his grasp, Brian gets that maniacal look in his eyes and breaks out in a huge grin.....Hall obviously senses what is coming, as he hops up and down on his one free leg, pleading with Pillman not to do it.....but it's no good....and the Loose Cannon punts him right in the nuts. The official slowly comes around, just as Pillman connects with his Hangmans Neckbreaker, The Time Bomb....and three seconds later that's all she wrote for Scott Hall</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Brian Pillman</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cxFuo6U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cxFuo6U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="w3aaloG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/w3aaloG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We head to the back now, where Dok Hendrix is standing by with The Hart Foundation. He asks Owen about the challenge levied by Faarooq a week ago, as well as his chances against WWF Champion Shawn Michaels....considering the last time they met, Owen found himself on the injured list for a month.</p><p> </p><p> Owen says that yes, Shawn Michaels injured him the last time they met, <em>"but that was then, this is now....and tonight, I'm going to go out there and put a dent in the armour of the Shawn Michaels and the KLiQ.....before my brother Bret goes out there at Summerslam and twists The Heartbreak Kid up like a pretzel in the Sharpshooter, to bring the WWF Title back where it belongs.....and as for Faarooq.....he's always got some excuse for why he is where he is, some excuse to why he lost or why he hasn't had a title shot.....but at Summerslam, there won't be any excuses.....because I accept your challenge Faarooq......and when I apply MY sharpshooter.....you'll be screaming so loud that even my "senile old Daddy" up in Calgary will be able to hear you."</em></p><p> </p><p> The Bulldog is up next, he cuts a generic promo on Hunter Hearst Helmsley, telling him that he won the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam four years ago, in Wembley, England......and this year, the venue might have changed, but the result is going to be the same....when the British Bulldog walks out of Summerslam, the WWF Intercontinental Champion.</p><p> </p><p> And last but not least it's the Hitman. He too laments the Nation of Domination, telling Faarooq to be careful what he wishes for....before moving on to Shawn Michaels.....he tells Dok that it'll have been five long months come Summerslam, since Shawn Michaels and the KLiQ stole the WWF Championship away from him.....and in that time they have grown from strength to strength.....but for all the bad that the KLiQ has done, their biggest mistake, was causing the reunion of the Hart Foundation.....because they might have the numbers advantage, but now I've got blood watching my back....and they'll be watching me, laying you flat out on yours.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bPirxUr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bPirxUr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="BFvIFrA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BFvIFrA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's time for the Light Heavyweights to shine, as the number one contender to Sean Waltman's Title is in action, against a man who is making his Monday Night Raw debut, Psicosis. While this Masked Mexican might be an unknown to the majority of the WWF crowd, he and Mysterio know each other very well and they dazzle the crowd with a series of high spots and lucha-esq moves, the particular highlight of which was Mysterio connecting with a diving hurricanrana from the apron to Psicosis who was on the floor.</p><p> </p><p> The end came after Psicosis attempted to hit a guillotine leg drop from the top rope. Mysterio moved out of the way and Psicosis crashed and burned, landing tailbone first in the process. Rey quickly moved in for the kill and rolled his opponent up....and with Psicosis in too much pain to kick out, Mysterio picks up the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Rey Mysterio</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="IYJgUWD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IYJgUWD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bPirxUr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bPirxUr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Mysterio is up celebrating on the second rope when the Light Heavyweight Champion Sean Waltman hits the ring. He charges his Summerslam opponent but Mysterio obviously sees him coming and rather impressively jumps backwards to land on the shoulders of the Champion. Rey spins his body round until he's in position to hit a hurricanrana, which sends Waltman flying through the ropes, out to the floor and scurrying up the aisle to the back, shouting promises of revenge while Mysterio resumes his celebrations.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="9iWOj1g.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9iWOj1g.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5xwXg1I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5xwXg1I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="VoT036M.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VoT036M.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Hey, it's Dok Hendrix....and this time he's backstage with the Son's of Samoa...Rikishi, Kokina and Rocky Maivia. Rocky says that he's still banged up following an injury that he picked up wrestling Bradshaw a few weeks ago, but he's hoping to be fully fit in time for Summerslam, because the Son's of Samoa have some unfinished business with The Texas Long Riders and Jesse James.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="j24FAoX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="P4qW3WS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/P4qW3WS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> While that last promo was pure filler, it also served as a break away from the arena, to get Mysterio out of the ring....and the three men that stand there now in it. Jim Cornette stands between his two bogey men, Kane and the opponent for the Undertaker at Summerslam, Mankind. Cornette takes the opportunity to once again call the Undertaker a liar and a murderer....before declaring that by the time Mankind has finished with the Deadman, it'll be another three months before your dark hero dates to show his face again.....Kane stands there looking all big, red and monstery, before Mankind takes the stick.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"All things truly wicked start from innocence....the innocence of youth....the innocence of trust....the innocence of love..........the innocence of a small boy, who idolised the ground that his big brother walked on.....only to have that idolisation burned to the ground, along with his parents, leaving nothing but the taste of death in the air and the pain of the seared flesh on his bones.......and instead of looking up at his brother as a deity, he saw him for the demon that he is.....a destroyer of families....a destroyer of dreams.....a destroyer of life's.....Undertaker.....you may have destroyed that young boy.....but you bred a monster obsessed with your destruction.....at Wrestlemania I made you suffer......at Summerslam I'm going to make you feel pain.........but when the time is right.....Kane is going to make you feel twenty years worth of torture and torment......and when that the time comes.....you won't.....have a nice day!"</em></p><p> </p><p> Kane raises his arms high in the air, looking to release that flame of pyro from the corner posts, but before he has chance......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eX846RT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eX846RT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YMPG1tH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YMPG1tH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......the Hardy Boys inexplicably hit the ring....we haven't seen Matt and Jeff since they were decimated by Kane and Mankind several weeks ago......presumably they are here for revenge......they don't get it. </p><p> </p><p> They manage to get a few licks in, but they have little to no effect on Kane.....and Mankind seems to enjoy the blows. Jim Ross, always the historian is quick to point out that this is Matt Borne, the original incarnation of Doink, who's personal demons lead to his firing in late 1993. Jim Ross said that the creepy clown character was given to another performer, who grew and blossomed into a wrestler beloved by kids all over the world. (Jeez, laying it on a lite thick there Jim don't ya think) McMahon says that obviously Borne's troubled and turbulent past wound up sending him down a dark road....and seemingly caused him to seek out guidance in the form of the mysterious "Him".</p><p> </p><p> As for the match itself, it's pretty good....for all of Borne's past indiscretions he's a solid worker, can take a good bump and has enough experience to grind out a good bout....not that Snow is in need of any help to put on an entertaining match....his current persona is worlds apart (in terms of charisma) from the Avatar gimmick that he was saddled with....and Head is slowly picking up a bit of a cult following of her own. This is the first real time since he lost the mask, that Snow has an actual direction....that direction is being on a mission to get "Him" in the ring....and Doink is not going to stop him. After a decent amount of back and forth action Al was able to put the clown away with the Snow Plough for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Al Snow</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="3J2ysmc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3J2ysmc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Snow and DeMott are celebrating the fact that Al has passed the first trial, when the video screen again flickers into life, showing "Him" stood there laughing.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"Congratulations.....but don't let one victory over the clown cloud your mind and your judgement with overconfidence....lest you suffer the same fate as Icarus, who despite warnings not to fly too close to the sun, found himself plummeting to Earth on broken wings, when hubristic overtures overrode common sense....the games are afoot and the trials continue.....trial number two will be next week.....and your opponent, much like Icarus, flew too close to the sun and paid the price for his pride.....next week you face the Angel with the Broken Wings"</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NJr4NXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We head to the back....and to the Steiner Brothers locker room, where Scott is hyping Rick up ahead of the elder Steiner's upcoming match with Kevin Nash....when the door swings open and in walk the Million Dollar Man and Psycho Sid (who has to duck to fit through the low doorway.) Lawler talks on commentary about the Steiner's decision to reject the offer of the Million Dollar Man, saying that the smart thing to do would have been to accept the offer....Lawler says that the KLiQ come out here week in and week out with the superior numbers....because they're too gutless to do anything by themselves.....and they out muscle and out number everyone that gets in their way.....Jim Ross echo's that, saying that there certainly seems to be strength in numbers around here......and Psycho Sid may have just been the difference maker that the Steiner's needed to tip the scales in their favour.</p><p> </p><p> Although as we have seen in recent months, and as we see in this contest tonight....when the numbers are equal....and it's one on one, man to man, then neither Steiner Brother needs any help inside that squared circle. Kevin Nash is a big, big, bad man, but Rick Steiner has been on the receiving end of too man KLiQ sneak attacks and tonight is out for revenge. Nash tries to use his power, whipping Rick hard into the corner....but Rick rebounds straight out again and nailed the big man with a leaping Steinerline. In the end Nash does gain the advantage, but only as a result of Scott Hall tripping the leg of Rick Steiner from the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Scott chases Hall around ringside, throwing choice words at him for his loss to Pillman earlier in the night while Nash goes to work on Rick. It's not often that you see Rick Steiner manhandled but Big Sexy tosses him around the ring as effortlessly as he tosses his hair back for the ladies. The ending in this one comes not from the result of either of the two Scott's at ringside, but from this man....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......Psycho Sid, who comes lumbering down the aisle, informing the Steiner's that they are "stupid" for not accepting the Million Dollar Man's offer. Scotty gets into a shouting match with the giant of a man and Rick (not known for his intelligence) also decides to send some choice words Sid's way.....and when he turns back around gets nailed right in the jaw with a hellacious Big Boot from Big Daddy Cool. Hall sees his chance and nails the younger Steiner from behind with a steel chair while his attention is on Sid.....and back in the ring Nash drops Rick hard with the Jacknife for the one, two, three.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Kevin Nash</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We go backstage again to Dok Hendrix, who this time is standing by with the Nation of Domination. They (Faarooq) cut pretty much the same promo as last week, citing that the Hart Foundation get preferential treatment, that the Nation is always held back and held down by the man.....Faarooq says that at Summerslam he's going to take care of Owen Hart.....but next week, himself, Kama and big Nelson Knight are officially challenging the Hart Foundation to a six man tag match.....a little preview of sorts for what Owen has waiting for him in a few weeks from now.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> So its main event time....and this one should be a good one with the men involved....it's Owen Hart facing off against Shawn Michaels in a rematch of their In Your House encounter from back in May....hopefully this time Hart can make it through the match unscathed. The Title isn't on the line this time around, but as always when you face the Champ, a victory would have to put you somewhere near, if not right at the top of the list when the next Title Contender is decided.</p><p> </p><p> Unsurprisingly this was a very, very good TV match.....scrap that, this was a very, very good match full stop, TV or not....and one that could have easily headlined any Pay Per View. (So no pressure at Summerslam Bret) It had all the hallmarks of what made their last match great....without the handicap of Owen working through an injury halfway through the contest. Shawn has toned down his aerial arsenal since his heel turn back in March, he knows that if you keep giving the crowd moves to cheer you for, eventually they are going to cheer you more than boo you.....Shawn knows that he's the number one heel in the company right now, so why ruin that......for one night though....and against an opponent who is more than capable of matching him in the air....the high flying Heartbreak Kid is back. He hits the elbow drop from the top, a big plancha to Owen on the floor, and perhaps most impressively a springboard moonsault from the apron to the second rope and finally to Hart on the outside.</p><p> </p><p> Owen isn't to be outdone however, with a missile dropkick and a suicide dive through the ropes that sends Michaels crashing into the crowd barrier. The two men go back and forth, with both coming close to finishing the other off....never as close as the closing sequence though.....because with Hart down, Michaels backs into the corner and begins to tune up the band, exploding towards his opponent with some Sweet Chin Music.....Owen is able to catch the foot though, sweeping Shawn's other leg out from under him and is about two seconds away from locking in the Sharpshooter when out of nowhere the Nation of Dominations music starts to play.</p><p> </p><p> Owen releases Michaels legs and turns in anticipation of an assault.....it's an assault that never comes however, because the Nation don't appear. Hart realises this and turns to continue his offence to Michaels.....but he turns straight into some Sweet Chin Music by the Champ. Michaels makes the cover.....and this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Shawn Michaels</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="bFSpyYx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bFSpyYx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MC3cI3I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MC3cI3I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="IYJgUWD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IYJgUWD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pzXetTl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pzXetTl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Michaels rolls Hart out of the ring arrogantly, just as the video screen shows a shot of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash shoving some sound engineers around in the production truck. Obviously the KLiQ "persuaded" the intimidated team to play the Nations music as a distraction. It's not long before the rest of the KLiQ join the Champion in the ring, as they all have a laugh at Owens expense.</p><p> </p><p> Shawn takes a microphone and announces that this is exactly why no Hart will hold HIS WWF Championship again.....because Bret....just like the rest of his inbred clan....is stupid.....Michaels says that he embarrassed Bret at Wrestlemania....he took Owen out in May and embarrassed him again tonight.....Summerslam is going to be no different. Bret Hart flat on his back, humiliated in front of the world.....<em>"because the Heartbreak Kid is the WWF Champion.....and the Heartbreak Kid is going to STAY the WWF Champion.....why? Because the Heartbreak Kid, doesn't lay down for ANYONE."</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>WCW came up with a novel idea this month......and by novel I mean stupid.....they decided to premier a brand new Pay Per View event called Hog Wild....bit of a strange name for an event right.....not when you take into account its location....Sturgis, South Dakota.....smack bang in the middle of the Sturgis Motor Cycle Rally. That's the novel part of the idea.....the stupid part? It was absolutely free to attend.....zero dollars made on the gate....not that there was a gate....more of a row of Harley Davidson's.....so not only did the talent have to compete outdoors under a burning sun, they had the pleasure of 5000 motorcycle fumes to breathe in while they were sucking air......way to go Bischoff.....not only that but the event sucked.....Hogan actually wrestled surprisingly, beating the young up and comer Abdullah the Butcher.....while WCW Champion Ric Flair teamed up with Lex Luger in the Main Event....to face the formidable pairing of Dave and Kevin Sullivan (yawn).....the only real noteworthy news was that Diamond Dallas Page knocked off Dean Malenko for the United States Title. Even worse for them, was that on the back of that lacklustre display we trounced them in the ratings by almost a full point....16.01 to 15.05.....all in all a pretty bad week for the competition.</p><p> </p><p> The Olympic Games are ongoing at the minute and the good old US of A picked up a gold medal in freestyle wrestling....a young man by the name of Kurt Angle impressed everyone....not only because he won the gold medal....but it emerged after the event that he actually competed seriously hurt, severely injuring his neck during the trials where he fractured two of his cervical vertebrae, herniated two discs and pulled four muscles.....essentially, he won a gold medal in wrestling with a broken frigging neck. The Gold means that Angle managed to complete an armature wrestling Grand Slam, winning the junior nationals, NCAA, the world championships in 1995 and finally the Olympics accomplishments. Vince is adamant that he wants to try and get Angle to turn pro but I'm not so sure....there's plenty of great amateur wrestlers about....and while this Kurt Angle may well be one of the best ever, good amateur skills don't always carry over to pro wrestling.....but at the end of the day Vince is the boss....if he signs Angle and then tells me to push him, then that's what I'll do.....anyhoo, on to Raw. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 1, August 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> Steve Austin vs. Scott Steiner vs. Kevin Nash</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Hart Foundation vs. The Nation of Domination (Faarooq/Kama/Knight) </p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs Barry Windham</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Al Snow vs ???</p><p> (Who is ???....again they have never appeared in this dynasty)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Bob Holly vs Jeff Jarrett</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Bonus Question: One of these matches does not happen as advertised here.....it still happens, but in a different form....which match and why?</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Beejus" data-cite="Beejus" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Shawn Michaels - <em>But who's side will Brian Pillman be on?!</em><p> Kevin Nash - <em>Diesel shows his badassness again.</em></p><p> Brian Pillman - <em>Loose Cannon goes crazy and picks up a pretty huge win. Six against one with a cackling Sunny looking on with glee in the background, pretty much spells disaster for the Englishman as he gets his head bounced repeatedly off lockers and walls, until he can barely stand. Credible picks the Brawny Brit to his feet, holding him there in place while Triple H takes pleasure in taunting the helpless competitor, telling him that he should have known better than to Challenge the KLiQ, thinking he had a chance in hell at taking the Intercontinental Championship.....<em>"but if you want the belt that much....I'll be happy to give it to you"</em>.....before picking up the Title Belt, taking a step back.....and driving the prestigious Gold Plate straight into the head of the Bulldog.</p><p> </p><p> Hunter stands over his Summerslam challenger, before telling Kevin Nash that <em>"hey Kev, he looks tired.....why don't you give him a seat?"</em> Nash says that it would be his pleasure, picking up the Bulldog and Jacknifing him straight through a (gimmicked) wooden bench used for dressing.....and down to the concrete floor.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cxFuo6U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cxFuo6U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......just as Bret and Owen come charging into the room....it's too little too late though, the damage is done and Davey Boy is down and out. The KLiQ turn to continue their assault on the Hart Brothers, but The Heartbreak Kid puts a stop to that, telling his gang of thugs to not lay a finger on the Hitman.....he doesn't want any excuses when he kicks his ass in just two weeks time at Summerslam. The commentators use this time to talk about the heinous actions of the KLiQ, with Lawler calling them a pack of cowardly dogs. McMahon questions how the Bulldog can possibly compete in the six man tag match later tonight.</p><p> </p><p> It's Ahmed and his amazing shrinking tights up against the Texas Long Rider, Barry Windham. Ahmed has been spinning his wheels as of late, with little to do, while Windham has been in the midst of a feud with the Son's of Samoa, which came to a screeching halt when young Rocky Maivia picked up an injury a few weeks ago.</p><p> </p><p> As for this match, it was pretty good. Johnson benefited from being in there with someone as experienced as Windham, because psychology wise Ahmed is often a bit lost....fortunately for him the crowd are still behind him, despite his inactivity recently. Tonight he was able to reverse Barry's running Bulldog attempt, sending the man crashing into the corner, before finishing him off with the Pearl River Plunge for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Ahmed Johnson</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="kbzSPDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kbzSPDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SVOW7yS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SVOW7yS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bgKzLED.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bgKzLED.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="x7S7R0g.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/x7S7R0g.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This one is over, but the Big Texan isn't happy and calls for reinforcements, as Justin Bradshaw and Jessie James come charging down the aisle. The three men mount an assault on Ahmed, who is able to hold his own for a while, even sending Jessie James crashing to the floor with a clothesline over the top rope. Eventually a big Lariat from Bradshaw puts him down though and then it's time for the Texan's to try and lynch the muscular superstar. James brings in the Bull Rope, which Bradshaw hooks around the neck of Johnson.....and is just about to hang the man over the top rope when....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9iWOj1g.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9iWOj1g.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5xwXg1I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5xwXg1I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="VoT036M.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VoT036M.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .....the Son's of Samoa come running to his rescue. He says that he's been sitting around with his thumb up his ass for too long recently....he wants to be the next WWF Champion, but he's not going to get title shots without matches under his belt.....he says to mark this day on your calendar, because this is the date that Ahmed's career was reborn.....and anyone that gets in his way....is going down.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cxFuo6U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cxFuo6U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="w3aaloG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/w3aaloG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We head to the back, where Bret and Owen are with Davey Boy Smith in the trainers room, where medical personnel are tending to the Bulldog. One of the physicians informs us that there is no way that Davey will be competing tonight....because until they get him to a hospital there is no way to determine the seriousness of his injury....and whether he is concussed or not.</p><p> </p><p> The Hart Brothers are clearly not happy about the assault. Bret says that tonight, if he and Owen have to go out there two against three with the Nation, then that's exactly what they'll do....they'll fight against the odds because that's what proud Canadians do.....and he'll fight against the odds again in two weeks time, when Summerslam rolls around, because Bret knows it won't be a fair fight....he knows that everywhere that Shawn Michaels goes, his little puppy dogs are never far behind.....he says that at Wrestlemania, he gave Shawn the benefit of the doubt....he knew that Shawn Michaels was only out for Shawn Michaels, but he didn't realise how far he would go to get what he wanted.....<em>"this time I'm ready....ready for you.....ready for Nash, Hall....ready for the whole damn KLiQ....send them in, because I'll knock them all down one by one, until it's just you and me "Boy Toy"....and then when I've finally got you alone.....I'm going to make you do what it is you do best....bitch and moan and cry.....in pain, when I make you quit to the Sharpshooter....and take back MY World Wrestling Federation Championship."</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="nNLeDLe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nNLeDLe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="Ip6t6qd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ip6t6qd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Talk about Ahmed Johnson spinning his wheels going nowhere earlier, here we see another man in much the same boat. Not that it stops them from starting off strong against the trifecta from the Nation. It's a bit of a mismatch of styles here.....as the more technical (not to mention agile in Owens case) Hart Foundation go toe to toe with the more brawling styles of Faarooq, Kama and Nelson Knight.....it made for an awkward bout in places....primarily when the big former man on a mission was in the ring. Bret can brawl with the best of them when he has to....and as we saw at In Your House, more than capable of pulling a good match out of even the most limited Big Men....but asking him to put on a clinic with Nelson Knight is obviously an ask too far. </p><p> </p><p> The Nation use their numbers advantage to take control of the match, isolating Owen....and Faarooq takes great pleasure in that, as he can use his stable mates to legally weaken his Summerslam opponent before the event. Owen fights back and is able to make the hot tag after causing Nelson to stumble through the ropes and to the outside. The Hitman gets into the match and shows the KLiQ exactly what he meant when he said that he was ready to fight against the numbers, as he battles all three Nation members alone, finally sending Kama crashing into Knight with a big Irish Whip. Owen tags back into the match and trades blows with Faarooq, who doesn't seem as confident as he did earlier, especially with Knight down and out on the floor and Kama battling the Hitman on the outside, leaving him alone with Owen. Unfortunately for the Harts, not content with having the one man advantage, it's Scorpio, the illegal man that makes the difference.....because with the official distracted by the action on the outside, Scorpio nails Owen in the back with a steel chair, just as he's bouncing off the ropes. Faarooq seizes his opponent as quick as a flash and finishes him off with a Dominator for the somewhat (considering they DID have the man advantage) upset victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The Nation of Domination</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="j24FAoX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="P4qW3WS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/P4qW3WS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We come back from commercial break to find Jim Cornette and his band of (two) (un)merry men standing in the middle of the ring. They proceed to cut much the same promo as last week, calling the Undertaker a liar....a murderer.....vowing pain from Mankind at Summerslam....and even worse from Kane when THEY decide the time is right. Cornette has never cut a dull promo in his life....and Mankind has seen his verbal abilities transcend his managers is recent months, which means this is a good segment.....but it gets better when the talking stops.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eX846RT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eX846RT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YMPG1tH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YMPG1tH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......because the Hardys again hit the ring looking for revenge. They've obviously learned from last week, because this time they come armed with chairs. They crash the steel weapons over the skulls of both Kane and Mankind.....and while Mankind has to shake the blow off, Kane just stands there unaffected. They swing again......and again, getting the same result each time.....they go to swing once more, but Kane's arms snap out and clutch the two youngsters around the throat. Mankind arranges the chairs into a seating position and places them on the mat behind each Hardy....and with Jim Ross crying out that <em>"if that big red monster hits those two young men with the Chokeslam now, he's going to break their damn backs."</em> It looks like that's exactly what he's planning though, because he braces is legs and prepares to lift........</p><p> </p><p> <strong>..........!!!GONG!!!..........</strong></p><p> </p><p> ......when the lights go out......</p><p> </p><p> <strong>..........!!!GONG!!!..........</strong></p><p> </p><p> .......and the crowd erupts......</p><p> </p><p> <strong>..........!!!GONG!!!..........</strong></p><p> </p><p> .......as the lights come back on......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......and The Undertaker is stood face to face with his brother. Being that this is an Undertaker segment, Jim Cornette is inexplicably down.....Mankind is down.....the Hardy's are down.......Kane however, is most definitely not. Each man takes one big step forward, until they are mere inches away from each other, eyes locked on dead masked eyes. They stand like this for a few moments, while the noise from the crowd gets louder and louder, before Kane suddenly and abruptly takes four steps backwards and does that impressive 360 degree rotation over the top rope to the floor. He reaches into the ring to drag his manager to safety, just as Mankind rolls out after him and the demons retreat to the back, leaving the Deadman to drop to one knee, posing for the crowd, as we head to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> And in the back we find Dok Hendrix, ready for his next interview segment....his guests? The Steiner Brothers. Your basic angry Steiner promo here....they tell Austin, Pillman, Hall and Nash, that at Summerslam, both teams are going to find out that the Steiner Brothers are the real deal....Scott is eager to get his hands on Austin again, and Rick, he'll have been waiting almost a month when Summerslam finally rolls around, so he can get his hands on the KLiQ....<em>"for three days and thirty nights</em> (eh?) <em>I've been counting down the minutes....Scott Hall, Kevin Nash.....you kicked my ass in June....you kicked my ass in July....in thirteen days, I'm gonna tear a chunk outta yours.....but tonight, Scotty here is gonna tenderise Kevin Nash good.....because this Dog Faced Gremlin likes his meat soft."</em> Rick then proceeds to bark, while Scott warns Psycho Sid and the Million Dollar Man, to keep their noses out of the Steiner Brothers business, before he puts his fist straight through their face.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg"></a><img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="LjBLTcA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LjBLTcA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg"></a> VS. <img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg"></a></p><p> </p><p> A half preview of our WWF Tag Title bout at Summerslam here, as we have one half of each competing team, facing off in a triple threat match.....Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Stone Cold Steve Austin, arguably the main men of each pairing, so a victory here would provide some massive momentum going into Summerslam's Title match. </p><p> </p><p> All three men are accompanied by their respective partners, so it makes for quite the crowded ringside area.....although Scott Hall does spend a good portion of his time lingering around the announce desk, bothering Jerry Lawler. Austin and Steiner have developed quite the rivalry over the last few weeks and months, off the back of both men's recent rise to the top of the card....and Kevin Nash is happy to stand back and watch the two men tear each other apart, even leaning against the turnbuckles, miming smoking an imaginary cigarette at one point.....it doesn't last too long though....as while Steiner and Austin have a problem with each other, they have equally....if not more of a problem with the KLiQ....and the two men briefly team up on the big man, pounding the crap out of him in the corner.</p><p> </p><p> And so it continues from there, the crowd is completely into this one, and if it's any indication of what's in store for us at Summerslam, we should be in for one hell of a match. The match breaks down even further on the floor, where inevitably the partners begin battling with each other, as Rick makes a beeline for Hall, before Pillman joins in on the action.....suddenly however we have a new arrival.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......as Psycho Sid's seven foot frame comes ambling to the ring, nailing Rick Steiner in the back of the head with a big boot, before dragging the Steiner Brother back up the aisle way and towards the locker rooms. Scott sees this and rushes to his brothers aid, leaving Austin and Nash alone in the ring.....and the official thoroughly distracted.....distracted enough that he doesn't see the fact that Nash has procured one of the WWF Tag Team Titles.....nor does he see Nash nail Steve Austin right between the eyes with the belt, as for the second time tonight a KLiQ member sullies a WWF Championship by using it as a weapon.....he does however see Nash make the cover....and counts the one, two, three.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Kevin Nash</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LjBLTcA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LjBLTcA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With a fallen Austin and an outnumbered Pillman at the mercy of Hall and Nash, Scott Steiner looks back at the ring, before turning to see his brother being dragged away by Psycho Sid....he turns back again to see the KLiQ advancing on Brian Pillman, considers heading back to the ring, then changes his mind, waving his hands at them, saying <em>"f##k it, kick his ass, I don't care"</em> far too close to the camera's microphone for Vince's comfort, who apologises profusely for the profanity. Scott runs backstage to look for his brother, just as Hall and Nash pounce on Brian Pillman.</p><p> </p><p> Pillman is a scrappy little b#####d....but the KLiQ are a pair of vicious sons of bitches....and they beat the snot out of the Loose Cannon. Austin fights to his feet a number of times, but with each attempt he is dropped by either Hall or Nash....and before long both he and Pillman are a broken mess on the mat. Hall motions to the back and Sean Waltman comes running down the aisle, along with Justin Credible. They roll into the ring and each hand one of the Champions a can of what looks like black spray paint. They bend over their fallen opposition and our suspicions are confirmed, as they proceed to spray the word KLiQ across the backs of both Austin and Pillman in the black paint.</p><p> </p><p> The cans are dropped to the mat and Hall and Nash both stand tall over two of the four men they will be facing at Summerslam, as they raise the WWF Tag Team Titles high in the air and celebrate with Waltman and Credible as the show comes to a close.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>A rather mediocre edition of WCW Monday Nitro, which saw WCW Champion Ric Flair go to a double DQ with Big Bubba Rogers of all people, meant that once again Vince got the ratings win that he wanted....they did better this week, scoring a 15.38.....but then we did better too, meaning our 16.27 was enough to give us the victory.....tell me again why we are the number two promotion? Because according to the ratings we are number one with a bullet. </p><p> </p><p> No major news this week really.....Kevin Nash came up with a new catchphrase, you can expect to see the "2 Sweet" shirts on your merchandise stands soon.....Ed Lesley, the former Barber and current collection of star-signs, the Zodiac inked a new deal with WCW.....unsurprisingly they didn't have any competition from us.....we however have had a bit of competition from them where Goldust is concerned. The Bizarre One's contract is coming up and Bischoff has already swooped in and offered him a deal. Our negotiations are ongoing but I'm hoping we can keep him aboard. Dustin has done an amazing job with the character he was given and has really elevated Young Chris Jericho's stock during their recent programme....id be sorry to lose him but WCW have a lot of money to throw around. Now we aren't exactly in the poor house anymore.....in fact Shawn Michaels promo on Raw was half shoot, half work, because since the KLiQ came into power on TV we have an extra $12 000 000 in the bank.....twelve million! In less than six months......but that doesn't mean we can just throw money around.....Hall and Nash already set the bar high, I can't let Dustin Rhodes set it even higher.</p><p> </p><p> In other scraps of news, Rugged Ronnie Garvin, former NWA Champion decided to hang up the boots for good this week as he announced his retirement. Truthfully I can't say I was ever a fan, Garvin bored the hell out of me, but more power to him for retiring with his health in tact.......oh, Dennis Stamp retired too.....apparently because he wasn't booked.</p><p> </p><p> We have one more episode of Monday Night Raw, then it's time for the hottest event of the summer.....Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 3, August 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> The Hart Foundation (Bret & Owen) vs. The KLiQ (HBK & HHH)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Chris Jericho vs. Billy Gunn</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs Justin Bradshaw</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Al Snow vs ???</p><p> (Who is ???....FYI, it's not Abyss)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Matt Hardy vs Mankind</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>
