To say he'd been banged up a little the last week would be an understatement. Between getting busted open by the WWF Title at Wrestlemania and utterly destroyed last week by a vicious KLiQ beat down, Hart has definitely seen better days.....he's here though....and clearly has something on his mind as he climbs into the ring.</p><p> </p><p> He tells the crowd that for four months, he proudly came out here, week in and week out and defended the top prize in the business with honour and respect....despite the fact that his character was questioned....despite the fact that his allegiances with Kevin Nash were questioned.....despite the fact that Shawn Michaels went out of his way to concoct an intricate plan to steal away the WWF World Title....he still came out here and gave it his all. Unfortunately, he says, even your all is never going to be enough when you're fighting against three men who will do anything to get what they want.</p><p> </p><p> He says that while Shawn Michaels came out here every week, kissing the fans and playing the good guy....he was in the back there making life hell for all the boys. He and his band of degenerates have bitched and moaned, stamped their feet and pouted at anything that didn't go their way, so it comes as no shock that their true colours have finally been revealed for all to see. Bret says that last week, he came out....like a man....and challenged the KLiQ to a fair fight.....a fair fight that never came, Bret says he'll be the first to admit that he got his ass kicked last week.....but it took three men to do it.....he says that tonight, he's either really brave or really stupid....because he's challenging them again.....any one of those three scumbags....get down here....and fight him man to man.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Well that's not the KLiQ....it is however the WWF World Tag Team Champions, The Steiner Brothers. The climb into the ring and tell the Hitman that "man to man, ain't gonna happen with those three" Scott tells Bret that they are nothing but a bunch of cowards that like to go around jumping people from behind and using their numbers to beat down people 3 on 1.....but that's not going to happen tonight....because the Steiner Brothers have a score to settle with the KLiQ....so why don't we make that a six man tag team match?</p><p> </p><p> Bret says that's fine by him....he just wants a piece of the KLiQ...and having the Steiner Brothers watching his back sounds even better.....if the KLiQ have the guts to come out and actually have a fair fight....three on three....well the Hitman and The Steiner's will be out here waiting.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="CFe97xQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CFe97xQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="Rs7TafS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rs7TafS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> There's a quick highlight package before we get to the action here, showing the events as they unfolded last week, from the 123 Kid quitting the Million Dollar Corporation, to Tatanka being beaten down by Sid and subsequently fired by Ted DiBiase....it lasts long enough for Zip to get to the ring and finishes just as the theme music of the Native American Tatanka starts to play, and the now former Corporation Member makes his way down the aisle.</p><p> </p><p> Tatanka gets a half decent pop....nothing spectacular, but then I guess when the only reason you turned baby face is because the other heels didn't want you, it's going to take the fans a bit of time to warm to you. Zip on the other hand gets even less of a reaction....to say he's been in a slump since the "Injury" of his partner would be an understatement....and tonight's no difference. The Native American makes short work on his opponent, delivering a number of tomahawk chops, before finishing off Zip with the End of the Trail for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Tatanka</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="CFe97xQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CFe97xQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With a relatively easy victory in the bag, Tatanka picks up a microphone. He addresses the crowd, telling them that he wants to apologise for his actions whilst an active member of the Million Dollar Corporation. He says that he let the fans down....let himself down....and disgraced the heritage of his ancestors. He says that from this day forward, he vows to put an end to Ted DiBiase and his Corporation....and since Sid is the only member left, he'll start there. He says Sid might be as tall as a mighty redwood....but with the blood of his ancestors flowing through his veins, Tatanka feels as tall as the highest mountain (Tatanka is a s##t promo....he could really use a manager....oh, wait, that didn't work out so well for him.) He finishes his little rant with his patented screaming, yodelling, yapping screeching noise and skips off to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="KMJ08GR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KMJ08GR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zEp3Eup.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zEp3Eup.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Following the excitement that is a Tatanka promo, we head to the back where Billy and Bart Gunn appear to be in a rather heated discussion. Bart is taking his partner to task for his actions at Wrestlemania, telling him that they are a team.....and when one of the team is in trouble, his partner is there to watch his back....whatever the cost. Bart says there is nothing that he wouldn't do to protect Billy....and they have lost plenty of matches in the past where Billy Gunn has been the one with his shoulders pinned to the mat....what they do is pick themselves up, dust themselves down....and move on stronger than ever, succeeding where they failed before. Billy listened to the speech with a rather sheepish look on his face, saying that he may have over reacted at Wrestlemania....but it was only because it WAS Wrestlemania, he got caught up in the heat of the moment and he apologises for his actions, telling Bart that he's right....they do dust themselves off....and by his reckoning, that makes it Smoking Gunns one, Texas Long Riders one....seems to him like they need a third and final match to settle the score.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We go back to the live arena, where Dok Hendrix is standing by. He begins by introducing a "personal favourite of mine....one of the real highlights of the Light Heavyweight division.....which is probably why he's your current WWF Light Heavyweight Champion.....Lionheart, Chris Jericho."</p><p> </p><p> Jericho is all smiles as he makes his way down the aisle, slapping hands with the fans as he proudly shows off his Championship belt. He gets into the ring and shakes hands with Dok, who proceeds to interview the Champ. He tells Jericho that he had a great title defence last week against Chavo Guererro....what's next? </p><p> </p><p> Jericho says that depends on who walks down that aisle....he says that he said last week that will defend this title against the best of the best from all over the world....no exceptions.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Looks like we have someone who wants to take him up on that offer...as the 123 Kid makes his way down the aisle. He climbs into the ring and offers Jericho his hand, the Champion accepts and The Kid takes the mic. He tells the crowd that he joined the Million Dollar Corporation six months ago, thinking that Ted DiBiase would be the man to lead him to Championships and glory....turns out all he actually lead him to, was jumping people when their backs were turned and interfering in other people's business. The Kid says that from here on in, he's going to do things the right way....his way....and if Jericho would do him the honour, he would appreciate a shot at that gold belt around his waist. </p><p> </p><p> Jericho tells The Kid that first of all, he would like to thank him for the assist last week.....and second of all, if he wants a shot at the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, it's his....any time, any place.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> "Woah, woah, woah, woahhhh....." looks like the former Champion has something to say, as Scorpio makes his way out from the back....accompanied....by the hulking form that is Kama. "The only person who's getting a shot at that title around here....is me." He tells Jericho that "one fluke, doesn't a champion make." Scorpio says he's beat Lionheart on numerous occasions...AND....as the former Champion, he's entitled to a rematch...."so Kid....you're at the back of the line....because I'm not going to stop until I get that gold belt back around my sexy waist." He tells Jericho that whether it's this week, next week....or four weeks from now, that titles coming back to the Nation one way or another. </p><p> </p><p> Jericho goes to answer, but the Kid stops him, whispering something in his ear. The cameras don't catch what he says, but the Champion obviously likes it, because he breaks out into a huge grin.....he tells Scorpio that there are a mountain of challengers out there....and he plans on defending this title against each and every one of them....so Scorpio can get his rematch....at In Your House.....but it'll be the last time they face each other....because whether Scorpio wins....or he wins.....there will be no rematch....and it'll be time for a new challenge.......oh....and since he's here....and the Kids here.....and Scorpio and Kama are here.....why don't we have a little tag team match, right now?</p><p> </p><p> Scorpio says that sounds good to him, Kama and him will soften him up a little bit right now.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's the Nation vs Chris Jericho and The Kid.....in theory the Nation have the advantage here, Scorpio and Kama know each other far better than Jericho and the Kid do.....not to mention the fact that Kama is the size of both his opponents combined....and he does has fun tossing the Kid around like a rag doll. Not that it's a one sided affair by any means, Jericho fares much better against the Supreme Fighting Machine, and both he and the Kid get their licks in on Scorpio.</p><p> </p><p> Jericho gets caught by the big man after a big cross body attempt from the top, and gets driven to the mat hard with a powerslam, which gives the Nation the advantage.....you'd think Jericho would have had enough of getting punished by the Nation by now....but as usual he takes his beating like a star, before finally managing to make the hot tag to the Kid, who flys into the ring like a man on fire. He sends Scorpio flying to the outside with a big spinning wheel kick, before heading up top. He comes flying off with a moonsault attempt....Kama however is up on his feet and catches the man in mid air. Scorpio pulls Jericho off the apron down to the floor, just as Kama hits the Kid with a huge shoulder breaker, which is enough to give the Nation the three count.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> Scorpio and Kama</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Scorpio tosses Jericho back into the ring, sliding in behind him with a steel chair in tow. He waits for the Light Heavyweight Champion to struggle to his feet, before swinging the chair hard........straight into the head of the 123 Kid.....the Kid had thrown himself in front of the chair, taking the hit himself for Jericho. Seemingly pleased enough that he hit SOMEONE with the chair, Scorpio and Kama exit the ring and start walking to the back, while Jericho tends to the Kid. Slowly the Kid starts to come around, so Jericho grabs a mic from ringside. He yells at Scorpio that he's nothing but a coward.....he tells him he will get his Title match at In Your House.....but so will the Kid....because Jericho is going to give them BOTH a shot at the gold....in the first ever elimination three way dance.</p><p> </p><p> Scorpio doesn't like the sound of that....especially since both men will be gunning for him now....The Kid on the other hand doesn't even realise the opportunity that's been handed to him, he's still recovering from the chair shot. Jericho drops the mic and goes back to check on the Kid as we go to commercial.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We go straight to the back following commercial, where Dok Hendrix is walking the corridor on his way to the locker room, where he tells us he is hoping to get word from Owen Hart and The British Bulldog on the actions of the KLiQ last week, where they ambushed them from behind. He turns a corner and almost walks straight into a now mask less Avatar.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> He appears to be pacing back and forward, muttering incoherently to himself. Dok stops in his tracks and asks Avatar if he's ok...before telling him that considering he's got a match against Steve Austin coming up, shouldn't he be preparing for that? Avatar doesn't seem to hear him however....in fact he seems to be hearing another voice altogether....</p><p> </p><p> ...."yes I know.....I know.....do you think I don't know that? I'll get it back........well I don't know how just yet do I........Will you stop badgering me, I'm trying to think....."</p><p> </p><p> Hendrix places his hand on Avatars shoulder which startles the man. He again asks him if he's ok.....before asking him who he was talking to. "Him" he replys "Him who?" asks Dok, confused. "Avatar.....he wants his mask back....Kevin Nash took it and he's real mad about it." Dok looks even more confused, asking if Kevin Nash dropped him on his head too hard the other week.....</p><p> </p><p> "You are Avatar" Dok tells him.</p><p> "I am?"</p><p> "Yes" </p><p> ".......are you sure?" </p><p> "YES!" </p><p> ".............I gotta go, we need to talk about this....."</p><p> </p><p> With that the confused superstar wanders out of shot, still muttering to himself. Dok still looks a little bit confused by his previous meeting with Avatar, but he carries on regardless. He remarks that after last week, it looked like they had a score to settle with Shawn Michaels and his merry men....but when the KLiQ were out there beating the snot out of Bret Hart.....your brother Owen....you seemed in two minds what to do.....gain a measure of revenge on the KLiQ, but help your brother at the same time....or stand back and do nothing, letting Michaels, Hall's and Nash's actions against you go unanswered....</p><p> </p><p> .....Owen interrupts, telling him to stop right there....he says that the KLiQ's cowardly attack against two of the WWF's most valuable attributes....Himself and Davey....is never going to go unanswered. Rest assured, we will have our revenge when the time is right....last week, the time wasn't right....and if that means that my no good brother got a bit of a beating....then oh well....as as far as Kevin Nash and Scott Hall getting the next shot at The Steiners and the WWF Tag Team Titles? It isn't happening......they might get A shot....but they won't get the NEXT shot, because that honour goes to Owen Hart and The British Bulldog....and it's happening next week.</p><p> </p><p> "Ok folks, you heard it here first....next week on Monday Night Raw, the Steiner Brothers will be putting the gold on the line, against the former champions.....back to you Vince.....wait, hold on a minute.....Owen one more question....last week when you were watching on the monitors, and the KLiQ bought that table into the ring....just before The Steiners ran out......it looked for a second like you were considering saving your brother......any comment?"</p><p> </p><p> Owen is silent for a moment before looking Dok dead in the eye and replying......you know what.....Bret might be my no good brother......but he IS still my brother.....that's my only comment."</p><p> </p><p> "Ok, then back to you Vince."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="cH2CWBn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH2CWBn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's time for Steve Austin's first WWF match as Steve Austin, not the Ringmaster.....and its Avatars first match back after Kevin Nash stole his mask. This is a tale of two men trying to discover their new identity and neither looks particularly pleased about it. Avatar spends most of the time that he isn't fighting, arguing with himself....and Austin appears to be clutching on to the Ringmaster character for all its worth, trying to mat wrestle with his clearly unbalanced opponent. It gets the the point where one Brian Pillman eventually makes his way down the aisle, shaking his head as he does. He makes it to ringside where he yells at Austin that he's "Steve Austin damnit....act like it.....act like the Austin I know you are....do what you do best." Austin replys that this is what he does best.....he's the best damn wrestler in the WWF.....bar none.....and with that he turns and grabs a hold of Avatar (who seems to be arguing with a turnbuckle) and locks in the Million Dollar Dream.....that's all it takes, Avatar go sleep sleep.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Steve Austin</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cH2CWBn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH2CWBn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Austin raises his hands in victory, and goes to leave the ring, but Pillman is in like a shot, blocking his way. Spittle and froth is soon pooling from the mouth of the helpless Bob Holly and it seems like an age before Mankind finally releases him from his death grip. It doesn't look as though it's over though, because he rolls to the outside where he picks up a steel chair. He drops the furniture in the middle of the ring and pulls an unconscious Holly to his feet, before nailing him right on the chair with a pulling piledriver......and that's when it happens......</p><p> </p><p> <strong>GONG!!!!</strong></p><p> </p><p> .....and the lights go out.....</p><p> </p><p> <strong>GONG!!!!</strong></p><p> </p><p> ......and the lights come on.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......and there stands The Undertaker....arm poised, ready to clutch Mankind by the throat and clam him to the mat.....except Mankind isn't there.....he isn't anywhere. The man himself makes his way down to ringside with his beautiful valet Sunny in toe. He gets into the ring with no real purpose it seems than to brag about his greatness. He talks about being undefeated.....although after defeating the likes of Phatu and Yokozuna, it would be nice not to have to fight the fat, sweaty masses anymore. He wants to know where the real challengers are....why are the so called "stars" of the WWF ducking him? What does he have to do to get a challenge around here.....at this rate hell have to turn to the slobs in the crowd......"although most of you smell like you haven't bathed in months.....look at that one Sunny.....(points at a fan)....fat....(and another)....greasy.....(one more)....I don't know what that is.....(points again).....wait.....(points to a fan in the front row).....there, right there.....look what we have....."</p><p> </p><p> And the camera does indeed look to see what we have.....and what we have is a familiar face to most.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wdkMubP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wdkMubP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......Helmsley tells Sunny to go and help that little guy over the guard rail, he wants to see him up close. The man doesn't need any help however....nor does he need asking twice, as he hops over the barrier and climbs into the ring to a decent pop from the crowd. Hunter remarks that these fans obviously like to see one of their own stepping through these ropes.....Sunny says he's bigger than he looked sitting down, but Helmsley says that doesn't matter. He asks the fan his name, but Sunny interupts, saying let her guess.....she sizes him up for a moment before remarking "Jimmy.....he looks like a Jimmy......no wait.....I know......it's Johnny isn't it.....he's definitely a Johnny Hunter......"</p><p> </p><p> The fan takes the mic from her, telling the pair that his name is Marc.....Marc Mero. Hunter tells Mero that he doesn't care what his name is.....in fact, now he's seen him up close and personal, he doesn't care about him at all.....Hunter thought he might have been a challenge, but judging by his scrawny arms, greasy hair.....and obvious body odour.....he's no different than everybody else.....he dismisses Mero telling him to go back to his seat and stop stinking up his ring.</p><p> </p><p> Instead of removing himself from the ring however, Mr Mero instead removes his jacket from his torso and tosses it onto the mat, before telling Helmsley that he wanted a fight? He's right here? Hunter however waves him off before demanding that security come down and remove this peasant from his ring. Realising that he's not going to get anywhere, Mero bends down to pick up his jacket.....that's when Helmsley comes at him, swinging a big right hand....Mero however sees it coming, ducks....and one swift left handed jab later, Hunter Hearst Helmsley is unconscious on the mat. </p><p> </p><p> Mero dusts himself off and collects his jacket before calmly leaving the ring, while Sunny attempts to revive her man.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's main event time here tonight.....and it's a pretty big one, as the former WWF Champion Bret Hart teams up with the WWF Tag Team Champions The Steiner Brothers, to face off against the KLiQ combination of current WWF Champion Shawn Michaels....and two men that want to be the next WWF Tag Team Champions, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.....at least we assume that's what the main event is going to be, because the KLiQ have been unusually quiet tonight....in fact they haven't been seen at all. </p><p> </p><p> The Steiner's come out first, to a good ovation from the crowd...not quite as good as the one their partner for the evening gets, but good none the less. The Hitman joins them in the ring and then we wait.....and the KLiQ's music plays.....and we wait some more.....and then the KLiQ's music stops.....and we wait again. Unfortunately for the fan favourites, those crafty KLiQsters have concocted a cunning plan, because while Hart and the Steiner's are waiting, their attention on the entrance ramp, Hall, Nash and Michaels bundle over the crowd barrier behind them, into the ring, and get the jump on their three opponents before the bell even sounds.</p><p> </p><p> With the KLiQ in the drivers from the get go, it doesn't take long for them to single out an opponent....unfortunately for Scott Steiner, that opponent is him....which suits Kevin Nash and Scott Hall just fine, since they have designs in taking those tag team championships away from him and his brother. Shawn and Nash have teamed up many times before so naturally their teamwork is excellent....and Hall has slotted right in there as if this trio had been teaming together for years, poor Scott is worked over mercilessly....and with the third man always being there to distract the official, he is double teamed repeatedly. Fortunately for his team mates, he's a resilient chap is our Scott Steiner, meaning it was only a matter of time before he found an opening to make the tag. That opening came at the expense of Shawn Michaels....because after ducking a Sweet Chin Music attempt, Steiner is able to catch HBK from behind and deliver a big German Suplex.</p><p> </p><p> He makes the tag to his brother Rick, just as Michaels tags out to Hall. Steiner explodes into the ring and hits are Bad Guy with a number of rocking blows....rocking enough that they force Kevin Nash into the match to break up the attack....which in turn brings in The Hitman....which eventually turns into a six man brawl as Scott and Michaels wind up back in there. The official is having a hell of a time trying to keep order in this one....and that's what leads to the ending of the match. Because with Michaels and Hart eventually pairing off and brawling on the outside, the referee is oblivious to Scott Steiner hoisting big Scott Hall up on his shoulders, ready for Rick to deliver that top rope bulldog. It's a bulldog that never comes though....because Nash shoves Rick off the turnbuckle, causing him to crash hard on the floor at ringside....before following that up with a hard low blow to Scotty. Steiner crumples to the mat, Hall lands on top....and the ref counts three....the KLiQ's first outing as a trio has ended in victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The KLiQ</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The match is done, the KLiQ are not....and with both Steiner's down and hurt, Bret Hart looks to be in a world of trouble. Nash and Hall deliver a Jackknife and Razors Edge to Rick and Scott respectively....before all three men turn their attention to the helpless Hitman. Once again we are treated to a split screen featuring the action as its happening in the arena....and a shot of Owen Hart and the British Bulldog watching the action unfold on a monitor backstage. Again the Bulldog appears to be trying to convince the King of Harts to get out there....but again Owen looks reluctant. The former Tag Team Champions look on as Bret is pounded by all three members of the KLiQ, at one point Davey Boy turns to presumably go make the save, but Owen grabs his arm to stop him....just as Michaels puts Bret down and out with some Sweet Chin Music. The split screen ends and we go to a full shot of the KLiQ standing over their fallen opponents, with Michaels holding the WWF Title up high over his head as the show fades to black.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>Another Monday Night Raw in the bag, another pretty positive reception from the fans. I feel like we're really getting on a roll with these shows.....and the TV audience must agree with me, because even though Nitro is still beating us in the ratings, this weeks was the closest yet, with our 14.57 only narrowly losing to their 15.03. A few months ago they were a clear 2-3 points ahead of us.....granted some of that has to do with their little "scandal" a few weeks back, but I like to think our product is part of the reason too....it probably doesn't help the fact that the inexplicably miss the majority of their big stars off Nitro on a weekly basis....Sting, Hogan, Warrior virtually never appear.....Luger and Vader pop up sporadically....the only real main event faces that appear regularly are Macho, Flair and Anderson....the main event this week for example featured Randy Savage going to a no contest with the former Big Bossman.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of WCW, they debuted a new Pay Per View event titled "Raining Blood"....The main event saw Ric Flair successfully defend the World Championship against Bossman.....after his no contest against Big Bubba on Nitro, Macho man followed that up with a loss to Arn Anderson. The Television Title had been vacant since their last champion Marc Mero jumped ship to us, inexplicably it was the One Man Gang and Ice Train squaring off for the (once) prestigious belt here, with Gang coming out on top....again no Hogan, Warrior, Luger, Vader or Sting to be seen....talk about money for nothing.....maybe that should be the name of their next event.</p><p> </p><p> But enough about them, let's discuss us. I made the mistake of asking for suggestions for a new nickname for Steve Austin, one to finally help him shake the Ringmaster stigma. Obviously "Stunning" is out of the question, but then I wanted to move away from the arrogant style of gimmick that he had in WCW anyway, I want something edgier for Steve, something that works hand in hand with Brian Pillman's "Loose Cannon"....so I wanted something along those lines....something that said he was an ice cold killer.....and I know I should be grateful to Vince Russo for keeping my little "identity crisis" to himself, but Jesus Christ....there's a reason you didn't get into the booking committee on your own merit Vinnie Ru.....do you know what his suggestions were? For an ice cold killer? Ice Dagger, Fang McFrost and Chilli McFreeze......just read them three names again and ask yourself if ANY of them sound remotely feasible.....needless to say they were wholly rejected.....if you want a job done right then do it yourself I guess. </p><p> </p><p> Considering the fact that myself and the kliq members have had more than our share of bust ups since I took this job, they are still more than happy to come to me with their (usually negative) suggestions......this week I had Hunter Hearst Helmsley telling me that Bob Holly doesn't connect with the fans...and Kevin Nash delivering the opinion that neither does Scorpio....funnily enough, that's the same Scorpio that has been getting himself over the last few months.....and the same Scorpio that got in a fight backstage with Nash's running buddy Hunter Hearst Helmsley a while back......but then I'm sure that's just coincidental, it's not like the kliq would try and hound out someone they didn't like would they. (I know you can't see it, but I was rolling my eyes as I typed that)</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of people getting the self over in the last few months, young Chris Jericho came to me asking for a small pay rise. Considering he was still getting paid at basically a jobbers rate after getting himself to a solid midcard level, it was the least I could do. It was nice to actually give someone a raise because they had eared it.....an extra three grand was enough to make Mr Jericho a very happy Lionheart. </p><p> </p><p> Another happy superstar this week was Marty Jannetty, fresh out of rehab and desperate to get back to work. Marty reassures me that he's never felt so good and this is the first time in years he's been clean and sober. I hope he stays that way, because Marty is still a good worker that I could use. One things for sure, he'll be back on TV soon....just not this week.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 3, April 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Tag Team Championship</strong></p><p> The Steiner Brothers © vs Owen Hart & The British Bulldog</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs Steve Austin </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Triple Threat Match</strong></p><p> Jerry Lynn vs Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero</p><p> </p><p> The Legion of Doom vs The Texas Long Riders</p><p> </p><p> The 123 Kid vs Kama</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

They should be in bed....its a school night, shame on you.....but they're not, because they're watching the hottest show on television....Monday Night Raw (or since we're Raw I suppose that should be the coolest show on television)</p><p> </p><p> There's a brief highlight package running down the events of last week, the KLiQ's destruction of Bret Hart and The Steiners.....as well as the trio's general reign of terror since their formation.....before we head down to the announce table, where Vince McMahon and Jim Ross welcome us to the show. Not content with a simple highlight package, these three also spend time discussing the KLiQ, before McMahon sends us to the ring, where Jerry Lawler is standing by. He doesn't have all the usual regalia of the Kings Court set however and there is none of his usual wise cracks.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HHdul53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HHdul53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> He begins by saying that if there is anyone in the WWF that enjoys seeing Bret Hart get beaten to a pulp more than him, he'd be very surprised.....he says that he can't stand the Hitman, but even he knows when a mans had enough. He says that the KLiQ have busted Hart open, beaten him down, took his title....beaten him down again. He says that the KLiQ even went so far as to assault Brets brother.....and the only Hart that he actually likes....that's the King of Harts, Owen. Lawler says that Michaels, Hall and Nash have unleashed a reign of terror on the WWF that has never been seen....and it would appear that no one is safe....but why is The King up there now? He says that it's because Jose Lothario, has requested this time, to address Shawn Michaels and his actions and choices as of late.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="YlOZ0uN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YlOZ0uN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Mr Lothario makes his way down the aisle, no music obviously....not much of a reaction at all to be fair, but he's here....and he's got something to say. Lawler tells Jose that he asked for this time, he got this time....so make the most of it. Lothario thanks the King, before saying in broken English, that he is here to personally appeal to that young boy from San Antonio that he broke into this business....the man that no one but him would take a chance on....the man that he knew would be World Champion one day....he just didn't think he would have to stoop to these lows to do it. He tells Shawn, that he was proud to call him his student....his protege....and more importantly, proud to call him his friend....but his actions as of late....they don't make him proud.....they bring him shame.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Well....that brings out the WWF Champion himself.....as usual though, Shawn Michaels is not alone. He's accompanied by his friends and stable mates, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The three men amble down the aisle way, with Michaels clutching his heart, feigning the wound and pain that Jose's words are supposed to be cutting, while Hall and Nash do their best to reassure Shawn that it's ok, they still love him. The trio enter the ring and Hall snatches the microphone from Lawler, before Nash physically moves Jerry into the corner, telling him to stand there, shut up.....and keep his opinions to himself, while Michaels takes the mic from Hall.</p><p> </p><p> Shawn asks Lothario what he thinks he's doing? He tells him that he served his purpose.....now limp your old ass home, while limping still is the worst of your problems. Jose shakes his head, telling Shawn that he deceived him....he led him to believe that Nash had drove him through that table, just like everyone else....he says he came back and agreed to train him, thinking he was helping to train a champion, not to play a pawn in his plan. Shawn looks down at the gold belt around his waist, before telling Jose that "I know your eyesight isn't what it used to be....but unless I'm mistaken, a Champion is exactly what I am.....and not just A champion....THE champion.....so your opinion, it means less than squat. I didn't need your training....you were just a little dressing on the top of OUR master plan. You were the garnish on my little white lie that made it all that much easier to swallow."</p><p> </p><p> The three men surround Lothario, before Michaels tells him that he should be grateful that the Heartbreak Kid, granted him one more moment in the spotlight....so do the right think....thank me.....and then leave. Jose shakes his head, looking at Hall and Nash and telling Shawn that he wanted to talk to him alone....to try and reason with him, without the influence of his friends, but Michaels cuts him off, telling his former mentor, to "understand this....WE are the KLiQ....if you've got something to say one ONE of us....then you've got something to say to ALL of us....I asked you nicely....now I'm telling you.....thank me......and walk away....."</p><p> </p><p> "......or don't thank him...." Interjects Nash ".....and never walk again...."</p><p> </p><p> ".....the choice is yours Chico....." Hall informs him ".....so what's it gonna be?"</p><p> </p><p> Jerry Lawler makes his way out of the corner, telling the KLiQ members that they've had their fun, let the old guy go.....but Nash turns furiously towards The King, screaming at him to keep his nose out of KLiQ business and get his ass back into that corner while he still can. Jose looks every bit his age as he stands surrounded by the three men, before Shawn suddenly breaks out into a smile. He pats his buddies on the chest telling them to back up and let him go. The trio back away and Michaels tells him to get out of here, while he's still feeling charitable. </p><p> </p><p> Obviously realising that this was a futile exercise, Jose raises his hands in surrender and turns to leave the ring.......which is exactly the moment that Shawn connects with a big dose of Sweet Chin Music, which sends Lothario crumpling to the mat. Vince and Jim Ross are shocked at the commentary table....asking if there is no low that these three won't stoop to. Even Jerry Lawler is appalled (and he's done some pretty questionable things over the years) going over to check on Shawn's fallen mentor. He doesn't check on him for long however, as Nash pulls him to a standing position by the scruff of his neck.....Michaels tells the King that they warned him to stay out of KLiQ business....and that people should really start listening to them. With that Big Sexy positions Lawlers head between his legs, before delivering a brutal Jackknife Powerbomb that leaves the King flat on his back. Not content with the level of pain they have inflicted, the trio pounce on the fallen Lawler like a pack of wolves, kicking and stomping the man to oblivion, before finally rolling both he and Jose out of the ring, where medical personnel check on them as we go to a commercial break.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We come back from commercial to our first match of the night, Vince and Ross are on commentary as they inform us first of all that The King is in the back receiving medical treatment....and secondly that this match came about at the request of the 123 Kid, who wanted another shot at Kama after tasting defeat to him in the tag team encounter last week.</p><p> </p><p> The Kid comes out first....and since severing ties with the Million Dollar Corporation, he comes out alone. The same can't be said for his opponent, who comes out with the entire Nation of Domination at his side, including the reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion Faarooq. </p><p> </p><p> This is a true showing of the little vs the large....the Kid is outweighed at the best of times, but up against Kama he is truly dwarfed. He tries to use his speed on his larger opponent, ducking and weaving and generally keeping out of arms length of the big man. He uses his martial arts skills to stun Kama with stiff kicks....even garnering a very near fall with a spinning heel kick. Eventually though the inevitable happens, and Kama is able to catch hold of the Kid, before going to work on him using his power to repeatedly crush the smaller man to the mat. The Kid does manage to fight back....and even looks as though he might pick up an upset victory against the big man. That is until Scorpio provides enough distraction at ringside that Kama is able to utilise the fact that the Kids attention is elsewhere, hitting him in the back of the head with a clubbing blow that knocks him silly and following that up with a big brainbuster, which is enough to pick up the victory for the Nation.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Kama</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2sHqNDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2sHqNDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The five Nation members climb into the ring and surround the Kid. With that Scorpio tosses The Kid to the floor and the Nation line up next to their leader. Faarooq takes a microphone and informs the crowd that in two short weeks, they're going to get to witness the falling of Ahmed Johnson. While Barry Windham is certainly no stranger to Hawk and Animal, this is Bradshaw's first taste of what these two road warriors are capable of....not that he cares, this big Texan clearly loves a fight, the more physical the better. Good job really, because this one was Physical....with a capital P. </p><p> </p><p> Both teams went at it tooth and nail....in fact Hawk looked like he nearly lost a tooth AND a nail after getting turned inside out by a big Bradshaw lariat....but he was able to make the tag to his partner and the fight raged on.....right up until Animal was able to lift big Bradshaw up onto his shoulders for Hawk to nail with the patented clothesline from the top rope for the one, two, three.....wait where was Windham? Perfect says that he's not usually one to lower his standards to talk to the "fans" but I this case he'll make an exception....because he wants to ask Marc Mero, what right he thought he had, laying a single finger on a WWF Superstar. He tells Mero that he's lucky that Hunter Hearst Helmsley didn't sue him for everything he's worth......although by the look of him he's not worth very much anyway. He tells Mero that he should stay that side of the barrier, like the rest of this moronic crowd and leave the action to the professionals.....Mero stops him there, telling him that he wasn't here last week as a fan.....he's not here tonight as a fan either. He pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and hands it to Perfect, telling him that he's here to watch the competition.....his competition.....in his new home, the World Wrestling Federation.</p><p> </p><p> Perfect looks dumbfounded as he unfolds the paperwork, which appears to be a WWF contract, signed by one Marc Mero. He asks McMahon on commentary if this is real, but Vince replys "What are you asking me for? Mero tells him it's ok, that was only a copy....the original has been on the wall in my office at home for the last two weeks. Helmsley demands to know why Mero didn't tell him that he was a WWF wrestler last week, to which the reply is "you didn't ask......but since I am a WWF wrestler......and YOU are a WWF wrestler.....why don't we do what we do......and wrestle.....say, in two weeks time, at In Your House?"</p><p> </p><p> Helmsley stammers for a moment, before regaining his composure, telling Mero to be careful what he wishes for.....there is a reason that Hunter is undefeated around here.....and he'll find that reason out first hand.....at In Your House. Austin uses various nefarious tactics to gain the upper hand, but every time he does get the upper hand he tries his best to mat wrestle the big man.....usually resulting in Ahmed powering out of some hold or other, before going back to the high impact attack. This goes on for the majority of the match....and continues until Brian Pillman makes his way to ringside, shaking his head in frustration. He yells at Austin, asking him what he's doing.....he says that the damn mat work isn't working.....fight the man.....do what you do best....."where's your fire gone? Who turned you into a p###y Steve?" Stop this s##t and punch him in the mouth." The censors are working overtime here.....I guess they don't call him the Loose Cannon for nothing. I told you to fight him....not wrestle him.....look at the size of his big head......did you really think a headlock would do it?" Austin shoves Pillman to one side and tries to walk off, but he gets pulled back.....The Loose Cannon tells him that he's going to bring the fire and the anger out of him, one way or another......and if it's not going to happen verbally, then it'll just have to be physically......and he slaps Austin across the face. Something changes in Austin's cold blue eyes.....something that we haven't seen yet here in the WWF.....but before anything can materialise from it, both men are bundled out of the way by the arrival of the Nation of Domination, who charge down the aisle and into the ring where Ahmed Johnson is still celebrating.</p><p> </p><p> All five Nation members go to work on Ahmed.....but Johnson is doing his best to fight them off, sending Nelson and Bobby Knight to the outside, followed in short order by Scorpio. Pillman yells at Austin to come on.....look at this, five against three.....you would have loved those odds a few years back....Austin just dismisses it with a wave of the hand and an "it ain't my fight" before walking off to the back, leaving Ahmed in trouble and Pillman stood there. The Loose Cannon lets out a crazy laugh, before grabbing a steel chair from under the time keeper (sending him toppling to the floor) and slides into the ring, where he introduces each Nation member to the taste of steel. These four know each other pretty well by now....having already faced off against each other twice, with the Steiner Brothers coming out on top on both occasions (although one of those times was a disqualification victory.)</p><p> </p><p> Even with two losses under their belts, Owen and Davey still come into this one their usual cocky and confident selves....well Owen anyway, but he has enough cockiness for the both. When the action gets going it's another stellar match from these two teams, with the flow of the match going pretty much the same way as the previous two encounters. Owen attacks with speed, Rick, Scott and The Bulldog utilise their power.....Owen and Davey isolate Scott, Scott manages to make the hot tag to Rick, the four men brawl.</p><p> </p><p> Then it's time to take it home....how did we get there? Well it started with Scott and the Bulldog tumbling through the ropes and on to the floor, leaving Owen to lock the Sharpshooter on Rick slap bang in the middle of the ring. Rick fights to reach the ropes for all he's worth....but just as he makes it to a fingertip away, Hart drags him back to the middle of the ring and hooks the hold even tighter. With Rick screaming in agony the bell rings and this one is over......</p><p> </p><p> ......except not the way you think....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......because Shawn Michaels had made his way down to ringside, where he proceeded to knock the British Bulldog out cold with some Sweet Chin Music......this is a disqualification folks......and while Owen and Davey win, the Steiner's retain the titles.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (via Disqualification)</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="y6o2RXS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y6o2RXS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AvJwLJZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AvJwLJZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The match is over, but the KLiQ aren't done. With Michaels standing over an unconscious Bulldog....and with Scott back in the ring beside his brother, Owen climbs onto the ring apron, looking to help out HIS brother.....in-law. So what he doesn't see, is Kevin Nash and Scott Hall hit the ring behind the Steiners....he does however hear the impact, of one Jackknife Powerbomb and one Razors Edge, as Hall and Nash put Rick and Scott out of the picture.....leaving Owen very isolated and very out numbered. At least until.......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......The Hitman comes running down the ring, steel chair in each hand, sliding into the ring. He locks eyes with his brother for a fraction of a second, before Owen lets out a subtle nod. Bret hands one of the chairs to the younger Hart....and the two brothers go back to back in a sign of unity that we haven't seen from them in years. Nash and Hall had bailed to the outside when Bret arrived with chairs, but now the KLiQ have regrouped and all three members surround the ring, Hall on the left, Nash on the right and Michaels behind. They don't appear to care about the chairs anymore as they climb onto the ring apron simultaneously, looking to take out the Harts.....of course there are only three of them, which means that the fourth side of the ring is empty.....the side facing the aisle way.....the aisle way that this man comes running down......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HHdul53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HHdul53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......it's Jerry "The King" Lawler.....he slides into the ring, also armed with a steel chair. Bret raises his weapon, ready for the imminent attack, but Lawler tells him that "I'm not here for you idiot.....I'm here for them." Indicating the KLiQ, apparently Mr Lawler is not happy with his earlier beat down. Bret looks apprehensive, but they need the numbers, so he reluctantly accepts it, as the King turns his back and completes the steel chair triangle in the centre of the ring.....Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Jerry Lawler.....back to back to back.....Jim Ross is screaming on commentary that "Hell must have indeed frozen over.....did you ever....in your wildest dreams....believe you would see these three men, in this position.....back to back and ready to fight." McMahon can't help himself, and has to remind us that "anything can happen in the WWF." (Way to kill the mood Vince.</p><p> </p><p> The KLiQ look at each other and decide that three against three isn't so appealing.....especially when the other three have weapons.....and decide that they have had enough fun for one evening, they're going to the back.....or the bar probably.....but either way they're leaving. They just about make it to the exit when Lawlers voice stops them in their tracks....he's picked up a microphone and tells them that....</p><p> </p><p> "......you know you've p####d off The King, when he has to stoop so low as to help out Bret Hart.....I can't stand this guy.....but what you three did to me earlier? That was a step too far.....and I know that we have a Pay Per View coming up.....and I know I'm supposed to be announcing on the show......but I won't be.....because I just came from the office of WWF President, Gorilla Monsoon......and in two weeks.....at In your House.....it's going to be Jerry "The King" Lawler.....going one on one with Shawn Michaels, for the WWF Championship.....and I'm going to show you why, they call me The King."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

There was good news and bad this week coming out of Monday Night Raw, the positive being that out rating continues to grow, while Nitro's continues to slip, with this week being the closest yet. We came in at a healthy 14.67, which Nitro countered with a 14.84, the smallest gap yet with Bischoff and his parade of pensioners only coming out on top by .17 of a point......and that was with Hogan in the main event for the first time in I don't know how long, Eric must be getting worried to be breaking out the big guns.....although I'm not sure on his logic of having The Taskmaster go over on The Hulkster....and I've even more surprised that Hogan agreed to it. The other news is that we are no longer losing the National battle to WCW......now usually this would be good news, but the reason we are no longer losing the National battle is because World Championship Wrestling is no longer classed as a National company.....they done gone International. I've got to be honest it's a bit of a kick in the teeth, because while we close the gap in the ratings, they go ahead and change the game by growing even bigger as a company......needless to say Vince isn't pleased.

Neither are the USWA, because due to their increase in size, WCW have offered a number of contracts out to new workers.....they have already signed Jessie Ventura, Paul Roma, former Headshrinker Samu and Bam Bam Bigelow (that last one stings a little because I'd had him shortlisted to come in for a while now and just never pulled the plug on offering him a contract) they have also offered a contract to the former Adam Bomb....I have put a counter offer in because I'd had him shortlisted for a while too.....but more importantly they have offered a contract to Jeff Jarrett. I really don't want to lose old Double J, he has the potential to be a real break out star for us one day and I'm not the only one to think so, pretty much everyone in creative has him pegged for glory. So naturally I wanted to counter with a written offer of our own, as Jeff had been working on a Pay Per Appearance basis, as per our agreement with the USWA. Unfortunately this meant I had to terminate the working agreement that we had in place because I wasn't legally able to offer Jeff a written deal any other way. At the minute Jeff is still considering both offers, I hope he signs with us, but I'm not particularly confident, especially with WCW's recent growth.....we shall see though, Jeff is in action this week on Monday Night Raw....it may well be the last time we see him.

As the screen fades to black we come to the live arena where the ring is set up ready for an edition of the Kings Court. The regal music starts to play as our host makes his way to the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HHdul53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HHdul53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Lawler climbs into the ring and welcomes every one to a very special edition of the Kings Court, he says that he's interviewed everyone that's anyone over the years, but he's never been more excited about a guest before as he is tonight....."because tonight, I get to interview one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.....a former multi time world champion....a future world champion, a man that's seen and done everything there is to do in this great business.....ladies and peons please welcome.......ME! Hahahahaa"</p><p> </p><p> Lawler lets out his signature hyena cackle, before composing himself and continuing. He says that last week, much like Jim Ross said on commentary, hell did indeed freeze over...."because Shawn Michaels, you and your little KLiQ did the impossible, you managed to make me hate someone MORE than I hate Bret Hart.....in fact you made me hate someone so much, that I was forced to go against every instinct I have....come down to this ring.....and stand side by side next to the Hitman, ready to fight....and if I didn't already hate you before, making me side with Bret Hart is enough to put you on the Kings bad side for the rest of your life.....because usually, the only thing I like more than seeing Bret Hart get his smug face ground into that mat, is when I'm the one doing the grinding.....but you three morons, you've left a bad taste in the mouth that even MY royal palate can't stand.....and if that wasn't bad enough, then you have the audacity to place your hands on ME? And not just you Shawn, no you didn't even have the nerve to come at me one on one, all three of you idiots decided to jump me like a pack of wild dogs....well I guarantee that it'll be the last thing you ever do, because in six short days, I'm going to put an end to that boyhood dream of yours....I'm going to put you down, put you out.....and I'm going to take that WWF Championship from around your waist....you made the biggest mistake of your life last week on RAW and at In Your House, the King is going to make you pay."</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Looks like the King is going to have a guest in his court after all, as the Hitman's music signals his arrival to the arena. Bret makes his way down the aisle and into the ring where he and Lawler go face to face for a moment, before Hart finally breaks the tension, taking a microphone and addressing the King. He tells Lawler that Hell may have indeed frozen over last week.....but if it didn't then it's sure going to tonight...."Lawler, it's no secret that I don't like you and you don't like me.....and I certainly don't trust you as far as I can throw you....but I trust Shawn Michaels and his little band of Degenerates even less than that. The three of them have been playing games with my career for the past six months.....they made people question my morals, my character and my abilities....and finally they screwed me out of the WWF Title.....at In Your House, you have a shot at that title.....and you won't win."</p><p> </p><p> Lawler goes to argue the fact, but Hart interrupts him....</p><p> </p><p> "Not because you're not capable....but because wherever Shawn Michaels goes, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are never far behind....so I'm offering this.....and it's good for one night only....you watched my back last week....at In Your House, if you want it....I'll be in your corner....and I'll watch yours?"</p><p> </p><p> Bret offers the King his hand and Lawler looks down at it suspiciously....he tells Bret that he's right about one thing, "I can't stand you.....but I'm also not stupid.....I'll accept your offer.....but if you try and screw me over, it'll be the last thing you do."</p><p> </p><p> Hart and Lawler then exchange the most awkward handshake known to man, the King even goes so far as to wipe his hand clean on his tights afterwards. Bret shakes his head when he sees this, but he hasn't finished talking. He addresses his brother next, talking directly into the camera. He tells Owen that they have been at each other's throats for the best part of two years now......"and where has it got us? Owen this all started because you were under the impression that I thought I was better than you....or never looked at you as anything other than Bret Harts little brother.....when nothing could be further from the truth. I've never viewed you as anything other than my equal....and I was never prouder, than when my brother Owen came to the World Wrestling Federation....there is nothing that I have done in this business, that you don't have the ability to do as well. Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall....this KLiQ....they want a war.....they're going to get a war.....and I know that I can count on people like Rick and Scott, the Steiner's....but if I'm going to war, I can't think of anyone I would rather have by my side.....than my brother, Owen Hart. Owen, we need to put this family feud to bed, once and for all.....I love you...and I'm asking you to fight by my side, in this war against the KLiQ."</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Speaking of the KLiQ, that brings them out. They walk out to the top of the aisle way, embracing each other and wiping away mock tears before breaking out in laughter. Michaels tells Bret that that's very touching, but it's going to take more than his "itty bitty baby brother and his muscle bound moron of a partner to stop the KLiQ." He tells Hart that he can come out here and offer his services around to whoever he wants....but the fact of the matter is that he shouldn't be going around making offers that he can't uphold....because Bret.....you might not even make it through the night, let alone make it to In Your House.....and as for you Lawler.....you just made the biggest mistake of your life......"this ain't Memphis....and you're not the big fish in a little pond.....this is the WWF....and you're nothing more than a little guppy surrounded by big bad sharks....now fortunately for you, Monkey Man Monsoon in the back there, has decreed in his infinite wisdom, that there's a teeny tiny chance, that Me, Kev and Scott here, we might have taken it upon ourselves, to make sure that YOU don't make it to In Your House either....so he's put a little clause in the contract, that if we harm one hair on your head, between now and bell time on Sunday....that not only will he strip me of this title, but in a gross misuse of power....he will automatically award it to you."</p><p> </p><p> The King breaks out in a huge smile at that news and he drops to the outside where he picks up a steel chair, but Kevin Nash stops him in his tracks.</p><p> </p><p> "Woah there skippy....before you get all chair happy, you didn't hear the rest of that clause......see yes, if we lay a sweet KLiQ style beat down on you, Shawn loses the strap and it goes to you.....BUT.....but.....if you so much as breathe that rancid breath of yours on either myself, Shawn or Scott.....not only do you forfeit your shot at the title on Sunday......but you will NEVER.....get a shot at the WWF Title again.....now how do you like them apples?" Nash hands the microphone back to Shawn, who tells Lawler that "I'll see you on Sunday, King.......and Bret.....well, WE'LL probably see you a lot sooner than that.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="WQovKz9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WQovKz9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's match time here on Monday Night Raw, and we're set to see some big men beating the snot out of each other.....as the man that wants to make a difference, Phatu, goes one on one against Jim Cornette's as yet un-named doomsday machine. Phatu is under fire from the beginning, as seemingly nothing that he hits his opponent with seems to have any effect. Right hands rock the big man, but after each blow his head snaps straight back to focus on the big Samoan, as he stalks him around the ring. Phatu puts on the best showing that he can, but he doesn't even manage to make this seven foot monster leave his feet.....in fact the only time that Cornette's weapon of mass destruction finds himself on the mat, is when he makes the cover for the three count, following a hellacious Chokeslam. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Cornette's Monster</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="j24FAoX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With the victory in the bag, Jim Cornette gets on the microphone and begins running down Yokozuna, telling him that what he saw here tonight, is just a small taste of what is in store with him at In Your House....he says that "as you can see by that fat waste of space Samoan on the floor down there.....no matter how big you are....no matter how bad you think you are.....you will go up for the Chokeslam.....and you will go down for the three count......"</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0LQdZos.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0LQdZos.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Apparently Yokozuna doesn't want to wait for Sunday night, because here he comes. The monster attacks the big man as he's entering the ring however, and proceeds to rain blows on the (very wide) back of the former World Champion. Yokozuna fights through the pain however, and powers himself back to his feet where he is able to whip the monster hard into the turnbuckles, before squashing the life out him with a big corner splash. The big seven footer staggers out of the corner, but still doesn't go down. Yoko charges again, this time clotheslining his soon to be opponent right over the top rope.....but even THAT doesn't put him down, because this Monster lads right on his feet (just like the Undertaker....how bizarre) This monster doesn't look like he's ready to quit however and goes to re-enter the ring.....the only thing that stops him is the instructions of his manager, who orders his charge to the back, telling him that he can finish the job on Sunday.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We go backstage where Dok Hendrix is standing by with Avatar. Barry is out first, and he has his tag team partner Justin Bradshaw with him. Billy is next out.....Bart follows him out as well, but before the pair can make their way down to the ring, Billy stops his partner in his tracks and tells him to go to the back. Bart protests, saying that Windham has Bradshaw out there and Billy needs someone to watch his back, but Gunn states that he doesn't need anyone to watch his back....."especially a liability like you....go to the back." Bart reluctantly agrees, but not before telling his partner that he's making a mistake.</p><p> </p><p> The match itself is pretty good, but Billy could definitely have used his partner out there to counter act the interference that Bradshaw constantly took part in....Billy held his own one on one, but Windham was constantly able to gain the upper hand thanks to his partner on the outside. Eventually Bart Gunn has seen enough, and despite Billy's instructions he can't let Bradshaw carry on with his actions and he comes running down to ringside, laying into the illegal Texan with rights and lefts. With the official distracted by this outside action, Billy slides to the outside where he picks up a steel chair, sliding back into the ring and nailing Big Barry straight in the head. He tosses the weapon, just as the referee turns around to see Gunn making the cover. If Snow and Montoya are able to do the unthinkable here and pick up the win, then Al? Avatar? Whoever.....the guy that talks to himself gets his mask back. No such stipulation for Aldo, he's just looking for revenge.</p><p> </p><p> Snow starts the match....and he starts out strong, surprising Hall with the early flurry of offence that forced him back to his corner, where he tags in the big man. Nash is momentarily stunned as Al goes straight at him, but it's not long before he's managed to over power his opponent and he and Hall then take their time inflicting damage on the confused youngster. Montoya hasn't seen one second of offence in this one, and it looks as though he's not going to as Snow is beaten to a pulp, but that doesn't stop him from going mad on the ring apron, pleading with Snow to just make the tag. </p><p> </p><p> Hall positions Snow for the Razors Edge, signalling that this one is over, but he's too near to the ropes and Al is able to reverse the hold and backdrop him straight over the top and to the floor. Before he can deliver it though, Montoya stops him, telling him to lay him on the table. Nash shrugs his shoulders and rolls the broken Snow on top of the wooden structure. Aldo climbs to the top rope, before telling Nash to "watch this" and sailing through the air with a big splash that drives Al's already broken body through the table in an explosion of wood splinters. He says that he formed the Nation for one reason and one reason only.....and that's to show "the man" that the world isn't going to be run their way anymore....he says that this Intercontinental Championship around his waist is a perfect representation of that.....because since its inception in 1979, Faarooq is the first African American to hold this title....that's seventeen years....."and I'm proud to be the man to break that streak." He then addresses Ahmed Johnson, telling him that instead of competing against him for this title, he should be stood beside him in this ring.....but no, "the man" wants to make sure that we're not United.....and unlike these enlightened souls that stand with me in the Nation, you're just to ignorant to see it.</p><p> </p><p> He goes on to tell Ahmed to cancel any plans on being the second African American to hold the Intercontinental Championship, because the belt is going nowhere. It's the Sharpshooter vs the Figure Four, with both men working the legs of their opponent....in the end though it's the Sharpshooter that comes out on top, because as Jarrett goes for a dropkick, Hart is able to catch hold of him in mid air and turn him over into the submission hold, right in the middle of the ring, giving Double J no choice but to give up.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Bret Hart</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Bret gets up on the corner to celebrate his victory.....but it's a short lived celebration, because it's not long until the KLiQ make their presence felt. They walk slowly down the aisle and climb into the ring, surrounding Hart. Jarrett sees this and rapidly slides out of the ring and heads to the back out of harms way. Michaels can be heard telling Bret that they warned him that he wouldn't make it to In Your House. Lawler stands to his feet at the commentary table, removing his headset, but Nash tells him to sit down unless he wants to lose his shot at the title. Reluctantly Jerry has little choice but to stand back and watch what's about to unfold......and what's about to unfold is an almighty beating for the Hitman, as all three KLiQ members attack at once. Bret fights them off as best he can, but it's three against one.....or is it?</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="y6o2RXS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y6o2RXS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AvJwLJZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AvJwLJZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Remarkably it's Owen Hart and the British Bulldog that make the save, hitting the ring hard and going toe to toe with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash respectively, leaving Bret and Shawn to battle it out. The crowd goes mad as the Hart contingency gains the upper hand, finally sending the KLiQ bailing to the outside and back up the aisle. Shawn shouts at Bret that this isn't over, but he's got a title match to prepare for....unlike Bret....before the trio disappear to the back. </p><p> </p><p> Bret turns to face his brother and brother in-law. The three men stare each other down for a moment, before Bret slowly offers his hand to Owen. Owen looks down at the peace offering for a second, before slapping it away. Bret looks disappointed and a chorus of boo's ring out through the arena.....but in a blink of an eye it all changes, as Owen takes a step forward and wraps his arms around his big brother. Bret reciprocates and the crowd erupts as the two brothers embrace, finally putting an end to their two year long feud. Bret breaks off the hug long enough to reconcile with Davey Boy and the show comes to a close with the Hart clan stood raising each other's hands in the middle of the ring in front of a rabid cheering crowd.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

Really enjoying this, you do a really good job of capturing each guy's different voice and character and the booking itself is great too. I like how you've found interesting, different ways to get to certain points, like Austin's character change, the Hart Foundation forming and the red and black guy's debut.

Oh Marty, Marty, Marty.....less than a week of being fresh out of rehab, full of promises and positive fresh starts, Marty Jannetty turned up to his first episode of Monday Night Raw drunk out of his silly little mind. Luckily he wasn't booked on the show, because he was in absolutely no condition to perform. He's been shipped straight back to rehab, but I can only put up with so much, that's strike number two, there won't be a number three.

On a more positive note both Jeff Jarrett and the former Adam Bomb, Bryan Clarke have signed written deals with us.....as has Jerry Lawler. Lawler wasn't much of a surprise but both Clarke and Jarrett signing really surprised me....especially Jarrett who had a really good offer on the table from WCW.....their signings came as slightly less of a surprise however when the latest news from World Championship Wrestling came through.

Fresh of their size increase from a nation company to international.....one week and one episode of Monday Nitro later and they have fallen straight back down to National. It probably didn't help that their first Nitro on an International scale featured a bunch of scrubs. No Hogan, Flair, Sting, Warrior, Luger or Vader.....i'm pretty sure Jeff Jarrett saw the writing on the wall and knew that even if he did sign for the competition, he would have rarely got any TV time if even the highest earners are rarely featured.....I'm not really sure what Bischoff is doing over their, I'm pretty sure even my old friend Vince Russo could do a better job.....and he wanted the upcoming Legion of Doom/Harris Boys match to be a "Spiked Shoulder Pad on a Pole match", so that says a lot! Anyway, while Eric books WCW into the ground, I've got a PPV to write.....onwards to Sunday.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying the shows because I'm having a lot of fun writing them, especially the promos, I have to make sure I'm not going to long other wise I'd be writing 20 minute promos all over the place lol. I am trying my best not to book angles too similar to the way they were booked IRL, but sometimes it's hard when they are engraved in your memory lol. The Austin thing always bugged me though, he pretty much went from The Ringmaster one week, to Stone Cold Steve Austin the next, with no real storytelling as to why.....it literally felt to me like they just went "yeah, the ringmaster sucks, forget about that, he's Stone Cold Steve Austin now." I'm trying my best not to do that.

  • 2 weeks later...

zQjl0Aa.jpg

Week 4 April, 1996

El Generico Stadium (Memphis, Tennessee)

ATT: 45,000

Buy: 1.04

The show opens to a highlight package of the events that have led up to this evening, from the KLiQ assaulting Jerry Lawler, to the reunion of the Hart brothers and everything in between, before finally the In Your House logo appears on the screen with the words "Long Live The King" emblazoned underneath.....only for a graphic of a branding iron to come crashing down over the top, leaving the logo of the KLiQ behind. Long Live the KLiQ indeed.

Following that we go live to the arena, where Vince McMahon and Jim Ross are on commentary, no Jerry Lawler obviously, he has more important business to attend to tonight as be battles Shawn Michaels for the WWF Championship. The duo welcome us to the show, briefly running down the card before we go straight to our first match up and the arrival of Yokozuna.

Yoko has a lot of anger to work through here tonight.....a lot of it aimed towards his former manager Jim Cornette, but if he can't get his hands on the Louisiana Lip, then he will be more than happy to lay a beating on Cornette's newest client, his un-named weapon of mass destruction, who is now stalking his way menacingly to the ring. The bell sounds and these two behemoths come face to face in the centre of the ring, with neither man giving an inch, until finally Yoko has had enough and swings hard with a big haymaker that snaps the Giants head hard to the left. It doesn't seem to phase the seven footer however, so Yoko does it again.....and again......and again.....with the same result each time. McMahon remarks that the blows seeming have little to no effect on this monster and the former WWF Champion seems to agree, because finally he just grabs at the masked face of his opponent, turns it to the side and delivers a hard headbutt to the big mans temple. That finally rocks the imposing figure and Yokozuna is quick to follow it up with a succession of two more that force his opponent backwards until he is propped up against the ropes. Yoko propels him off, Irish whipping him and using the momentum to deliver a big stiff chop to the chest of the monster. This still doesn't knock his opponent off his feet, it does stagger him however and this time when Yokozuna delivers a series of right hands it has the desired effect, driving the monster back into the corner, where Yoko is able to utilise all of his massive weight, crushing his opponent with a big turnbuckle splash. Again in a repeat of Monday night, he follows this up with a big clothesline over the top rope.....and again the monster lands on his feet.

This time though, after landing feet first on the floor, Cornette's Doomsday Machine reaches under the bottom rope and sweeps his opponents legs out from under him, before dragging him to the outside where he whips him hard into the steel steps. That turns the tides rapidly for the monster and with Cornette jumping up and down like a child at Christmas, he picks up the mammoth girth of Yokozuna and again drives him, knee first into the unforgiving steel. Back inside the ring, the damage inflicted on the outside is obvious, because tipping the scales at well over 600lbs means that the knees of Yokozuna have a lot of weight to support....take out the knees and you severely limit the big mans (already limited) mobility. Keeping his opponent on the mat, Cornette instructs his weapon to destroy his opponent....and the monster complies. It's not pretty, it's not exciting.....but it's very, very effective as he slowly dismantles the former Champion. Yokozuna tries to fight back on a number of occasions, but his knees won't let him muster any prolonged periods of offence.

The ending comes quite quickly in this one....and it's about as ugly as the rest of the match was. Because during one of Yokozuna's brief periods off offence, he made the mistake of trying to slam the red clad monster.....unfortunately his damaged knees couldn't take the added weight and his opponent was able to slip out of his grasp, land on his feet.......deliver a Chokeslam that Yokozuna got about 3 inches into the air for.....and make the cover for the one, two, three.

Winner: Cornette's Monster

j24FAoX.jpgtVfGex3.jpg0LQdZos.jpg

With another victory in the bag, Cornette is on the microphone as quick as a flash, running down Yokozuna a mile a minute as only the Mouth of the Mid-South can. He tells Yokozuna that he warned him that this would happen....."that when you have the nerve to place your nasty sushi stinking hands on Jim Cornette, only bad things are going to happen." He tells the locker room to let this be a lesson, to anyone who thinks that the can push around the little manager with a big mouth....and if this wasn't proof enough......"I don't call this man my Weapon of Mass Destruction for nothing."

He turns to his monster and tells him to "finish the job." As usual the monster complies, stomping at the already injured knees of Yokozuna, who cries out in pain with each new blow. The seven foot demon looks down on his prey, clearly not satisfied with the level of damage he's inflicted. He pauses for a moment before heading to the outside where he picks up a steel chair. Back inside the ring he picks up one of Yoko's thick legs and inserts it in the folding part of the chair. McMahon is shouting furiously on commentary that he's going to break the mans leg.....and he may well have done, had it not been for the intervention of this man......

WQovKz9.jpg

.....clearly still looking to "make a difference" Phatu comes running down the aisle with a chair of his own. He nails the monster hard in the back, but it has no impact. Slowly and methodically the big man turns to face his attacker.....he should have maybe turned a bit quicker though, because Phatu was more than ready and he smashes the steel over the masked head of the big man. Even this doesn't knock the man off his feet, in fact it doesn't look like it has any effect at all. Phatu goes for another swing, but before he has chance to make impact, the monsters arm snaps out and grabs him by the throat. One Chokeslam later and there are two bodies laid out on the mat, while Cornette and his client make their way victorious to the back.

While the carnage is being cleared in the ring, we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with Hawk and Animal, the Legion of Doom. He asks the pair if they have a game plan in place to counter act whatever plan Paul Ellering has concocted to ensure victory for the Harris Boys? The pair look at each other for a moment, before Animal starts to yell.

"PLAN? PLAN? DO WE LOOK LIKE MEN THAT PLAN ANYTHING? WE DO WHAT WE WANT, WHEN WE WANT, HOWEVER WE WANT.....WE DONT PLAN, WE JUST DO....TELL 'EM HAWK"

"WELL.....YOU SAY WE DON'T HAVE A PLAN......BUT I DO HAVE A PLAN....I PLAN TO SHOVE THIS FIST, SO FAR UP RON HARRIS' ASS, THAT I'LL BE ABLE TO USE DON HARRIS AS A VENTRILOQUIST DUMMY.....AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DUMMY WILL SAY DOK?"

"What a rush?"

"........DON'T EVER STEAL MY LINE AGAIN!!!!.....PAUL ELLERING, THESE TWO DINOSAURS ARE COMING, AND THE ONLY THING THATS GOING TO BE EXTINCT......IS THE HARRIS BROTHERS ABILITY TO BREATHE.......UHHHHHH.....WHAT A RUSHHHHHHH!"

It's tag team time and this one is going to be a pier six brawl, because no one has ever accused any one of these four men of being a technical genius. What they are, are four big burly brawlers so batten down the hatches. The Harris Boys come to the ring first, with Paul Ellering still giving them instructions as they walk down the aisle. The Doomers are out next, to a huge reception from this live crowd. They each mount a turnbuckle and pose for their fans, before both turning to stare down Ellering. You would assume that both teams have aspirations of gold in the future, and for the Harris Boys especially, a victory over a team as legendary as the Legion of Doom would certainly put them near the top of the list of contenders.

The bell rings and both teams charge at each other, fists and feet flying as the punch and kicks flow freely. If this was part of Paul Ellering's plan however, it was a pretty poorly thought out plan. Ron and Don might two of the toughest men on the face of the planet, but I don't think Hawk and Animal have lost a fist fight since kindergarten. They each nail their opponents one more time, before tossing them both through the ropes and onto the floor. Ellering regroups his team....telling them that this wasn't the plan....you know what to do. Apparently they do, because Ron steps back into the ring challenging Hawk. Never one to back down from a challenge Hawk is quick to accept, but gets blindsided by Don from behind, just as Ron cheap shots Animal off the apron to the floor.

Ellering looks much happier now that his contingent is in control, clearly the plan was to isolate Hawk, presumably to counter the power house that is Animal.....but then Hawk is no slouch when it comes to the power department either and the Harris boys have to work twice as hard as they usually would to keep the advantage....not that they seem to mind, because they utilise the five count with every tag, ensuring that they double team the Road Warrior each and every time. At one point Hawk gets tossed to the outside by Ron, who then turns and spits in the face of Animal. Obviously infuriated by the action, Animal tries to get into the ring for a dose of retaliation, unfortunately all that does is draw the officials attention away from the fact that both Don Harris and Paul Ellering are on the floor, stomping the paint off Hawks face.

It's hard to keep a Road Warrior down though and despite their best efforts, The Harris Boys double teaming eventually back fires, because after an Irish whip, Hawk is able to duck a double clothesline attempt, rebound off the ropes, and nail both Ron and Don with a double clothesline of his own, landing close enough to his own corner that he's able to make the hot tag to his waiting partner. Animal hits the ring like a house of fire, peppering both Harris Boys with hard rights and lefts, before hitting Ron with a big boot and catching Don immediately after with a powerslam that drives him hard into the mat. Hawk is soon back into the action and the official loses all semblance of control as the match breaks down to a brawl. Paul Ellering decides to get in on the action, jumping up onto the apron and hooking hold of Hawk from behind, holding him for a charging Ron, unfortunately Hawk is able to move at the last moment and Ellering is sent crashing to the floor courtesy of his own man.....who soon follows him thanks to a clothesline from Hawk which sends him flying over the top rope and to the floor.

In the mean time Animal has picked Don Harris high up onto his shoulders. Hawk climbs the turnbuckles and comes flying off. One Doomsday Devise later and Paul Ellering's master plan is out of the window.

We head to the back again, where Mr. Perfect is standing by with his guests, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the ravishing sight that is Sunny. Perfect tells Helmsley that it's a travesty that he should have to put his Perfect undefeated record up against a scrub like Marc Mero.....especially with virtually zero notice. Hunter agrees, telling Perfect that there has been a miscarriage of justice here....and that somebody with his pedigree and win record should be out there tonight competing for Intercontinental gold, not sullying his hands on one of the great unwashed masses in Marc Mero. Sunny says that it won't matter, because after Helmsley dispatches of Mero, Gorilla Monsoon will have no choice but to grant him a shot at the gold....because that's what Sunny wants...and what Sunny wants, Sunny gets.

It's Marc Mero's in ring debut tonight, although some might say that he could have picked an easier opponent for his first match. Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been on a roll here in the WWF since his arrival....many have tried to hand his his first mark in the loss column, but they have all failed. It's time to see what Marc Mero can do. He comes out first, to a pretty decent pop, it's safe to say that a good portion of the crowd recognises him from his previous (more flamboyant) life in the competition. Hunter is out next, with Sunny ever present by his side, tonight clad in a long elegant red gown, that's low cut enough to still give the men in the audience plenty to appreciate.

The two men get face to face and Hunter can be heard telling his opponent that he "should have stayed in the crowd where he belongs and left the fighting to the real men." Mero answers this with a left jab out of nowhere that puts Helmsley flat on his back. Luckily for him the official had yet to call for the bell, because had this match been underway then it may well have been over already, along with Helmsley's undefeated record.

The referee orders Mero back to the corner while he ensures that Hunter is in any condition to continue. It takes a few minutes, but finally this one is underway. Still clearly disoriented from the knock out blow, Helmsley is no match for his opponent in the opening minutes of this one, with Mero running rings around him. Despite his build and size, Mero is deceptively quick and far more agile than anyone would suspect by looking at him. Even bailing to the outside isn't enough to give Helmsley a breather, because the minute he turns around he gets nailed with a somersault body splash over the top rope. Just when all looks lost for Helmsley, Sunny does what Sunny does best. With Hunter on the mat and Mero on the apron, it looks like Marc is going for a springboard attack of some kind.....what kind we will never know, because the second he jumps, Sunny sweeps his legs out from under him and instead of landing on Helmsley inside the ring, he lands face first on the ring apron.

Having finally slowed his opponent down (albeit with some help from his manager) Helmsley turns to his favourite page in his playbook, arrogantly displaying his believed superiority over Marc Mero, following up each move with a lot of showboating and even more posturing to the crowd. He picks up Mero by the hair, telling him that this is a wrestling match, not some dirty backwater boxing match, before delivering a humiliating back handed slap to the newcomer. Mero is able to duck under a clothesline attempt and rebound off the ropes looking for a strike of his own, but he's met with a big high knee that almost garners Hunter a tree count. Helmsley keeps up the offence and almost manages to catch Marc with a Pedigree, but he gets backdropped before he can deliver the move. Seeing the tide beginning to turn, Sunny is up on the apron like a shot....but she maybe should have learnt from Paul Ellering's downfall earlier, because all the gets for her troubles, is the impact of Hunter Hearst Helmsley being propelled into her.....and the impact of the safety mats on the floor as she crashes back down to ringside.

Distracted by his managers flight to the floor, Helmsley finds himself rolled up with a schoolboy, barely getting his shoulder up at two and two thirds. Hunter is quick to his feet with a look of anger on his face, delivering a hard clothesline to his opponent, then rolling to the floor to check on Sunny. He would have been better served by keeping up the offence on his opponent though....because it's no sooner than he helps his manager to her feet, that he gets nailed in the back with a baseball slide from Mero, which in turn forces him to collide with Sunny....again, which then sends her crashing to the ground.....again, much to the delight of the crowd. Back in the ring Mero is able to hit a hurracanranna for a near fall, followed by a springboard leg drop from the middle rope for another. McMahon remarks that while you might not like Helmsley's arrogant attitude, it's clear why the man is undefeated here in the WWF, because Mero just can't keep him down. The newcomer bends over to pick his opponent up but Helmsley hits him with a low blow that should have caused a disqualification had it not been for the fact that Sunny had commanded the attention of the official, claiming that she needs medical attention.....clearly she doesn't though, because as Mero collapses to the mat in pain she tells the referee to pay attention to the match. Hunter picks up Mero and positions him for the Pedigree, but again he is able to backdrop Helmsley to escape the move. Hunter is up quick as a flash.....but he's not as quick as Mero's left hand, which connects with a stiff jab straight to his opponents jaw. Marc Mero makes the cover and just like that this match......and Helmsley's undefeated streak.....is over.

Winner: Marc Mero

Mero celebrates his huge debut victory while Helmsley lies unconscious on the mat before hopping out of the ring, past a distraught Sunny on the floor and heads to the back. Sunny clearly can't believe that her man has lost, screeching into the camera that "he cheated.....that's not fair.....you can't just punch a man in the face, he should have been disqualified." She climbs into the ring to check on Helmsley, but he's still out cold. She tries to bring him to for a minute, before having a biggest temper tantrum known to man, hopping up and down and screaming.....before tripping over her long gown and landing on her ass, much to the delight of the crowd as we go to the back.

Dok Hendrix is standing by, with both WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, and one of his opponents in the first ever Three Way Dance, Elimination match coming up, the 123 Kid. Dok remarks that the two men appear to have developed a mutual respect for each other over the last few weeks, but tonight they will have to put that respect to one side if either man wants to walk out with the gold. Jericho tells Dok that he's right, he has a lot of respect for the Kid, that's why he gave him this shot to begin with....because he comes to the ring and asks for a shot at the title, face to face, man to man.....no cheap shots, no ambushes....just straight to the point....but he warns the Kid that while he does respect him, make no mistake that when all is said and done, he will not hesitate to put him away and retain his title.

The Kid pretty much echoes Jericho's words, telling him that he respects his as a man and as a Champion....he says he sacrificed himself a few weeks ago to save Jericho....but tonight it's all about the Gold....it's every man for himself....and the only thing he's saving....is a spot around his waist for that WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, because tonight, he will sacrifice everything to walk away with that title.

The two men shake hands as Dok sends us back to ringside, where Scorpio is about to make his entrance.

It's time for the first of three title matches this evening, as Chris Jericho puts his Light Heavyweight Championship on the line against both the 123 Kid and the man making his way to the ring right now, former Light Heavyweight Champion, Scorpio. Jim Ross and Vince McMahon talk on commentary about the clause included in this one, that who ever wins we will be looking at a fresh face challenging for the gold after tonight.....because after threatening to challenge for the championship week in and week out until he is successful, Jericho had informed Scorpio that there will be no rematch after tonight.

Scorpio is accompanied by the Knights, Bobby and Nelson as he makes his way to the ring, The 123 Kid who's out next and Chris Jericho who makes his entrance last are unsurprisingly alone. The three men face off in the middle of the ring and the commentators discuss the fact that unlike previous multi man matches that we have seen here in the WWF, there will be no one to save you from a pinfall here, because of the elimination rule. One man will have to beat two, for the right to walk out of here tonight calling himself Champion. The bell rings and the three men are instantly in the attack. Despite the mutual respect between Jericho and the Kid, there's no teamwork or holding back....you would expect the pair to gang up on Scorpio since both men have their issues to settle with him, but no....it's all action from the start.

Jericho and the Kid exchange blows, before embarking on a fluid Lucha style reversal of each other's moves spot. Scorpio attempts to cheap shot the pair from behind, but gets caught. He gets sent running with a double Irish whip from Jericho and the Kid, after which the duo hit a high double back body drop that sends Scorpio flying over the top rope to the outside. That should have put him out of commission for a while, luckily for him he landed into the waiting arms of big Nelson Knight, who catches his stablemate and sets him down gently. The Kid complains to the official, but is informed that the Knights haven't actually interfered in the match, or laid a hand on either himself or Jericho....yet.

The action continues in the ring and is a real showcase of what these Light Heavyweights can bring to the table. All three men utilise the top rope, all three men are acrobatic and the crowd are treated to a real aerial display. Lionheart and Scorpio have tangled enough times now that they know each other's move set like the back of their hands, able to prepare a counter for moves that haven't even delivered yet....which is why when, after hitting the 123 Kid with a reverse DDT, Jericho goes to deliver a Lionsault but Scorpio is able to toss the Champion out to the floor and cover the Kid himself. He only gets a two count and Ross questions the logic of not letting Jericho connect with the Lionsault on commentary, reiterating the elimination rules....to which McMahon replies that Scorpio clearly wants the glory of the pinfall for himself.

On the outside the Knights attempt to soften the Champion up a little bit more, with Bobby holding Jericho from behind for his partner to nail him. Before Nelson can connect however, the official spots the interference and evicts the pair from ringside, under instructions that Scorpio will be disqualified if they don't leave. Scorpio is beside himself at the decision....so much so that the Kid is able to take him by surprise with a quick school boy roll up....and three seconds later we have our first elimination.

Now we are down to two....Chris Jericho and The 123 Kid....and only one of them can walk out tonight as Champion of the Light Heavyweight Division. With the distraction of the third man now gone, these two can concentrate all their efforts on each other, delivering a good show for the live audience. There are near falls aplenty as these two men assault each other with high flying moves, each looking for the final impact that will put their opponent away for good. The Kid goes on a roll, hitting Jericho with a number of martial arts strikes, a series of clotheslines, a roundhouse kick and a running leg drop, before signalling that it's all over as he heads up to the top rope. He comes flying off with a big moonsault....but Jericho manages to roll out of the way and the Kids knees crash into the mat. The Light Heavyweight Champion sees his opportunity and quickly applies the Liontamer, smack bang in the middle of the ring....it looks like our second and final elimination is on its way.....that is until.....

7M1mABh.jpgtsQXS32.jpg

.....the KLiQ contingent of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall amble their way to the ring. Ross and McMahon question their motives for being here, before discussing the bad blood that had existed between Hall and The Kid, after the Kid turned his back on his friend....McMahon suggests that Hall may be out here to rekindle that feud. The pair make their way to ringside and Scott Hall hops onto the apron, yelling at the official. With little choice but to try and remove Hall and Nash from ringside, he takes his attention away from the action....just as the 123 Kid begins to submit.....unfortunately for Jericho the referee doesn't see the submission....which means he also doesn't see.......

KS3QHSo.jpg

......Aldo Montoya sliding into the ring, Light Heavyweight Championship in hand.....which he nails Jericho in the back of the head with, before sliding straight back out of the ring. The Kid regains his composure and picks up the Champion, before delivering a move he's not used before here in the WWF, a sitout facebuster.....not that it was really needed, Jericho is still out from the Belt shot as the official registers the three count.....this one is over....and in the most controversial of fashions.

Scott Hall picks up the lifeless form of Chris Jericho and tosses him through the ropes to the outside. The official collects the Light Heavyweight Championship from the timekeeper, but Nash snatches it out of his hand before shoving him out of the ring as well. Hall raises the Kids hand in victory as Nash straps his newly won title around his waist, before the three men embrace. Montoya slides out of the ring to collect something from the outside that he had obviously bought down with him before his heinous attack. He rolls back in and hands the item to the Kid. Nash and Hall stand back and applaud as the new Light Heavyweight Champion unfolds a crisp new KLiQ shirt, which he promptly puts on, displaying his new allegiance. Montoya looks on in the background, before the camera picks up him asking Nash when HE would get a shirt. Scott Hall picks up a microphone and tells Montoya that "Hey Chico.....you want a shirt? You gotta earn those colours man....remember, you came to us....we didn't come to you....the Kid here, he's been KLiQ 4 Life....before there even was a KLiQ. You need to worry about the match later....and not about IF, you're gonna get a shirt."

With the KLiQ still celebrating their new newest members Championship victory in the ring, we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with The Million Dollar Man and his last remaining Corporation member, Psycho Sid. Dok asks DiBiase his thoughts on the KLiQ growing stronger.....by adding a former Corporation member in the 123 Kid....as well as his thoughts on the up coming match between Sid and Tatanka.

DiBiase says that the 123 Kid is nothing more than an ingrate....who will find out sooner rather than later that a smart man doesn't put friendships before money. He says that leaving the Corporation will be his downfall.....just ask Steve Austin....he's not even got a match tonight.....and if that doesn't convince you, then just wait about five minutes and ask Tatanka....because five minutes is all that this man mountain standing behind me will need.

It's time for the Native American to step into the ring with the last remaining member of the Corporation, Psycho Sid. Tatanka has vowed to regain his honour in the eyes of his ancestors after his stint as a Corporation member and finally put an end to The Million Dollar Man's group......but that's going to be easier said than done. This might be a Corporation of one....but that one is the size of two men and as angry as ten.....couple that with the fact that he's about as sane as Al Snow and you have a dangerous combination.

Tatanka starts out strong but it really doesn't take the big man long to take control of this one....Tatanka might be fighting to regain his honour, but he's fighting a losing battle against an opponent who is twice the man he is (even if he does only have half the brains). The Psycho one brutalises his opponent with a look of glee flashing in his crazed eyes. He could have pinned the man on a number of occasions, but chose not to, instead toying with the Native American.

It almost comes back to haunt him though, because while showboating for the disapproving crowd and with Tatanka set up for the Powerbomb, the Lumbee Indian is somehow able to power his much bigger opponent up in the air, dropping him to the mat in a modified Samoan Drop, reminiscent of his "End of the Trail" finisher....unfortunately he hasn't inflicted nearly enough damage on Sid, meaning the big man is able to kick out at a count of two. Hitting that big move however clearly gave Tatanka a second wind, as he starts hopping about the ring doing his war dance, hitting his opponent with jumping ax handle chop after ax handle chop. They rock Sid but not enough to put the big Redwood down, so Tatanka climbs to the top rope and dives off with another big chop, this time dropping Sid to one knee. Seeing his opponent drop gives Tatanka the encouragement to try the move again, this time when he flys from the top rope however, Sid catches him square around the throat and delivers a huge Chokeslam.....your ancestors are shamed Tatanka, Sid just pinned you.

After that display by Sid, we head to the back where Mr. Perfect is standing by with WWF Intercontinental Champion Faarooq and the rest of the Nation. Faarooq tells Perfect that tonight, Ahmed Johnson will realise that it's better to stand with the Nation than against them, because while "the man" wants to hold them down, keep them at each other's throats.....the Intercontinental Champion only wants to unite his brothers......one Nation, under Faarooq.....there is strength in numbers......and if Ahmed insists on continuing to challenge the Nation, he's going to find that out.

Rc3NoDZ.jpgkbzSPDo.jpg

From there we go straight to Dok Hendrix, who's stood by with the Challenger, Ahmed Johnson. Hendrix reiterates Faarooqs comments, saying that the Champion sounds like he's planning on using the numbers of the Nation to his advantage. Ahmed shouts for a little bit, saying that he's never needed help to get where he is today....and a real man fights his own battles, he doesn't hide behind his cronies......he says that they might be a Nation of five men, but like Public Enemy said...."it takes a Nation of Millions to hold me back."

It's time for the second title match of the evening, as Ahmed Johnson faces the uphill battle of prying the Intercontinental Championship away from Faarooq and the Nation of Domination. Ahmed has been on the hunt for the title since Goldust was the Champion, but he's yet to taste gold here in the WWF, much to the crowds dismay.....because despite his clumsiness and terrible mic skills, Ahmed is still tremendously over with the live audience.....and it shows by the pop he gets when he comes out.

The Champion is out next, flanked as usual by the sea of Nation members. The whole group gets into the ring as one, fronting up to Ahmed, before all giving the Nation Salute as one. Faarooq barks at Johnson that it's still not too late to do the right thing, all he has to do is pledge his allegiance to Faarooq and the cause and he can save himself from a world of pain. Ahmed's answer? Is to punch Faarooq square in the mouth. The official orders the Nation from the ring, because this one is underway.

Johnson tackles Faarooq from the offset, taking him down to the mat where he pummels him with rights and lefts. Faarooq scrambles away, but gets nailed with a big clothesline before he can get too far. Ahmed picks up his opponent and whips him into the corner, preparing to hit him with a big splash....but Kama reaches into the ring and drags Faarooq to the outside out of harms way before the challenger can connect. The Nation huddle together around their leader on the floor but Johnson doesn't care....he runs the length of the ring and flys with a dive over the top rope to the floor that takes out all five Nation members. Faarooq is driven hard into the ring post and Ahmed charges with a clothesline attempt....but again Kama is there to save his leader....pulling him out of the way as Johnson connects with nothing but steel, wrapping his arm around the post.

Back in the ring, the Intercontinental Champion goes to work on the damaged arm and shoulder region. It's all power and no finesse, but then Faarooq is a power house so what do you expect. There's not many WWF superstars that could manhandle a 320lb mass of muscle like Ahmed Johnson, but Faarooq makes it look easy. Ahmed ducks a clothesline attempt, but gets caught on the other side with a big spine buster. Faarooq hits a big shoulder breaker, following that up by folding Ahmed's arm up his back and slamming him down to the mat with the limb still pinned there. Utilising the Nation, he tosses Johnson to the floor, before drawing the attention of the official so that the four Nation men can beat him "like a government mule" as Jim Ross remarks on commentary. The Nation back away, damage done, and Faarooq tells the official to "count that clown out".....and he nearly does, but Ahmed manages to roll back into the ring at a count of nine.

Feeling that the victory is in the bag, Faarooq slows the pace down and starts toying with Johnson. He whips him hard into the corner, so hard that Ahmed rebounds back to the centre of the ring, straight into a big backdrop. Faarooq goes to the corner again, this time using it to ram Johnson shoulder first, causing Ahmed to shout out in pain. Faarooq dusts his palms off in a "job well done" motion, before telling Scorpio at ringside to "watch this". Going wayyyy out of his comfort zone, Faarooq decides to climb the turnbuckles, all the way to the top, before diving off with what looks like a diving shoulder block......overconfidence was his downfall though, because Ahmed was able to impressively catch the man and hit a huge powerslam to the mat.

The Nation look on in shock at ringside as Ahmed begins to mount a comeback. He's still clearly favouring the shoulder though....not that it's slowing him down, as he's able to hoist Faarooq high in the air and plant him with a one armed spine buster.....a series of lariats with his good arm, followed up with a kick to the gut and a scissor kick for as near a fall as you could possibly get. Fighting through the pain, he indicates that it's over and somehow, despite the bad arm, manages to hook his opponent and deliver a big Pear River Plunge before making the cover........for what would have been the three count......had Bobby Knight and Scorpio not hopped onto the apron, drawing the official over to them.

No one ever accused Ahmed of being the sharpest tool in the box....which is why with the official distracted, he still sits there holding Faarooq down for the pin....unfortunately that leaves him open for a big boot square to the face courtesy of Kama. Kama rolls him to the outside, before propping him up against the ring post, where Nelson Knight charges, using all of his weight to crush the Challenger against the steel. Ahmed crumples in a heap, dropping to the safety mats, but Knight isn't done, delivering a big splash on the floor that crushes Johnson like a bug.

Back in the ring, Scorpio and Bobby drop down from the apron, as Faarooq motions to the official to do his job, count the man out.....and that's exactly what he does, because Ahmed is going no where. Faarooq wins....Faarooq retains the Title....but he didn't do it clean....and he certainly didn't do it alone.

Winner: ....and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion.....Faarooq

It's time to head to the back, where Dok Hendrix is standing by with WWF Tag Team Champions Rick and Scott Steiner.....and their partner for this evening....who is currently engaged in a conversation only he can hear just off to the left of them....Al Snow. Dok starts by saying that Kevin Nash and Scott Hall of the KLiQ have made no secret about the fact that they are coming for the titles currently held by the Steiner Brothers....and have shown with their actions as of late that the KLiQ don't care what they do, or who they do it to....in order to get what they want. Rick is about to answer, but gets cut off by Snow

"I can tell you right now Betty, that there is no way........what?......yes I'm telling him......let me finish.......there is no way, that Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are taking our WWF Tag Team Titles, tonight or any other night....."

Dok looks at the Steiner's for a second who just shake their heads. He tells Snow that first of all he's right, the KLiQ won't be taking the titles tonight, because it's not a Title match.....but he's not sure what he means by "our" Tag Team Titles....Rick and Scott are the Champions.....they are Tag Team belts.....two champions, not three. Snow pauses for a moment with a look of confusion on his face, before returning to his internal conversation.

".........did you know about this?.......it's what now?......no I've never heard of that.......ok, ok, I'll tell him.......Betty, let me tell you something, there's a little thing in wrestling, something you've probably never heard of, not many people have, it's called The Freebird Rule......that means that any two of this fine trio you see before you can defend those titles, at any given time........."

Scott interrupts Snow there, he tells him that he's pretty sure that Dok is well aware of the Freebird rule, but they have been over this, he's not a co-holder of the tag team titles and this isn't about the gold....."this is about Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and that wanna be KLiQ lackey Aldo Montoya....this is about putting a stop to their little reign of terror.....a stop to them pushing around guys like Al Snow....because just like Roddy Piper say's, we're here to kick ass and chew gum.....and we're all out of gum.....lets go."

With that the Steiner's walk out of shot, leaving Hendrix and Snow alone. Al looks at Dok for a moment, before pulling something out of his tights.

"......I have gum......you want gum?"

Dok shakes his head in disbelief "Do you keep that in your tights?.....you know what, I don't want to know."

This match came about due to a strange combination of events, involving of all people, Aldo Montoya and Al Snow, two people who just last month would have been lucky to have been competing in the dark matches here tonight, let alone teaming with The KLiQ and The Steiner Brothers respectively. But one month later and here we are. Nash, Hall and Montoya come out first. Hall and Nash have their sweet black and white KLiQ shirts on (available at the merchandise stands kids.....tell your parents) and while I'm sure Aldo would love to be wearing one too, apparently he hasn't earned it yet. He is clad in new ring gear though. Gone are the gaudy yellow/red and green tights, instead he is decked out in a pair of cut off jean shorts with black boots. The Steiner's and Snow are out next, Rick and Scott with the WWF Tag Team Titles around their waists. Snow has obviously drawn inspiration from his new found friends, because he's also in new gear, ditching the Avatar outfit for a more traditional singlet.....but enough about outfits, this isn't a fashion show, it's a fight.

And fight they did, as soon as the bell rings these six men go to work on each other, pairing up against their opposite number, with Scott and Nash, Rick and Hall....and finally Snow and Montoya all pairing up to beat the hell out of each other. The faces are fired up for this one....and it doesn't take them long to gain the upper and and send the KLiQ contingent bailing to the floor. Rick runs around the ring barking like a dog and is about to drop to his hands and knees below Scott in that signature Steiner Brothers pose.....but Snow gets down there first. Clearly in a good mood Scott ruffles his new new pets hair, before Rick barks at Snow, then crawls over and cocks his leg as if he is urinating on him, much to the amusement of the crowd.

Nash is less amused on the outside, kicking the ring steps in frustration and generally pacing about looking surly. He grabs hold of Aldo by the scruff of the neck, telling him that if he wants to earn his colours, he'd better show him something tonight....before tossing him into the ring......where Rick Steiner runs through him with a Steinerline, sending him back to the floor. Nash says if you want something done right, then do it yourself, before stepping his big seven foot frame up onto the apron. Scott goes to charge him, but Nash tells the official to keep him back so that he can enter the ring. Both Steiner Brothers and Snow back up at the request of the referee, giving Nash the chance to step one big leg over the top rope.....unfortunately they had backed up so far, that Rick and Al get their legs taken out from under them as they are dragged to the outside by Hall and Montoya. Scott turns momentarily to see what happened, which is when Nash connects with a big boot straight to the jaw.

Rick and Snow attempt to get back into the ring, but the official has decided enough is enough, Scott and Nash are legal and everyone else is ordered back to their corners. Big Sexy punishes Steiner in the corner, choking the life out of him with the heel of his boot straight to the throat, before tagging out to Hall. Razor Ramon was always a cocky S.o.B....but since his rechristening as Scott Hall, that cockiness has gone up to another level. The Bad Guy stands over Scotty, paint-brushing the back of his head with arrogant slaps, before whipping him into the ropes and catching him, hitting a big fall away slam before tagging in Montoya. It's quite a sight to see, the figure of Aldo Montoya beating down on a fallen Scott Steiner....certainly not a sight anyone was expecting, but since pairing up with the KLiQ Aldo has developed quite the aggressive streak. The three men make frequent enough tags that there is always a fresh man in the ring and each man gets ample time to lay a beating on Steiner.....Nash uses his power, Hall showcases some rarely seen technical moves, while Aldo utilises his speed, as well as the top rope.....at least until he comes flying off with a cross body attempt, that Steiner catches, reversing it into a huge overhead belly to belly that sends Montoya flying long enough or Scotty to tag into Snow.

The thought of Al Snow being the subject of a hot tag would have been unthinkable a few weeks ago, but the crowd get behind him here as he charges into the ring, swinging wildly at the man who turned on him on Raw. Montoya may have a new found aggression but Snow seems to have an entirely new move set. Aldo swings a left at his opponent, but gets his arm caught under the armpit of Snow, he tries with a right hand but gets the same result....and with both arms trapped, Snow unleashed a series of headbutts that daze his adversary. Nash and Hall hit the ring....but so do the Steiner's, as much like the opening minutes of the match, we again descend into a six man brawl. Snow hits Montoya with a scoop brainbuster, which Jim Ross informs us has been christened the Snow Plow (quite how he knows that is anyone's guess.) That should have been enough for the three count, but Hall breaks up the pin....only to get clotheslines right over the top rope by Rick Steiner. Scott peels Aldo up of the mat, hoisting him up on his shoulders for his Brothers patented Bulldog from the top....before Rick can leap however he is distracted by a lone figure that comes running down the aisle way....

IYJgUWD.jpg

.....it's the 1,2,3 Kid (who has apparently grown a beard since earlier this evening.....creative licence there people) he reaches ringside and traded insults with Steiner, right up until the Dog Faced Gremlin is sent plummeting all the way to the floor on the outside, as Al Snow, who Kevin Nash had whipped hard into the corner, crashes into his midsection, head first. Scott is left in no position to defend himself with Montoya still upon his shoulders, which means that Kevin Nash's incoming Big Boot connects square in the jaw. Aldo lands on top of the fallen Steiner and three seconds later we have a winning team.....unbelievably, Aldo Montoya just pinned one half of the World Tag Team Champions.

After another victory for the seemingly unstoppable KLiQ, we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with the reunited Hart Brothers and their Brother In-Law The British Bulldog. Dok says that it's nice to see the family getting along again. Owen says that it's amazing what bonds a common enemy can rebuild. He says that Bret, him and Davey have wasted the best part of two years feuding with each other, while the real enemy has been building from within. That the KLiQ have done a lot of bad in a very short amount of time.....but the one good thing they did? "They gave me my big brother back." Owen pats Bret on the shoulder, before the Hitman begins to talk.

"You know, it's been pretty clear around here since Wrestlemania, that Shawn Michaels and his little Boy Toys Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, they're willing to run through anyone and do anything to get what they want....and it's not just the three of them anymore....Chris Jericho found out first hand earlier tonight that you need to be very careful who you trust.....It's a war Dok....and in a war, you need to watch out for each other.....you need to rally together and rely on each other.....you need fighters......not cowards, who are going to slink away like snakes in the night at the first sign of trouble......yeah, I'm talking about you Jeff Jarrett, I haven't forgot that you left me to the wolves last week........you need......family.....and this family.....this Hart Foundation......we're going to put an end to the KLiQ, once and for all.....starting with tonight.....when I stand in the corner (Bret shakes his head in disbelief) of Jerry "The King" Lawler."

It's time for the Semi-Main Event of the evening, as The Deadman goes one on one with the Madman. We have a brief recap video before hand, documenting the build up to the match, before the eerie music of Mankind starts to play, as the deranged competitor makes his way down the aisle. Mankind rolls into the ring and sits rocking in the corner, awaiting his opponent.....and what an opponent he is.....the lights go out as the Gong sounds and The Deadman makes his methodical walk to the ring. A large part of the Undertakers mystique, is the fact that his entrance alone is enough to psyche out most opponents.....but Mankind isn't most opponents....and he deliberately sought out the Undertaker upon his arrival to the WWF.....and he seeks him out tonight......

Before the Undertaker is even halfway to the ring, Manking has dropped to the floor and charged to meet his opponent in the aisle way, launching and landing with right hands that knock The Undertakers trademark hat flying. Mankind whips the Deadman into the steel barrier, following up with a running knee to the gut that drives Taker again, hard into the metal. The Undertaker staggers back into the middle of the aisle way and Mankind charges again, this time however the Deadman delivers a big back body drop and the deranged one lands hard on the floor. Undertaker picks up his foe, dragging him over to the In Your House set and slamming his head into the wall of the display house. McMahon mentions on commentary that this is NOT a no holds barred match and in fact the only reason that the referee hasn't counted out or disqualified anyone, is because the match hasn't even yet officially started.

Not that these two men care right about now. Taker goes to pick up Mankind, but his grounded opponent grabs a handful of tights and yanks the Deadman hard, driving HIM into the set, before pulling him up and Irish whipping him hard into the front door of the house, which shatters into pieces on impact. The two men continue their battle on the floor, trading blows and generally inflicting damage on each other, utilising their environment to its full potential. They eventually make their way down to the ringside area, where the Undertaker is whipped hard into the steel steps. Mankind charges at him, looking to drive his entire body weight into the Deadman, but The Undertaker moves and Mankind collides with nothing but steel. The official drops to the outside to try and restore some order, get the men in the ring, and get this one officially underway, but The Undertaker shoves him to one side, more concerned with inflicting damage on his opponent.

He picks Mankind up from the floor and bounces his head off the announce table before going for a suplex but his opponent is able to reverse it into a hip toss. Mankind pulls the safety mats up from the floor, exposing the bare concrete.....the official tries to stop this from happening, but again he is shoved to one side, this time by Mankind. Looking to inflict some serious damage, Mankind positions The Undertakers head between his legs, hitting a pulling piledriver onto the exposed floor. The Deadman is down and hurt but that's not enough for Mankind, who climbs to the middle rope before diving off with an elbow drop to the floor, which hurts him as much as it hurts the Undertaker. Both men slowly make their way to their feet (with help from the crowd barriers) and continue to rain down blows on one another. For a third time the official attempts to intervene between the two men and for a third time he gets shoved away, this time by both men simultaneously, as they send him sprawling to the floor....third times the charm for this official, who informs the timekeeper that he's ruling this a No Contest, just before he heads to the back out of harms way, leaving the Undertaker and Mankind to continue their battle at ringside.

And continue the battle they do, although ironically they have finally made it into the ring. Mankind advances on the Undertaker, looking to apply the Mandible Claw, but the Deadman is able to block it and deliver a huge Chokeslam right in the middle of the ring. Having finally put Mankind down, Taker runs his thumb across his throat, signalling that he's about to put him away for good. He picks his opponent up and gets him into position to deliver the Tombstone......which is when the lights go out......the darkness remains for a moment until suddenly a huge pyro of fire erupts from all four corner posts, which brings the lights back up......and these men out from the back......

j24FAoX.jpg

tVfGex3.jpg

......it's Jim Cornette, dwarfed by the figure of his Doomsday Machine by his side. The Undertaker drops Mankind and turns his attention to the aisle way, where Cornette has a mic. He tells the Undertaker that "Since Wrestlemania I've been coming out here with this monster by my side....I warned Yokozuna that he would make him suffer....which he did.....but I also said that he originally came to the World Wrestling Federation to inflict his pain on another......I just didn't say who that "other" was. I've also called him a lot of things......my Monster.....my Doomsday Machine.....my Weapon of Mass Destruction......but what I've never called him by, until now....is his name.....and this is where it gets interesting Undertaker.....and this is where you want to listen real close.....because this man right here....this seven foot monster.....his name is Kane....and that "other" is you!"

The Undertaker is stood rooted in the spot, with a look of disbelief on his face....a look of disbelief that appeared at the sound of the name Kane, clearly it's a name that means something to him, although quite what it means we will have to wait to find out.....because it's at that precise time that Mankind decides to nail the Deadman in the back with a steel chair. The Undertaker goes down in a heap and Mankind is on him like a shot, locking in the Mandible Claw. With the Undertaker convulsing under the devastating hold, Kane slowly makes his way to the ring. He steps over the top rope and looks down at the suffering Phenom, before positioning the steel chair that Mankind bought in, into the centre of the mat. Finally releasing the hold, Mankind shuffles back to the corner of the ring, while Kane lifts the Undertaker to his feet. He stares him in the eye for a moment, before hoisting him up, and shockingly delivering a Tombstone of his own, driving the skull of the Deadman into the steel.

Kane stands back and admires his handiwork. From the outside Paul Bearer frantically calls on the power of the urn to revive his Deadman.....and slowly, with much effort.....the Undertaker does indeed sit up....only for Kane to pick him to his feet and once again drive his head into the chair with a second Tombstone. Again Paul Bearer waves the Urn at the Deadman.....and again it looks as though he may rise....but Jim Cornette strides over and snatches the gold artefact out of his hands, rolling into the ring and presenting it to his Monster. With The Undertaker half laid and half sat up, Kane holds up the Urn, staring at it transfixed.....before smashing it over the head of the Phenom, finally leaving him down and out. He takes two steps back and raises his arms high in the air, before bringing them down violently, as the fire again erupts from the corner posts as we head to the back.

With the backstage crew, medical team and security all out trying to clear the chaos that is going on in the ring, we are treated to a split screen, with a close up of Vince McMahon in the arena on one side and The King, Jerry Lawler on the other. Vince talks briefly about what we have just witnessed, before turning his attention to Lawler, asking him if he is ready for the biggest match of his career. It's your basic response from Jerry.....he says that he can't think of a better place in all of the USA to be fighting for the WWF Title, than right here in Memphis Tennessee. He says he's won some of the biggest matches of his career here and tonight, he's going to add one more to the list.....and the icing on the cake? Bret Hart stood right there at ringside to see me do it. He says its like he's always told McMahon......it's good to be the King.......but it's going to be better, to be the WWF Champion.

With that Lawler walks off to prepare for his entrance. Vince is about to sign the interview off when suddenly he stops, telling the camera man to zoom in on the background....

It's time for the main event of the evening, and the WWF Title is on the line. The King is out first and being that this is Memphis, he gets a huge reception as he walks down to the ring. He soaks up the reception, basking in the cheers, before his music comes to a stop and the Champion makes his entrance. Shawn walks out from the back....and surprise, surprise he's not alone....Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and The 123 Kid are all following behind. Michaels gets into the ring and raises the Title high into the air, smirking at the King and indicating the the KLiQ contingent that surrounds the ring. The smirk soon fades though, as the Hitman's music starts to play and the entire Hart Foundation makes its way to the ring.

Lawler and Michaels go face to face in the ring, as the KLiQ and The Hart Foundation position themselves on opposite sides at ringside....this one Ladies and Gentlemen, is underway. Jerry Lawler might only be a part time performer and in the twilight of his career....but this Memphis crowd has him performing like it was 20 years ago. If Michaels was expecting an easy ride against the "colour commentator", he soon realised that he was mistaken. Every punch Shawn throws is blocked, while every one the King throws connects. For as unprofessional as HBK can be in the back, he bumps like a pro for the Kings offence, backing off with a look of shock on his face. Lawler Irish whips the champion hard into the turnbuckle....so hard that Michaels is turned upside down and staggers back into the middle of the ring where he's levelled with a clothesline. Jerry tries again with an Irish whip to the ropes, but Michaels ducks a clothesline attempt, rebounds off the opposite ropes and goes for his trademark diving punch/forearm....but Jerry drops safely to the mat out of harms way and The Champion crashes to the canvas. The King climbs the second turnbuckle, looking to connect with a fist drop, but the 123 Kid grabs hold of his ankle, giving Michaels time to climb to his feet and hit a dropkick that causes Lawler to tumble over the top rope and down to the floor.

The KLiQ circle Lawler like a pack of hyenas, but true to his word, Bret is over like a shot, with Owen and Davey in tow, and in a blink of the eye the Hart Foundation and the KLiQ are trading blows. It looks like we could have a repeat of the previous Mankind/Undertaker match, as the two factions begin battling on the floor, but before it can go any further Gorilla Monsoon is out with a microphone. He orders all six men not actively competing to the back, stating that if he sees a Hart Foundation member out at ringside again during the course of this match, then NONE of the group will be eligible to challenge for ANY title for one full calendar year.....and likewise, should any member of the KLiQ decides to interfere in this match, then THAT entire group will be denied the opportunity to compete for Championship gold.....but on top of that, Shawn Michaels will be automatically disqualified.....and stripped of the WWF Title.

Michaels is furious at hearing this, but having little other choice, both factions disappear to the back, leaving HBK and The King to battle it out for the gold. Michaels has the upper hand, as Lawler is still suffering from his tumble over the top rope....and he goes straight on the offence, pummelling his opponent to the mat with right hands, before stomping a hole in him. He whips Lawler into the corner, before hitting him with a high back body drop. Shawn goes over to the corner and takes the padding off the turnbuckle, revealing the steel underneath. The King has gotten back to his feet and swings wildly at the Champion, but Shawn easily avoids it and delivers a back suplex, reminiscent of his original finisher, the Tear Drop Suplex. He goes for the pin but only manages a two count before Lawler kicks out, much to the delight of the crowd. Michaels looks frustrated....he stomps Lawler a few times, before heading up top, presumably looking for that patented diving elbow drop....but the King manages to get to his feet and staggers forward, knocking Shawn's feet from the ropes, unfortunately for Michaels he lands crotch first onto the steel turnbuckle that he exposed earlier.

Feeling his second wind Lawler climbs to the second rope and delivers a big Superplex to the Champion that knocks the wind out of both men. Lawler is able to drape an arm over the Champion, but he only gets a two count. With both men still down on the mat, the official starts his mandatory ten count, The King has taken the brunt of the punishment tonight, but with the crowd cheering him on he is able to make it to his feet by a count of nine. Unfortunately so has Michaels....the King is on a roll though, and he counters all of HBK's strikes with one of his own, backing the Champion into the corner, mounting the turnbuckle, and delivering the customary ten punches as the crowd counts along. Michaels staggers to the middle of the ring, before dropping face first to the mat. The crowd roars as Lawler drops the strap on his singlet....they know what that means.....McMahon remarks that we might be about to witness the crowning of a new champion (pun intended in sure) as Lawler picks up Shawn and positions him for the Piledriver. Before he can hit it though, we have an arrival at ringside.....

.......it's Aldo Montoya! McMahon shouts out that the KLiQ were barred from ringside.....but Jim Ross points out that they may well have found a loop hole here.....because Aldo Montoya is not an official member of the KLiQ. Montoya screams abuse at Lawler from ringside, which is enough of a distraction that The King releases Michaels from the Piledriver and turns his attention to Aldo. He walks over to the corner and begins hurling insults of his own down at the young man. Being the veteran that he is, Lawler should have known better than to take his eyes off his opponent though....because Shawn charges and drives a knee into the back of the challenger, which knocks the wind out of him. Michaels picks Lawler up and slams his head into the turnbuckle three times.....the exposed turnbuckle.....meaning Michaels slammed Lawlers head into solid steel three times. The official backs The Champion up and checks on Lawler.....who is busted wide open, bleeding profusely from a gash in his head. Michaels advances on his wounded prey, but again the official backs him up, wanting to check that the King is fit to continue. Lawler waves him off and staggers into the middle of the ring.....straight into a Sweet Chin Music from Michaels. Three seconds later and we have a winner.

Winner: ....and STILL WWF Champion.....Shawn Michaels

The King is helped from the ring by medical personnel as the rest of the KLiQ join the celebrating Champion in the middle of the ring. They congratulate Michaels and Michaels in turn slaps Montoya on the back in a job well done, before all five men raise their hands in celebration.

This brings the Hart Foundation out, who stand at the top of the aisle way with a look of disgust on their collective faces. The KLiQ see the trio and the two factions stare each other down as the show fades to black lol

<p>So In Your House is in the books and I have to say, for a secondary Pay Per View the reviews came back really positive....especially for the main event. It probably helped that we were in Memphis, but Shawn Michaels and Jerry Lawler put on possibly the match of the year so far....to a red hot crowd. Those Memphis fans were firmly behind the King and it really helped the match over all. Mankind's stock has really gone through the roof after his no contest with the Undertaker. I was a little bit worried about the booking, because considering that Taker is a bonafide Main Eventer and Mankind...well let's just say he was a solid midcarder at best....I had visions of having to talk the Deadman into taking a draw.....The Undertaker proved me wrong though.....and showed everyone in the back why he is considered a leader in the locker room, because he was perfectly happy with the finish, stating that he and Mankind could have some stellar match ups going forward, especially if the audience saw them on the same level......See that Shawn? See that Razor? That's called professionalism you pair of Jackasses.</p><p> </p><p> There was someone not so happy about tasting defeat at the Pay Per View though.....and for once it wasn't one of the kliq.....Yokozuna was less than happy.....in fact he was downright furious at being asked to lose to...as he put it "Lawler's jobber Dentist with a mask ok." It took me a long time to convince him that while he might know that it's Isaac Yankem under a mask, as far as the vast majority of the audience knows, it's a brand new big bad, looking to tear the WWF apart....he agreed to take the loss in the end, but he wasn't happy about it, even when I guaranteed him that I have big plans for him going forward to make up for it......yeah, I lied......I do have plans for Yoko don't get me wrong.....just not especially big ones. His weight is starting to become a problem now, to the point that he's out of breath a few minutes into his matches.....I'm genuinely worried he's going to die on live TV......although it would probably pop a good rating (I joke, I joke.....sort of)</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, that's April over and done with, May here we come.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 1, May 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>If the Hart Foundation win, one of the three men will become the #1 contender for the WWF Title</strong></p><p> The Hart Foundation (Bret/Owen/Davey) vs. The KLiQ (Nash and Hall) & Aldo Montoya.</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Tatanka vs. Steve Austin</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Billy Gunn vs. Justin Bradshaw</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Three Way Dance, Elimination match to become #1 contender to the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p> Jerry Lynn vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Hakushi</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Hardy Boys vs. the Harris Boys</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Thanks for the kind words.....it's a fun mod to play, good luck keeping the Kliq happy backstage though and be prepared to pay a ridiculous sum to keep hold of Hall and Nash. I don't plan on stopping any time soon don't worry lol, on a side note I've just seen that yourself and cbacon87 nominated this for the DOTM, so thanks to you both :D

Thanks to everyone for the predictions, show should be up in the next 24 hours or so, it's all written up and ready to go, I just need to actually get on the computer and book it lol
