Week 2, July 1996

Arrowhead Pond

ATT: 16,276

TV: 15.00

The show opens with a brief recap of last weeks main event, which saw Stone Cold Steve Austin defeat Scott Steiner, to claim the sole WWF title shot against Shawn Michaels at In Your House.....the decision was surrounded in controversy however, as Austin won via disqualification after Bret Hart took exception to Stone Cold spitting in his face and attacked the King of the Ring winner.

The show opens and it does so without the usual theatrics, instead we go straight down to the ring, where Gorilla Monsoon is stood in the centre of the ring with both the Steiner Brothers and The Hart Foundation. Owen is without crutches for the first time since his King of the Ring appearance....but he still walks with a noticeable limp....he'd better hope that the limp is gone by the time In Your House rolls along, because he's got a date with Brian Pillman.

Monsoon says he's requested the presence of these two teams, in an attempt to preempt any possible repeats of last weeks chaotic opening and closing minutes....and he makes it clear that the will be NO physicality right now, or there will be consequences....unfortunately the chances of that seem slim, because Scott Steiner is not in a good mood this evening. He shouts at Monsoon that his consequences don't mean squat, especially when Steiner has been screwed out of a title that he rightfully won....screwed out of a rematch two weeks ago.....

".....and screwed again last week, by a man that's SUPPOSED to have my back.....you can shove your consequences Monsoon....because it seems to me that anyone can do anything around here and you don't do a damn thing about it."

The Hitman doesn't like having his mistakes pointed out clearly....telling Scott that last week was a lapse in judgement.....a lapse that he apologised for "....until you placed your big ape mitts on me....and caused my brother to get knocked to the floor....." Steiner says all three of the Harts will be knocked to the floor in about three seconds if Hart doesn't back the hell up. Monsoon gets between the two warring sides and manages to calm the situation before we have another brawl on our hands......he says that he understands Steiner's frustration....and accepts that he does indeed have a point.....which is why tonight, it's going to be Rick and Scott, going up against Bret and Davey......and if The Steiner's win, then Scott will indeed be included in the main event at In Your House.....BUT.....this is the last opportunity....no more excuses, no more chances.........

......GLASS SHATTERS......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Stone%20Cold_zpsycnnb7yr.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Pillman_zpsklslzyf4.jpg

.......and that brings out Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Loose Cannon, Brian F'n Pillman. They march down the aisle and into the ring and they do not look happy.....Austin tells Monsoon that he can't believe what he's hearing....

".....just how many chances are you going to give this jackass? Because you can bet your ass that if that was Stone Cold Steve Austin, you wouldn't be handing out chance after chance after chance.....but then again, if that WAS Stone Cold Steve Austin, then one chance would have been what I needed....because when Steve Austin says he's gonna do something, you'd better believe that son of a b###h is getting done....and that's why I'm the King of the Ring....and Bret Hart ain't...."

Pillman takes the mic and tells Monsoon that he knows his game....

".......I'm a revolutionary, my mind is free and my eyes are wide open....I can see things that the sheltered sheep of humanity can't...and you're so transparent that I can see right through you....so desperate are you to ensure that this pumped up pissant gets added to Steve Austin's title match at In Your House....that you're more than happy to abandon your morals, lay with pigs and get more than a little dirty....because you know full well that Bret Hart.....just like all the Hart's....has no integrity and no balls underneath those pink tights....."

Pillman says that it's obvious that Monsoon is going to have The Hitman lay down to ensure that his pet project finally gets a shot at the gold.....and because of the type of person Bret is (a gutless coward, just like his brother Owen) that's exactly what he will do. Monsoon scoffs at the suggestion, claiming that Bret hart has more integrity in his little finger than Pillman and Austin combined....Monsoon says that to prove that, he was about to add a further stipulation, before he was so rudely interrupted.....if The Steiner Brothers win this match, then Scott Steiner will be included in the WWF Title match at In Hour House.....

"......BUT.....if the Hart Foundation win.....then Bret Hart will be going on to Summerslam, to face either Steve Austin or Shawn Michaels, whomever the WWF Champion is at the time....and to ensure that you two idiots don't decide to influence the result tonight....there will be no count outs.....and there will be no disqualifications.....there WILL be a pinfall or submission victory.....and either Bret Hart or Scott Steiner, WILL be granted a WWF Title shot."

It's time for the first match of the evening.....and it's a big one....with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash teaming up with their KLiQ compadres Sean Waltman and Justin Credible....going up against the Challengers for the Tag Team Titles, Al Snow and Bill DeMott....Rey Mysterio, who clearly has designs on Sean Waltman's Light Heavyweight Championship....and Chris Jericho, who is still angling for a rematch with Waltman himself, having defeated him during the King of the Ring Tournament.

With plenty of issues to be addressed, this was always going to be a heated contest.....and unfortunately for the fan favourites, unlike at In Your House, Hall and Nash are free to use both arms in this one....and they use them well....especially when they isolate young Rey Mysterio, who gets tossed around like a rag doll.....Mysterio might be small though, but he's got a hell of a lot of heart.....even managing to slip off Nash's shoulders during a cocky jackknife attempt to make the tag.

The match eventually breaks down (as they do) into an eight man brawl. With Snow and DeMott (surprisingly) going toe with Hall and Nash, while Rey and Jericho battle Waltman and Credible.....in the end though it's the usual KLiQ tricks that win them the match, as with so much going on, the official manages to miss Sean Waltman nailing Mysterio with the Light Heavyweight Title.....he doesn't miss the cover though.....and the KLiQ pick up the one, two, three.

Winner(s): The KLiQ

The match is over and the KLiQ stand victorious over the fallen Mysterio. Nash picks up Rey and goes to jackknife him, but instead of slamming him to the mat, he tosses him over the top rope and down to the outside where luckily Al Snow and Bill DeMott break the youngsters fall. Waltman takes a microphone and tells Mysterio that this is what happens when you mess with the KLiQ.....and exactly why he told him last week that he didn't deserve a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title....because he's a loser....

DeMott and Snow are checking on Mysterio but Jericho looks as though he's about to show why they call him Lionheart....and jump straight back into the ring.....heart of a lion or not though, you've got to believe that climbing into the ring four against one with the KLiQ is a pretty stupid idea.....not that the four men mind, Hall even sits on the middle rope and holds the top rope open with his shoulder, inviting Jericho in.....

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Monsoon_zps1s02s6qy.jpg

......but Gorilla Monsoon walks out into the aisle before Chris Jericho can commit career suicide.....he tells the KLiQ that he's had about enough of their antics as of late.....as a result, Hall and Nash will be defending their tag team titles at In Your House with one hand tied behind their back.....Shawn Michaels bragging last week that he's going to be fresh as a daisy for his title defence means he's got a date with Ahmed Johnsom tonight....and as for you two idiots (indicating towards Waltman and Credible) maybe you have a point....and young Rey Mysterio hasn't done enough to warrant a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title.....so at In Your House, he's going to have a shot to earn it, when he faces Justin Credible....because if he wins that match, then at Summerslam, he's going to get his shot.

Waltman says that's fine.....IF.....and it's a big if.....he gets by J.C at IYH, then Waltman will happily kick his ass at Summerslam. Monsoon says that's all well and good, but Sean Waltman might not even BE the Champion come Summerslam.....because at In Your House, he's going to be putting the gold on the line...."....against a man that's more than proved himself in the Light Heavyweight Division.....in fact, he even defeated YOU and eliminated you from the King of the Ring....and that man's name is Chris Jericho...."

Waltman is furious at this and screams about the no rematch clause....which Monsoon reminds him is null and void....and hopefully, come In Your House....the KLiQ's reign of terror will be as well.

We go to pre-recorded footage of Bart Gunn responding to the challenge of Mr. Perfect and Billy Gunn. Bart is filmed from his home, still wearing the neck brace and still clearly in pain from the Famouser delivered with a steel chair. He says that he is in no condition to wrestle right now....but he will be....and he will be by Summerslam....so he accepts Billy's challenge, telling him that one way or another, Bart's going to make him pay the price for crossing him.....it's a short and sweet promo, but it gets the point across.

It's match time as young Rocky Maivia of the Son's of Samoa goes one on one with one half of the Texas Long Riders, Justin Bradshaw. It wasn't so long ago that Bradshaw himself was a newcomer to the WWF....but a successful series of matches with the Smoking Gunns as well as his association with Barry Windham, has ensured that Bradshaw is now firmly secured a comfortable midcard spot.

Rocky will be looking to achieve similar success here in the WWF....a victory over Bradshaw would certainly help....not to mention the fact that the Son's of Samoa have had their problems with the Texans as of late, so there are serious bragging rights at stake. Unfortunately for this Blue Chipper, there was a gate crasher to the party.....

......in the form of Jesse James....who's also has his problems with the Island boys as of late. He claws at Maivia's ankle, just as the youngster has impressively lifted up the big Texan for the running shoulder breaker.....allowing Bradshaw to wriggle free, run the ropes.....and absolutely nail Rocky with a huge Lariat that gives him the three count.

We come back from commercial to find Jim Cornette stood in the middle of the ring alongside Kane and Mankind. He takes a microphone and addresses last weeks light show, which was presumably the work of the Undertaker. Cornette says that typically, the Undertaker failed to make an appearance last week....instead relying on his smoke and mirror parlour tricks to try and intimidate and rattle his clients....

".....except these two men don't rattle easily....and it takes more than a few flashing lights to intimidate them....you're taking about a man here in Kane, who's felt the searing heat of fire, eating away at his vulnerable flesh.....watched the skin on his own body melt away, as the smell of his own burning body filled his nostrils....all the time knowing, that his OWN brother was responsible for his suffering.......not to mention Mankind, who has been suffering and ridiculed and punished his whole life, simply for existing.....you're playing a dangerous game Deadman.....you're trying to play mind games, with minds that are too broken to understand the rules of engagement.....it's a game you're never going to win..."

He goes on to tell the Undertaker to stop hiding in the shadows, step into the light and accept the repercussions of his actions like a man....but until such a time as the Undertaker resurfaces, Kane and Mankind are happy to take their vengeance out on the so called Legion of Doom.....last week Animal felt the wrath of Mankind.....tonight, Kane is going to clip the wings of the Hawk.....and then at In Your House, they're going to finally put to bed the Legend of the Legion of Doom.

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Hawk_zpscidjex3f.jpg VS. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Kane_zps4ckfviic.jpg

Its time for a repeat performance of last week.....and it's pretty much the same match, only the participants have changed. Where it was Animal and Mankind last week, this time it's Hawk and Kane. It's not often that Hawk is the smaller man in his contests, but he is here......fortunately he is the quicker of the two, meaning he has to use his speed instead of his usual strength game......not that he doesn't get to showcase his power, because at one point he even manages to body slam the big red monster in an impressive show of strength.

It doesn't leave Kane down for long however....and it's a bit like watching the Road Warriors of old seeing Kane no sell the assault of the LoD member. Eventually it all breaks down on the outside, where Mankind attacks Animal on the floor, locking in the mandible claw that incapacitates the big man. Seeing this halts Hawk's assault, as he was perched on the top rope ready to let fly with a diving clothesline. The distraction proved to be his downfall however, as with Hawk still crouched on the top, Kane mounts the middle rope and wraps his huge gloves mitt around the throat of his opponent, delivering a huge, HUGE Chokeslam, that even Hawk is forced to sell, as Kane makes the cover that gives him an impressive victory over the Road Warrior.

While Hawk finds himself in a position that he doesn't find himself very often (flat on his back counting the lights) and Animal is still incapacitated on the floor, Mankind rolls into the ring to celebrate with his partner......not that it's a particularly elaborate celebration, he just sits in the middle of the ring rocking back and forward. Cornette joins them and drops down to one knee, holding his ever present tennis racquet high in the air in a mock Undertaker pose. Kane lifts up his arms, ready to unleash the fire of pyro from the corner turnbuckles.....but when he drops them......

.......GONG!!!!......

........the lights go out......and the video screen flickers into life, playing a montage of grainy black and white images, mainly featuring shots of a macabre theme....maggots, worms, open graves etc....and finally a house engulfed in flames that's collapsing under itself.....

.......GONG!!!!......

......the flames intensify and the words....."FROM THE ASHES, THE TRUTH WILL RISE"......"SOON".....and with that the screen cuts out but the lights stay off, as pyro erupts from the corners of the ring and we head off to commercial.

We're back from commercial and back in the ring, where the Million Dollar Man is stood beside his mountain of a man client, Psycho Sid. DiBiase says that he thought he made himself clear a few weeks ago, when he walked out here and declared that the next number one contender....and challenger for the WWF Title at Summerslam....was going to be Psycho Sid....

".......but now I hear, that if Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith beat those moronic Steiner Brothers tonight, then Bret Hart is going to be facing the WWF Champion, whomever that may be......at Summerslam? Now I'm a man who gets what he wants in this world.....that's why I'm rich....and you peasants aren't....I'm used to the finer things in life....I'm used to people pandering to my every whim......what I'm NOT used to, is being disrespected or ignored....."

He goes on to say that Bret Hart had better pray that he loses tonight.....because if he wins.....and he becomes the Number One contender to the WWF Title.....that puts him right in Psycho Sid's....and Hitman.....that's NOT somewhere that you want to be.

Intercontinental Title shot at In Your House on the line

You might be forgiven for believing that you're watching a repeat of last weeks show here if you've just tuned in....but no, it's a rematch from last weeks encounter between Marc Mero and Jeff Jarrett. Mero was not happy with the way he lost last week, challenging Jarrett to try and do it again....Jarrett was reluctant however, until Mero offered to put the #1 contender-ship for the WWF Intercontinental Championship on the line in order to get Jarrett in the ring again.

Mero was all over his opponent here, desperate not only to keep hold of his shot against Triple H at In Your House, but also to prove that the only reason he lost last week, was because of the impact of the KLiQ....specifically Sunny and Mr. Helmsley himself.....

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HHHKliq2_zpsn5ltccm1.jpghttp://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/SunnyKliq_zpsnlytrskn.jpg

.......who funnily enough, also make an appearance tonight....again with Sunny hopping up onto the apron to distract the official, while Helmsley sneaks into the ring to capitalise on it. This time however......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Sable_zpsrnxmhiqb.jpg

......another stunning blonde comes running down the aisle......this one however doesn't jump up on the ring apron, instead she pulls Sunny down, who lands with a thud on the floor. Helmsley charges at Mero, who sees him coming and sidesteps, sending Hunter flying over the top rope where he lands on the floor too. Jarrett is stalking his opponent but Mero turns around quick as a flash and knocks him out with that swift left hand for the one, two, three.

Helmsley scrambles over to Sunny and helps her to her feet, just before she has a little temper tantrum, jumping up and down on the spot and demanding to know "Who the hell is that bimbo?" Fortunately Mero is on hand to answer her question. He holds the ropes open for this beautiful young woman, who enters the ring and hands him a microphone. He tells Helmsley that anything Hunter can do, Mero can do better....."and if not better, then certainly classier......I'd like to introduce you to Sable.....and this is what a real woman is supposed to look like.....and at In Your House, I'll show the world what a real Intercontinental Champion is supposed to look like"......

Sunny's temper tantrum reaches new highs and it looks like she's going to explode, before she lets out a loud scream and storms to the back, with Helmsley pacifying her the whole way, as Mero and Sable celebrate in the ring.

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Ahmed_zpsnxyvo3jj.jpg VS. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/HBKKliq_zpsphlcapai.jpg

Three months ago, this match would have been a massive event, both men were hot with the crowd, both men were riding a huge wave of momentum.....but while Shawn Michaels wave continued to rise like an unstoppable tsunami, Ahmed's as of late has turned into a bit of a damp puddle. Not that he's any less over with the crowd, he just hasn't had an awful lot of screen time as of late. His buttocks get plenty of screen time this evening though, as his tights creep higher and higher into the crevice of his ass as the match goes on.

To say that a victory here would be a HUGE deal for Ahmed would be an understatement. Never mind Steve Austin, Scott Steiner, or even Bret Hart, which ever way you look at it, a victory over the reigning WWF Champion would have to put you at the very top of the food chain. Unfortunately, getting that victory is going to be easier said than done, especially when the Heartbreak Kid has both Sean Waltman and Justin Credible accompanying him in this one.

These two actually have a good match....not really a surprise where Michaels is involved, as HBK does a masterful job of bouncing around the ring, selling the awesome power of Ahmed, who honestly looks like a star here and someone deserving of a main event push......he's even able to hit the Pearl River Plunge on the Champion, unfortunately for him however it was too close to the ropes....and Credible was able to reach into the ring and drape Michaels foot over the bottom rope before the ref registers a three count.

Ahmed hits a scary looking suicide dive over the top, crushing the life out of the two interfering KLiQ members....but the breather was all the time that Michaels needed and when Johnson re-enters the ring, he's met with a stiff Sweet Chin Music, right to the jaw.....and just like that, the Champ wins.

Michaels snatches his Title from the official and takes a microphone, flanked by the two KLiQ members. He claims to not give a damn if he's fighting one man or two at In Your House....."because whether it's Steve Austin, or Scott Steiner AND Steve Austin, it's all the same....because when you ride with the KLiQ.....the numbers are ALWAYS on your side....."

.....he also tells Bret Hart to heed the advice of the Million Dollar Man and to think twice about trying to become the number one contender to Shawn's Title....he asks Bret "how many times do I have to beat up on the Harts, before you all finally run back to the snowy streets of Calgary with your tails between your legs." He says that he took this title of Bret to begin with.....and retained it against Owen, injuring the little punk in the process.....I beat you once Bret and you can be damn sure I can do it again.....because I'm the Champ....the Icon.....the Showstopper......the god damn main event....and this (holding up the WWF Title) proves it, without a shadow of a doubt.....so good luck boys....because one of you is soon going to be dancing, to some Sweet Chin Music.

We briefly head to the back, where Al Snow and Bill DeMott are packing up and leaving for the evening. Both men (and Head) look freshly showered and Snow is bizarrely combing Head's towel dried hair. DeMott stops packing his bag, before looking at Snow, giggling....and asking him what the hell he's doing? Al said he'd have thought that was pretty obvious....before returning to his task.

DeMott shakes his head and opens the locker door to get his stuff....but stops dead in his tracks the minute he does so.....before clutching at his head and shouting "No........no, no, no, no.....it's happening soon....." and bolting for the door, leaving all of his personal belongings behind in the hurry. Snow looks baffled (even for him) and walks over to the locker to see what's spooked his partner. He reaches into the locker and pulls out......

......a copy of the 1988 cult classic comic book, V for Vendetta. Snow stares at it for a moment before rolling his eyes and tossing the book on the side, before returning to Head's grooming session.....

We stay in the back, this time going over to Dok Hendrix, who's with the Hart Foundation, Bret, Owen and Davey Boy. Dok says that the stakes tonight just got that little bit higher, with the added incentive now being, that should the Hart Foundation be victorious tonight, then Bret Hart will be eligible to challenge for the WWF Championship at Summerslam. Bret tells Dok that the Hart Foundation have never needed any added incentive to win matches.....because gaining the victory is a big enough incentive in itself. He says that tonight it's unfortunate that they have to compete against two men that he considers friends....and he hopes that at the end of the night, Scott Steiner will realise that last weeks mistake, was just that....a mistake....Bret says that he certainly never intended to cost Scott a shot at the WWF Title.....but tonight, he's sorry, because he's going to have to do it again...."because one way or another, I'm getting that shot at Summerslam.....and Shawn Michaels, for once I'll be rooting for you at In Your House, because when I reclaim MY WWF title, I want it to be you that's screaming out in pain as I lock in the Sharpshooter and bring the gold home."

Dok asks Owen about the condition of his leg, considering his confrontation with Brian Pillman is only 13 days away.....Owen says that 13 days is a long time.....he only needs three to be back at close to 100%....."and when In Your House comes Pillman, you're going to wish you were back training at the dungeon in Calgary.....because all the stretching that Stu Hart made you suffer through, will be nothing compared to what I'm going to do to to you...."he goes on to say that between Shawn Michaels and Brian Pillman, he's spent the best part of two months on crutches....it's time to return the favour tenfold.

It's time for the main event of the evening....and it's a tension filled, action packed affair.....with two pretty equally matched teams.....although you have to wonder what Rick Steiner and The British Bulldog are gaining from this contest, since it's Scott and Bret that both have World Title shots on the line. Speaking of those two, that's exactly who starts this match, with Steiner keen to get his hands on the Hitman. Bret once again explains that there was no malice intent in his actions last week, it was a simple mistake.....but Scotty is past caring....and given the fact that we have seen what happens when Scott Steiner loses his temper in recent weeks (just ask the KLiQ) Bret could be in for a long night.

The action is good in this one and the match would be worthy of a main event placing anywhere, TV or PPV. The Bulldog and Rick trade power moves, while the Hitman and Scotty do more wrestling....although being that Steiner does have a distinct size and strength advantage, he's not shy of throwing the odd big stiff move in there too. The no count out, no disqualification stips mean that the two teams happily battle both in and out of the ring.....but it's inside the ring where the ending finally comes.

Because with Rick Steiner and the British Bulldog brawling out on the floor, Scott whips Bret into the ropes and leaps, looking for the Frankensteiner.....Hart catches his legs in mid air however and Steiner crashes to the mat, with his legs still in the Hitman's grasp. Hart sees his opportunity and quickly wraps him up and turns him over for the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Before Scott is forced to tap however......

http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/mattfletcher1980/Sid_zps1pohqtnu.jpg

.....Psycho Sid hits the ring! He grabs the Hitman by his hair and drags him off Steiner, before shoving his head between his thighs and drives Hart down hard to the mat with a stiff Powerbomb. He reaches over and drapes Scott Steiner on top of the Hitman, before throwing the official down, telling him to "count.....now".....and with the no disqualification rule in effect, there's nothing else the referee can do, other than to register the three count and declare The Steiner Brothers the victors.

Winner(s): The Steiner Brothers

The Bulldog slides into the ring, but gets met by a big boot....and another big stiff Powerbomb for good measure. Rick looks on dumbfounded as Scott slowly gets back to his feet and DiBiase climbs into the ring. He holds his hands up, telling the Steiners that Sid is only here to make sure that Hart doesn't steal the number one contender shot at Summerslam....."he's here for Hart, not you.....but me on the other hand.....I AM here for you....." He lowers the microphone and addresses the Steiner's privately. The camera tries to eavesdrop on the conversation, but only picks up a few choice words....."screwed"......."no back up"......"who can you trust"....."Corporation"....."always back my investments".......before the Million Dollar Man hands Scott what appears to be a business card, telling him that he can be reached on the number on there....."think about it"

DiBiase exits the ring, closing out the show, with Sid following him as the pair walk confidently up the aisle-way to the back.....leaving a downed Hart Foundation....a confused Rick Steiner.....and a Scott Steiner who is closely studying the card in his hand, deep in thought.....when he SHOULD be celebrating the fact that he's now going to In Your House, to face Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin, in a triangle match for the WWF Championship.

It says a lot about the desperation of Eric Bischoff to win the war for Monday Night's, when after a paltry two defeats, they have finally bit the bullet and extended Nitro to a two hour show. To be honest I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner, we've been going two hours on Monday since mid January, so it was inevitable that they would eventually follow suit......it f#####g worked as well didn't it....because our 15.00 rating came in second to their 15.21....Vince was NOT a happy man....even threatening to make Raw a three hour show in retaliation....luckily he wasn't being serious, I mean could you imagine it, three hours every Monday? Talk about over kill.

The bad news continued the minute Road Warrior Hawk stepped into the ring with Kane....not only was he already p###y about doing the job, but the second the bell rung it became obvious to everyone that he was completely wasted out of his mind on God knows what. Kane was understandably annoyed and the two men almost came to blows after the show....and had it not been for the cooler head of Animal, removing his partner from the situation then things could have gotten ugly quickly....to be fair it was probably self preservation on Animals part, because I was about two minutes away from firing his team mate....and without Hawk, I don't really have a whole lot of use for Animal. Hawk got off very, very lightly here.....a fine....but I made it clear that the ONLY reason that was so lenient, is because they are mid storyline and have a pretty high profile match lined up with Kane and Mankind at the PPV.....Animal had better keep his partner in check or the pair of them will be out of the door.

So that's all my pictures dead, thanks Photobucket, you've just made six months worth of shows virtually unreadable. Unfortunately I'm going to have to go on a brief hiatus while I decide where I'm going from here, be that finding another hosting site, disregarding the pictures all together or just calling the whole dynasty a day because all the past shows now look horrendous lol. Either way, to say I'm p####d off would be an understatement.

Totally hear this sentiment dudes...and I feel much the same way. I keep hoping that Photobucket is getting enough negative attention that they will repeal the 3rd Party hosting blocking...but either way it's probably about time to cut bait with them. The ad situation was way out of hand.

It'll be interesting to see what happens on these boards going forward...maybe we'll see a giant diary revitalization as many of the great writers (like yourselves) decide to all launch new projects simultaneously with a new picture hosting site?

I'm finding it very difficult to want to come back to my current diary because of it.

As a guy who doesn't like seeing dead images when re-reading stuff I can understand this, but no way should it stop ya from doing what you're doing. I know how important photos/graphics can be in the presentation of a dynasty, as a semi-active guy myself, but I know that the meat of my writing/booking is what hopefully keeps people from going. Take a guy like Nobby for example - never heavy on pictures, never beautiful in his presentation, but his stuff is real fun(especially if you are 2000s TNA/indy guy).

I don't follow this for the pictures - I follow it for the storylines and the developments of guy's I'm interested in. Take Hugh Morris and Al Snow, never liked either, but totally dig their segments.

Get on the imgur wagon(I've been on it for years, never had any problems) and keep going!

There are trust issues on both sides, as Steiner believes that Hart intentionally tried to screw him out of a WWF Title shot, while the Hitman is accusing Scott and his brother of selling out to the Million Dollar Man....regardless of who (if any) is right, it's made for some serious bad blood in a very short amount of time.</p><p> </p><p> Scott Steiner has been churning out some seriously impressive displays as of late, often outperforming everyone around him....including last week when he put in the performance of the night, even out shining the Excellence of Execution himself, which is no small feat. Tonight both men are clearly at their best....and it shows in the performance that they put on. It's a hard hitting affair, because despite these two men's technical abilities, flared tempers get the better of both competitors.....and the ending doesn't do anything to dispel Bret's suspicions about Scott Steiner's allegiance.....because with both men laying into each other, Ted DiBiase and Psycho Sid re-emerge at ringside....and as the Million Dollar Man ensures that he has the attention of the official, Big Sid enters the ring, where much like last week he lays Hart out with a stiff Powerbomb. Steiner doesn't help Sid, but he doesn't exactly rush to stop him either.....and although somewhat reluctantly, he does still capitalise on the assault, as he covers the Hitman for the three count. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Scott Steiner</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cxFuo6U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cxFuo6U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> While Steiner didn't move to stop Sid from aiding him in victory, he doesn't look so willing to stand by and watch as Sid continues the assault after the bell......and despite DiBiase's attempt to talk him out of it, it does look as though Steiner is about to lay a beating on the big man.....at least until.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="LjBLTcA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LjBLTcA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......Steve Austin once again comes out of the crowd and blindsides Steiner with a Stunner reminiscent of the one Shawn Michaels received earlier, before he commences to beat down on the man who will be sharing in his title opportunity come Sunday, while Sid continues to punish the Hitman.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="w3aaloG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/w3aaloG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .....which brings out Owen Hart, the British Bulldog and Rick Steiner to try and thwart the onslaught.....Owen soon finds himself otherwise occupied however, as Brian Pillman soon joins the fray and goes straight for the King of Harts......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bFSpyYx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bFSpyYx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="IYJgUWD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IYJgUWD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pzXetTl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pzXetTl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......and considering that Shawn Michaels had demanded the head of Steve Austin be served up to him on a silver platter, was it ever going to be a surprise when the KLiQ turned up? <p>So the biggest news for me coming out of Monday Night Raw, wasn't that Nitro beat us in the ratings again (even though they did) or the fact that WCW's Bash at the Beach event was a huge success (even though it was, with Ric Flair defending the WCW Title in the main event against Vader and Randy Savage....in what was quite possibly a match of the year contender)....no the biggest news for me was that I have had to scrap one of the proposed matches for In Your House, after young Rocky Maivia landed awkwardly during him match with Barry Windham, lacerating his liver in the process. Luckily the kid will only be out for about a month, it could have been a lot worse for him.....welcome to the business young man, a month or so into your WWF Career and you've already picked up an injury. Anyway, because of this the six man tag match I had booked between the Sons of Samoa and the Texas Long Riders/Jesse James has been put on the back burner for now, maybe if Maivia makes it back in time we will see this match at Summerslam, but to be fair, Summerslam is already a pretty stacked card, so there might not even be room....bad timing Rocky, bad timing.</p><p> </p><p> I did think about adding the Rikishi and Kokina vs Bradshaw and Windham to this card, but we saw that not long back so I'm reluctant to do so.....maybe we will see a last minute addition to the card on the night, time restraints will tell....anyway, speaking of In your House....</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="80KQxoo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/80KQxoo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for In Your House, Week 3, July 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Championship: Triple Threat Match</strong></p><p> Shawn Michaels © vs. Scott Steiner vs. Steve Austin</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner gets a WWF Title shot at Summerslam</strong></p><p> Bret Hart vs. Psycho Sid</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Tag Team Championships: Hall & Nash must have one hand tied behind their backs</strong></p><p> The KLiQ © (Hall & Nash) vs. Al Snow & Bill DeMott</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Intercontinental Championship</strong></p><p> Hunter Hearst Helmsley © vs Marc Mero</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Light Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p> Sean Waltman © vs. Chris Jericho</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>If Mysterio wins he receives a Light Heavyweight Title shot at Summerslam</strong></p><p> Rey Mysterio vs. Justin Credible</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Owen Hart vs. Brian Pillman</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Legion of Doom vs. Kane & Mankind</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>So I started reading this when it first started, but I didn't stick with it at that time. I don't know if the backstory lost me or if I just wasn't interested in what you were selling at the time. But after seeing that it hasn't died off and that it has a pretty strong following, I gave it another shot. I read the whole thing up until the last two shows off and on within the past two weeks, and I'm impressed with what I see. You have a solid foundation going on what could be a very long game, and I dig that. Keep up the good work, man <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Shawn Michaels - <em>While this feels like a point that Shawn could drop the belt, I don't think he's going to. Austin is on the rise and Steiner may be almost to the top of the mountain, but this is all about the KLiQ, and they need to re-establish their dominance in the sea of subplots that are going around.</em></p><p>

Bret Hart - <em>Hart vs. Michaels II at Summerslam? Does that mean you should subtitle the event "Sunny Days"?</em></p><p>

Hall & Nash - <em>Here's one thing that reading the whole game in a few sittings can do;</em></p><p><em>

it gives a bit of perspective to where characters are at. I loved the hard edge that these two were bringing toward the start of the game and right when the KLiQ founded, but they seem to be lost in the shuffle of being "members" of the KLiQ. It's like their edge has dulled now that Austin and Pillman are running wild. This is why I mentioned the "sea of subplots" in the other comment. It's a tough balance having a world dominating stable like an nWo, because you don't want them to be on the entire card. But they are your bread and butter, so it's high time for them to prove why they run the show again.</em></p><p>

3H</p><p>

Sean Waltman</p><p>

Rey Mysterio - <em>Justin is the only KLiQ member to drop the match, but it's gonna be a quickie flash pin that won't make him lose much face in the group.</em></p><p>

Owen Hart - <em>Pillman is the type of character who can take a loss and it doesn't matter. This could be just an intentional DQ.</em></p><p>

Kane and Mankind - <em>I kinda dig Cornette for the role of Kane's manager, he has a very distinct voice and style that resonates. It also keeps him at the top of the show in his own way. I do think that Paul turning on Taker is something that needs to happen for their characters, that doesn't have to happen anytime soon, as Corny can carry the feud until then. The LOD are simply sacrificial lambs here to put over these big bads.</em></p>

Part of Michaels mini call to arms this week was actually because of that exact reason....with first Steiner taking the KLiQ out and now Austin and Pillman running wild, they have certainly taken an unintentional mini back seat....unintentional because Scott Steiner was only ever supposed to be a throw away title challenge....but then the son of a bitch went and got himself super over and worked his ass off in the meantime lol. Look for the KLiQ to try and re-establish their dominance in the coming weeks. </p><p> </p><p> On a side note it's good to have you aboard, I've always enjoyed your work, in fact while I briefly took charge of WCW to change Nitro to a two hour show a few weeks back, I was planning on setting up a Kings of Wrestling inspired stable, with Hogan, Macho and the Warrior.....unfortunately the whole Photobucket shamble meant getting this show ready took longer than anticipated and I simply couldn't be bothered to book a few weeks worth of WCW shows on top.</p>
