Viva La Lucha opened their prestigious doors in 1923, founded by El Espiritu.</p><p>

MHW Mexican Hardcore Wrestling founded 1938 by Ramon Gimenez who remained owner until forced to sell in 1938 to Simon Ruiz aged 35 a former staple of SELL until 1939. Still active on the roster.</p><p> </p><p>

Based in Northern Mexico and currently ranked 6th in the world. Financially they are right on the brink of going out of business again 27th/28th.</p><p>

They famously went bust in 1938 before Ruiz was able to plug the finances and bring them back.</p><p> </p><p>

Regional in size since 1941</p><p> </p><p>

MHW offer an anti-establishment rebel culture, a bloody mix of weapons and Lucha Libre but have no titles in play at the moment.</p><p> </p><p>

Tell me about it! Looking at the trends as i move forwards is great, it does take ages and i mean ages... To sim through each year now.

 

What i find interesting about Mexico at this time is that they have 4 out of 28 live companies around the world yet have spot 2&3 locked down and another at 6th.

 

Their financial muscle at the top is impressive too.

 

So whilst it seems JCW are clear and out favourite to dominate... I think once TV deals pick up and companies get to national things may change.

 

By 1950 JCW are cult and a fair way off national. Many of the global chasing pack are regional going on cult so by 1980 i expect each nation to have at least one national fed which could lead to a global battle which i find an interesting alternative to a USA dominated scene at that level

 

Oh and MHW running a mildly successful company with no title belts! Yet 6th most popular world wide

All but two were title matches!</p><p> Average B- with highest B+ </p><p> So skill wise he is well on the decline and arguably is using his popularity and recognition to help younger talent grow.</p>
