New Fire Pro Wrestling game!

I briefly tried one of their games through emulator, but never got the appeal. It seems to me the game is often championed by disgruntled gamers who are unhappy with the status of AAA wrestling games (especially the non-WWE ones, if there are any). I'll definitely keep track of the game, though. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

So yeah, being 'disgruntled' has nothing to do with it in my case. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I can definitely understand it not being everyone's cup of tea though.</p>

<p>I just bought yet another copy of Fire Pro Returns for a whopping 12 bucks from someone who didn't know what they had. I always wanted to download the customs for it but never could figure it out. If I rom'd it on my computer i'd imagine it would be easier. Glad to see Firepro get some love, I used to be on their forums. </p><p> </p><p>

My dad got me Firepro for the gameboy and I was instantly addicted even though I could never play it. I would do leagues and tournaments all day and just watch what happened. There began my love for simulation (which sometimes is a curse because I was so spoiled by it!)</p>

<p>Way easier to handle mods/edits on an emulated version but I would still recommend the PS3 version. Super easy to deal with customs, etc. PS2 edit handling was a real pain because you needed a third party disc and some sort of contraption and a million of memory cards. Its been ages since I've had to deal with that and the disc and contraption weren't mine. But yeah, PS3 is the way to go for Fire Pro Returns.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm super stoked for Fire Pro World.</p>

<p>If it would be tied to some sort of limited booking engine where you could watch the matches it would be something I'd be potentially interested in. But if it's cheap as most other earlyaccess/greenlight-games, I'll end up buying it anyway (just like Pro Wrestling X, which was 10$). On the latter: seems they added some moves, but I still find it practically unplayable though I'm confident it will be one day.</p><p> </p><p>

If anything I'm more eager for another basic manager like SD! vs RAW. Too bad I didn't like the gameplay that much, but the GM mode was quite frankly the only thing I played. It's fun to watch the superstars representing your brand and root for 'em.</p>

They haven't announced any management mode thus far, but we can always hope. Otherwise, Fire Pro is still a phenomenal wrestling sim. Nothing to stop you from setting up your own promotion/league/tournament and watching the CPU whoop on itself. But you're right, some sort of GM mode would be ideal.

So far its going to be a PC and PS4 Exclusive. With PC getting the game first in the form of an early access release, and probably better support and edit sharing via steam workshop. Apparently they're still trying to work out many of the online features for PS4.
