There are lots of mods with old style territory wrestling out there heck even the C-verse itself has a lot of those elements, I figured people might appreciate the Good Brothers riffing on that. Gallows character Sex Ferguson was a cult thing for $5 Wrestling and is being rebranded as Tex Ferguson for this. It looks both terrible and wonderful in equal measures. So seeing Voo and Doo turn up or the Butchers wasn't as surreal as those first season reveals were. I also missed the chickens!</p><p> </p><p> That said seeing how Chett became a complete wreck so quickly was kinda great, Jericho's douche interviewing Desperado is a thing of beauty, Every moment with Susan on screen and Dung's interview technique are laugh out loud good and Lance's immortal line "How could you hire just one ... one ... you need two" was the kind of meta joke that works so well for Southpaw. The Rene Beret being disgustingly nice and still treated as a stereotypical foreign heel was great. Ironically the best meta joke is left for last with the stereotypical Animal House style statements of what happens to the characters post episode. Also can't wait for John Johnson to defend his championship.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well this is where the joke gets even more obtuse - season 2 is chronologically before season 1 which is why we get to see Susan and then Chett's almost instant transformation from normalish human to complete human refuse. So the Surfer Dudes with Attitude are the gimmick to come for the Danger Zone. Sure he's Bobski but it works because it's Jericho whose known Natalya since she's a youngish girl which adds a whole extra level of creepy to Bobski. </p><p> </p><p> With the Chickens the reason we don't get them is Rusev was injured when this was filmed and was off doing overseas promo stuff when they filmed the episodes. We also don't get to see any Harper's hairy giant luchadore or Cesaro as a Sea Creature because they were being introduced in the first series which is the future.
