This is Richard Eisen, owner of the Supreme Wrestling Federation™.

I've been assured this arrangement will be worth the hassle of corresponding with you in this fashion, rather than meeting with you in person. This is all rather unorthodox, but Jerry is quite sure you're the man to fill the void and get this company back where it belongs, on top. But make no mistake - I want results and I want them quickly.

With that said, I have some requests of you before you start work tomorrow. Firstly, I expect you to be careful with my money (this should go without saying). Any transactions go through me and while I'm willing to support my company, I won't be pouring money down the drain. Second, for the time being, I expect you to keep this company on an even keel - not just financially but in stature. I'm sure you understand, this is a pivotal period of time in the wrestling business. This company has been a national staple and I expect it to stay that way. So don't do anything stupid.

In regards to talent, I trust that you have your own ideas and that's what you've been hired for. The contract release of Captain Atomic has been taken care of. However, I do have a couple of recommendations that I trust you will take on board. Over the next two years, I want you to turn Frederique Antonio Garcia into a main event talent. He's been with this company for a decade now and I think it's time he got his shot. Heck of a body. Longer term, I see big things in this kid Mikey Lau. Make sure you keep him front of mind. Give it two/three years and he should be in a position to contribute higher up the card.

You're free to sign new talent, provided you spend my money wisely. I have just three demands. None of those 'mixed martial artists'. We're Sports Entertainment, not cage fighting and I've been lead to believe fighters are rather self-interested, headstrong negotiators. Besides, we have Lau for that kind of thing. Steer clear of anyone with problems outside of the ring. And thirdly, focus on new stars. Anyone over the age of 45, forget it. No nostalgia acts. We're not USPW.

My son Jerry will largely be corresponding with you from this point onwards, keeping you up to date with what you need to know. He's more for this e-mail thing than I am. However, should any problems arise, I will be in touch.

I look forward to working with you and taking this company new, greater heights.

Before the show...

We've got a couple of situations here that I need to run by you before the show gets going. My brother and Joe Sexy got into things earlier in the day, the boys seem to think that Eric was the one who instigated things. I don't know what was said, Eric doesn't seem too talkative all of a sudden (that makes a change), but luckily nothing much came of the fight.

Seems like Big Smack was starting some trouble too with Bekowski, things didn't get physical but Big Smack was definitely running his mouth. Welcome to the company

I don't know if the boys are taking liberties with this new arrangement thinking they can push their luck, or maybe it's something of nothing. Either way lemme know how you want them both dealt with and we'll get right on it.

SWF SUPREME TV - JAN WEEK 1

(Plum Park - Newark, New Jersey; 15,000 in attendance [sELLOUT])

9.93 Rating - 7,454,740 viewers

After a new, updated for 2016 opening video package played and the camera had panned the crowd, our announce team of Duane Fry and Emma Chase welcomed us to the first edition of Supreme TV of the new year, with two major happenings to kick 2016 off. Ahead of their shots at the SWF World Title in the triple threat match with Remo in nine days time, Angry Gilmore and Rogue would get a chance to build momentum as they go one on one in a rematch from Supreme Challenge 35. (B-) Plus, live tonight, the long awaited return of the six time World Champion, the one and only Jack Bruce. (B)

The Awesomeness vs. Steven Parker and Brett Biggins
Our first contest of the year sees the World Tag Team Champions in action, rocking their brand new 'Awesome Is Everything' t-shirts on their way to the ring. Their opponents were a makeshift combination, although Biggins has plenty of tag team experience and Parker is a rising star in his own right. Tag team experience would win out though as The Awesomeness were able to hold off Parker's attempts at a comeback and turn the tides with a kick from the apron by Stardust, catching Parker in the back of the head. Dazed, Parker was then easy pickings for the Shock And Awe from the champions, picking up another victory.

As The Awesomeness celebrate after the match, Emma hypes their recent run, confident that this was the beginning of a star making run as champions. (D+)

With Jack Bruce's return still to come, highlights were shown of some of his Greatest Hits, starting with his first SWF World Championship victory, when he defeated Runaway Train back in August of 2007. (B-)

Standing by backstage, Ana Garcia was with one of the number one contenders to the World Title, Rogue. Rogue's attentions were firmly on Angry Gilmore, the man who took the World Championship away from him. How fitting then that he was going to go through Gilmore to get back what he'd worked so hard to attain. Rogue told Gilmore that sure, he might have had his moment in the sun at Supreme Challenge but that was then and now, without that belt, Gilmore might not be an also-ran anymore, but he would be a one-hit wonder. (B-)

American Machine w/BJ O'Neill vs. Bear Bekowski
The announcers hyped this as a real heavyweight clash, as the animalistic strength of the big Bear squared off with the more refined power of American Machine. For a brief while, it seemed like Bear's aggressive start might overwhelm the Machine, as he beat his opponent down and used some not very pretty but effective offence to keep him there. The Machine soon fought back though and impressed the crowd by getting his larger opponent up for a number of power moves. Bekowski, maybe not used to being thrown around in such a manner, didn't seem to have an answer as the Old Glory got Machine the victory.

We cut to a video package hyping the World Title match in nine days time between Remo, Rogue and Gilmore. (B)

In another video highlighting some of Jack Bruce's most memorable moments, his victory over Eric Eisen at Supreme Challenge 30, capturing his third and perhaps most important World Title was covered. (B-)

We returned to the ring to find Eric Eisen waiting with microphone in hand, strangely not too put-out at the video everyone just saw. In fact Eric seemed in a great mood as he addressed the crowd and informed them tonight is a night for the history books. Eric claimed that if the Eisen family were known for one thing, it was their giving nature. He would go on to say that not everyone could hold the SWF World Heavyweight Championship, not everyone could be a future Hall Of Famer and certainly not everyone could be an Eisen, but if you were lucky, very lucky, you could say "I beat Eric Eisen". That's because, starting tonight, he was issuing an open challenge to anybody who thought they had what it takes to beat him and skyrocket themselves up the ladder towards super-stardom. (B)

Eric Eisen vs. Oliver Kobb
First to step up to the plate, Oliver Kobb was also stepping up in class, as was pretty evident in this match. Despite a game effort, Eisen just had too much for Fast Ball and after avoiding a last ditch Kobb move from the second rope, Eisen finally put his first challenger away with The Supremacy.

Eric would celebrate his win after the match, perhaps more enthusiastically than was warranted. Certainly that's what Duane felt, but Emma disagreed, re-iterating that this was an historic win. (C+)

Backstage, Ana Garcia is standing by, with the former North American Champion, Paul Huntingdon. Clearly agitated, Huntingdon quickly took offence to Ana's line of questioning, insisting that he should still be the champion and his actions in recent weeks were simply to prove that. Huntingdon claimed that Joey Morgan wasn't on his level either culturally, economically or in the ring and when he received his rightful shot at the belt he would prove that, once and for all. (C+)

Valiant w/Hannah vs. Squeeky McClean
What Squeeky might lack in strength and toughness, he makes up for in savvy and he was savvy enough to know that Valiant was someone to tread lightly against. As such, Squeeky spent a lot of the early going outside of the ring in an effort to cut off Valiant's momentum any time he looked like he had Squeeky in trouble. Valiant was ready for this and able to keep his frustrations in check, but he'd soon have something else to distract from his rhythm, as Brandon James would walk out onto the stage with Krissy Angelle by his side, watching the match with great interest. Whether James appearing was key to this or not, Squeeky found himself in control soon afterwards and looked to wear Valiant down, keeping him on the mat where he couldn't do too much damage. James and Angelle remained on the rampway for the duration, as Valiant would fight back and leave Squeeky reeling. Squeeky showed his resoursefulness to stay in the match and even make a fight of it again by the end. James's stare would grow more and more fixed, as a roll up from Squeeky wasn't enough and after avoiding the Stain Removal, Valiant would hit the V-Split and gain the win.

Brandon James looks on from the top of the ramp with a scowl, returned in kind by Valiant, who's eyes seem set, literally, on Big Money despite the win. (B-)

Another video of Jack Bruce's Greatest Hits focused on him defeating James to win his sixth and most recent SWF World Title at Supreme Challenge 34. (B-)

The next video we would see wasn't quite such a highlight for Jack, as coming back from commercial, a recap of The Crippler putting him out of action with the tombstone on the chair was shown. (B)

After the big build up, the moment finally arrived, as to a huge response, Jack Bruce made his way out to the ring for the first time in four months. Soaking up the adulation of the crowd, Bruce took a while to speak, before thanking everyone for the warm welcome back and saying how much he'd missed being in the ring surrounded by them. Bruce then went on to address the reason he hadn't been around lately, Chris Morrisette. He talked about sitting at home, watching Chris go around calling himself "The Crippler", trying to make a name for himself at the expense of what he did to him and how he understood what was going on. He knew exactly why Chris was trying so hard to make everyone take him seriously. But Bruce explained he already took Chris seriously. He knew the ability and the passion Chris had and it didn't take a tombstone on a chair to prove it, it took eleven plus years of working with the guy, up and down the roads. The crowd saw it too. But Chris had turned his back on them and he'd turned his back on Jack. So now, Bruce said he'd have no problem giving "The Crippler" what he thought he wanted. This was his shot at the big time and there was nobody more big time than Jack Bruce. Bruce announced that the Jack Is Back Tour 2016 started tonight in New Jersey. And at When Hell Freezes Over in nine days time, Jack said he was going to prove that he was better than ever. (B+)

Jungle Lord vs. Joe Sexy
Joe Sexy had his hands full in this one, as Jungle Lord was typically full of energy and took the fight right to Joe at the start. Sexy's best strategy was to try and calm Jungle Lord down a little which he attempted to do, with only sporadic success. Eventually Sexy found a way to stop even the Jungle Lord, a thumb to the eye, at which point Sexy began to gain some control working the leg and found some time to interact with some of the female fans in the crowd. A little too much fan interaction lead to Jungle climbing off the mat and surprising Sexy with an electric chair drop before picking up the pace again. The match would take a turn late on though, with a little outside interference. With Jungle Lord thrown to the outside, Sexy suddenly seemed eager to fight again and tried to get outside, with the official forced to keep Sexy back. As Sexy pleaded his case, suddenly, from the back appeared The Platinum Blondes, attacking Jungle Lord from behind! Sexy continued to keep the referee tied up as Frederique and Prudence put a swift but harsh beating on Jungle Lord, hurling him into the barricade before Prudence would shove him into a big clothesline from Frederique. The duo would then bundle Jungle Lord back into the ring, the official none the wiser and perfectly willing to count the pin after Sexy hit Jungle Lord with an academic One Night Stand.

If there were any doubts about Sexy's knowledge over The Platinum Blondes involvement, the fact the three celebrated together in the aisle after the match quickly put pay to them, causing the announcers to speculate what this new alliance was all about. (C+)

We go to the back, where The Pain Alliance have commandeered a camera man. Scott explained, angrily, that SWF officials had told them that if they wanted another shot at the Tag Team Titles, they needed to prove they deserve one. Laramee claimed everyone knew that The Pain Alliance were the toughest tag team in SWF history and if the SWF brass wanted proof, then they were going to give them their proof. What followed was footage of The Pain Alliance trawling around the backstage area, grabbing random members of staff or just random passers by and convincing them, under some duress, to state that they were the toughest team in the SWF. Amongst those 'asked' their opinion was Jerry Eisen, who far from being intimidated seemed pretty amused by the whole situation, but did play along so they'd let him be. The Pain Alliance even called into a local convenience store across the street, getting the guy behind the counter to vouch for them as well, before asking what more proof SWF management needed, The Pain Alliance were the toughest team in the SWF, to which the camera man (after being told to) nodded in agreement. ©

With the main event up next, we find the World Champion Remo backstage, settling down to watch on a monitor in the locker room. (B-)

Angry Gilmore w/Jessie vs. Rogue
With When Hell Freezes Over nine days away, the two number one contenders had no intention of holding back here, giving it all they had and then some in an all out, exhausting main event. This was the World Championship match at last year's Supreme Challenge and tonight's match evoked memories of that encounter, with big kickouts and caution thrown to the wind from both competitors. As the match wore on, Chase could clearly sense the frustration in Rogue, well aware of what a victory over Gilmore meant to her former charge. Try as he might, Rogue couldn't keep Gilmore down, although in fairness Gilmore couldn't quite put the Brit away either. A Sky High Elbow from Gilmore wasn't enough, but neither was Crashing On from Rogue, leaving him exasperated at the referee. Rogue tried to channel his frustrations into beating Gilmore down rather than letting his focus go, but after all the big moves and signature spots, it was a crafty rollup that sealed the win, as Gilmore would catch Rogue out of nowhere with a schoolboy and keep him down just long enough to get the three.

Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, 21:04

Rogue responded about as well as you'd expect and as Gilmore had his hand raised in victory, Rogue would club Gilmore in the back of the head and attack him with stomps, in a clear display of sore losing. Rogue would ignore both the bell being rung and the referee's attempts to get him to stomp, swatting him away. But Rogue wasn't able to swat away the other man who appeared in the ring, as Remo made his way down and levelled Rogue with a clothesline. The crowd would initially cheer this, but it soon became clear that Remo wasn't playing any favourites, as he attacked both Rogue and Gilmore, with both too exhausted to fight back. Gilmore would be hit with a short clothesline as well and Remo was left to stand tall, sending a clear message just over a week away from When Hell Freezes Over. (B-)

Post Show Report
That's show one in the books. Here's your first report from the backstage team.

Incidents of note
Big Smack and Eric both took their warnings and hopefully that'll be the end of that. Handling them both with kid gloves is probably the wise move.

The Positives
BJ and American Machine are pretty good together. We knew that, obviously, but just to clue you in.

Ana Garcia seems to be settling into her gimmick. Having her act as a Diva is a little unconventional, but for some reason it seems to be working. Maybe run with it and see what comes of it? If she's sticking to just doing interviews then changing things up might not be strictly necessary.

Laramee did well in the Pain Alliance skit.

The Negatives
Okay, a couple of issues with how the show was laid out, just something to bear in mind going forward. Sexy and Jungle Lord. Having them work a match to work the crowd worked better in theory than practice, especially coming after Jack's promo. And then, the main event. While it definitely got the crowd going, I think telling them to steal the show like that might have been a little counter-productive. It felt like it peaked too early. And while Gilmore can handle that kind of pace, it seemed like it was catching up on Rogue by the end of it.

While Laramee did well in the Pain Alliance deal, Scott wasn't so great. I don't think he's too keen on learning scripts though so you might have to deal with this as you go. Also, working me in with a script didn't go so well. FYI, it's hard to recite lines when Big Smack starts screaming at you mid-sentence.

Parker is going to need a gimmick change at some point, this Franchise Player stuff isn't suiting him, particularly as a babyface.

Talent Concerns
I take it by now you've had a chance to look over all the reports we filed on Rhode Island. Well, I hope so, because we've got a bunch of guys and girls wanting to be put on the main roster soon. Spencer Spade, who I'm sure you'll know, and Emmy both want up. Spade is the RIPW Champion though. Masked Patriot, Primus Allen and Kristen Pearce have all made it clear they want to be promoted as well. Let me know if and when you want to call any of them up.

JOJI's contract should be finalised in the next couple of days and he'll be starting up in Rhode Island ASAP.

In addition getting rid of Captain Atomic causes you to lose a competent Face Tag Team (The Hero Squad) and a upper-card Face (which SWF kinda needs)

Asked about his match with Jack Bruce in two nights time, The Crippler said he wanted to address the elephant in the room. He knew it, the fans knew it and most importantly of all, Jack knew it- his neck isn't 100%. He claimed that while Jack might have fooled everyone else, he hadn't fooled everybody. While everyone else was listening to Jack putting on a brave front and deluding them into thinking he was back at full strength, he was watching closely for every little movement of the neck, every little grimace that Jack failed to hide. The Crippler said that tonight would be a little preview and that in two days, he'd take care of whatever was left of Jack's neck, turning his comeback tour into a retirement one. Valiant seemed pretty focused on the task at hand though as he gave Monty more than he could handle in the early stages. Monty's best tactic was apparently to try and wear Valiant down, but Valiant wasn't in the mood to be kept on the mat and had Monty reeling once more. Well aware that things weren't going his way, Trescarde wouldn't hang around much longer to see what else Valiant would throw at him, deciding to simply walk out of the match and hand Valiant an unsatisfying win via count-out. Winner: Valiant, via count-out, 6:15 (C-)</div> Valiant was clearly a little frustrated despite the win, despite Hannah's efforts to point that out to him. Frustration would turn to anger though as he spotted Brandon James walk out onto the stage with Krissy Angelle by his side. With Valiant and James locking eyes, Krissy handled the talking, claiming Valiant got away easy tonight, but wouldn't be so lucky in two days. Pointing out that James had unfinished business with him, Krissy informed Valiant that he'd cost both of them a lot of money and now it was payback time. James would prove why he was deserving of a World Championship opportunity at the PPV and if Valiant's little "wallflower manager" even so much as looked at her funny, she'd take care of her as well. Hannah ignored this threat and tried to make sure Valiant remained calm, as Krissy and James left, the two men still glaring at each other right up until the moment James disappeared backstage. (B-)</div></blockquote> The cameras quickly cut to the parking lot, where unannounced, Jack Bruce was arriving at the building. As Jack headed towards the arena, Jerry Eisen had spotted him and ran up to Bruce with a concerned look on his face. Jerry questioned if it was a good idea for Jack to be here, which Jack took exception to, asking Jerry exactly what he meant by that. Jerry tried to explain but Bruce thought the message was clear, Jerry didn't think he was 100%. Unable to hide his concern Jerry said he was just looking out for Jack, but Jack informed him he didn't need to, passing Jerry and walking towards the entrance to the building. (B-) Back from break, Eric Eisen stood in the middle of the ring, addressing the crowd about the success of his Open Invitational last week. And the good news was, he would be bringing the Invitational to PPV at When Hell Freezes Over. Eisen talked up the "tough battle" he went through in the first match a little too strongly but claimed he saved his best performances for when the lights were on brightest. As Eric continued to talk himself up, he would be interrupted by the music of Steven Parker, which Eric seemed confused about. Parker said that since Eric was offering an opportunity, he was there to take it, drawing a roll of the eyes from Eric. Parker would add that he wasn't just after the opportunity though, he was going to beat Eric. Eisen took exception to that and tried to intimidate the youngster, but clearly Parker was having none of it and shoved Eisen back. Laughing it off, Eric told Parker that he'd just made a big mistake, sarcastically welcoming him to the big leagues before he left the ring. (C-) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Angry Gilmore w/Jessie vs. Big Smack Scott Emma Chase claimed that Gilmore had surely drawn the shortest straw here tonight, because Scott certainly wasn't her idea of a warm-up opponent. Sure enough, Scott was here to win and gave Gilmore a rough go of things in this one, testing Gilmore's abilities to the fullest. Gilmore clearly had Scott beat in a straight up wrestling capacity, but the bigman's power was a different story. And Scott clearly had his own point to prove, making a belt motion around his waist more than once while he had Gilmore in a compromising position. Gilmore showed his resilency though, as well as his resourcefulness, first by fighting back into the match and then by drawing Scott into a number of mistakes, outwrestling BSS and eventually catching him with the Anger Management for a tough victory. Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, 7:45 (B-)</div> Gilmore celebrates post match, looking good heading into Thursday night.(B-)</div></blockquote> After a commercial break, we saw Jessie returning to the locker room area, pleased at a successful night for her husband. And besides, she was getting sick of waiting for Jessie to get her a job or an interview or you know what, even just a reference would have been nice, after all what good is it being a TV star if you're not going to call in some favours and use some of that fame? Clearly the talkative nature of this newcomer was no surprise to Jessie who waited for her to finish, before asking what exactly she means by 'help'. When she began to elaborate, Jessie decided that actually, they should go discuss this somewhere else and escorted her out of the room. (D+) In the ring, the World Tag Team Champions were stood by. The duo were in high spirits, still glowing from their recent recapturing of the titles. Huey said that people might be expecting them to be focused on their upcoming rematch with The Amazing Bumfholes, but let's face it, that was pretty much a foregone conclusion so why waste people's time talking about it? Instead, Jefferson said they were out there to talk about something more relevant to your desires- them. Quite clearly, in Huey's mind, they were untouchable as the top tag team in the SWF. But, just why were they so good? They could stand there and list off reasons all night, but they had a better idea. Why not give the fans of Tennesse a real musical treat and give them an Awesome performance, a capella? ("That's Spanish for no guitars", Huey informs the crowd). The fans clearly weren't down for this and booed in response, but The Awesomeness didn't seem to notice as they were handed stools from ringside and began to harmonise amongst themselves preparing to perform. Unfortunately, there were a couple of stage crashers on hand, as Zimmy and Randy hopped the rail behind the oblivious champions and waited for their moment to strike. Huey would count himself and Jefferson in, ready to launch into their performance, but they barely got through the intro before they were spun around and levelled with right hands from the Bumfholes. A dropkick launched Jefferson over the top, Huey double clotheslined out with him, before the Bumfholes busted one of the stools and sent the other one flying down the ramp towards the retreating champions, who looked aghast at being upstaged by their challengers in two nights time. © A video hyping Jack Bruce versus The Crippler at When Hell Freezes Over aired and focused on the tombstone piledriver which put Jack out of action. The commentators would spend the match speculating on Bruce's actual condition and, if he was 100%, how long he'd stay that way if The Crippler were to compete like this on Thursday night. Retro would surprise The Crippler by putting up some resistance towards the end of the match and it looked like The Crippler's pre-occupation with working the neck as opposed to finishing the match might even cost him. A missed charge in the corner proved costly though and it lead to The Crippler finishing Retro off with a tombstone piledriver. Winner: The Crippler, via pinfall, 8:29 (B-)</div> With Retro looking in a bad way, the referee checked on him after the match, but The Crippler wasn't done yet and pushed the official aside. Grabbing hold of Retro by the afro, The Crippler began to slowly peel him off the mat, another tombstone presumably in mind. Before that could happen though, Jack Bruce would hit the ring to make the save! The Crippler didn't seem overly surprised by this and got the jump on Bruce as he slid into the ring, but Bruce would fight back, an all out slugfest ensuing between the two opponents this Thursday night. Bruce would get the better of things but couldn't seem to capitalise, opening him up for a knee to the ribs. The Crippler then got a firm grip on Bruce's head... but Bruce would fight back again, backing The Crippler against the ropes and flipping him to the outside with a sudden burst of adrenaline and a clothesline. Rolling to his feet, The Crippler thinks better of carrying the fight on and backs up the aisle, a little stunned to have been cleared from the ring. A smile seems to creep onto his face though, as he watches an unsteady Bruce brush off the referee's concern for him, fighting back a grimace but holding his neck as he kneels down to check Retro is okay. Evenly fought, it would be Sexy's veteran instincts that looked to swing the tide of this contest, as he pushed the referee into the ropes to crotch Morgan on the top rope. Sexy clearly thought he had the title well in hand and stopped to pose. That proved to be premature though, as mid-pose, Jungle Lord would slide into the ring and level Sexy with a clothesline, much to the crowd's delight. Winner: Joe Sexy, via disqualification, 11:23 (B-)</div> The referee immediately calls for the bell as Jungle Lord continues his assault, hitting a couple more clotheslines. Huntingdon spots his opportunity and slides in to go after Morgan, sparking a four man brawl as Jungle Lord hammers on Sexy in the corner. The four continue to brawl despite the referee's best efforts and it takes The Platinum Blondes to come to the ring for things to calm down. Freqerique and Prudence are able to pull Sexy to safety, helping him to the back, while Morgan is finally able to fight off Huntingdon and send him to the floor. Jungle Lord is left pacing in the ring as Morgan invites Huntingdon to join them, but Blue Blood declines. (C+)</div></blockquote> A video package aired hyping the World Championship triple threat match at When Hell Freezes Over. (B) Emma and Duane went over what happened at the conclusion of the North American Title match and announced that SWF management had acted quickly to ensure the four men involved will get their chance to go it again- Joey Morgan would team with Jungle Lord at When Hell Freezes Over to take on Joe Sexy and Paul Huntingdon. Clearly inspired by the opportunity, American Machine gave Remo a stiffer test than he might have been expecting and showed that he was capable of mixing it with the main players in singles competition. To be fair to Remo, he did wear the Machine down, but crucially he couldn't seem to put Machine away. Allowing Machine to hang around would be something Remo would regret, as the match wore on in length and American Machine would get back into the contest, cheered on by BJ O'Neill from ringside. Machine didn't quite have enough to beat the champion in the end and Remo would manage to come away with the win with The Destroyer. Remo had clearly been pushed though and the announcers would speculate whether that would effect him on Thursday. Winner: Remo, via pinfall, 10:01 (B)</div> Remo wasn't able to think about Thursday just yet though as Rogue would emerge from the back, congratulating Remo on his win. Rogue told him to enjoy it while it lasts though, because he wouldn't be walking out of When Hell Freezes Over as champion. Remo heard Rogue out and simply invited him to get in the ring, with Rogue warning Remo that the champion wouldn't be able to jump him from behind like he did last week. Remo waves Rogue on again and it seems like Rogue is ready to take him up on the offer, dropping the microphone and climbing up onto the apron. Remo is ready for him, but Rogue breaks out into a smirk and drops off the apron, telling Remo he'll see him Thursday night. What Rogue doesn't see though is Angry Gilmore running down the ramp behind him, to a roar from the crowd. Gilmore spins Rogue around and nails him with a chop, looking to give Rogue a receipt for his attack last week. Referee and officials hit the ring to keep the fight from spilling out of control though, with Gilmore pulled off of Rogue and Remo's path out of the ring being blocked, leaving him to watch on angrily as the show goes off the air. That needs fixing. Fast. <ul><li>Incidents of note </li></ul> Both John Greed and BJ O'Neill were brought before Wrestler's Court before the show. Greed had left Everest waiting to be picked up after our last show for an hour and the big guy didn't much appreciate being left out in the cold. Enforcer Roberts deemed that Greed would have to pay for their meals for the next three show. Hopefully Greed's got deep pockets. Both he and O'Neill seemed to respond well. The Enforcer does good work. <ul><li>The Positives </li></ul> Well, the rating was up. <ul><li>The Negatives </li></ul> So, you could probably tell this from watching, but that Valiant/Trescarde match just didn't work. They looked awful at points. Ending it on a cheap count-out might have been a blessing. Parker looked pretty poor on the mic. His gimmick really isn't helping him either. Speaking of gimmicks, you might want to think about changing up the Bumfholes a bit. Randy's doing better with his act, but Zimmy not so much. Brett was really off his game in the six man tag. I don't know if it's got anything to do with him taking the pin or not. Machine was struggling a little in the main event too, maybe some big match jitters or something. Kobb underperformed in the dark match. For the likes of Lau, Hernandez, Smoke and Starr this was a chance to rise up the rankings, for Greed and Biggins a chance to get back into the mix. As you would expect, momentum swung quickly in this one, with quick tags and five opponents to deal with no-one was able to stay on top for long. All six men would have their moments to shine before the first elimination saw the ring clear enough for Hernandez to launch into Apparition #14, pinning Sammy Smoke. Hernandez would be gone himself a minute or so later though, as Starr's sly kick from the apron stopped Hernandez from building steam against Greed and a Hollywood Hammer would send the high flier packing. That left four competitors, the two more experienced competitors and two of the younger upstarts. Greed and Starr quickly formed an alliance, focusing their attentions on Biggins. Miscommunication would lead to an arguement between the two though and Lau would take advantage, launching into a flurry of kicks on both men. Lau was stopped briefly, but got a boot up on Greed as Starr held him in place, then surprised Starr with a quick rollup to eliminate him. Next to go would be Biggins after Greed hit the Crash Diet, leaving Lau and Greed as the final two in the match. The first ever pay per view edition of the Eric Eisen Open Invitational. Eric would list some of the great names in pay per view boxing, prize fighters who sold tickets purely on their name value. And while ocassionally they'd be thrown a few tomato cans to take care of, the thrill of seeing them compete was still worth the money. The crowd didn't seem to agree and Eric ripped into a few of them, much to Emma's amusement, before inviting his opponent out so the real special attraction of the evening could get underway. Despite this, The Awesomeness came in confident, openly mocking Zimmy and Randy on their way to the ring. The match seemed to go as planned, at least at first, The Awesomeness celebrating every minor victory and treating the match like a foregone conclusion. That overconfidence would eventually bite them as the Bumfholes showed more and more what they could do, wiping The Awesomeness out with double dives and forcing Huey and Jefferson to get a little more serious. The Awesomeness would take control with some ref misdirection and worked over Randy for a few minutes, heads now firmly in the game. The Bumfholes weren't five time champs for nothing though and even against focused opponents had enough to make a comeback, before kicking it into high gear. Zimmy had the champs reeling and the Bumfholes had victory within their grasp a couple of times, only for late kickouts or last ditch saves to preserve the titles for the champs. Sensing that this title defence was going to be harder than they'd claimed, The Awesomeness would resort to Plan B. With the referee tied up with Randy, Jefferson flung one of the tag belts in to Huey. Huey would adeptly catch it and quickly lay out Zimmy, passing the evidence off to Jefferson. Huey then slumped on top for the win, with Randy caught unawares, having not seen the belt shot occur. Jessie eventually tells 'Kristen' that they were trying to get ready for a very important match, so maybe this should wait. Sighing and rolling her eyes, Kristen agrees, but on the condition that Jessie actually gave her ideas some proper thought this time. Jessie says that she will and Kristen tells her she'll be waiting for her e-mail later, just about remembering to wish 'Tom' good luck on her way out the door. The story of the match was Joe Sexy's reluctance to get in the ring with Jungle Lord, relying on his partner to do most of the work, except when Morgan was in the ring and in a compromised position. Once Jungle Lord got the hot tag, Sexy was well out of sight, happy to watch from a safe distance as Huntingdon was flung around the ring. Sexy would at least break up a pin on his partner, then tag in once he saw Huntingdon jab Jungle Lord in the eyes. Jungle Lord would escape the One Night Stand though and run through Sexy, dropping him with a big press slam and calling for the finish. Before that could happen though, The Platinum Blondes would hit the ring and attack from behind for the DQ. Winners: Joey Morgan and Jungle Lord, by disqualification, in 7:59 (B-)</div> With three on one odds Jungle Lord was quickly overwhelmed and when Morgan came back in to fight them off, Huntingdon would clobber the North American Champ from the back to take him out. When Jerry questioned how he was going to deal with the force of Remo and the skill of Gilmore in the same match, Rogue pointed out that tonight there'd be no disqualifications and he was willing to do what it took to win back his title. This certainly wasn't a technical masterclass, but it was physical. The match would eventually find it's way back inside but the intensity didn't let up, with neither competitor able to really gain a prolonged advantage. Krissy would prove to be a non-factor in the match as both men traded big moves towards the end, including a big superplex from the top which left both seemingly out of it. James would ultimately come out on top though as he would escape a running powerslam attempt and connect with the Big Money Move, making a big statement with a clean victory over the man who bested him back in November. Remo's straight ahead attack meant he often had both challengers hurting. However, the challengers kept themselves in the match, with their skill, in the case of Gilmore and in the case of Rogue, some crafty strategy, knowing when to stay out of the way and when to pick his spots. Rogue's strategy would become more effective as the match wore on, feeding off of his tiring opponents. It also became clear that Rogue didn't care about beating the champion for the belt, preferring instead to try and get Remo in a compromised position outside of the ring and focus his attentions on Gilmore as well. Remo could only be kept at bay for so long though and Rogue would end up the target of both men for his sly strategy, leaving things finely poised by the end of the match. Both Gilmore and Rogue would have their chances, but weren't able to claim the win. And with Gilmore taken out by a hard rolling elbow from Rogue, the match would come down to the Brit and the champion, with Rogue giving Remo all he had only to run into a brutal spear. The wind would be knocked out of Rogue's sails, leaving him unable to fend off The Destroyer for the pin and the successful defence for the champion. Winner and still SWF World Heavyweight Champion: Remo, via pinfall, in 17:29 (B)</div></div></blockquote> With the main event up next, Ana Garcia was with Jack Bruce for some last minute comments. Bruce explained that this was the night he'd been waiting five months for, so tonight five months of frustration were going to come flooding out and questioned if The Crippler was ready for that. Bruce admitted that his opponent was a tremendous talent, but said he'd never been in the ring, in the main event spot, live on PPV, with Jack Bruce. He reminded The Crippler that this is what he wanted, he hoped he was up to the task, because lord knows he was. When Ana questioned Jack about the condition of his neck though, Bruce suddenly wasn't quite so talkative, just shooting Ana a look before walking off. Of course the key story of this match was the neck and Bruce's condition was thoroughly tested as The Crippler targetted the injury all match, any chance he could. Bruce would start off hot, but as the match took it's toll and the adrenaline wore away, it was clear The Crippler had Jack in a bad way. The fans tried to rally behind Bruce, with his attempts at a comeback not quite as successful as they usually would be, two promising fightbacks put to sudden stops with a well timed attack on the neck. Emma seemed convinced that Jack was finally done, but Fry knew better than to count Jack out. And sure enough, Bruce would draw on some extra reserves to get back into the match. Try as he might, The Crippler couldn't stop Jack this time, the adrenaline flowing again. That was until Jack set up for the match ending New York Minute, which The Crippler shocking turned into a sitout powerbomb, for a close near fall. The damage was seemingly done to Jack though, once again on the recieving end of punishment from The Crippler with no sign of him fighting back. The Crippler would methodically pound away on Jack's neck, with the referee seemingly on the verge of stopping the match out of concern for Jack's well being. The crowd got on The Crippler's case, as he seemed to take pleasure in dragging the match out, waiting until he was good and ready to go for the tombstone. Jack still had a little fight left in him after all though and he squirmed free of the tombstone, unloading with right hands. The Crippler was reeling now and Jack would go for the New York Minute, but it was avoided. A series of counters followed, neither man able to get that decisive last move. Jack would catch The Crippler with a stun gun and look for a big clothesline off the ropes. The Crippler ducked, looking for a german suplex, not the first of the match. Bruce had it scouted this time though and elbowed his way free. The Crippler would then attempt a clothesline of his own, but Jack ducked as well, before dropping to his back and surprising Crippler by pulling him down into a cradle for the three, much to the delight of the crowd. Winner: Jack Bruce, via pinfall, in 22:07 (B+)</div> Jack had little time to celebrate though, as before he knew it The Crippler would clobber him from the blindside and put the boots to him, to a chorus of boos. The referee is quickly shoved aside as The Crippler plants his boot firmly in the back of the neck of Bruce repeatedly, Bruce spent and powerless to fight back. Hauling Bruce off the mat, The Crippler then sinched in a dragon sleeper, dropping to one knee and wrenching back with Bruce only able to claw futilely at Crippler from across his other knee. More officials were on the way now as Fry condemned The Crippler's actions, Bruce left to slump to the mat once The Crippler finally let him go. The officials are at least enough to get between The Crippler and Bruce and ensure he could do no more, but what he did do to Bruce was enough for now, Jack certainly not looking like the winner as The Crippler exited up the aisle being heckled by the crowd. That show should have put us back on the right track, particularly after such a great main event. Here's your report from the show. <ul><li>Incidents of note </li></ul> Wrestler's Court: Remo was up before the show for making a mess in the locker room which prevented a few of the guys from changing where they wanted to. So, the drinks are on him tonight, as per Enforcer Roberts's ruling. Champ or not, the Enforcer is fair and just. Remo to his credit doesn't seem to have a problem picking up the tab. <ul><li>The Positives </li></ul> Eric did a masterful job on the mic before his match, both in running down the crowd and getting the open challenge deal over. He knows how to rub people up the wrong way. We could be onto a winner with Valiant and James, because they worked great together. The Brandon/Krissy pairing is looking pretty good as well, which is obviously a bonus. A big part of James's success was being paired up with Emma and while it'll be tough to recapture that magic, there's something there to work with. <ul><li>The Negatives </li></ul> The one problem with the James and Valiant match, as well as it went, was the story. For a main event match, their psychology isn't quite there. And it's fair to say selling isn't either guy's greatest attribute. The end result was fun, but it did devolve into two guys hitting big moves. Nothing wrong with that if you ask me, but I'm not sure if they're ready to take it to that next level just yet without someone else guiding things along. Eric performance wasn't on the mic wasn't exactly matched in the ring, because he really had an off night. Joe Sexy looked off as well in the tag match. I wouldn't worry too much about Eric, but Sexy is getting on in years and this might become a trend. Squeeky and Machine's match was solid, but probably needed to be placed somewhere else on the show. People responded surprisingly well to the tag match and putting a match on directly after to lift the crowd for the closing stretch turned out not to be necessary. <ul><li>Gimmick Changes </li></ul> Two on this show. Parker's new white meat nice-guy babyface role seems like an above average role for him to play, certainly better than what he was doing. Also we started Kristen's new Schemer gimmick on this show with her formal introduction and it'll probably be just fine for her. We could still do with a change for Zimmy, FYI. <ul><li>Post Show Speech </li></ul> James and Valiant both seemed pleased to have been given encouraging words after their match, as did Jack with being told how awesome he was. I think after all this time, he's probably aware of how awesome he was, but having been out of the ring for so long I'm sure he appreciated the reminder. <ul><li>Talent Concerns </li></ul> "Marshall Dillon is turning into a good worker, the kid is worth getting behind" - Joey Morgan (NOTE: This may have been a duplicate, I'll try and make sure the suggestion box is emptied more thoroughly in the future) We got word again that Emmy and Spencer Spade want to move up from Rhode Island, but bear in mind again that he's still the champion down there.</div></blockquote> ---

Spencer Spade would finally regain his championship from Ekuma at last month's Battle Royale event, but the Hawaiian wasted no time in exercising his right to a return match and Spade/Ekuma IV was on. Spade seemed confident in speaking with "Bad Bad" Lenny Brown earlier in the night that he would ensure his title reign continued on into 2016. With the two having traded the championship back and forth before the result was very much in doubt, Ekuma a clear favourite in terms of size and strength, but Spade notoriously resourceful, not to mention so often aided by his manager Emmy. The power of Ekuma would ensure Spencer's grip on the title looked precarious at best in this contest. However, Spencer possesses natural talent like perhaps no other in Rhode Island Pro Wrestling and he would shock everyone by not resorting to cheap tactics or managerial interference, bending the rules on occasion without outright breaking them and finding a way to knock back the challenge of the former champion fairly and squarely courtesy of the Supreme Stunner. Also on the show, USA Champion Robbie Wright would retain against Deever Arnold thanks to a controversial disqualification call on what many fans felt was an unintentional low blow; Primus Allen squared off with Matty Faith, the former college football defensive nose tackle coming away with the victory; and in the opening contest of the evening, "No Nonsense" Nick Booth overcame the power of "The Specimin" Forrest Ratzloff to pick up a win. As has become tradition representatives from the major promotions were allowed to work the show which serves as an annual tribute to the great Master Kitozon who was instrumental in the early success of Japanese wrestling. The main event of the show saw Elemental III team up with SWF star Angry Gilmore, who was a brief rival of his mentor Elemental II in BHOTWG in the late 90s, to defeat fellow BHOTWG competitor Masaaki Okazaki and WLW's own tribute to the Elemental lineage American Elemental. Perhaps the most interesting story to come from the show from a US point of view was the opening match of the card which pitted USPW star Enygma against RIPW's Lassana Makutsi, with Enygma coming out on top. Whilst the show will typically feature competitors from rival companies competing with each other and is generally accepted in Japan due to the importance of the show the politics behind this match are particularly interesting. Enygma competed in the SWF for six years, winning the World Championship in 2004 and his move to USPW is seen as the precursor for the current situation where USPW has in many people's opinion moved neck and neck with the SWF in terms of prestige and has poached numerous talents in recent years. For an SWF contracted performer, albeit a developmental prospect in Makutsi who is seen as a promising talent, to lose to a USPW competitor may well have wrangled with the SWF side regardless of the fact the show and the result won't get much play in the US. The fact that it was Enygma will surely have made any potential annoyance over the result even greater. Realistically the result won't matter as the show is very much a one-off for the Japanese audience, SWF allowed Chris Morissette to work the show under his Lobster Warrior gimmick despite the current storyline where he's denounced the gimmick and is working as a heel. At the SWF's next PPV offering, Nothing To Lose, there would be a battle royal, open to any past holders of the North American Championship, with a few notable exceptions, as would be explained soon. Whoever wins the battle royal would face Joey Morgan for the title immediately following. The 'notable exceptions' would then be covered. Per SWF management and as a result of their individual victories at When Hell Freezes Over, Jack Bruce and Brandon James would go one on one to determine the number one contender for Remo at Nothing To Lose. However, due to what happened at the end of the show, Jack would be given an extra week to rest up, so that match would take place next week. Meanwhile, the two men who recieved their shot at When Hell Freezes Over, Rogue and Angry Gilmore, would be given one more chance to get into title contention, as they would face off in their own number one contender's match at the PPV. The winner of that would then face the World Champion, whomever that may be, at Awesome Impact in March. (B) That explanation took a little while, but it did give Rogue time to make his way to the ring whilst his particular match was being covered. Rogue would discuss what happened at When Hell Freezes Over, where Remo pinned him to win the triple threat match, claiming that Remo got lucky. A triple threat match is chaotic, every man for himself, things happen. Rogue congratulated Remo on his win anyway, not entirely convincingly, but warned Remo that he wasn't done with the World Title yet. Angry Gilmore would interrupt at this point, to the crowd's relief, asking Rogue if he was forgetting someone. Rogue played dumb, "nobody important I'm sure", so Gilmore spelled it out for the crowd - if Rogue wanted the World Title, he'd have to go through him first. The two would argue back and forth some more, before Gilmore made it clear that he was far from done with the title either and also made sure to point out that Rogue hadn't beaten him one on one before, claiming that wouldn't change at Nothing To Lose. (B-) Backstage, Jerry Eisen caught up with The Crippler, who was stood in a hallway with his face obscured by a black hoodie, arms folded. Jerry pointed out that Crippler's attack on Bruce at the end of When Hell Freezes Over had robbed them of a main event tonight and told Crippler he was lucky he wasn't fined or suspended. Jerry then turned concerned, asking "Chris" if this was really the way he wanted his career to go. The Crippler didn't bother to remove his hood when he responded, claiming that he had Bruce beat at When Hell Freezes Over, he knew it, Jerry knew it, Jack knew it, everybody knew it. He also knew that this story about Jack being given a week to "rest up" was a sham, if Jack could be there tonight and compete, he would. The Crippler warned Jerry that next time he got his hands on Jack, he'd need a lot more than a week to "rest up" and wherever Jack showed up, he wouldn't be far behind. The Crippler then walked off leaving Jerry to shake his head with disappointment. (B-) As usual, Eric Eisen was in the ring to talk a little about his Open Invitational before the action would get underway. Bragging about his victory at the PPV, Eisen announced another edition in the open challenge would take place tonight and he had it on good authority that his opponent tonight would be facing the toughest test of his career. Eric urged his opponent to relax, take it all in and enjoy stepping in the ring tonight. After all, how often do you get to step into the ring on national TV, in front of 13,000 plus against a former World Champion and, most of all, an Eisen? And it was all thanks to his generousity. Winner: Eric Eisen, via pinfall, in 5:25 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> In the backstage area, we find the newly formed alliance of recent weeks, with Joe Sexy talking with The Platinum Blondes. The trio make no secret of the fact they're scheming together, as Sexy goes over their gameplan tonight. Referencing tonight's tag team main event, Sexy said that this was his chance to get one over on Joey Morgan before the North American #1 Contender's Battle Royal at Nothing To Lose, which he and Frederique would both be in. Sexy made it clear that he'd deal with Morgan, no sweat - but he needed The Platinum Blondes to make sure that they dealt with that "nut", Jungle Lord. Frederique told Sexy to relax and focus on his match, they had it covered. (B-) The show pauses for commercials, but strangely, returns with one as well. I mean, look at him... why would you want to look like anyone else? Without having to deal with four other competitors, it would prove to be a different test, but not a different outcome. Greed's small experience edge seemed to be more useful in a singles environment, as he wore Lau down and kept him in as position where he couldn't use his signature strikes, at least for some of the match. He couldn't contain Lau for long enough though and Lau would prove that last Thursday wasn't a fluke, as he pinned Greed after the Scything Side Kick once again. Winner: Mikey Lau, via pinfall, in 8:04 (B-)</div> Lau celebrates yet another key victory, with Duane claiming that with less than a year in the company under his black belt, Lau was truly becoming one to watch in the SWF. ©</div></blockquote> Ana Garcia would interview Hollywood Bret Starr immediately after the match at the interview position. Starr was quick to bemoan the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal since it favoured the old guard of the SWF and kept up and coming talents like himself on the outside looking in. Ana then questioned Starr about the match we just saw and it was clear Starr had been watching closely. Starr referred to his elimination in the Supreme Sixway as a fluke rollup and pointed out that while Lau won that match, he got the pin in the six man tag last week, so technically they were even. Ana didn't seem convinced by that assessment, but Starr pressed on and said that he'd prove he was clearly the hottest prospect in the company. © <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Valiant w/Hannah vs. Bear Bekowski Coming off the back of a defeat to Brandon James at When Hell Freezes Over, Valiant needed a rebound win here. Big Bear Bekowski made for a fine test and these two almost matched the efforts of James and Valiant in a highly spirited brawl. Bekowski would give Valiant as good as he got, but the Bear isn't quite on the level of Brandon James yet. Valiant would get back to winning ways, catching Bekowski with the Patriot Missile to get the three count. Winner: Valiant, via pinfall, in 6:55 (B-)</div> Duane complimented Valiant's resolve as he celebrated the victory, but Emma seemed distinctly unimpressed, or at least pretended that she wasn't for effect. (B)</div></blockquote> The World Tag Team Champions The Awesomeness would head to the ring, with Duane and Emma having very different takes on how they retained those titles at the PPV. Fry of course pointed out that they had to cheat to win, while Emma blew it off as being resourceful and said that maybe if the Bumfholes were good enough to have title belts they could have used them instead. The Awesomeness of course made no reference to their cheap win and instead lauded their achievement. Huey would announce that they were bored of facing inferior competition and since they'd proven that the Bumfholes were beneath them, they wanted someone who could truly challenge them. Their confidence would get them in trouble though, as while Jefferson began to ramble about the "aura of awesomeness centering their chi", The Pain Alliance would make their way to the ring and leave the champions looking rather nervous. Scott and Laramee yelled at the two, calling them "pretty boys" and "punks" and telling them that if they wanted competition, they were looking at it. The Awesomeness didnt dare answer back and let The Pain Alliance run them down verbally, before sheepishly leaving the ring rather than risk being run down physically. (C+) A hype video plays focusing on the SWF World Champion, Remo. And Machine would give Squeeky a stiffer test than he got last time out. Squeeky's experience edge would still show, as he managed to manoeuvre Machine into a position to send him into the steps and gain the upper hand in the match. Machine found himself worn down for the majority, but mounted a comeback and got a couple of close near falls on McClean. It wasn't to be his night though and a missed charge in the corner meant Squeeky was able to make it two for two with the Stain Removal and the pin. Winner: Squeeky McClean, via pinfall, in 12:12 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> In the backstage area we find Jessie and Kristen Pearce, Kristen deep in conversation, or rather deep in explanation, while Jessie A- tries to keep up and B- tries to juggle the pile of papers that Kristen is handing her. When Kristen stops to ask Jessie if she's got all of that, Jessie ignores the question, preferring to ask one of her own- how did Kristen get her contract exactly and why did nobody talk to her about it. Picking one of the papers out of the pile, Kristen shows it to Jessie, who protests that she didn't sign that and she certainly did say that Kristen was "an inspiration to her". Looking to brush over that, Kristen said it was fine, if anyone asked then Jessie would surely put in a good word for her and besides, the contract was signed now, which meant she could help out, starting tonight. Jessie, trying to reason with her sister, told Kristen that they could figure that out later, but first she wanted to know why she'd quit her accountancy job, as she thought that was going well. Kristen clarified that it was an internship, it wasn't going well since nobody was take her business ideas seriously and all she was really doing was earning a bit of money. No, she had bigger plans. Kristen reminded her sister that she had a degree in finance, she knew what she was talking about. Working in an office filing papers was a waste of her potential, she could be making big money and if anyone was going to carry the Pearce name to greatness, then she guessed it had to be her. Jessie suddenly gets defensive and asks what that was supposed to mean, but Kristen again brushed over the comment and suggested Jessie look things over again and call her if she needed anything explaining again. Once Kristen had left, Jessie pulled out the piece of paper from earlier again, apparently wanting to know what 'she' was supposed to have said about Kristen's job credentials. Momentum which Huntingdon really needed. Already looking annoyed coming into the match, Huntingdon would spend the entirety of the contest getting more and more flustered, as he struggled to deal with the wild Jungle Lord and kept being sent to the floor to stew. The fans seemed to take great amusement in Huntingdon's woes and Huntingdon spent too much time sniping back at them any time he got a rare advantage in the contest. The key moment in the match saw Huntingdon resort to trying to take a cheap way out, pinning Jungle Lord with his feet blatantly on the ropes. So blatantly that the referee couldn't miss it, leading an arguement between the Blue Blood and the official. That gave Jungle Lord the time to fire himself up, unleashing a big flurry of high impact blows to Huntingdon and finishing him off with the Jungle Jack-Hammer. Winner: Jungle Lord, via pinfall, in 8:24 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> After the match, The Platinum Blondes would decide this was their time to strike, hitting the ring and attacking Jungle Lord from behind. Unlike their last two attempts though, this attack wouldn't put Jungle Lord down, the already fired up wildman firing right back and surprising both Blondes. Frederique is clotheslined over the top to the floor and Prudence follows him out of the ring, hard, via a press slam onto his tag team partner, leaving the Blondes to retreat and Jungle Lord to beat his chest triumphantly in the ring. (C+) Highlights air of Jack Bruce's match with The Crippler at When Hell Freezes Over and the post match attack by The Crippler. (B-) Ana Garcia then interviews Krissy Angelle, with Brandon James stood beside her smirking at the footage that's just played. Krissy says it's too bad Jack wasn't fit enough to compete tonight and said she hoped Jack's "little boo-boo" got better soon. Krissy claimed it didn't matter if it was this week, next week or the week after though, when Jack did finally step into the ring with her man that neck was going to get an awful lot worse. And whether Jack was 100% or not, we were looking at the new number one contender, the Big Money player and the next SWF World Heavyweight Champion, Brandon James. Gilmore and Rogue wouldn't be in the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal due to their World Title number one contender's match, but Joe Sexy would be. There was also the small matter of Sexy and Gilmore being former partners, with Gilmore not minding too much when Rogue avoided a tag since it gave him a chance to go after his old buddy instead. Gilmore and Morgan are known as two of the best technical wrestlers in the company and their strategy was clear, wrestling rings around both Sexy and Rogue. The two seemed very individually minded about how they went about that, but either way, Sexy and Rogue would struggle no matter which opponent was in the ring with them. Rogue would be instrumental in getting his team back into the match and it'd be Gilmore who took the brunt of the offence from his current rival and his former teammate. Gilmore would eventually get the tag off to the North American Champion and Morgan would step up the pace a little from the earlier technical exchanges. Sexy didn't fare so well, but Rogue was able to put a stop to Morgan's fightback and lay him out with a stun gun. Rogue would miss the blind tag though and also miss Gilmore pulling down the rope after Morgan avoided his charge, with Rogue crashing to the floor. Still the legal man, Sexy would go for the One Night Stand to Morgan, but the North American Champion would push him off. And Gilmore would be waiting, dumping Sexy with a german suplex, then hitting Anger Management to pick up the three for his team. Winners: Angry Gilmore and Joey Morgan, via pinfall, in 18:17 (B-)</div> Rogue had seemingly given up on the match before it had ended though, as he could be seen sneaking around ringside with a chair while Morgan and Gilmore shook hands on their victory. And once he was sure their backs were both turned, Rogue would pounce, with a chairshot to the back of Joey Morgan. Gilmore spotted Rogue too late and ran into a hard swing to the gut, doubling him over for one across the back. Morgan then took another rough shot to the back to keep him down, Jessie looking on with concern as Rogue stood over both men with steel chair in hand and a dastardly sneer on his face. That was a bit of a poor follow-up to the PPV. Not your fault though. <ul><li>Incidents of note </li></ul> Wrestler's Court: Seems like Squeeky was either wishing the drinks were still on Remo or living the gimmick, because word got back to the Enforcer that he skipped out on paying his share of the bar bill after a show recently. The Enforcer decided Squeeky would make up for it by buying drinks for everyone tonight and he was okay with that. <ul><li>The Positives </li></ul> I think we've found Valiant's wheel-house. He and Bekowski were great together in their little brawl. Seems like pairing him up with big guys might be the way to go. The Awesomeness and Laramee all came off well in their segment on the show, Huey in particular. Maybe Sexy's onto something with him deserving more mic time. <ul><li>The Negatives </li></ul> So, this is what really hurt the show. The main event looked good on paper so I can't fault you for that. You know how the saying goes "opposites attract" though? Well let's just say Morgan and Gilmore aren't so much chalk and cheese as chalk and chalk and they were awful as a team, which hurt the main event and hurt the momentum the Gilmore/Rogue/Remo storyline had going for it, which is one too many storylines that failed to deliver this week. And to top things off, although Rogue deserves some credit for really carrying that main event, he wasn't so hot on that opening promo. <ul><li>Gimmick Changes </li></ul> Justin Sensitive's new Skin Care Obsessive deal seemed to get a pretty decent response. It's certainly different. <ul><li>Talent Concerns </li></ul> In addition to Spade and Emmy requesting call-ups again, Ekuma has made it clear he wants to be on the main roster as well. The last Rhode Island show was without colour commentary, as Smooth C no showed. He's not under contract to us so nothing we can really do except let Cattley and Carlisle deal with him.</div></blockquote> ------ So, getting the storyline penalty twice in the first month isn't ideal. Hopefully that doesn't put me too close to annoying the TV network.

Apparently one of Jerry or Eric got wind of the fact Joe's doing colour for the six man tag tonight and thought it'd be funny to make Joe think they were putting him on the booth full time. One of the boys apparently overheard Jerry asking Joe if he was looking forward to, quote, "the next phase of his career" earlier today and Joe was told by someone on staff that he wouldn't be changing with the boys tonight. Anyway, when they revealed it was a work, needless to say Joe didn't take it too well, I guess he didn't appreciate the subtext that he's on his last run. He got hot and a couple of the guys apparently had to talk him out of going for Eric. I'm happy to handle this for you, I just need to know what tact you want to take. My suggestion would be to give them a slap on the wrist. I'm sure they thought it was funny, certainly funnier than Joe did. Probably best to tread lightly being the new guy on staff. Ordinarily I'd say it was something of nothing, the only worry I'd have is that it's the second time in a month Joe and Eric have clashed so I wouldn't be surprised if Eric came up with this. (B-) And just to prove he was back this week, Jack Bruce would immediately make his way out to the ring after the package had ended. Not showing too much in the way of the effects of When Hell Freezes Over and the attack by The Crippler, Bruce got the crowd amped up from the get-go. He claimed that the Jack Is Back Tour got off to a great start a couple of weeks ago when he rocked the house and kicked The Crippler's butt, but there was a slight snag when The Crippler beat him down after the match. Bruce said he appreciated SWF management giving him another week to get ready for tonight's main event with Brandon James, but he didn't need it and he was raring to go. Jack took some time to address Brandon's change in management, saying that he didn't have a lot of time for Emma Chase, but he'd also dealt with more than enough "go-go dancers" in his time to know that they were trouble. Bruce then moved on to The Crippler and made light of what happened at When Hell Freezes Over by saying he understood why Crippler was feeling a little "crabby" after their match. Emma bitterly pointed out that there's a difference between a lobster and a crab, but judging by the crowds chants of "crabby", they weren't interested. Bruce then said "speaking of crabs, Brandon, don't say I didn't warn you" to get another pop (and another disapproving reaction from Emma), before ending by telling The Crippler that he wasn't hard to find, but he was hard to beat and that the Jack Is Back Tour would be rolling on in Maryland tonight. (B) Like last week, another advert for "Sensitivity" aired, this time with Justin Sensitive in a laboratory, which at least made the lab coat a little more practical but still did nothing to explain the sunglasses. Sensitive explained that the people behind him were the finest skin experts known to man and they were hard at work perfecting the formula to true Sensitive skin. All of them were suspiciously good looking and when one came up to hand Justin a sample, her reading of "take a look at what we've been working on" was particularly wooden and sounded quite rehearsed. Sensitive happily rubbed some of the cream on his face and claimed that he felt softer already before handing it back to the lab worker/actress. He then claimed that with the formula almost complete, Sensitive skin was a closer reality than ever and urged us all to keep watching. The Bumfholes had used their automatic rematch and The Pain Alliance had been told they needed to do something to earn a shot a few weeks ago, so the stakes were particularly high here. The match went about as you'd expect, with The Pain Alliance's power and brute force going up against the Bumfholes's speed and agility. Neither team could get a clear advantage over the other, with Fry calling it a pick 'em. What wasn't expected was the result though. With the match coming down to a close run finish, The Awesomeness would hit the ring with both Big Smack and Zimmy struggling to their feet after a double knockdown. Huey and Jefferson, with tag belts in hand, would count each other down from three, before connecting with belt shots to both men at the same time. Starr wrestled like a man with a point to prove and although Biggins put up a fight near the end, a knee to the midsection cut him off and the Hollywood Hammer earned Starr a fairly comprehensive victory. Winner: Hollywood Bret Starr, via pinfall, in 6:31 (C+)</div> Starr celebrated afterwards to disapproving boos from the crowd, who are chastised by Emma for failing to show the proper respect for such a great performance. (C-)</div></blockquote> Rogue ventured to the ring after commercial, holding in his hand a noticably bent steel chair. Rogue introduced footage of last week when he laid out both Joey Morgan and Angry Gilmore with the very same chair, clearly pleased with his work. Encouraging the crowd to give a hand to the chair, which they resoundingly didn't, Rogue examined the chair carefully and estimated that it probably had a good five or six more swings in it left so he'd be keeping hold of it for a while. As Rogue continued on describing what happened last week, Angry Gilmore would interrupt. Gilmore filled in the blanks of what Rogue's footage didn't show- him picking up another win over Joe Sexy and Rogue taking another loss. Gilmore said the chair wouldn't help Rogue at Nothing To Lose, which Rogue said we'd see about, with Gilmore approaching the ring the whole time. Reaching the bottom of the ramp, he then told Rogue they didn't have to wait until then and Rogue responded that if Gilmore wanted to use up another couple of chairshots then to go right ahead. Gilmore took up the offer and slid into the ring, but ducked Rogue's wild swing and unloaded with right hands. Rogue was forced to drop the chair, with Gilmore picking it up and taking a wild swing of his own. Rogue managed to duck too though and quickly scurried out of the ring, clearly relieved, as Gilmore stood mid ring with the chair and dared him to come back and fight. Machine was clearly bouyed by those recent performances against top level competition though and powered back into the match. Once Machine got going Greed couldn't seem to stop him and Fry claimed that he was looking maybe better than ever. Greed was eventually hit with the Old Glory and American Machine was back to winning ways, much to BJ O'Neill's delight. Sighing, Jessie would set down the drinks to hear Kristen out, with Kristen asking if she'd thought any more about her co-managers proposal. Jessie's attempts to dodge the issue by explaining how she needed to learn what to do first didn't really work, with Kristen asking how hard it could be ("smile and clap occasionally, I think I can manage that"), so Jessie said she'd think about it, if only to get her coffees and leave before they got cold. Kristen seemed content though and practised cheering for 'Tom' as if to prove her point. (D+) Joe Sexy would head to the ring before the next match-up to join the commentary team. That was the main topic of conversation on commentary, behind Sexy questioning Jungle Lord's intelligence any time he was in the ring. The match itself saw the heel team isolate Robbie Retro, not enjoying their early confrontations with Jungle Lord and not wanting any of Valiant. Retro might have been singled out as the weak link, but he wasn't going down easy and after capitalising on Huntingdon running into Squeeky on the apron, the tag was made to Valiant. From there the momentum swung the faces way and it was up to Squeeky, Garcia and Huntingdon to keep up. While Jungle Lord took care of Squeeky and Garcia on the floor, Huntingdon seemingly stalled Valiant in the ring and called for High Society. When he went to hit it though, Valiant had the counter, before instead hitting Huntingdon with the V-Split to pick up the win for his team. Winners: Valiant, Jungle Lord and Retro, via pinfall, in 11:21 (B-)</div> As Valiant, Jungle Lord and Retro celebrate, Sexy has already ditched commentary, clearly annoyed at the outcome. The three good guys all seem happy for each other for the time being, but as is pointed out on commentary, at Nothing To Lose it'll be every man for himself for a shot at the North American Championship. (C+)</div></blockquote> An informal Eisen meeting was captured taking place backstage, as Jerry spoke with Eric. Pointing out that Eric was voluntarily choosing not to be in the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal, he wanted to know what Eric's deal was. Issuing an open challenge was one thing, but passing up a chance to win championship gold, that wasn't like Eric at all. Eric scoffed at Jerry, reminding him that he'd been there and done that. And besides, it wasn't really a shot at a title, it was a chance to get a shot, he was above that. Jerry took that to mean Eric didn't want to be in a battle royal fighting nine other people, but Eric just ignored him and wanted to talk about something more important, The Eric Eisen Open Invitational. Instead of scrapping around with "the rest of the talent" just for an opportunity, he was making opportunities. And next week he was going to offer another opportunity to one lucky person. Jerry still seemed dubious, but Eric called this big business and left, remarking "can you believe we actually pay you to ask people these kind of questions?" on his way out. (C+) The main event was up next, but first Ana Garcia looked to get Remo's thoughts on who he might be facing at Nothing To Lose. The World Champion didn't even get a chance to answer before Krissy Angelle and Brandon James walked into shot, on their way to the ring. Krissy answered Ana's question for her and said Bruce didn't stand a chance tonight, just like Remo won't stand a chance at Nothing To Lose. James spent the entire time staring directly at Remo, who clearly didn't appreciate being interrupted and stepped past Ana. Momentarily it was a tense situation, as both Remo and James looked ready to fight. Remo glanced at Krissy though and walked off in the other direction, choosing not to attack James. The week off had clearly revitalised Jack as he came out all guns blazing, with the match quickly spilling to the floor and going all around ringside in the early stages. The pace didn't let up for a good six or seven minutes, even when things got back in the ring. Only when James caught Bruce with a big clothesline would things slow down a little. And they'd slow down with James choosing to target the injured neck. Brandon's tactics were a little different from The Crippler's two weeks ago, a lot more clubbing than finesse, but the result was the same, Jack's neck was being tested. Jack would fight out of a painful looking chinlock and eventually mount a comeback, proving that the neck wasn't quite stopping him yet. And once it was clear Jack wouldn't be kept down by his injury, the match became about who could deliver the final big blow to put the other down. James's high impact power moves weren't quite enough, but Jack wasn't able to put Big Money away either. The Big Money Move was avoided twice, but Jack barely had a chance to even attempt the New York Minute. The closest Jack would come to victory would be a rare move off the top, as he blocked a superplex and knocked Brandon to the mat for a flying elbow and a near fall. Unfortunately, it looked as though the match would be decided by outside means, as after a collision of heads in the corner, The Crippler would make his way down towards the ring. Brandon would be up first though and while he might not have needed Crippler's help, he certainly wasn't helped when Valiant would run out and grab The Crippler, spinning him around and unloading with right hands. Valiant and Crippler would brawl towards the back, ensuring neither would be a direct factor. But Brandon James was clearly distracted by this and it allowed Bruce to wriggle free from James's shoulders, ducking a wild clothesline and catching James with the New York Minute to pick up the big win. Winner: Jack Bruce, via pinfall, in 22:13 (B+)</div> Bruce's hand is raised and Fry confirms that it'll be Jack Bruce taking on Remo at Nothing To Lose for the SWF World Title (B), with Jack celebrating his victory to close out the show. I guess I would say that but letting us shoot the breeze on these segments works for me and letting Eric cut loose definitely works well for him. <ul><li>The Negatives </li></ul> I'm just saying, but... Sexy did a pretty meh job on commentary tonight. <ul><li>Gimmick Changes </li></ul> Bekowski was debuting his new Mountain Man character in the dark match and it seemed to go pretty well. The Wrestling Spectator January 2016 - Edition #4 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">USPW MAKE MORE MOVES, DEBUT NEW TELEVISION SHOW</div> It's been another busy couple of weeks for USPW, as they continue to try and stake their claim as the #1 wrestling company in North America. The week started with yet more talent acquisitions to bolster their roster. Having already signed the former Captain Atomic, as well as Masked Cougar, both Nelson Callum and Roger Cage have officially joined the company. Cage was allowed to finish up his dates for NYCW, dropping the company's Empire Title to Rick Sanders. A second signing from CZCW to go with Masked Cougar is Donnie J, who'll debut on TV soon, possibly this week. And rounding out the hirings is Greg Black, the former Groucho Bling, who had been working for PSW as one half of the Supreme Dream Team with Grandmaster Phunk and is yet another former SWF competitor now signed. The rash of signings may have something to do with the surprise reveal of new programming that was made last week. On Friday, Reverie and USPW put out press releases announcing a new show, named "USPW RUMBLE", which will be airing every week on Saturday evenings. The show was marketed as "added content" and will be used primarily to give more exposure to the non-main event talent on the roster. The show premiered the following night, which could be seen as a risky move, but seemingly generated some excitement due to the quick turnaround from reveal to airing. The opening show did a 0.93 rating with 702,240 viewers, with Danny Rushmore defeating T-Rex in the main event. Running a show on the weekend, featuring primarily undercard talent, would be a tough sell for most companies. But wrestling fans in Canada are about to see a lot more of her. Tyler will be featuring in the latest edition of Canadian sports and fitness magazine "Powerplay", with a feature on her career as a pro wrestler. It's the photoshoot that will get people's attention however, as Tyler is taking the bold step of posing naked for it. The 22 year old daughter of former DAVE star Eric Tyler has earned rave reviews for her work in the Canadian promotion in the ring. She's not just another wannabe model; she can kick ass as well. The feature could prove to be a huge image boost for the company and for Tyler itself, with the magazine being a pretty big deal in Canada. It should certainly get people talking and ensure Tyler's stock in the Canadian promotion only continues to rise.

This match was apparently more his speed and he stuck around for the duration. Biggins gave him some problems in his own right, but Monty showed a few more of his admirable qualities as he took what the former tag champion had to offer and still came out on top with the Cash Bonus. Winner: Monty Trescarde, via pinfall, in 6:02 (C-)</div></div></blockquote> Backstage Ana Garcia was with Angry Gilmore. Ana brought up what happened last week, with Gilmore saying he didn't need chairs to deal with anyone but he was sure connecting with Rogue would have felt quite good anyway. When asked if he was concerned about being on the recieving end at Nothing To Lose Gilmore pointed out that Rogue would have to beat him in the ring man to man and that was something he'd yet to manage. Gilmore added that he knew Rogue had an important match tonight and suggested he'd be watching closely. (C+) It was Open Invitational time again, as Eric Eisen came out to regale the crowd about how successful his open challenge had been, not least of all for him. In fact, it couldn't be going more perfectly. Eric said that shouldn't put off whoever was behind the curtain waiting to come out because everybody gets lucky some day and maybe tonight is their lucky night. Being an Eisen, he didn't need luck, but his opponent almost certainly would, so he wished him the best of it. (B) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Eric Eisen Open Invitational Match Eric Eisen vs. Jason O'Conner Eric's opponent for the night didn't appear too nervous, but nor did he ever really appear like he'd get the win. He would give Eric a couple of tricky moments, including a near fall off a northern lights suplex, but for the most-part this was a showcase for Eisen and he secured another open invitational victory with The Supremacy. Winner: Eric Eisen, via pinfall, in 4:58 (C+)</div> Routine as the victory might have been, Eric was going to celebrate it all the same, enthusiastically complimented all the while by Emma all the while. (C+)</div></blockquote> The Tag Team Champions were backstage taking part in a photo shoot with their title belts. And a wind machine. Of course. A few more shots were taken before Jerry Eisen walked into their picture, which they didn't appreciate, literally trying to shoo him away. Undettered by their shooing, Jerry told them he hoped they were having a good time and congratulated them on their clever little stunt last week. The Awesomeness both seem pleased about it as well, until Jerry told them that since neither The Amazing Bumfholes nor The Pain Alliance got a chance to win the number one contenders match, rather than them both missing out, they'd both be getting another shot, in a triple threat match at Nothing To Lose. Huey and Jefferson were predictably outraged, as Jerry suggested they make sure the camera gets their good side on the next few pictures, because they might not be doing many more photo shoots as champions after the PPV. (C-) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Mikey Lau and Jimmy Hernandez vs. Hollywood Bret Starr and John Greed These four were all out to impress in this one, a frenetic fast paced tag team match. All four men involved wanted their time to shine and as a result, the idea of teaming together kind of went out the window. Instead, the strategy was simply to take it right to whoever else happened to be in the ring at that particular time. Individually, all four had their moments and the match could really have gone either way. It'd be a lack of teamwork which proved the key though, as Starr would ultimately decide he'd had enough of the match after being on the recieving end of one too many big moves, walking out and leaving his partner high and dry. That allowed Lau and Hernandez to pick Greed off and Lau to get the pin with the Dragon Whip. Winners: Lau and Hernandez, via pinfall, in 5:58 ©</div></div></blockquote> As Supreme TV went to commercials, the first one we saw was with a familiar face, with Justin Sensitive this time at a gym. Unlike the people working out behind him, Sensitive was in his lab coat and sunglasses, which certainly made him stand out. Sensitive explained that a gymnasium is a place that people go to get stronger and more healthy. But looking around the gym, what he saw didn't look too healthy to him. Bleamishes. Blotches. Sweat drenched skin. What's the point in working out and strengthening your muscles if the skin wrapped around them was disgusting to look at? That's why Sensitive claimed he was here to help. Instead of being concerned with muscularity, people should be focusing on their Sensitivity. And soon, he would be coming to the SWF to spread Sensitivity to the world. Soon, he claimed, Supreme TV would become Sensitive TV and encouraged everyone to keep watching. (D+) Back in the arena, Ana Morgan was standing by at the interview position with Paul Huntingdon. Huntingdon bitterly admitted that he'd been having some poor luck lately in regards to recapturing his North American Championship, but he had an opportunity to change that at Nothing To Lose. Huntingdon claimed that nobody in the battle royal was more determined than he was and that determination would bring the gold back to his rightful possession and away from the undeserving champion it currently resided with. While neither would be considered among the favourites to win at Nothing To Lose, Squeeky had been racking up some wins in singles competition in recent weeks and Retro was on the winning side of the six man tag last week. Retro had also been the man to defeat Squeeky for the title back in 2014 and he gave McClean his fair share of problems again here. Squeeky is one of the most crafty competitors on the roster though and a timely dodge saw the disco dancer crash land into the ring ropes, with Squeeky quickly capitalising with the Stain Removal for the win. Winner: Squeeky McClean, via pinfall, in 8:29 (C+)</div></div></blockquote> A video aired hyping the SWF World Champion, Remo (B-), before we cut backstage to see the number one contender Jack Bruce heading to the ring. (B) To a rousing reception, Jack made his way out for a promo. He was willing to admit he was a little sore after last week, but it still felt good to be standing in front of everyone as the number one contender one more time. Jack recounted the number one contender's match briefly but seemed more focused on what was coming up. At Nothing To Lose he had a chance to make history again and it just so happened that seven was his lucky number. Jack put Remo over as one of the toughest people he'd ever been in the ring with, but reminded Remo that he'd beaten him for the World Title once before and he could do it again. This ultimately brought Remo out to the ring and Emma wondered if Jack would be talking so boldly if it was to Remo's face. The answer turned out to be yes, Bruce not intimidated by Remo and saying if it was a fight Remo was after, he wasn't too sore to kick his ass right now. Remo said he wasn't there for a fight, he'd wait until Nothing To Lose to take care of Bruce and advised Bruce to concentrate on taking care of himself and his neck until then. Remo warned Bruce to forget about his other problems, worry about Remo and Jack assured him he was focused on one thing and one thing only, the belt Remo was holding. The two would end up squaring up to each other, Remo holding the belt in Bruce's face and both exhanging words off microphone, as Fry hyped that the match between these two would be something special. (B+) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Rogue vs. Joey Morgan The North American Title took a backseat here to what went down two weeks ago, with Morgan looking for revenge after taking a couple of chair shots from Rogue after their tag team match was over. And Morgan showed a little more of an edge as a result, forgoing his usual technical prowess to brawl with Rogue at the start. Rogue might have been caught off guard by this, but as Emma explained, a brawl suited him more and sure enough Rogue was able to gain the upper hand when things spilt outside thanks to the announce table and the barricade. Morgan had clearly learnt his lesson, switching to wrestling when things got back inside, keeping the match pretty even as his spells of stretching Rogue out alternated with Rogue regaining the advantage and pummeling the North American Champion. Morgan would eventually try to fight fire with fire again late on in the match and seemed to have Rogue on the ropes, earning a couple of near falls on the crafty Brit before Rogue decided he'd had enough. Sneaking outside, Rogue would grab a chair and hit Morgan full swing as he tried to exit the ring, causing the blatant disqualification. Winner: Joey Morgan, via disqualification, in 13:58 (B)</div> As Morgan fell back into the ring, a big smile broke out on Rogue's face, clearly not concerned about the result at all. Rogue slid back in and scared off the referee, leaving him free to measure Morgan and deliver another hard shot with the chair across the back. Before Rogue could deliver a third though, Angry Gilmore hit the ring causing Rogue to bail, with the chair still in hand, just incase. Gilmore stayed in the ring to check on Morgan though, settling for glaring at the smirking Rogue as he made sure the North American Champion was okay. Things wouldn't be quite so easy for the man from the jungles though with Frederique hanging around on the outside and after early dominance from Jungle Lord, Frederique's interference would swing the match in Prudence's favour for a while. Prudence was able to keep Jungle Lord subdued, but wasn't able to keep him down for long, Jungle Lord just too powerful for the Platinum Blonde. And Frederique could only look on in dismay from ringside as Jungle Lord put his partner away, picking up the victory with the Jungle Jack-Hammer. Winner: Jungle Lord, via pinfall, in 7:21 (B-)</div> After the match was a different story, as Frederique jumped Jungle Lord from behind, free to get involved as he pleased now the bout was over. Freddy stirred Prudence back to his feet so the two of them could double team Jungle Lord, but when they whipped him to the ropes, Jungle Lord felled them both with a diving double clothesline. After bonking their heads together, Jungle Lord then clotheslined both out of the ring, leaving the Blondes to retreat to the back with their tails between their legs. ©</div></blockquote> Back from commercial, Joe Sexy was in the trainer's room, a mixture of concern but also frustration on his face as he watched both of The Platinum Blondes being checked out. Sexy didn't show his buddies a massive amount of sympathy, instead asking them what happened out there. Frederique came up with some excuses, but Sexy wasn't actually interested in an answer, telling them they all needed to get their act together because he was sick of dealing with that lunatic Jungle Lord. Prudence just looked at him unsympathetically, with an ice pack against his temple and Sexy relented a little, as he told them both to relax and that they'd figure this out next week. Valiant had thwarted The Crippler's attempts to interfere in Jack Bruce's match with Brandon James and now they had a score to settle with each other as well their respective rivals in that bout. The Crippler certainly seemed surly about the whole situation, although surly is also his default state at this point. Crippler didn't let that affect his performance though and the story was simple- Valiant would look to utilise the power game, while Crippler's focus was slowly wearing down his larger opponent, targetting the back. The numerous backbreakers and submission holds took their tole as the match wore on, limiting Valiant when he tried to mount a comeback. Valiant was, well, valiant though, fighting through the pain to surprise Crippler with a press slam at one point and managing to catch Crippler with a regular powerslam at another. It seemed like Valiant might just pull out a hard fought win as he stunned The Crippler with a running high knee and signalled for the V-Split. Someone else would have other ideas though, as Brandon James would slide into the ring and hit Valiant right in the back for the DQ. Winner: Valiant, via disqualification, in 14:59 (B)</div> The fans booed that and booed even more when The Crippler joined in on the attack on Valiant, putting the boots to him in the middle of the ring. The Crippler would end up stopping James and calling for the tombstone, which James was evidently happy to stand back and watch happen. Much to Hannah's relief though, before that could happen Jack Bruce would hit the ring, making the save. Bruce fought off both James and Crippler long enough to lure in James and backdrop him to the outside. Bruce then sidestepped an attack by The Crippler and clotheslined him outside as well, with both James and Crippler deciding to cut their losses and back away, while Jack checked on Valiant as the show went off the air. Just between you and me, I'd kinda have liked to have seen how that fight turned out. Seems like he was offended that it was even an issue and complained about people not being able to take a joke even as he was walking off from the conversation, so I guess he's not so happy. He's a talented kid but we're gonna have to manage his ego, he's a little too in-tune with his gimmick if you get my drift. <ul><li>The Positives </li></ul> Frederique did a good job at ringside during the Jungle Lord/Prudence match. I can see why my Dad likes him, he's very entertaining. Eric came out of tonight looking good, putting him in with a bit more of a veteran in Threepwood worked out well. <ul><li>Talent Concerns </li></ul> Spade, Emmy, Masked Patriot and Primus were inquiring with Cattley about their call-ups again during the week. Two Future SWF Superstars Announced They're Dating...

Rhode Island Pro Wrestling's Emmy and Scythe are among those being tipped for the top in the company's developmental system. And what better way to pass the time in Rhode Island than to find true love?

A picture of the pair together was posted on Emmy's Immedigraph page (with the normally masked superstar's back to the camera), with the caption "Who is this handsome stranger <3 <3" last week and when questioned during an online AMA, Emmy confirmed that she and the man known to RIPW fans as Scythe were dating.

We shouldn't expect to see the rock chick and the angry giant paired together on screen any time soon, as Emmy is currently managing the promotion's champion Spencer Spade while Scythe is very much a loner character.

We may be seeing the pair on SWF television before too long though, even if their romance stays strictly off our screens.

(B) Waiting in the ring, Eric Eisen welcomed us to the show officially and asked what better way to start the show than to give out the opportunity of a lifetime to one lucky competitor? Eric yet again bragged about the success of his Open Invitational, while the crowd tried their best to heckle him down. Eric ignored them though, too caught up in talking up his challenge. When he eventually got around to inviting out his challenger for the night though, Eric's mood would change somewhat, as the bigman Everest made his way out onto the stage. Looking on with some trepidation, Eric watched Everest meander his way down to the ring before stopping the bigman once he entered. Playing forgetful, Eric claimed that he just realised, he made a big oversight. He'd forgotten to mention that the Eric Eisen Open Invitational had a strictly enforced weight limit. Eyeing Everest up, Eric announced that the weight limit was 400 pounds and unfortunately, that meant he couldn't let Everest answer the challenge. The fans quickly realised what was up but Everest seemed to take Eric at his word and continued to hear him out, as Eric told the bigman that he's still all about opportunity, so he had a better idea that he'd like to discuss with him away from prying eyes. Everest, for whatever reason, went along with this and left with Eric to boos from the crowd. Lau was taking this match very seriously and rightly so, as Parker was able to do a good job of keeping up with him throughout the contest. Lau's kicks were his greatest weapon in this and Parker was doing his best to avoid them. That only worked for so long though, with Lau landing some good shots towards the end and finishing Parker off with the Dragon Whip. Winner: Mikey Lau, via pinfall, in 5:40 ©</div></div></blockquote> Post match, Lau would show respect to his opponent with a handshake and Parker accepted. Watching from backstage was Hollywood Bret Starr, ready for an interview with Ana and clearly, he wasn't impressed. Starr said he wasn't interested in Lau's respect, he was interested in SWF management's respect. And the way to get that was by beating Lau on Thursday night and putting him in the dust on his way to championship gold. With no Jungle Lord to contend with, Prudence fared better here than he did last week. Hernandez proved to be no pushover though and the result was an entertaining contest. The key turning point in the match came with Hernandez looking like he was on the verge of an upset, right up until the point Prudence dived clear of his springboard crossbody and Hernandez crashed hard into the mat. Prudence capitalised quickly with the pin, to score the three count. Winner: James Prudence, via pinfall, in 8:12 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> Watching along backstage, Joe Sexy and Frederique Antonio Garcia both celebrated their teammate's win. Discussion quickly turned to their match tonight though, with Sexy wanting them to keep Prudence's momentum going. Sexy explained to Frederique that winning tonight was important, but what was even more important would be dealing with that "lice-picking lunatic" Jungle Lord. Sensing the angst in Sexy's voice, Frederique urged him to relax. Jungle Lord might have given himself and Prudence a bump on the noggin last week, but this week they'd take care of him and make sure he wasn't a factor in the battle royal. Sexy seemed pleased with the mere idea. (B-) A video aired hyping the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal at Nothing To Lose and the interactions over the recent weeks between those who'd be involved. (B-) Backstage, Ana Garcia was standing by with the World Champion Remo for thoughts on having to defend his title on Thursday against the man who ended his first title reign, Jack Bruce. Remo's eyes narrowed at the question, simply stating that that was a long time ago. Remo claimed he was a stronger and smarter fighter than he was back then and this time, Bruce stood no chance. He added that tonight, Bruce would find that out first hand and when Jack looked into his eyes, he'd know what Remo is all about. The World Champion then left, having sounded pretty darn convincing in what he was saying. Huey, Scott and Zimmy spent most of the match mouthing off to each other, whilst in the ring the action swung back and forth between the three men actually involved. Randy would provide the highlight of the match with a big dive onto both of his opposition, but he didn't prove to be involved in the finish, as Laramee gave The Pain Alliance the win and pinned one half of the Tag Team Champions to do it, with the Switchblade Powerslam to Stardust getting him the pinfall victory. Winner: Kurt Laramee, via pinfall, in 7:45 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> In their dressing room, Angry Gilmore and Jessie were found, with Gilmore finishing lacing up his boots ahead of his upcoming match. Gilmore told Jessie he hoped she didn't mind him saying no to Kristen being at ringside tonight, but he didn't need any distractions right now. Jessie insisted she understood and seemed more apologetic than Gilmore was that it was even an issue. Gilmore sensed that his wife might be more against the idea than him and suggested that Jessie talk to Kristen, with Jessie saying that her sister was pretty insistent and that when she got an idea in her head, she stuck to it. Jessie said they could deal with that later though, for now they should focus on his match. (C-) The camera cut straight to Rogue who was in a non-descript hallway with a big smile on his face. Apparently having seen or heard what we just saw, Rogue addressed Gilmore and suggested he take care of his family business, because he wouldn't want anything to distract him from their match in two days. Rogue talked about Nothing To Lose being the night he finally knocked Gilmore off and the night he started his journey to the World Title. He then sarcastically wished Gilmore good luck in his match tonight and said he might take a seat and watch it, pulling a slightly dented steel chair up into camera view and smiling widely again. Trescarde was able to do little more than briefly slow Gilmore down on the way to a fairly routine win with the Sky High Elbow. Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, in 7:29 (B)</div> As Gilmore celebrated the win, Emma and Duane both noted that there was no sign of Rogue, with Emma summising that Rogue must be confident he had Gilmore's number this time. (B-)</div></blockquote> Back at the interview position Ana Garcia spoke with Valiant ahead of the main event. Valiant said he couldn't wait to get his hands on Brandon James after last week and he couldn't think of a better partner to be teaming with than Jack Bruce. Getting to test himself against the World Champion was just a bonus and he'd be happy to let Jack prove his point, while he proved his against Big Money. (B-) Duane Fry left the commentary position to conduct an interview in the ring with the North American Champion Joey Morgan about the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal in two nights time. Morgan played his cards close to his chest when asked about who he thought would win and who he would most like to face, answering both questions by saying he was a fighting champion who'd face anyone. Paul Huntingdon would interrupt the interview and take issue with that claim, because he still hadn't gotten his rightful title rematch. Huntingdon told Morgan he'd change that in two nights and encouraged him to watch closely to what he was going to do tonight. (B) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43484" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination Match Joe Sexy and Frederique Antonio Garcia vs. Jungle Lord and Robbie Retro vs. Squeeky McClean and Paul Huntingdon Morgan stuck around to watch from ringside, with six of his potential title challengers squaring off in this one. Despite the battle royal being two days away, the six involved were able to focus on teaming together, Sexy and Frederique's existing alliance of course helping them while Jungle and Retro and Huntingdon and Squeeky had no particular beef with each other. The beef that did exist was between Jungle Lord and Joe Sexy, which meant Sexy tried his best to keep Jungle Lord on the apron. Huntingdon and Morgan's issue would come to the forefront as well, with Huntingdon repeatedly yelling at Morgan when he was in the ring. Most of the match saw Retro being worked over, Jungle Lord growing more and more worked up on the apron until finally being unleashed on all five opponents with the big tag. The beating Retro took would come back to haunt him, as he tagged himself when Jungle Lord followed Sexy to the outside and the disco dude was ultimately pinned by Huntingdon for the first elimination. But Huntingdon responded by turning to berate Joey Morgan, meaning the second elimination came just moments later, when Frederique opportunistically rolled him up for the pin. Winners: Sexy and Frederique in 11:25 (B-)</div></div></blockquote> The sudden ending to the match clearly didn't settle anything and the fight quickly broke out all over again once the match was over. Frederique was symbolically hurled over the top rope before Sexy walked into a chokeslam from DeBones. Retro was next to taste a chokeslam, before Squeeky was grabbed and hit with the Skull Krusher. Huntingdon suffered the same fate as Squeeky, DeBones leaving all six men laying in and around the ring. DeBones then turned his attentions to Joey Morgan who was watching all of this from the outside of the ring and pointed his way. Duane hyped that the complexion of the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal on Thursday had completely changed, as Morgan glanced at the belt draped over his shoulder briefly as he looked on and tried to hide his concern. (C+) Ahead of the main event, a video aired hyping the main event of Nothing To Lose between Remo and Jack Bruce for the SWF World Title. Jack was fired up and the crowd were right there with him, as he and Valiant started off strong against their two rivals. Remo and James knew they had to slow their opponents early momentum down and were able to do just that when an errant knee from the outside lead to Valiant being clotheslined by Remo and the opposition took over. Bruce proved a vocal presence on the apron, keeping the crowd in his and Valiant's corner and urging his partner on through the subequent beating he took from the champ and Big Money. And when Valiant was eventually able to make a tag Jack was like a house on fire taking the fight to his opponents. The size Jack gave up to both opponents was more than made up for by rage and adrenaline as he ran through James, knocking Remo from the apron to ensure he didn't get involved. That only really succeeded in making the World Champion mad, but by the time he'd collected his thoughts and got back in Jack was ready for him and took on Remo as well. Valiant rejoined the fray just as James and Remo looked to team up on Bruce and soon all four men were going at it in a chaotic scene that the crowd were no doubt hoping to see. A frenetic final stretch came down to Valiant being flung into the barricade by James and Bruce taking out Remo with a clothesline. James and Bruce would then go at it for the final couple of minutes, culminating in Bruce avoiding a running big boot in the corner and hitting the New York Minute on Big Money as he hobbled out of the corner hamstrung by his awkward landing, picking up the win for his team. Winners: Bruce and Valiant, via pinfall, in 18:18 (B)</div> Valiant was able to rejoin Bruce in the ring to celebrate the big win, but the celebrations were brought to a brief halt when Remo returned. Holding the World Title in his hand, Remo got in the face of Bruce, Valiant watching on cautiously from the side incase anything should go down between the two. Remo doesn't resort to a cheapshot though, champion and challenger merely staring each other down, before Remo walked off mouthing "this Thursday" as he went. Remo then exited up the aisle, title still in hand, for now, leaving Bruce and Valiant to celebrate the win for the crowd.
