Herb Abrams UWF - 1991

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I had a diary going, so thought I'd try something a bit different and see how long I last. I'm using an edited version of Rising Storms for this.

UWF January 1991

UWF Fury Hour - Week 1 January 1991

The show starts with Herb Abrams looking his usual bedraggled self, he holds aloft a new belt and announces a Tournament to crown a SportsChannel Television Champion. This tournament will last right up until the planned Beach Brawl event in June, with Herb promising "marquee matches each week" as a result. Herb also drops the big one, with the news that "Colonel DeBeers will not take part in this Tournament. His recent actions meaning he has been put on watch by UWF management". (C-)

Col DeBeers defeats Tom Brandi (E)

Post-match, Colonel DeBeers came across to the announce booth and launched a tirade.

"I couldn't care less if I've been put on watch. Herb had better watch himself, he'd better watch just exactly what he does to me. Brandi just suffered, he's just lucky someone like Larry Sanders wasn't in the middle of the ring. As for Parsons...PARSONS, you ever get in my business again and I'll knock you down and out. Down and out, then I'll drag you out in to the street where your type belong!" (D-)

The SportsChannel TV Tournament draw is taking place, various wrestlers are backstage as Herb notices Bob Orton is missing.

"Has anyone seen Bob...anybody? Steve Ray, have you seen Bob...well, come on son, have you? Oh forget it, you know what here's your opponent!" Herb hands Steve a piece of paper then explains the process to the others. (C-)

B Brian Blair defeats Louie Spicolli (C-)

Bam Bam Bigelow defeats Steve Ray (D)

Bam Bam Bigelow takes a microphone after the match.

"Parsons, it would appear you're the unlucky one. The SportsChannel TV title is coming my way, sleep well until we meet!" ©

Captain's Corner sees Lou Albano sitting down with Bob Orton Jnr and John Tolos.

"Bob, we've travelled down the road and I've seen your pain at missing out on titles. Yet here..."

"Let me stop you Lou and, John, you can take tonight off my friend. You know, I have travelled Lou and I have missed out on titles. I've missed out on moments too, had my fair share of times when I had to bite my lip, be a partner, be an ACE, help guys out and it's wrong. I am the legend at being the other guy, the guy who people think oh aye him. Well, I did not come to the UWF to live that life. No sir, not for one single day will I put anyone except myself or anything except my goals first. Herb Abrams comes out on television and announces the SportsChannel Television Tournament. Big wow Lou, you know what I'm saying! Come on, you know, you've been there too. I'm not going to destroy my body for that belt, for the fans or for the SportsChannel. Indeed, until the UWF decides that they want to either give me proper competition or a World Heavyweight Title to go for then you may not seen me in that ring period!" ©

Craig DeGeorge and Bruno Sammartino are shown discussing Orton and Orndorff. Bruno verbally dances around their history a bit, mentioning that it couldn't have been easy to have been an extra on THAT show. DeGeorge comments that it's interesting that Bob's decision has apparently seen Paul Orndorff receive a bye. ©

UWF Fury Hour - Week 2 January 1991

The show starts with Craig DeGeorge and Bruno Sammartino standing addressing the camera.

"Good evening folks and welcome to another Fury Hour. We have a fantastic hour for you tonight, but first Bruno..."

"Yes Craig, but first let us introduce our new colleague on commentary. He's an old friend of mine, a familiar face and I am so happy to introduce Alfred Hayes."

"Well, thank you Bruno and hello again Craig. It really is fantastic to be here in the UWF and I'm looking forward to all these fine fine athletes putting on some great matches. I'm slightly distracted though as we're about to go to the ring, but Herb is over there on his phone."

{The camera pans across and Herb gives a thumbs up}

"Well anything can happen here Alfred, but for now I'll give a quick run down of some of the action we'll be seeing. We'll have Iceman Parsons in action against Bam Bam Bigelow. We'll be seeing Steve Williams in action and also, a debut, Matt Borne will be here. Great action promised here Bruno..."

"It is Craig, although we were expecting two debuts and sadly one of those guys are over in Japan. Of course, we'll also have Ask The Wrestlers and this week it's a question for Paul Orndorff."

"Wow, it does indeed sound like I've come to the right place Craig. Let's not wait folks, Sunny Beach is already in there so let us not keep him waiting." (D+)

Matt Borne defeats Sunny Beach (D+)

After the match, Matt walks over to Herb.

"I want that last slot!"

"I'm on the phone here Matt, I'll..."

"I WANT THAT..."

"Oh, okay okay. You've got the shot."

Both men shake hands and Herb returns to his phone call. (D-)

Captain Lou's Corner:

"Hello again everybody. You all know me, my history and my achievements. Tag champions, single champions, greats and some not so great. But, one thing is for certain and that is that I never managed a man as disgusting as this man here. I can't even say his na..."

"DeBeers, it's Colonel DeBeers, you washed up and pathetic piece of American wrestling history. Don't even try to shut me up...touch me again and I'll rip that beard off your sti..."

"What? My stinking face? Let me tell you DeBeers, your racist nonsense will not be tolerated in the U..."

"SHUT UP! You make me sick, America makes me sick, Americans make me sick and negro Americans make me even sicker. Iceman Parsons has walked in to the wrong war Captain, he's tredding dangerous ground and will be destroyed. Anyone having an issue with that has an issue with not only me, but with my country. America doesn't want to go to war with South Africa."

"Cut it short, cut it...I'm sick of hearing it..." (C-)

We return to the announce team, Hayes with a look of disgust on his face.

"Bruno, Alfred, there's not a lot we can say at this point."

"Certainly not Craig, perhaps Alfred and myself should deal with the Colonel."

"Ha, yes, that would indeed be interesting. I feel there's plenty ahead of us though." (C-)

Steve Williams defeats Dusty Wolfe (D+)

Ken Patera cuts a promo

"Kirchner, next week it's you and I in the Television Title Tournament. I've just extended my deal and you are going to see why fans of the UWF wanted me to stay. Sadly for you though, there will be no enjoyment on next weeks Fury Hour." ©

B.Brian Blair defeats Larry Power (D+)

At the announce area, Herb Abrams is standing with Craig DeGeorge.

"Not sure why I'm standing up here Herb..."

"It's so you can feint through sheer excitement Craig. Those two are lucky they're sitting down already."

"Well, I see you're off the phone."

"I am Craig and I have huge news, MASSIVE news. On the last Friday of this month, we will debut our monthly New York show!!!!"

"Wow, that is big news and I'm just going to sit down and recover whilst the next match is on." (E+)

Greg Valentine defeats Riki Ataki (D+)

Ask The Wrestlers:

"Wow Dennis, that's a great question and thank you for asking it. It doesn't surprise me that Bob Orton has made that statement. It annoys me, but it only annoys me because the fans could be missing out on a wonderful match. It would be foolish of me to announce any plan and Paul Orndorff isn't foolish. Hopefully we will see that match though Dennis and I hope you'll write in afterwards to tell us how much you enjoyed it." (C-)

UWF SportsChannel TV Title Tournament First Round match:

Bam Bam Bigelow defeats Iceman King Parsons

[Col DeBeers would come to ringside during the match, distracting both Parsons and referee Larry Sanders. The finish came as Bigelow whipped Parsons in to the corner, taking out Larry Sanders. The count was made by replacement official Jesse Hernandez.] ©

"Hello and welcome to another fantastic hour on the Fury Hour."</p><p> </p><p>

"It'll be fantastic indeed Craig. Though, not as fantastic as the announcement last week."</p><p> </p><p>

"The Big Apple Bruno, as you know I've worked there many many times and can't wait to get back. What I can wait to see again is Colonel DeBeers. What absolutely despicable actions last week. How have you both managed to put up with it?"</p><p> </p><p>

"With great difficulty, let me tell you. I'm not so old that I couldn't teach him a lesson, but I have to remain professional and work with Craig and now yourself Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"We both thank you for that Bruno, keep the madness away from us. But now, let's go over the madness that we will be bringing to our fans this evening. We'll have Ken Patera in tournament action versus Corporal Kirchner, Iceman Parsons will be talking to Captain Lou and by the looks of it we're also going to see Colonel DeBeers in action."<strong> ©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #1</strong></p><p>

The Power Twins defeated Wet 'n' Wild <strong>(E-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Captain Lou's Corner:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"You know folks, I'm usually ranting and raving on here. You see the mad side of Captain Lou, but tonight it's a different mad. You see, I'm mad about Colonel DeBeers, mad about his actions and mad about his words. It's not something we want in the UWF and, Iceman, I am sorry."</p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you Lou, that's appreciated. You know, the Colonel cost me my match last week, disgusted everyone with the words he'd speek, he caused suffering to a friend, but we will see this end. DeBeers, you cost me my title opportunity and so I'm going to cost you brother."</p><p> </p><p>

"When, when?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Oh he'll find out soon enough Lou."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Iceman, and you too DeBeers, remember that Captain Lou has many friends out there willing to do him a favour." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Debbie Coombs and Judy Martin go to a 10 minute time limit draw <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

We are taken to Herb Abrams and Alfred Hayes.</p><p> </p><p>

"On the last Friday of this month the UWF are going to be in the Big Apple for a major show with all our stars."</p><p> </p><p>

"Fantastic news Herb, I've only been here a short time though the expertise of these fine fine wrestlers has already impressed me."</p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you Alfred, that means a lot. A LOT MY FRIEND!!! It'll also mean a lot to guys like Paul Orndorff, Steve Williams, Bam Bam Bigelow and Ivan Koloff."</p><p> </p><p>

"Each of them fine wrestlers in their own way. You don't need to like them all, but you can certainly respect them. Wow!"</p><p> </p><p>

"WOW indeed, WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! You know what, you'll bring some friends with you won't you Alfred. I know you've been back home for tea...love tea, LOVE IT!"</p><p> </p><p>

"You've taken me on the hop a little..."</p><p> </p><p>

"We'll talk later. But now, back to the action and I'll just wait here" </p><p> </p><p>

{Herb starts whistling} <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

Riki Ataki defeats Colonel DeBeers by Count Out</p><p>

[DeBeers would refuse to start the match as Larry Sanders was the assigned Referee. Eventually he entered the ring, but only if Sanders refereed from outside. Ataki would hit a top rope dropkick and cover, DeBeers claimed a fast count and the complaints would continue. Eventually Debeers would just step out the ring and take the count out.] <strong>(E)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A voice is heard bellowing across the venue</p><p> </p><p>

"DEBEERS...get your worthless racist ass over here!"</p><p> </p><p>

{Debeers exits the ring and gets straight in Herb's face}</p><p> </p><p>

"Step back...back..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Are you on something sir?"</p><p> </p><p>

"What? No, shut up...I've had enough of you. Attacking referees, using the n word, THE N WORD. Rumble in the Apple, we'll see the end of you. Now, get out my sight. Take us to commercial or something, NOW!" <strong>(E)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Don Muraco cuts a promo</p><p> </p><p>

"Next week, it's you versus me Cactus Jack. You're a bit out there brother, but next week on the Fury Hour it will be me taking you out of Television title contention." <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Your Uncle, seriously...your Uncle! You stupid, ignorant, American fool! I'm Ivan Koloff, I look like nobody. I'm the Russian Bear and I'll destroy anyone inside or outside of a pathetic cage. I want everyone in a cage, just tell me and I'll tear them all apart." <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>UWF Fury Hour - Week 4 January 1991</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

"Hello everyone, welcome again to the Fury Hour and all your UWF stars."</p><p> </p><p>

"You know Craig, we're days away from our show in New York...the Rumble in the Apple. I believe Alfred may even have news on that."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Bruno, ha, I do have news and it's both good and bad. Although, tonight, we will see someone in action who really really is a ball of fury!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Good and bad Alfred, oh dear! But anyway, on to the show and we'll be having tag team action as Colonel DeBeers gets in the same ring as Iceman Parsons."</p><p> </p><p>

"Is Larry the Referee? I hope Larry is the Referee Craig, maybe we'll see DeBeers get what's coming to him."</p><p> </p><p>

"Moving on, we'll have Don Muraco in the Television Tournament."</p><p> </p><p>

"Will we be seeing David in this Tournament Bruno? He's always looked to me like a fine fine young wrestler."</p><p> </p><p>

"We might Alfred, he's not been in action much though I'd hope we'll see him in the eh Tournament."</p><p> </p><p>

"Folks, I'm getting word that we are to pass things on to Herb..." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{We go to Herb at ringside}</p><p> </p><p>

"BAD Alfred, BAD...REALLY??? I'll get to that later. For now though, what a night I have planned for everyone on Friday in New York. We will have all the UWF stars there, PLUS I have opened my big fat wallet and I'm hoping to bring you all the answer to a question that has been raging on since Nineteen FREAKING seventy nine!!! Don't forget that on the night you can pick up all the UWF merchandise. Oh, I almost forgot...CRAZY ME!!! Fans in the South West will be able to watch the action on KDOC-TV, providing they can stay up long enough." <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #1</strong></p><p>

Mark Rocco defeats Riki Ataki <strong>(E+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Herb walks across to Mark as he leaves the ring}</p><p> </p><p>

"WOW, Mark Rocco...you are indeed a ball of fury and what better place."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yeah, yeah, the ball of fury on the FURY HOUR!!! Great, bloody great...you know, I'm not here to...</p><p> </p><p>

{Alfred has now appeared}</p><p> </p><p>

"Is this your good news Alfred?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Herb, unfortunately Mark can't be in New York. That's bad news for our fans, but good news for the wrestlers in the back."</p><p> </p><p>

"I wouldn't want to fight him, I wouldn't want to fight you Mark."</p><p> </p><p>

"I'd kill you!"</p><p> </p><p>

"HA..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Rocco walks off}</p><p> </p><p>

"Fine fine fellow, his father was a master of the ring. Although, sadly he won't be in New York. I can promise some flamboyance though."</p><p> </p><p>

"You always bring that, but for now I see a match behind me that's about to start and it is going to be FANTASTIC!" <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Greg Valentine defeats David Sammartino <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p>

Valentine takes a microphone after the match</p><p> </p><p>

"See that, whomever has their name on the board next to me on Friday night. That will be your future!" <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Captain Lou's Corner:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"It's your Captain here again, with two things on my mind tonight. Firstly, the ask the wrestler letter is for me. I'm not a wrestler, but any way I have the letter right here and I'll give Justin his answer. I've managed many men in my career, some of them are in the UWF and some are not. It'd be unfair to say who's best, but what I can say is that one of the best will be in New York on Friday night. Now, to this man to my right. Paul, I don't think I ever managed you did I?"</p><p> </p><p>

"No Lou, you never had that wonderful experience."</p><p> </p><p>

"Oh I never had..."</p><p> </p><p>

"No, you never had. Now, why am I on here when I could be out in that ring?"</p><p> </p><p>

"I just wanted to ask you what you're doing Friday night. Will we see you against Williams, perhaps against Bob Orton even."</p><p> </p><p>

"You know what, just stop. You know I don't know, Herb keeps those things under wraps. I've had the bell ring and not even have my opp...ahhh that doesn't matter. Friday will be a wonderful night and, no matter who it is, I'll be the winner." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{We return to ringside as we see Iceman Parsons holding the ropes open to allow Larry Sanders to get in. Col DeBeers is outside.}</p><p> </p><p>

"I'll just wait here for my tag partner. I'll be in the match, but I'm not getting in there with you two negros!" <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

Iceman Parsons & Tom Brandi defeat Ivan Koloff and Col DeBeers by DQ. <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p>

[DeBeers refused to enter the ring during the match. Koloff had Brandi close to submission when Parsons came in to make the save and DeBeers threw a loaded punch to knock Parsons out. As Sanders called for the bell, DeBeers attacked him too and we cut away from the ring.]</p><p> </p><p>

"Folks we're sorry, but we just can't show you what is happening in the ring. We have Herb in there shouting..."</p><p> </p><p>

"He should be punching Craig, punching and kicking. I'd get in there myself, but it looks like DeBeers is at least now walking away."</p><p> </p><p>

"Shocking shocking scenes right in front of us here. Parsons is out cold and Sanders is, well no need to tell anyone what has happened."</p><p> </p><p>

"Right, it looks like our next match will be cancelled due to time constraints. So, let's go over to Matt Borne who has some words for us." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Matt Borne cuts a promo.</p><p> </p><p>

"Orndorff, enjoy Friday night my friend. Next Wednesday night, right here on the Fury Hour, all your enjoyment ends as I defeat you in the Television Tournament." <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>UWF Rumble in the Apple - Week 4 January 1991</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

"Hello folks, it's time for the UWF to Rumble in the Apple. I'm Craig DeGeorge and you all know these three men either side of me."</p><p> </p><p>

"It's great to be back in the Apple, New York, where I won so many matches. Tonight though, we're all here I believe to answer a question."</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb looks briefly disappointed}</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Bruno, that's why I have asked to be in the ring just now. I did tell everyone that we'd answer a question that's been raging on since nineteen seventy nine."</p><p> </p><p>

"That's most most disappointing..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Tell me about it Alfred, but also let me stop you right there. BECAUSE I can now answer a question that is a lot more important. It's only been raging on for a few weeks, but I HAVE THE ANSWER. I've driven across country, I've been on the phone most of yesterday and I've been up all night. I look like crap, but this THIS doesn't...</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb pulls the belt from the bag he's been holding.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow Herb, that's the NWA World Heavyweight Title!"</p><p> </p><p>

"YES IT IS Bruno, feel like coming out of retirement? Ha, anyway, let me bring out the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion...Steve Keirn."</p><p> </p><p>

{Steve Keirn makes his way out and in to the ring. He shakes hands with everyone and receives his belt back.} </p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you for the loan Steve, we'll see you later on tonight."</p><p> </p><p>

"No problem Mr Abrams and, Bruno it's an absolute honour to be stood in the same ring."</p><p> </p><p>

{Steve leaves the ring again.} <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{DeGeorge and Alfred have left the ring and leave only Bruno and Herb.}</p><p> </p><p>

"So the UWF is now part of the NWA, that is amazing Herb. The UWF really is becoming the place to be!"</p><p> </p><p>

"You have no idea of my plans for the...oh, wait..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Steve Williams, Bob Orton Jnr, Ken Patera and Paul Orndorff have each come down to the ring from various corners of the arena.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Hi guys, neither of you are taking on Steve Keirn tonight..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Steve Williams grabs Herb and walks him back to the corner and against the turnbuckles.}</p><p> </p><p>

"The the...the UWF is though the new exclusive home of the NWA National Heavyweight Championship and you'll all be involved tonight."</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb sorts his suit jacket as the wrestlers back down and start leaving the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha Herb, I shouldn't laugh. A Tournament though, right here in..."</p><p> </p><p>

"I never mentioned a tournament..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Bob Orton Jnr stops in his tracks, turns and walks back over.}</p><p> </p><p>

"What do you mean not a tournament? There's four of us, FOUR! Is it tag, man making the cover wins?</p><p> </p><p>

"Nope."</p><p> </p><p>

"Tag elimination then winning partners fight or last member wins?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Nope and nope."</p><p> </p><p>

{Bob scratches his head whilst the other three competitors wait in their positions at ringside and in the aisles.}</p><p> </p><p>

"What's...what's left?"</p><p> </p><p>

"All four of you, YOU'LL WRESTLE AT THE SAME TIME and the last pinfall wins."</p><p> </p><p>

{Orton gets in the face of Herb, obviously making a few threats, before leaving the ring. Outside the ring we quickly switchg round Williams, Orndorff and Patera as they point to the ring, shout threats and then make the taking the belt gesture prior to walking off. The ring clears as the Referee appears for the first match.} <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Women's Championship</strong></p><p>

Debbie Coombs defeats Misty Blue</p><p>

[Fairly standard women's match, the finish came when Misty missed a dive in to the corner and Coombs applied a grounded hammerlock.] <strong>(E+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{DeBeers notices Lou Albano outside the ring...}</p><p> </p><p>

"Here to help the negro Lou, you don't want to get involved."</p><p> </p><p>

{Albano just stares at him.} <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Iceman Parsons defeats Colonel DeBeers in a steel cage match.</p><p>

[There was nothing scientific about this match. DeBeers was obviously unsettling Parsons each time they locked up. A rake to the eyes by DeBeers saw him follow it up by taking Parsons down and again it appeared as if he was whispering in Parsons ear. Parsons worked his way free, but in his rage missed a clothesline as both men got up and he was thrown in to the cage by DeBeers. The remainder of the match saw DeBeers working over Parsons until he had him tied up in the ropes. As the referee attempted to free Parsons, Larry Sanders had hobbled down to ringside. He rattled the cage with a walking stick, distracting DeBeers who also caught the towel that was thrown in and threw it back outside. </p><p> </p><p>

Parsons, now free from the ropes pushed DeBeers in to the cage and rolled him up for the three count.] <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Post-match, DeBeers would corner the Referee then turn his attentions on Parsons and Albano as they left the ring. He clotheslined both men then went after Larry Sanders as the crowd started going crazy. DeBeers thought he was causing this and cornered Sanders against the corner of the cage on the outside. The crowd got wilder as DeBeers grabbed the walking stick, raised it and...had it ripped from his hand by ANDRE THE GIANT. Andre dropped the stick, grabbed DeBeers and threw him backwards in to the cage. As DeBeers bounced back, Andre picked him up and carried him out of the arena.} <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{For the benefit of the KDOC-TV coverage, we were taken to the announcers.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow Bruno, just wow!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow indeed Craig, Lou did warn DeBeers that he has friends."</p><p> </p><p>

"What a mighty mighty giant of a friend he has found." <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

{This match was supposed to be Ivan Koloff versus B. Brian Blair, but it never took place. Koloff came down right behind Blair and launched him in to the remaining section of steel cage. Ring crew scarpered as Koloff went to work on Blair, pointing out at the fans and then pointing at Blair before throwing him at the remaining section again. A fan would leap the barrier, Koloff turned and his attempted punch was blocked. The fans hood came down and we'd all see it was actually Jim Brunzell. Koloff would back off and leave as Brunzell tended to Blair.} <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #4</strong></p><p>

Matt Borne defeated Dusty Wolfe</p><p>

[The finish came with a bridging German Suplex after an atomic drop.] <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #5</strong></p><p>

Adrian Street defeated Steve Ray</p><p>

[Four minutes of old school British mat work and Street's flamboyant gestures were finished off by a beautiful floatover suplex for the pin.]<strong> (E+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{After the match, Herb and Alfred make their way across to Adrian.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Hello Alfred, I don't have Linda with me. She'd have loved to have seen you, it's been too long. Thank you for inviting me to the UWF."</p><p> </p><p>

"No problem Adrian, I..."</p><p> </p><p>

"So, are you?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Oh hello...whatever could you mean? That's nice isn't it Alfred. I should kick his teeth in!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, Rollerball Rocco wanted to kill me!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Did heeeeeeeeeeee? Well, I can see why."</p><p> </p><p>

{Adrian storms off in a huff.} <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #6</strong></p><p>

Cactus Jack defeated Riki Ataki</p><p>

[Cactus hit the elbow off the ring apron then dragged Riki in to make the cover.] <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA National Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

Bob Orton Jnr defeated Steve Williams, Paul Orndorff and Ken Patera in a four way elimination match</p><p>

[surprisingly, Steve Williams was eliminated first in this one as he and Ken Patera first battled it out in the ring and then took it to the outside. Williams hit a running powerslam to the outside on Patera, but appeared to injure himself as he did so. Patera was able to get Williams back inside and apply an arm bar for the submission, before then being school boyed by Orton. Orton and Orndorff had spent the majority of the match until this point posing, gesturing, stepping out the ring and getting in each others face. Orton would eventually hit a piledriver and roll Orndorff to the outside, where he would lift up the matting. Before he could hit a second piledriver, Orndorff would manage to suplex Orton up and over. A sleeper hold by Orndorff was broken by Orton forcing him in to the ring post. A piledriver followed on to the exposed floor, with Orndorff being rolled in to the ring for the cover.] <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Herb presents Bob Orton Jnr with the NWA National Heavyweight belt.} <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Your son up next Bruno, versus Bam Bam Bigelow."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Craig and you know Bam Bam is a very tough competitor. I'm sure David will give a good account of himself." <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #8</strong></p><p>

Bam Bam Bigelow defeated David Sammartino</p><p>

[The match was a good close tussle up until around the 8 minute mark. Bigelow took control when he threw Sammartino to the corner and hit a splash that nearly ripped the top rope from the ringpost. With Sammartino staggering, Bigelow hit a standing dropkick and made the cover.] <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

Steve Keirn and Greg Valentine go to a 15 minute time limit draw</p><p>

[both men brought everything they had to the table for 15 minutes. Keirn's sleeper hold versus Valentine's figure four almost saw Valentine become the latest man to use the figure four to gain NWA gold. The action even moved outside, with the referee constantly reminding the men about the time limit. Sadly, on this occasion, UWF fans were denied the "finish".] <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Hahahahaha, you've asked someone that before boss."

"Haha, yes I suppose I have."

"I'll answer the same way, I'm going to have fun. It was fun taking DeBeers away. You know, it felt good Lou. What else that feels good...being in the UWF. The UWF is the place to be, the UWF will have everyone looking its way. Who knows Lou, I will tell you one thing though...I'm here to wrestle." (C+)

{Ivan is about to set about Parsons, but just at the corner of the screen we see Andre with Blair and Brunzell. He gestures towards the ring, Blair and Brunzell make a beeline for the ring and we focus in on both men chasing Koloff away from ringside. Koloff races past Andre, who gives him a push. We return to the ring and follow the three men now leaving, as they reach Andre they notice he's down. UWF Fury Hour - Week 3 February 1991

"Evening everybody, Herb Abrams kicking things off here on the Fury Hour! Tonight, we will be talking to Joe Cruz in the ring and that will include his contract signing."

{The crowd pop and we see Bob Orton come down and stroll over to Herb.}

"Contract signing...you're having a contract signing? That guy stole my belt Herb, it was a fast count and you all saw it. Paul Orndorff shouldn't have been at ringside, he...come on Herb, you saw what happened. I want my belt back, I want Cruz in that ring, I want a cage around it, I want it in an empty arena..."

"Woah, just hang on right there. An empty arena! Are you trying to kill this company off. We're the ultimate in sports entertainment, there's no empty arenas. I'll talk to you in the back, let me get the show started and I'll..."

"Ahhhhhhh whatever Herb, whatever!"

{Orton storms off.}

"Sorry about that folks, but THAT'S JUST HOW CRAZY THINGS CAN GET. Back to tonight, we'll see our latest new signing and coming up right now we have The Tiger Mask!" (D+)

Match #1

Mark Rocco defeats The Tiger Mask

[Rocco looked confused, not to mention disgusted, at the start. Pointing at the worker under the mask and waggling his finger. He even walked to the edge of the ring and shouted out towards Herb at ringide. The match itself was brief, the referee having rung the bell before all of this, with Rocco finishing with his Black Tiger Bomb.] (E+)

{Rocco leaps out of the ring and heads for Herb.}

"What the...who the...that was not Sayama, that was not Tiger Mask."

"I never said it was!"

{Rocco grabs Herb, who drops the microphone.}

"I don't think that is going to help him Lord Alfred."

"No Craig, it certainly doesn't appear so and, ha, Rocco now has Herb in quite the predicament."

{Rocco picks up the microphone.}

"I've wrestled in Madison Square Garden, I've wrestled in Tokyo. In Japan I'm known as The Divine Wind. Yet I come here to the UWF and the only wind around here is the wind coming out of your bloody mouth."

{Rocco pushes Herb aside and storms off.} (E+)

Captain Lou's Corner:

"Greg, my friend, it's good to have you here with me."

"Thank you Lou, it's always good to catch up."

"Now, you're one of the wrestlers I've previously managed and..."

"It was a joy Lou, I was the best of course we all know that."

"Well, maybe..."

"MAYBE? Who's better Lou? Who...Andre? Respect to him, I know he's out of ac..."

"He is! Was that you Greg, did you take out Andre? I wouldn't put it past..."

"Seriously!"

{Greg storms off.} (C-)

LMLW Match

Misty Blue defeats Rockin' Robin (D-)

"Up next Bruno, it's David Sammartino in Television Tournament action. Not in the main event though."

"No, eh, not in the main event. Let's not forget though that only last year he was wrestling eh eh in Japan..."

"If I can just step in here Bruno. Not every great match was a main event Craig, Bruno is right in pointing out Japan. It's a tough tough, dangerous almost, place to wrestle and David handled himself there most admirably."

"Thank you Alfred, that's a kind thing you just said." (D)

UWF SportsChannel TV Title Tournament First Round match

David Sammartion defeats The Black Knight (D)

Ask The Wrestlers:

"Well Chris, I'll take on anybody at any time. I'm obviously still in the Television Title picture, maybe I'll ask for a special stipulation in my next match." ©

Match #4

Bob Orton Jnr defeats Tom Brandi (D)

{Paul Orndorff is shown giving a promo.}

"I've been hearing some brave words from a certain Bob Orton. He's lost his title and wants to blame everyone except for himself. Herb, the count was fast or Herb, there was someone at ringside. I know, I know, I'm wonderful and it's hard to ignore me. So, Bob, let's settle things at the end of the month. Me and you in New York!"

"Oh I hope Bob accepts that challenge."

"As do I Bruno, that would be an amazing display of really really superb wrestling."

"Only here in the UWF folks, but enough from me Craig DeGeorge and let's get to the ring." (C-)

{We return to the ring and Bob Orton Jnr is standing in the corner as Herb enters. Herb gestures at Bob to stay back, Bob just crosses his arms.}

"If I can ask Joe Cruz to come out to the ring. Don't worry Joe, Bob will behave."

{Bob scratches his nose. Joe Cruz makes his way down to the ring.}

"Okay Joe, the first thing we're going to do is have you sign the contract on this clipboard."

{As Joe signs, Herb looks like he's just solved the meaning of life...}

"Hang on, WHERE'S THE BELT? It's through the back, RIGHT! You didn't want Bob to...SO YOU LEFT IT WITH SOMEONE."

"Ah, well, not e..."

{Bob walks towards him.}

"Right son, come on now. Where is my belt?"

"I was, I mean it, well...I mean it's my belt."

"JESUS CHRIST! Where's the belt? WHERE IS THE..."

"I was in the airport and Steve Williams was..."

"WILLIAMS HAS IT!!! He's in Japan, he's in bloody J..."

{Suddenly, music hits and we see a man walking down to the ring with the hood of a pink hood hiding his face. Herb can still be heard losing the plot.}

"...apan."

"Kid, you've really gone and done it now."

{The mystery man gets in to the ring and is about to remove his hood when he's attacked by Al Perez.}

"Christ...what the..."

{Herb leaves the ring, as Bob Orton drops Joe Cruz with one punch and follows Herb. Meanwhile Al Perez is laying the boots to the hidden faced wrestler, before hitting a German suplex then picking up a microphone.}

"First of all, I'm here to make an impact. Secondly, Lou, don't ever get in my face. It annoys me, it upsets me and when I'm like that I attack. Get it Lou, I attack."

{Perez leaves the ring as people come down to assist Cruz. They get to the hidden faced wrestler, whose hood drops down as they help him up. We get a good close up as he's helped to the back.}

"That's, yes I believe, it's Buddy Landel."

"Who?"

"Sorry Lord Alfred, I forgot you probably wouldn't know. He's the nature boy."

"Are you sure Craig, he doesn't look like the nature boys I'm aware of."

"No, Bruno, he's another one."

"Another one? How can there be another one? There shouldn't even be two of them."

"Ha, indeed Bruno. Was that in your absolutely wonderful book? A great great read."

"Well, we'd better get back to the ring for the main event of tonights Fury Hour." (D-)

Match #5

Masked Confusion, Iceman Parsons & Don Muraco vs Adrian Street, Cactus Jack, Ivan Koloff & Matt Borne went to a double stoppage. (C-)

"It's sure to be interesting Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, yes Bruno, very very interesting if nothing else. Ha!"</p><p> </p><p>

"On the show though, we will have a battle royal to find an opponent for Steve Keirn at Rumble in the Apple."</p><p> </p><p>

"It really is a fantastic deal we have here in the UWF with the NWA World Heavyweight title here."</p><p> </p><p>

"I don't know why anybody would want to be anywhere else, we really do have some fine fine talent."</p><p> </p><p>

"Okay, well let's get across to the ring." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #1</strong></p><p>

Ivan Koloff defeats Steve Ray</p><p>

[in what was basically a squash match, Koloff destroyed Ray.] <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Post match, Koloff applies a bearhug and is refusing to let go. Eventually, Masked Confusion come charging down to the ring. Koloff releases the hold and leaves the ring.} <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Captain Lou's Corner:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s1320.photobucket.com/user/TsuMirren/media/lous-corner_zpsucbf1grf.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u530/TsuMirren/lous-corner_zpsucbf1grf.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"Hello again Andre."</p><p> </p><p>

"Hello Lou and hello to all the UWF fans."</p><p> </p><p>

"Interesting you say hello to the fans, because the mail we have had since your injury. I doubt even you could lift it."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, that's nice and let me just say that I am fine. I've been told by the doctor to rest a little, so unfortunately I won't be wrestling just yet."</p><p> </p><p>

"Can you tell us what happened? We all have some idea, but..."</p><p> </p><p>

"I can't say for sure, but he's a very brave man. HAHAHAHA, very very brave."</p><p> </p><p>

"Or stupid...well, Andre, it's been great seeing you again my friend." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Cactus Jack & Adrian Street defeat Tom Brandi & Joe Cruz in a non-title match <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Steve Williams walks out to the announce desk, he whispers in Craig DeGeorge's ear and hands him a piece of paper.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Call it...okay, hang on."</p><p> </p><p>

{Craig has a phone at ringside and is able to dial the number. A sleepy sounding voice answers...}</p><p> </p><p>

"Hello, who...?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Herb, Herb, it's Craig DeGeorge."</p><p> </p><p>

"Craig? I'm what...oh you won't know the time here...hang on, I'm..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Herb we're on air!"</p><p> </p><p>

"WHAT? Damn...it's gone everywhere...why..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Steve Williams is here!"</p><p> </p><p>

"IN AMERICA? I'M IN JAPAN..."</p><p> </p><p>

{William laughs, taps the belt bag over his shoulder, and walks off.}</p><p> </p><p>

"...I was going to...DAMN!!! Well, I won't be back for Friday now. Alfred, is Alfred there? Tell Alfred he's in charge."</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb hangs up.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Lord Alfred, looks like you're running the show on Friday.</p><p> </p><p>

"Really, wow! That is certainly exciting times, such a fine fine array of talent to work from." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

Al Perez defeats David Sammartino <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Perez looks down to the announcers as Buddy Landel appears...}</p><p> </p><p>

"Last week was supposed to be the debut of Buddy Landel here in the UWF. That was ruined by Al Perez, denying the fans and viewers the pleasure of seeing THE Nature Boy in action. Bruno, I'm Buddy Landel by the way. I've held Championships across the United States."</p><p> </p><p>

{Perez has by now left the ring and steps up to Buddy.}</p><p> </p><p>

"I never knew it was you, but now the big surprise has been revealed...you're just as fake as that other Nature Boy! I've defeated some greats in the past, but you...you're not worth my time."</p><p> </p><p>

{Perez walks off.} <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{We go to a pre-taped segment with Herb Abrams and Bruno Sammartino.}</p><p> </p><p>

"It's that time again Bruno, New York and the UWF's now monthly Rumble in the Apple."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Herb and you know it really is going to be some kind of a big deal. With the NWA involvement, the talent that is coming in and the great back to basics style of product that we have. Fans in the arena and those viewing at home will see quite a spectacle."</p><p> </p><p>

"Indeed, because this is the UWF and we are the ULTIMATE in Sports Entertainment."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes we are!" <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Heavyweight #1 Contender Match - 10 man battle royal</strong></p><p>

Bob Orton Jnr, CW Bergstrom, Don Muraco, Greg Valentine, Iceman Parsons, Ken Patera, Matt Bourne, Paul Orndorff, Steve Doll and a Mystery masked man competed. The Mystery masked man took the win to become number one contender.</p><p>

[The two guest NWA workers were first to be eliminated, with the final three eliminations being a combined Muraco and Parsons elimination. Orndorff was distracted by Bob Orton, who hadn't left ringside after Patera threw him out, then eliminated by the Mystery masked man.] </p><p> </p><p>

"There you go Lord Alfred, there's part of your job done ahead of Friday."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, yes indeed Craig my job has been partially completed by that mysterious masked man." <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>UWF Rumble in the Apple - Week 4 February 1991</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>{This is the KDOC-TV version, hence the announcer segments etc.}</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Hello everyone and welcome to the greatest night in the career of Lord Alfred Hayes."</p><p> </p><p>

"Not many men have put on a show in New York."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha Craig, you could indeed say it is a great night. Although, Bruno, I'm not entirely sure that I'm putting on the show. I'm just offering these fine fine UWF wrestlers the chance to go out in that ring and wrestle."</p><p> </p><p>

"So, sir, what do you have for us this evening?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, you know I can't tell you everything. I can tell you that my old friend Adrian Street will be in tag team action alongside the crazy and downright dangerous Cactus Jack. So, wow factor right there. This one may interest you, Steve Williams will be in action and..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow Alfred, does Herb know about this?"</p><p> </p><p>

"He does Bruno, I certainly wouldn't have made such a mistake as to use Steve unless he did. Even though Steve is in such great great shape! He'll be taking part in a NWA National Heavyweight Contenders match."</p><p> </p><p>

"Of course Alfred, we have the mystery man. Any rumours on that one Bruno?"</p><p> </p><p>

"No, no rumours eh on that one. I have spoken to many of the wrestlers through back, you know being the former Champion that I am it does tend to open doors and even mouths. But, on this occasion nothing. I'm not even sure he's here, but then again..."</p><p> </p><p>

"How could you be? Ha, oh the mystery of it all is certainly absolutely fantastic." <strong>©</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

{We cut to a pre-taped advert for the Fury Hour. Herb Abrams goes through the names, not that they'll all appear, plus a reminder of the upcoming tour of America.}<strong> (E-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Women's Championship</strong></p><p>

Debbie Combs defeats Judy Martin</p><p>

[A fairly standard women's match as Judy dominated the majority. Combs would take advantage of Judy showing a bit of complacency and took the win with a neckbreaker.] <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Bob Orton has appeared at ringside.}</p><p> </p><p>

"It looks like he's looking for you Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes, I do appear popular this evening don't I. Now Bob..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Don't now Bob me, just give me the answer to one simple question."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, I'll certainly..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Greg Valentine appears, Paul Orndorff isn't far behind and pushes Greg out of the way."}</p><p> </p><p>

"This is typical, trying to duck out of facing me tonight."</p><p> </p><p>

"I'm ducking out of nothing Orndorff, I'm here to find out about this Nation..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Valentine pushes Orndorff.}</p><p> </p><p>

"...wow, well I don't..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Andre the Giant makes an appearance, causing things to calm down a little bit though Orndorff, Orton and Valentine are still making themselves heard.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Andre, wow what a surprise. Are you, surely you're not here to..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Wrestle? No, no, I'm not here to wrestle unfortunately. I'm here to offer my assistance, just in time it looks like...HAHA! I just want to have fun."</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, how about have some fun as a guest Referee outside the ring. I always find there's a lot going on that shouldn't be."</p><p> </p><p>

"Okay, you have a deal Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"You three had better go and get ready, the contenders match will be coming up before you know it if you're not careful."</p><p> </p><p>

"What sort of match is it?"</p><p> </p><p>

"You'll see...now, if you don't mind, the UWF crowd deserve some more fine fine action." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Buddy Landel defeats The Viking</p><p>

[The Viking was already in the ring as Landel's music hit. Landel entered the ring and found himself attacked immediately by The Viking. His robe still on, Landel was thrown to the turnbuckle and The Viking charged in. Landel moved aside and wrapped The Viking up in his robe before pushing him outside. The Viking injured his knee as he landed and stuggled to get much offence in as a result. Landel would eventually take the win with the figure four.] <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Landel takes a microphone after the match.}</p><p> </p><p>

"So, no doubt you're all wondering why Buddy Landel has came to the UWF. Well, it's time to put some gold around this fine waist..."</p><p> </p><p>

{No sooner than Buddy mentions gold, Al Perez comes to the ring and takes Landel out from behind. The pair brawl out of the ring and Buddy disappears to the back. Perez gets back in to the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Suddenly, Landel, you're worth my time." <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

Al Perez defeats David Sammartino</p><p>

[This match was fairly even, with Perez almost looking impressed with Sammartino's early offence. The early didn't last long, as the repetitive working of the arm soon led to Perez rolling away from an attempted knee drop. Al would work the neck for most of the match from here. The finish came right after Perez hit a swinging neckbreaker on the outside. Sammartino would get back inside and, as he regained his composure, Perez would hit a flying elbow before making the cover.] </p><p> </p><p>

"I shouldn't say it, as he's just defeated my son, but Perez impressed me out there."</p><p> </p><p>

"Impressed is the word Bruno, though I'm sure Landel would not agree." <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Tag Team Championship</strong></p><p>

Masked Confusion vs Adrian Street & Cactus Jack ends with a double stoppage</p><p>

[As before, Adrian started the match then made an early tag. The match itself didn't last long, a referee bump was the perfect time for Ivan Koloff to appear and attack Jim Brunzell. Things quickly fell to pieces, with Iceman Parsons also getting involved as he attempted to save Brunzell only to be pushed towards Cactus Jack and then attacked. The Referee made the only decision he could as he got to his feet and saw the chaos going on.]<strong> ©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Another pre-taped advert, this time the UWF fans watching on KDOC-TV are reminded about Bruno Sammartino's book, the American Tour and the stars of the UWF.} <strong>(E+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #5</strong></p><p>

Matt Borne defeats Steve Ray</p><p>

{Fairly standard generic squash match} <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Lord Alfred requests that the six competitors for the next match make their way to the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that the next match will be a twenty minute match. The winner will be the man who takes the most decisions during the match. The winner will also receive a NWA National Heavyweight Title opportunity at a future time." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA National Heavyweight Contender Match</strong></p><p>

Paul Orndorff defeated Ken Patera, Don Muraco, Greg Valentine, Bob Orton Jnr & Steve Williams</p><p>

[The match started relatively normally, with Valentine, Orton and Williams picking their man and taking the battle to the outside. Andre, who was of course the guest referee at ringside, kept out of the way and allowed the battle to go along. Williams would slam Muraco on the floor then double team Patera alongside Orton as Orndorff and Valentine traded blows. Eventually, Patera would be taken out and Orndorff would find himself triple teamed. The action would finally get back in the ring and Orndorff was slowly disected. Fifteen minutes passed without a single pinfall or submission, Patera and Muraco both getting back in to the match though nothing remotely technical was taking place. Around the 16 minute mark, Orndorff would suffer at the hands of Williams with a powerslam...</p><p> </p><p>

"What a great great match so f..."</p><p> </p><p>

Just as Lord Alfred was about to complete his piece of analysis we would see Bob Orton just turn and blatantly break Steve Williams nose. Orton would direct Valentine to hold Williams as he continued...</p><p> </p><p>

"My word, what a punch there from Bob Orton. It just goes to show there are no..."</p><p> </p><p>

...with another punch straight to the face.</p><p> </p><p>

"...well, I I. Bruno, this doesn't feel at all proper does it."</p><p> </p><p>

"No Alfred, it doesn't. Craig is sat in shock besides us, the UWF fans have started booing. I don't like what we're seeing here if I'm honest."</p><p> </p><p>

Orton and Valentine would cover Williams at the same time and make a three count, before rolling Williams out the ring and making way towards Orndorff. Patera and Muraco got back in the ring, but before they could do anything we would see Andre reach in and grab both Orton and Valentine by the legs and pull them out. Andre would crack both their heads together and throw them back in the ring. Patera and Muraco used the opportunity to get a pinfall each...counted by Andre. As they got up, Orndorff clotheslined them both out the ring and then covered both Valentine and Orton. Again, the counts were made by Andre.</p><p> </p><p>

"I make that two to Orndorff Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Craig, though I don't think the result of this match will be the main story."</p><p> </p><p>

We see a get a close up of Steve Williams, his face is covered in blood and KDOC-TV's coverage cuts from the action...] <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{KDOC-TV's coverage came back from an ad break with the main event.}</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

The Mystery Man defeats Steve Keirn</p><p>

[An excellent match rounded off the night, with the fans almost forgetting the match that had gone before it. Keirn upped his game, giving as good as he was receiving from a mat offence perspective. Eventually Keirn would attempt to rip-off the mask, with extra Referees appearing to try and stop him.</p><p> </p><p>

"That's a bit unusual Lord Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"They're just looking to maintain order Craig, this is a World title match."</p><p> </p><p>

The mystery man would fight Keirn off and used the opportunity to send him chest first in to the corner. As Keirn staggered back, the mystery man would pull off a neckbreaker and go for the first cover. Keirn would kick out, but was very quickly hit with a snap float over suplex and the mystery man would take the win.] <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{KDOC-TV's coverage stopped after the three count, so we can't bring you the identity of the mystery man.}</p><p> </p><p>

I'd spoken to the Savoldi family and, you know how it is, you discuss things and you wait and see. Then you phoned and, long story short, placed me in charge at IWCCW and I can't thank you enough. <strong>{This is the SportsChannel Bay Area version, hence the announcer segments etc.}</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Good evening folks and welcome to our coverage of Rumble in the Apple, coming to you on the SportsChannel Bay Area channel. Be lucky you weren't in New York tonight folks, because we have SHUT THE PLACE DOWN!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Certainly have Herb, the UWF have eh shut down New York. I've never seen anything like it."</p><p> </p><p>

"Two thousand fans, all pre-sales and all transported from our original venue to here. We couldn't have had the others standing outside, I'm not that type of guy folks! We're still bringing people in now, obviously not now where you viewers are."</p><p> </p><p>

"Just an amazing thing Herb, but we're here and we are going to have a Rumble in the Apple."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes we are Bruno, we'll be seeing Rick Rude in NWA World Heavyweight Championship action. We'll also see Bob Orton Jr and Paul Orndorff. Sadly, for reasons outwith our control, we won't be seeing the Mark Rocco versus Lizmark match and will bring you that at another time. But for now, let's get down to the ring and join our first match in action." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p>

CW Bergstrom defeats Corporal Kirchner by DQ</p><p>

[bergstrom wore his NWA Pacific Northwest Television title belt, but this was a non-title match. "Disappointed that we're not going to see Mark Rocco then Lord Alfred?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, yes and no. I have a great deal of time for Mark, knew his father of course, but sometimes he's his own worst enemy. I do believe we're about to see Bruno's son in action though."</p><p> </p><p>

"Indeed we are, whilst you'll also get your fix of World of Sport style action when we see Adrian Street later on."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

<strong>Match #3</strong></p><p>

Ivan Koloff versus Jim Brunzell went to a double stoppage finish</p><p>

[Koloff started well, but Brunzell very quickly got on top and had Koloff reeling. A low blow saw Koloff get back in the match, but that was short lived. Brunzell eventually wore down Koloff and hit a clothesline in the corner, just as Referee Larry Sanders appeared to be distracted. Brunzell left the ring, came back in with a chair and by this point Colonel De Beers had appeared at ringside. As De Beers remonstrated with everyone within ear shot, the bell sounded and Herb Abrams even appeared.] <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Sorry about that folks, but we need to bring it back here. You'll notice Bruno isn't here..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, yes Craig, he's on his way to join Herb at ringside. What a downright despicable fellow that Colonel De Beers is."</p><p> </p><p>

"We thought we'd seen the last of him Alfred, obviously not. But now, for our SportsChannel viewers, let's bring you some footage of events that actually took place after Fury Hour on Wednesday."</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb is shown standing in the backstage area, Al Perez comes in to his view.}</p><p> </p><p>

"PEREZ, hey PEREZ...here, now!"</p><p> </p><p>

"What?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Don't what me? I'll do the whats around here pal! What the hell was that in the ring?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Hey Herb, don't go having a heart attack man. Don't go dying on us! You know exactly what that was. That was history, that was Al Perez showing that once again the Von Erich family can't just walk around..."</p><p> </p><p>

"SHUT UP, I've heard enough. You know what, don't bother turning up to New York. GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!"</p><p> </p><p>

"You can't...argh..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Al walks off, as Herb turns he has Buddy Landel next to him.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Great decision."</p><p> </p><p>

"Who are you?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Buddy...Buddy Landel, the nature boy."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ah..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Herb walks off, leaving Buddy looking confused.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, I shouldn't laugh Craig..."</p><p> </p><p>

"No Alfred, Buddy Landel won't appreciate it. I'm sure Herb knows exactly who Buddy is."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes, he was no doubt just giving Buddy a little push."</p><p> </p><p>

"With that in mind, Buddy is actually in the ring right now. So, let's get down to the battle royal." <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #4</strong></p><p>

A Battle royal featuring Buddy Landel, Chaz Taylor, Greg Valentine, Iceman Parsons, Louie Spicolli, Matt Borne, S.D.Jones, Steve Keirn, Sunny Beach and The Viking was won by Buddy Landel.</p><p>

[Jones, Beach and Spicolli had already been eliminated by the time we went to the action. Chaz Taylor became a bit of a bouncing ball, with Keirn being eliminated with him as he tried to eliminate Borne and The Viking. Parsons in turn eliminated those two, then was subsequently put over the top by Greg Valentine. Landel would take the victory after both men had traded figure fours. Valentine would attempt to suplex Landel out, his leg couldn't take the strain and Landel would recover and clothesline Valentine out of the ring.] <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Adrian Street & Cactus Jack defeat Billy Anderson and Riki Ataki</p><p>

[Anderson took off his Black Knight mask pre-match, which had Adrian Street reeling a little. As with all Cactus Jack matches, the action moved to ringside and Ataki was dropped on to the ring steps. Anderson, fearing the count out loss, went to enter the ring but was caught out as Cactus kicked the rope then covered Anderson as he fell inside.] <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{We get taken to Lou Albano back stage, or was he in front of a green screen...we may never know.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Everyone is asking about Lou's opponent for tonight against Rick Rude. Have I scoured the wrestling scene, have I made phone calls, have I met anyone in the bar, at a gym or even just out in the street late at night? Is it a giant, is it a former NWA Champion? You'll all see later, but I can say I've led this man to a title victory in the past." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"A title victory in the past. Who do you think that could be Bruno?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Who do I think that could be? It could be anybody, Lou has had one hundred title eh eh..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ha, not quite one hundred Bruno although you won't be too far off. One thing's for sure Craig, Rick Rude is not in for an easy night."</p><p> </p><p>

"Indeed he's not Alfred, much as I don't imagine Bob Orton won't be."</p><p> </p><p>

"No, Bob Orton won't be in for an easy night. Though, in my head, I can't see why anyone would...well, no actually..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Uhu Bruno...no actually?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Craig, unless they had some sort of plan."</p><p> </p><p>

"Subterfuge you mean Bruno."</p><p> </p><p>

"You could be right Alfred and Bruno, good point. Let's get down to ringside." <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #6</strong></p><p>

Bob Orton Jr. defeats Joe Cruz & Paul Orndorff in a Handicap Cage Match</p><p>

[There was plenty of posturing pre-match, Orton appeared to be telling Orndorff that he could watch his own back. </p><p> </p><p>

The match began with Orton singling out Cruz with a quick attack and throw in to the cage. This in turn saw Orndorff attack Orton from behind and both men would trade offense for the next few minutes. It soon became obvious that Cruz had been cut open by the throw in to the cage, which saw him take little part for the early stages. Indeed, the crowd would erupt as a white towel was seen, but it was only the medical crew passing one through. This was enough to distract Orndorff, which allowed Orton to take control and work away on Orndorff in the corner. Cruz would come back in to it with a low block to Orton's knee. This allowed both men to again have control, with Orton now being worked on in the far left corner. Orton would catch Cruz with a thumb to the eye as he scrambled to get back in to the match.</p><p> </p><p>

Around this time, a commotion would break out down at the front of the ring with the crowd erupting. Ringside cameras showed the back of a large man as he threw a Referee in to the cage and took a key from his pocket. The camera view switch back to the hard camera, but we only see someone walking through the door. Cruz notices, runs to the ropes and throws himself at <strong>SID VICIOUS</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

"That's Sid Vicious in there Bruno, what the..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Cruz is in trouble here Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Indeed he is Bruno, he's...oh Lord!"</p><p> </p><p>

At that point, Cruz is literally thrown like a javelin out through the cage door. Orndorff realises that something is going on and turns, only to be met with a boot to the mid section. This is followed up with a powerbomb, which leaves Orndorff down. Sid slaps some life in to Orton, who slowly makes his way out of the cage. The bell rings and, as it does, Sid lifts Orndorff and carries him to the far right corner.</p><p> </p><p>

"What is he going to do next? Why is he even here, how is he even here? Alfred, Bruno...any thoughts?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Just the same as you Craig, I didn't eh..."</p><p> </p><p>

"I think our thoughts don't matter. But, what a fine fine specimen Sid Vicious is. He's...oh, wait..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Alfred, oh indeed. Cruz has just been thrown in the ring by Orton, Sid is forcing the Referee to move away from Orndorff. No, no..."</p><p> </p><p>

"This can't be official Craig, it's...there's been no bell..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Bell or not Bruno, Bob Orton is leaving with the <strong>NWA National Heavyweight Title</strong> belt."] <strong>(D-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"We have absolute carnage at ringside folks. Just, sheer carnage...Joe Cruz is lucky to be alive."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Craig, carnage at ringside is exactly what we have. The cage is being removed, Cruz is being placed on a stretcher and Orndorff is being led away."</p><p> </p><p>

"We still have Rick Rude versus...oh here's Herb."</p><p> </p><p>

"Herb, this can't be right. This might be the most controversial thing to happen in the history of New York wrestling."</p><p> </p><p>

"Bruno, I don't know. Contracts get signed, wrestlers make verbal agreements. All I know is that Orndorff agreed that if Orton won he would get a NWA National Heavyweight title match."</p><p> </p><p>

"You mean Bob Orton Jr. might be the new Champion?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Craig, like I say, I don't know. There was no bell, I've got a lot of things to sort out right now. Man, phew, what a night. I need to go, I need to see how Joe Cruz is. DID YOU SEE HIM...a dart, a human DART!" (C-)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

Rick Rudes defeats Don Muraco w/Captain Lou Albano</p><p>

[Rick and Don both traded control through the early stages. As soon as Rick took full control, Lou was up on the apron or reaching under the ropes. Don would come back in to the match briefly, with Lou calling up for him to finish it. Don, inexplicably, would talk to Lou through the ropes and this gave Rude a chance to recover. He would hit Don with a DDT then pulled out of the cover, taunting Lou as he did. Rude would go through his full repertoire, tauting Lou with fake covers over and over until eventually hitting a Rude Awakening for the finish.] <strong>(B)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>UWF Fury Hour - Week 1 April 1991</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

{The show starts with Herb Abrams standing in the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"I hope Herb knows what he's doing being up there alone Lord Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes indeed Craig, he must be worried. Though I'm absolutely certain our fine fine wrestlers wouldn't dare injure him."</p><p> </p><p>

"Hello folks, once again I'm Herb Abrams and this is the Fury Hour. I still have some major announcements to make, didn't have the chance last week...but first..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Bob Orton walks out to the ring with John Tolos, NWA National Heavyweight belt around his waist.}</p><p> </p><p>

"...but...erm...okay, looks like we're..."</p><p> </p><p>

"All you need to do now Herb is announce me as the new NWA National He..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Bob, BOB, if you'll just calm down."</p><p> </p><p>

"Okay, I'm calm. It's finally happening John, can you feel it."</p><p> </p><p>

"Actually Bob, it may not be that simple. I've looked through the contract for the match and..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Paul Orndorff and Joe Cruz have made their way down to the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"DAMN! Paul, Joe, can't you..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Sorry Herb, but we're just here to get back what is rightfully Joe's."</p><p> </p><p>

"Rightfully Joes, rightfully Joe's. You know what Orndorff, I'd have thought you'd have more on your mind. That aside, you interrupted Herb here and got him all flustered."</p><p> </p><p>

{Bob fixes Herb's jacket and straightens his hair.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Go on, you were about to tell me I'm the champion. Weren't you Herb!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well, actually, no. You see, the contract..."</p><p> </p><p>

"I don't sign the contracts...John, what's he talking about here?"</p><p> </p><p>

"...the contract, that as you rightly point out was signed by John, didn't specify that you'd get your match last night."</p><p> </p><p>

{Orton turns to John Tolos and lays him out. At the same time, Joe Cruz reaches for the title belt...}</p><p> </p><p>

"Woah there kid, you'll be next if you don't get your hands off that belt."</p><p> </p><p>

{A brawl starts between Orton and Orndorff, Herb runs out of the ring and we cut to an advert.} <strong>(C-)</strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p>

"Beach Brawl, you just never know who'll be there folks!" <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Welcome back folks, we appear to have gotten some sort of order restored. With that, it's time for our first match and one you'll be interested in Lord Alfred."</p><p> </p><p>

"Very much so Craig. Mark Rocco is going to bring his own brand of fairness to the UWF. You know, I actually bumped in to him earlier and I'm slightly worried."</p><p> </p><p>

"Worried Lord Alfred...in what way?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Craig, he appeared a little too intense to me. He was shadow boxing the wall and giving it a frightful battering. Didn't say much, but did promsie to destroy Lizmark." <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #1</strong></p><p>

Mark Rocco defeats Lizmark in a two out of three falls match.</p><p>

[Fall one went to Rocco, after seven minutes of fantastic technical wrestling. Lizmark would come back with fall two, rolling up Rocco and taking him by surprise. That was it for Rocco as he launched Lizmark out of the ring and bounced him around the ringside area. All the while hollering at him, getting more and more angry. Eventually he would throw Lizmark in to the ringpost and took the third fall via a count out.] <strong>(F+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Someone get out here and take that nancy boy away! Lord Alfred, get in here and raise my hand."</p><p> </p><p>

{Lord Alfred gets in to the ring.}</p><p> </p><p>

"See that, THAT, that was fair. That's what happens when..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Rocco pauses briefly.}</p><p> </p><p>

"...when you get in the ring with the Rollerball. Nancy boy Alfred, an absolute nancy..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Rocco pauses again and reaches for Alfred.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Mark...are you okay?"</p><p> </p><p>

"Fine Alfred, fine. It's just taken a lot out of me that match, but that's what I put in to every..."</p><p> </p><p>

{Rocco stops again and at this point drops to one knee and whispers up to Alfred. Alfred looks across to the announce area, shaking his head.} <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{An advert plays for Lou's Celebrity Hotline.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Wooh, they're all calling the wrestling celebrity hotline baby!" <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Highlights of the Rick Rude versus Don Muraco match from Rumble in the Apple are shown.} <strong>(B)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match #2</strong></p><p>

Adrian Street, Cactus Jack & Matt Borne defeat Billy Anderson, Riki Ataki & Don Muraco <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

"Well Bruno, next up is an interesting match."</p><p> </p><p>

"Yes Craig, it is indeed an inter...oh, here's Alfred back."</p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you Bruno, a little worried about my friend Mark but I am back."</p><p> </p><p>

"How is he Alfred?"</p><p> </p><p>

"I'd rather not discuss it Bruno, sorry to be out of character a little and sorry to everyone at home."</p><p> </p><p>

"Okay guys, well let's get to the ring then and our next match. Which, Bruno, I'll let you explain."</p><p> </p><p>

"Thank you Craig. I eh think this is a wonderful thing for the UWF. We have a championship match from the IWCCW, which we hope the fans at home will really enjoy." <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>IWCCW Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

Tony Atlas defeats Ivan Koloff <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

{Herb is backstage with Kevin Von Erich.}</p><p> </p><p>

"Well Kevin, an IWCCW Heavyweight championship match RIGHT HERE in the UWF!"</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow Herb, just amazing. I sure hope the folks enjoyed it."</p><p> </p><p>

"I'd also like to apologise for the actions of Al Perez."</p><p> </p><p>

"Ah, that's okay. He's scheduled to work for the IWCCW over the next while and I'm sure he'll receive a warm welcome."</p><p> </p><p>

"Okay, so, on to my next major announcement. But first, did you watch Wrestlemania Seven that aired the other night?"</p><p> </p><p>

"I erm, I don't..."</p><p> </p><p>

"I DID and I thought it was absolutely abysmal! Not one Championship match, NOT ONE!!! <strong>{for clarity, I'm refering to the WM VII in this game world}</strong> We've just watched the UWF host a Championship match for ANOTHER PROMOTION! Oh, almost forgot...check these letters Kevin, LOOK at the post marks on them."</p><p> </p><p>

"Wow, gosh darn it they're from all over the world. We've got Japan, England, France, Mexico..."</p><p> </p><p>

"Amazing isn't it and it got me thinking. That and the rubbish that was Wrestlemania Seven. So, I got on the phone and I did some networking. The UWF, in May, will have their first pay per view and it'll be Championship Mayhem...a night of Champions. What's even better is that we are going to allow the UWF viewers the chance to decide where we run the show."</p><p> </p><p>

{The below graphic appears on screen.}</p><p> </p><p>

"So, it could be in the legendary Dallas Sportatorium or one of the other fine venues shown on screen. But, for now, back to the ring. Just write in, giving your views and we'll announce the answer on next weeks FURY HOUR." <strong>{Get voting folks}</strong> <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NWA World Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p>

Rick Rude defeats Steve Keirn </p><p>

Okay, my blatant bias is going to show here, but I vote for Dallas as well! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

UWF April 1991

UWF Fury Hour - Week 2 April 1991

"Hello folks, Herb Abrams here again for another Fury Hour. You'll all recognise this man, THIS GIANT...Andre, it really is good to see you."

"Thank you Herb! You know, it's good to be back in here in the Universal Wrestling Federation. I keep up with everything on the hotline. I even dial in..."

"NO, SERIOUSLY...ANDRE DIALS THE HOTLINE!"

"...oh I do. But, I have to apologise. I've been busy, I told my old friend Lou that I was here to wrestle and I haven't."

"Well, how about you tell everyone what you have been doing."

"Okay, thank you Herb. I've been wrestling in Japan..."

"JAPAN, have you kicked the life out of Steve Williams?"

"...no, no, I haven't..."

"SHAME!"

"...I err, I am a Tag Team Champion. I'm very proud of that, fans...ha ha ha...fans, they love it when I come in and destroy everyone. I had the chance to face Stan H..."

{At that point Al Perez comes racing in to the ring and cracks Andre across the back with a steel chair. Andre reels, Perez winds up again and cracks Andre across the back of his left knee and he goes down. Perez turns to Herb, who is backing towards the corner. Perez picks up the microphone.}

"Do you think last week was funny Herb? You think sending me away makes you powerful, makes you clever? HEY BRUNO, yeah I'm talking to you...how's your son?"

"What does he mean by that Bruno?"

"He knows Craig, he er just he knows."

"HA, yeah...you don't look too happy down there."

{Perez drops the microphone, leaves the ring and exits. Meanwhile, support staff are helping Andre to the back as Herb gestures to cut.} (D+)

{A UWF Powerline advert plays.}

"If you haven't managed to dial-in yet, do so NOW. Don't trust the magazines, don't believe the hype elsewhere. Get the real news direct from the UWF!!!"

"Learn about all the fine fine UWF action, dial now!"

"Dial now, baby...yeah!" ©

Match #1

Bobby Blaze defeats Louie Spicolli (F+)

{An advert plays for Bruno's book.}

"Thank you to everyone who has bought the book so far, I hope you're enjoying the story of my life." ©

{We come back to the announce area, Herb is there alongside the others.}

"I'm sure everyone is enjoying your book Bruno. Do you think David will ever have one?"

"Thank Craig, I err...will David...I would prefer not to discuss David right now. What we can discuss is Andre. Herb?"

"Let's move along, I'll know more later."

"Okay, well my good friend and former rival Lord Alfred. You were a bit upset last week because of Rollerball, that maniac, Mark Rocco."

"Indeed I was Bruno, very upset indeed. As a matter of fact, hopefully nobody minds, I'd like to ask Mark to come out and tell us his news by himself."

{Mark Rocco appears, Herb inches himself along behind Alfred.}

"Mark, good to see you although the circumstances..."

"Yes Alfred, Al, I erm am back and it's not with my usual fire I do have to say. I'm not going to destroy Jamaica George, Kendo Nagasaki won't be receiving a thick ear from the maniac, Kung Fu won't be chased across the arena and Marty Jones won't be looking out the corner of one eye during his matches any more. It's time for me to retire, I'm no longer the World Heavy-Middleweight Champion..."

"Retired?"

"Yes Herb, retired..."

"Come on now Herb, let him finish."

"Sorry, I was just..."

"...interrupting greatness! You know, I could still destroy you. Nancy boy!"

"I'm sure you..."

"With one arm behind my back!"

"...I've no..."

"Hopping!"

"...I'm sure..."

"Blind folded!"

"...I'd be mad to..."

"With the other arm behind my back!"

"Ha, Mark, come on. Herb was..."

"Acting the arse. I'd kick his arse too, gladly. Kneeling, Sitting, Crawling, bloody..."

{Mark stops, obviously conscious of getting too upset.}

"Okay Mark, is there anything else? What's next for you? It'd be sad to see such a fine fine wrestling mind just disappear."

"It certainly would Alfred, I'm sure I could offer Mark something."

"Oh you are Herb, well tell you know what...nobody offers me anything, I usually take what I want. But, I realise things have changed so let's work together. This Pay Per View you spoke about, take it to Japan and we'll have a Tournament for a new UWF title."

"Japan! But, the viewers voted for..."

"JAPAN! It's the only place to do it."

"Okay, okay, the May Pay Per View is in Japan. Anything else?"

"No, you can go to another match or whatever you want now. I'll see you in Japan." (D+)

Match #2

Billy Anderson defeats Adrian Street (D+)

{Post-match, Cactus Jack comes down to ringside and attacks Billy Anderson.} (C+)

Captain Lou's Corner:

"You know folks, there are weeks when I really question my own sanity. I stand here really wondering what I'm doing and what is going..."

"SHUT UP LOU..."

"Don't you tell me to shut up Koloff! I'll..."

"Oh no, will you get Don Muraco on to me?"

"Well, no, he's busy later tonight..."

"HA, cowardly American supported by a stupid American. How typical of you people, how ty..."

"Us people, US pe..."

"YES, you people Lou. Let's look at the last few months. Jim Brunzell, that nobody from the WWF, comes here and tries to save his other nobody friend. Stupid, stupid, STUPID American and his..."

"I could manage them to victory over..."

"Did I not tell you, shut up? You're as stupid as that kid who wrote in, Adam or whatever his name was. Now, coward..."

"Who's the coward?"

"You know well who the coward is my friend, you know very well. Iceman Parsons, whom you tried to help. You got that big idiot, the Giant fool, to try and help. He came out and attacked this man..."

"Don't you dare...don't you bring that rac..."

{Colonel De Beers walks in to shot.}

"PARSONS, you..."

{The sound goes and we leave the scene as Koloff gets in to Lou's face.} (C-)

Match #3

Kevin Von Erich & Tony Atlas defeat The Power Twins (D)

{Herb Abrams grabs a hold of Kevin after the match.}

"Good to hear that the Pay Per View is in Japan. Shame it couldn't be in Dallas."

"Well, the UWF viewers did vote for Dallas."

"DAMN, seriously...that's just some gosh darned bad luck right there."

"But, YOU KNOW WHAT. Hey Alfred, you remember that Legends night. Fancy having it in DALLAS?"

"Do I fancy having it in Dallas? I don't see any reason why not Herb, Dallas it is."

"There you have it folks, JAPAN and DALLAS in May. The UWF, bringing you the action you want...unlike the WWF!" (D)

{We cut to a promo from Bob Orton Jnr.}

"It would seem that Herb is too scared to make a decision on the NWA National Heavyweight Title. So, I'll make the decision for him. Joe Cruz, son, you're going to wish they never invented Pay Per View. I am going to beat you from one side of Tokyo to the other." (C-)

"Tough words from Bob Orton Jnr there Bruno."

"Tough words Craig, but eh you know what...I believe him. Tokyo may be about to see the most one sided battle since Godzilla versus a car"

"Wow, a cultural reference from Bruno Sammartino. Time to get back to the action and another tough guy, Don Muraco, in TV Title Tournament action." (D)

UWF SportsChannel TV Title Tournament Second Round Match

Al Perez defeats Don Muraco (D+)

{An advert plays for Beach Brawl.}

"It's going to be a Wonderful brawl, be there or buy the show!" (C-)

{Rick Rude makes his way over to the announce area.}

"Alfred, Bruno, Craig...I hope you don't mind me coming over. I just wanted to come over and get a look at the man who claims to be the number one contender to this title." (B)

Match #5

Greg Valentine defeats Buddy Landel

[The submission finish came after Landel took his eye off Valentine and started shouting down towards Rude.] (C-)
