Who did you plan on pushing but in the end were unsuccessful in doing so?

Matt Hocking usually for me. Had him for several saves and he has never turned into the worker I hope for. Always ends up as a midcard jobber for me. Never gets his ring ability good enough for a push and never can learn to talk up to par for really any feuds.

I like Matt Hocking. However, in my TCW game, he has just suffered a herniated disc during a pre-show PPV battle royale. Of course, WHAM he gets busted for painkillers the same night. It's obvious that he was given them by the medical staff without a prescription...or Jay Chord thought it'd be funny (hate that guy).

Joffy Laine was blamed for the injury. On the bright side, I was able to have a successful surgery for Matt, and he was glad to be sent to rehab. Joffy was happy that the dude he severely injured was also happy.

Joffy seems like a nice guy. I think that I'll push him once I'm done giving Gargantuan a failed rocket push. I'm doing the fabled "oh, these guys are old and their contracts are coming up?" thing with him.

Update from a previous post: seem to be doing well for Alex Shelley now. Teaming him with Chris Sabin so maybe he just needs some tag team pushes before they break into singles. Now gotta figure out some magic with Curtis Axel. He complains he isnt getting anywhere and I would like him to succeed so he doesnt end up in the same crap different company scenario.

<p>I have no idea if I've posted this already but I'll say it again;</p><p> </p><p>

In my 1998 WCW save I think it's currently Booker T. It's 1999 and I was briefly able to get Booker up to an A in popularity before dropping back down to a B+. He's feuding with Bret Hart right now who is an A popularity. If I can't get him to stick his popularity this time, I'm going to say his cap is at B+.</p><p> </p><p>

While that's a pretty acceptable cap for an average person, it isn't acceptable for someone I'm trying to build the future of the company on. If that's his cap, he also will never be a bona fide main eventer and will never win the world title. I don't want to keep him as a US title staple.</p>

I tried pushing Cody Rhodes to the ROH World Championship as a face, but he picked up a match quality lowering injury which he had for 8 months so didn't have him pick the belt up. Tried again once he was got out of upper midcard obscurity recently and he has hit time decline so I'm going to job him down the card and send him into development to train others. Wished he didn't hit decline as I would of loved to book a Rhodes title reign.

The Berzerker, originally just brought in as a guy to be pinned in tag matches involving top gaijins I wanted to give him one miracle run in the Champion Carnival where he lucked into wins and got a Triple Crown title shot however he picked up an injury on show 1 and had to scrap the plan. My love for him was like a truck <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Yeah, I've given the title to a 49 year old Daniels but only because he hadn't hit decline until he was 49 as I was astounded he lasted that long. But I try to keep the belt on people in their prime, sadly Rhodes has past that now.

Started a Cult level company and my first champion was Fro Sure as he had my 2nd best star quality and was a main eventer. His ratings were never quite as good as some of my more talented midcard/upper mid card guys (Greg Gauge, Kirk Jameson, etc). After signing some TCW guys, I strapped the belt to "Fearless, Peerless, Perfect" Freddy Huggins and he's been one of my 2 top guys alongside Eddie Peak.

Chris Kanyon in 2000. He was wasted on drugs too many times so i sent him to rehab. Devon Storm ended up taking his spot. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

HHH and Undertaker in the 1992 mod from last years TEW. I played up to 2001 in that save and both guys were always behind all of the other main eventers in skill points. Even Diesel was ahead of both guys. I assumed it was just TEWs worker potential feature where it randomizes peoples skill gain or deterioration, right? It's interesting having that though.

Cesaro. Now the reason for it failing wasn't that I failed myself, it was that first he got injured a couple of times and then as a result of that he got hooked on pain killers.... which I found out on the same night he was supposed to win a #1 Contender's match because he showed up wasted and was sent home. Since then he has just been in rehab most of his time.

Rob Van Dam in 2001, have him in a very successful tag team with Matt hardy, and while Hardy is improving in leaps and bounds, and could dip his toe into main events this time next year. RVD has remained smack bang in the middle of the card, popularity not increasing for more than a month before going back down.

In the real world mods it's always Zack Sabre Jr. And Marty Scurll. Not that I don't want to push them just Scurll always ends up as a midcard elite. Yknow? All the US/Intercontinental titles, but he can't realistically win the world title whether because skill or popularity cap. ZSJ never gets popular enough.

Tama Tonga also gets stuck at around 80 popularity every single time and it breaks my heart.

In the C-Verse: Enforcer Roberts, CV97 is no different sadly. James Brandon (Big Cat Brandon) and Bulldozer Brandon Smith.

<p>Hamuko Hoshi</p><p> </p><p>

Tried to get her into the main event and she stalls at upper midcarder. Since I can't even consider putting the world title on her until she autopushes to main eventer, I put the alliance world title on her and she gets great results from every match she's in. I had her tagging with Gail Kim for a long stretch and they held the Global tag titles for a while until Hamuko turned heel on Gail. Their resulting matches were stellar (great chemistry wasn't the key factor either) but even when she went over, she didn't seem to gain any popularity.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm tempted to obliterate her popularity cap but for the moment, she's anchoring the upper midcard and getting match ratings in the high 70s (89 max) from midcarders.</p>

<p>Tom Zenk in 1995 WWF</p><p> </p><p>

My plan was to bring him in, avenge all the heat with Rick Martel, and then give him some momentum until he was worthy of the I/C title.</p><p> </p><p>

It just never took off.</p><p>

His matches were average, his mic work was average.</p><p>

Gave him Elizabeth as a manager - stayed average.</p><p> </p><p>

Had him team with Tugboat/Typhoon and their chemistry was VERY good.</p><p>

I even gave them a short tag team title run.</p><p>

But when I declined his request for a pay raise he asked for his release.</p><p> </p><p>
