KingKenny04
Can anyone give me a primer on how storylines and heat are supposed to work? I'm totally confused as to how it works and equally confused that something that seems so important is not discussed or shown anywhere. I'm playing the latest version of Fleisch's real world mod. I'm having trouble with all of my storylines but for one specific example, I've got one storyline where Matt Riddle is feuding with Kevin Kiley. It seems reasonable to me that if I want these guys to feud, I should have angles and matches that involve the two of them. So for example I'll have Kiley come out and attack Riddle after Riddle wins a match, which seems totally logical to me. But then when I run the angle, it tells me that the storyline had advanced but lost heat? I don't understand this at all. I apologize if someone wants to shout at me that this has been discussed before, but I can't find it anywhere. I've searched these forums and the FAQ thread and haven't found anything. The two tutorial videos I've found on youtube just say "oh yeah here's storylines but we don't care about this" and then move on without discussing it at all. Gypsumstack
Your match or angle has to have a higher rating than the storyline rating for it to gain heat.

Gypsumstack
Well, only match rating or angle rating. Any segment where the two people feuding are both in the segment.

lois lily
Actually I'll hijack this a bit. I'm running a big stable v stable. With both stables including main eventers and lower mid card tag teams. Storyline wise should k make it one big stable v stable thing with everyone selected. Or should I break it down with the main eventers and others as supporting and lower pushed superstars in a storyline with the main eventers as minor characters involved. If you are than sacrificing some heat to get them up might be worth it to you. But if you're just trying to get good ratings i'd recommend splitting it up, with minor roles to interlock them.</p>
