NOTBPW: House of Stone

Backstory

Welcome to the definition of Canadian wrestling. Home of the famous Stone family, since 1985 North of the Border Pro Wrestling has strived to provide Canada with an optimal wrestling product. Focusing on classic traditional technical wrestling, NOTBPW leans more towards the Japanese Puro style than the American Sports Entertainment model. While this often brings on criticism of “soulless”, “boring”, and “bland”, NOTBPW has begun to updated its product however since 2011 when Jeremy Stone took over from his father Dan Stone and appointing Victoria Stone-McFly as head booker.

Over the years NOTBPW has outlasted Canada Wrestling Federation, where Dan Stone Sr. made his name, and has seemingly outlasted Canadian Golden Combat after Alex DeColt took over from father George DeColt. Recently however a new war has begun as USPW has expanded into Canada, putting the number one Canadian company NOTBPW on notice.

2016

Entering 2016 NOTBPW finds itself in an interesting position. They have recently lost two of their biggest stars in the last few years to retirement (Dan Stone Jr. and Jeremy Stone) but at the same time have established themselves as the true number one promotion in Canada. Yet simultaneously are still facing the same ongoing problem for years- the inability to establish new main event stars as eight of their top ten biggest draws are at least forty years of age.

At the same time, USPW has creeped into NOTBPW territory, creating a whole new danger. While Jeremy Stone and Victoria Stone-McFly have slowly been bringing NOTBPW product up to modern standards, how will Canadian fans react to an American product like USPW, Especially a company with more star power? On one hand NOTBPW is more successful than ever, yet on the other hand they are in more danger than ever.

Welcome to the House of Stone, we do-not-break.

What to expect:

- Not long matches in writing

- Fun graphics

- User character: Victoria Stone-McFly (in game booker)

- Product Settings: Changed Mainstream to medium so I can do tainted matches

- General Booking/Product Style: Traditional wrestling like NOTBPW uses, but slowly becoming more "Sports Entertainment" as they try to compete with USPW who have invaded Canada

- Worker Signings: Will stay true to NOTBPW default roster as much as possible, except for a few additions that would make sense. Want the storylines to revolve around NOTBPW talent in the end though.

- Predictions: Will be posted for PPV's...need to figure out a prize apparently...hmmm

"Owner Goals"

- Fight off USPW in Canada

- Ensure CGC doesn't rise to become a threat again

- Establish future main eventers,(all currently 40+)

- Expand popularity in US

- Open development territory for future stars

- Create junior heavyweight division

Prior to that he had been a professional strong man. He is nicknamed "The Iron Man", a reference to his legendarily great stamina. Westybrook's all-round physical abilities are top of the range too; he is quick for a man his size, has enviable balance, and is obviously extremely strong. The latter attribute is one of his main weapons, and his style of wrestling is an explosive one, often throwing his opponents around with suplexes as if they were rag dolls. He joined NOTBPW in 2006 and has established himself as one of their top acts.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Seeing major stars such as Dan Stone Jr., Jeremy Stone, Dark Angel, RK Hayes leave in recent years and current stars such as Duane Stone, Sean McFly, Steve DeColt, and Johnny Bloodstone all in their 40's with plenty of in ring wear, late comer and fellow 40 year old Tim Westybrook was finally given his shot as champion and face of the company. Physically amazing, Westybrook's lack of charisma doesn't help the "soulless" label often thrown at NOTBPW, perhaps however a strong push with the title will change some of those perceptions. Full of energy and always able to get the fans on their feet with his enthusiasm, it's now or never to see just how high Westybrook's ceiling is.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><img alt="uPysjtX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uPysjtX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p>

Thanks, I accidentally deleted all the custom graphics I made for them :(which completely delayed me and de-motivated me. So after remaking them (except what I already uploaded to photobucket) I'm about ready with first show and will be rolling from there (f'n finally)

Steve DeColt: Duane, you don’t deserve a re-match. You just lost to this loser who it’s taken 10 years to be champion. Tim, you only won because Duane’s the only bigger loser than you – it took Duane over 20 years of wrestling to win the Canadian title! Hell I’ve been here for 7 years and have as many title reigns as you two do in 30 years! Duane Stone: Hang on Tim, let me interrupt you. Steve, it may be all about the title for you, but we all don’t have near the size of the ego you do. For us? It’s about the wrestling and these fans. Victoria Stone-McFly: I’ve heard enough from all three of you. Tim, congratulations on being our new champion, 2016 is going to be a great year and we’re proud to have you represent us. With that said, 2016 is also going to be a new year for North of the Border Pro Wrestling, we’re going to start doing things a bit differently to give these fans the best show ever.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Victoria Stone-McFly: This month we have the Big City Brawl PPV which is a battle royale to determine the number one contender. However Tim needs an opponent to defend his title on the card. Duane, in the past you would get to exercise your re-match clause, but since this a new year for North of the Border, I’ve decided to agree with Steve and have you two face each other next week for the number one contender spot. Good luck gentlemen.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

After a back and forth technical match where Love showed he can hang with the mat wrestler and Deeley showed he can hang with the veteran, Deeley was able to get Love in the Front Face Lock after hitting a German Suplex! The Natural reaches to grab Owen’s leg to pull him backwards yanking him out of Deeley’s grip breaking up the submission! The referee is yelling and warning The Natural that if he does it again he will disqualify them, but behind the refs back Owen Love low blows Deeley then hits the Love Gun (Stun Gun) for the pin!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Making his weekly defense of the TV title, Cameron Vessey takes on the young flashy high flier Sonny Wildside. The cocky blue chipper Vessey begins the match toying with Wildside but quickly regrets it as he finds himself on the outside of the ring after charging at Wildside only to move out the way at last minute! Wildside then runs the ropes and leaps springboarding off the rope hitting a senton onto Vessey!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Wildside continues his fast paced action until “The Man Without Fear” misses Vessey off the top rope and pays for it with a brutal clothesline.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

In 2009, in one of the stories of the ear, he stunningly walked out on CGC after a major fallng out with his brother Alex (who, as the new owner, gave the vacant head booker position to Phil Vibert rather than his own flesh and blood), and even more shockingly, immediately joined their biggest rivals, NOTBPW. Tell Your Husband I said Hi

sxnEfg1.jpg

NOTBPW TV tonight opens up with Victoria Stone-McFly coming out to address the audience

Victoria: Welcome everyone to our second show of the New Year, and tonight, we crown the next challenger to the North of the Border Canadian championship!

crowd cheers yayyyyyyyy

Victoria: That’s not all, as we will also crown the next challenger to our Women’s championship!”

crowd cheers again, yayyyyy

Victoria: Overall tonight should be another great show and-

As Victoria is mid-sentence, Johnny Bloodstone’s music hits and out he comes down to greet her face to face!

2ZBFPRe.jpg

Bloodstone: Victoria, you and I have known each for a long time now right? I’ve been here now, 11 years I believe it is?

Victoria: Yes Johnny I’ve had the…great pleasure, of working with you for all this time. So what’s your point?

Bloodstone: Oh come now Victoria, I don’t have a “point” to make, but there is something I want. I want my shot at the Canadian

championship that I deserved.

Victoria: Well get in line Johnny, everyone wants it, and why should I do you any favors? You’ve done nothing but try to make my husband’s life miserable ever since you got here.

Bloodstone: You see I figured you would say something like that. I know that as long as you’re in charge I’m never going to get that shot. I tried to ask nice, so now I’m going to MAKE you give my shot- by taking out McFly forever unless you do. We’re all in our 40’s now, and you still look damn good I might add. But I’m sick of playing nice and waiting my turn. I’m going to end McFly’s career once and for all!

Victoria: As much as I don’t like you Johnny, you do have a point which could be good for business. One final battle between you two to determine the next challenger, so I tell you what, I’ll think about it.

Bloodstone: Now that’s better Vickie. Tell your husband I said “Hi”.

With that Bloodstone slaps Victoria on the ass giving her a look of pure shock!

D8EN2V7.jpg

Immediately Sean McFly comes running down the ramp to attack Bloodstone but as McFly slides into the ring Bloodstone shoves Victoria at

McFly and then exits out the back side of the ring. A fuming McFly has to be held back by Victoria as he and Bloodstone continue to jaw until

Bloodstone heads to the back.

Shooter Sean Deeley vs The Natural w/Owen Love

After losing to Owen Love last week with the help of The Natural, this week Deeley demanded a match against The Natural himself. The Natural didn’t come out to the ring alone though of course, bringing his partner Owen Love with him.

For 10 minutes Deeley worked over The Natural with his far superior technical skills but was unable to put The Natural away. Just when Deeley thought he had him, Owen Love hopped up on the ring apron distracting the referee allowing a low blow by The Natural! Followed up his Nature Calls (Rolling Cutter) finisher on Deeley for the 1.2.3!

Winner: The Natural

Segment Rating: C-

After the match Owen Love gets into the ring to join his partner The Natural in beating down Deeley for the second week in a row! When will their harassment of him end!?

Mighty Cavanagh vs. Mountie Mann

After defeating Derek Frost last week, this week the Mountain of a Man Cavanagh takes on the Mountie Mann as each tries to climb the North of the Border card.

Unfortunately for Mountie Mann, he us unable to last long against Mighty and the rampage he appears to be on here in North of the Border as he easily puts away Mountie with his Sit-out Spinebuster finisher.

Winner: Mighty Cavanagh

Nina Cace vs. Kristabel Plum vs. Lauren Easter- #1 Contenders Match

This match was made last week by Victoria Stone-McFly in order to determine the #1 contender for Brooke Tyler’s Women’s championship at Big City Brawl later this month.

Three former champions make up this match, as Easter and Plum are three time womens champion while Cacace has managed to claim the title once.

The matches goes seemingly as expected and a great women’s match by most standard as they three pillars of the division proved why they considered as such.

Easter spent most of the match as her normal diva self even exiting the ring for majority of the match trying to get Plum and Cacace to fight each other until the two teamed up on Easter.

Just as it seemed Caace was going to put away Easter, Plum swooped in with Plum Tucker (Forward Summersault Cutter) to pick up the win and become the #1 contender!

Winner: Kristabel Plum

Match Rating: C-

Post-match however Brooke Tyler comes racing down to the ring! She attacks Plum from behind and locks in her patented Brooke Breaker (Sitted Full Nelson)! As Plum is screaming in agony referees from the back eventually run down to the ring to get Tyler off her. Tyler then stands in the ring with her championship belt held high over her head as she stares down at the agonizing Plum

Harlem Haynes vs. Alexander Robinson

These two teams have been feuding since Robinson & Lee lost the tag titles to Haynes & Brown. So tonight we get some singles action instead of tag action!

Unfortunately for Robinson things don’t go much better for him in tag team action as Haynes is able to use his superior athleticism and ruthless aggression to put away Robinson relatively easy with the Harlem Hustle (Falling Sideslam.

Winner: Harlem Haynes

Match Rating: D+

Post-match Omar Brown comes down to beat down Robinson along with Haynes, when Lee comes down to try to make the save he just ends up getting demolished also. The tag champs once again stand tall over their latest rivals.

Jacob Jett & Erik Strong vs. Flash & Lord James King

Two of the biggest fan favorites in Jett and Strong take on two for the smarmiest fan hated heels in Flash and King.

Jett and Strong stay in charge for the majority of the match getting the fans to chant along and getting them on their seat for a few of Jett’s high flying aerial attacks to the outside!

The match comes to a close after Erick Strong pins Flash after a Strongsault (Moonsault)

Winners: Jacob Jett and Erik Strong

Segment Rating: C

Post-match Erik Strong gets on the mic

RYaAAcu.jpg

Strong: Vessey- get your ass out here. We’re all sick of your attitude and you running from the rest of the division. So I’m challenging you right now for the TV title match at Big City Brawl!

crowd cheers yayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Out comes Vessey

mO07DTE.jpg

Vessey: Erik, Jacob, I’ve beaten both of you for this title already, and neither of you have been able to win it back. If you think I’m running Erik, then I’m happy to kick your ass one more time, so you got your match!

crowd cheers as the TV title match is booked for PPV and the two stare each other down, yayyyyyyyyy

Duane Stone vs. Steve DeColt: #1 Contenders Match for Canadian Championship

It is now time for our main event of the evening, as Stone and DeColt face off for the right to challenge Westybrook at Big City Brawl. Stone originally had his re-match clause but DeColt talked him into accepting this match and putting it on the line!

These two men hate each other and have been battling for years which, shows in the match. Plenty of back and forth action with each man trying to best the other.

Fed up of a fair fight DeColt eventually takes Stone to the outside where he slams into the steps, barricade, and announce table, however Stone is finally able to counter the DeColt Stampede from Stone’s head going into the ring post and Stone shoves DeColt into the post instead!

Both men lay on the outside until they are able to crawl back into the ring beating the count. It isn’t long however until they back outside again using any legal advantage they can. DeColt goes charging as hard as he can at Stone lying against the barricade but Stone is able to counter and send DeColt over it into the crowd!

Stone follows and the two are battling each other in the crowd, DeColt even throws a beer onto Stone! The two men are so busy with hurting each other that they have both been counted out! The referee is forced to ring the bell and both men pause for a second stunned!

Match Winner: Double Count out

Segment Rating: B-

Post-match DeColt is furious at the countdown and slams Stone down hard onto the concrete steps! Stone isn’t even moving! DeColt grabs a fans steel chair with intent on finishing Stone once and for all when here comes Tim Westybrook!

gNFjenn.jpg

Westybrook and DeColt are now battling each other but the fresh Westybrook quickly gets the upper hand and hits is TNT Whirlwind (Spinning-Sitout Powerbomb) on the same concrete floor!

The Canadian champion stands tall over both #1 contenders as the referees and arena security flood the scene as the show ends

Backstage after the second show of 2016, head booker Victoria Stone-McFly meets with NOTBPW owner Jeremy Stone.

wVJysJw.jpg

sxnEfg1.jpg

Jeremy: Well I hope you’re happy Victoria, just what the hell are you going to do now?

Victoria: I have to admit I was hoping Duane could pull it off, but both of them got out of hand.

Jeremy: This is your fault for allowing the match to happen! Duane was the rightful contender! Now what do we do with the PPV only two weeks out?

Victoria: It’s okay its okay, I have an idea.

Jeremy: Better not be any more of your crazy “sports entertainment” ideas. People like North of the Border the way it is.

Victoria: Yes people like us, but they also like companies like SWF, TCW, and USPW. Hell have you noticed Jeremy that USPW is more popular in Canada now than us!?

Jeremy: It’s a fad, our fans are loyal to us.

Victoria: Says the sinking captain. Don’t worry I got this.

Jeremy: You better, and what are you going to do about Bloodstone!? I almost ran down there myself.

Victoria: Like I said, I go this.

Jeremy under his breath “grrrrrrrr”
