How to remove time limit for events?

I've seen it on these forums and others that you can set events as long as you want, but haven't seen where I can find that setting. Some help would be greatly appreciated as I have not had much luck googling it.

Go to settings. Click on User Preferences. It's the topmost button on the left. You should get a pop-up window with a bunch of checkboxes. On the right side, uncheck the one that says "Booking times are turned on" (third from the top). Don't forget to click the save button on the bottom of the pop-up window.
