DANNY BURCH:</font></b><font color="#202020"> As she is preparing for the Number One Contender’s Battle Royal later tonight, Nikki Cross is not at ringside for the destruction of Danny Burch. Dain kicks off the match by smothering Burch in the corner until the referee is forced to break it up. This leads to Burch managing to get some clean crisp shots to the bearded mug of Killian, but that was soon his downfall. Dain keeps the advantage for the rest of the bout, flattening Burch with a big-boy senton. Killian, as Young and Wolfe yell from ringside, puts the Englishman out of his misery by nearly driving him through the mat with the Ulcer Plantation for the one-two-three.</font></p><p> </p><p>

<font color="#202020">Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe join Killian Dain in the ring for the celebration of victory. The three men stand tall in the ring as the commentary trio note that they do not know who will be able to stop SAnitY. As the group leave the ring and start going up the ramp, a set of eyes quickly emerges on the NXTron for a few seconds. <b><font color="#de9502">HEAVY MACHINERY DEF. RICARDO WATTS & HECTOR KINGSMAN:</font></b><font color="#202020"> Poor Ricardo Watts and Hector Kingsman. The gigantic duo of Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic start the match with power, with Otis mauling Watts from the bell. Dozovic flattens Ricardo in the corner and picks him up and uses his limp hand to tag Hector Kingsman into the bout. Dozovic throws Hector into the ring and connects with a splash. Otis yells out “Boom Shacka Loo” before tagging in the taller Tucker Knight who forced Hector to the mat with a stalling standing suplex. Ricardo, ever valiant, enters the ring but is crunched between the bellies of Heavy Machinery. With Watts out of the question, Otis scooped slams Tucker onto the fallen Kingsman for the victory.</font></p><p> </p><p>

<font color="#202020">As Ricardo Watts and Hector Kingsman are scraped off the ring mat by NXT officials, Heavy Machinery both grab microphones from Mike Rome at ringside. They start by saying they love to have a good time, love carb sodas, and they especially love to hit the buffet before hitting the gym. The rabid NXT Universe begin a chant of “Steaks and Weights” as Otis yells stuff into the microphone. Knight mentions that they have had a few appetizers here in NXT, but they are now looking for the main course: they want to face the Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Tucker adds that the AOP have defeated every other team in NXT, but they have never faced beef like Heavy Machinery. To finish, Knight states that he and “Dozie” are getting hungry, and it’s about time they ate.</p><p>

Gargano notes that #DIY is owed a fair rematch for the NXT Tag Team Championships, and they are calling out the Authors of Pain. Reeves looks to end things early with a few quick falls, but Hideo kicks out of every single one with ease. Itami rises to his feet and no sells a kick from Reeves and slaps the taste out of Kona’s mouth. Itami follows with a few roundhouse kicks to the noggin’ and dropkicks Kona into the corner. <b><font color="#de9502">THE BATTLE ROYAL TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP WENT TO A NO CONTEST:</font> </b><font color="#202020">Chaos ensues in this match as all fifteen competitors duke it out to begin the match. The fifteen competitors in the match are: <b>Aliyah</b>, <b>Billie Kay</b>, <b>Bianca Blair</b>, <b>Candice LeRae</b>, <b>Ember Moon</b>, <b>Kimberly Frankele</b>, <b>Lacey Evans</b>, <b>Liv Morgan</b>, <b>Nikki Cross</b>, <b>Peyton Royce</b>, <b>Rachael Ellering</b>, <b>Ruby Riot</b>, <b>Sarah Bridges</b>, <b>Sonya Deville</b>, and <b>Victoria Gonzales</b>. Kay and Royce team up throughout the match, effectively eliminating Victoria Gonzales and Rachael Ellering right off the hop. Newcomer to NXT, Candice LeRae shines in this match, but is swiftly thrown out of the ring by Lacey Evans, who receives major boos. Ember Moon connects with the Eclipse on Sarah Bridges, which leads to Bridges elimination. Liv Morgan and Aliyah, obvious good friends, work as a team to eliminate Bianca Blair and Lacey Evans. Kay and Royce are once again on the attack, this time eliminating Kimberly Frankele. Nikki Cross is right in the mix of things as she tosses Aliyah out of the ring to a huge pop. MMA fighter Sonya Deville is unable to fight her way through this fray, as she is thrown out of the ring by Liv Morgan. Deville returns in the ring and tosses Morgan out of the ring, and over-the-top-rope, and beats the ever living daylights out of the lady from New Jersey. And we are now down to five! Billie Kay and Peyton Royce continue to team up as they go on the attack on Ember Moon while Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot continue their blood feud by duking it out in the middle of the ring. Ember escapes the grasps of the “Iconic Duo” and forces them to have a meeting of the minds before dropkicking Royce out of the ring, eliminating her. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Riot manages to clothesline Kay over the top rope and to the floor, eliminating both members of the “Iconic Duo” from the match. In a disturbing turn of events, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross both agree on the same mentality: to eliminate Ember Moon. Cross connects with a Swinging fisherman neckbreaker that downs Moon and then Riot follows it with an amazing frog splash, incapacitating the former challenger to Asuka’s title. Riot and Cross team together and they both throw Ember Moon over the top rope and to the floor, leaving us with only two potential contenders. However, <b>Asuka </b>runs out to the ring and drops both women with roundhouse kicks to the head! The two ennemies lay motionless on the floor as Asuka continues the assault with brutal kicks to the head. “The Empress of Tomorrow” stands tall while yelling that nobody is ready for her as the contest officially ends as a no contest.</font></p><p> </p><p>

<font color="#202020">NXT General Manager <b>William Regal</b> is not pleased with the actions of the NXT Women’s Champion as he arrives on stage with a microphone in hand. Regal notes that the match is officially a no contest, with no clear winner, but he is determined to crown a Number One Contender. “In fact,” Regal states, “due to the champion’s actions, I am crowning two Number One Contenders. At NXT Takeover: Chicago, Asuka will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot!” The bombshell is dropped as Asuka stands tall over her two Takeover opponents.</p><p>

Both men looked focused as they prepare for an absolute war that is their main event match tonight, where a number one contender for Bobby Roode’s NXT Championship will be crowned. <i>“Both these men will put one another through the ringer, tonight, in order to be one step closer to the NXT Championship.”</i> announced McGuinness, as both men enter their respective locker room assignments for the night.

Cut to opening package for NXT, showcasing the future Superstars of the WWE - including the NXT champions, Bobby Roode, The Authors of Pain, and Asuka. We cut to the Full Sail Arena where NXT announces <b>Tom Phillips</b>, <b>Percy Watson</b>, and <b>Nigel McGuinness</b> welcome us to the show as the NXT Universe chant ‘NXT!’ with pride. <i>“Not only do we have the Number One Contender’s match, fellas, we’re going to see Aleister Black in action. Plus, our fellow broadcast partner Christy St. Cloud sat down with NXT Women’s Champion Asuka ahead of NXT TakeOver: Chicago, and you don’t wanna miss that.”</i> claimed Percy Watson as the theme music of Aleister Black brought the NXT Universe to silence ahead of our first match of the night.

<b><font color="#de9502">ALEISTER BLACK def. PALMER CRUISE -</font></b> <font color="#202020">Palmer Cruise is a standout wrestler of the Michigan indy scene who recently went by Tripp Bradshaw on 205 Live back in January. Cruise seemed a little hesitant to start, almost as if he was entranced by the aura of Aleister Black. Black sat down crossed-legged on the ring mat to start the match and kipped-up to get in the face of Cruise. Cruise went for a strike but Black quickly ducked and immediately connected with the Black Mass spin kick to get the quick pinfall victory.

Aleister Black was quick to return to his seated position as Palmer Cruise remained knocked out in the ring, lying beside “The Root of Evil”. Black remained in his zoned-in state of mind, that is until the bubbly theme music of “Beautiful” <b>Wesley Blake</b> interrupted the silence as the former NXT Tag Team Champion walked out on stage with pigtails and a cocky grin. Blake, smartly might we add, remained at the top of the entrance ramp and did not dare enter the ring. <i>“Listen here, you ugly Blackie. You’ve got my attention and I want to shut you down. Your tattoos are trash and your beard is weird, you ain’t beautiful. So howbout in two weeks, we go mano y mano in that ring and I’ll show the world what beauty really is.”</i> exclaimed Blake with confidence as Black shook his head from the seated position, seemingly agreeing to the match.

In his backstage office, NXT General Manager <b>William Regal</b> is in front of his desk holding a contract in his hands. Regal welcomes the NXT Universe to this special announcement regarding NXT TakeOver: Chicago, which is just one week from Saturday live on the WWE Network! <i>“There has been a lot of different worthy tag teams who have come to me looking for a shot at The Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team championships.”</i> starts Regal, <i>“However, it is my duty as General Manager to be the one who decides who gets the right to challenge for NXT gold. With that in mind, there is a certain team who have not yet received their fair rematch for the Tag Team Championships, that being DIY. So at NXT TakeOver: Chicago, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will have the opportunity to climb the ladder of success against Akam and Rezar in a ladder match!”</i> announced Regal with a smile knowing that this is indeed huge news for the NXT tag team division!

We cut to a different part of the backstage area where Hideo Itami is practicing his striking alongside NXT Striking Coach Seth Petruzelli. Hideo Itami will face Roderick Strong later in the night and the winner will advance to NXT TakeOver: Chicago to face Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship.</font>

<font color="#202020">We return to the Full Sail Arena as the NXT Universe are still buzzing about. The atmosphere in the arena remains loud as the newly formed tag team of <b>Angelo Dawkins </b>and <b>Montez Ford</b> come out on stage with a pair of microphones and cocky smiles painted on their face. <i>“We are the new hottest team in NXT and we have come to show all of you people what it means to be greatness personified. Ya’ see, Montez and I have been held down for too long and we ‘bout to take what’s ours.”</i> announced Dawkins as Montez shook his head in agreeance. <i>“We’re ‘bout to be the biggest deals in NXT since it’s creation. Nobody will be able to stop us. You can bet on that.”</i> added Ford as the NXT Universe boo the two cocky gentlemen. <i>“We are The Street Prophets and we are greatness.”</i> claimed both men as they enter the ring as they soak in all the jeers. Their opponents, <b>HoHo Lun</b> and the monstrous <b>Lars Sullivan</b>, formerly known as Dylan Miley, made their way to the ring.</font>

<b><font color="#de9502">

ANGELO DAWKINS & MONTEZ FORD def. HOHO LUN & LARS SULLIVAN -</font></b><font color="#202020"> This was a complete mismatch from the opening bell, as the language barrier forced HoHo to start the match against Montez Ford. Ford wrestled circles around Lun, dropping him with various suplex variations, before tagging in Angelo Dawkins. The Street Prophets beat HoHo down with double team maneuvers, and the NXT Universe was clamoring for a hot tag towards the behemoth Lars Sullivan… however, the hot tag never came as Dawkins & Ford finished HoHo with a powerbomb by Dawkins and a double knee backbreaker from Ford combination, hyped by the commentary team as The Street Sweeper, for the victory.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford returned up the ramp to celebrate their quick victory, but joy and happiness was not an expression found on Lars Sullivan’s face, Sullivan entered the ring and was visibly ticked off due to the events of the tag match as HoHo pleaded for him to calm down while in a seated position in the corner of the ring. Lars was having none of it as he picked HoHo up by his throat and then chokeslamming him nearly through the mat. Sullivan wasn’t done there as he hoisted HoHo back up and nearly broke him in half with a spinebuster that would make Arn Anderson proud. With HoHo Lun absolutely destroyed, Lars Sullivan picked himself up and returned up the ramp, visibly proud of his work following the tag team match.

Earlier this week, NXT correspondent <b>Christy St. Cloud</b> sat down with <b>Asuka </b>to discuss the NXT Women’s Championship match that will take place at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. <i>“First off, Asuka, I want to thank you for joining me for this interview. As we all know, in just one week from Saturday, you will be defending your NXT Women’s Championship against Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross in a triple threat match because of your interference in last week’s number one contender’s battle royal.”</i> stated Christy before being cut off by the guest. <i>“Yes. I interfered last week because no one is ready for Asuka. You can line them all up and I will chop them all down.”</i> answered Asuka with a grin, while brandishing the NXT Women’s Championship. <i>“So you’re not afraid of the competition at TakeOver?”</i> asks Christy, who is a bit intimidated by the champion.

<i>“Afraid? Why would Asuka be afraid? I have defeated Bayley, Nia Jax, Mickie James, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Ember Moon, and NIKKI CROSS. You can already add Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot to that list. There is no chance of Asuka losing at TakeOver.”</i> confidently added Asuka with a smile. <i>“... but you already have Nikki Cross on your list…”</i> replied St. Cloud with hesitation. <i>“Well, add her twice.”</i> responded Asuka with another smile, showing that she is not taking this interview seriously.

<i>“I have another question here for you Asuka… if you win…”</i> started Christy before being cut off once again. <i>“No if. When. When Asuka wins.”</i> interjected the champion. <i>“Ok… when you win at NXT TakeOver: Chicago, what is next for Asuka?”</i> finished St. Cloud. <i>“What is next for Asuka? Hmmm… hard question by terrible interviewer. What’s next for Asuka is that Asuka will beat any person who comes after her. Asuka will continue undefeated streak and conquer the world. Asuka is not NXT. NXT is the Asuka show and Asuka rules all.”</i> answered the champion before taking off the microphone from her dress and throwing it to the ground. Asuka leaves the set, signaling the end of the interview as Christy St. Cloud thanks us for watching before the video fades away.

Backstage in the Full Sail Arena, Roderick Strong is listening to music while stretching in preparation for his big main event match later tonight. Roderick Strong will face Hideo Itami later in the night and the winner will advance to NXT TakeOver: Chicago to face Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship.

Returning to the arena, the commentary trio of Percy Watson, Tom Phillips, and Nigel McGuinness discuss the recent WWE United Kingdom Live events in Norwich, England that will soon be broadcasted on the WWE Network. However, there was major news at these events as “The Bruiserweight” <b>Pete Dunne</b> defeated Trent Seven to earn a championship match against WWE United Kingdom Champion <b>Tyler Bate</b>. As announced by Triple H on Twitter earlier this week, the match will take place at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

I am the one who runs things around here.”</i> states Regal as Bobby goes to leave the office, frustrated with the general manager’s decision. <i>“And Bobby… I know exactly what you’re thinking. Asuka did it last week and thought she could get away with no challengers, well you better listen up sunshine. If you interfere, or if anybody else interferes in tonight’s main event, that person will be let go of their NXT contract, I will assure you that.”</i> stated Regal as Roode left the office, showing discontent that his plans have been thwarted.</font>

<b><font color="#de9502">HIDEO ITAMI def. RODERICK STRONG to become the NUMBER ONE CONTENDER for the NXT CHAMPIONSHIP -</font></b> <font color="#202020">A big fight feel tonight in the Full Sail Arena as Hideo Itami and Roderick Strong stood across from each other across the ring as tensions rose in the arena. The NXT Universe was split 50/50 between the two NXT Superstars even before they locked up. The two NXT stars locked up and Hideo grabbed a waistlock and followed up with a headscissors. Strong escaped the headscissors with a kip-up as he tells Itami to bring it on. As they lock up again, Strong backed Hideo into the ropes and feigned a clean break and attempted a chop, but Hideo ducked and got out of the way. Itami then backed Roderick into the ropes, he then feigned a kick, but Strong ducked and got out of the way. It is a stalemate so far.

Roderick and Itami exchanged chops and kicks, respectively, and Strong eventually won the hard-hitting exchange. Strong then followed up with a leaping leg lariat, which garnered only a one count. Itami quickly got up and knocked Strong to a seated position, and nearly took his opponent’s head off with a very stiff kick. Itami then backed Strong into the corner and kicked him several times across the abdomen and chest area, turning Strong beet red. Itami then attempted a running elbow, but Strong caught him and threw him down to the mat. Both NXT stars endured a chop battle, with Roderick coming out on top. Strong then connected with a backbreaker and an overhead suplex throw, which garnered a nearfall as the NXT Universe is totally behind this great contest.

String chopped Itami in the corner, and then tried to hit an Irish whip, which Hideo reversed and kicked Strong right in the face. Itami followed up with several lariatos that led to a nearfall. Itami then locked in an omoplata crossface, but Strong was able to power out and hit a uranage backbreaker for another nearfall. Strong tried to follow up with a gutbuster, however Hideo got out, hit several kicks, followed by a springboard dropkick for a nearfall. Itami brought Roderick back to his feet and smothered him with a running Yakuza kick in the corner leading to a sitout powerbomb for another nearfall. With Strong lingering back to his feet, Itami followed through with a Busaiku Knee for yet another nearfall.

Hideo Itami, out of frustration, attempted to connect with a Go 2 Sleep, but Strong somehow managed to escape and connect with a German suplex for a nearfall. Roderick was quick to follow up as he locked in the Stronghold submission maneuver as Hideo yelled out in pain. Itami was eventually able to scratch and claw his way to the bottom rope to force the break. Itami slid out of the ring, with Roderick following him, and kicked Strong once again in the chest. Itami tried to hit another running knee strike, but Strong hoisted him up into a powerbomb position, ran forward a bit, and launched Itami into the guardrail! Strong threw Itami back into the ring and hit a gutbuster, but Itami somehow kicked out! Strong pulled Hideo back up to his feet and looked to end things with the End of Heartache, but Itami slipped out at the last second and connected with a Go 2 Sleep! Strong collapsed backwards as Hideo quickly went for the pin, as the referee counted three.

Both men returned to their feet and no one inside of Full Sail Arena was sitting down as the two NXT Superstars received the standing ovation they deserved. Hideo and Roderick embrace following the match, with Strong raising Itami’s hand as a sign of respect. Hideo Itami will challenge Bobby Roode at NXT TakeOver: Chicago for the NXT Championship. Itami left the ring to allow Strong to celebrate the great match alongside the NXT Universe as a loud “That Was Awesome!” chant broke out among the NXT Universe. Itami returned to the back as Strong raised his arm in the air up high, thanking the crowd. However, <b>SAnitY</b> members <b>Eric Young</b>, <b>Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain</b>, and <b>Nikki Cross</b> ran out from the crowd and pummeled Strong in the middle of the ring. Young planted Strong with a wheelbarrow lifted and dropped into an elevated neckbreaker, leaving “Mr. NXT” down and out as SAnitY stand tall as this week’s edition of NXT fades to black.

<font color="#202020">After the signature WWE intro, the opening video package of NXT is shown highlighting the many superstars of NXT, among those shown being the NXT champions: The Authors of Pain, Asuka, and “The Glorious” Bobby Roode. We cut to the Full Sail Arena where NXT announces Tom Phillips, Percy Watson, and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show as the NXT Universe chant ‘NXT!’ with pride. Watson noted that we are just three days away from NXT TakeOver: Chicago! McGuinness added that we still do have a stacked card here tonight with a huge main event between Kassius Ohno and Andrade “Cien” Almas! The announcers are cut off by the theme music of Drew McIntyre, signaling our first match of the evening.</p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr> </p><p>

<b><font color="#de9502">DREW MCINTYRE def. SEAN MALUTA -</font></b> <font color="#202020">Sean Maluta, who competed in the critically-acclaimed Cruiserweight Classic last year, looked to impress in his return to the Full Sail Arena. However, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre firmly kept control of most of the match. McIntyre was physical throughout, keeping the Cruiserweight grounded for most of the match. Maluta did fight through at one point and connected with a springboard codebreaker-like maneuver, but McIntyre powered out of the pinfall attempt. Drew came off the ropes with an axe handle, and then Maluta attempted to strike the Scot only to get a painful headbutt for his efforts. McIntyre lunged forward and connected with the Claymore Kick to secure the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Drew McIntyre rises to his feet as referee Eddie Orengo raises his hand in victory. However, the victory is cut short as SAnitY members Eric Young, Killian Dain, and Alexander Wolfe, ran into the ring and beat down on the “Chosen One”. In a mirror image of what happened last week following Roderick Strong’s match against Hideo Itami, SAnitY brutally assaults McIntyre as referees come out and attempt to break up the beatdown. The officials were unsuccessful as Killian Dain left McIntyre motionless on the ring mat following a devastating Ulcer Plantation. Young, Wolfe, and Dain all left the ringside area through the Full Sail faithful, making sure they left their mark on the NXT Universe and the NXT locker room.</p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr><font color="#202020"></p><p>

A video recap is shown of last week’s main event where Hideo Itami defeated Roderick Strong to become the Number One Contender for Bobby Roode’s NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.</p><p> </p><p>

A video recap is shown of the United Kingdom Championship Tournament event that took place back in January in Blackpool, England. After outlasting the competition, the finals of the tournament came down to Tyler Bate and “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne. The two battled in a hard-hitting contest, where Bate eventually got the victory to become the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion. However, this Saturday, at NXT TakeOver: Chicago, Pete Dunne gets his wishes for a rematch as he challenges Bate for the WWE United Kingdom Championship. This is sure to be a barn-burner!</p><p> </p><p>

<b><font color="#de9502">SONYA DEVILLE def. LACEY EVANS -</font></b> <font color="#202020">These two NXT Women’s division newcomers both looked to shine here tonight in front of the NXT Full Sail faithful. Lacey Evans, a former Marine, showed herself as a formidable opponent against the Mixed Martial Arts fighter Sonya Deville. Evans and Deville were fighting on equal grounds for most of the match, with Evans almost getting the victory with a wicked knee to the face, but in the end Sonya emerged the victory by forcing Lacey to tap out quickly to the devastating Guillotine Choke.</p><p> </p><p>

Sonya Deville rises to her feet in victory as referee Drake Wuertz raises her hand in the air. Lacey Evans rolls out of the ring clutching her throat. However, Sonya’s celebration is cut short at NXT Women’s Champion Asuka runs down to the ring and nearly kicks her head right off her shoulders! Deville falls flat on the ground as Asuka shows her wicked smile while holding the NXT Women’s Championship high up in the air. Asuka has clearly sent a message tonight — that being that nobody is safe in the NXT Women’s division while she remains champion. But the question remains, will Asuka walk out of NXT TakeOver: Chicago still the champ? Or will Nikki Cross or Ruby Riot be the one to dethrone “The Empress of Tomorrow”?</p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr> <font color="#202020"></p><p>

<img style="max-width:100%;" src="<a href="http://i.imgur.com/HtQPrPw.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/HtQPrPw.jpg"></a></p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr> <font color="#202020"></p><p>

The NXT Champion Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring in an expensive suit with the championship slung over his shoulder and a huge smile on his face as the Full Sail faithful sing along with his “Glorious” theme. Once Roode enters the ring, he begs the NXT Universe to be silent so that he, “greatness” as he calls himself, can speak. This draws some boos from the fans, much to Roode’s pleasure. Roode states that he watched last week’s main event closely and that he can acknowledge that the better man won. “... but here’s the problem with you neckbeards who come out and support the NXT brand, you can’t help but always talk about Hideo Itami and his GTS when you should be talking about YOUR world champion… me!” exclaimed Roode to boos from the audience, except for the row of businessmen in the crowd who agree with his statement.</p><p> </p><p>

“While we’re on the topic of Hideo Itami, that madman has taken out superstars left and right with his GTS… myself included… but he attacked me when it was completely unprovoked and I was unprepared for it and I can promise you that it will never happen again… and Hideo, I won’t be in a custom-tailored suit while in the ring in Chicago, I will be in my boots and gear… and I am going to make an example out of you. I am going to show the world that you are nothing but a flash in the pan of my Glorious Era of being the man on top of the NXT mountain.” claimed Roode while extending his arms out and cocking an arrogant smile on his face.</p><p> </p><p>

However, the theme music of Hideo Itami echoes around Full Sail Live as the “Japanese Sensation” walks out on stage and stares down the NXT Champion. Multiple security guards rush out behind him and block his way to the ring as Bobby Roode antagonizes his challenger from inside the ring. Itami looks around the room, shrugs his shoulders, and runs right through the security guards. Itami enters the ring and ducks a punch from Roode and plants the champion with the Go To Sleep to a loud ovation from the NXT crowd! Roode’s body hit the mat as if it were dead weight as Itami raised his arms in the air with a cocky grin painted on his mug. The security guards dragged Hideo away, as Roode laid motionless on the ring mat right next to the NXT Championship. Is this a sign of things to come when it comes to Hideo Itami vs. Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship this Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Chicago?</p><p> </p><p>

<b><font color="#de9502">KASSIUS OHNO def. ANDRADE “CIEN” ALMAS -</font></b> <font color="#202020">Andrade “Cien” Almas’ reputation outside the ring has been shaky as of late, with his recent partying lifestyle seemingly being of more importance to him than his in-ring career. Ohno was ready to fight from the beginning of the match, but Andrade displayed a very chill and tranquilo attitude, especially when he laid in between the ropes instead of diving right into action. After taunting “NXT’s Resident Knockout Artist”, Andrade felt Kassius’ rage by being kicked right through the ropes to the ringside area. Almas, with a fire lit under his behind, immediately reentered the ring and engaged in a nice lucha exchange with his opponent, with Ohno winning the exchange.</p><p> </p><p>

Ohno and Almas exchanged boots to the face, with each one being harder and stronger than the last, with Andrade winning this exchange and kicking Ohno out of the ring. Andrade bounced off the opposite set of ropes and looked like he was about to launch himself out of the ring, but instead bounces back to the middle of the ring and lounges in the middle of the ring being mucho tranquilo. Ohno re-entered the ring after a commercial break, and Almas had him sitting in the corner. Andrade looked to connect with the double-knee smash in the corner, but instead stopped in his tracks and slapped the taste out of Kassius’ mouth. Ohno immediately popped up to his feet and punched Andrade so hard that it knocked “Cien” on his behind in the middle of the ring. Ohno hit a quick kick to the face, but only got a two-count on the pin attempt.</p><p> </p><p>

Ohno ascended the turnbuckles, and to the awe of the NXT Universe, launched himself backwards with a moonsault attempt, but Almas rolled out of the way at just the right moment, letting Kassius crash and burn on the ring mat. Almas went for the cover, but Ohno kicked out. “El Idolo” follows up with an innovate backbreaker combo, but that only garners a near fall as well. Andrade continues the onslaught as he arrogantly kicked Ohno in the back of the head, inviting the fighting spirit to rise in Ohno’s soul. Kassius returned to his feet, as as Andrade rebounded off the ropes, connected with a big boot that dropped “Cien” to the mat, once again for a near fall. Ohno and Andrade traded shots while standing up, with Kassius knocking Almas out of the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

Andrade “Cien” Almas decides to not return to the ring and instead has his eyes fixated on a good-looking latina girl sitting at ringside. Almas takes his time to flirt with this lady, but Ohno hits a baseball slide beneath the bottom rope and sends Andrade flying into this woman! The fiery latina is visibly irate and she slaps Ohno right in the mouth! The slap simply makes Ohno laugh as he grabs Andrade by the manbun and throws “El Idolo” back into the ring. Andrade pops up and tries to connect with a superkick, but Ohno ducks and connects with a Rolling Elbow out of nowhere that drops Andrade to the mat that secures the winning pinfall.</p><p> </p><p>

Andrade “Cien” Almas took his lumps as he rolled out of the ring and returned to the locker room as Kassius Ohno celebrated the win inside the ring. The celebration was cut short as Eric Young, Killian Dain, and Alexander Wolfe jumped the barricade and jumped Ohno inside the ring! The three members of SAnitY put the boots to “NXT’s Resident Knockout Artist”, who remained motionless on the ring mat. Young, Dain, and Wolfe all looked to end Ohno’s run in NXT here tonight, that is until a visibly pissed off Roderick Strong and Drew McIntyre ran down to the ring from the locker room as SAnitY all left the ring as one. Strong and McIntyre aided the fallen Ohno, as NXT General Manager William Regal’s entrance music blared throughout Full Sail. Regal had one message for SAnitY: and that is to get ready to fight this Saturday as Young, Wolfe, and Dain will take on Strong, McIntyre, and Ohno in a six-man tag team match! Strong, Ohno, and McIntyre seemed pleased in the ring, taunting SAnitY, as the final NXT before NXT TakeOver: Chicago fades to black.</font></p><p>

<font color="#2c2c2c">After the signature WWE intro, a video package to the NXT Universe back to September 11, 2014 at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way where Hideo Itami made his very first appearance in NXT as he sent The Ascension packing after they tried to sneak attack him. The clip faded to a shot of the Ascension now on the Smackdown Live roster. The clip returns to the past when Hideo Itami called upon Finn Bálor to be his partner for NXT TakeOver: R Evolution, which then faded to a shot of Bálor hoisting the WWE Universal Championship up in the air at SummerSlam. Cutting back to Hideo’s history, his match against Tyler Breeze from NXT TakeOver: Rival was highlighted, once again with the clip ending with a shot of Tyler Breeze achieving success on the main roster. The video package then had some quick shots of Itami with NXT alumni Neville, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens, all of whom have made it to the main roster and are duking it out on either Raw or Smackdown Live. The clip then focused on Itami’s two serious neck and shoulder injuries that forced him out of action for close to 19 months. <i>“Now that I’m back… I am going to become NXT champion and I’m gonna show the world who Hideo Itami really is. It is now my time to take! over!.”</i> said a voice over of Itami as shots of a rejuvenated Itami is shown as the video package fades to an end.</p><p> </p><p>

<i>“And now… NXT and the WWE Network present… NXT TakeOver: Chicago!”</i> Following the introductory graphic, the cameras pan inside the sold-out Allstate Arena as the NXT Universe are already on their feet ready for a truly historic night. The NXT commentary trio of <b>Tom Phillips</b>, <b>Nigel McGuinness</b>, and <b>Percy Watson</b> welcome everyone to the show and the excitement is resounding throughout the air in Chicago. <i>“Tonight, Hideo Itami finally gets the opportunity he has been looking for since he first signed with NXT as he challenges ‘The Glorious’ Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship.”</i> states Watson as the other two run down the rest of the card. <i>“Tyler Bate faces tough competition in Pete Dunne if he wants to retain the WWE United Kingdom Championship.”</i> adds Nigel. <i>“The NXT Tag Team Championships will be hanging high above the ring in tonight’s ladder match pitting Paul Ellering’s Authors of Pain against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, DIY.”</i> notes Tom. <i>“And both Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross look to dethrone ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ Asuka and take her NXT Women’s Championship.”</i> denotes Percy. <i>“But now, let’s take it to the ring for our first contest of the evening.”</i> finishes Phillips who sends it over to Mike Rome, who’s on announcing duties tonight.</p><p> </p><p>

Both teams are ready to compete here tonight as the fired up Killian Dain starts the match across the ring from the equally-as-large Kassius Ohno. Before the bell even rings, a loud “Let’s go Killian / Let’s go Ohno” chant breaks out in the NXT Universe. Dain and Ohno trade hard-hitting shots to the noggin’ but Ohno gets the better of one strike that forces Dain to stumble backwards. Ohno looks to end things early with a Rolling Elbow, but Dain moves out of the way and Alexander Wolfe tags himself into the match. Wolfe and Ohno trade shots, with Wolfe getting the upper-hand as he pushes Kassius into the corner. Two slaps to the chest later, Wolfe tried to lock in a sleeper hold, only for Ohno to slip out and punch him square in the jaw, forcing Wolfe to fall backwards to the mat. Ohno made the tag to a pumped up Strong, who entered the ring and nailed Wolfe with an Olympic Slam for a quick one count. Strong kept the momentum going as he went and smashed Young right in the face, however allowing Alexander to recover and kick him right in the gut, doubling Strong over. Wolfe tags in Killian Dain and the two connect with a nice DDT from Wolfe and a senton from Dain combo. Strong manages to kick out at two on the pinfall attempt, as Dain continues to dish out some damage with some clubbing forearm blows.</p><p> </p><p>

Dain picks Roderick up and aims to hit a powerbomb, but Strong fights out of it and escapes. Strong, somehow, manages to hoist Dain up and connect with an Argentine Backbreaker! Strong and Dain both claw their way to their respective corners as both Eric Young and Drew McIntyre get tags from their partners. Young and McIntyre both jump into the ring and charge at one another, with Drew getting the upperhand by knocking Young down with a Claymore! McIntyre immediately went for the cover, but Alexander Wolfe snuck into the ring and broke up the pinfall. Kassius Ohno joins the fray as he clotheslines Wolfe over the top rope and then takes to the air with a beautiful Tope con Hilo! Ohno pops back up to his feet to loud cheers from the Chicago crowd, but Killian Dain runs out and decks him with a devastating lariat! Ohno goes down as Dain slides back into the ring and he takes out McIntyre with another lariat. Young takes advantage of the situation as he goes for the pinfall, but Drew kicks out at two. Both legal men return to a vertical base and they trade shots back and forth. Young plants McIntyre with a DDT, and then ascends the turnbuckles. Young hops off but is met with Roderick Strong’s two feet in mid-air, forcing Young to crumble down to the mat in a heap! Strong pulls McIntyre over the downed body of Young for the cover, but Eric kicks out at two.</p><p> </p><p>

McIntyre rolls over to his corner and tags in Roderick Strong, who is more than ready to dish out some punishments towards Eric Young. Strong went for one chop too many in the corner, and Young ducked and connected with the wheelbarrow neckbreaker for a close two count. Young stayed in control over Strong, often kicking him when he is down and taunting him that his newborn son would “turn out to be a loser just like his dad.” Young spent too much time taunting, as Strong made it back to his feet and hit Young with a sick enziguri that dropped him to one knee. Strong rebounded off the ropes and kneed Young right in the face. Wolfe and Dain reentered the ring, but Ohno and McIntyre were right there to deal with them, all four men falling to the outside. With only Young and Strong left in the ring, they trade chops to the chest before Roderick pulls through and connects with a Bicycle Knee to the face. Outside the ring, the four men continue to brawl with Ohno and McIntyre getting the advantage over Dain and Wolfe, respectively. Back inside the ring, Strong signals for the end as he lifts Young up to a vertical position and plants him with a beautiful End of Heartache as the crowd goes nuts, for it’s the NXT debut of said brutal move. Dain and Wolfe have now gotten the upperhand outside the ring, and as Strong is about to drop down for the cover, Dain slides in a nearly snaps him in half with a Bill Goldberg-esque Gore! Killian Dain drags Eric Young’s limp body onto the broken body of Roderick Strong as the referee counts to three, signaling the end of the match.</p><p>

Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe stand tall in the middle of the ring, as they drag Eric Young back to his feet. Young, a man in visible pain after the End of Heartache, yells out in victory as Strong remains motionless on the ring mat. McIntyre and Ohno are both in a heap outside the ring, with McIntyre being the only one stirring. <i>“Is there anybody in NXT who can stop Sanity?”</i> questioned Tom Phillips as the anarchists left the ring, leaving Roderick Strong being the only man left in the ring, motionless and alone.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage in the Allstate Arena, the competitors for the NXT Women’s Championship Triple Threat match are preparing in their own separate ways. <b>Ruby Riot</b> is jamming out to tunes on her headphones as she punches the air in preparation. <b>Nikki Cross</b> is pacing back and forth in a dark grungy corner in the basement of the arena. Meanwhile, <b>Asuka </b>is practicing her strikes with the NXT Strength and Conditioning coach, laying in each strike with meaning. Which of these three women will walk out NXT Women’s Champion later tonight?</p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr> <font color="#2c2c2c"></p><p>

The theme music of WWE Hall of Famer “Good Ol” <b>Jim Ross</b> suddenly blares throughout the arena as the Allstate Arena erupts with joy. Ross makes his way out on stage and waves to the fans before heading over to the commentary booth. Tom Phillips and Percy Watson shake Ross’ hand before leaving the booth, as Jim Ross and Nigel McGuinness will be announcing this next contest.</p><p> </p><p>

<img src="<a href="http://i.imgur.com/Sxi8BGr.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/Sxi8BGr.jpg"</a> style="max-width:100%;"></p><p> </p><p>

Greetings, graps fans! Both of the competitors came out with new entrance music and new entrance graphics, signaling their proper introduction on these NXT cards. Jim Ross hyped up both competitors as defining what the United Kingdom Championship scene is all about. The Chicago crowd is very much into Dunne. From the ring of the bell, Dunne immediately takes Bate to the mat and keeps him there with a head scissors, Bate, ever the grappling know-it-all, easily gets out and locks up with Dunne in the traditional collar-and-elbow. Dunne gets the upperhand and locks in a wristlock, in which Tyler Houdini's out of it with a kick to Pete’s jaw to get free. Dunne, with resilience, smashes Bate in the face with a forearm that knocks the United Kingdom Champion out of the ring. Dunne follows and targets the fingers of the champion, literally trying to rip them off of his hand. Bate fights out of it and connects with a flying European uppercut off the steps. Dunne takes no time off as he wrecks Bate with a released suplex onto the apron. Dunne pushes Bate back into the ring and follows, ignoring what should be an attempt at a pinfall, and instead going back to yanking the fingers of the champion. Referee Drake Wuertz starts the five-count, with Dunne releasing the fingers at the count of four. Dunne latches onto the hand once more, and kicks Bate right in the face. The kick angers the champion who pops right up and floors “The Bruiserweight” with a delayed exploder suplex.</p><p> </p><p>

Tyler Bate throws the challenger into the corner and stuns him with running uppercuts. On the third attempt, Dunne is quick to cut off the champion with a kick right to the face. However, fighting spirit flows through the United Kingdom champ who immediately drops Dunne with a German suplex for a nearfall. Pete remains on the mat, seemingly hurt, however it is simply playing possum as he locks in Bate into a triangle after a failed running shooting star press from the champion. Bate screams in agony, but manages to push the challenger’s shoulders to the mat for a two count. While kicking out, Dunne keeps the triangle locked in. Bate, in an impressive show of strength, stands up and connects with a standing powerbomb that finally breaks Dunne off of him. Tyler regains control as he hoists Pete up onto his shoulders and spins around wildly - as if he were a fidget spinner - like an airplane. After nearly twenty-five rotations, Bate drops Dunne to the mat with a Samoan drop and goes for the cover. The challenger kicks out at two.</p><p> </p><p>

Both men struggle to get to their feet, both of them still dizzy from the airplane spin. Bate recovers the most and takes the match into his control as he lifts Dunne up for a suplex. “The Bruiserweight” lands on his feet to Tyler’s dismay. Dunne counters a turnaround crossbody, and then nearly puts Bate through the mat with a Blue Thunder Bomb for an insanely close nearfall as the NXT Universe goes nuts. Bate and Dunne trade strikes from the mat, they get to their feet and rely on no technique boxing. Bop and bang, these two are trading shots like nobody’s business. Bate bops Dunne right in the mouth on one shot and the challenger goes right down to the mat! Tyler calls for the end as he looks to set up the Tyler Drive 97, but Pete reverses and connects with an enziguri. Dunne gets a nearfall. Both men, once again, struggle to return to a vertical base but once they do, they go back to trading bombs and big shots left and right. Dunne hits a knee out of nowhere and follows up with the X-Plex only for Bate to kick out at the last possible second. The fans here in the Allstate Arena continue to go absolutely bananas as a loud “Fight Forever” chant breaks out amidst the chaos.</p><p> </p><p>

As they return to their feet, Bate hooks Dunne for another attempt at the Tyler Driver 97 but Pete escapes by targeting Bate’s fingers once more. Dunne, now with the advantage, looks to connect with the Bitter End, but Bate counters and drops the challenger with a wicked DDT! Dunne, ever the opportunist, wisely rolls out of the ring but Bate scales the turnbuckles and drops Dunne with a moonsault from the top rope to the outside! Bate rolls Dunne back into the ring and returns up to the high-risk district of the top turnbuckle. Bate launches himself and attempts a beautiful corkscrew 450 splash and connects! He goes for the cover, but somehow the challenger kicks out. Dunne rolls out of the ring once again, in order to distance himself from a potential loss. The United Kingdom champion bounces off the ropes and goes through the middle and top rope with a suicide dive but eats an elbow from the challenger. Dunne rolls Bate back into the ring and brings him up and promptly brings him down with the Bitter End! Dunne goes for the cover and we have a new champion!</p><p>

<font color="#2c2c2c"><b><div style="text-align:center;"><b style="font-size:10pt;">Pete Dunne is the new WWE United Kingdom Champion! </b></div></b></p><p>

Replays air of this fantastic match as the crowd remains on their feet to give both of these UK stars a well-deserved standing ovation. Pete Dunne is given the WWE United Kingdom championship as he confidently lets it hang from his mouth as Jim Ross compliments the two kids on one hell of a performance here in Chicago. Ross signs off and thanks McGuinness for being there with him for this great match. Ross leaves the commentary booth as the cameras pan out on Pete Dunne, the new WWE United Kingdom Champion, celebrating his big win in the middle of the ring surrounding by thousands of screaming fans.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage in the Allstate Arena, <b>Hideo Itami</b> and NXT Champion <b>Bobby Roode</b> are warming up ahead of their big championship match later tonight. Will Itami finally be able to win the big one in NXT? Or will Bobby Roode continue his reign as glorious champion? The cameras cut to the ringside area where the NXT Universe are seen cheering and chanting. The cameras than catch up with <b>Kyle O’Reilly</b> who is sitting ringside. The commentary trio are quick to reveal who he is and bring up his previous accolades as Ring of Honor World champion and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champion. But what is Kyle O’Reilly doing at NXT TakeOver?</p><p> </p><p>

The women of NXT take center stage as Asuka faces what may be her toughest challenge yet for the NXT Women’s championship: both Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross. As soon as the bell rings, the bitter enemies, Riot and Cross, trade lefts and rights until they realize that they can have the numbers advantage over the champion. However, as soon as they stop fighting, Asuka knocks Riot out of the ring with a hip attack, and then drops Nikki with another hip attack. Asuka throws Cross out of the ring, and Riot slides right in. Ruby grabs Asuka’s legs and brings the champion to the mat and gets a one count on a surprise pin attempt. Riot throws Asuka out of the ring and looks to fly, but Cross cuts off her bitter enemy with a European uppercut. Nikki grabs Ruby and throws her right into the ring steps, the tattooed terror jumps onto them instead and then connects with a crossbody to Asuka. Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot return to the ring, with Nikki gaining the advantage with her patented wild offense. Cross connects with a neckbreaker to Riot, only for Asuka to come in and break up the pinfall attempt. Asuka drops Cross with a codebreaker and then connects with stiff kicks to Riot. Asuka looks to end the match as she drops Riot with a powerbomb and follows it up with an ankle lock.</p><p> </p><p>

Cross tries to break it up, but it takes her a few tries. Riot comes to and rolls up Asuka, but the champion kicks out at two and then throws Riot right into the other challenger. Cross is not happy as she sends Asuka through the ropes, and then starts teeing off with Ruby once more. Asuka gets back into the mix and slams Riot’s face right into the middle turnbuckle. Asuka follows up with a nasty looking knee that knocks Cross out to outside, in which Asuka follows. Riot connects with a suicide dive to the champion that drops Asuka outside the ring. Riot rolls Cross into the ring and then heads to the top rope. Riot connects with a senton from the top, but Asuka breaks up the cover and connects with a suplex into a bridge on Riot for another nearfall. Asuka wants another suplex on Cross, but she blocks. Nikki slams Asuka into the mat for two. Returning to her feet, Asuka lands a German suplex on Cross but then takes a kick in the face from Riot! Riot goes back up top and attempts another senton, but Asuka dodges and locks in the Asuka lock on Riot. Nikki Cross is there as she uses a double foot stomp to break up the submission hold.</p><p> </p><p>

Cross throws Riot out of the ring and follows her. Asuka bounces off the opposite set of ropes and looks to hit a baseball slide, but Cross takes a page out of Dave Finlay’s playbook and uses the apron skirt to trap Asuka. After a few punches to the trapped champion, Cross drags Asuka back into the ring near the turnbuckle and then drops her with a devastating hanging neckbreaker. Cross goes for the cover, but Riot makes the save to keep the match in progress. Cross and Riot both trade shots once more and they bounce off of opposite ropes and take each other out with double crossbodies. All three women remain motionless on the ring mat as the NXT Universe goes wild. Asuka rises to her feet first and then challenges both Ruby and Nikki to get to their feet. The challengers do and they immediately throw Asuka over the top rope and to the ringside area. Cross and Riot trade quick covers, both ladies looking to get a quick pinfall. However, Asuka returns to the ring and hits Riot with a hip attack. Cross hooks Asuka and tries to connect with a Samoan driver, but Asuka escapes and locks in the Asuka Lock that forces Cross to tap out!</p><p> </p><p>

</font><div style="text-align:center;"><b style="font-size:10pt;"><font color="#2c2c2c">Asuka is still the NXT Women’s Champion! </font></b></div><font color="#2c2c2c"></p><p>

Asuka stands in the ring and celebrates confidently in the middle of the ring with the NXT Women’s championship. The NXT Universe is going absolutely nuts as Hideo Itami is on his knees with his arms in the air. The replays of the match are shown as Hideo stays on his knees clutching the championship. Hideo doesn’t look happy at the victory, in fact he has a sorta blank look on his face. His eyes seem like they are made of stone as he quickly rolls out of the ring with the championship in hand and heads right to the back. He has finally achieved his goal, but what has gotten into Hideo Itami?</p><p> </p><p>

</font><hr> <font color="#2c2c2c"></p><p>

The cameras pan over the NXT Universe once more and goes into focus on two former NXT Champions who are sitting front row but very far from one another in <b>Kevin Owens</b> and <b>Sami Zayn</b>. Obvious boos for Owens and cheers for Zayn. The cameras then pan over to <b>Pat Patterson</b> who is enjoying himself at ringside.</p><p> </p><p>
