Holiday - Return new gimmick / dispostion?

I am wondering if you send a worker away on a long enough holiday when they return can they start straight away with a new gimmick or turn or do they still need to be involved in gimmicks?

 

Playing 1992, want DiBiase (with Nash as he's insurance policy and Shane Douglas as he's Million Dollar Champion) to beat IRS down, few months off, return for a feud, will this work if I send him away and set for turn straight away?
