Calling up a Developmental Champ

Recommended Posts

Guys I know that I can call anyone up at any time even if just for a one night deal.

Is there a way that I can get the developmental championship off of someone before I call them up to the main roster?

Yes.

You can replace a champion or vacate the title on your own.

Go to - Child Companies -> Titles - and then there are your options.

One thing I have done in the past is call up the champ and the guy I want to take the title for a PPV and then have the champ lose a PPV match and then replace it myself. Sadly you can't actually have the title involved in the match, but it's something.

Would love the option to book my child company, but I guess you could just start a brand on my main roster and take the workers out of development?

I tend to wait for them to lose the title which is extremely annoying sometimes when I want to call up someone. In the case of Asuka though I just called her up and had it be a part of the storyline that she never lost the title but she can't bring it to the main roster.

But what really grinds my gears is when a developmental champion's contract is up and they're not willing to sign another developmental contract so they'll by default have to vacate the title even if you put them back there immediately and if you put the title back on them, it'll make them two time champion.

I run raw, smackdown and NXT:Generation. So essentially I can this third show with my developmental talent and book them how I want with belts etc. It's kind of my half way house from nxt to the real main roster. Also means so mid card talent who you want to keep happy can have a few matches there and build momentum etc. On ppv nxt:gen gets the ore show slots so can really build talent quickly. Only problem is it's a lot of booking each game week.
