<p>Aussie Titan doesn't entirely fit the LAX Wrestling product but that's why I love him. He's something different (as that's what I was looking for). No matter what, I was going to follow LAX religiously. But, with that said, I am thrilled to see Garion de Galle make the cut! I can't wait to see what your creative vision does with his character moving forward.

UPDATE

 

I decided to continue on with the roster unveiling in the way it started. I was excited a few days back and wanted to jump right in; however, realized that I didn't have a lot of the work done yet. That said, I'm going to take this time to develop those things, unveil the roster, and move ahead as scheduled.

 

There are only 3 more wrestlers to unveil!

 

Here are some things that came to mind today.

 

1) "Outsiders" may have one-off (or a few dates); No Long-Term Contracts

Unlike the last LAX Wrestling creation, I will not be signing long-term contracts to "outsiders." Last time around, I signed people like Spencer Spade, KC Glenn, Primus Allen, etc., and you won't see that this time around. My reasoning is because it pushed your creations aside. Now, I will sign wrestlers to a one or two show appearance at times; so, we have "new names" and "new matches" to pull in attention.

 

2) Write-up Style (First-Person)

The write-up approach to this project will be a first-person account of backstage scenarios. It will be told in the future, looking back on this time via a documentary style. From there, shows will be posted in-between the events and it will all flow together in a way.

 

3) Lucha but not 'Straight Lucha'

LAX Wrestling will definitely have a medium (if not heavy) lucha-experience. One of the championships is in Spanish, there are many masked luchadors, and the in-ring action is faster-paced; however, it won't be AAA in America per se. It's going to be more urban feeling (spay paint, crumbling cement, etc) with a heavy-hitting lucha-style. The cult-nature of the product makes it a more complex/darker scenario than a bright, colorful lucha-style. In this vein, I'm hoping that it will present itself in a unique light.

 

4) First Champions

I already have a good idea of who will be LAX Wrestling's first champions. It's based upon skill-set, character, and the storylines that I have in mind. Since we are a 50/50 company (skill and overness), their popularity isn't the MOST important thing but it will come into play.

 

5) Only some can succeed

It can be hard to appease everyone when using a created wrestler company. Everyone wants to see their creations do something great. Well, that's not really possible. In reality, some must fail so others may feast. This will have nothing to do with the handler who created them. It will have everything to do with the circumstance of the moment and how they fit into the roster. So, please, do not take anything personally.

<p>Just one more thing about my character (I've wrote quite enough already). That design on his head? It's the Japanese Kanji for Dog, Inu. </p><p> </p><p>

I actually haven't learned how to write that particular Kanji (though some general rules apply, plus it's similar to the Kanji for Book, which I have learned) and I'm still (very) new to the language, so it may not be the best depiction.</p><p> </p><p>

But... I thought it would make it look cool, so I put it on his face anyway. </p><p> </p><p>

Either way, I'm glad you included my character -- my goals were A) to provide some cool narratives and B) to make booking/writing easier. If nothing else, both will do well with "the boys" backstage, which was a major consideration in making my character. </p><p> </p><p>

I thought the render came out really well -- kind of surprising, since given the concept and my familiarity with it, I didn't expect it to look nearly as cool! Really looking forward to this.</p>
