Really good show, it mostly stuck to the real life show but that's how it goes for the most part; it's tough to deviate from what happened at the real Bash 94 unless you're doing something radical. Some really awesome ratings for the matches and angles for sure. Should be good to see where you go from here now when you can get into your own action instead of what WCW had pre-booked for you already.

Yeah i didn't want to change to many of the starting feuds or storylines that soon. Most of the starting storylines will be resolved at Fall Brawl and Halloween Havoc, so from The Clash and Battlebowl in November there will be more focus on new fresh storylines/feuds and maybe some new signings. Hogan will also listen more to Bischoff and Flair, so their favorites might be pushed instead of Dusty's and Kevin Sullivan's; and there will not be any Three Faces of Fear/Dungeon of Doom storyline.</p>

Latest News from around the World

Latest News from around the World

After the current Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan feud, Steve Austin, is rumoured to receive his long-awaited main event push. But in the World of Hulk Hogan vs. Monster Heels, there are some who believe Austin will just tread water and won’t be able to crack the main event scene.

The story last week about a guy with a gun charging the ring during a Terry Funk match in WCW was apparently blown out of proportion. He was just drunk and happened to have a gun on him when they detained him, he wasn’t brandishing it around and charging the ring or anything.

It seems that Jim Ross is set to remain with WWF, after rumours began circulating that he has been offered a contract extension. With his contract about to expire, there had been some rumours that he could leave, but these now appear unfounded.

Insiders confirm that Steven Regal was brought before the WCW Wrestler’s Court, accused of being an hour late to pick up his assigned travel partner. The judge, Vader, found him guilty and sentenced him to pay for his travel partner’s meals for the next three shows.

WWF apparently made a major play to try and steal Konnan from AAA after the success of the New York and Chicago AAA shows, but Konnan isn’t jumping and plans to stay where he is.

WCW “Underdog” Joey Maggs sustained a Broken Collar Bone at this week’s Saturday Night show. He is currently out of action and will be back in 17 days.

The plan for WCW wrestling to become a daily DisneyWorld attraction was nixed by higher ups at Turner, so that won’t be happening and the headquarters will remain in Atlanta.

WCW and ECW wrestler, Cactus Jack is reported to have sustained Chronic Knee Pain during the latest episode of ECW Hardcore TV. Initial reports are sketchy, but it is believed that he will not be taking time off, but will work through the pain.

WWF is airing skits where Leslie Neilsen of Naked Gun fame is playing a detective trying to get to the bottom of the Fake Undertaker story.

According to sources within USWA the company has drawn up plans to pit Sid Vicious and Jerry Lawler against Jeff Jarrett and Bam Bam Bigelow in a lengthy 2 vs. 2 storyline that will be the focal point of the promotion for the forseeable future. There has also been talk from within USWA that indicates that Kamala is to begin a lengthy feud with Tommy Rich. There has been no official word yet of course, but we will keep you up to date with any futher happenings.

The ECW World Television Championship changed hands last night at ECW Heat Wave, as Dean Malenko became the new champion, ending the reign of Mikey Whipwreck after thirteen title defences. This is the first time he has won the ECW World Television Championship. The feedback has been that ECW Heat Wave was awesome and the performance of the night belonged to Ron Simmons.

Rumour has it that Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair have suggested that Hulk Hogan should face Sting in a Face vs Face “Dream Match” at Starrcade. But Hogan decided to reject this idea and countered by suggesting it makes better sense for him to face a former WWF monster heel that he already have experience to work with (like John Tenta, One Man Gang, Kamala or Fred Ottman). This story is still developing and we will bring you more news as we get it.

ECW saw a title change last night at ECW Hardcore TV, as Shane Douglas lost the ECW World Heavyweight Championship to Jimmy Snuka. This victory marks his third reign with the title. Shane Douglas managed seven successful title defences prior to this defeat.

Tito Santana ended weeks of speculation last night when he signed a contract extension to keep him with AAA. Many insiders say that this is a key piece of business for the company, as finding a replacement could have been tricky.

Marcus Alexander Bagwell is badly hurt. News has come in that WCW Blue Chipper Marcus Alexander Bagwell has picked up a Broken Ankle. It is said to have happened during a dark match last night, and early reports are that he will need to take time off in order to heal, which is a huge blow for him. He is expected to be back in 44 days.

The vacant SMW United States Jr. Heavyweight Championship was claimed last night, as Brian Armstrong became the new champion at SMW Summer Blast.

Commentator Rob Naylor says Bret Hart’s comments about Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are completely out of line. “This man’s arrogance far exceeds his wrestling ability, which is saying a lot” and says Bret will have his vote for “Most Obnoxious in the year end Awards”. Bret’s bitter and jealous. “The day will come, sooner than he thinks, when Bret Hart will be rode out to pasture by younger stars like Shawn Michaels.”

The vacant WWF European Championship was claimed last night, as The Underfaker became the new champion at WWF In Your House.

E! Network did a feature on WCW, featuring several wrestlers. WCW United States champion “Stunning” Steve Austin in particular was great on the show.

Veteran Greg “The Hammer” Valentine could soon be returning to the spotlight. Valentine are said to be high on the shortlists of WCW and WWF. “The Hammer” currently works for NWA Dallas, IWCCW and NWA FL.

WWF has had serious discussion about bringing in Chris Benoit as part of a babyface tag team, no word on who the partner would be.

Mark Madden may be getting a job with WCW to take over the hotline on Sundays from Bobby Heenan. The only hotline that is successful in WCW is Gene Okerlund’s Saturday hotline, but even that only does about half the business that it used to do when Jim Ross ran it a few years ago. You can only give teases and trick people into calling so many times before it stops working. People want info for their dollar and Ross used to deliver it, while Okerlund is constantly hyping up that he’s gonna dish some dirt on the hotline, but rarely delivers anything substantial.

WWF star Razor Ramon has told friends he plans to take some time off at the beginning of the year to spend some time with his family.

Sabu and Tazmaniac had a hardcore match at an indie show in Michigan that included the following foreign objects: A car radiator, a television, a radio, a VCR, a freezer door, a baseball bat, a fan, a toaster, a vacuum cleaner, a pool cue and more.

Speaking of Sabu, he’s apparently talking about going to WWF next year, but reportedly ECW has offered “The Homicidal Suicidal Genocidal Death-Defying Maniac” big money to stay with them instead.

Road Warrior Animal is telling people he plans to return to the ring in early 1995 and reform the tag team with Hawk in New Japan and probably WCW. Animal reportedly looks enormous lately.

Indie wrestlers Bill DeMott, John Kronus and Perry Saturn both received tryouts at the WWF tapings, but didn’t get much reaction.

John Tenta (Earthquake) was pulled from an indie show in Canada because WWF has him tied up in a bunch of legal red tape because they’re trying to prevent him from going to WCW. Tenta is good friends with Jimmy Hart and Hart seems to have a lot of pull in WCW right now.

With Bash at the Beach pulling in a bigger buyrate than the recent King of the Ring PPV, WCW has now started a new ad campaign with the slogan “The New #1”

<p>really good read...loving it..</p><p> </p><p>

I remember this era very well, id been following WCW for some time over WWF to be honest, mainly cos I couldn't stand Hogan, I remember being pretty bummed and excited tho when he signed for WCW. Bummed because as mentioned I didn't like him (I was a warrior and savage fan) but excited because I could see that WCW was finally spending money. It was exciting times and this is capturing it very well</p><p> </p><p>

I will try to update with the next show in a while, it's been kind of insanely hectic at work and at the same time we are moving and renovating the new house. In the end of August things will have settled so that i have more TEW time. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Richards also has a short contract with the Power Plant. The WCW Power Plant doesn't have any titles, and run weekly Tryout events. When their contracts runs out i'll release them to the indies and see what happens. Edge is most likely going to make it big, because he is growing overness extremely fast and should be a indy star. Maybe i'll sign them back in the future after a stint in the indies or in WWF.</p>

Nothing Flair tries seems to work to finish Hogan. In an unbelievable “Once In A Lifetime” match, Elizabeth gets on the apron with a foreign object, but Mr. T grabs her and takes her to the back. She manages to toss Flair the object during this. The ref yells at Jimmy Hart to get off the apron and Hogan goes to finish the job, but Flair decks him with the object and Hogan falls back like a sack of potatos! Flair goes for a pin. 1, 2, Hulk-Up. “Damn it!” Bobby Heenan exclaims.</p><p> </p><p> Flair lays into him with rights and Hogan is shaking it all off. Hogan really no-sells Flair’s offense. Hulk Hogan looks to the right. Hulk Hogan looks to the left. The Hulkamaniacs start to cheer. Hulk Up Time! Hogan, shaking his fists, looks deep within himself and remembers what A Real American Hero is. The finger wag and the crowd goes nuts and he makes his big comeback! Punch, Punch, Punch, Irish Whip, Big Boot and Leg Drop and it’s over.</p><p> </p><p> Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair in 44:40 by pinfall with a Leg Drop. Regal looks utterly disgusted and is complaining to the referee to change the match outcome. This match wasn't sanctioned it doesn't count. Thunderous "U-S-A!" chants from the crowd, despite that non of the two wrestlers are American.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Highlights of Ricky Steamboat vs. Steve Austin</strong></p><p> Steve Austin goes full Pearl Harbor on Ricky Steamboat and goes after the knee, but Steamboat counters with Old School wrestling. Once again it’s a brutal display of power when these two big men collide. It’s all about clubbering blows and stiff power moves.</p><p> </p><p> Vader eats a right, then they go back in, as Angel suplexes him in from the apron. Then Guardian Angel shoulderblocks Vader into the referee that gets knocked over. Meanwhile, Harley Race has a “Telescopic Night Stick” and hits the Angel in the head. Vader finish Angel with a brutal Triple Powerbomb. Race quickly hides the “telescopic night stick” before the referee wakes up.</p><p> </p><p> In an exceptional stiff slugfest, Vader defeated The Guardian Angel in a Taped Fist match in 13:33 by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered and hit The Guardian Angel with a “Telescopic Night Stick” while Vader distracted the referee.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Highlights of Arn’s turn and the post-match, backstage celebration</strong></p><p> In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, "Double A" Arn Anderson and Bunkhouse Buck shrugs off a couple collar-and-elbow tie-ups to start. Until "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes comes in and starts hammering away on Buck with Bionic Elbows. Terry Funk tags, but Dustin won’t let him into the ring and lands a haymaker to send him out to the floor. Funk goes crazy on the floor and swings at Meng and Col. Robert Parker. Back in the ring, he backs Rhodes into the ropes and fires away with punches. The whole time Funk is mouthing off and belittling Dustin for being a Rhodes.</p><p> </p><p> Rhodes fights back with Bionic Elbows! He hits a stiff Lariat on Terry Funk and crotches Bunkhouse Buck up on the top rope. Dustin throws Buck on top of Funk and finally makes a tag to Arn Anderson! With Dustin physically exhausted, "Double A" makes the tag resulting that Arn turns on Dustin and drops him with a perfectly-executed DDT! Meanwhile, the referee is with Meng. "Double A" puts Funk on top as the referee counts three.</p><p> </p><p> Bunkhouse Buck & Terry Funk defeated Dustin Rhodes and Arn Anderson in 15:40 when Terry Funk defeated Dustin Rhodes by pinfall following a turn by Arn Anderson.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match, Arn Anderson, Terry Funk, Bunkhouse Buck and Meng quadruple team Dustin Rhodes to break his right arm. Col. Parker has the ref covered up to stop him. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson that we all know is back and as bad as ever.</p><p> </p><p> WCW Security eventually comes out to stop them. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan remarks that having security have to be the ones to come down and stop you from getting beat up is like having no friends to back you up in a fight in high school and the principal has to be the one to stop it.</p><p> </p><p> “Mean Gene” tries interviewing Arn Anderson on the aisleway, but Arn says if Gene wants to get a word, come backstage and party with them. Bunkhouse Buck almost takes “Heartthrob” Rikki Nelson’s head off of his shoulders with a stiff Lariat. Terry Funk busts Eddie Golden open up good and executes the DDT to win.

Post-match, Funk keeps the hold on Eddie Golden and Bunkhouse Buck scrapes at Golden’s face with the Cowbell on his rope. In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Bunkhouse Buck & Terry Funk defeated Eddie Golden & Rikki Nelson in 4:45 when Terry Funk defeated Rikki Nelson by pinfall with a DDT.

Recap Of Bash At The Beach

http://i.imgur.com/9ZW8Z9U.jpg

Highlights of what happened between Lord Steven Regal And Antonio Inoki from Bash At The Beach

In a bout that had great technical and hard-hitting wrestling; and a decent reaction from the crowd, Antonio Inoki defeated Steven Regal in an Impromptu match in 7:45 by submission with a Manji Hold. Regal looks utterly disgusted and is complaining to the referee to change the match outcome. This match wasn't sanctioned it doesn't count. Thunderous "U-S-A!" chants from the crowd, despite that non of the two wrestlers are American.

Highlights of Ricky Steamboat vs. Steve Austin

Steve Austin goes full Pearl Harbor on Ricky Steamboat and goes after the knee, but Steamboat counters with Old School wrestling. In a bout that had sensational wrestling and great heat, Steve Austin defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat in 30:08 by pinfall with a Stun Gun after a distraction from Jeannie. Steve Austin makes defence number 18 of his WCW United States Championship title.

Highlights of The Guardian Angel vs. Vader

These two big brutes had a kickass match at Spring Stampede. Once again it’s a brutal display of power when these two big men collide. It’s all about clubbering blows and stiff power moves.

Vader eats a right, then they go back in, as Angel suplexes him in from the apron. Then Guardian Angel shoulderblocks Vader into the referee that gets knocked over. Meanwhile, Harley Race has a “Telescopic Night Stick” and hits the Angel in the head. Vader finish Angel with a brutal Triple Powerbomb. Race quickly hides the “telescopic night stick” before the referee wakes up.

In an exceptional stiff slugfest, Vader defeated The Guardian Angel in a Taped Fist match in 13:33 by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered and hit The Guardian Angel with a “Telescopic Night Stick” while Vader distracted the referee.

Highlights of Arn’s turn and the post-match, backstage celebration

In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, "Double A" Arn Anderson and Bunkhouse Buck shrugs off a couple collar-and-elbow tie-ups to start. The whole time Funk is mouthing off and belittling Dustin for being a Rhodes.

Rhodes fights back with Bionic Elbows! "Double A" puts Funk on top as the referee counts three.

Bunkhouse Buck & Terry Funk defeated Dustin Rhodes and Arn Anderson in 15:40 when Terry Funk defeated Dustin Rhodes by pinfall following a turn by Arn Anderson.

Post-match, Arn Anderson, Terry Funk, Bunkhouse Buck and Meng quadruple team Dustin Rhodes to break his right arm. Col. Parker has the ref covered up to stop him. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson that we all know is back and as bad as ever.

WCW Security eventually comes out to stop them. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan remarks that having security have to be the ones to come down and stop you from getting beat up is like having no friends to back you up in a fight in high school and the principal has to be the one to stop it.

“Mean Gene” tries interviewing Arn Anderson on the aisleway, but Arn says if Gene wants to get a word, come backstage and party with them. Gene refuses and is appalled!

Rating: 89 A

Interview w/ Lord Steven Regal

http://i.imgur.com/Wp5mD5Z.jpg

“Mean Gene” interviews Regal. Regal has a cricket paddle just for show. You gotta know what a crimpet is, before you can cricket. Regal talks about his lack of respect he gets here and how if he has to start reaching out of WCW to destroy other worldly legends, then so be it.

Regal says that Inoki was lucky and that he issues an “Open Challenge” for any wrestling legend. He’ll put the World Television title on the line so that he can destroy another legend.

Suddenly “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan’s theme song starts playing...

<iframe width="220" height="124" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sjJho-ZEmJA?ecver=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

http://i.imgur.com/M6V5lpq.jpg

“Hacksaw” receives a massive U-S-A! chant while waving the American flag and his two by four. “Hacksaw” says that he accepts Regal’s challenge. Regal just looks utterly disgusted, points his cricket paddle at Duggan and says that he will make short work of the so called legend.

Highlights Of Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan [from Bash At The Beach]

Crowd’s hot and the match has a ton of energy. “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” is controlling the match and tries everything to defeat Hogan. “Damn it!” Bobby Heenan exclaims.

Flair lays into him with rights and Hogan is shaking it all off. Punch, Punch, Punch, Irish Whip, Big Boot and Leg Drop and it’s over.

Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair in 44:40 by pinfall with a Leg Drop. Hulk Hogan wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship title.

Rating: 100 A*

Gene Okerlund had an interview with Diamond Dallas Page. The obnoxious and arrogant Diamond Dallas Page is flanked by Diamond Doll, Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond. We’re told in his time off, DDP hit it big in Vegas and became extremely wealthy. DDP has brought back The Diamond Mine and his first acquisition is Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka), a team he previously has led to Tag Team titles in other promotions. “WCW is going to be hit by a string of the Diamond Fever!”

Featuring an emotional interview segment with Dusty and Dustin Rhodes from the last WCW Saturday Night episode

Everyone leaves except The Rhodes. Dusty gets on the mic and talks about all that’s been going on and what The Stud Stable is like.

Bunkhouse Buck, Colonel Robert Parker, they’re scum, Terry Funk is a watermelon theivin’, egg suckin’ dog and Arn Anderson is pig scum, a go behinder and his view will never change. He says when Dustin was born, he went out to begin his career, and he neglected him. When he was World Champion, he left Dustin at home, and he neglected him.

Dustin needed a partner, his innocence was robbed, and he neglected him, and at what cost. He doesn’t want to be that man, he doesn’t want to neglect his son, and he says it’s about time he starts being the father he always should’ve been.

He says he knows that Dustin signed his name on the dotted line to face The Stud Stable at the Clash and he doesn’t have a partner, he’s gonna go at it alone, but he doesn’t want to see Dustin hurt again and he doesn’t want him to be on his hands and knees begging. He wants to be his son’s partner. He doesn’t want a handshake or a pat on the back, all he needs is a hug and a kiss to seal the deal and they hug, both balling their eyes out.

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The contract status of Jim Ross with WWF was clarified last night</strong>, when an announcement on the company web site confirmed that he had signed an exclusive contract extension, keeping him with the promotion long-term.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon and WWF were found not guilty this week in their steroid trial</strong>. In the end, it was obvious that Zahorian was distributing steroids and it was obvious that Vince McMahon knew it was happening, but the government was unable to prove that McMahon ever actively arranged for it to happen and that was the crux of the conspiracy charge. In fact, it seems likely that Pat Patterson and Linda McMahon were more involved in the decisions regarding Zahorian than Vince was. But they weren’t on trial.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Antonio Inoki planned to meet up with George Foreman while he was in America</strong> last week, but it didn’t happen. He did have a meeting with Muhammad Ali while he was here though.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Expect Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart to start having more influence in WCW due to the success of Bash Of The Beach</strong>. Most likely Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart are getting more of their friends hired. Jim Duggan have already debuted, while Ed Leslie and Brian Blair appeared with Hogan in the post-match celebration.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jesse Ventura has been complaining to anyone who will listen</strong> about being replaced on the WCW Saturday Night show by Bobby Heenan and not being told ahead of time what role he has at PPVs.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>There’s a American wrestler touring in Japan under the name Rio Lord of Jungle</strong>, who is basically a carbon copy of Ultimate Warrior.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>There’s rumors that Roddy Piper will be starting a Portland wrestling promotion</strong> in the next few months. The business plan is to use local talent, but to also set up a working deal with WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Missy Hyatt appeared on the Sally Jessy Raphael talk show</strong> in what appeared to be a fictional role, playing a woman who was mistreated by her boyfriend.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mike Tenay and Mark Madden</strong> will both be doing the 900 Hotline for WCW, alternating days.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vader is rumoured to be scheduled to work against Hulk Hogan at Starrcade</strong>. Hogan had initially refused to work with Vader because of his reputation for working stiff, but Vader has promised Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner that he’ll take it easy on him, so that is now the plan. The original plans called for Hogan to drop the belt to Sting at Starrcade, but that’s obviously been changed.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ric Flair appeared on a German talk show this week</strong>. The hosts asked Flair about Bret Hart’s comments. “I feel sorry for Bret Hart. He is a legend in his own mind. He lives in his own little world. He has the nerve to compare himself to me. Let’s get realistic. If you put Bret Hart in your left hand and me in your right hand, compare the career. Who is Bret Hart? I wrestled everybody in the business for an hour each night. I’ve been around. I know who’s been successful; I know why they’ve been successful and I know who’s good and who’s not good at what they do for a living. I’m the only guy that’s wrestled everybody. Bret Hart, he came from a very strong family that was very well recognised and very highly thought of. But here are the facts, he never wrestled anybody except in the WWF and never was a big star in Japan. When the WWF was hot he was in the Hart Foundation, he didn’t have to draw any money, he just rode around on Hogan’s coat tails. And when they made him champion he couldn’t draw a dime. Does that make him a big star? In my world he is a nobody. He is a piss-ant in the history of wrestling.” Flair welcomed him to come to WCW and challenge him for the title.</p>

Highlights of Arn’s turn and the post-match, backstage celebration

In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, “Double A” Arn Anderson and Bunkhouse Buck shrugs off a couple collar-and-elbow tie-ups to start. Until “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes comes in and starts hammering away on Buck with Bionic Elbows. Terry Funk tags, but Dustin won’t let him into the ring and lands a haymaker to send him out to the floor. Funk goes crazy on the floor and swings at Meng and Col. Robert Parker. Back in the ring, he backs Rhodes into the ropes and fires away with punches. The whole time Funk is mouthing off and belittling Dustin for being a Rhodes.

Rhodes fights back with Bionic Elbows! He hits a stiff Lariat on Terry Funk and crotches Bunkhouse Buck up on the top rope. Dustin throws Buck on top of Funk and finally makes a tag to Arn Anderson! With Dustin physically exhausted, “Double A” makes the tag resulting that Arn turns on Dustin and drops him with a perfectly-executed DDT! Meanwhile, the referee is with Meng. “Double A” puts Funk on top as the referee counts three.

Highlights Of The Feud Between Hulk Hogan And Ric Flair

Crowd’s hot and the match has a ton of energy. “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” is controlling the match and tries everything to defeat Hogan. “Damn it!” Bobby Heenan exclaims.

Flair lays into him with rights and Hogan is shaking it all off. Punch, Punch, Punch, Irish Whip, Big Boot and Leg Drop and it’s over.

Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair in 44:40 by pinfall with a Leg Drop. Hulk Hogan wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship title.

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW last night revealed in a short press release that Erik Watts had left the company</strong>. According to our sources, the split was because Erik Watts is one of the most controversial names in wrestling history, after his father, Bill Watts, pushed him to the moon making a lot of enemies in the WCW locker room.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>American Wrestling Federation officially opened</strong> in Great Lakes, founded by Paul Alperstein in an attempt to compete with WWF and WCW.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>There are once again rumors going around about Sid Vicious</strong> returning to WWF to once more "Rule the World".</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The WCW website was updated last night with the following news</strong>; "WCW and Ron Simmons have parted company after his contract expired. We wish him all the best in the future." Ron Simmons has been unavailable to comment. The former WCW World Heavyweight champion are currently contracted by ECW and are also expected to go on tour with New Japan.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The WCW website was also updated with the news</strong>; that WCW and Scott Stud have parted company after his contract expired. Scott Stud is expected to sign a contract with Smokey Mountain Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steel City Wrestling officially opened in Tri State</strong>, founded by Norm Conners.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The industry in America is going through a transitional period</strong>. While WWF may have survived its largest threat ever with the steroid trial, the company has never been in worse shape than they are now, with the average show rating of Monday Night Raw being 67 in July. As for WCW, they practically mortgaged the whole company to get Hulk Hogan and so far, the gamble has worked out okay, but the long-term risks are still massive and Hogan doesn't seem to want to be the full-time star they need to build the company around. Filming Thunder In Paradise will take up at least 6 months of 1995 and he seems to want to be a celebrity and actor more than he wants to wrestle and only gets in the ring these days to keep his face in the public. Hogan is 41 and it's perfectly understandable that he might be wanting to transition to a new phase in life. But that puts WCW in a position of trying to build their company around a guy who doesn't see wrestling as his #1 priority anymore.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW Power Plant trainee Ron Reis is a legit 7'2, 370lbs</strong> and manager Jimmy Hart hasn't been shy about telling people that he will be the next Andre The Giant because of his size and athleticism.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sources within WCW reveal that Vader and Cactus Jack brought up the idea of Sid Vicious returning</strong> during a WCW production meeting recently and it was almost unanimously vetoed.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW and AAA are negotiating</strong> to put together a joint PPV later in the year. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Crockett held the first show of his new promotion this week</strong>, featuring mostly southern stars like Rock & Roll Express, Greg Valentine, Michael Hayes and a bunch of really green no-name younger stars. The shows were said to be good, but nothing really of note happened. They taped over 20 matches and plan to shop them around to get a TV deal and start running local shows. The crowd was a little over 1,000 but most of that was free tickets.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Antonio Inoki is scheduled to meet with George Foreman</strong> next month in Los Angeles, either for a photo shoot or possibly to negotiate the match that Inoki has been wanting for years. Speaking of, Inoki is still expected to face Hulk Hogan in his retirement match at the Jan. 4th show. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan both have a ton of heat in WCW </strong>for the promos they've been cutting in ECW. Both wrestlers, who wrestles in WCW, but are on loan to ECW for a few shows cut promos saying that ECW is better than WCW just to get over in Philly. The two wrestlers are engaged in one of ECW's hottest feuds at the moments with several extremely violent matches and backstage confrontations as a result. According to rumours Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan are likely to take advantage and make this an inter-promotional feud.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF had to cancel a house show in Johnstown, PA</strong> last week, because the ring was accidentally sent to the wrong city.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>UWA is trying to revive their working agreement with AAA</strong>, because crowds have fallen to almost nothing now that AAA stars aren't appearing on the shows anymore. But the AAA guys are drawing bigger crowds in those same cities on their own so they don't want any part of the UWA deal anymore. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vampiro will be working a few AAA shows in the United States</strong>, but not in Mexico and is adamant that he is planning to stay with EMLL.</p>

WCW Worldwide - [Friday / Week 2 /August / 1994]

These are the results from WCW Worldwide, being held by World Championship Wrestling.

Alex Wright vs. Terry Richards

http://i.imgur.com/mUxDyrK.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/jorYiq0.jpg

Eurotechno fever has hit the WCW and the rising German star adds another victory to his undefeated streak. In a terrible match, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright defeated chubby babyfaced jobber Terry Richards in 5:30 by pinfall with a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Maybe Richards would look cooler if he did grow a beard?

Rating: 50 D+

Rikki Nelson vs. The Samoan Savage

http://i.imgur.com/jorYiq0.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/qp95AR0.jpg

In a terrible match, The Samoan Savage dominated and defeated "Heartthrob" Rikki Nelson in 1:12 by pinfall with a Diving Headbutt.

Rating: 51 D+

Highlights Of Dusty Rhodes vs Terry Funk

This is all Dustiy's epic babyface offense. Terry Funk's selling is great. Col. Parker trips Rhodes at one point and Funk's able to take him down. Funk slams Dusty down and goes to run the ropes, but as he does, Dustin sneaks in a Bionic Elbow, behind the referee's back; and Dusty hits the DDT. In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Dusty Rhodes defeated Terry Funk in 15:38 by pinfall with a DDT following interference from Dustin Rhodes.

After the match, The Rhodes and The Stud Stable end up in a wild brawl. Dusty and Dustin opens up with Bionic Elbows on Terry Funk for old times sakes.

Arn Anderson, Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater bolts out and joins the wild brawl, with the chaos spilling out all around ringside. Meng gets into the ring and again has a stand off with Dusty. The entire face locker room empties out and holds Dusty back as Parker calls off Meng.

Rating: 100 A*

Frank Andersson vs. Damon Stryker

http://i.imgur.com/VYSLZv0.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/jorYiq0.jpg

The Swede just suplexes the hell out of the clueless jobber. In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, multiple amateur wrestling World Championships gold medalist Frank Andersson defeated pretty boy Damon Stryker in 4:56 by pinfall.

Rating: 52 D+

Chris Champion & Mark Starr vs. The Texas Hangmen

http://i.imgur.com/QROEsXQ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/J2FktdB.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/cKVtvdS.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/GdUQt8j.jpg

In a terrible match, The Texas Hangmen defeated Chris Champion & Mark Starr in 6:04 when Killer defeated Mark Starr by pinfall with a Flying Axehandle. It seems like The Texas Hangmen has gained a cult following among the fans who'd repeatedly chant for them during the match.

Rating: 47 D

Stan Lee vs. Scott Norton

http://i.imgur.com/jorYiq0.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/6iUVwNS.jpg

In a terrible match, powerhouse Scott Norton destroyed jobber "Sweet" Stan Lee in 1:14 by pinfall with a Release Powerbomb.

Rating: 53 C-

Highlights of the Feud between Flair and Hogan

In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Ric Flair defeated Terry Taylor in 7:31 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. During the match we also had Hulk Hogan distract Ric Flair.

Late in the bout, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart appeared on the big screen, distracting Flair; after the contest, Flair grabbed the ropes for added leverage and kept the hold applied, with he and Elizabeth then double teaming Taylor until Hogan and Hart ran out to clear the ring; moments later, Hogan posed in the ring with the title belt before being interviewed by Gene Okerlund regarding Hogan's title defense against Flair at the Clash of the Champions; Hogan then said he would face Flair next week on Saturday Night, with the title up for grabs, if Flair had the guts. Hogan says the obvious about how he's going to be WCW Champion forever and a day.

Rating: 100 A*

Tim Horner vs. Rip Rogers

http://i.imgur.com/sbtb9EJ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/3wHvUsR.jpg

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, fabulous heel "The Hustler" Rip Rogers defeated fan favorite "White Lightning" Tim Horner in 5:03 by submission with a Rear Naked Choke after blatantly cheating.

Rating: 58 C-

Scott Armstrong and Diamond Dallas Page are in the ring, and are squaring off. Scott Armstrong is unhappy about DDP cheating and Diamond Doll interfering. The argument soon turns physical, and they are joined by the rest of The Armstrong Brothers and Badd Company for a wild brawl, with the chaos spilling out all around ringside. Eventually a number of officials and other wrestlers have to hit the ring and pull them apart before they kill each other.

A highlight video is shown to promote the feud between the two powerhouses, The Guardian Angel and Vader.

The announcers talk about how last week during WCW Saturday Night, Vader stormed the Blue Locker Room and beat the hell out of The Guardian Angel; and when he was supposed to get medical attention, The Guardian Angel instead accosted Vader and they brawled again. So tonight, they’ll square off in 1 vs. 1 Grudge Match.

The Announcers Talk About The Hogan vs. Flair Feud

Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund talk about the rematch between “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair at the Clash Of The Champions. Flair vs Hogan is the biggest dream match in pro wrestling history. Heel colour commentator, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan just rips Hogan to shreds. Heenan simply doesn’t seem to like Hogan.

Then “American Made” hits…

The WCW World Heavyweight champion Hulk Hogan makes his entrance and poses in the ring with the title belt before being interviewed by “Mean” Gene Okerlund regarding Hogan’s title defense against Ric Flair at the Clash of the Champion. Hogan talks about Heenan’s accusations and says that Flair is looking for ways to get inside of his head before The Clash. Hogan mentions he wasn’t supposed to be here tonight, but he heard Flair was going to be. Hogan then said he would face Flair tonight, with the title up for grabs, if Flair had the guts. So he asks Gene to let him know when Flair gets here, and we’re not gonna wait for The Clash…

“Mean” Gene had an interview with “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Col. Parker and the other members of The Stud Stable hyping their upcoming tag team match with The Rhodes at The Clash.

“The Enforcer” is a friend to no man except for “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. His other partners were associates and strength in numbers. Dustin Rhodes was just a means to getting back into the thick of things. Arn was stuck in the midcard. Though he is in his way a loner, Anderson is not a solo artist. Though the relationships may not mean much to him beyond money and backup, “Double A” likes to run in a pack. Always have and always will. So though the Four Horsemen are currently inactive; Col. Parker has a good thing going with Terry Funk, Bunkhouse Buck, Dick Slater and Meng; guys who are together out of convenience more than anything else. “Double A” fits the group like a glove. It’s a collective of hired guns and Dustin Rhodes is a big idiot for asking the man who made his name as the “Enforcer of wrestling’s greatest gang to pal around with him, slapping hands against guys who so clearly are cut from the same cloth as Arn Anderson.

Interview w/ Lord Steven Regal

“Mean” Gene Okerlund had an interview with WCW World Television champion Steven Regal. He is sick of all these so called wrestling legends. He is a “Lord” and a superior wrestler. He has beaten Ric Flair and several Japanese stars. The American audience should treat him with respect.

This result in an thunderous “U-S-A!” chant...

Sting opens up on both heels early on with his explosive and athletic power-based wrestling. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat comes in and dominates against "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton. Steamboat simply does what he wants in the ring before getting isolated for a while. Sting storms in to stop the 2 on 1 and it all breaks down. Bad Attitude throws Steamboat out of the ring, while Sting’s able to take care of Steve Keirn and throw him to the outside. Then Bobby Eaton dominates Sting and puts him in the corner. He goes to hit a Running Splash, but midway through, “The Dragon” comes out of nowhere with a Diving Crossbody to intercept Eaton to win.

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Sting and Ricky Steamboat defeated Bad Attitude in 15:43 when Ricky Steamboat defeated Bobby Eaton by pinfall with a Diving Crossbody.

Vader eventually wins, and as Angel falls back, Harley chokes him with the top rope. Angel splashes Vader in the corner and keeps him out of it for a minute, suplexing Harley Race in, but accidentally taking the referee out. Angel hits Harley with the Sidewalk slam and both are down.
