Keep up the good work!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks, when i started the diary Worldwide was kind of a burden to book. I'm about one month ahead of the diary, so i'm just about to book the final shows before Halloween Havoc. Actually i've started to enjoy Worldwide more and more, focusing on showcasing International wrestlers and specific Worldwide feuds (like The Armstrongs vs The Diamond Mine), instead of the main feuds that are showcased on Saturday Night and Main Event. Frank Andersson is splitting his time between Deep South Wrestling and WCW, so he is developing nicely. He is most likely to be a key piece when it's time for the European Tour and the shows in Japan. Hopefully that will be his breakthrough moment that makes his overness grow to new heights.</p>

Sting crashes to the floor. The Guardian Angel is on his game tonight and is beating the crap out of Vader for a good while, getting alot of nearfalls. They get into an extremely entertaining punching battle for a good period of time. The Guardian Angel gets such a convincing nearfall that he gets up and celebrates. The referee argues with him and Vader attacks The Guardian Angel from behind. Vader connects with lots of Slams, Chokeslams and Powerbombs to try and kill The Guardian Angel, but he keeps kicking out.</p><p> </p><p> Here comes Sting again. Sting tries a quick Flurry, but Vader counters with hard-hitting jabs and hits him with a Powerslam. Vader goes up top and Sting rushes up and hits a Superplex and they’re both down for a while. Vader Powerbombs Sting down and hits a Big Splash, but Sting kicks out. Vader hits another Big Splash, but Sting kicks out. Vader pulls him to the corner and hits the devastating Vader Bomb. Vader starts hammering away with Punches and Sting’s selling is great and he finds ways to stay on his feet even after big Lariats from Vader. Brutal offense again from Vader. Vader yells at the referee trying to distracting him and Harley Race goes for a Knee Drop from the top rope onto Sting, but Sting moves. Sting takes out Race with a huge Flurry, receiving a loud pop from the audience.</p><p> </p><p> The two powerhouses; Angel and Vader are engaged in another hard-hitting punching battle. Angel connects with a Enzuigiri followed by a Body Avalanche. Vader goes down, but Sting attacks Angel from behind and tries with a fast Roll Up. 1…2…3! Sting wins and receives a epic crowd reaction. “NO!” exclaims Heenan. “NO!” Heenan can’t beleive his eyes.</p><p> </p><p> In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Sting defeated The Guardian Angel and Vader in a Triangle Threat match in 16:56 when Sting defeated The Guardian Angel by pinfall with a fast roll up. Sting is the No 1 Contender and gets a title shot against Ric Flair at Fall Brawl.</p><p> </p><p> Vader is furious and is clubbering away on the ring posts, but Harley Race manages to calm him down and they leave the ring. Angel interfere and tells Vader and Harley Race that this is far from over. At Fall Brawl he wants another piece of that fat bully.</p><p> </p><p> The argument turns physical, into a wild brawl, with the chaos spilling out all around ringside. Eventually a number of officials and other wrestlers have to hit the ring and pull them apart before they kill each other.</p><p> </p><p> Race says “Be careful what you wish for! <p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A cable company in Maine accidentally aired an adult movie instead of Summerslam</strong>. It only affected about 30-40 homes, but they still got lots of calls and complaints. The newspaper article talking about the incident reported one caller who said his 8-and-11-year-old children watched the movie for 15 minutes before they realized it wasn’t the wrestling show.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ECW’s talent exchange relationship with WCW seems to be finished</strong>. ECW tried to get Steve Austin to work a show in Tampa, but WCW refused, saying that by running a show in Florida, ECW was invading their territory and therefore won’t work with them anymore.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tryout wrestler John Bradshaw Layfield</strong> signs a written contract with WWF. J.B.L. is a tough brawling cowboy from Texas that has worked for the Global Wrestling Federation and the Catch Wrestling Association.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jacques and Pierre ended weeks of speculation last night</strong>, when they signed contract extension to keep them with WWF. Many insiders say that this is a key piece of business for WWF, as finding replacements could have been tricky.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Those who like their regular dose of “Indy Sleaze”</strong> will be delighted to hear that it seems that hardcore wrestler The Sandman has walked out on IWF, with the rumour mill claiming anything from missing payments to a locker room brawl as the reason behind the exit. Our sources have yet to confirm the reason, but we have heard that it is unlikely that he will ever be seen in IWF again.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW is deciding to move Starrcade</strong>, most likely to San Antonio. There has been talks of holding the show in Charlotte, since WCW has drawn well there before, but Hulk Hogan will likely nix that idea because he knows he’ll get booed there and Ric Flair would be cheered.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The rumours of the past week week were confirmed last night</strong>, when WCW officially announced that they have successfully completed the contract extension of reliable veteran “Terrific” Terry Taylor.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pancrase saw a title change last night</strong>, as Bas Rutten lost the King of Pancrase to Yoji Anjo at Pancrase 11. This victory marks his first reign as King of Pancrase.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ken Shamrock has received some heat with Pancrase in Japan</strong>, because he was reportedly working lazily and taking it easy at the last show because he’s trying to rest up for the upcoming UFC PPV this week. Pancrase officials want Shamrock to choose between UFC or Pancrase.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>1994 is far from a banner year for the top promotion in professional wrestling, World Wrestling Federation</strong>. Business mogul Vince McMahon is failing to create new stars in plentiful supply, and business is at an all-time low with WWF’s flagship Monday Night Raw struggling due to horrible booking and the outdated cartoonish, kiddie-like product. The house show attendance is troublesome for WWF, and in an downward trend. Fans may have been enthused by the WWF product a few years ago, but the mid-1990’s simply is not a profitable period. Even the likes of Bret Hart, Razor Ramon or The Undertaker don’t seem to help . It is clear that something needs to be done and as part of McMahon’s continued effort to establish the younger and hipper “The New Generation”, former Intercontinental champion Shawn Michaels is receiving a major push thanks to the storyline with “The New Hulk Hogan” Lex Luger.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Friction between Shawn Michaels and Lex Luger</strong> comes to a head stemming from Shawn Michaels’ commentary on the syndicated WWF radio show that Lex Luger “punches like a girl.”</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW had the Battlebowl PPV scheduled for Madison Square Garden</strong>, but the arena canceled the show this week and gave the date to WWF instead. WWF reportedly has a contract with the Garden giving them right to first refusal for any wrestling shows in the arena and therefore, they are choosing to run a show there that night simply to keep WCW out. WCW officials are furious and are talking about filing a lawsuit, but there’s also talk that they may try to book the nearby Meadowlands arena across the river and run head-to-head against WWF that night instead, doing a Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair main event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>One of the biggest heels of the 60s and 70s, Boris “The Great” Malenko passed away</strong> this week after a 4-month long battle with leukemia. Malenko was known as one of the best heels ever and leaves behind his two sons, Joe and Dean. He is known for having trained wrestlers like Johnny B. Badd, Sean Waltman, Barry Horowitz, and a ton of others.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The rumours of the past week week were confirmed last night</strong>, when WWF officially announced that they have successfully completed the contract extensions of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson known as The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WAR saw a title change last night</strong>, as Masao Orihara lost the WAR International Jr. Heavyweight Championship to The Great Sasuke. This victory marks his first reign with the title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The contract status of Jim Powers with WWF was clarified last night</strong>, when an announcement on the company website confirmed that he had signed an extension, keeping him with the promotion long-term.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW looks ready to embark a new golden age</strong>, with the highly successful Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair dream feud. Hulk Hogan known for his backstage politics is the head booker and co-owner of WCW, but the focus of money-making feuds and TV ratings seems to make Hulk listen to Ric Flair’s advice about pushing Steve Austin, Sting, Ricky Steamboat and Arn Anderson to semi-main event status and allow Mick Foley to book his own hardcore-style matches to offer a unique high quality product. The wrestling quality has gone through the roof and the rise of promising stars such as Steve Austin, Brian Pillman and Dustin Rhodes gives us a better glimpse of hope for the future of the company. WCW has a fresh product that have quality wrestling, solid storylines and fast-paced, but still coherent and welcomingly original booking that is an contrast to the cartoonish, kiddie-like product of the World Wrestling Federation.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Muhammad Ali will be appearing at Halloween Havoc</strong> in exchange for WCW making a donation to his charity.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Japanese superstar Keiji Mutoh has chosen to relocate</strong> and now resides in South East U.S.A.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>News has come in that Gary Albright has picked up a Herniated Spinal Disc</strong>. It is said to have happened during a UWFi Shoot-Style match last night against Masakatsu Funaki. Early reports are that he will need to take time off in order to heal, which is a huge blow for him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dos Caras’ 17-year-old son José Alberto Rodríguez is expected to debut soon in UWA</strong> alongside his father and his uncle, Mil Mascaras as part of a trios group.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Antonio Inoki will face Wilhelm Ruska at a show later this month in Japan</strong>. Ruska is an Olympic gold medalist who for many years was ranked #1 in the World in heavyweight Judo and had a famous feud with Inoki back in the 70s while building up to the Inoki vs. Muhammad Ali match.</p>

The War Games Rules Are Discussed

The War Games match consist of two teams of four men each facing off with each other in staggered entry format.

The setup of the cage consists of two rings side by side with a giant ring-encompassing rectangular cage that covered both rings, but not the ringside area. Doors are placed at far corners of the rectangular cage so that the two teams can’t come into contact before they are supposed to.

The War Games match consists of several periods. The first one-on-one fight in 5 minutes and all remaining competitors from both teams are each two minutes long.

The match begin with one member of each team entering the cage. After five minutes, a member from one of the teams determined by a coin toss, will enter the cage, giving his team the temporary 2-on-1 handicap advantage. After two minutes, a member from the other team would enter to even the odds and giving 2-on-2 tag team advantage fro the next 2 minutes. Entrants alternated between teams every two minutes, giving the coin toss-winning team the temporary advantage in the numbers game before giving the other team the advantage with the freshest man and even odds.

Teams continue to alternate during the 2 minutes periods until all ten men are in the ring.

Once all eight men has entered the cage, what is referred to as “The Match Beyond” begin. Both teams will brawl each other in the cage for as long as it takes until any member of either team submit, surrender, or is knocked out unconscious. There are no pinfalls, no count-outs, and no disqualifications

Gene Okerlund had an interview with “Superstar” Steve Austin and his valet Jeannie hyping his upcoming singles match with Brian Pillman.

Austin mocks his former tag team partner Brian Pillman and his current rival Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. He calls Steamboat a melon mouthed punk. He turns around and shows his custom black trunks with the letters "K.M.A." and tells "Mean" Gene that "K.M.A." is a message for Steamboat and Pillman, while pantomime crying.

“I’m the best! I’m the number one! You better get outta my way! Let me make it crystal clear, nobody’s gonna stop me from taking back my WCW United States title! Nobody’s gonna stop me from rising to the top of WCW! Nobody, I mean NOBODY! Brian Pillman vs. Steve Austin w/ Jeannie

Crowd’s hot and the match has a ton of energy and drama! In a bout that had sensational wrestling and good heat, “Superstar” Steve Austin defeated his former tag team partner Brian Pillman in 16:12 by submission with a Hollywood and Vine after interference from Jeannie (when Austin distracted the referee, Jeanne did hit Pillman with her heel shoe).

After the match, Steve Austin continues being an arrogant jerk after stealing the victory. He mocks his rival and declares himself the biggest star in WCW, while pantomime crying at Brian Pillman. "Your brush with greatness is over, Brian!"

Gene Okerlund brings out “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and the gorgeous Elizabeth. Gene Okerlund had an interview with Ric Flair hyping his upcoming matches with Sting at Fall Brawl.

Flair reminds everyone that Sting is only the challenger and that “The Nature Boy” is the champion. Not only the champion, but the Real World Champion! Flair have beaten them all, even Vader; and Flair is “The Man” and simply the best.

“To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. WOOOOOOOO!”

Hogan quoting Sting's theme song honestly just makes me think that would be "OOC Hogan" simultaneously putting him over while also burying him in a backhanded way. I like Austin storming off swearing, it's a nice nod toward the character he can become in the future while not going ahead with the middle fingers and beer and Stunners. You say it'll be a pretty predictable Fall Brawl, but I think you'll have some surprises for us here and there!

In 1995 things might be different since season 2 of Thunder Of Paradise is set to be filmed in 1995, things might be a little different than irl when it was canceled. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> There are some plans and storylines for blue chippers like Austin, Pillman and Dustin Rhodes to keep them occupied in their own little bubble and out of the way of Hogan, Duggan and the rest of Hulk's buddies.</p>

"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson start us off as Dustin climbs the cage to jump onto Arn. Wow! Dustin launched into Arn with a Flying Lariat from ring one to ring two. Arn tries to fight back, but Dustin Slams his back into the cage. Dustin rammed the back of Arn’s head into the cage three times. A stiff kick to Arn sends him in between both rings as Dustin picks Arn up vertically and tries to twist his head in between the rings. Arn escapes, but gets a Back Body Drop into the other ring and Dustin hits an amazing No Hands Plancha from ring one to ring two to take Arn out.</p><p> </p><p> This has been all Dustin so far. Low Blow to Arn and a Clothesline puts Arn down. Dustin starts to work the arm, but Arn responds with a perfectly-executed DDT. He starts to violently choke Dustin with his wrist tape and but gets a 360 Clothesline. Dustin with an Dropkick in an attempt to fight back and gets a Half Boston Crab on Arn as we get told the 5 minute period is over and the next participant can enter.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>End of 5 minute period</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Of course the heels wins the toin coss. Buck and Arn beat the crap out of Dustin with punches, stomps and kicks. Then they start to take Dustin’s arm out and then turn the focus to the knees with a Double Boston Crab.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/4J53Vil.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2yFDjJF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gif</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2msiRRt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/fCzbgxh.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The countdown is on and next in is Jerry Sags for Team Rhodes. Time again for a Nasty Clubberin'. Sags batters all of the heels to a huge pop. A lot of hard-hitting strikes from Sags that makes the match more like a shootfight than a pro wrestling match. Body Slam to Arn. Sags then slammed Buck back-first into the cage and then made Arn eat the cage which turns the table for Team Rhodes. A stiff and sloppy Piledriver from Sags on Buck and now it’s all Team Rhodes. OUCH! That Piledriver looked Nasty. What the hell was he thinking? Instead he picks up his left cowboy boot. Terry Funk gets inside the cage and he is nailing everyone with the cowboy boot. Buck and Arn double team Sags as Funk beats up Dustin right in front of Dusty. Arn holds Dustin so Funk can punch him in the chest. Funk is really enjoying to torture Dustin in front of Dusty. Heels get the big advantage and totally dismantle Sags and Dustin limb from limb. Funk climbs the cage, but gets caught up on the ropes and yet again the countdown is on. Arn and Buck beat down Dustin. Sags manages to out brawl Funk and hits a super botched Piledriver on Funk in between the rings and Funk falls underneath the rings. It looked real sloppy and super dangerous. YEE-OUCH! Sags practically killed Funk with that Piledriver.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/6pPIUbo.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/4J53Vil.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2yFDjJF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gif</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2msiRRt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/fCzbgxh.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/kB09eXt.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Next in is Brian Pillman! The heels immediately gang up on Pillman, but he goes all firery babyface on them and starts chucking them one by one into seperate sections of the cage with high-energy attacks. Sags is back up and helps Pillman cleaning house, and sending the members of the Stud Stable to the cage. Sags then raked Arn’s face against the steel, making "The Enforcer" bleed. Whenever the numbers are evened up, the faces control the ring. Jerry Sags destroyed The Stud Stable with some of the most vicious, brutish, sloppiest and stiffest strikes ever seen. The Nasties may be sloppy as hell, and more than a little dangerous, but they sure know how to brawl. Their ‘garbage’ brawl-style are very successful in these type of matches.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/6pPIUbo.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/4J53Vil.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2yFDjJF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gif</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2msiRRt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/fCzbgxh.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/kB09eXt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/KXezGWO.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> A perfect Spinebuster by Arn on Sags. The action is now in both rings as Buck starts to take his belt off. The time is up and next up is "Dirty" Dick Slater a dangerous badass and one of the most feared men in the business. Slater goes in and Dustin goes after him, but Slater beats up Dustin. Slater is a grizzled brawler and start to dishing out a punishing offense on the youngster Dustin.</p><p> </p><p> In the meantime Buck and Funk have belts and are whipping the members of Team Rhodes. The heels have gone back in control. Sags gets the cowboy boot, starts swinging and nails Buck right in the head. Funk whips Pillman with his belt. Dustin steals a belt and starts whipping Arn with it. Arn, Buck, Funk and Slater are dishing out a hell of a beating to Dustin, Jerry Sags and Brian Pillman. Team Rhodes are in need of a fresh man to even odds. Blood is staining the ring, the ropes, as well as the cage, making for great visuals as the match continues on. Crowd goes crazy with chants of “DUSTY! DUSTY! DUSTY! DUSTY! DUSTY!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/h8jlN0u.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/6pPIUbo.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/4J53Vil.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2yFDjJF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/45vggNh.gif</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2msiRRt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/fCzbgxh.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/kB09eXt.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/KXezGWO.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Time for the last member of Team Rhodes; here is "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and the fans are going insane for him. Now when all eight men finally have entered the cage, what is referred to as "The Match Beyond" begin. Both teams will brawl each other in the cage for as long as it takes until any member of either team submit, surrender, or is knocked out unconscious. There is no pinfalls, no count-outs, and no disqualifications. Dustin nails Funk with a sloppy Running Bulldog OUCH with a side of YEE-OUCH! Funk is in pain and can barely walk. That move almost looked botched?</p><p> </p><p> Dusty comes in and the heels have the advantage. Bunk is whipping Dustin with one of the belts. Dusty gets beat down briefly but then opens up on Arn, Buck and Slater, beating the hell out of them with Bionic Elbows. It’s Bionic Elbows galore until it comes down to Dusty and Crazy-as-hell-Texan Terry Funk. Dustin and Jerry Sags have the upper hand in the fight versus Arn and Buck. It's a hard-hitting slugfest between Dusty and Funk. Arn gets a Nasty Clubberin' followed by a Double DDT. Sags nails Buck with a Splash followed by sloppy Elbow Drop. Dustin starts whipping the heels to keep them away while, Dusty finally destroys Funk with Bionic Elbows and knocks him out with a stiff DDT. That's it! Terry Funk is knocked out. It's All Over. “Goddammit!” Heenan exclaimed. Colonel Parker cannot believe his eyes. I have plans for both these guys and to keep them separate from Flair and Hogan, so that WCW is "the alternative to WWF" and also offers high quality work-rate matches, Cactus Jack booked hardcore matches, battle of the underdogs matches and so on. I have plans for both these guys and to keep them separate from Flair and Hogan, so that WCW is "the alternative to WWF" and also offers high quality work-rate matches, Cactus Jack booked hardcore matches, battle of the underdogs matches and so on. I'm also really happy with the ratings for Angel vs. Vader; and Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne vs. Kevin Sullivan/One Man Gang that was brawl-based matches.</em></span></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Loved this PPV, really delivered here. </p><p> </p><p> Looks like you got lucky with that War Games Match. Loved this PPV, really delivered here.

Looks like you got lucky with that War Games Match. I have to think either Funk or Dusty would've been on steep Time Decline by this point, along with possibly Slater and maybe even Arn. I don't Hogan would've taken a pinfall loss in the real WCW -- even with heavy protection -- even for a legend like Flair. But that's the beautiful thing about TEW. Either way, he's going to be more over when he finally gets the strap.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Hopefully you will enjoy Halloween Havoc as well. The cards for the Clash and Starrcade isn't finished, but i'm really happy with how Halloween Havoc turned out. It might just be the best WCW PPV in 1994. Starrcade will have to deliver some classic matches to beat Havoc.

Yeah it looks like i was pretty lucky with the Wargames rating and yes it is brawl based. Actually Dusty is the only one in time decline. I hope that Arn have some years left in him before he hit time decline, because he has an important part to play in what will come.

So far it looks like both Funk and Slater are going strong, which is great since they are key players in ECW respective SMW. So i hope they have some time left before time decline.

I think that you might like the changes that will happen to The Stud Stable. A wind of change is coming. ;)

Well Ca$h i$ King and there is a larger income for Hogan (since he is a minority stock holder) if he keeps Flair strong instead of simply bury him. So without Evad and with Brother Bruti busy as The Booty Man, the "Hogan vs. Flair" storyline is hopefully going to be a bigger money-maker than in IRL and the mysterious masked man isn't going to be The Booty Man, so all fans don't have to worry about the Starrcade main event being ruined. :D

Hogan and/or the bookers just didn't have the foresight necessary to take advantage of the feud. </p><p> </p><p> If anything, Bischoff should've gone to Mondays once Hogan got on board in '94 -- maybe have him make his first appearance on WCW Nitro. He'd be the Y2J of 1994.</p>

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>According to inside sources Terry Taylor was brough before the WCW Wrestler's Court</strong>, accused of moaning about stuff all the time and bumming everyone else out. The judge, Vader, found him guilty and sentenced him to shut up or cheer up, and to buy drinks for everyone after the show.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Royce Gracie had to pull out of the UFC 3 PPV after one fight</strong>, which led to last-minute alternate Steve Jennum stepping in to the finals and winning the whole tournament with one victory. However, Kimo Leopoldo faced Royce Gracie and gave Gracie his toughest challenge yet and came out looking like the biggest star of the event even though he lost. Gracie ended up having to forfeit and drop out of the rest of the tournament after the fight.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The UFC has been heavily criticized and the event was almost pulled from PPV at the last minute due to concerns over the brutality</strong>. CNN has criticized the UFC as "human cock fighting" and experts says it's inevitable that there will be calls to ban it if it continues to gain popularity.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>It looks like Brian Knobbs will not be wrestling for a while</strong>, as the wrestler picked up a Torn Pectoral during the WCW Saturday Night tapings, and early reports are that it will sideline him from active competition for two months.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Naoki Sano and The Great Kabuki begain their first reign as IWGP World Tag Team champions</strong> last night, when they took the titles away from The Hell Raisers (Power Warrior and Road Warrior Hawk. The Hell Raisers managed seven successful title defences prior to this defeat.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Cornette was arrested for vandalism and destruction of property after using a baseball bat to smash all windows of the car of an ex-SMW office employee named K.C. O'Connor</strong>. Based on the financial amount of damages, the vandalism charge could be upgraded to a felony. O'Connor was fired by Cornette last month. Cornette apparently blamed O'Connor for much of SMW's recent negative publicity. O'Connor claimed he was still owed money and in the meantime, he had one of Cornette's video cameras. Cornette called asking for the camera back, but O'Connor said he wouldn't return it until Cornette paid him what he owed him. Cornette drove over to O'Connor's house and demanded his camera or else he'd smash up O'Connor's car with a baseball bat. O'Connor refused and Cornette started to smash the car with the baseball bat. He fled the scene before cops arrived, but turned himself in the next morning.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In an recent radio interview</strong>, sports journalist and professional wrestling historian Dave Meltzer said that "Monday Night Raw is the most overrated wrestling show I've ever seen. While some of Bret Hart's matches are excellent, the storylines, skits and majority of the matches are crap!" When asked on which wrestling show is the best, Meltzer's answer was "ECW Hardcore TV of course! Sabu, Chris Benoit, Ron Simmons and 2 Cold Scorpio are completely on fire each week!"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Joey Styles made some funny references on commentary this week</strong>. When 911 was beating up Doink The Clow on ECW Hardcore TV, Styles said, "One clown down, Bischoff and McMahon to follow." Later in the show, when Tommy Dreamer was screwed out of a match and Commissioner Tod Gordon came out to fix it, Styles said, "We have a real justice system in ECW. This isn't Long Island," which is of course a reference to McMahon beating the steroid case.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>According to inside sources also The Patriot was brough before the WCW Wrestler's Court</strong>. He was accused of failing to pick up his share of the tab on the shared rental car. The judge, Vader, found him guilty and sentenced him to pay the full cost and reimburse his travel partners.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roddy Piper is currently in Toronto filming a movie called Jungleground</strong>. In an interview he gave recently, he said that his match against Jerry Lawler at King of the Ring was just a one-time thing and that he's currently retired from wrestling. "It hurt so much afterward. I think I'm getting old. A man's got to know his limitations".</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hulk Hogan's and Eric Bischoff's constantly meddling between Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes</strong> seems to have worked and the duo now have no negative relationship at all.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AWF Total Eclipse report!</strong> The crowd in the Perani Arena & Event Center, Michigan saw former WCW jobber Randy Hogan and American Olympic and World Champion Freestyle wrestler Dave Schultz win the AWF Tag Team titles last night, when they won the match versus Colonel DeBeers and Morgus the Maniac to decide worthy champions for the previously vacant titles. Dave Schultz put in the star performance of the show. At the same event Dan Spivey claimed the AWF Heavyweight Championship defeating Bobby Fulton.</p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Terry Funk showed up unannounced at an indie show in California</strong> and had a wild brawl all over the building, destroying tables and chairs. The people who run the community center where the show was held were unaware Funk was part of the show and called the police who came and dispersed the crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jerry "The King" Lawler unmotivated?</strong> The USWA World Heavyweight champion and WWF main eventer is said to have been upset by recent online criticism on his physical appearance. Photos circulating last week showed that the 44 year old appears to have put on some weight, leading to remarks about him being "flabby".</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Abdullah the Butcher was badly burned in a match at a show last week</strong> when SMW wrestler Boo Bradley blew fire at him and it caught Abdullah's clothes on fire.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Michael "P.S." Hayes and Matt Borne are apparently "at war"</strong> according to inside sources, with a bitter hatred developing between the two.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Paul Bearer re-signing?</strong> The rumour mill is indicating that Paul Bearer is set to sign a contract extension to stay with WWF within the next two weeks. There had been heavy rumours that he was going to be allowed to leave, but the current feeling is that this was false, and he will be kept.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF In Your House report!</strong> World Wrestling Federation held WWF In You House last night in Halifax Metro Centre, and drew 11,680 fans. The feedback has been pretty good; people seem to have enjoyed the show. The star of the show was Owen Hart after his performance together with British Bulldog challenging The Smoking Gunns for the WWF World Tag Team titles. Despite the performance from Owen Hart, The Smoking Gunns managed to retain the titles. In the main event Bret Hart defeated The Barbarian to retain the WWF World Heavyweight title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>After a 9 year retirement, the original Tiger Mask, Satoru Sayama returned to the ring</strong> this week as Super Tiger at New Japan's NJPW Counterpunch Tour, in a dream match teaming with Wild Pegasus and Black Tiger against Koji Kanemoto, Love Machine and Akira Nogami.</p>

Just wondering, how do you keep things looking so authentic to the time frame? I've never done a diary before because all of my games start with a bunch of immediate changes that would be too much of a shock to the system for a decent diary...

So what i did before i started was putting some time in researching the era and then using the information and ideas to create my own WCW Timeline from 1994 until 2001 for the major happenings. For WCW there are plenty of good sites with reviews, recaps, alternative booking, things you didn't how, mistakes WCW did, how WCW should have been booked, Wrestling Observer and Insider Timeline that really helps setting some goals and aims.</p><p> </p><p> Some goals are that the starting storylines and especially the longest running ones like Angel vs Vader and Rhodes vs Studd Stable must be getting a lot of spotlight during 1994 and not just immediately ended. So while i will skip the cartoony Dungeon of Doom, there will be a "Alliance to End Hulkamania" angle with John Tenta and Jimmy Hart. I don't want to spoil to much of what to come, but 1995 might be "The Empire Strikes Back" in this WCW diary.</p><p> </p><p> Some examples of goals/restrictions i've set is:</p><p> </p><ul><li>That Alex Wright must be pushed and undefeated in 1994.<br /></li><li>The Steiners are not available for WCW until december in 1994, because of the non compete clause.<br /></li><li>Sid Vicious is still toxic, because of the incident with Arn.<br /></li><li>WCW is the alternative so there must be som "Battle of the Underdogs" Matches and not just squash matches.<br /></li><li>No Cruiserweight Division until 1995. Bischoff must have seen the When Worlds Collide event and then be taking a couple of months to set up his WCW Cruiserweight project.<br /></li><li>Bischoff is seing Europe as a important emerging market, so WCW is looking for European wrestlers to help establish WCW as the number one promotion in Europe. So European wrestlers like Frank Andersson and Dave Taylor are having to be booked strong.<br /></li></ul><p></p>

The jobber shocks DDP with some flashy high-flying offense and some energetic near falls. This kind of high-flying moves hasn't been seen in WCW since Brian Pillman and Justin Thunder Liger was tearing it up in the now defunct WCW Light Heavyweight Division. DDP gets irritated and starts cheating to stay in control of the match. In a bout that had flashy innovating wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Kid Flash in 5:24 by pinfall with a Diamond Bomb. Winning the match earned him a “10” on Diamond Doll’s scorecard.

I highly enjoyed Fall Brawl, it was probably the last "real" War Games match in real WCW because once Hogan started competing in them it became a cartoon brawl. The masked man made his presence felt, I'm fairly curious as to who it is because if it isn't Beefcake and since you're sticking very close to real life I'm gonna say it isn't going to be Hennig or Rude, then.... who is it? Is it gonna be the Iron Sheik, back for revenge after all these years? That he's attacking Sting now as well makes it less of a "Hogan angle" and more broad because there are a lot of guys who would dislike both of them. Maybe it's Randy Savage? Attacking our most cherished babyfaces would be something he would do. The possibilities are nearly endless.
