So I have a bit of a problem, my laptop has gone and died on me. Taking it to a friend later today to see if they can fix it. Like a fool I have not backed up the file anywhere else, so for right now the future of this save is up in the air :mad:

 

I have a couple more shows written up but obviously it isn't worth it if the save is dead.

 

Will update later with any news, but I'm not optimistic :(:(:(

Did it die while you were playing? If it didn't and the disk isn't damaged, you will probably be able to recover the save. Good luck :)

<p>Thank you both for the kind words. I've been looking back at the diary and realised I'm really not that far in. So I've decided that I think I'm going to start a new save and book everything exactly the same as I did and see if I can get us back to the same point we're at now. </p><p> </p><p>

It's a bit irritating because I was quite a long way ahead of this and I didn't have all of it written down anywhere outside of the game so I'll have to try and go back and work out my plans.</p><p> </p><p>

Give me about a week to get my new laptop delivered, get back to where we were and have a couple more shows written up and then posting will resume as normal. </p><p> </p><p>

Again, thanks so much for your kind words. They have really inspired me.</p>

<p><strong>Explanation/General stuff</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I know I said I'd be back a lot quicker than I was but it just really didn't work out that way. No excuses, but I'm still committed to this. I was going to say that this would be coming back, but I figured the best way to do it was jump straight in with a new show. </p><p> </p><p>

I also want to say a massive thank you to everyone that voted for my diary for RW Diary of the month, to see I had won that was pretty great so thanks a lot! </p><p> </p><p>

I wrote out the show and did all the graphics and stuff on my new laptop, but because the screen is so much smaller the settings of the laptop is like 250% zoomed or something crazy so when I tried to post this on there the preview post came up massive so I had to come back on my now working old laptop and post it, if anyone with any knowledge of resolutions and stuff can give me any advice about that it would be massive appreciated. </p><p> </p><p>

Anyway finally onto TEW stuff. So as I said my laptop died and I only just got it back, so while it was gone I restarted the save on my new laptop and have now caught up with where I was, but obviously there a few changes so I made a little list.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Change notes</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- Because I started with the most recent data and crammed shows in, nobody wanted to work with Dulce after her ... well everybody knows what she did, so I never signed her and instead just put other people in her place when necessary and any storyline plans I had with her are now dead.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kagetsu never got injured and I think she was just about recovered in game before it died so now she is back.</p><p> </p><p>

- Saraya Knight picked up a year long injury during her WC qualifying match. Kind of sucks but I didn't have a lot planned for her anyway as her time decline is massive at this point</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Diary Question</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Also I have one question I would like to ask regarding names. So before the old game died, I was negotiating with a WWE Wrestler who is a career WWE wrestler so she'd never been on the indies or had another name that she went with and I'm wondering if I signed someone like that what would you like to see me do with their names?</p><p> </p><p>

So like if I signed say Asuka I'd probably name her Kana, but say like just for example Dana Brooke should I use her WWE name, her real name or come up with one? The third option seems the least appealing simply because I'm awful with names but I'm interested in what people might think.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Glad to have you back. As for the names thing, what I usually do in my game is keep an old (established) name and tweak the other name. For example, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin became Alec Shelley and Chuck Sabin. Hope that helps.</em></p>

Or twist their real name a bit into a wrestler name. I was planning a diary that never happened, where I was going to have Charlotte wrestle as Ashley Flair.</p>

For the name of the WWE wrestler, I think real life name is a good way to go. With WWE so strict on trademarks, I don't think it would be realistic for them to wrestle under a name WWE owns.</p><p> </p><p>
