With Photobucket going crazy about 3rd party hosting, it's time I gave up trying to update my various side-ventures and admit GSW and Voeltzwagon's GSW Dynasty were a big part of what dragged me into TEW2016. Armed with lessons learned from my failed first attempt, a Road to Glory game that's spanned 14 in-game years by now and a brand new imgur account, it's high time to give Grimm SoCal Wrestling another spin.

For those of you who haven't followed the previous take, here's the breakdown

The show opened with veteran valet Nicole Kiss introducing herself as GSW's newest resident hotstuff after her departure from PSW. Adding a sexualized twist to her "Girl Next Door" gimmick, it was very well received from the rowdy fans and coupled with her wonderful improvising on the mic, it all made for a strong start to the show as she ran down the card backwards from the main event, ending with her announcing the opening match of the show and her brand new client, Omar.

Omar defeated Aces High in 15:29 by pinfall with a High Velocity Headbutt. Omar wins the GSW West Coast title.

The match was contested under standard GSW rules, meaning no countouts, no disqualifications, only possible endings are pinfall, submission or referee stoppage and apart from fire-arm usage, all weapons are considered legal. CJ Weston and Nicole Kiss did some good work at ringside riling up the fans and the presence of GSW's newest face was enough to ensure that Weston didn't have a chance to decidedly involve himself in the match. Whereas Aces High relied on strikes and weapons, the cruiserweight Omar based his offense on suplexes and high flying moves, showing an improvement in his Performance skills since his last match that rightfully earned him the big win and his first reign as GSW West Coast champion.

State Of Destruction defeated Brown Pride in 4:49 when Boneyard defeated LatiNoFear by pinfall with a Choke Slam. State Of Destruction make defence number 4 of their GSW Tag Team titles.

The next chapter in the war between State of Destruction and "La Raza" as Brown Pride and Mexico's Finest call themselves, this was a short but violent overbooked squash with a lot of things going on besides the mayhem itself. The scripting of the match was such to accentuate everyone's strengths and hide their weaknesses, something the reigning champions benefitted a lot from as the chaos hid their in-ring flaws. This kept fans engaged and prevented them from crapping all over the match, but it also underplayed the obvious improvement that Boneyard displayed in his Performance skills and MexiCain in his Rumble arsenal.

As soon as the match was over, Mexico's Finest rushed out to save his buddies from a beatdown, since State of Destruction didn't stop when the bell rang. Brown Pride were a little underwhelming in their selling, but the brawl between the three big monsters was enough to excite the fans and warrant the appearance of GSW's Commissioner of Violence, Big Magic.

Magic took turns addressing everybody, calling MexiCain "a cocky youngster way over his head" to hint at his new gimmick that fans took well to, but when he called Mexico's Finest "a stone cold killer with a homicide record" fans broke into a "this is bullsh*t" chant. The segment was rescued when Big Magic wrapped up his little speech by telling State of Destruction to look for a partner, because next month at GSW Anarchy, they will be fighting all three members of La Raza for the brand new GSW Top Crew titles.

Young hopeful meets tough veteran in what turned out to be a real Car Crash of a match. Not satisfied with the balls out high risk pace that killed both men's stamina, they went a step further by taking special big bumps. First it was Hard-1 stomping Fro's head through a cinder block and later on Fro hitting the veteran with his Inverted Piledriver "Sure Thing" finisher off the apron and through a table set up on the outside. Hard-1 sold that like his neck had snapped clean, showing some improvement in his selling skills and it's a miracle how both men came out of the match without legitimate injuries.

Manager Kandii around his arm, Busta Capp made his big entrance for the main event, gesturing he's ready to reclaim the GSW American title. This new "Man on a mission" gimmick would be further elaborated during the match through Busta's will to keep fighting and clearly the audience didn't seem to mind this little twist in his character.

Cali Slick defeated Busta Capp in 21:05 by pinfall with a Slick-Back after CJ Weston interfered. Cali Slick makes defence number 1 of his GSW American title.

Building on the story leading to this match as well as to emphasize Busta's new character twist, the two men took a slow build approach to their street fight title match, making full use of the absence of rules as well as the falls count anywhere stipulation to fight part of the bout in the stands, right in the fans' faces. Busta's fiery fighting style let him dominate the start of the match and he even powerbombed Slick through the bleacher seats but only got a two count as CJ Weston broke up the pin. Kandii had her share of inolvement too and given the chemistry she seems to have with Capp, she is expected to stay on his side for a lot more matches. The match ended with Slick bringing the fight back into the ring, where he showed a big improvement to his Technical and Performance skills as of late, leading up to the big finish of chokeslamming Capp through the announcers' table with his Slick-Back finisher to pin him over the splinters and win the match.

Omar defeated Babau in 14:41 by pinfall with a High Velocity Headbutt. Omar makes defence number 1 of his GSW West Coast title.

A shocking opener, as instead of the scheduled E-Soteric, the masked IPW employee Babau shows up to challenge for the title and raise a plethora of questions. Did E-Soteric no show? Did Babau beat him up to take his place? Is this all an elaborate scheme, given that E-Soteric is also an IPW alumni? Babau gets some heat from the audience and a serious IPW bashing from the announcers, but otherwise puts up a decent opener against fellow high flyer Omar, who pins him for his first title defense.

La Raza (Mexico's Finest & Brown Pride) vs State of Destruction & Raheem Stash

La Raza (LatiNoFear, MexiCain and Mexico's Finest) defeated Raheem Stash and State Of Destruction in in 9:45 when Mexico's Finest defeated Raheem Stash by pinfall with a Hard Time.

The match is held under the pretty self-explanatory "No Blood, No Pin" rules and with that stipulation and so many participants it's clear to see why it was mayhem. The chaos worked in the losing team's favor as it hid their terrible performance, though they had their bright spots such as Stash getting better at playing his character or Boneyard somehow putting up performance of the match. Mexico's Finest seems to have upped his brawling game and to their credit, both members of Brown Pride agreed to do a big spot where State of Destruction gave them double chokeslams through burning tables. MexiCain came out unscathed, but LatiNoFear reportedly sustained a Bruised Pectoral Muscle.

Two solid performers in a solid match, with Fro even showing improvement in his performance skills during the match. Deaf Touch switched from his bland wholesome gimmick into that of a street thug and fans' approval was unanimous as they embraced the new edgier version of Deaf Touch. A good back and forth brawl that could have gone either way, eventually ended with a lucky roll up.

The main event was a rematch from The Underground, but held in a cell to prevent interference from Kandii, CJ Weston or Aces High. Given the history between the two competitors, the prize on the line and the cage around them, it's no surprise this absolute car crash of a match was filled with big moves, weapon shots and a lot of slamming on the cage walls. At one point Busta Capp botched a shoulder breaker and reportedly separated Cali's shoulder, but that didn't stop the champion from putting up performance of the night as he really went through hell to retain.

Once the main event was over, Fro Sure came out to cut a masterful improvisational promo on Capp losing both title shots he got, saying it's time he moved over and let him fight Cali for the strap. Despite his beating, Capp had the breath to talk back, saying that just winning a bunch of matches doesn't make Fro a challenger, he'll have to go through him first. Fro accepted the challenge, saying he'll fight Capp next month at Beneath the City for the #1 contendership as Cali Slick nodded in approval in the background.

I'm unsure about this one but think the champs will retain.

GSW West Coast title match: Omar vs E-Soteric

You can do one of two things here, have E lose to show that IPW aren't a real threat or have him win to lend credence to the IPW 'Invasion' that I'm expecting. You're not Vince McMahon and I don't think your ego will influence your booking here.

As usual, Nicole Kiss played the role of hostess, running down the night's card in reverse order while fans drooled over her looks. Once again, the opening match would be her client and GSW West Coast champion Omar defending his title against the man he was normally supposed to face last month, E-Soteric.

E-Soteric came out with a mic in hand and a super hot woman around the other, which he introduced as "The African Goddess" Osiris. He then proceeded to cut a decent promo, saying he didn't miss last month's match because of some elaborate plot with Babau, but because he was all over Osiris. E-Soteric did a good job of not only hyping himself, but also getting Osiris and her Slut gimmick over, the only real drawback being that the woman's looks did draw attention away from what he was saying.

Omar clearly was the better wrestler in this bout and got a well deserved win, though E-Soteric obviously did everything he could. The former IPW wrestler showed an improvement in both his Performance skills and the way he plays his gimmick, not to mention his willingness to take a stunt bump on the announcers' table, but was ultimately held back by the fact that his brawling style felt awkward meshing with Omar's cruiserweight moves, as the two men had zero chemistry to the point where they are unlikely to fight each other again soon.

State Of Destruction defeated Dead Men Walking in a Club™ Rules match in 9:54 when Boneyard defeated Mobstar by pinfall with a Choke Slam. State Of Destruction make defence number 5 of their GSW Tag Team titles.

Given the champions' limitations, this match was yet again short, brutal and overbooked but it did its job of exciting fans with ultraviolent spots and made State of Destruction look dominant, even if BB Colossus was gasping for air by the end. Dead Men Walking lived up to their name when they both took stunt bumps for the finish of the match as the champions chokeslammed them through tables and even though he was limited by the chaotic nature of the bout, Mobstar still carried it by putting up the best performance out of the four men in the ring.

La Raza (LatiNoFear, MexiCain and Mexico's Finest) defeated Hard-1 and Long Beach Crew in 15:22 when Mexico's Finest defeated Hard-1 by pinfall with a Hard Time following botched interference by CJ Weston. Mexico's Finest and Brown Pride make defence number 1 of their GSW Top Crew titles.

Despite his good presence at ringside, CJ Weston proved fatal for his team as Hard-1 does not share the link CJ has with his clients, resulting in botched interference that led to the pinfall. Cali Slick carried the match even though his performance was somewhat limited in order to keep him strong and Aces High showcased some sharpened Rumble skills. On the winners' side, MexiCain won over the hearts of some fans as he might have been the worst man in his crew but he's clearly been working on his Performance skills and was the one who took the big (near) fall for his team when the Long Beach Crew hit him with their tag finisher on the ring steps.

As a breather between the action and violence, Fro Sure and Busta Capp took the time before their #1 contender match to engage in a rather entertaining freestyle rap battle. Fro rocked the mic and dropped some saucy rhymes to diss Busta and subtly flirt with the steaming hot Kandii, which in turn threw the veteran off his game and messed up his rhymes. Fans made sure to let everyone know Fro won the battle, but Busta looked like he might win the war when he attacked Fro to start the match on the offensive.

Fro Sure defeated Busta Capp in 14:35 by pinfall with a Sure Thing.

This match was an absolute Car Crash, as both men went all out for a chance to fight the champion for the GSW American title. Despite Fro Sure visibly tiring from the All Out pace of the bout, he was able to put up performance of the night, hit his finisher and beat Capp clean in a match that brought out the best of each performer. A hard fought victory for the new challenger and a loss with no shame for Capp, as the booking of the match played to his strengths and hid his weaknesses. Somehow, both wrestlers walked away from the crime scene without any serious injuries and already the streets are buzzing with the prospect of a Fro Sure vs Cali Slick title match.

According to the news, those men were dismissed as agitators paid by GSW and the company was publically bashed for using cheap tactics to hurt their opponents.

I seem to remember Fro being somewhat of a star last time out. I think that begins again here.

Fro and Cali are GSW's main draws, so a clash between them is inevitable. If nothing else, Busta Capp had his chances and failed, so now the champion needs a new contender to freshen things up.

La Raza for me. Gives them a shot in the arm as a credible stable going forward.

La Raza is pretty much the only stable so far and it makes sense for them to win over a tag team and a third guy, plus Cali would then be split between defending the two titles. My only real problem here is two thirds of La Raza have problems with the law and I got an owner goal that prevents hiring or extending contracts to such men, so I'm a little worried for their long term future. Besides, Brother Grimm is a man of little patience with a love of vetoing stuff.

I'm unsure about this one but think the champs will retain.

Again, both Dead Men Walking have law problems so I have my doubts about giving them a title run. State of Destruction have their issues, but I don't see any other team as a strong alternative to hold the belts right now.

You can do one of two things here, have E lose to show that IPW aren't a real threat or have him win to lend credence to the IPW 'Invasion' that I'm expecting. You're not Vince McMahon and I don't think your ego will influence your booking here.

I did the IPW invasion last time around and though it was a great storyline, I'd rather try something new this time. Babau's 3 moth contract won't be extended, he's got a job with SAISHO in Japan and I think I'd rather focus on a strong brawl/hardcore oriented roster instead of trying to build a high flyer division.

Cali Slick and Fro Sure opened the show, a departure from the recent tactic of having Nicole Kiss go through the card. This may in part be attributed to the fact that the opening match was not a West Coast title defense featuring her client Omar. The two men proceeded to trash talk each other while hyping up their main event title match for the GSW American championship, a strong start to the show with CJ Weston helping the usually silent and menacing Slick look good next to the fast-talking Fro Sure.

State Of Destruction defeated Drop Kix and Top Dolla in 10:10 when Boneyard defeated Top Dolla by pinfall with a Choke Slam. State Of Destruction make defence number 6 of their GSW Tag Team titles.

Another overbooked match, with the mayhem serving well in hiding how bad State of Destruction were doing in the ring. Despite the obese BB Colossus visibly tiring before the final bell, the defending tag team champions dominated their opponents, with Boneyard showing improvement in his performance skills. Drop Kix was the luckier of the two, showing some fighting spirit to come out of the match looking as strong as possible despite "only" put through a table. His partner on the other hand wasn't as lucky, despite showcasing improvement in both his aerial and performance skills; Top Dolla took a crazy dive from the arena's balcony to accentuate his new extremist persona, but landed hard on his ass to receive the fans' ridicule. The "white boy wigger" as they called him not only took the pin, he also struggled to walk away and was later rumored to have bruised his buttocks.

Despite being primarily a brawler, Gravedigga did some high flying of his own and was able to put up a decent match against Omar. Nicole Kiss at ringside did a good job in adding drama to the story told in the ring and riling fans in support of Omar, an achievement that shouldn't be overlooked given the GSW crowd's love for brawlers and psychopaths. The match seemed a little tailor-made to accentuate Gravedigga's strengths, possibly to make up for his loss and present him as a credible challenger but it didn't help that Omar botched a move and apparently injured his opponent's elbow before ending the match with the High Velocity Headbutt.

A true car crash of a match, Busta Capp and Mexico's Finest tore each other apart for almost fifteen minutes before Busta scored the pin. The two men made good use of the electrified steel cage as a weapon to up the violence levels, to the point where fans reported the smell of burning flesh was unbearable while Kandii's screams at ringside only added to the adrenaline and shock horror. While the booking of the match tried to play to the strengths of Mexico's Finest, this could be no squash match. Still, he looked good and even showcased sharp rumble skills but it was his stamina that did him in. The upside to that is that it made Capp look good, as Busta was having a really bad night to the point where it almost made his victory feel unjustified, were it not for the problems of Finest as well.

Surprisingly long for GSW standards, this bout between probably the two top figures of the company had fans on the edge of their seat from bell to bell, with big moves, weapons and brawling in the stands. The leaner Fro Sure pulled off an epic win despite obvious stamina issues and even displayed some improvement in his performance skills, though admittedly the style of the match favored the powerhouse Slick so it was no surprise the defending champion put up the performance of the night. CJ Weston did some good job at ringside, but even his assists were not enough to keep the strap on his client. Fro Sure took Weston out of the equasion with a Sure Thing piledriver, which in turn allowed him to fight Slick on equal terms and defeat him to claim the GSW American title.

In one of his rare appearances, GSW's Commissioner of Violence came out after the tag team champions State of Destruction had made their entrance to inform them and the audience that he had signed the team to finally end their reign as GSW tag team champions. The dominant duo stood tall and defiant in the middle of the ring, a strong start to the show that fired up the crowd as the two sides stared down at each other and excitement built as to who the new faces would be and if they would live up to the hype.

In a decent match, Hotline Miami defeated State Of Destruction in 6:17 when Richard the Rooster defeated BB Colossus by pinfall with a handful of tights. Hotline Miami win the GSW Tag Team titles.

Introduced as Hotline Miami, the team of Richard the Rooster and Tony the Tiger may have come out to the ring wearing silly animal masks, but they turned out to be far from a comedy act when they stormed the ring with baseball bats in hand and brought the fight to State of Destruction. The match was short, violent and overbooked, as is often the case when State of Destruction are in the ring, something that also tied into the tainted finish of the newcomers winning the tag titles fresh out of the gates. This sort of booking helped keep the two behemoths strong while presenting Hotline Miami as a credible team who despite a lukewarm reception to their gimmicks were able to put up a solid performance and come out of the match not just holding the titles but also having turned the initial impression of cartoonish characters into legitimately creepy bank robber types.

New faces continued to pour in as the show went on, with Carlos Barerra showing up in what is arguably a more suitable setting for his style than the CZCW land of masked daredevils. Osiris was wrapped around his arm, hungry for a taste of the new guy as she played up her slut gimmick of sleeping about. The brawler was able to showcase what he can do against Mexico's Finest despite ultimately taking the pin, but GSW fans didn't really seem to warm to him. Though his Street fighter gimmick wasn't exactly executed to perfection, part of the reaction may have to do with a crowd that was too burned out from the opening chaos to stay invested in the Car Crash that the two latinos put up.

As expected, the semi-main event was a quality match between two skilled competitors with a lot of chances for either to showcase what they can do. Fans were split in support of both men, but in the end it was Capp who connected with his finisher after a minor assist of Kandii who flashed her tits to stun Deaf Touch much to the fans' delight, a spot played up for laughs by the legitimately deaf-mute wrestler before he took the Mafia Kick for the loss.

Much like in the match that came before it, this was an even, open bout that allowed both competitors to put in their best performance and really felt like it could have gone either way. The in-ring action was so exciting and the wrestlers' charisma drew fans so much into the fight that the presence of CJ Weston at ringside was almost forgettable, an indication of Slick overgrowing his assistant, at least as far as matches are concerned since there are still questions about his ability to cut a solid promo on his own. The greatest testament to that was when the muscular heavyweight climbed the top turnbuckle to wow everyone with a decent attempt at a frog splash, a move Fro dodged before bouncing back to quickly roll up Slick for a lucky pin. Flying is certainly not Slick's strong point but the attempt was enough to win not just fans over but also Fro, who admitted he got lucky and praised Slick for the fight he put up, shaking his hand once the match was over to wrap up the show on a positive note.

Train will keep on rolling for another while yet.</div></blockquote> During the previous playthrough, I used to hate BB's 6 minute stamina and Boneyard being so green (also being unable to fire him due to Grimm blocking it) but now I've learned to book pop>perf companies a little better, in their case putting them in short overbooked squashes. With finances tight, I can't keep giving them squashes against jobbers while keeping more popular guys off screen, nor can I spend too much money on a lot of workers per show. I also can't pay 4 midcard or better guys for just a 6 minute match. This is a little shakeup as well as a chance to navigate a tough financial spot, so expect SoD to bounce back from this shocking loss.
