I think winning Tag Titles also helps boost it up, though not sure by how much. And popularity may or may not help as i have two teams i created that have had roughly same amount of matches, but one team was super over and had a tag title reign and the other didn't. The team that was over is around 36 right now (roughly a year teaming together) the other them is at about 24 (same amount of time, just no tag title run). Although in typing this just realized it was an alliance title so they did get more matches that way.

<p>Pretty sure being champions makes no difference. Why would it? </p><p> </p><p> According to Derek B, workers with lower levels of experience gain more experience for each match they tag together, then it slows to 1 point per match, then it drops again. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44107" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The game does however give 2 points of experience at low levels for working a tag match, and 1 for working a 6 man tag. This decreases to 1 and 0.5 in the mid range and then about half that at the higher range (I forget specific values) so The Revival should be in the medium bracket for sure, and close to High. It'll take them a long while to get to maximum (probably 2 more years) but the changes to low level tag experience help teams to get to the tag experience bonus more quickly, and the slowe gains higher up ensure that not too many teams make it all the way to the top. <p> </p><p> </p><p> 0-34: 17 tag matches (34 six man tags)</p><p> 34-67: 33 tag matches (66 six man tags)</p><p> 67-100: 66 tag matches (132 six man tags if gains were 0.25 per match, 103 if 0.3 per match, 165 if 0.2 per match)</p><p> </p><p> TOTAL: 116 regular tag matches, with probably 265 if it were all trios matches.</p><p> </p><p> Obviously it's a tough call to make in general when it comes to setting experience, but if you're going to set it using the same criteria as the game then that's a rough figure of how the game works it out. </p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

<p>I have a tag team in my WWF game, The Smokin' Gunns. I formed them myself as they weren't a team in the database I'm playing in November 1992. It's currently February 1993. They've had 14 two on two tag matches, 1 two on two on two, and 2 four on four matches.</p><p> </p><p>

According to Derek B's list, they should at least be at 28 tag experience. Yet, they're only at 22. Does them have bad chemistry together slow it down?</p>

  • 5 months later...

Sorry to revive this thread, but I was doing some testing and came up with the actual numbers here to generate experience, so I thought I would share.

For every match under 40.0% experience = +1.5% to team experience

For every match over 40.0% experience = +1 to team experience

You gain the same experience in tag-team (in whatever variation) or 6-man matches (only 3v3).

You need 87 matches that count toward experience to go from 0 to 100%.

27 @ +1.5% boost = 40.5%

60 @ +1% boost to get you to 100%

Matches that generate tag team experience

- 2 vs 2

- 2 vs 2 vs 2

- 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2

- 3 vs 3

Matches that DON'T generate tag team experience

- 3 vs 3 vs 3

- 4 vs 4

- 5 vs 5

<p>As a big proponent of tag wrestling, I love this.</p><p> </p><p>

As a side note, does anyone know if you can get a new tag chemistry from a 3 vs 3 match? I can't recall ever seeing one and if it's been proven that you still get a 2-person tag experience boost on a 3-man team, maybe I should also discover new chemistry?</p>

I guess you're right. People who team as a unit usually team together more often, which one would be doing in their booking anyway. It would be nice though if people teaming as a unit could bypass having their gimmicks compared to one another if they're non-generic.

<p>This is a useful thread, thanks all!</p><p> </p><p>

Does experience increase when a team is listed as inactive - either unit or individuals? I have Shawn Michaels, Diamond Studd and Vinnie Vegas working as a trio in my game, and I'm not sure if I'll benefit from Michaels/Studd and Michaels/Vegas being inactive teams in the DB.</p>
