3,130 packed into a sold-out Osaka Gymnasium for Night 9 of the <strong>Road to DESTRUCTION</strong>! Fans were reminded that Kazuchika Okada is arguably the best in the world as he capped off another great main event with a Rainmaker and a victory over BUSHI. Okada even got on the microphone after the match to send the fans home happy. Will he have a chance to do so at <strong>KING OF PRO-WRESTLING</strong>, or will Okada have to accept that "everything is evil"?</p><p> </p><p>

<p>DESTRUCTION in KOBE results!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/XaAsImx.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>DESTRUCTION in KOBE results!</strong></span></span><span style="color:#000000;"> by </span><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Dean</strong></span></span><span style="color:#000000;"> - </span><span style="color:#000000;"><em>9/24/17</em></span></div></p><p> </p><p> In what could become a frequent occurrence, Kenny Omega retained his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title by defeating Juice Robinson with the One-Winged Angel. Omega addressed the crowd afterwards and promised to be the star that will bring New Japan Pro-Wrestling onto the global stage, claiming he has already done more for NJPW's international expansion than Okada, Naito or Tanahashi. Omega bid the fans good bye and good night, and left Kobe World Hall standing tall.</p><p> </p><p> While Bullet Club closed the show, the feud between CHAOS and Los Ingobernables de Japón heated up throughout the night. While LIJ have consistently picked up wins over the <strong>Road to DESTRUCTION</strong> tour, CHAOS pushed back tonight as both Tomohiro Ishii and Will Ospreay emerged victorious. Ospreay's rivalry with Hiromu Takahashi continued, as they've traded wins back and forth over the course of the tour. A singles match between the two to blow off their feud is more than likely.</p><p> </p><p> The IWGP Tag Team Title once again changed hands, as Davey Boy Smith Jr. pinned Tanga Loa after an impressive Killer Bomb. War Machine did not back down after the match, and were never actually pinned in any of these 3 Way Tag Team matches. They certainly have the right to invoke their rematch clause sometime before the World Tag League at the end of the year.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, the mysterious vignettes showing a switchblade-wielding figure once again perplexed the fans in attendance. There are rumors swirling regarding who this could be, so it would not be surprising if this information leaked out to the public sooner rather than later.</p><p> </p><p> With only one singles title changing hands on this tour, the status quo in New Japan Pro-Wrestling has not been altered too much. With <strong>KING OF PRO-WRESTLING</strong> around the corner, are bigger changes in store or will the champions continue to assert their dominance? There's one stop before Sumo Hall, the <strong>NEW JAPAN ROAD - Ganbaro! UONUMA</strong> show on 10/7! Stay tuned as the cards for both of these shows should be released shortly.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><img src="</p><a href="http://i.imgur.com/Z0Gt7hB.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/Z0Gt7hB.jpg"</a> style="border: #D40D10 4px solid;" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:red;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>NJPW "DESTRUCTION in KOBE", 9/24/17</strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"> (PPV/NJPW World)</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Kobe World Hall</strong></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><strong> 10,000 fans</strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"> - Super No Vacancy</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Show rating</strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"> - </span><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>A</strong></span></span></div></p><p> </p><p> <div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"></p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/eJa5L5R.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/ulD7qKU.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/pbv7Erx.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/XOTNZfB.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/cGimpdm.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> <span style="color:#000000;">1. I originally thought they were going to go to GOD, then back to War Machine, then to KES. When War Machine retained in the first match, if my theory was correct, GOD would win the next match.</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> 9. IWGP US Heavyweight Title: Kenny Omega © vs. </span><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Juice Robinson</strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"> - Something is going on with their tag matches. If I'm not mistaken, Juice hasn't won a single tag encounter involving Omega, and that's just not how New Japan booking usually works. Either someone on the Bullet Club side is complaining about losing and Dean is trying to avoid morale issues, OR he's doing the "Challenger loses repeatedly, then wins a big upset victory." I'm wagering on the second, because I think Juice is a better fit for the US title, Kenny doesn't need it(not every upper-carder needs a belt), also Juice is actually American.</span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> Thanks for the comments. You were 100% spot on with the Tag Title switches, as I like all three teams to be honest, and really enjoy the occasional hot potato of a title just as much as super long reigns (just wait as I have some interesting plans for certain singles titles, to say the least).</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> As for Juice, I had him pick up 4 wins over the course of the tour, which I agree is probably on the low end. I just had a hard time finding a realistic fall guy on the Bullet Club side (I don't see GOD taking a ton of falls as they have to kept strong for the Tag Title scene). As for complaining about losing, I actually completely ignore those and cheat by floating the loser a bonus after the show. I have a good PPV deal in my game, so I can easily draw almost $1 million on a PPV at this point. </span><img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><span style="color:#000000;"> It isn't super realistic, but gives me some leeway when it comes to contracts and those bonuses. Thanks again for the feedback, always appreciated.</span></div></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/l3Mucxl.png</span></div><p></p><p></p>

Full cards for NEW JAPAN ROAD - Ganbaro! UONUMA 2017 and KING OF PRO-WRESTLING!

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";">Full cards for NEW JAPAN ROAD - Ganbaro! UONUMA 2017 and KING OF PRO-WRESTLING! by Dean - 9/25/17</div>

In addition to the double main event already confirmed for KING OF PRO-WRESTLING, the full card will also feature two huge matches in the Jr. Heavyweight division, as KUSHIDA defends his title against Tiger Mask while Hiromu Takahashi and Will Ospreay face off to determine the #1 contender to the championship. Meanwhile, Suzuki-gun will defend both Tag Team Titles as Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Taichi try to hold off Funky Future one more time, and the Killer Elite Squad take on War Machine. This will be the first time these teams square off two-on-two since September of 2015, when KES successfully defended their GHC Tag Team Title against War Machine in NOAH! Will history repeat itself or will War Machine recapture the titles they lost without ever being pinned?

The feud between CHAOS and Los Ingobernables de Japón will headline this show, as EVIL will challenge Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito defends his #1 Contendership against Tomohiro Ishii. While many think Okada vs. Naito is a foregone conclusion, EVIL and Ishii have both defeated their opponents in the G1, and have shown themselves more than capable on the Road to DESTRUCTION. Could we see an upset and a dramatic shift in what's planned for the Tokyo Dome? KING OF PRO-WRESTLING is live from Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan on 10/9!

NEW JAPAN ROAD - Ganbaro! UONUMA 2017 results!

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";">NEW JAPAN ROAD - Ganbaro! UONUMA 2017 results! by Dean - 10/7/17</div>

Tensions between CHAOS and Los Ingobernables de Japón boiled over at the Niigata Gymnasium earlier tonight, as the show ended in a massive six man brawl that spilled out of the ring and around the arena. An incredible match ended in controversy as Tetsuya Naito hit Will Ospreay with a low blow while the referee was distracted. EVIL capitalized, hitting Ospreay with the EVIL and scoring the pinfall. After the match, Okada and Ishii retaliated, brawling with LIJ while the bell rang countless times. Once the action spilled back in the ring, LIJ had the upper hand, and EVIL once again hit Okada with the Darkness Falls onto a pile of steel chairs. EVIL ended the show with a foot on Okada's chest while Naito cut his trademark post-match promo, ending as always with:

"Tranquillo! Assen na yo! EVIL, BUSHI, SANADA, Hiromu y Naito, nosotros Los Ingobernables de Japón!

CHAOS will have their hands full come KING OF PRO-WRESTLING, as LIJ wasn't the only faction to get into it with them. Beretta and Kenny Omega had some heated exchanges in their tag match and continued trash-talking after the bell. Beretta has scored numerous victories over Yujiro Takahashi and Chase Owens and has been a thorn in the side of Bullet Club since the Road to DESTRUCTION began. Is Kenny Omega going to be the next challenge for the new heavyweight?

Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be amazing if you threw all caution, common sense, and desire to get a good rating at Wrestle Kingdom to the wind and went with an Evil/Ishii main event at the Tokyo Dome, but I think the outcome of the last two matches are an inevitability.</p>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>KING OF PRO-WRESTLING results!</strong></span></span><span style="color:#000000;"> by </span><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Dean</strong></span></span><span style="color:#000000;"> - </span><span style="color:#000000;"><em>10/9/17</em></span></div></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KING OF PRO-WRESTLING</strong> was held in front of 13,000 fans at a sold out Sumo Hall and ended with another classic Kazuchika Okada title defense. Okada barely escaped tonight as champion, as EVIL's vicious offense pushed the champion to the limit. Even in defeat, EVIL looked just like the main event star many fans think he can become, and put on a Match of the Year quality bout. Okada successfully defended his title for the 8th time, and is now all but guaranteed to break Hiroshi Tanahashi's record of total combined days as IWGP Heavyweight Champion. On the morning of January 4th, 2018, Okada will have held the title for 1,359 combined days, one more than Hiroshi Tanahashi's current record of 1,358.</p><p> </p><p>

However, Tetsuya Naito is determined to stop this record at 1,359 days. He showed his determination by besting Tomohiro Ishii in a brutal match that was perhaps even better than any of their previous contests. Los Ingobernables de Japón were immensely successful tonight, as Naito wasn't the only member to win.</p><p> </p><p>

In the other big singles match, Hiromu Takahashi defeated Will Ospreay to solidify himself as the #1 Contender to the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title, which was successfully defended by KUSHIDA against Tiger Mask later in the night. After the title match, Hiromu made his way down to the ring to confront KUSHIDA once again. Their title bout will be the 5th singles match between the two, and each man has 2 wins.</p><p> </p><p>

Hiromu was not the only wrestler to issue a title challenge. After pinning Tama Tonga, Beretta got on the mic and challenged Kenny Omega for the United States Title! Beretta said that he wants to take on the best heavyweights Bullet Club has to offer, and that no one is better than Omega. After their six man tag match, Togi Makabe confronted Michael Elgin backstage, challenging him to a match for the NEVER Openweight Title. These two are more friendly rivals than enemies in opposite factions, so Elgin was more than willing to test his mettle against Makabe.</p><p> </p><p>

Suzuki-gun maintained their supremacy in the tag team division, as both Killer Elite Squad and Taichi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru retained their titles. KES will most likely go into the World Tag League as champions, while Taichi </p><p>

and Kanemaru will enter the Super Jr. Tag Tournament, which is the last item of note. After Taichi and Kanemaru retained the title, Rocky Romero came out to the ring and announced that he has not forgotten about Roppongi Vice's feud with Suzuki-gun. He proclaimed he is going to coach a new team, Roppongi 3K, and that they would be the first team in the Super Jr. Tag Tournament and the ones to win it all and defeat Suzuki-gun at Wrestle Kingdom 12!</p><p> </p><p>

The 8th ever <strong>LION'S GATE</strong> show was held at Shinjuku FACE earlier tonight, and saw the beginning of the Kotetsu Yamamoto Memorial 11th Young Lion Cup! Dormant since 2005, this round robin tournament will pit 6 of NJPW's top young lions against each other. Tonight's matches saw Hirai Kawato defeat Tetsuhiro Yagi, Katsuya Kitamura beat Ren Narita after a vicious Jackhammer, and Shota Umino pick up an upset win with a Horizontal Cradle on Tomoyuki Oka.</p><p> </p><p>

As with most <strong>LION'S GATE</strong> shows, this event saw some participation from outside wrestlers. AJPW's Koji Iwamoto, NEXTREAM (Naoya Nomura and Yuma Aoyagi), and DDT's Daiki Shimomura all had opportunities tonight, and all four impressed against veteran NJPW wrestlers.</p><p> </p><p>
