Taking Ronda Rousey whilst Asuka was on the board was probably an error in judgement given southside said he was going to have a joshi division - Ronda was likely to be there a few more rounds. </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That is fair. Here's my reasoning: Becky Lynch had gone already before I had picked the first woman for my roster, and I was not sure if others - like you - were also going to cherry pick your top women early on as well, knowing I'd be hogging them otherwise. And if that was the case, Rousey would have been a good fit in your company.</p><p> </p><p> At that point, I straight up picked the ones that I felt were crucial to my tv show the way I envisioned it, and Ronda was more important than Asuka. Both because I had a clearer idea how I want to use Rousey, but also because I think she is better for my product than Asuka is. She's quite a bit more popular in the US, she's a better promo, and if the game goes long, she's five years younger.</p><p> </p><p> But in hindsight, had I reversed their pick order, I probably would have gotten them both.</p>

mikemanwba
<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p> I wanted to create the best roster that a European Company could possible have, with a focus on the Main Event being Europeans rather than American imports, which is why the only WWE Main Eventers I drafted were European, with Slater, Breeze and Fandango coming in later as they will be lower down the card. Me and NoLegs decided from the start we were going to co-operate with our drafts and have an alliance in game, which is why I signed certain workers and left others. As I was drafting Ringkampf I thought "I could make a stable out of the top WWE guys", and that's when I had the idea to make a company based around stables. When I wasn't sure who I wanted to draft, or I didn't want to take certain talent yet, I drafted workers that I had the potential of trading with. I took Bate and Ishii with the knowledge that people would probably be willing to trade for them, but also that I would love to use them if they didn't get traded.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> Getting Cesaro first, I was scared that one of the American guys would take him early on and I wanted to make sure I would definitely get him, he's one of my favourite wrestlers of all time. I was also really excited to secure Tommy End, I know I also took him early, but he's so hot right now I didn't want to miss out on him. I was quite happy to get Baron Corbin in R28, although he isn't necessarily the best worker in the world, I think his Lone Wolf gimmick will work really well in a company where the only 2 workers not in stables are him and End. (sorry Dante)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> At first the Mystery Box, it definitely wasn't worth it imo, but I think I got a good deal out of Dr_Avalanche in exchange for it. I wish I'd managed to get WALTER but I think I managed to bail myself out by grabbing Rezar as a replacement. As soon as I remembered that my company would need commentators and announcers that spoke German I regretted signing Nigel McGuinness, but yet again I got a good trade for him. My main regret would probably be trading written contracted workers for PPA workers/draft picks but it's not the end of the world</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p> <em>Southside</em> - His first seven picks were the best he could have made, War Machine until I offered sexual favours in exchange for their contracts, also getting Suzuki and Liger so late in the draft</p><p> </p><p> <em>Dr Avalanche </em>- Getting Kairi Hojo away from the Japanese Feds</p><p> </p><p> <em>NoLegs</em> - Love this man's whole draft, possibly the best British/Irish company you could draft, with the exception of some guys that I ended up picking up that he can use through the alliance anyway</p><p> </p><p> <em>Uncrewed </em>- Probably getting Johnny Mundo , I don't know much about a lot of your roster, but he's a really solid pick up, Flamita R17 is good too</p><p> </p><p> <em>Larrikn</em> - WALTER, at first I didn't get it and it annoyed me because it ruined my Ringkampf plans, but he'd be such a good monster in Japan. You also picked up Juice the same round I was going to.</p><p> </p><p> <em>alpha2117</em> - Definitely getting the big boy Jeff Cobb at R28 and that WWE Network deal. At first I thought it was early, but hearing what others have said about wanting to get it, it worked out great</p><p> </p><p> <em>ME!</em> - Luke Harper R26, Breezango, Monkey Flip Express</p><p> </p><p> <em>Kijar</em> - His first 3 picks were great, getting Adam Cole BayBay on R15 and getting Tye Dillinger R27 (should have been R10 though)</p><p> </p><p> <em>Tardelli</em> - Much like southside his first 4 picks were the best he possibly could have made, who would have thought that someone would be able to take at the end of R3? Gargano and Ciampa so late, I was going to take these lads but passed out without leaving a list and when I woke up they'd gone. Also, the Crists at the end</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p> <em>Southside</em> - Cage, decent monster but there are better that you could have drafted for the round, especially since you don't seem to have a ready made tag team for him. Personally think you could have got a much better broadcast deal as well.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Dr_Avalanche</em> - I understand wanting a charismatic owner/personality but wasting your first pick on The Rock especially when you're a Women's company confuses me. Taking KC Cassidy when Jessie McKay had already gone, I feel the whole point of them is that they're a duo.</p><p> </p><p> <em>NoLegs</em> - I honestly don't see a bad pick, probably Billy Kirkwood? Personally don't like him and there could have been better choices</p><p> </p><p> <em>Uncrewed</em> - I know nothing about Mexico, maybe just that some of your later picks maybe don't have the global recognition that others do</p><p> </p><p> <em>Larrikn</em> - A lot of your picks are great, I just feel like you allowed Southside to get too many of the massive stars of NJPW, where you went AJPW and DG. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's like taking PWG and Impact guys when you could be taking WWE Main Eventers. I feel like you spent a lot of draft picks on mystery boxes that could probably have been used adding a few more names to your roster. Also, Eddie Kingston is a weird one</p><p> </p><p> <em>alpha2117</em> - Conor McGregor being a R1 draft pick in a wrestling draft. Personally don't think anyone else with the possible exception of NoLegs had any reason for taking McGregor, and that he could have waited. I also understand you wanted written deals, but you lost out on a lot of slots by trading PPA's for writtens. Also slightly confused why you seem to have a women's division that consists of 3 Australians and nothing else? (Unless I'm missing something)</p><p> </p><p> <em>ME!</em> - Nigel McGuinness</p><p> </p><p> <em>Kijar</em> - It's a really nice indie darling start, but I feel you perhaps could have taken some of the shield first? American Alpha so early is just bizarre. Interested with what you'll do with Doug Williams, Kojima and a Trent-less Romero. Saxton. Shannon Moore.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Tardelli</em> - Takahashi R6. Don't have anything against it, just want to see what you'll do with him. El Texano Jr and Daisuke Sasaki too. Not sure why half your roster are non in-ring performers but each to their own <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I had to google Trina Michaels and I'm wondering why you seem to have picked a pornstar as your 12th pick?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p> I'm just hoping me and NoLegs can consistently put on great shows across Europe with our shared talent, In your saves I'm hoping to see some great stable wars but I know the AI struggles with stables. Hoping to maybe pick up Dante and maybe Whiplash to group with Tommy End as Legion. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> List of some of the top Free Agents that I think went under the radar and didn't get drafted coming up soon.</p>

I figured I could get him in my game and Cage can just float in other's game as a big foreign monster.</p><p> </p><p> For Broadcast deals, my choice was basically to grad a global shown network over trying to patch together multiple TV deals for global coverage. Since my events are on the WWA Network (and a 2nd TV show there too) I wanted to make sure we could show everything to everyone. Don't underestimate YouTube as a Free Broadcaster growing pop like crazy as well, even at small broadcast settings.</p><p> </p><p> In my personal game, I will likely patch together global TV Commercial coverage and swap out the 2nd show with that. I thought grabbing a few extra workers was more important in the draft and with Mutoh/CIMA as owner/booker they are pretty aggressive in their business settings in the data so they should grab some more folks in everyone else's games as well.</p>

alpha2117
<p><strong>mikemanwba</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> alpha2117 - Conor McGregor being a R1 draft pick in a wrestling draft. (Unless I'm missing something)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> You are missing something.</p><p> </p><p> Okay in game Conor is set up as a wrestler and has pretty great stats for a person under 30. He is also massively popular. Your feds popularity depends on pop of your top 5 people. So taking McGregor gives me a young guy that I can build around as a figurehead who will hopefully be there for years to come without sacrificing any pop or star power. Take a look at his stats he's a stud. </p><p> </p><p> The only guy even close at that age is Okada (whose stats are even more insane) and with him I wasn't going to get him at 6 because of two Japanese feds in front of me.</p><p> </p><p> I lost a lot of meaningless slots for a few people who I couldn't get after the data is released. When the data is released there are going to be guys and girls galore on the unemployment line in the US. The AI playing R-RW and southsides womens feds are unlikely to go out hunting for many people. Southsides roster is full and so is R-RW. Which means the worker smorgasboard is open and it's time for WWA America to dine.</p><p> </p><p> Women - the number available who can work the US is staggering. If we use the Sept data as previously indicated it will be even more as some Mae Young girls are being added. Say I want to sex things up - Velvet Sky & Lizzy Valentine come on down. I want to go for a beast in ring - hello Lufisto. There's like over 219 choices which would have reduced to what 160 now. I can quite literally pick and choose the rest of my division at my leisure. I picked 3 girls just so I actually did have some girls straight away and Madison should never have fallen that far. Jessie is her protégé so that means she'll get some tips which will increase her development and Emma is above average technical skills and an 88 on sex appeal with a solid 66.5 star power, she's only 28 and in the 23rd round she's a steal given theres a womens fed in America hiring . Those 3 are a solid base to work from.</p><p> </p><p> Men - There are probably over 900 workers when you do a search. Now the cream has been taken but there are a heck of a lot of guys still just sitting there looking for work. Large parts of WWE , NXT, GFW, ROH and LU are available pretty much all of CHIKARA and other smaller feds. I can hire who I want.</p><p> </p><p> If I want to hire locals to job on my show I can get guys who are on WWE's main roster now hire them for one night and have them job. There will be so many names it's not funny.</p><p> </p><p> You were in a different region with very different post draft conditions. You have less than 300 male workers to choose from when the restrictions are turned on. Many of those were already taken so your choices post draft are limited. Which means you were better getting bodies in the draft. For me it was better to trade up and get the bods I wanted on written deals and then graze like a big fat hungry goat after data delivery.</p><p> </p><p> My last 5 guys picked were left field but filled a need. Aaron Henry is 24 and has some really good stats already hence why he's on NJPW's roster. Tama Williams is a little older but pairing two Maori guys together in a tag team made sense to me. Matt Basso is a legit big man with decent skills and star power and his brother is a solid all round hand and a perfect compliment in a tag team. Dean Brady is 21 with a real solid bunch of baseline stats. They were 5 guys I knew what to do with and I knew I couldn't hire once the restrictions are on. So I have 5 under 30 guys to work with. </p><p> </p><p> You needed to have a settled roster when the draft ended - for me the end of the draft is only the beginning in terms of building my roster. My strategy would have been problematic for you but for me it gave me a lot of flexibility.</p>

No that many guys who can work Europe proper which is why you needed to get those guys before Nolegs or any outsiders. </p><p> </p><p> Like I sad for me that isn't an issue. Tardelli, Kijar, Uncrewed and I all have huge buffet's to dine on post draft. Dr.A less so beign a womens fed but still a pretty impressive spread to fill out any holes. Nolegs has British Isles and there will still be a fair few choices left. Japan was a dogfight so the cream is gone but there will be a ton of Joshi girls for southside if he needs them - any remaining good guys might be snapped up early but since they both have large rosters it's more likely that they will be able to get those guys with little issue. It's actually really only you that has an intrinsically limited choice. I drafted in Australia last time out and knew straight up that was an issue for me. It's all good though. With your location you have an advantage in that NOBODY else is going to be going in there anytime soon so you have a free run to establish yourself for years before any major issues occur.</p>

Do you just want to remove December from this to make it work? You can actually set as many in a row as you like, as long as you do it in the pre-game editor. Once into a game, the 6 month limit is there, but it works fine if set in the data when the game starts. I helped out Fleisch with the Japanese schedules in his mod and it worked fine with having more than 6 months on. NJPW in the mod I think is set for July as only month off and still works fine.
