question about mods

Recommended Posts

Not quite sure where to put this, so I'll just post it here.

I am looking for a 1989 mod, as that is around the time I started watching wrestling. The closest thing I've been able to find is the 1991 Rising Storms mod.

My 2 questions are: Is there a 1989 mod that I am just missing?

The 1991 Rising Storms mod says to Download ModSquad Mods at WrestlingNexus. I have signed up but have not received a confirmation email. Do I have to download the mod from there, or can I download it from this site? Thanks.

With a little bit of searching, you may be able to find one and convert it, but it would naturally be missing many of the TEW 16 features. (I don't recall seeing one for TEW 13 but there was def. one for TEW 10--I think it was called "No Holds Barred").

That said, I have a January 1989 in development but it's nowhere close to completion. The WWF and WCW are basically done with groundwork for the AWA and USWA having been laid. Internationally, I haven't even scratched the surface, to say nothing of yet to debut workers, locations, etc.

So, in the best thing I would tell you is to look at the 1987 and 1991 mods--both are considered gold standards for historical mods by many GDS players. Both mods will require you to login to Wrestling Nexus. As for a login there, you need to get a hold of The Mod Squad guys. MrCreative is probably the guy you want to get in touch with.

So I'm in the same boat you are bud, as 89 was right when I started watching as well. I will say enjoy the 87 scenario much more than the 91 scenario. Not saying the 91 scenario is bad by any means, but I enjoy the building up from WMIII to 89 and the explosion of the Mega Powers while also building the mid and upper mid card a little differently than the WWF did at the time.
