All In The Family....right?

I could still see the image of my sister Catherine Quine on the cover of TEW wrestling alongside of Anne Stardust, Wanda Fish, & Suzue Katayama. Next to those icons of women wrestling at the time you would think that Catherine didn't belong but the writers of that article knew way back in 1996 that Catherine was eventually going to be come a legend in the women's wrestling world. Being ____ years at the time I didn't quite get what my sister did for a living but I knew I wanted to be right where she was, front and center, in all her glory.

My mother reminded me that I would dress up pillow cases and take it outside to our pool, when it didn't have water in it, and play "Wrestle-Time" all day till my heart gave out, always trying to emulate my favorite wrestler "Big Sister Cathy!". My mother said it was "Adorable", as images of my youth ran through my mind. Wow, these clothes I would wear......

Me and Catherine had different fathers. Our mother remarried shortly after when she had me and I could always smell the tension that was between my father and Catherine. My own relationship was a little bit strained with him. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my dad but you wouldn't be called crazy to assume I was more of a Momma's girl, if that term even exists. It was my father that would try to push me towards the more "girly" things when I was growing up while it was my mother who supported my sport hobbits. From soccer, baseball, field hockey, and of course wrestling.

On the outside we seemed like a happy family but like all families we had our issues and secrets.

My father was alcoholic.....

Catherine's father was an alcoholic.....

It was another thing that brought us closer together in a weird simpatico way.

There were nights when everything was fine. Father would come up where the tips of his lips would almost be touching the bottom of his ears because he was smiling so much. Other nights....well.....there were what I used to call

"Blackouts"....literally for him and my mother.....

During my teenage years, I was told the only way I could purse wrestling was when I got to my junior year in high school by my dad. I think he was secretly hoping that by that time this "wrestling thang" would be something I would grow out of. But how could I? when my sister was Catherine Quine who just as famous in these North West sections of the USA like some of the biggest wrestling stars in the world.

I remember when Cat took me out to Belly burger for a pre birthday dinner, just me and her, and she kept getting swamped by fans that wanted a picture, an autograph, or just a memory they could share when they are elderly with themselves or their grand children. That night specifically stuck out in my memory because of a small girl that after getting a picture with Catherine asked me a question.

"Can I get a picture of both of you?"

"Sure." I said, with a perplexed look on my face.

"I want a picture of both the Quine Sisters......."

That was the first time anybody had acknowledged me as the sister of Catherine Quine outside of family and friends. And to be honest.....it felt good

The day after I walked across the stage and received my diploma was the day I formally signed up for the Cat's Lair to begin my career as a wrestler......

I trained harder because I had to

I worked longer hours because I had to

Bleed more, sweated more, cried more

Because I couldn't let anyone know I was ONLY here because of my sister

And that's what everyone thought of course.

Especially Tracy Brendon and Michelle Brendon, the "Brendon Sisters". What started as little ribs on me in the locker room turned into what I could call mean girl nasty personal attacks. I could tell, especially from Tracy, that my status in AAA was not earned and given to me because I was Cat's "Favorite Cat" to play with. She also called me her lap dog as I was always seen around Cat backstage.

I couldn't help it...I wanted to soak in all the knowledge I could......How the marketing was done? Who was responsible for securing the building we would wrestle in? How a show was put together? What really REALLY popped the crowd? I was always knee deep into wrestling since I could remember but joining AAA made me a full on addict.

All I did was breath, sleep,and eat AAA.....

Though The Brendon Sisters did not like me I luckily had Suzanne Brazzle, Joanne Rodriguez, and Sara Marie York to guide me through graduating the Dojo and the first few years on the main roster. Things escalated between me and Tracy leading to a near fist fight backstage. The first was when Golden Delicious was released.

She was a protege of Cat who was deemed surplus to requirements in 2007 and let go. Tracy felt I was playing politics to get rid of her as she did botch a move that almost led to an injury to me but I had shrugged that off and told GD, "Hey, stuff like that happens all the time. Its the business we chose."

And the second was during my initial run as AAA Top Contender Champion when Tracy, who felt that the title should have went to Wendy Anderson.

Wendy had a remarkable story. She literally came in through the front door working as a receptionist, then applying for the Lair, graduating, and paying and earning her dues on the main roster.

"Its all just talk, Jaime." Wendy re assured me the night I pinned Gorgon for the title. "Look, I am what I am. A good hand in this company. I already fulfilled my dream. I got to the main roster and Im still here. Ill be here until Anne closes the door or we go bankrupt." Wendy said with a laugh.

"Tracy is just angling for a singles push......."

No Matter how much I tried to big up Wendy and tell her how she was right there neck and neck with me in the pecking order she wouldn't accept my platitudes. I loved Wendy for that. She was the true heart of this company and she became my best friend.

I slowly walked around the offices in a dreamlike trance, stopping to look at the posters on the wall of past events, pictures of great matches, special moments that this promotion had given the wrestling world, and stopped right in front of large almost goddess like picture of Catherine before entering her office.

Catherine paced around her office taking a seat and then jumping out of the seat. She was a nervous wreck. What had gotten her blood pressure so high

"The bomb has quit." Catherine finally blurted out.

"What do you mean Cherry quit? I she going to USPW? We are right in the middle of a red hot feud!?" I asked with my hands up in shock.

"No." Catherine said in a calmly voice, she lowered her hands to ground back and forth as to not get my blood pressure going. "She has quit as head Booker for the company."

"I think she knows.........I think they've told her".

I took a seat as if word were to get out just how in dire straights the company was all hell would probably break loose.The company was in debt and had to get its debts cleared and balance up to 350,000 in two years time or the company would close.

"We've talked about this Jaime. I need you in that position. Your ideas, though sometimes out there, are always sold and creative. I've talked to Cherry, you've been pretty much writing this current main event feud y'all two got going on."

"We gotta get the company's balance up and expand into new markets like I promised the investors.....you're the only I trust with the book and with the truth."

Sisters Always Watch Each Others Back....................................

The words hit me like a whirlwind and took my mind back to a cold December night in 2000 when my father had come home drunk. Cat was upstairs with me, it was our yearly James Bond marathon. James Bond movies were and are still my favorite movies and franchise.

Thats when he started going in on my mother.The ruckus was so loud that Cat had to go down stairs to once again break it up.....

But once i heard the shrieks.....i knew something went wrong....

I rushed down stairs and saw my father now lifeless with a pool of blood around his body, my mother shell shocked the corner, and my sister running towards me."

"Sisters always swatch each others back.....I need your help."

Of Course I Am In Catherine. I've been in since Day One!

With the keys to the kingdom I started to make as much moves has I could before the first card, Pretty Amazing, went down the Tuesday Janurary 3rd 2016,which was only a few days away.

Black Widow, was the first to receive her walking papers as I had always been at odds on how she laid out matches and she rubbed the girls in the back the wrong way. In came Vixxen, who I always thought was def. better than her in the ring and out. Though I never said that to her face.....and now wouldn't get the chance to.

Laura Flame,a black belt that was trained by the great Hell Monkey was always sent a contract to sign. Not only having those credentials, Ive seen her you tube videos and the girl has great charisma for her age and I can see def going far in the company.

Other moves Im sure people expected me to make had to be put on hold. One because I still had to get my fiances in order to meet the 350,000 goal and fully book the next show. I know I have my allies and i have people that want to see me fail.....though I will always put personal feelings to the side and do whats right for business......

"For all the A-List's bragging and perceived dominance its never been enough to hold the Dream Team down." Catherine stated. "And with Sara's Femme Fatale win over Demelza Wade back at Girls Night Out 2015, tensions only heightened between these two factions." Jim Lou Freebush added. "It all comes to a head tonight in our Main Event." Jim declared with great enthusiasm. "I've got my money on the Dream Team." Catherine said shaking her head yes. The announcers continue to run down the card and spill their thoughts about the #1 Contender Femme Fatale Triple Threat match between Jaime Quine, Cherry Bomb, & Steph Blake. "Jaime's issue with Cherry Bomb will continue in this match up by the X-Factor will be the mistress of the DDT, Steph Blake, who is looking to also get a shot at the Femme Fatale Champion." Jim Lou retorts. "Cherry Bomb has flat out said that the she will be the shield against false pretenders to the crown." Catherine added, scratching her head at the time. The camera cuts to Cherry Bomb sitting in a complete dark room, the only image of non-darkness is on her face which she is rubbing with her right hand. In the background we can hear the Jim Lou Freebush and Catherine Quine calling the end of her last match, the triple threat #1 contender match which she lost to Jaime Quine. Cherry laments Jaime's victory as a "One-Off", a "Fluke", and a "One time Lucky Hole In One Shot!". Cherry gets up and the lights start to flicker on...little by little...until they are fully on and in the background we see various pictures of Jaime Quine but the camera zooms in on one particular picture. Its a Bulls eye dart board with Jaime's face in the middle.

"I can be lucky too," Cherry starts laughing. "I can be really lucky."

She stands back and throws the dart and its a direct bulls eye shot. She turns to the camera and asks can Jaime be lucky again. Cherry doubts it and starts laughing.

She walks past the camera and it holds on the bulls-eye picture.

The show opens on the announce desk with our hosts, AAA lead announcer Jim Lou Freebush and Catherine Quine. They welcome everyone to the show and try to dissect the promo that they just watched featuring Cherry Bomb.

"Another....classic Cherry Bomb promo eh?" Jim Lou Freebush asks, trying to feign a laugh. "Cherry just has to accept that Jaime was the better wrestler on that day and won the match." Catherine points out to Jim. "But...she didn't pin Cherry Bomb though." Jim retorts. "Regardless, the match was the match and Jaime came out with the victory and a title shot tonight against America's Sweetheart, Sara Marie York!" Jim can tell Catherine is trying to change the subject, perhaps to not show potential bias that many believe she has. Before the match began, Tracy grabbed a mic and offered Christy Higgins a "Chance of a Lifetime", to be her protege. The crowd immediately booed at the idea and Christy gave Tracy a smirk, a smirk that gave off the vibe that Tracy was a "know-it-all" and didn't have anything to offer the young babyface. The lack of an answer and condescension from the crowd angered Tracy and she went off on how Christy is a loser and will always be a loser in this company.

"You've gone to being the Top Contender Champion to barely being mentioned at all. I'm already an AAA legend. I'm a Hall of Famer! Christy, girl....you could be great like me." Tracy responded.

Christy said she'll become Top Contender Champion again but till be through hard work, determination, the support of the AAA Fans.

Before Christy could get another word out Tracy attacked her and the match began. Tracy was a little taken a back has Christy Higgins made the encounter and very open match but eventually Tracy took control and nailed Christy with a Idaho Crunch to gain the victory in 9:34.

Introducing The New AAA General Manager

Jim Lou Freebush introduces the fans of AAA to their new General Manager, Hailey Hunter. The bubbly blonde hair woman comes out to a decent pop and makes sure she slaps hands with all the fans that will allow her to do so.

Hailey lets the fans knows that she is delighted to be in the AAA and that the AAA board of directors have made a great choice in her and she has big plans for the organization.

"One of those plans to continue to bring you fans the best women's wrestling on the planet but to also expand this company and make it into the national force I feel it can be. Because in this day and age GIRLS RUN THE WORLD!"

That comment draws a pop from the crowd and Hailey tells them that they will be holding their first event out of the Northwest Region in California next month, titled "California Dreaming I". She runs down the rest of the card to show off what her match making skills can be like. It is when she gets to the Tag Title Championship match when we hear familiar music.....

"That Tag Team Championship Title is missing a little something," Zoe chimes in. "Namely T.K.O."

Hailey suggest that they continue to win matches in the division and work their way up to the title match like The Good Lookin' Bunny, which draws a big pop from the crowd.

"That.....was the wrong answer." Steph exclaims while moving towards her.

In a decent match, T.K.O (Total Knockouts) defeated the makeshift team of Sarah Taylor and Lady Liberty in 9:53 when Zoe Ammis defeated Lady Liberty by pinfall with The 10.0. For a first time pairing Sarah And Lady Liberty showed decent cohesion but it was not enough to over Steph Blake and Zoe Ammis who continued to build momentum towards their goals in AAA.

"Of course it wouldn't be a horse, how could you sit on yourself?" JRO said, trying her hand at comedy.

Sara Marie takes the wheels of the promo and praises Jaime Quine while putting down Nadia Snow who is only in this match due to the shenanigans of their manager Cat Jemson. She promises to walk still AAA Femme Fatale Champion.

"And when that is done...the time will have finally come for us." Sara says, turning her head to her tag team partner." For us to go one on one."

J-RO agrees and the camera fades to black,

The Devil's Daughter and Simony Sentinel entered the rin to battle to prove their standing within the AAA's ranking, while Simony put up a good fight nailing Double D with a variety of high flying maneuvers, Double D claimed the victory via submission with the Going down below, albeit with a small assist from her loaded "Devil's handbook", which she used after a referee bump).

Though she has more experience than Talia Quinzel, Wendy was still dwarfed by the 6'2 in height brawler. But Wendy is in a quest to become the Top Contender Champion again and showed no fear in facing her opponent, taking the fight right to Talia. Though Wendy was able to catch a few near falls on the Champion, Talia came out victorious with the help of Selina Svelte, who nailed her in the back with a steel chair. Talia Quinzel defeated Wendy Anderson in 9:46 by pinfall with a Spinal Trauma following interference from Selina Svelte.

AAA Tag Team Champions are always known to talk a "big game", but there has always been their #1 rival chomping at the bit to bring the sometimes over confident duo down a peg. The Good Lookin' Bunny, and once again they gave them a run for their money in this tag team championship match.

The self proclaimed "Best Tag team On Planet Earth" manage to escape multiple near falls with Katherine Goodlooks hitting a Pretty Fly on Debbie Rose for a 2.95 which drew the crowd to their feet as they tried to urge on the fan favorites.

However The Delicate Flowers once again came out on top of thanks to a timely "Thorn" on Jessica Bunny for the pinfall in 11:43

After the contest, The Good Lookin Bunny received a standing ovation with Katherine Goodlooks trying to cheer up her tag team partner Jessica Bunny who looked crestfallen after taking the pin. After a few tries, Jessica finally shook her head yes and the GLB hit the turnbuckles to salute their fans.

The camera cuts to Suzanne Brazzle who is in the middle of the ring with a mice in hand and two red seats with a big sign reading "Miracle Connection" in big yellow lights. She introduces fans to the first edition of the Miracle Connection in 2016, "The first of many to come", and its first guest. "The Submission Princess" Paige Croft

and the five feet of madness walks out to the ring. Of course, Paige Croft is not smiling, not slapping hands with the fans, though they are cheering for her loudly. Some would say she is not even "feeling" anything in her body right now.

"Perhaps Rage..." Jim asks Catherine as they discussed Paige's demeanor.

Suzanne discuss Paige's recent return from injury from an attack that she still doesn't know who was responsible for. She calls the attacker a coward and something she sees in a lot of the women back in the locker room.

"Of course the only way they were gonna stop me was to put me on the shelf but I am back now and better than ever and I'm going to turn this place upside down." Paige deadpans to Suzanne.

Suzzane shakes her head yes, almost begrudgingly. She then goes into the rumors that Paige came back from injury too soon and questions her decision.

"Some would say you might be putting your career at risk?" Suzanne asks Paige.

"Rumors are just that Brazzle. Bullshit. I deal with facts and you saw me at the last event. Did I look any slower? Did I look any less crisp? I was on point like I always am."

The crowd cheer and Suzanne cant argue with that.

"But I am here to put certain people back there on notice." Paige points her finger towards the dressing room. She then unveils her HIT LIST.

"I'm coming after each and everyone one of these ladies. Since no one wants to admit what they did and face me in this ring.....then all suspects are guilty in Paige Croft's Court!" Paige screams. "They're gonna need a miracle from the blonde miracle ICON Suzzane to survive me."

The crowd then begin to chant "Miracle ICON" for Suzanne. The wildly veteran is so beloved that her catchphrase starts to drown out the interview.

Tracy Brendon's theme music rings out and she walks out to a chorus of boos which she smirks off and microphone in hand. She takes umbridge with Paige Croft and the fans labeling Suzanne Brazzle a "miracle" let alone an "ICON". She blasts the fans

"I am the true ICON here in AAA.....yet you cheer these two."

The crowd cheer and the two baby faces stand back and prepare for what Tracy possibly has in store for them. Tracy insults Paige Croft and her "hit list" and lets her know that shes not scared to stomp out the "little red ant" weather she is on that list of hers or not.

"You're not right in the head girlfriend.....and you know it." Tracy says, pointing at Paige while getting in the ring slowly.

Paige takes a deep breath and tells Tracy to come fix whats ever wrong with her "head". Tracy takes a moment and then charges at Paige but Croft ducks, this the ropes and clotheslines Tracy out to the floor.

Suzanne lifts Paige's hand in the air and Paige allows that to happen.....but only for a moment but yanking her hand away and squaring up for Tracy to attack again but Tracy doesn't and retreats to the back holding her jaw.

The A-List Are Ready To Show Their Supremacy

Demelza goes up against J-RO and Nadia Snow has a chance to become AAA Femme Fatale Champion for the first time in her career. While Nadia and Cat are literally buzzing at the prospect Demelza on the other hand doesn't seem so "enthused". Nadia reassures her Best friend.

"If one of us wins....we both win Demelza. We're The A-List. We're ICONIC. And this win will make it that."

Demelza exhales and then hugs her best friend which draws in Cat who also hugs them both.

"When you won the Femme Fatale Championship Demelza, who was right there by your side. Me.....now I need the same".

"Tonight, we end the Dream Team's........dreams." Cat laughs as the camera fades to black.

After last week's tag team battle, you could say that both competitors were out to prove that they were the "top dog" in their respective duos to beat, and that seemed to be the case for Demelza Wade. Throughout the bout, Joanne and Demelza took the fight to each other. When one would get the upper hand, the other would break out a counter and then take control on several occasions.

Joanne's resilience led to Wade's mean streak coming out, has she pummeled JRO with vicious chops, right hands, and even stepped on her hair while Cat distracted the ref. In the midst of Wade's offense, JRO was able to get the drop on her opponent and hit her with a J-Rocker! Out of Nowhere! to win this battle cleanly in 15:18 by pinfall

Sara Marie York faced off against two of AAA's younger stars who were looking for the first taste of AAA Femme Fatale Championship gold. Jaime Quine, def. seeking to prove herself that she can continue to hang with AAA's best after she won her last battle against Cherry Bomb and Steph Blake, thought some (Cherry Bomb) was calling it a fluke. All three superstars seemed to be evenly matched at the outset of this battle, neither woman able to gain the upper hand.

York, after sending Quine to the outside, grabbed hold of a headlock and slowed the bout down to a methodical pace, working over Snow. Snow finally slipped out sent the AAA Champion reeling with a dropkick before taking control with a headlock of her own. York bounced back and started to unleash on Snow with a series of chops and chain wrestling maneuvers, Still, Snow could not be deterred, and with Cat Jemson cheering her on, and of course aiding her fought back.

While both Snow and York had fought to the outside, Jaime Quine landed a flashy moonsault to the outside of the ring on both women which drew the crowd to their feet. She rolled the champion into the ring and only got a 2 count though.

The match continued and realizing that it was always going to take more than usual to put away Sara Marie York and Jaime Quine, Cat Jemson sprung into action but she botched her attempt nail Sara Marie York with a foreign object and Sara crushed Snow with a Energy Burst to win the match in 17:37. Sara Marie York makes defence number 4 of her AAA Femme Fatale title.

After the match the camera cut to Nadia confronting Cat Jemson asking her what the hell she was doing out there to which Cat had no reply too. Sara also shook hands with Jaime Quine, who once again, proved she has what it takes to be amongst the elite in AAA.

I had no desire to get into it with Tracy and tell her that this was just the start and that she was wrestling in a building that has hosted many famous wrestling events in the area. I knew that would go straight over her big head.

It was a funny drawing of the Brendon Sisters. That cheered me and Suzanne up who had crept up behind us and started laughing hysterically. Suzanne had the kind of laugh that made you want to start laughing even if you did not get the joke at all.

Before we all left the building J-RO stopped me in entrance way. The doors to get into the building was flanked by two giant snakes. Joanne asked me if I rubbed the tails of the snakes.

Joanne told me that that I should really, really consider pushing Simony Sentinel. Simony, while she didn't come through our Dojo, was a girl that Joanne saw on indy shows while she was touring the north east. Catherine brought her in on the strength of J-ROs word and Simony has impressed in the short time she has been here.

The O-Jay's "For the love of money" rang through my head as I sat in the AAA offices. The last day of month was our audit day. It was going to be the days I hated. January went well as we made a profit.....but February....

Catherine said with a heavy tinge of disappointment in her voice.

I explained to Catherine that doing shows outside of our comfort bubble was going to be tough and that we might take some losses while we expand the promotion. But, it was going to be a necessary measure if we were ever going to go that next level.

It didn't help my cause that I promised Cat that we were going to sell out the Snake Pit. I over estimated our popularity in the area as we only pulled in 650 fans. A number that was nothing to sneeze at, considering it was our first show, but wasn't what we where hoping for.

I totally forgot about this. Yes the ending here with this cliffhanger was like the TV series Soap being cancelled with all their character cliffhangers.
