Issue with Locker Room Incident

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty stumped on this one.

I just got a backstage incident where the clique of Hogan, Knobbs, and Jimmy Hart physically attacked Ric Flair backstage. My decision was to suspend all parties (:eek: yes, I chose to suspend Hollywood Hogan). So I get the notification that Hart and Hogan will start their suspension following the show. Then I get the notification that I can't suspend Brian Knobbs because he's not signed to a written deal. It then kicks me back out to the screen to choose my course of action.

My question is;

Are Hogan and Hart still suspended and I just have to choose what to do with Knobbs, or do I have to choose my decision all over again? It would be pretty damn unfortunate to choose the "Fire" method thinking it's just for Knobbs when I could potentially be firing Hogan....Something I definitely do not want to do. I'm at a standstill in my game with this because I don't know what method is for who.

Secondly; It's pretty silly that you can't suspend someone under a PPA deal. I get that you could outright fire them, but sometimes that isn't what I want to do, especially when my only other options would be a slap on the wrist, warning, or nothing. If you're wanting to suspend someone, I feel what they've done is far above just fining them but not quite to the point of firing. What consequence is there if you just choose not to use them? They still get paid their downside. Or, like in a situation like I have, I want to suspend two guys but then another guy only would get a warning?

I can't answer your question because I've never been in this situation myself, but "It's pretty silly that you can't suspend someone under a PPA deal.", no it's not actually. Because the whole point of suspension is that they will not get paid for that time. Someone in a PPA deal won't get paid regardless if they don't work. Realistically speaking, if they got suspended from your company, they could just go work somewhere else for the time being and it would not affect them in the slightest.

You could fine them and then fire Brian Knobbs after the show.

They get paid their downside for the month if they don't make that amount of money, so that's not entirely accurate that they don't get paid regardless. It would ensure that they don't make that money from you because they're being punished. They could go work elsewhere anyway under a PPA deal and that's fine, but that other company they could go work for wouldn't be punishing them.

I know I could do that, but that isn't really the course of action I want to take. I don't want to because it could really jack up their behavior and their reactions. Flair could get pissed if he doesn't agree with just fining them. This could result in Flair's friends getting pissed for the "light" punishment. Hogan, Knobbs, and Hart's behavior could get worse because the punishment is "too light." Additionally, since it wouldn't be recognized as part of the incident, firing Knobbs afterwards wouldn't help and would only cause Hogan's morale to drop because they're friends.

I'd like to get Adam's take on this and what I need to do. Hopefully he happens to glance over this thread.

Just make a copy of your game and see what happens.

<p>So after messing around with it a bit, I've found that I can suspend Jimmy Hart and Hulk Hogan. If I then choose the option to fine them, they all three get fined and then Hogan and Hart start their suspensions after I run the show. So in addition to getting suspended, Hart and Hogan are fined. Knobbs only receives one punishment and is fined.</p><p> </p><p>

This makes Flair unhappy with my decision because it's "soft."</p><p> </p><p>

If I first choose the suspension option, Hart and Hogan are suspended and nothing happens to Knobbs. If I then choose the option to fire, all three men are fired immediately.</p><p> </p><p>

Either way, I think this may need addressed in the next patch. If you're going to have incidents regarding cliques, there needs to be a way to manage them all. Either separate the punishments or handling, or allow all the options for all involved.</p>
