WMMA 5 modder roll call

Recommended Posts

I think I'm going to attempt to create a mod based around the Summer of 2005 (TUF 1) or March of 2007 (Purchase of Pride). Both eras would be fun to play with and I've had a ton of fun playing a historical mod on TEW, so I think this project will be a worthwhile one.

I am making a mature rated mod that's been in progress since WMMA3. It's gigantic (character wise) though and is taking a very long time to do all by myself. Doesn't help that I'm busy with work. But it is being made and that's the main thing.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Glad to see people are working on things. I'm currently working to get a team based effort for a rw mod. So far so good. I have another side project that I'm doing on my own that will be cool if I have time to finish it, but I'm keeping it a secret until it drops. I'm hoping it's ready shortly after the game's full release. Also the 2009 Real World Community Mod will drop the day the game comes out.

Often you can use one version as a base for everything else. Stats could be changed at will, but I would work together on the base (stat matrices, debut dates, non-UFC fighter presence, etc) and when that is solid enough go your separate ways and make the necessary adjustments (fighter records!, stat (d)evolutions, retirements, etc). You'll have to pass the master file from one another as a hot potato as I found it's very hard to import parts of the work. "Refreshing" fighters by deleting them and importing them back in breaks several aspects of the database so try to avoid this.</p>

<p>Present.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm releasing a mod this weekend that I will continue to update througb WMMA5. It starts in 2008 to cover the Affliction, EliteXC, Strikeforce era.</p><p> </p><p>

If one night tournaments come back, I'd love to do a UFC 1 mod. Else I might do a like a 2002 Pride vs UFC mod.</p>

<p>To be honest, one of the things I'm working on is a DC Mod. I'm just not so sure about how it would work in WMMA.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm also working on a fantasy timeline starting in 2000 with fighters from different sports and eras debuting together. So, you could have a tournament with Rickson Gracie, Mitsuyo Maeda, Jigoro Kano and Mike Tyson. Something like that.</p>

loving all these different mods, i generally play one game and just download other mods and then import into that game, so this is great news <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Some info about my all-female mod, called <em>The Womanly Art</em>:</p><p> </p><p>

I plan to have major promotions in the following areas:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><ul><li> America: Women's Combat League (WCL) - Unified Rules Set<br /></li><li> Japan: Kumite Fighting Championships (KUMITE) - Pride Rules Set<br /></li><li> Canada: Northstar Fighting Championships (NORTHSTAR) - Unified Rules Set<br /></li><li> Brazil: Conquista Vale Tudo (CONQUISTA) - Vale Tudo Rules Set<br /></li><li> UK: Triumph Cage Fighting (TRIUMPH) - Unified Rules Set<br /></li><li> Europe: European Fight League (EFL) - Unified Rules Set<br /></li><li> Asia: Angelfist Fighting Championships (ANGELFIST) - Shoot Fighting Rules<br /></li><li> Russia: Amazonka Boi Zadacha (ABZ) - Unified Rules Set</li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p>

The major promotions in my mod have six weight classes from Atomweight to Lightweight.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I also plan to have outlaw promotions in the following areas:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><ul><li> America: Gladiatrix Fights (GLADIATRIX) - Catfight Rules Set<br /></li><li> Asia: Dynasty Combat (DYNASTY) - Catfight Rules Set<br /></li><li> Russia: Braun Kvins (BK) - Catfight Rules Set</li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p>

The outlaw promotions in my mod have one open weight class.</p><p> </p><p>

I plan to release a 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015 versions of the mod. The mod timeline however begins in January 1980, and I been playing with the master version of the mod in order to build the history from 1980 to 1995.</p>

The date is fixed on january. As far as new features go, we’ll find out in the coming weeks. But i think it’s safe to start working on mods already using the wmma4 editor. I’d just postpone gfx work in case it changes.</p>

As a follow up, for those modders working on stuff like portraits, logos, and banners make sure you first save it as a PNG file in case Adam uses something other than GIF (portraits) and JPG (logos and banners) for the graphics. That way you can simply convert it to whatever non PNG file format Adam decides for the graphics.

I'm far from sure though. We do know the sizes of the images remains the same.</p>

You can restrict a gym to a particular weight class, but you can't set limits on the amount. You also can't restrict according to country, as all fighters of the continent will be members.</p>

And I had to overlap my nationalities example anyone who was from Gambia was set to an "Ivorian" nationality. Haha yep had to get creative</p>
