thadian
Can someone post tutorial (non-video please!!) of how to make logos, belts, etc. I am working on my own mod and the only thing I struggle with is the visual art aspect of it. My laptop isn't good enough to use DAZ, but it's good enough to use a few PS knockoffs (GIMP and OepnCanvas6). I don't even know where to get started but I want more than a background with basic text. How boring. I am at the "know less than jon snow" level, but I am very much able to figure things out and put it together (just not with video, my home environment is NOT conducive to watching videos). I don't want to request any belts or logos or anything and my understanding is that we're very strongly discouraged, so discouraged that while there isn't a rule disallowing it, there may as well be; and I have a handfull of promotions to do, a few broadcasters, each promotion has several events, a few weekly tv shows, etc. This is something I need to do myself. thadian
I will need to render from scratch entirely, I am making my own verse. More like a mini-verse that can be ported into any other verse. But, I must have my own content. I intend to release this at some point, and don't want my pictures and images to just be a mish mosh of belts from this mod, wrestlers from that mod, black/white boring "BATTLEBRAWL" and "BRAWL KING" etc.
WillyWillyWilly
ever tried to use flamingtext.com ? it is good to starting with.
Azul
Is it difficult to put the initials of a company on a title belt someone already created? I tried using Paint that obviously didn't work.
OGpistolpete
If you wish to have high-quality graphics for your mod you are better off requesting it be done by someone else. People who make this kind of stuff have at the very least months, if not years of experience in high-level software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Don't feel bad about asking, just be respectful and grateful. Everyone does this stuff in their free time so they enjoy doing it.
Devine_Limits
<p>ya man, always but id love to contribute as well, doing title belts is like peering into the abyss for me... i'm just getting cutting people down path to a degree.... just gotta try and figure this out ive done one so far but would love the advice how to do 'em perfect....</p><p> </p><p> so many amazing artists on here when it comes to cutting -- it's insane.... i do like a certain style of cuts and backgrounds (my opinion, my likes) but i would never downgrade someones hard work because it isn't my taste (you know)... <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
hbkb9
When a new company spawns, I definitely head over to flamingtexts and just fiddle until I find something decent. That's about the length of my creativity.

Tyler Gadzinski
<p>Personally, I use Paintshop Pro, they always have a 30 day free trial on their site, and then retail cost is $100 for the ultimate edition. </p><p> </p><p> If I wanted to use Adobe, I'd have to upgrade my computer big time. PSP is very user friendly, and just takes time watching tutorials, reading the community forums on the program sites, etc. </p><p> </p><p> My best advice, if you're looking for high-end graphics, throw a request out there, and in the mean time, spend a couple hours (or set a cut limit, like 3 cuts) a day, and practice, practice, practice. It's always good to practice and improve. </p><p> </p><p> GIMP is a very common free program that people use, I started with it, and have no woes with it, it just limited me to certain things I wanted to do with posters and other graphics that I was doing outside of these forums. </p><p> </p><p> Good Luck!</p>

Tyler Gadzinski
<p>You probably won't find many non-video tutorials, I know I've googled a few and they were videos, and written out step by step, but there wasn't many of the latter. </p><p> </p><p> There might be better help on the software's community forums. </p><p> </p><p> If you don't mind me asking, what software do you have?</p>
southside_hitmen
I use paint.net for all my logos and belts. It's free and the layer tool in it is essential for belt making.
