Patron will say that it is for that very reason that they have formed an alliance, adding that their circumstances may be worlds apart - but when it comes to Impact Wrestling - they all share the same goal.</div></blockquote> Video Package: Coming out of the opening sequence, we will go straight to a video package promoting tonight’s Main Event for the Impact World Championship. Going one on one with Johnny Impact, Eli Drake will take his rematch, owed following his defeat at Bound For Glory. As well as the issues between the two competitors, we will see the added element of Alberto El Patron and LAX, who appear intent on making their presence known and their impact felt on tonight’s Main Event match. Promoting tonight’s show, Jeremy Borash and Josh Matthews will put over the fact that things are “heating up” in Impact Wrestling. This will lead to a discussion about Ethan Carter’s questionable actions last week, reaction to which will be heard when James Storm is interviewed later in the night. Following the match, an impressed Williams and Dutt offered a handshake to the duo, which we will see being rejected by Everett & Konley. Going back to last week, we will see Williams and Dutt saving Matt Sydal from a planned attack from Everett, Konley and Trevor Lee, which they followed by offering advice to the arrogant, young trio. Coming out of the footage, Jeremy Borash will point out the dismissive demeanor of the young athletes, suggesting there is a lot they could learn from two “pioneers” of the X Division. Matthews will disagree, saying that Dutt and Williams have no right to tell people not to act the way that they acted in their younger days. When the victorious Storm offered Carter a beer, the defeated Carter declined, throwing the beer to the ground. As tensions rose, stemming from Carter’s frustration at the dissolution of “Team Impact”, Eddie Edwards joined them in the ring, looking to play peacemaker. However, when Eddie Edwards’ back was turned, Carter grabbed him from behind, hitting him with a One Percenter. At a loss to explain his actions, we will see the smug look on Carter’s face following the cowardly attack. Out of the video package, the commentators will talk about the incident, with Borash questioning what Ethan’s issue with Eddie could have been. Annoyed with Storm for obvious reasons, neither man can come up with a reason why Ethan Carter turned his back on Eddie Edwards, who appeared willing to remain an ally of Ethan Carter. In fact, Storm will say that he doesn’t get the confusion, Ethan was just being Ethan. James Storm will say that Carter is a selfish, egotistical sociopath and draw parallels between the surprise from his betrayal, to that of someone who would pick up a scorpion and then wonder why they got stung. James Storm will say that he never trusted Ethan Carter, and he only teamed with him for the good of Impact Wrestling. Ethan will say that he wanted to take Team Impact forward, adding his belief that James Storm “turned his back” on the company that made him. This will anger James Storm, and Ethan Carter will hide behind the interviewer. Carter will try to continue talking, only for Storm to rip the microphone out of his hand. Storm will say that he isn’t here to listen to Carter’s delusions, he wants to kick Carter’s ass! Storm will add that he is going to go into the ring, and if Ethan wants to take the issue any further, then he is more than welcome to join him. James Storm will give the microphone back, before marching down to the ring. When in the ring, Storm will sit on the middle rope, inviting Ethan Carter down. While Ethan will make his way down the entranceway, when Storm tells him to bring it on, Carter will walk up the Steel Steps but stop. Addressing Storm once more, Ethan Carter will say that he refuses to share a ring with an “Impact hating turncoat” like James Storm. Parks will say that this whole thing has been a test for Grado, because he knows there’s a monster inside of him. Grado will sigh, making it clear that he has zero self-confidence, but won’t be given a chance to reply. Instead, Joseph Parks will inform him that he has a rematch against Kongo Kong, and Parks will demand more from Grado, or else he may have to give his brother a call!</div></blockquote> Vignette: A short series of clips will show several of DJ Z’s most impressive moves. There will also be footage of their previous matches, where the dominant Lashley has always found a way to come out on top. This will be followed by more footage of Lashley’s complete dominance of Impact Wrestling with highlights including his short time as World Heavyweight, King of the Mountain and X Division Champion. The impression given from the video package will be that Lashley is a unstoppable force, who has done everything there is to do in Impact. Lashley will then inform the audience that as of the 5th of November 2017 - and his match at Bound For Glory - he had completed his contractual obligations to Impact Wrestling. The only reason that he appeared on Impact three weeks ago is because he wanted to publicly announce his future plans. Not because he owes the fans or Impact Wrestling anything, but because he knows that wrestling fans love rumours. Lashley will put all the gossip to bed, saying that when he arrived at the building three weeks ago, he was offered a new, lucrative multi-year contract to remain with Impact Wrestling. Lashley will say that it’s nothing against this company, but he has no interest in continuing his Impact career. He will add that while he’s completed his scheduled dates with the company, he is still technically under contract until January 1st 2018. Lashley will say that after that date, he will be completely free to sign whatever he wants. The one thing Lashley knows is that he will not be resigning with Impact Wrestling, as he confirms tonight will be his final appearance with the company. Lashley will say that he has nothing left to achieve in the six-sided ring, and as a man with his strengths, his talents and his ambition, he is putting a stop to any speculation of “one more match” with Moose, confirming his departure from Impact Wrestling. As Lashley leaves the ring, the commentators will speak about the former “Triple Crown” winner. A one sided affair, Amber Nova will display a little bit of arrogance, looking to make her name off Kim. Video Package: Beginning with the finish to the Carter/Storm match, where Storm defeated Carter with a Last Call, the footage will then show the post-match argument between the two men, after Carter refused to take a beer from Storm. When Eddie Edwards came out to play peacemaker, Ethan Carter dropped him on his head with a One Percenter, leaving him out cold in the ring. The package will then show last week’s incident, where Ethan Carter interrupted an interview with James Storm, to call the Impact Original a “turncoat” and a “traitor”. This led to Storm inviting Carter to the ring for a fight, which Carter denied by claiming he would not share the ring with an “Impact hating turncoat”. Carter will say that he would never try to downplay the achievements of his former partners, but the way they have acted recently is “indefensible”. Carter will then say that he has a lot to get off his chest, and to be even allowed to be here right now - enacting his first amendment right - Ethan had to give something up. Carter will say that he didn’t think that was how things worked in Impact Wrestling, but to ensure that he wouldn’t be attacked or interrupted tonight, he had to agree to face Eddie Edwards next week. Ethan Carter will say that he was forced to agree to those “terror-like tactics” from Eddie Edwards and James Storm, but their agreement means that he can get everything he needs to say off his mind. With that, a smirk grows across his face. Carter will then explain that Team Impact wasn’t just a name to him, and it wasn’t something to throw away like James Storm did. Carter will say that Team Impact represented three vastly different guys coming together, to defend the company they all loved. Ethan Carter will ask “is that so wrong?” Carter will say that instead of that, James Storm saw it as a temporary necessity, in order to save his own skin. “But defending Impact Wrestling isn’t a one time deal… I’ve been protecting this company for 4 damn years!” Ethan Carter will then say that James Storm was open about his treacherous nature, but the reason he took Edwards out is because he is a “coward”. Carter will say that Eddie Edwards was just as ready to turn his back on this company as anybody else, but instead he let James Storm do his dirty work. Carter will say that both of them are exactly the same, adding that if they don’t want to be part of his team, then they are “enemies of Impact“. Carter will say that with enemies as cunning and talented as he knows they both are, it falls to him - as his duty as the last bastion of the true values of Impact Wrestling - to build the defence against the enemy within. Eli stood shoulder to shoulder with the man who defeated him for the Impact World Championship at Bound For Glory, clearing the ring of LAX. Having been targeted by the group the week before, it appeared Eli Drake was out for revenge, with his exact motive unclear to Johnny Impact. Thought inconceivable this time last week, Eli Drake and Johnny Impact will team on this week’s show, facing the Tag Team Champions Ortiz & Santana in non-title action. The night’s Main Event will see a vastly different scenario play out, with two former friends going one on one, as Eddie Edwards faces Ethan Carter. Having defended Impact Wrestling as part of “Team Impact” at Bound For Glory, Ethan Carter struggled to move on from his partnership with Eddie Edwards and James Storm. This resulted in a match between Ethan Carter and James Storm, the aftermath of which saw Ethan Carter takes his frustrations out on the “peacemaker” Eddie Edwards. Declaring both men as “enemies of Impact”, Ethan Carter has vowed to rebuild Team Impact in his own image, defending the company from the “turncoats” who he once called partners. Also featuring on this episode will be one of the final matches of Gail Kim, who will defend the Knockouts Championship, ahead of her retirement at the end of the year. Her opponent will be Taya Valkyrie, who has made huge steps in her first few months in Impact Wrestling. This match will present her biggest challenge yet, against the standard bearer of the Knockouts Division. Having bent the rules to the fullest, Borash will call this a hollow victory, as Ethan Carter shouts at the top of his voice towards James Storm, saying “you hate Impact!”</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Carter will then look to hit his finishing move, only for James Storm to climb onto the apron. This will distract the referee, and Ethan will drop Eddie Edwards, confronting James Storm on the apron. Having been moments from defeat, Eddie Edwards will roll Ethan Carter up, following the momentum through while keeping hold of Carter’s ankle. Locking in the Ankle Lock, in the middle of the ring, Eddie Edwards will cause Ethan Carter to panic, desperately reaching for the ropes. Eddie will however drag him back into the middle of the ring, “grapevining” the leg of Ethan Carter. This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling is all about opportunity, with four matches that all have far reaching consequences for the competitors involved. None more so than the night’s Main Event, as Johnny Impact defends his Impact World Championship against Alberto El Patron and Eli Drake. Having appeared in the audience at Bound For Glory, Alberto El Patron has since made it mission to regain the Impact World Championship that he never lost. Believing that he was unfairly treated, the last two months have seen El Patron form an alliance with LAX, after he claimed that Konnan was the only man to reach out to him when he was suspended from Impact Wrestling, and stripped of the title. Since getting involved in Eli Drake’s rematch three weeks ago, LAX have had to deal with a united front from Eli Drake and Johnny Impact, one which will undoubtedly dissolve when the match gets under way.

Elsewhere, two Number One Contendership matches will take place, as shots at LAX and Gail Kim’s Championships are on the line. The Knockouts match also takes on added importance, as the winner of that match will not only become Number One Contender, but will be the woman granted the right to face Gail Kim in her last ever match. Having stated her desire to retire with the Championship that she has held more than any other competitor in company history, Gail’s final opponent will receive a huge opportunity on next week’s show.

Away from the competitive side of the things, Grado must fight this week for an “opportunity” to stay in his adopted country, with the spectre of deportation hanging over his head. Under more pressure than ever, Grado must impress Joseph Parks in this match, who has demanded a “cutting edge” to be shown by the man who he believes has a “monster inside him”.

It also broke earlier this week that having heard Moose’s “final plea” last week, where he was questioned as a man and as a father, Lashley will provide a video link-up, responding to Moose’s challenge. With speculation mounting, and time running out, Lashley tonight has the chance to crush Moose’s dream of “one final match”, or hand the man he controversial defeated at Bound For Glory a golden opportunity.
