Throughout the match, it will be noted that Johnny Impact is still suffering from an arm injury, sustained against Alberto El Patron last month. Using various weapons to compliment their styles, the physical feats of athleticism performed by Johnny Impact will be met with the hard-hitting, gritty approach of Homicide. This will result in a highly competitive match, where Homicide will often look in control, until Impact manages to turn the tables.</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The finish to the match will come when the two men look to return to the ring. With Johnny Impact entering the ring first, Homicide will follow, but stop on the apron. When Impact looks to hurry Homicide, the LAX original will swing a Steel Pipe at Impact - the weapon used to take Johnny out last week. However, Impact’s impressive reaction times will see him catch the Steel Pipe, which he will use to drag Homicide back in the ring. Now without his weapon, Homicide will come at Johnny Impact, who will duck out of the way. Reversing the assault from last week, Johnny Impact will use the Pipe like a Baseball Bat, swinging it into the back of Homicide’s leg. This will cause the LAX veteran to fall to the mat, in perfect position to be hit with the Impact Elbow. They will then send over to the back, where Johnny Impact will give his reaction to the match he had just competed in. Both Allie and Braxton will be skeptical, with Braxton particularly making it clear that he doesn’t trust Velez. However, when Ivelisse Velez says that Allie will someday have to learn to stop hiding behind her man, Allie will be prompted to ask Braxton Sutter to leave. When the two stand alone in the ring, Velez will take control of the situation, telling Allie that she has her right now, and she’s ready to listen - Velez will then challenge Allie by asking “what you got?” This will make Allie nervous, with her previously more assertive demeanor taking a momentary back seat. However, she will pluck up the courage to tell Ivelisse Velez how she feels. Allie will talk about the fact that Ivelisse Velez won the Knockouts Championship on her first night in Impact Wrestling, and how she was given an opportunity that many women have to fight for years to even come close to. Allie will say that the disrespect shown to a legend of their division is exactly the reason why Ivelisse doesn’t deserve to hold the title. Allie will add that she isn’t saying that Ivelisse isn’t a worthy Knockout, nor is she questioning her ability. Allie’s issue has always been with how she took her opportunity. This will lead to Allie recapping the threats of violence towards Gail Kim’s husband Robert Irvine, and how they were used to force Gail Kim into accepting one more match on her retirement night. Allie will say that a woman as iconic and inspirational as Gail Kim deserved to go out with dignity, instead she was left to rot in the middle of the ring. This will bring Allie to her boyfriend Braxton Sutter, and the way that they have both been treated for daring to stand up to LAX. Allie will say that she is afraid of what they might do to him, but she has never let fear stop her before. Allie will then tell Ivelisse Velez that the reason she wanted Velez out here tonight, is to officially challenge her to a Knockouts Championship match! Having listened to everything Allie had to say, Velez will be rather dismissive, simply telling her “I’ll think about it…” before leaving the ring and heading back towards the LAX entranceway. While Dutt and Williams enjoy a spell of dominance, the commentators will explain the rivalry to the viewers, focussing on Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt’s belief that they are the guardians of a “Golden Era” in the history of the X Division, which will never be repeated. Fighting against this, DJ Z will come back into the match and eventually bring Dezmond Xavier into the contest. From here, Dezmond Xavier and DJ Z will look to take control of the match, only to be stopped in their tracks by the emergence of Tyson Dux. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="QTBWNpR.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QTBWNpR.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Distracting DJ Z, Tyson Dux will make his way down to the ring. Stopping at the bottom of the ramp, Dux’s presence won’t disrupt the match too much, and DJ Z will continue to build momentum. However, when Williams and Dezmond Xavier get heated on the outside, the referee’s distraction will allow Dux to spring into action. First Dux will throw Xavier into the Guardrail, before following up by pushing DJ Z off the top rope. He will then enter the ring, hitting DJ Z with a Lariat from behind that hands the victory to The Gatekeepers. Tyson Dux will then brush past Bailey, going to leave the ring. However, before he exits, Tyson will turn back and hit Mike Bailey with a Lariat which sends him to the mat. Tyson Dux will then lay some boots in Bailey as he attempts to get back to his feet. After a while, Bailey will be allowed to return to his feet, only to be hit with a High Knee to the back of the neck by Tyson Dux. This will send Mike Bailey crashing into the ropes, and when he rebounds back, Tyson Dux will hit him with a vicious Lariat to the back of the head. This will send him crashing into the mat, landing completely out cold in the ring. As Mike Bailey lays motionless in the ring, the commentators will put over the viciousness of the assault from Tyson Dux, who appears to have aligned himself with The Gatekeepers, after handing them the victory in their match with Dezmond Xavier & DJ Z.</div></blockquote> Coming back from the break, the commentators will discuss the violent actions of Tyson Dux, claiming that he “nearly took Bailey’s head off”. Moving on, it will be made clear that the violence isn’t set to end any time soon, as the next match will be a No DQ match! This will lead into the introduction of a video package. Video Package: Recapping the rivalry between Crazzy Steve & Rosemary and KM & Sienna, footage will show the early interactions between the two sides, where the former members of Decay consistently got the better of KM & Sienna. This resulted in a change of approach from the family duo, who began to use more cunning tactics to get the better of their opponent. This worked for a while, but has now led to a Mixed Tag Team match - where anything goes! Going for a Powerbomb, KM will look to take Crazzy Steve out completely. However, before KM can release his opponent, Crazzy Steve will grab his neck. Sacrificing his own body, Crazzy Steve will use his momentum to send both men crashing into the Barbed Wire Board, effectively taking them both out of the equation. Back in the ring, Sienna will look to hit Rosemary with a Superplex, but also find herself unable to complete the move. Fighting out of the corner, Rosemary will be able to slip out and drop to the mat. She will then be able to grab Sienna on the second rope and carry her over to the Table. However, before that can get underway, they will introduce footage from last week. Video Package: With footage playing from last week, where James Storm was found out cold in the back, the commentators will explain the fact that Ethan Carter could not have been directly involved in the attack. Clips will then be shown from the Main Event match between Carter and Storm, where Storm’s injury drastically lowered his chances of coming out victorious. Because of that James Storm isn’t out here to call anybody out, he’s here with a warning. James Storm will add that while Ethan Carter couldn’t have been physically involved in the attacks, he isn’t ruling him out of having played a part. After all, Carter was the one man who had the most to gain from the attack. James Storm will then say that his warning is pretty simple, and it goes out to everybody in the back. Storm will tell the Impact Wrestling locker room that he will find out who is responsible for costing him his opportunity, and he has a message for that person - as well as anybody who tries to come between him and the perpetrator. The reason that the stakes are so high in the match will be covered in an extensive video package. Comparing them as two former Impact World Champions, their paths to the title will be contrasted, before the specifics of their rivalry is detailed. ”The Contenders”

Following last week’s huge “Hard Justice” special episode, Impact Wrestling returns with another packed show - emanating from Chicago, Illinois. Coming out of his victory over Homicide in a Street Fight, the injury hit Johnny Impact will once again step into the ring, this time against Moose. Having been told that the only way either man would get a shot at Impact World Champion, Alberto El Patron, would be to face off against each other, Moose pushed for the match to take place - with management announcing it as this week’s Main Event.

Elsewhere, former World Tag Team Champions (Ortiz & Santana) will take their rematch, three weeks after losing their titles to Pro-Wrestling NOAH representatives Katsuhiko Nakajima & Naomichi Marufuji. There will also be two huge Knockouts matches, as the recently returned Taya Valkyrie faces off against Rosemary, and Allie gets a Championship match against Ivelisse Velez. Having drawn the wrath of LAX, as a result of speaking out against their treatment of Gail Kim and her husband Robert Irvine, Allie will be up against it as she looks to secure her first Impact Knockouts Championship. Adding to her troubles will be what happened last week, when her boyfriend Braxton Sutter was taken “hostage” by LAX. Sutter has not been seen since, but Allie will have to put this to the back of her mind if she is to become the new Impact Knockouts Championship.

Konnan will add that the “white mafia” might think that their decisions go unnoticed, but this time they have made a huge mistake. This will lead them to talk about the upcoming Impact Knockouts Championship match, before they introduce a cohesive video package of how we reached this point. Video Package: Heading back to the first Impact Wrestling of 2018, footage will show the retirement speech of then Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. Having declared her intention to retire at the end of 2017, Gail Kim was set to vacate the Championship, when she was confronted by LAX. Coerced into defending her Championship, under threat of violence to her husband Robert Irvine (who was at ringside to support his wife), Gail Kim was forced to face the debuting Ivelisse Velez. Given no time to prepare, Gail was defeated by Ivelisse, who became the new Knockouts Champion. While much of the Knockouts Division were scared into silence, one woman stood up for Gail Kim above all others. A fellow Canadian, Allie had often spoken of Gail Kim as an “inspiration”, and was disgusted by the actions of LAX. Standing up (and being taken down) when nobody else would, Allie was eventually joined by her boyfriend Braxton Sutter, who vowed to have her back every step of the way. However, Braxton’s involvement only made things worse for Allie, particularly after he was recently “abducted” by the renegade group. Having not seen her boyfriend for over a week, Allie will have a lot on her mind going into the already difficult challenge of Knockouts Champion Ivelisse Velez. Konnan will tell her to be patient, smirking as he repeats that everything will come clear soon. Tied together with by his wrists and ankles, Braxton Sutter will attempt to get free. This will result in Ortiz & Santana yanking back on his arms, causing him discomfort. Shouting out to Konnan, Allie will tell him to get this over with, asking what they want from her. Instead of Konnan, Ivelisse Velez will answer this question with just two words. “Lay down.” Allie will take a moment to register what she has said, initially looking offended, before reluctantly accepting what has to be done. Braxton Sutter will call out for her not to do it, shaking his head despite his dire condition. Looking at Ivelisse Velez, then back to Braxton on the outside, Allie will sigh. Drake will tell Storm to think logically, asking him who had the most to gain from attacking James Storm. James Storm will begin to answer, saying “Etha…” before Eli Drake replies “wrong!” Continuing, Eli Drake will explain to a confused James Storm that only one man had something to gain from him losing to Ethan Carter in that match last month. He will say that the man who was responsible for the attack was the same man who went on to defeat Ethan Carter for the Grand Championship the very next week. James Storm will find this suggestion ridiculous, saying that Eli Drake looks like he is trying to deflect something. Brian Cage will look to step up to Storm, but Drake will tell him to back off. With Brian Cage taking a backseat, Eli Drake will explain that Impact Wrestling has become the lawless land and that means that nobody can be trusted. Drake will say that Eddie Edwards has always been jealous of James’ long, flowing hair, suggesting that the plan to attack him had probably been in place for months. When Brian Cage begins to smirk, James Storm will cotton on to the fact that Eli Drake is beginning to make light of the situation and tell him to keep it coming. He will then tell Eli that he needs it from the horse's mouth, asking “who was responsible for the attack on me?” However, as Eli Drake lifts the microphone to his mouth, beginning to say the name of Eddie Edwards, James Storm will hit him with a Last Call Superkick. This will form the basis of much of the story in the match, with a clearly not 100% Johnny Impact having been forced into competing in this match. While this will slow him throughout, the former Impact World Champion will give a good account of himself against the strong and agile Moose.</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Another thread of the match will be the strength of Moose’s desire to become the Number One Contender. This ruthlessness, against a man who is clearly injured, will highlight this feeling and at points (when Moose specifically targets the injured arm) move into morally questionable territory. This will be highlighted on commentary, with Josh Matthews pointing out that given what the Impact World Championship means to these men, he couldn’t possibly take any other approach. Due to this, Moose will be able to control the majority of the match, coming close following a Spear which Johnny Impact surprisingly kicks out of.</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> From here, Johnny Impact will begin to come back into the match, and appear to mount an impressive comeback. However when going for the kill, Johnny Impact’s arm will give way as he climbs to the top rope. This will allow Moose to return to his feet and hit a running Bicycle Kick to the struggling Impact. Now sat on the top turnbuckle, slumped forward, Johnny Impact will be dragged to the mat and hit with another Spear from Moose. Taking no chances, Moose will pick the seemingly unconscious Impact back up, hitting him with a Discus Lariat that takes him down. That was a very good show! I like the idea of an unhinged Braxton Sutter trying to get revenge for Allie by trying to attack the entirety of LAX by himself. I think that would be a cool way to proceed with this storyline.

As well as the Impact World Champion, Moose was confronted at ringside by El Patron’s LAX associates, finding himself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Now putting over a serious pain in his arm, an injury which commentators will point out has plagued him for some weeks, Johnny Impact will take a microphone from ringside. Directing his message towards Konnan and LAX on the outside, Impact will say “you can bring two… you can bring three… you can bring four”, challenging every member of LAX to face him and Moose in a match later tonight. This will take Moose by surprise, but he will support the former Impact World Champion, adding “that unfinished business… how about we finish it tonight!” Responding to the challenge, Konnan will make it clear that LAX are more than up for the fight, before telling Impact and Moose that tonight they will learn to be careful what you wish for.</div></blockquote> Returning from the break, the commentators will recap the events of the show’s opening, promoting Moose & Johnny Impact vs. LAX in the night’s main event. If he is going to “go to war” with Johnny Impact tonight, Moose needs to know that the man by his side is fit to compete. Johnny Impact will agree to see the medical staff, but promise that no matter what, he will be by Moose’s side tonight.</div></blockquote> Returning to ringside, the commentators will discuss the cumulative effects of recent events on Johnny Impact’s arm, particularly during the Number One Contendership match last week, which he lost to Moose. Continuing to talk about last week, the commentators will discuss what happened to Allie, when she challenged for the Knockouts Championship. Confronted by LAX, Allie was made to lay down for Ivelisse Velez, as the group held her boyfriend Braxton Sutter hostage. He will say that if Moose can be beat in the chaos of an impromptu 8 Man Tag Team match, then he can be beat in any circumstance. Moose will tell Alberto El Patron that everybody saw what happened last week, saying that if it came down to a one on one match, it wouldn’t go like that. Moose will then say that Alberto El Patron, like everybody in the back, knows that he was injured in the match last week. Moose will say he is unable to compete for the Impact World Championship right now, but once he gets cleared to compete again, he will be coming for the title. Alberto El Patron will laugh at this, asking Moose “wasn’t it you, telling Johnny Impact to fight through pain... what happened, Perro?” El Patron will add that what happened last week was a sign, a message from his body telling him that he doesn’t want to cross Alberto El Patron. Moose will disagree, telling Alberto El Patron that soon he will be ready, and he will take the Impact World Championship from him. Alberto will say that Moose needs to stop talking big, if every time Alberto is ready to fight him, he has a sick note prepared. Moose will say that Alberto knows that, if he could, he would challenge him right now. Using this as a way to take attention off his World Championship, El Patron will suggest that Ethan Carter take his rematch tonight. As Alberto El Patron tries to slip out of the ring, Edwards will turn back to him, saying “whether it’s me, or Moose… that title is coming back to a real Champion!”</div></blockquote> Returning from the commercial break, the commentators will discuss the match made in the opening segment of the show. Slating Ethan Carter’s rematch against Impact Grand Champion, Eddie Edwards, as the night’s Main Event, they will eventually move onto discussion of the upcoming Lockdown pay-per-view. This will lead into a video package promoting the upcoming event. Storm will add that Ethan Carter stuck his nose in something which had nothing to do with him last week, and that made him think that maybe the former Impact Grand Champion wasn’t so innocent in this after all. James Storm will say that he knows that Ethan Carter wasn’t physically involved in the attack last month, but he wants to know what Ethan meant last week, when he told Storm to be careful about making “powerful enemies”. Ethan Carter will have remained unmoved throughout Storm’s tirade, but the frustration of defeat will see him pushed over the edge. Taking the microphone, Ethan Carter will furiously tell Storm that if he wants answers, he’ll get them. Carter will then appear to slowly chill out, as if a pressure valve had just been released. Soon, his trademark smirk returning to his face. Returning to a calm and cocky tone, Ethan Carter will say “if you wanted answers… all you had to do was ask”. Ethan will then tell Storm to “say hello… to the new Team Impact”. Carter will then point towards the entranceway, directing James Storm to turn around. Putting over their shock that two egos like Ethan Carter and Eli Drake’s are willing to work together, Borash and Matthews will sell the intrigue of next week’s episode, where the M.O of “Team Impact” will surely be made much clearer.</div></blockquote>
