Looking to the ramp, Moose will fail to spot the emergence of LAX. After a defeat at Lockdown, a match which was described as potentially “career defining”, Allie has struggled to come to terms with the defeat. From trying to avenge her hero, to fighting for her boyfriend’s honour, she will say that the last 6 months have been the most difficult of her career. She will say that while she could always see the light at the end of the tunnel, that light has now burnt out. Allie will say that she doesn’t know where she goes from here, but she is sure that if she stays here things will only get worse. Braxton will then tell Allie that he didn’t expect that he’d be able to talk her out of it, which is why he needed her to wait a week. Since last week’s Impact Wrestling, he has reached out to somebody who he hopes can make her change her mind. Gail Kim will then look to convince Allie to stay, calling her the continuation of what she tried to make the Knockouts Division. She will tell Allie that after what happened between her and LAX, she stayed away. Gail will say that she was angry and she was humiliated, but the thing that kept her away was knowing that Allie was there to protect the values of the company. Gail will say that Allie is an inspiration to girls all around the world, and tell her that she can’t let that go. Gail Kim will say that not only will Allie stay and fight, she will become the Knockouts Champion. This speech from her hero will inspire Allie, who will look defiant as she speaks once more. He would later get that wish, as it was announced to Alberto El Patron - who had taken the night off - that he would be facing Moose on the following week’s Impact Wrestling. The package will then switch focus to the Main Event match from last week, as Johnny Impact overcame Eli Drake. However, following the match, the celebrating Johnny Impact was pulled down from the top rope, and hit with a “One Percenter” by Ethan Carter. Carter would then tell Impact “you have my attention… what are you going to do with it?” <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44295" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Location: In-Ring Duration: 8 minutes Making his way down to the ring with purpose, the commentators will suggest that Johnny Impact has his mind on just one thing tonight. Johnny Impact will add that he’s willing to say something that Ethan Carter never would, and this is that “this company existed before me… and it will exist after I am gone”. Not only that, he will put over that in the 16 years that Impact Wrestling has been in business, there have been a lot of memorable moments. Johnny will say that by naming himself “Impact”, he stated his intention to be a part of that history. He will say that he did that at Bound For Glory, when he became the first Champion under the “Impact World Championship” name. Carter will say that he came to this company with nothing more than a last name. Despite what everybody says, he was given little more than an inch, and he ran into mile after mile of open space. Ethan Carter will say that if people think that a last name takes you far, he suggests that they make a call to David Flair, Sim Snuka or Erik Watts. Ethan Carter will add that he was given a platform, what happened after that was all down to him. Putting over that Moose earned this Championship match - originally scheduled for Lockdown - several months ago, they will introduce a video package of Alberto El Patron’s Championship run. From here, Alberto El Patron will target the shoulder and arm of his opponent, which the commentators will point out has a two fold benefit. The commentators will put over that this is the first time that Alberto has been seen to be out of his comfort zone, suggesting that this is uncharted territory in the Impact World Championship reign of El Patron. One such instance of El Patron’s desire to flee the ring will see him caught on the top rope by Moose. Looking to hit a huge move, that would without question have ended the match, Moose set up for the “Go To Hell”. Smartly using the cage wall, El Patron will grasp the chain link, ensuring that he is not slammed to the mat. Moose will look to overpower Alberto, but the Champion will resist. This will result in Moose being sent down to the mat, crashing from the top rope down.</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> While the exit is in sight Alberto instead will come down from the top rope, hitting a Double Footstomp. Again, Moose will look to gain an upper hand, but will fall short in the most heartbreaking fashion. Hitting a “Go To Hell” in the middle of the ring, Moose will look to place an exclamation point on his quest for the Impact World Championship. It will be this attempt at a Spear which will cost him, as Moose smashes his head into Steel Cage door. Not only will this stun the challenger, it will leave the path open for Alberto El Patron to exit. Ethan Carter will consider the challenge for just a moment, before clearly rejecting the proposal. Ethan Carter will then go to leave the ring, but only do this to catch Johnny Impact off guard. When Impact’s back is turned, Ethan Carter will jump him from behind, dropping him to the mat. Ethan Carter will quickly be on top of Impact, laying a series of right hands into the skull of Johnny Impact. Ethan Carter will continue the assault, the brutality of which will be put over by the commentators. They will say that the aggression being shown is evidence that Carter doesn’t believe the issues between the two are over, and this will be confounded when he goes to the outside for a Steel Chair. Returning to the ring, Ethan Carter will continually hit Johnny Impact with the Steel Chair, mangling and contorting the chair around his body. Ethan Carter will then take the chair, placing it in the middle of the ring. Johnny Impact will now be out cold, and Carter will pick him up by his t-shirt. Eliminating both members of Natural Selection, Rey Mysterio secured Number One Contendership for the Impact World title, in a match that will take place in under two weeks time at Slammiversary - in his hometown of San Diego, California. Following the footage of this huge moment, the opening credits of Impact will play. The footage will show the brutal attack of Johnny Impact by Ethan Carter, which left the former Impact World Champion in a bloody mess in the ring. When the attack was done, Carter took Impact’s white t-shirt, rubbing it into the face of the man who he had just attacked with a Steel Chair. Ethan Carter will show no remorse for the brutality of the attack last week, and will instead address the challenge that Johnny Impact made to him, for a match at Slammiversary. Ethan Carter will remind Johnny Impact of his history at the Pay-Per-View, saying that he has never been beaten when he has competed at the event. Ethan Carter will recount the fact that he defeated Bully Ray - in a Texas Deathmatch - in his Slammiversary debut. The next year, he was on the winning side against Bobby Lashley, and in 2016 he was once again victorious. Last year, at the 15 year anniversary of Impact Wrestling, Ethan Carter was able to, not only defeat James Storm, but take part of his opponent with him. With all that information disclosed, Ethan Carter will question why Johnny Impact would challenge him to a match at the event. Ethan Carter will call himself a “big match player”, saying that when the heat is on, he doesn’t lose. But if Johnny Impact really want to up the stakes, then Ethan Carter has an idea. Carter will then explain his hatred of Johnny Impact, and his desperate attempts to take the position as the “figurehead” of Impact Wrestling. Ethan will say that as long as he walks around with the name “Impact”, Carter simply can not conceive of a way the two men could coexist. Saying that Impact Wrestling simply isn’t big enough for the both of them, Ethan Carter will accept Johnny Impact’s challenge, on the condition that the “Loser Leaves Impact Wrestling”. Dropping this bombshell, Ethan Carter will wait for the reaction of Johnny Impact, whose music will begin to play. Having removed his suit jacket, Ethan Carter will look to drag Johnny Impact’s t-shirt over his head, allowing him to escape the ring. The fired up Johnny Impact will tear off his t-shirt, following Ethan Carter to the outside. Fighting him down the side of the ramp, Johnny Impact and Ethan Carter will brawl out of sight. As the two men presumably fight off into the night, the show will go to a break.</div></blockquote> Returning to Impact Wrestling, the commentators will talk over footage of the opening segment. Rey Mysterio will say that Alberto El Patron has dominated Impact Wrestling, and he has managed to beat everybody put in front of him. Rey will say that El Patron may have had the help of Konnan’s LAX, but that’s something that he is also going to have to deal with at Slammiversary. Rey Mysterio will respond to Alberto El Patron’s claims that he deserves the love that Rey gets, saying that every time that these people have got behind El Patron, he has let them down. Rey Mysterio will add that he has always given the people what they deserve, and while Alberto El Patron might have 5 members of LAX behind him, Rey Mysterio has everybody in this building, everybody at home, and everybody in San Diego watching his back. Mysterio will add that he came to Impact Wrestling to join “The Fight Back” against LAX, and last week he became the Impact World Championship Number One Contender. He will say that he returned last week - having been competing all around the world over the last few months - because he thinks that Impact Wrestling deserves a Champion they can be proud of. Rey Mysterio will promote that at Slammiversary he will challenge for the Impact World Championship, and he is going to bring the title back to the people, and the real fans of Impact Wrestling. Talking up the matches, ahead of what will be referred to as “the highest stakes Slammiversary in history”, Joseph Park will say that he’s sure there are one or two loose ends to tie up tonight, putting over the idea that more matches will be confirmed during the evening. Talking up the “first contact” between Alberto El Patron and Rey Mysterio on the previous episode, Park will introduce a video package of last week on Impact Wrestling.

Footage will be shown, recapping the events of last week’s show, including the bloody brawl between Ethan Carter and Johnny Impact, which spilled out into the streets of Ottawa. Following this brawl, Johnny Impact accepted Ethan Carter’s Slammiversary challenge, agreeing to a match where the loser will leave Impact Wrestling. At the end of the show, Alberto El Patron called out Rey Mysterio, where the two men spoke passionately about their family history in the Pro Wrestling business, as well as their desire to be victorious at Slammiversary.

Out of the video package, and following the opening credits, Jeremy Borash and Josh Matthews will introduce viewers to show, just a few days before the upcoming Slammiversary Pay-Per-View.

They will put over the jam packed episode from last week, speaking excitedly of the imminence of one of the biggest nights in the Impact Wrestling calendar. However, before Slammiversary, they will speak of another must-see episode of Impact Wrestling, with particular focus on the night’s Main Event. Recapping last week’s DQ finish in the World Tag Team Championship match between Natural Selection and Marufuji & Nakajima, the commentators will inform viewers that as a result of Natural Selection’s intentional DQ, Joseph Park decided to change the Impact World Tag Team Championship match at Slammiversary. This would make it even harder for the Champions to retain. Tonight, the match which he had originally pencilled in - the straight tag team match of Eddie Edwards & Moose against Eli Drake & Brian Cage - will take place, albeit without the Championships on the line.

First however, they will introduce footage of last week, bringing viewers up to speed with the standings of the “World X Cup”.

Confirming that there is no way for Mexico to drop into third place, the commentators will put over that any of the other teams can stake their claim for the other spot in the final, in the all important, tournament defining match up next.

[World X Cup - Total Elimination

JT Dunn & Zema Ion vs. King Fenix & Penta El Zero M vs. Mike Bailey & Tyson Dux vs. Taiji Ishimori & Yoshihiro Tajiri

With a member of each team legal at all times in the match, this vital World X Cup match will have a chaotic feel throughout, with multiple levels of actions going on at once. Explaining what needs to happen for each team to go through, the commentators will note that to make it to the final, Team Canada will have to score all three eliminations, or score two (and hope that Mexico scores the other). It will also be put over that due to the desperate nature of the situation, Petey Williams elected the heated rivals Mike Bailey and Tyson Dux to represent Team Canada, presenting a “wildcard” for the outsiders. Interestingly, it will be the first fall of the match that goes to Team Canada, as they shockingly eliminate Team Mexico within minutes. While Team Mexico will have nothing to play for, it will still be put over as an upset, as Mike Bailey rolls up Fenix. Scoring three points, the updated scoreboard will be show.

Following the shock elimination, the match will continue, with the commentators putting over that the home crowd may start to believe that their team can complete the unlikely comeback. Needing to score both eliminations to stand any chance of qualifications, the rest of the match will be built around the “sudden death” situation that “Team Canada” find themselves in. Ahead of the match, Canadian flags will have been handed out to the audience, in the hopes of creating a home field advantage type atmosphere. This will lead Team Canada to another impressive fall, with Ishimori being pinned by Tyson Dux following a Lariat.

With Team Japan eliminated, the final stretch of the “World X Cup” will be a straight shootout between JT Dunn & Zema Ion and Team Canada’s Bailey & Dux. Whoever scores the fall will go on to face Team Mexico at Slammiversary in a 4 on 4 “World X Cup Final” match. Momentum will clearly be on the side of Team Canada, and they will look to close in on the victory, isolating Zema Ion with Tyson Dux beating him down. Mike Bailey will then be brought into play, and he will look to seal the deal. However, he will fail to spot a blind tag from JT Dunn to Zema Ion, while Zema himself will be fully aware. As a result, when Zema Ion is thrown into the ropes, he will adjust his run, throwing himself feet first at Tyson Dux on the apron. This will cause both men to fall out of the ring, leaving Mike Bailey alone. Confused by what he had just witnessed, Mike Bailey will be caught off guard. It will be this moment, a split second of an entire tournaments worth of work that costs his team. Turning around, Mike Bailey will be hit with a Discuss Forearm from JT Dunn, who will cover him to secure Team USA’s place in the World X Cup Final at Slammiversary.

Following their victory, the celebrations of Team USA will be overshadowed by an incident in the ring after they leave. Returning to the ring, where his partner will sat looking distraught, Tyson Dux will extend his hand to Mike Bailey.

Having been at odds since the beginning of the year, the gesture will catch Mike Bailey by surprise, and he will instinctively accept the handshake. Once he returns to his feet, Mike Bailey will look confused by Tyson helping him up. On commentary, it will be suggested that Mike may have earned Tyson’s respect due to them coming so close to turning the tournament on its head, but they will be wrong. When Tyson Dux turns to leave, he will quickly turn back, dropping Mike Bailey to the mat. Showing his true colours, Dux will lay a series of right hands into the head of Mike Bailey, beating down the man who he took out of action for two months earlier in the year. As the brutal attack continues, the pair’s Team Canada teammates will run down to the ring, looking to halt the assault.

Confronting Tyson Dux, Stu Grayson will get shoved to the side. Petey Williams will then try and encourage Dux to calm down, pointing out the positives of the performance. Tyson Dux will stare intensely at Petey Williams, telling him to get out of the way. Having been at odds throughout the tournament, the momentary truce between Dux and Bailey will be well and truly over, as Dux waits for him to return to his feet. Tyson will then run at Mike Bailey, dropping him with a vicious Lariat to the back of his head. Leaving Mike Bailey completely out cold (and to be checked on by his partners), Tyson Dux will leave the ring, not looking back at his teammates as he walks up the ramp.

Discussing the brutal assault, the commentators will be shocked by the actions of Tyson Dux, but ultimately “switch gears”. Moving on, they will promote Allie’s match with Diamante tonight, just two days before this Saturday’s Slammiversary Pay-Per-View. Sending over to the back, they will say that Impact Wrestling cameras caught up with the Knockouts Championship hopeful earlier today.

Questioned about her match tonight, and how she feels about being in action this close to Slammiversary, Allie will speak with a quiet optimism.

Allie will say that while she can’t afford to look past Diamante, she has to admit that one eye is on Ivelisse Velez and the Knockouts Championship. Allie will address what had been dubbed her “week from hell”, which included Lockdown and the following week on Impact Wrestling, saying that Diamante is the last “demon” of that part of her life that she has to deal with. Allie will say that a month ago she was ready to walk away from Impact, but Gail Kim changed that. Now, her only focus is walking away this Sunday, as the new Knockouts Champion.

Caleb Konley vs. Matt Sydal

Returning to another X Division match, the commentators will use the contest to discuss the fact that Matt Sydal has yet to find his Slammiversary challenger, suggesting that a victory for Caleb in this match could set him up as the next in line. Despite this, the match will mostly serve as a showcase of the Champion, who the commentators will confirm will be in action at Slammiversary. After a back and forth match, Matt Sydal will show himself to be a level above Caleb Konley at this stage of their careers, scoring the win with a Shooting Star Press.

Following the match, Matt Sydal will take a microphone from ringside, after he is handed the X Division Championship by the referee.

Matt Sydal will talk about this Saturday’s Slammiversary Pay-Per-View, addressing the fact that he is yet to have a match confirmed. Sydal will say that he has spoken to Joseph Park and the two of them agreed with his suggestion. Matt Sydal will then announce that he is issuing an open challenge for Slammiversary, defending his Championship against any member of the X Division.

Returning from the break, the commentators will take viewers back to last week and the incident between Low-Ki and his LAX teammates. Footage will be played which shows Konnan calling Low-Ki to show his commitment to the team, before Low-Ki declared “until LAX is done with Alberto El Patron… I am done with LAX!”

Addressing the camera in the LAX Clubhouse, Konnan will talk to the operator, saying “make sure Ki sees this”.

Konnan will then call Low-Ki a “disloyal rat”, claiming that the former member of LAX has once again let his ego get in the way of doing good business. Konnan will say that LAX don’t need Low-Ki, and they sure as hell won’t be inviting him back once he’s done with this latest “temper tantrum”. Instead, Konnan will look to promote Ortiz & Santana’s appearance in the Impact World Tag Team Championship match at Slammiversary. He will say that Ivelisse Velez is running the Knockouts Division, and whatever happens - from the Tag Team match to the Main Event - LAX footprint is going to be all over Slammiversary.

Out of that segment, the commentators promote the fact that Josh Matthews spoke with Konnan earlier this week, and that sit-down interview will be shown later in the night.

Following the entrance of Allie, Diamante will be joined by Ivelisse Velez. Despite the match being between Allie and Diamante, Ivelisse Velez will enter the ring with a microphone.

Running down the challenger, Ivelisse Velez will say that if Allie manages to make it to Slammiversary, there is no chance that she is getting anywhere near the Impact Knockouts Championship. Allie will look uncomfortable as the two women try to intimidate her in the ring. Ivelisse Velez will say that Allie stands no chance with Diamante in the ring and her on the outside, and even less chance at Slammiversary. When Ivelisse goes to leave the ring, the music of Gail Kim will play. Making her way down the ramp, she too will take a microphone.

Once in the ring, Gail Kim will tell Ivelisse to back off. Looking in the eyes of the Knockouts Champion, the commentators will put over just how personal Gail’s issues with LAX are, stating that she has been put through almost as much as Allie at their hands. Gail Kim will say that she is working with Joseph Park, and in the last week they have been discussing this Saturday’s match. Diamante will then get in the face of Gail Kim, saying that they don’t care what she has to say. Gail Kim will say that the discussions were very progressive and she thinks that Diamante and Ivelisse are going to be very interested in the conclusions they came to. Gail Kim will then get in Diamante’s face, telling her that on Saturday, she will be barred from ringside.

Ivelisse Velez will be the next to get in Gail’s face, saying “there’s more than one way to skin a cat”, putting over her belief that she can win without Diamante. Gail Kim will add that she is looking forward to that, and she will get a close look, because at Slammiversary - during the Knockouts Championship match - Gail Kim will be the Special Guest Referee. Ivelisse Velez will be furious about this, but Gail will tell her to get used to it. She will then add that since this match is a warm up for Sunday, they also agreed that Ivelisse Velez would be barred from ringside tonight.

Allie vs. Diamante

Coming off an incredibly impressive victory last week, Allie will once again put a “demon” to bed, showing her determination to overcome Diamante. While this week’s match will be more difficult than last week’s, Allie will be able to fight back against the gritty Diamante, turning the tables after the LAX member enjoys a brief spell of control. Much little she did last week, it will be an Allie Cutter that scores her the victory, ensuring that her momentum continues to build for Slammiversary.

As Allie has her arm raised in the ring, the commentators will put over the fact that she has finally put her “week from hell” to bed. They will add that the Number One Contender can now solely focus on this Saturday’s Slammiversary Pay-Per-View.

Allie will continue to celebrate in the ring, before going to the outside to embrace the fans. Going all around the ringside area, Allie will stop when she reaches the section where the LAX entranceway is. She will do this as she has spotted Ivelisse Velez returning to ringside.

Holding her Championship high above her head, Ivelisse Velez will cover her face with a bandana. Looking down menacingly at Allie, the commentators will put over that despite all the fairytale style redemption that has been witnessed, a dominant Impact Knockouts Champion awaits Allie at Slammiversary. Allie will look towards Ivelisse, and will make it clear that there is still a small amount of trepidation, ahead of the Pay-Per-View.

<hr>Returning to the second hour of Impact Wrestling, the commentators will introduce the sit-down interview conducted with Konnan, ahead of Slammiversary’s Impact World Championship Main Event between Alberto El Patron and Rey Mysterio.

Sitting down, Konnan will make it clear that he doesn’t really want to talk to Josh Matthews, and will tell him that he has business to attend to. He will tell Josh Matthews to “make it quick”, as he is mic’d up for the interview.

Konnan will be given free reign to talk about the rivalry between Alberto El Patron and Rey Mysterio, adding his own personal insight on both men. While he will of course be expected to put over Alberto El Patron, he will also make it clear that he respects the ability of Rey Mysterio. He will in fact, speak positively about Rey Mysterio throughout the interview, but make it clear that he doesn’t agree with the choices he made. Konnan will present Rey as “mentally weak”, saying that despite him being one of the best in-ring performers in the history of Pro Wrestling, he has been blinded by fame and celebrity. Konnan will suggest this as the biggest difference between the two men in the Slammiversary Main Event, saying that wherever he has been, and whatever he has done, Alberto El Patron has never pretended to be anybody but himself. That, as well as the fact that he has kept his feet firmly on the ground, means that Konnan is backing Alberto El Patron to come out victorious at Slammiversary.

Returning to the commentators, Matthews and Borash will turn their attention to the brutal and bloody battle between Ethan Carter and Johnny Impact last week, as the two men took their brawl to the streets of Ottawa. Following footage of the fight, which left both men bleeding heavily, Jeremy Borash will leave his position at ringside, entering the ring to moderate the final face off between the two men, who will go one on one in a Loser Leaves Impact match, this Saturday at Slammiversary.

Entering the ring, Jeremy Borash will discuss the rivalry between the two men who he is about to introduce, as well as the details of their match at Slammiversary.

Inviting both men to the ring, Jeremy Borash will put over that for either man, tonight could be their last night in Impact Wrestling. This will be followed by Jeremy Borash putting over the accomplishments of both competitors, before they make their entrances one after the other.

Jeremy Borash will speak to the two competitors separately, asking both of them for their feelings on what could be their last appearance on Impact Wrestling. Ethan Carter will speak first, and will display 100% certainty in his belief that he will be successful at Slammiversary. Ethan will say that while big names have left this company before, there’s no way the Impact Wrestling could survive without Carter. Jeremy Borash will ask him what if he loses though, what will he do. Ethan Carter will laugh off the question, suggesting that he hasn’t even considered defeat as a possibility. Ethan will say that him losing, and being kicked out of the company he carried on his (huge) back, simply doesn’t make sense. He will state his belief that “there’s simply no way it can be allowed to happen”.

Johnny Impact will speak with less certainty, but make it clear that it isn’t due to a lack of confidence. Instead, he will explain that the reason he won’t guarantee victory is because in this business, nothing is promised. Impact will say that Ethan is correct when he says that big names have left Impact Wrestling before, saying that it is the nature of the business they’re in. Impact will say that there is no way of knowing what might happen at Slammiversary, but he does know one thing. Johnny Impact will say that the last year of his career has been one of the most productive and creatives years he has had. Impact will add that the support of the fans carried him to becoming the Impact World Champion, and has allowed him to believe anything is possible. That goes for everything this Saturday, and Johnny will say that he believes with every part of his body that he will be successful at Slammiversary. If his feeling is right, then he thinks that Ethan Carter is in for a rude awakening - in the worst way imaginable - at Slammiversary.

With the two men going face to face in the ring, Jeremy Borash will promote a match up next, that neither man knew was going to happen. Jeremy Borash will say that since tonight these two men will be forced to team together, in what will be one man’s last match ever on Impact Wrestling.

Ethan Carter & Johnny Impact vs. Veterans of War

While the two competitors thrown together were never likely to get along, their individual abilities will shine through against the powerhouse team of V.O.W. Focussed entirely on his opponents, Johnny Impact will do his best to weather the early storm, but Ethan Carter will offer little support. Johnny will show zero interest in getting one over on Carter this close to Slammiversary, but Ethan Carter will be unable to resist. This will manifest in the finish of the match, as Johnny Impact takes the fight to The Veterans of War, only for Ethan Carter to steal the tag at the last moment. Once in the ring, Ethan Carter will pick the bones, hitting Wilcox with a One Percenter in the middle of the ring.

As they promote tonight’s Main Event - between two of the teams in that match - they will be informed of an incident going down in the Team USA Locker Room.

Due to the 4-3 numbers advantage, La Rebelion will quickly be able to fight over the resistance of Team USA, attacking them in their own Locker Room. Speaking disrespectfully to their Slammiversary opponent, La Rebelion will leave the trio with a message. Garza Jr. will say that from day one this tournament was all about them - and at Slammiversary they’re taking home the World X Cup.

Returning from the break, footage of Rosemary’s challenge to Taya will be played. Following the clip, Taya will be seen in the back.

Taya will respond to Rosemary’s claim of “mind games”, suggesting that Rosemary shows very little faith in her “friend” Crazzy Steve. She will say that maybe Rosemary can’t see beyond Steve’s exterior, but she can. Valkyrie will say that Rosemary may see Steve as a sidekick, but she knows he’s worth more than that. She will add that Rosemary trying to come between them won’t work, saying that she thinks that Steve knows just how serious she is about him. As she says this, the camera will pan back, revealing Crazzy Steve sat, crossed legged, at Taya’s feet. Looking up at her, Steve will have a smile on his face.

Returning to the Locker Room of Team USA, the three men who were attacked earlier will not give Braxton Sutter the warmest welcome as he joins them.

Initially Kid Kash will confront him, as leader of the group, asking where he was earlier on. Braxton will explain that he was training, with his girlfriend, ahead of the biggest matches of their career at Slammiversary. JT Dunn will pipe up next, even more furious with Braxton Sutter. Dunn will tell Braxton that he has a simple choice to make, it’s either his teammates or his girlfriend. Sutter will find the suggestion ridiculous and turn to Zema Ion for support. Instead, Zema will shake his head at the man who he has grown close to in recent months, telling him “this time… you messed up, Brax”.

Back to ringside, the commentators will talk about the Slammiversary Main Event, putting over the star power in the match. Adding this to the fact that the match will take place in the challenger Rey Mysterio’s hometown, they will suggest the match has the potential to be one of the biggest in Impact Wrestling history. This will lead them to introduce an interview with Alberto El Patron, the current Impact World Champion.

Taking place in the home of Alberto El Patron, the Impact World Champion will proudly present his Championship in front of him. While many of the other Championships that Alberto El Patron has won in the past will be displayed, the Impact Grand Championship will not.

Given very little direction, Alberto El Patron will be free to put over his deep and storied past with Rey Mysterio, drawing on the history of their family names to do so. He will make it clear that in all the time they have known each other, the two of them have never got along, and suggest that Rey Mysterio is not who he claims to be when the cameras are rolling. El Patron will say that Rey’s entire career has been about building his ego, and that’s why he is desperate for the love of the fan’s.

To close, El Patron will say that Slammiversary couldn’t be taking place in any better city, because when he destroys Rey Mysterio, he wants it to be in front of the people who he cares about the most. El Patron will say that he has already exposed the myth and the legend of Rey Mysterio, adding that this Saturday he is going to expose “the man!”

Crazzy Steve vs. Sonjay Dutt

Going alone as “The Gatekeeper”, it will be mentioned that Sonjay Dutt has struggled to make an impact on Impact Wrestling recently, as his partner Petey Williams has been focussed on the World X Cup (the final of which takes place at Slammiversary). More notable in this match will be Taya’s presence at ringside, in place of Steve’s usually partner Rosemary. Steve will look to impress Taya throughout the match, and his will ultimately cost him. Hitting Steve with a Moonstomp, Sonjay Dutt will score the victory.

Following Crazzy Steve’s defeat, he will remain in the ring, looking down. After a short time, Taya will join him in the ring.

Looking to console the man who was defeated, Taya will stroke Crazzy Steve on the head. On commentary it will be suggested that Taya is using Steve to get at Rosemary, with Borash calling Steve “naive”. Matthews will suggest that Steve probably isn’t used to female attention. Despite this, he will soon find himself between two women, as Rosemary comes down to the ring.

Coming straight for Taya, Rosemary will run off her Slammiversary opponent, leaving her in the ring with Steve. Helping Crazzy Steve to his feet, Rosemary will look to snap her friend out of it, saying that Taya isn’t interested in him. Steve will look disheartened by this, looking down with puppy dog eyes. Rosemary will be frustrated by this, and her tone will cause Steve to back away. Leaving the ring, Steve will join Taya on the ramp, looking back at Rosemary with a fearful expression. Having turned Steve against Rosemary, Taya will have a smug look on her face.

Having finished a workout, Rey Mysterio will be seen as the show returns from the break. Unwrapping his hands, Rey Mysterio will talk about this Saturday’s Slammiversary Pay-Per-View, and his chance to become the Impact World Champion in his hometown.

Speaking briefly about his rivalry and history with Alberto El Patron, Rey Mysterio’s focus will largely be on becoming a World Champion once again. Mysterio will say that he has an history of breaking records and overcoming the odds, and will say that if anybody can stop Alberto El Patron, then it’s him. Rey Mysterio will put over the atmosphere that he is anticipating as he returns to San Diego, California. Rey will add that since he came to Impact Wrestling he has yet to hit anybody with the 619, and he knows that the fans can’t wait to see it. Rey Mysterio will explain that he intends to hit that very move, this Saturday at Slammiversary. If he does, Rey Mysterio will state his belief that he will be leaving the Pay-Per-View having achieved his dream of becoming a World Champion once again.

Following on from this, the commentators will put over the Main Event of Slammiversary. They will then run through the rest of the card, promoting this Saturday’s Pay-Per-View. This will lead into the Main Event of the show.

Eddie Edwards & Moose vs. Natural Selection

From the start of the match, the commentators will talk about the Impact World Tag Team Championships match at Slammiversary, pointing out that before Joseph Park had a change of heart, this contest was the one scheduled to take place at Slammiversary. As a result, Borash & Matthews will put this over as a Pay-Per-View quality match. While they will be sent out to give their all, the two teams will not really have the time to put on a classic. All four men will manage an amount of offence (Eli Drake less so) that puts over their talents ahead of the Pay-Per-View, but the finish will rob the audience of a decisive finish. This will be as a result of LAX’s Ortiz & Santana getting involved.

Having pulled Eddie Edwards off the apron, Ortiz & Santana will jump Moose, catching him completely off guard in the ring. This will cost Natural Selection the match.

Despite the sound of the bell, LAX will continue to lay into Moose in the middle of the ring.

Of course, it will not take long before Eddie Edwards recovers, and he will enter the ring, looking to fight back against LAX.

Outnumbered, Eddie Edwards will be left down himself, despite a valiant effort. Now in the ring with the Tag Team Champions, the two men will staredown Eli Drake and Brian Cage.

Brian Cage will want to fight the two men, annoyed to have been cost the match. Eli Drake will manage to calm his partner down, and it will appear the Champions are prepared to save themselves for Saturday. However, LAX will front up to Natural Selection, saying that they’re taking “their” titles back at Slammiversary. This will enrage Brian Cage, who will take the fight to both men. As LAX fight back, Eli Drake will back his partner up, and the two teams will battle back and forth. Getting heated, the commentators will put over that this will be the scene on Saturday, making it clear that every team in this match is desperate to take out the other three. Two teams known for questionable tactics, an intense brawl will continue until the former Champions, Marufuji & Nakajima join the action.

Running down the ramp, Naomichi Marufuji & Katsuhiko Nakajima will take the fight to both teams in the ring, with the commentators recapping the issues that they have had with each of the duos. Coming between the two teams, the intensity of Marufuji & Nakajima will allow them to take on the four men on their own. Somehow managing to deal with two of Impact Wrestling’s top teams, Marufuji & Nakajima will be able to clear the ring of Natural Selection and LAX. Signing off on the show before Slammiversary, the commentators will put over the two “Japanese Wrestling Superstars”, and the star studded event on Saturday. With one final mention of the huge Main Event between Alberto El Patron and Rey Mysterio, the show will close with Marufuji & Nakajima stood tall in the ring.
