Already blown away and we're only two in. So excited to see a customizable fight engine that allows you to vary things to what you see fit. A true catch all change that will avoid some people feeling left out. Always wanted to increase power of ground shots to make the weight of them much heavier.

The organic biographies is awesome, and it's something I feel like most people in the community have been craving for a while. Days of going in to write your own biography at the end of their career (then losing it @ death) are over. The future is now!

What a great start. Customization is all the rage right now and people are actively demanding it and using it. TEW's "arcade mode" is a prime example and the WWE2K series also use a system of damage regulation for finishers, for instance, which allows players to customize their experience.

The question still remains how broad the features are. A lot of users have requested kickboxing mods. Disabling takedown attemps alone would fulfill this demand, as we already have a 10-count system in place. We were just discussing round lenght in another thread. Hopefully this is also fully customizable (in a way it already is, aside from the numerals).

I wonder if we can set the frequency of certain moves. Then people could finally make those boxing or kickboxing mods, if we can for example, say fighters will never ever attempt a takedown.

Grwat first entry. I'm getting super motivated to finish my mod in time for 5.

YESH it's finally here <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> And I'm only talking about the Developer's Journal <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Super excited about the Fight Engine Modifier. More options are always welcomed like the rest have said. Piggy-backing on this feature, I wonder if we'll actually get to edit how the fight engine text gets presented in the actual game in the future?

This might unlock the possibility for custom moves similar to Wrespi!

Awesome start like the rest have said!

Would indeed be cool to see, though it seems more of an "arcady" thing. In the end it's just damage to a certain body part. Including accuracy stats tied to specific moves (spinning backfist for instance) would imo take the game too far, though it would be amazing.

Awesome start!

I can't see myself tinkering too much with the engine editor otherwise I will drive myself crazy with it, feeling like I need to tweak settings every time I see something that seems unrealistic to me. That said it sounds like a great feature that could have some fun potential with regards to mods.

Best feature I never knew I wanted. Truly, being able to tweak the fight engine is going to iron out a huge amount of issues players have with the game that boil down to personal taste. I love it.

As far as kickboxing mods go you could simulate those pretty well in WMMA with the right attributes, but this will help too.

You could mod it in while some nice tunes play in the background, but to actively add "Loves to Strike" to 2000+ workers would be a daunting task. (which is kind of why nobody did it <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)

This means that there is hope for stand-up fighters who are not ground orientated fighters. In the last game a stand-up fighter stood little chance against a fighter who was better at the ground aspect of fighting. This is a very good thing.

I like the whole organic bio for the game. Much more for MMA than for wrestling because with wrestling I feel the need to have more colorful bios. Whereas with MMA bios I prefer them to have just the facts.

Only two days into the Dev's journal and it looks like there's been some massive changes in terms of modding and overall user-friendliness. This is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see.

Even though I probably won't be touching the fight engine at all, I can appreciate how big a deal this is for many players' experiences.

I love the idea of an organic bio though. Imo, this will make the game so much more dynamic and immersive, and it should save a lot of effort in fighter creation. Also loving the idea of an in-game handbook, especially now we'll having new editing tools.

It sounds like Adam's pulling no punches on this one. :)

Oh my god. I never thought about it but it's just everything I dreamed of, it's just perfect, and we are only at the beginning... There will be endless ways to play the game, there will be in depth stats (as they have always been), even the fight engine will be customizable. I can't think about sonething I'd want more. Thanks for bringing THE perfect game to life, Adam. (At least for me lol)

The re-inclusion of TBA is great, but I love the new feature where when they get injured the fight isn't scraped from the card and you can easily just scroll through your cards and find a replacement. One of the more frustrating featues of WMMA 4, especially when running a UFC game for instance, is simming a week and 5 or 6 fights falling through due to injury. Used to take so long to go back and forth and see what card each guy was supposed to be on. This should make things go so much faster!

My biggest question now is whether the fight engine is identical to WMMA 4's. I love the feature to customize the engine (as I would make a lot of changes to the previous iteration) but would love to do so based off all the data I collected from WMMA 4 and not have to do a 10 year play through of WMMA 5 before I have enough data to decide what needs tweaked.

EDIT: Very happy about the TBA feature as well.
