I wouldn’t say they are groundbreaking changes, but how can you have a seismic feature in a game where you essentially hire fighters and tell them to fight each other?

The quality of life changes will allow the game and the game world to be so much more enjoyable, which is the point: some of the processes began to make the game a chore after a few game years, and it would appear that if implemented well (which I’m confident they will be) WMMA5 will be much more immersive and fun because of the sum of these many smaller tweaks.

WMMA 5 will allow for enormous tweaking of the fight engine. That's a giant feature; assuming it works well it will give players the ability to negate a ton of complaints about the game. There's a lot of good quality of life improvements both small and large, but this alone is one of the biggest features WMMA has ever had.

Love the new features, basically everything I wanted from this game is happening plus more. One last thing I’m waiting on is the strength of local fighters increasing so we don’t see every awful fighter raking up 20-0 records (but maybe this will be included in things you can customise)

I'm excited by the changes listed so far. Many of the requests that players have made have been responded to. For me however, the biggest proof of the pudding will be in the fight engine. I thought WMMA3 handled the fights amazingly, whereas WMMA4 felt a bit flat and less exciting.

I am a big fan of the little things that are being added to make the game more interesting. I'm also hoping for minor things like late stoppages, fighters hitting after the bell, unseen (by the ref) eye pokes and other fouls, in fight taunting etc etc.

I'm really praying for pictures to return to the ranking screen too.

There's still plenty of stuff I'd love to see, but I have to say I'm already thrilled with most of the changes I seen so far.

I guess the most important thing for me though is the final product - the presentation, user-friendliness, and overall stability of the program. And these are things that we can never really know about until the game comes out.

The other issues I had with WMMA4 seem to have mostly been addressed.

These kind of characters might be making money from some other avenue and so threaten to walk away unless their demands are met. Or just some of the characters to have an attitude about whether certain opponents are worthy of their time (like the Diaz brothers).

I would love to see something like a "Fight Pass" network where you endorse other shows by giving them air time, like UFC did with Invicta and CageFight. It's a win-win in the end as some fighters will end up on your cards sooner than later.

Reality show info is still incoming. Here's hoping it interacts with the announced press conferences and social media wars. Even EA UFC 3 had implemented that.

Yeah that event was great pub for both upcoming MMA games. A true "Holy sh/t"-card according to Dana White.

Olympics and ADCC boys. A little worried about the description though, no fighter has stopped their career to make a run at the Olympics. Not even guys like Ishii or Yoshida guys who probably could have made their teams. Canada asked GSP and he thought about it and declined. The advantage of the Olympics is scouting and throwing money at the best athletes in the world and coaxing a few every cycle to make the jump. This could be super fun, or super annoying. Fingers crossed.

I enjoyed WMMA4 for the time I had access to it. Took Gamma from Jan 01' till about Oct 05' and really enjoyed it, before I lost access to the game on a previous laptop that was knackered and couldn't get it back.

Reading through the journal for this one has got me excited for the latest instalment and I can't wait till release. Never been a huge MMA fan, more of a casual one, but look forward to the new one with all the improvements.
