alpha2117: only 1 of TMDK

alpha only drafting Mikey Nicholls. I really don't notice a difference between him and Shane Haste.

Weirdly Shane has relatively mediocre stats in the mod. Mikey (Nick) on the other hand has stats that make him useful on his own. I was banking on the fact that if I took the good member of The Mighty Don't Kneel (tm61) that nobody was going to burn a full contract on Shane. There was a risk Tardelli would take him of course but if he didn't I could pick Shane up in my go live buying frenzy which will actually have the added bonus of making Mikey happy, if he did then I had a decent worker. I want the Tag Team but Shane was someone I could pick up later.

Stats wise, Mikey has a SQ in the 60's and Shane in the 50's and that kind of reflects the whole of the stats - Mikey skews a bit above Shane across the board. In ring Shane's Chain, Mat and Submissions are way down on Mikey's for instance by around 10 points. Mikey is solid enough to work as a solo act if needed so I drafted him whilst Shane is a guy who really only works in that tag team.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

To have a roster that is perfectly matched to my product, where the majority of the roster are not only talented competitors but are also very capable with regards to cutting promos. Unfortunately not everybody can do that, however my top tier of talent (Miz, Styles, Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Rusev) are capable of both as well as having strong popularity across the US.

- What pick were you most excited about?

John Cena, he's the perfect figurehead for any promotion, is incredible on the mic, has brilliant matches and is a positive influence backstage which is also important.

- Are there any picks you regret?

Taking three announcers/commentators, I may have forgotten that I'd already taken Jim Ross earlier on, and I probably took one or two too many mystery boxes.

- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?

Destiny - William Regal is brilliant for the UK, great psychology as a Road Agent, and has brilliant promos.

Alpha - Okada, Tanahashi and Naito is a great way to start off a draft, CIMA down at 16 is another brilliant addition to his roster.

Mike - Luke Harper and Rob Van Dam are great picks for where they were in the draft.

Hitmen - Katsuyori Shibata was a good pick up, Chris Jericho in Mexico is another great shout.

Avalanche - Flamita, Will Ospreay, KUSHIDA and Akira Tozawa are four brilliant juniors to have along with people like BUSHI, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kenny Omega are both great picks for the heavyweight division.

Diamond - Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe are two good additions, as is the team of Gallows and Anderson.

Kijar - Neville, Marty Scurll and Hiromu Takahashi are three brilliant juniors.

Tardelli - WWE Network went earlier than expected but is a good pick up, as is Emma, Toni Storm, Natalya and the Iconic Duo for the women's division.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

A solid 50% of Diamond's roster, Jeff Jarrett is a weird addition and Braun Strowman as he's going to be quite difficult to utilize.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

With such a solid main event scene, I see my company performing very well, especially with very little competition across America. I also see it's spillover into Canada, destroying the company that is currently there since it has very low popularity across it's main event scene, as TIER One pillages it for stars such as Sami Zayn and the Undisputed Era in a Vince McMahon-esque outmaneuver.

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

I finally just went for it on this draft. Its not secret I prefer the X-Division/Cruiserweight part of every roster I've made. I always draft around flippy dudes for the most part, so I was pumped to do that exclusively this time around. I definitely believe there is not a much better compilation of junior heavyweights that could possibly be crafted. Obviously I missed a great deal of them to you wonderful gents, but I managed to hit all respects of the lightweight craft here for sure. </p><p>

Love having a theme to the product. First heavy hitting Canada, now this. I even had the tag team thing in mind at one point but Uncrewed did it so beautifully this time around. Have a few good ideas for the next one, hope to see you all there.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong>I want to say getting Timebomb, as I truly believe him to be one of the absolute best junior heavyweights around. Definitely the best fresh face around. I really did think I sacrificed a chance to get the Villain as a result, so still managing to get him the next round was probably the most excited I had been about a pick. Glad I could get someone like Masato Yoshino rather late, even. Petey and A-Double as well, to a lesser extent.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

Not a one, I'll be honest. When putting my list together, I simply went one by one with all the lightweights I care at least a bit for, and ranked them in the order I felt I had to. Worked out all the way down, I think. Perhaps I grabbed a Mustafa Ali or a PJ Black slightly early, but that's more knowing that my early picks would be the important ones. Most else would probably still be around if everyone else is sifting through women, middle heavyweights, and all that. Mustafa Ali is someone I am recently very high on, so he got preferential treatment. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players? </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Destiny:</strong> KO, Revival, Rhyno. I was also looking at Zema Ion, Kofi, and X-Woods.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>alpha:</strong> Getting that big three right off the bat was killer. Loved it. Sanada and CIMA both for sure. Nakajima is great as well, especially for his age.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>mike:</strong> Love the Sami Zayn first pick. Jeff Cobb as well, not too early imo. Some awesome late picks, Harper, RVD, Haskins. Mauro is the man also.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>hitmen:</strong> La Sombra! Corazon de Leon is fantastic. Beyond ecstatic he went to you. Pentagon is someone I was targeting, Johnny Mundo and Caristico as well. Love the Lucha, will help my roster out quite a bit. I got a few of them to come home to you as well. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dr. A:</strong> OSPREAY. He is perfect for my roster.. just perfect. Ibushi, Tozawa, Flamita, Eita, Hulk. Glad I can reach those guys through TAIL as well. Very excited for that.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NLG:</strong> Rest assured, had I been able to pick AJ instead of Rollins, I would have been none the wiser. Great first round pick. Orton is great. Matt Riddle at that spot is genius, he is very hot right now. Fabian Aichner is cool, I had him on my list as well. Andy & Trev too.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tardelli:</strong> Cesaro is one of my favorites. Roddy, Daniels, Axel all on my radar bigtime, good snags. Peyton Royce is the queen.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>D-Knucks:</strong> Joe, Machine Gun, Hero are cool. I was looking at Lethal out of all your picks, and maybe Kaz Hayashi. Hope all is well.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Uncrewed:</strong> The entire roster, my dude. The concept is awesome, it is tons of fun to play. Really wanted the Bucks but figured I wouldn't get them, extremely bummed I couldn't get Cedric, very big fan of his as of late. Gulak, Nese, ACH, Lio Rush, Londrick, DIY. Great roster. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

I don't really care for drafting networks and all that, so I guess by default the DINGO first round pick haha. I do all that stuff in-game usually, I don't care much what happens to my company while you guys play haha. Lot of good drafting. Only worker who I think went way too early is Rey Rey because he is always one match away from injuring himself. Especially in-game.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p>

Exactly how I see fit. Max size is cult, don't care much for rising up or down, just want to continue to have the best lightweights fly around each other, or ground each other in some cases. Love it. And the possibilities that TAIL presents are also exciting.</p>

<p>So I've been checking out Japan because I don't normally play there and it's a treasure trove.</p><p> </p><p>

There are like 30 people over 40 who can still go in ring who I can hire on 3 to 6 month contracts and have them put over my midcard to raise their pop. Some of them have potential for permanent roles in something other than wrestling too.</p><p> </p><p>

Jushin Thunder Liger - I'm so hiring him and transitioning him into announcing. Dr A you should definitel look at doing that for Chikara Japan in your game as he's perfect for Chikara and he's got better announcing skills than the guy you already have already.</p><p> </p><p>

Masahiro Chono - If I can coax him out of retirement for a short run he'll be useful and then his colour stats are very appealing. He's an okay road agent but given Japan's poor booth strength his mid 70's mic and colour skills are probably wasted backstage.</p><p> </p><p>

Keiji Mutoh - He's still a huge star at 54. Not as good on the mic as Chono but still a better colour guy than what I have. His price might be too high to justify moving him to colour right now.</p><p> </p><p>

Minoru Suzuki - WTF - He's like 49 and can go bigtime in ring but long term it's thoses 80's on the mic and colour where he can pay off big time. He's a better version of Chono and Mutoh but not as popular.</p><p> </p><p>

Ultramantis Black - It's an intensive language course for you my boy. He's 80 on the mic and in the 70's for both announcing and colour and is decent in ring. Dr A - hire him as he's the 2nd best announcing skill score available in Japan behind Daisuke Sugaya who I already have and he's CHIKARA blood - sure you need to spend time getting him to learn Japanese but long term it's probably worth it! Heck I'd say to Kijar hire him too because he fits your product and those skills mean he's a great back up for your booth. The USA has better announcers and colour people to choose from but for your product few are a more natural mental fit. I just wish we had foreign announcing teams in game because I can just imagine Okada putting Balor through the table of the English announcing booth in my head.</p><p> </p><p>

Dr A - I'd recommend hiring Fuka but make sure it's for everything not just out of ring. She is 33 has okay in ring skills so can be used to work the occasional match, she has 72 psych and almost 75 sex appeal so she can work eye candy or normal matches, has 62 in both announcing and colour but only 57 on the mic. So she's like 2 points on mic skill behind the guy you have now on the mic and 7 down on announcing with 8 years to improve before she reaches his age. She's not an instant draft choice but such a good back-up long term choice that should be hireable for next to nothing. Weirdly she is also a pretty decent booker. Most importantly - she has a really cute smiley pic which screams CHIKARA to me.</p>
