<p>I appreciate the feedback! I was hoping to put across the redundancy of Lex Luger's moves, so apparently that worked! I'm not very good at writing up long, detailed match descriptions, so I try to get the main parts of the match put in leading up to the ending. Hopefully that's just enough to paint a picture as far as what's going on in the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

As far as posting a roster, I've tossed that idea around and ultimately decided against it, and here's a few reasons why;</p><p> </p><p>

My company is only regional and has an extremely small roster, just enough to avoid me getting a penalty every show. I plan on keeping it that way as long as I can.</p><p> </p><p>

I want to incorporate new wrestlers on a regular basis and run a design much like the NWA did back in the 80's, which saw many workers come and go and work territories. My company will maintain a group of workers but I always want people wondering who's going to show up next. Some may be bigger names, others may be unknowns, but I always want people guessing. As long as I'm in the actual alliance, this will be a regular as I'm constantly loaning and trading workers with other companies.</p><p> </p><p>

I have no idea how long Curt Hennig is going to be NWA champion. The AI is also constantly booking Hennig on other shows, so I hope they don't have him lose it to another guy like Billy Two Eagles.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm hoping that my writing will explain who is face and heel. I know there will be a period of time to get this clear as I've got to introduce everyone to my roster. While some of these names are well known now, at the time of this game, all these guys are nobodies. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks (in-game wise) it will become much more clear who is face and who's heel.</p><p> </p><p>

I plan on posting the next card here soon for predictions!</p>

Keep in mind most of this information are rumors, however,</p><p> we are told it's from a very reputable source within the company.</p><p> </p><p> - Paul Roma was apparently backstage for <em>Showcase</em> but for whatever reason, wasn't used on camera. We aren't sure if he was strictly there in a backstage capacity but the rumor going around was that he was going to work a match but it was scrapped at the last minute.</p><p> </p><p> - There apparently was some major backstage heat on Randy Orton for his selfish behavior. This is a huge concern for Eric Bischoff because while the company does have high hopes for the talented performer, they can't continue to put up with issues week after week from him. At this time it isn't known how they will go about solving this problem but one option is supposedly bringing in his father, Bob Orton, to try and cool down the younger one.</p><p> </p><p> - Speaking of Randy, this is currently really affecting plans for him within the company and his apparent feud with NWA National Champion Samoa Joe.</p><p> Fans are getting rather confused who they are supposed to support in this feud. Orton comes off as a natural heel which is reportedly not want Eric Bischoff and the NWA want at this time. It's unknown how this will play out.</p><p> </p><p> - Before the show this week, Eric Bischoff reportedly sat down with Roddy Piper and Horace Hogan. These two are said to not have gotten along at all,</p><p> which was events stemming from their WCW days. All reports indicate that the meeting went extremely well and that the original hostility was a huge misunderstanding on Horace's part. He had just gotten into WCW and was told some really bad rumors from bad influences. Horace and Piper had a good talk and things are reportedly much better between them now.</p><p> </p><p> - Bryan Danielson was in the talk quite a bit this week. Some fans came out of the show thinking he was used too much. Others, including road agent Dwayne Bruce aka "The Sarge" said after the show that Danielson is a "star in the making" and has the potential to make the NWA "serious money."</p><p> </p><p> - The debut of Lex Luger was very tight lipped and the only person who knew was the person who signed him - Eric Bischoff. For those unfamiliar with Luger in the recent years, Bischoff and Luger became friends during his last run in WCW. Bischoff had earned a reputation in the last couple of years of resurrecting former well-known stars and getting them back to their former glory before they retired. Bischoff is most known to successfully do this with Vader and Luger. Luger's last run in WCW, while very successful, was abruptly cut short due to a bad drug test that resulted in immediate termination. Lex Luger took this exceptionally well, though, and is reported to have turned his habits around as such. Luger's new-found attitude impressed Eric Bischoff so much that close friends found this signing no surprise, as Luger was a huge target for Bischoff to aquire. Everyone was extremely surprised, though, to see Luger accept a deal for such a smaller company, even though he is making a very lucrative per-show deal.</p><p> </p><p> - There are expected to be more big names to follow Roddy Piper and Lex Luger's debuts in the NWA. We've also learned that while Bischoff is planning a "rotation" of stars, neither of the aforementioned names are expected to be short-term.</p><p> </p><p> - Expect the women's division to be a focal point of the NWA. There are several more stars expected to debut and Eric Bischoff is feverishly working to get a working deal in place with All Japan Women's Wrestling. Word is </p><p> that All Japan is being very strict with who they're willing to trade their talent for.</p><p> </p><p> - Sunshine Network and NWA staff are extremely happy with this week's NWA Wrestling Showcase. Viewership was also the best it's been since the first episode aired.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> For a few notes from the rest of the wrestling world;</p><p> </p><p> - The WCW Nitro main event featured Buff Bagwell vs Ric Flair. This is notable because the match was stopped after Bagwell suffered an injury while attempting a Buff Blockbuster. Bagwell landed awkwardly on his neck which caused great concern given his prior neck injury. Medical reports confirmed that he suffered a broken neck and will be out for over a year. This comes as a huge blow for Bagwell as he has gained a cult-like following over the last year and has been putting on consistently good matches.</p><p> </p><p> - Triple H has been getting some heat backstage after a radio interview he had where he completely went off about Vince Russo. We're told from backstage WWF sources that this has caused a huge rift between the two to the point they can't even be in the same room together.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We have this weeks NWA Wrestling Showcase card!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44482" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/NWA%20Wrestling%20Showcase_zpsibd8we1d.jpg</span><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Main Event</span></strong></p><p> Abyss vs CM Punk</p><p> </p><p> Lex Luger vs Horace Hogan</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>NWA Women's Championship</strong></span></p><p> Allison Danger vs Lisa Marie Varon ©</p><p> </p><p> The Island Boys vs Big Dick Dudley & Ballz Mahoney</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Tonight, The Island Boys square off against Big Dick Dudley and Ballz Mahoney. The announce team,</p><p> Todd Keneley and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan tell us that ever since the buyout of ECW by the WWF, the former ECW stars have been trying to find their spot in the wrestling world and they've now ended up right here in the NWA. One can only speculate how long we'll be seeing this duo, or if any others may show up, that's just the exciting action you get here in the NWA!</p><p> This match saw all the classic traits of an old-school tag team wrestling match. The Island Boys used their size and uncanny agility to take it to the extreme wrestlers. In much the same, Mahoney and Dudley didn't hesitate to put their bodies on the line to try and gain an advantage. The Island Boys proved to everyone watching why they are the force in the NWA to be beat.</p><p> Kimo put Dudley down after a high flying body splash from the top rope.</p><p> <strong>Winners by pinfall: The Island Boys</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Rating: D</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/Roddy%20Piper%206_zps1rjnmd20.jpg</span></p><p> - After everyone is able to settle after the introductory bout, bagpipes begin to fill the arena, which causes the crowd to stand on their feet. Roddy Piper strolls out with a giant smile on his face. Piper makes the short trip down the aisle and into the ring where he pulls a microphone from his leather jacket.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#0000FF;">Let me just say that this company is getting off to the greatest start I've ever seen!! It ain't even been a month yet and this place has new people showing up every week and let me tell ya, this week's no different! Last week, things got a little heated with CM Punk and, well,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I may admit that I got just a liiiiiiiiiiiiittle worked up by his big mouth.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Well tonight he's gonna pay the Piper! But that was last week and this is this week and we've got a new show for you tonight and with that is new confrontations! So what I'm out here to do right now is officially sign the match for </span><span style="color:#0000FF;"><em>Special Attraction</em></span><span style="color:#0000FF;"> between NWA National Champion Samoa Joe and the challenger Randy Orton!</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Now before I bring both of those men out here, I'm gonna say, I know how these types of things turn out usually and most of the time one of the men end up laying on the floor! Well things are different in the wrestling world and I'm gonna give a warning to both of these fellas that there will be no physical confrontation and that we're gonna play it straight. We're going to have an official contract signing between two stellar young talents and we're going to show everyone that we have more class than any other company,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> so boys, get on out here!</span></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/Randy%20Orton%200_zpswkz4x0th.jpg</span></p><p> Orton makes his way out first and he appears extremely confident, almost to the point where the crowd isn't fully supportive of him. He steps into the ring and looks Piper up and down. Piper offers a handshake but the young Orton,</p><p> who possibly is familiar with the relationship Piper had with his father,</p><p> doesn't take him up on the offer.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/Samoa%20Joe%202k2_zpsaqchphu5.jpg</span></p><p> Next, NWA National Champion Samoa Joe makes his way out. The championship belt is around his waist and he looks just as confident as he makes his way to the ring, his eyes not looking off of the challenger at any point. Joe appears that he doesn't even see Piper in the ring and just stares at Orton.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#0000FF;">Alright, alright boys, we still got a bit of time away from </span><span style="color:#0000FF;"><em>Special Attraction</em></span><span style="color:#0000FF;"> so save some of that aggression for then! Mr.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Orton, since you're the challenger we're gonna have you sign first! All you gotta do is sign your name where it says your name, provided you're able to read it!</span></p><p> </p><p> - An unamused Orton leans down and, without incident, signs his name on the contract before tossing the pen down and gives an overconfident smirk to the champion. Joe just stoically stands there, now with the title belt over his shoulder. After a few words are said by both men, Joe picks up the pen and also signs his name. Just as Joe finishes signing his name though, Orton takes the opportunity to deliver a cheap shot by clubbing the back of Joe with a vicious forearm. A quick beatdown ensues by Orton but just to get one final blow in, Orton delivers a swift kick to the damaged right knee of Joe.</p><p> He's a tough man, but a man nonetheless and it causes Joe to crumple to the mat. The announce team mention that Joe's been battling a knee injury that he sustained in the very first episode of Wrestling Showcase. Orton appears confident with the work he's done and can only hope it enhances his chances of a victory at <em>Special Attraction</em> and winning the championship. Orton slowly exits the ring and backs up the ramp as he looks at the champion downed in the ring.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Rating: D+</strong></p><p> <em>Randy Orton underperformed while Roddy Piper's performance was fantastic</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/NWAWomens_zpsewiznjt9.jpg</span></p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NWA Women's Championship</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="OnRpsZu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OnRpsZu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/Lisa%20Marie%20Varon%204_zpsid426zdz.jpg</span><strong>©</strong></p><p> Women's champion Lisa Marie Varon tests her abilities in this title defense against little known Allison Danger. We're told by announcer Todd Keneley that Danger is a transient in the wrestling world who has now been given an opportunity in the NWA. It doesn't come at any easy task though as she has to do it against the women's champion. Varon proved why she is the top woman in the company as she's got a vicious streak a mile long. The difference with Varon though, is she destroys her opponents in a cold,</p><p> calculated way that is very much reminiscent of Jake Roberts. Danger tried her best but it didn't take long before Varon put her away with the Widow's Peak.</p><p> <strong>Winner by pinfall: Lisa Marie Varon</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wtoRGpd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wtoRGpd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/Horace%20Hogan%202_zpsm1zohfvm.jpg</span></p><p> - No joke, this was probably the match of the night and really stood out and played well to both men's strengths. Luger had the crowd firmly behind him in this match while Horace, who's doing a really fantastic job at staying out of his uncle's shadow, pulled his own weight in this matchup. Horace did everything he could to use cheap tactics to give him an advantage but the veteran instinct of Luger really prevented most of them. Horace attempted the tried and true method of getting into a test of strength with Luger,</p><p> but quickly found out that was the worst thing he could've tried. Luger quickly cinched down on Horace's fingers, causing him to scream out in pain.</p><p> Hogan had a few moments where it looked like he was going to take over the advantage but Luger fired right back with a series of clotheslines.</p><p> Luger quickly then dropped Horace with a forearm shot and just like the week prior, hyped up the crowd by signaling for the Rack. A second later,</p><p> Luger hoists Horace up and he has no choice but to tap out, being on the receiving end of a Torture Rack two weeks in a row!</p><p> <strong>Winner by submission: Lex Luger</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Rating: C-</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/CM%20Punk%20Rookie_zpsmuza7wym.jpg</span> vs <span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/Abyss_zps5vvmfuo5.jpg</span></p><p> Finally it's time for the much-anticipated main event where CM Punk will test his abilities against the Monster Abyss. The announce team run us through the course that brought us here, where CM Punk was trying to best Roddy Piper. It all ended up backfiring on him last week when Piper announced Punk would be facing the Monster this week, testing if he could back up his claims of being the best in the world. While Punk still looked as confident as he could, there was still a visible unrest coming from Punk as he stood in his corner across from Abyss. The match began with Punk not sure how to go after the monster, so he just went straight for him. This turned to be a mistake quickly learned though, as he went for a clothesline and just bounced off the masked monster. With Punk down on the mat, he just sits perplexed while Abyss towers over him. Abyss quickly reached down and clasped his huge hands around the throat of Punk. The referee yelled and did his best to get Abyss to break the choke, but Abyss shocks everyone watching as he lifts Punk by the throat straight off the mat and then tosses him down with ease. The audience, and announcers, all gasp and shout out at the pain that must have caused.</p><p> </p><p> Punk rolls on the mat in agony and Heenan remarks that this was just the first move by Abyss and it seems impossible that Punk could withstand much more. He predicts the main event ending in short order. Punk proves to be resilient though as Abyss goes to attack again but this time Punk gives a solid rake to the eyes, staggering the big man for just a second. This is long enough for Punk to go on the attack, giving a quick double dropkick to the knee of Abyss. After he drops down to one knee, Punk bounces off the ropes and connects with a loud kick to the side of his head, which echos throughout the arena. Abyss goes down and Punk quickly goes for the cover. Before the referee can even get into position to count though, Abyss kicks out,</p><p> causing Punk to fly through the air. Abyss sits up and Punk moves in but he gets caught again by the throat. Abyss keeps the hold as he gets back to his feet and Keneley predicts Abyss will be going for a chokeslam. This proves to be a right prediction as Punk gets lifted high in the air and crashes to the mat with the force of two Mack trucks colliding. Rather than go for the pin though, Abyss looks down at his prey. No one is really sure what the big man is thinking before he exits the ring and begins to look under it. In rather unorthodox fashion for the NWA, Abyss retrieves a leather bag. The announcers guess what could be contained inside this bag, as does the crowd. No one wonders for long though as Abyss climbs in the ring and dumps the contents on the mat. Everyone reacts in horror as they see shiny,</p><p> silver thumbtacks get scattered on the mat. Abyss pulls his hair as he turns toward Punk, who's still down. Abyss screams out as he goes to pick up Punk. The referee is doing his best to get the tacks out of the ring and while he's turned, Punk found enough energy to give a swift kick between the legs to Abyss! He may be a monster but a man is a man, and that'll be the great equalizer for anyone. The referee was successful in getting most of the tacks out of the ring and turns to see Abyss down on both knees. Punk composes himself enough to start laying in kick after kick, in similar fashion to chopping down a tree. Abyss fails to drop fully to the mat though and actually begins to slowly get back to his feet in between kicks!</p><p> </p><p> Seeing his failed attempts, Punk gives a bewildered look as now both men are on their feet. Abyss slowly begins to stalk toward Punk and the crowd grows in anticipation. Punk holds up his hands in an attempt to beg off Abyss, but it's to no avail. Seeing no other alternative, Punk quickly exits the ring and begins his own search under the ring. It only takes a second as Punk gets what he was looking for, or maybe it was the first thing in sight,</p><p> a steel chair. Punk slides back into the ring and the two wrestlers seem to have a bit of a stalemate. Punk holds the chair, threatening to hit Abyss with it. Abyss doesn't seem to mind though as he still slowly stalks toward Punk.</p><p> The referee is trying his best to reason with Punk, telling him that if he uses it he will be disqualified. Punk continues to threaten but it doesn't hold off Abyss. Abyss slowly gets closer, and closer and then...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>THE LIGHTS GO OUT!</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The lights come back on and everyone is left in shock!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="WAw5tkF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WAw5tkF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#A0522D;">Heenan: What the hell is he doing here?!?!?</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The crowd takes a second to register just who they're seeing in the ring.</p><p> Once the realization comes that Raven has just debuted, the crowd explodes. He stands behind Punk, who still has the chair. This has stopped Abyss from moving forward and he just stands there. Punk isn't sure what is going on but he knows Abyss has stopped his advance. After Punk has sensed there is something going on behind him, he turns, seeing Raven standing now in front of him. There's a brief second of a confused look on the face of CM Punk before he doubles over, a direct result of a quick kick in the gut by Raven followed immediately by a ring-rocking Evenflow DDT!!!</p><p> Raven bounces back up to his feet as he looks down at CM Punk. The referee quickly calls for the bell, as this match has ended in a disqualification! Everyone is trying to grasp their mind around the fact that Raven has just debuted in the NWA.</p><p> <strong>Winner by Disqualification: CM Punk</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Rating: E+</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match has ended but Raven manages to take a microphone out of his leather jacket.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#800080;"><strong>CM Punk, best in the world? Hopefully the shows keep delivering. I have to apologize for one of my prior shows where the images for the Island Boys were incorrect. I do not have the Headshrinkers or Rikishi on my roster. I'll have news and notes posted later on which will include the final show before my monthly PPV event - Special Attraction.</p>

It isn't known who the rib was directed at or what the rib actually was, but Bischoff seemed to dismiss it as it really wasn't a big deal. We're told nothing else was said about it the rest of the night.</p><p> </p><p> - CM Punk also was brought before the locker room after spending way too much time looking at himself in the mirror. He apparently was admiring himself so much, other workers couldn't use the mirror to get ready. We've learned that Roddy Piper issued a "punishment" to Punk to buy drinks for the entire locker room after the show. CM Punk learned from his narcissistic behavior and seemed to improve his attitude.</p><p> </p><p> - Raven was rumored to be a very last minute signing that the NWA was hoping to have completed by their first Pay Per View.</p><p> </p><p> - There is expected to be a huge announcement regarding the tag team division and the NWA tag team titles this week on <em>Showcase</em>.</p><p> </p><p> - Despite the angle on this week's show, Samoa Joe's knee is said to now be at 100%. Eric Bischoff is extremely pleased that he's back to capacity and that the title match between Orton and Joe at <em>Special Attraction</em> won't be hindered.</p><p> </p><p> - The WWF has gotten some heat after they took what people have said "tasteless shots" at WCW during the airing of Shotgun Saturday Night.</p><p> They were said to be in such bad taste that the show was "ruined."</p><p> </p><p> - Bill Goldberg, after signing a lucrative deal with the WWF, has only wrestled once since starting there in May. He wrestled Bushwacker Luke where he was victorious. That was the last he was seen until this past Monday on Raw where he had a brief opening skit with Vince McMahon. The angle didn't seem to go over very well.</p><p> </p><p> - News from the WCW front, Ric Flair and Booker T are rumored to be starting a feud.</p><p> </p><p> - The Ultimate Warrior was signed by WCW back in June but oddly enough, he has only been used in skits on Saturday Night. We've learned that he does have a deal signed as an in-ring competitor, however, he hasn't wrestled at all since re-joining the company. His last short run in WCW during October 1999 was very well received and he was used in an excellent capacity where he shockingly debuted only to side with Hollywood Hogan. This marked the first time in his career turning heel.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We've also learned the card for this week's NWA Wrestling Showcase. This is the last show before their first ever Pay Per View on Sunday, which Eric Bischoff is doing his best to stack to impress not only viewers, but potential sponsors and other networks. The card is as follows:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44482" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><span>http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad191/hendersonjon/WCW/NWA%20Wrestling%20Showcase_zpsibd8we1d.jpg</span><p> </p><p> <strong>Horace Hogan vs Bryan Danielson</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Trish Stratus vs Mickie James</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Randy Orton vs Barry Horowitz</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Plus!!! <p><strong>Horace Hogan</strong> vs Bryan Danielson</p><p>

<em> for the heck of it. Interference or something if you have to, but given Hogan's performance with Luger, you have to keep his momentum reasonable</em></p><p> </p><p>

Trish Stratus vs <strong>Mickie James</strong></p><p>

<em> more of a pick 'em, but at this stage of Trish's career she wasn't known for being very good in the ring</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Randy Orton </strong>vs Barry Horowitz</p><p>

<em>Orton's challenging for a title, so he needs to stay relevant. Perhaps some interference from Samoa Joe, or a post-match beat-down?</em></p>

We have breaking news on the front of NWA;</p><p> </p><p>

- We've learned through very close sources that the NWA offices were raided by the FBI just days before <em>Special Attraction</em>. We don't have much on the story but what we have learned is that the joint partner that Eric Bischoff went in with in order to start the NWA was already under an embezzlement investigation (which we're thinking Bischoff was unaware of). The FBI is reported to have exited the NWA offices with a large amount of money seized. We don't have an exact amount, but some reports are saying it's in the multi-millions, which we didn't even know the NWA had.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

This has got to be a huge impact to NWA as well as their capability of booking shows. There has been no official word yet from the NWA regarding the surprising visit or regarding the event this Sunday. If all the NWA's funds were seized, they are going to be unable to carry on their schedule. We're hoping for some kind of official statement soon from Eric Bischoff and the NWA. </p></div><p></p><p></p>

That's the only thing I can ask at the moment. I had everything ready to go for the first event for the NWA. We were just finished with Wrestling Showcase. Everything seemed to be going to plan.</p><p> Raven had just arrived, Lex was doing a phenomenal job, Curt was raising the prestige of the NWA world title all around the US. Then it started.</p><p> </p><p> Punk and Bryan tell me they won't be available for Special Attraction. They must have been tipped off......I'm home Saturday morning and I get a frantic call from Sophie in the office that the FBI just barged in with a search warrant.</p><p> Not only did they completely trash the office, they took our funds. Their excuse was that it was "potential evidence" in an investigation my partner group is involved in. I was floored. I didn't have any idea what to tell her.</p><p> Suddenly, I hear the beep on my phone for another call coming in. I'm thinking I'm saved by having to come up with something to tell Sophie,</p><p> but I'm wrong. I tell her to hold on and I answer the other line just for it to be the police asking me to come down for questioning. I tell them that I can be at the station in 30 minutes and go back onto the line with Sophie.</p><p> </p><p> <em>"Sophie, I just got a call from the police wanting to interview me....I gotta go, I'll have something for you later on.......Hopefully...."</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The entire way down to the police station, I'm trying to wrap my head around just what in the hell is going on. Since I left WCW I had been trying to get the ball rolling on a new company. I wanted to get back into it as fast as I could. I already signed up a lot of potential talent for WCW's developmental promotion and I knew time was running out to sign people that were still left. I had several other friends in the entertainment industry that knew my aspirations and a few of them jumped at the chance to help me start up a new wrestling company, especially one as identifiable as the NWA. I didn't think anything of it. I knew them for years and never expected them to be involved in anything questionable, otherwise I wouldn't have put my name on it and risk ending up in the spot I'm in now. Then all the sudden it hit me;</p><p> </p><p> <em>WHAT IF I GO TO JAIL</em>?!?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I could possibly be driving to the police station and staying there. I'm startled back to the present after hearing another car's screaming horn at me. In my daze, I let off the accelerator and was coasting down the road.</p><p> I then start questioning my decision to leave WCW. I knew things were going too perfectly. The NWA was going great and exactly where I wanted to to be, better, actually than I even predicted. For a brief second I wondered if Ted was behind all this. Giving a false report to the police in attempts to derail my success, but then I just thought that was a ridiculous thought.</p><p> Ted isn't ruthless like that. If I were still with WCW, I'd think that would be a stunt perfect for Vince, but even he would get nothing out of sabotaging my new company like that. I don't even pose a remote threat to Vince and the WWF. Then, as I'm pulling into the police station, I'm just hoping this is all a bad dream and I've simply fallen asleep while trying to finalize the plans for our first event.</p><p> </p><p> That's not to be though. I walk into the police station and tell them my name and the detective I'm there to meet with. I wait a few minutes and then am brought into a small, cold, simple room with just a table and two chairs. A quick thought goes over my head to Vince and how many times he's been in this position. What the hell does he even think about it now? I'm more nervous than I've ever been in my life. The detective goes over several questions with me about my friends and their entertainment group. I tell him that despite knowing these people for a few years, I'm not very close with them. I've never been a part of any of their ventures or co-op'd anything with them prior to the NWA. He tells me that they have strong ties to an organized crime ring and that the funds used to upstart the NWA are identified as dirty money. In that short statement, I've realized that everything is lost. As quickly as it began, it crashed down even faster. The detective assures me that their investigation and surveillance has shown that I'm not involved in their corrupt little ring and that the NWA, the company itself, will not be seized by the government due to my name being the only one on the documents. That gives me little consolation though. The money is gone. Not only is it gone, but my company is now hugely in the negative. It's a black hole that is inescapable. There's no money to book venues. There's no money to pay workers. There's no money to pay production. I have negotiations pending with a few workers, ones that I was trying to finalize before our event....What am I going to tell them now? Better yet, are they even going to want to be associated with my company? I can't even pay them what I offered now. There's no doubt word of what's happened has already been announced. The Sunshine Network was already annoyed with me over the shows. My pay per view provider probably won't even want to do business with me.</p><p> </p><p> I don't know what to think. All of these thoughts are running through my head while I'm sitting in this little room. The detective tells me no charges are being filed on me and that they just wanted to interview me for more information. At least I'm not going to jail, but now what am I going to do? I essentially have no company anymore. I leave the police station and get back in my car. I sit for what feels like forever trying to gather my thoughts. Everything has been turned upside down in the matter of 3 months. The NWA is dead in the water. It's only a matter of time before I have to declare bankruptcy. Though I may be innocent, no one is going to want to go into business with me on anything else. I could put feelers out there with other companies, but that isn't what I want. I'm done following anyone else's direction. That's why I left WCW. I don't want to simply book wrestling shows. I have a vision that I want to put across to the wrestling world. I'm not finished, but is the deck stacked against me? I start my car and begin to pull out of the parking lot. I dial up Sophie on my car's phone and she answers.</p><p> </p><p> <em>"Sophie, there's nothing else you can do. Just go home for now."</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> She says a few words, not upset at me, but understandably upset. Shortly after my call ends with her, I get another call. I guess this is how it's going to be for awhile, everyone calling to find out just what in the hell happened. I don't even know myself. I know most of the calls aren't going to be pleasant, especially ones coming from the talent. I'm going to have to call every one of them. All those guys that have busted their ass for me to make the NWA a surging company so fast. Guys who stuck their necks out for me and believed in my vision. Guys that I never even expected would do that. Curt and Lex were so fast to join me. I never thought they would. Not only did they join me, but they worked harder than they have in years. Lex especially could have just gone through the motions and collected a paycheck every week, but he was working <em>hard</em>! Anyway, I answer the phone and I'm not shocked to hear it's an executive with the Sunshine Network. They heard what happened and don't want any association with the NWA. He doesn't care about hearing that I'm not involved. Their board had an emergency meeting in this short time and they all had a consensus that the NWA is a tainted company. I exhale after I get off the phone with him. I guess I can't really blame them. I get home and toss my keys on the counter. My wife is out on her tennis lessons. I guess those are going to have to come to an end. I think how am I going to continue to pay for this house, my car, my plane, all these things when I don't even have an income anymore. I hear my computer go off...</p><p> </p><p> <em>"You've got mail....."</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ****ing AOL. I forgot to even cancel that service. Every time I turn around,</p><p> it just seems to be a reminder of nothing but bad things. I check my email just to find one more negative; my pay per view broadcaster just pulled out.</p><p> They're refusing to air <em>Special Attraction</em> tomorrow. No TV, no pay per view, no events that can even be booked, no money to pay talent. I sit on the couch, my head in my hands, trying to grasp everything and think of something. I need to start contacting talent before they travel for the now non-existent show. I think it'd be much quicker to put out an official statement and fax and email to the entire NWA just so they can all be notified. Then I can start calling people individually to explain what happened more. Then my phone rings again. I let it ring several times, not wanting to answer it, but I finally do. I can't listen to the ringing anymore and make a mental note that I should unplug it after I'm off this call. It's a very familiar voice, one that I'm not entirely shocked to hear; Ted Turner.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#0000FF;"><em>"Eric, I heard about what happened................"</em></span></p></div><p></p></div><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>That's what I'm trying to figure out right now. After that happened, I can't really justify immediately opening up a new fed. I'm sure after reading the opening thread to this dynasty, you guys can figure out where I ultimately want to end up. For those not sure, I won't go right out and say my direction though.</p><p> </p><p>

I will say that I've simmed up past January 2001. The "issue" I've run into with WCW is that they're a very solid company. Despite their crashes that are put into this mod, they are an extremely wealthy company after I had built them up since the start of the game in 1998. For some reason, I thought the narrative built into this mod would have caused Ted Turner to go out of ownership, but that doesn't happen.</p><p> </p><p>

So I have a few directions I can choose to go because I don't want this to end, but I'll have to play it out. I will give an update as to what's taking place in the game world, but as of right now, and somewhat true to life, Eric Bischoff is unemployed from June 2000 to what is now about March 2001.</p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">January 2002</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

It's been awhile since I've written. So many things have happened, not just in the wrestling world, but in the world in general. In a continuing effort to show just how out of touch he is, Ted promoted Ian Rotten to be the replacement head booker for me in WCW. About the only things he's gotten right was having the world title go back and forth between Scott Steiner, Hulk Hogan, and Booker T. It's a little bittersweet on the end for Booker. I had long been setting him up for a run with the title because he was well deserving. The rest of WCW is a complete mess and WCW has been steadily dropping ever since I left.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

Perhaps this would finally be a wakeup call to Turner. He's been slowly pushed out of control of that company after the AOL/Time Warner merger in 2001.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

The WWF has been doing their best to shove WCW to the back of the line and seem to have moved on from that "war." They now have focused on the surging company in Japan, NJPW. The WWF managed to steal both Rey Mysterio and LA Parka from WCW. LA Parka has actually been the reigning Intercontinental champion since November. Kevin Nash went on to have a run with the WWF championship only to lose it to Goldberg. At least they finally started doing something with Goldberg. Probably the biggest shocker of all though was Mankind beating Goldberg for the title back in October.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

He's still the champion.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

Meanwhile, I've been doing my best to let the dust settle from that horrible storm in June 2000. Not only did that rock me financially, but it did personally as well. I had to do a lot of self thinking after that. I thought about everything I did in my career, in my personal life, and what I wanted to do in the future. I reached out to people for other business ventures.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

This time though, I chose my friends more wisely. While the FBI never touched my personal finances, thank God, I still had to find a way to earn an income. I didn't just want to fade off into the distance and stay at home.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

I still had plenty of ideas. That's when the ball got going. I looked at the wrestling business as a whole and realized that it had been declining for a long time. After 9-11, I think everyone in every sports field was trying to find their identity and where they wanted to go in the future. Everyone was beginning to realize just how little, petty things don't matter. Society also seemed to be wanting more. More gore, more gritty, believable things.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

People were no longer entertained by hokey, child-like entertainment.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

You couldn't have "viking" gimmicks or the typical foreigner gimmick anymore. People wanted to always feel like they were part of the inside workings of things. The internet certainly didn't help with anything. The business has been exposed in almost every aspect. Kayfabe seems to be dead and gone and people are all too smart to everything going on. It seems that people can no longer suspend their belief for anything. It seems like the motto now is "</span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><em>If it ain't real, it ain't fun.</em></span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">"</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

So I once again had to get creative and think how I could make an impact on the sports world. I really enjoyed what I had starting with the NWA, but unfortunately, all those events really burnt me out on trying anything again.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

I had opportunities where I could go and book, but I really wasn't in to that either. I left WCW because I didn't want to keep following other people's horrible direction. I got calls from all kinds of organizations wanting me to come on and book, despite everything that happened with the FBI and my former partners. Luckily, everyone in the wrestling business recognized what happened and didn't hold anything against me for it. So many smaller promotions wanted me. Vince McMahon even offered me the head of talent and booking in the WWF. He said it would be the ultimate experience in wrestling, having the two of us go head to head in the same company.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

He thought it was a golden opportunity to make money and create a new buzz in the wrestling world that's so desperately needed. He was probably right. I mean, who would ever expect the two of us to finally go face to face after everything that had happened? It would create a ton of cash and controversy and if there's one thing I know, is that controversy creates cash.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

But I wasn't interested. Not only would I still be under the same restrictions that I ultimately left WCW because of, but I just didn't want to. Vince probably would have been even more restrictive of what I could and couldn't do. Not only that, but I don't find any of that to be a challenge. Honestly,</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

I was getting bored with WCW and that's part of the reason I left. I like to challenge myself. I want to find new experiences and test them out. I want to do things that people haven't done or tried before. Just like all those new innovations I came up with in WCW, from starting a weekly live TV broadcast, to expanding the Pay Per View format to more than just 3 shows a year, bumping it to 6 shows a year and then finally 12 shows a year.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

I want to do something that's going to put a buzz in the entire industry.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

It took me a long time to come up with something. Then it took me a long time to find someone to trust enough to join with me. Like anything in the sports world, you can't do everything on your own unless you're a billionaire.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

I finally found both though. Needless to say, I'm extremely excited about the prospect and I can't wait to make an official announcement. One thing's for sure though.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

This is gonna be a big impact!</span></p></div><p></p></div><p></p>

March 2002</p><p>

<span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"><span style="font-size:24px;"><strong>BREAKING NEWS!!!</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Here at PWI, we pride ourselves on being the first breaking news source for anything in the wrestling world, and today is no different!!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

We have it on good authority that Eric Bischoff has been looking into several business opportunities within the last year and a half that he's been out of the wrestling picture.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Word has it that ever since the FBI raid and subsequent shutdown of the National Wrestling Alliance, which he founded, Bischoff has been wanting to get back in the scene of the sports world. We have a few inside sources who have confirmed that Bischoff has been working in the last several months to secure financial backing for yet another attempted venture.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Eric Bischoff is not expected to be joining any current existing promotion.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Many thought after the founding of ROH that Bischoff would be going on board. Though that promotion has exploded with momentum out of the gates by signing talent such as Rob Van Dam, Stevie Richards and others, we're told that Bischoff is not interested in that company.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

We've also heard rumblings about another promotion on the verge of being named official. Energy giant Panda Energy is said to be exploring the possibility of getting into the rising wrestling scene by coming up with their own company. We're not sure at this point what it would be called or who it would be run by, but we've learned that Eric Bischoff may potentially be the front runner to be in charge of things.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Whatever the case may be, expect a huge official announcement from Eric Bischoff within the next couple of months. Though we have not been able to confirm just what it is he's going to announce, we do have it on good authority to say it is definite that he will be making an official announcement.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

We're told the reason for the delay is that Bischoff is working diligently to set up this new venture and have everything ready to go before an official announcement is made, which this is suspected to be the reasoning because he doesn't want to jump blindly into a problem like he did before.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

We also have news that some big contracts are coming up for both the WWF and WCW. The WWF has contracts such as Triple H, The Undertaker, and The Rock. Meanwhile WCW has contracts of Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Sting, and Randy Savage coming up. We're expecting both companies to at least put a bid on all of those stars as it would be a huge coup for either company to land even one of them. Though WCW has been doing very well lately running off the feud of Booker T and Scott Steiner over the WCW World Championship, it would be a huge blow to WCW to lose any of their stars after losing Bill Goldberg to the WWF.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

Speaking of The Rock, his debut film The Scorpion King is due out soon and folks in the movie industry are saying this could be the beginning of a huge breakout for him. Critics have raved about his performance.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

There also seem to be some things brewing in the WWF. They have long been in a battle with fellow namesake the W.W.F, or World Wildlife Fund over a dispute about the initials. This is a decades-long legal battle which we're told is finally coming to an end. An official ruling is expected soon.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

We've also heard reports of potential locker room trouble within the WWF.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';">

While we haven't been able to pin down exactly what is going on, ABC is claiming to have an exclusive inside story on the WWF which will impact the company down to its core. They are being very tight lipped on just what exactly they have as they don't want any other networks getting a hold of it before they have a chance to report on it, but they have been hyping it up for the last couple of weeks. Expect an exclusive report from them soon.</span></p>

I'm about to go out to a press conference full of people in the sports world and media. All the major broadcasting groups are here; NBC, ABC, Fox, CNN (ironically enough). Even the lesser media groups are here; MSNBC, E!, BBC. I don't remember the last time there's been this much speculation in the mainstream media for anything wrestling related. I've heard the rumblings. I've heard the rumors. Everyone.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>Everyone</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">. Flash bulbs can be heard going off and bright lights flash in the small room. Bischoff steps up to the podium that has just a simple black background behind him. Bischoff runs his hands through the top of his hair before settling himself at the podium and taking a second to look out at all the media.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">I want to thank you all for being here and all of you for your expressed interest in what I plan on announcing today at this press conference. I've received many calls, mail, and in-person questions about what I've been doing the last year and a half. I've had many people tell me the rumors that have been running rampant in that time. All the rumors and speculation as far as what I have planned next. Where I plan to go, what I plan to do, and what new, exciting project I have planned.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I've heard the rumors that at any second, any day I'll be returning to WCW.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Rest assured the only way I will be returning to WCW is if I own the company. I've heard rumors that I'll be joining Vince McMahon in Stamford to be the new head of talent relations and booking. Please trust me when I say while that's tempting, and would cause major headlines in the news,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I have no interest in doing so. So those are not the reasons for this press conference to be called.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I've heard rumors that I'll be taking over the new promotion called Ring of Honor. While I've received an offer from them, I don't have any desire to do that.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> And I've heard the latest rumor that I'm co-founding the new promotion called NWA: Total Non-Stop Action. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I'm here today, right now, to put all of these rumors to rest. The only way to know for sure is to hear it straight from the involved persons mouth, and that person is me. So, finally, after much speculation and much personal thought for myself, I will dispel any rumor. I can tell all of you that with 100% certainty,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I am not joining any of those promotions. While ROH seems to be a very promising place to work and build, I'm not interested in joining them.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> While NWA:TNA seems like it will also be a great place to build up, I have no interest in going there. To be perfectly honest, I have done that before in WCW and I don't see the need to do it again elsewhere. I've told all of my closest friends and confidants that WCW is and was always my home.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> That will forever be my first "child." I don't get any enjoyment out of replicating what I have already done.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> What I've always wanted to do, not just in wrestling, but also in the entertainment industry is create new, exciting prospects. I enjoy coming up with new ideas that haven't been done before. I like to create a buzz.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I like to challenge myself at any opportunity. So, ladies and gentlemen,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I'm here today and have invited you all here today to explain to you just what my new challenge is. After all the events transpired with the NWA,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I thought about what I wanted to do and what the state of the wrestling world is. I noticed that wrestling has been moving away from the characters,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> spectacle, and break from reality that it's been known for in the past.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Fans are now wanting more action, more realism, more mainstream interaction. The secrets of professional wrestling are long gone. Everyone knows that the people you see on TV are not their real-life counterparts.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> The finishes are all known to be predicted, the storylines all scripted.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> There's very little surprise anymore now that at the click of a button,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> you can see who wins a match on a taped show. Everyone knows leaving the WWF and going to WCW, or who's leaving WCW and going to the WWF.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> There's no shock and the constant feeding of fans makes it even more difficult to surprise.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> I've seen the shift that professional wrestling is facing and rather than continue going down that path, I've decided to forge a new one. I'm also going to lay out my vision for the future because if all you're doing is thinking of the present, you're going to be out of a job in a year.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> First, I want to announce the vision of my new entertainment organization,</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Bischoff Entertainment Television, or BTVision for short. I've realized that broadcasting groups are forever changing and adding and removing content.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Sports companies are constantly competing for better contracts, better time slots. In much the same, those companies are limited by what those broadcasters are willing to air. This goes hand in hand with my new venture that I'm about to announce to you all. The simple fact, no broadcaster is willing to air my new project, so I had to come up with a new vision.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> While I have new financial support for this venture, we don't yet have nearly enough required to launch our network, but I promise you, it is coming in the near future. Another thing I can promise is that to all of you representing your media outlets, you will feel the strain that my new broadcasting group will put on you. I understand the hesitation that your network owners had when I approached them about airing new content and every one of them will be kicking themselves when they see just how successful and popular this new venture will become.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> So after all this speculation and wondering, I'll now announce what this new venture is. After much deliberation and searching, I've decided that the best course of action is to create a new company. This new company is named Resistance Fighting, or "RF" for short. I know that many of you may be wondering just what kind of wrestling promotion RF will be. Well let me help you right there, RF is not a wrestling company. In the growing trend of mixed martial arts, I've realized that this is the action fans are gravitation towards. I've seen several wrestlers, mostly Japanese, taking time off to compete in MMA events. I've seen the popularity of this sport surge much like the wrestling community did in 1996. While there are only a couple of relatively small MMA companies at the moment, I am going to announce right here today that RF will be the leading MMA provider and BTVision will be the eventual launching pad to present it all over the world.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Now for some specifics; RF has already confirmed several stars from around the industry to join us. While not all of these people may be house hold names just yet, I can promise you that in a short amount of time, all of these people will be very well known. I currently have made contact with several people from Japan who are already out and preparing for other MMA fights.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Resistance Fighting is based in the United States in the Tri-State area. Bryan Clarke, Brian Lee, Ron Harris, and the Barbarian are just some established names that have joined RF, which some of you may be familiar with. Contracts have been approved with other, lesser known people such as Travis Tomko, Reno, Samoa Joe, and Yoshihiro Takayama. There are several other fighters that I'm extremely excited to introduce you all to in your homes.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Our first event will be held on the 3rd week in April on Saturday. The event will be called </span><span style="color:#0000FF;"><em>Crowning Glory</em></span><span style="color:#0000FF;"> and it will be a two hour event. Unfortunately, I was not able to procure a provider to put this on TV due to the graphic nature. A list of the matches will be provided shortly as we're finishing up on securing a couple of contracts, but I can promise you all this;</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> This is not a wrestling company and we will not be featuring wrestling contests. The matches will not be predetermined, nor scripted. We have two championship titles, the Heavyweight title and the light-Heavyweight title and the roster will be split by weight group. The contests will be timed at 10 minutes so they will either finish by knockout, submission, or time limit. If a match should run out of time, then a winner will be determined by score. This is an extremely exciting time in the world of sports and I'm extremely excited at the opportunity to bring this new type of competition to you all. This is a new horizon, a new ride, and I can't wait to experience it! Thank you all for your time.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Bischoff gives a smile and collects his papers on the podium before he abruptly walks off. The small room erupts in voices all at once trying to ask questions as Eric Bischoff walks off. More lightbulbs flash as cameras feverishly try and capture the moment. Bischoff nods to the stagehand that introduced him who then tells all media that Mr. Bischoff will not be fielding any questions at this time. Many media colleagues look at one another and question how successful this new venture by Eric Bischoff will be.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44482" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div style="text-align:center;"><div><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">I just did it.</span><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> I've finally announced what people have been speculating on for quite some time now. While in one way I have a huge weight off my shoulders,</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> I just added another. I'm extremely excited about this new project and I can't wait to get it running, but I also hope I'm not made to look like another joke. The NWA took a lot out of me, not just personally, but professionally.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> If this fails, I may not be given another chance in either business. All I know is that I'm putting everything I've got into this. Failure is not in my mind.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> I can't help but wonder though;</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><em><strong>Can MMA compete in the wrestling business????</strong></em></span></p></div></div><div></div></blockquote></div><p></p>

We're bringing you all the news and notes from the wrestling world in addition to the MMA world!

First up, in WWF news;

The WWF and wrestling world was put in shock after Gerald Brisco came out as a whistleblower, exposing the growing problem within the WWF regarding steroid abuse. Brisco reported names to the media such as owner Vince McMahon, Sid Vicious, Triple H, and Chyna among several other names.

These were just some of the more high-profile names listed. There's no telling just how much of an impact this will have on the WWF at this time,

but the thought is of it being substantial.

The WWF also agreed to put an end to their dispute with the World Wildlife Fund and will be changing their company name to World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE for short. This change is said to be effective immediately.

In huge news, the contracts for both The Rock in WWE and Booker T in WCW have been up. In a huge twist, The Rock is said to have come to terms on a contract with WCW while Booker T decided to take the WWE's offer.

Our thought is that WCW has to be coming out ahead on this, as The Rock is fresh off his movie premiere and has been all over the mainstream world.

This definitely is to gain WCW much more exposure. No word is out yet if The Rock's decision to leave WWE had anything to do with the whistleblowing incident.

In the world of Mixed Martial Arts and Eric Bischoff's huge announcement just a couple of weeks ago, we have now learned the official card for the first event for Resistance Fighting; Crowning Glory, which will take place the 3rd week of April in Kansas.

Main Event

Brian Lee vs The Barbarian

Roadkill vs Bryan Clarke

Yoshihiro Takayama vs Ron Harris

Vito LaGrasso vs The Sandman

Bison Smith vs Travis Tomko

Yukihiro Kanemura vs Reno

The roster for RF is said to be now finalized and you may be familiar with the announcer, Todd Keneley. Keneley previously worked with Eric Bischoff at the short-lived NWA promotion and Bischoff was said to be pleased with his announcing ability. He believes that Keneley will be able to transition over to calling MMA well. There is no official word when the next event following Crowning Glory will be, however, it is expected to be spaced out for some time in order to allow workers to heal from their matches. It is also expected there is going to be a tournament of sorts during the first couple of events in order to hold a title match, which will be both for Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight titles. It appears that this first card is more Heavyweight focused, so our thoughts are that the next event will revolve more around the light heavyweights.

OOC:

On a side note, I'm sorry that there appears to be some disappointment with the direction of this journal. I'm sure that what happened with the NWA caused some of the interest to drop and I was hoping that the announcement of transitioning to an MMA promotion would get some of that interest back.

I didn't want to do something that has already been done a million times and take over ROH or TNA. I wanted to do something that is different and to my knowledge, hasn't been done yet in this dynasty section. I have no idea whether or not running a legit fighting company will succeed in TEW, but I'm trying it out. If it fails, it fails. If I'm somehow able to build this company then I think that would be a really neat story.

I'm also a bit disappointed how my game has turned out, but I think this creates a really interesting alternate universe. I didn't ever expect to leave WCW when I was running my game. I definitely didn't expect the NWA to end so soon after starting this dynasty, either.

I know you guys may be disappointed by my roster so far, but there are some things you need to keep in mind;

- I'm only a regional company. I'm very limited by who will join me just by that fact.

- Add in the difficulty I have with getting people to not only agree to join me, but take place in MMA matches. I can't sign Rob Van Dam and have him compete in MMA matches. Not only would he refuse to do that kind of match, but it wouldn't even remotely be believable. I was really excited and surprised when Bryan Clarke (Wrath) agreed to a contract and the match type.

- While Brian Lee never amounted to much in real life wrestling, my company is Performance > Popularity. It's very possible he could become hugely popular in my company and the wrestling world.

I'm really looking forward to seeing if I can pull off creating a broadcaster. As it stands right now, I can't get any TV or PPV deals because of my product, so my own broadcaster will be the only route. If you guys can stick with me, I think this journal will get pretty interesting.

This is a huge event, as WCW is still considered the #2 promotion in the United States. Many though questioned Turner's ability to run a company after he had named Ian Rotten as head booker. I was trying to figure out what to do after my first event because I could get no deals through anyone and I didn't want to keep going on with open events. Then at the end of June 2002, Turner resigned from WCW, leaving it open. I promise you I had nothing to do with that and it happened on its own. WCW dropped from National and then he left. Hopefully things start to get interesting again.</p>

July 2002

- We're welcomed to a conference room at the Intercontinental Resort in Atlanta, GA. A Turner exec stands at the podium amid a series of flashing cameras as he welcomes everyone in. He asks everyone to be seated as he begins the business;

Ladies and gentlemen, I want to welcome you all to this press conference. First, I'd like to talk a bit about the history of WCW. Ted Turner had a vision when he took ownership of Jim Crockett Promotions and leaving the NWA branch. He wanted his company to become a direct competitor in the world of professional wrestling. The mid 1990's saw huge growth in the business and unprecedented success. As competition grew, so did the costs, however. We came to a fork in the road after the AOL/Time Warner merge where officials knew we could no longer sustain operating at a mediocre level. There were personnel decisions made that did not ultimately end up benefiting WCW as a company.

Following a fall in national status, WCW and Ted Turner agreed to part ways. This left an opening within WCW that we haven't seen since 1989. Now, no longer operating with a President, we began an extensive search to find a qualified candidate, not only in running a successful company, but someone with a broad expertise in the wrestling business as well as entertainment business. We had many people contacting us and we've held several interviews. Finally, we were approached by a man everyone here is familiar with; Eric Bischoff.

Mr. Bischoff contacted us, however, he wasn't interested in simply being named the AOL/Time Warner president of WCW. Mr. Bischoff actually gave US an offer. He offered to take 100% ownership and control of WCW. Our board of directors looked at this new option heavily. We concluded that it would be in the best interest of AOL/Time Warner as well as our television networks to separate away from World Championship Wrestling. For several months our board has been looking into the future of our networks and we've concluded that wrestling is not in it. As such, AOL/Time Warner agreed on the acquisition of WCW by Mr. Bischoff and his own investors, but not without its own conditions.

Firstly, Time Warner will remain a minority partner in WCW operations. This is an agreement between both parties that will allow their monthly Pay Per Views to be viewed under that network. However, Monday Nitro, Thunder, and Saturday Night will no longer air on our cable networks. AOL/Time Warner will have no involvement with the day-to-day operations of WCW, budget, or overall ownership of the company. The only involvement we will have is on the broadcasting side. Ladies and gentlemen, I will stop there as that will conclude AOL/Time Warner's involvement in World Championship Wrestling. I will take no questions and will now turn it over to the new owner/President of WCW, Mr. Eric Bischoff.

- A series of flashes go off as Eric Bischoff walks into the picture with a huge smile on his face. He shakes hands with the Turner exec, who walks off without another word. Bischoff takes the podium, extends both arms out each side, and takes a moment to look out at the sea of reporters -

First of all, good afternoon to each of you. I want to thank AOL/Time Warner for taking the time to hear my proposal and having a discussion and eventually coming to terms to something that I feel greatly benefits everyone. I want to thank the group of investors that I've worked with in order to get this deal done. I also want to take the time to thank Ted Turner because without him taking a chance on a young, unproven, bad announcer so many years ago, I don't think I would have gotten my big break in this crazy business.

There's been a ton of speculation ever since I left WCW in the Spring of 2000. I didn't agree with the direction that I saw WCW heading, I didn't like decisions being made, and I didn't like the feeling of having my hands tied behind my back. When I left WCW, I had an idea of where I wanted to go, but no matter where I went, I always had an empty spot in my heart that I knew belonged right here in WCW.

Well now I have no excuse. I will now decide the direction, and I'm the only one who can tie my hands behind my back. I've recognized things that need to be done and I've recognized the changes that need to be done in order to maintain success. Now it is up to me to make those things happen. I am pleased that Pay Per Views will remain on the Turner Network. I am not, at this time, going to discuss just what the specifics of those deals are or for how long. As far as television goes, I can't say that I'm pleased with the decision of removing Nitro, Thunder, and Saturday Night, but that's the direction Time Warner/AOL have gone because they believe that is the direction they need to go for success.

Now, for those of you concerned about the airing of those mentioned shows, there is no worry. In the weeks leading up to this press conference, I, and my group of investors, have procured what I envisioned several months ago. I have taken the plans for Bischoff Entertainment Television, which was intended for MMA fighting, and we have turned that into the WCW Network. It is a commercial broadcaster that will air Nitro, Thunder, and Saturday Night throughout North America. We will maintain airing our shows through other broadcasters outside of North America, however, due to the restrictions from AOL/Time Warner, we were unable to agree to contracts with anyone else in North America. As a result, the creation of our network was absolutely critical, otherwise we would be unable to air anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

I'm also excited to get back and working with the heart of any promotion; the wrestlers. While the landscape has changed a bit from when I left, such as Booker T and Goldberg leaving for the WWE, many others remain and they remain committed. You will continue to see stars such as Hollywood Hogan, Ric Flair, Sting, and Scott Steiner. You will be seeing a new addition, someone who has quickly been making his own mark made in professional wrestling, The Rock, who came to terms back in May which was obviously prior to my arrival. I look forward to working with all of the talent again. With that being said, there are a few orders of business that I need to address.

The first order is that effective immediately, the current booker of WCW, Ian Rotten, has been removed from that role and his contract has been terminated. I want to thank him for the work he had done under AOL/Time Warner, but his style of work just does not fit with the direction I want to take my company. As a matter of cost cutting, I have spoken with, and come to the terms to release the following talent;

Teddy Long

Ray Lloyd (Glacier)

Van Hammer

Lee Marshall

Mark Johnson

One Man Gang

Sabu

Aguila

Taka Michinoku

Kevin Steen

Air Paris

Averno

In addition, I have signed The Barbarian and Bryan Clarke, also known as Wrath, to exclusive contracts and I look forward to their sure contribution and experience they have.

We will begin our new era of WCW starting the second week of July. As a result in a delay in launching the new WCW network, the first couple of weeks, our shows will not be airing in North America. The time table we're looking to launch is probably the 3rd week of July.

That is all the information I have at this moment. I will let you all know that the champions will stay the same but we are looking at reorganizing every aspect of WCW and creating new storylines. We'll pass out information to you all to let you know who our champions are.

It just isn't WCW without Bischoff in some kind of control. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Also, was the Cruiserweight Title retired, or did it even exist in this timeline?

<p>A couple of side notes for you guys;</p><p> </p><p>

I'm really excited I got back into WCW the legit way and not by editing stuff in the game. I was looking forward to the creation of the NWA and was pretty bummed out when that fell through. I was trying to find something else to keep me occupied while waiting for Turner to eventually leave WCW and figured it would only happen when he died or left the business.</p><p> </p><p>

I got the idea for MMA in TEW and thought it would be an interesting concept to see if it would work, so I created RF. I figured I would run that for awhile, but the end goal was always either go back to WCW, or find a way to buy them out. The problem is WCW has so much money, that was likely never going to happen. I was shocked when Turner resigned from WCW and knew that was my opportunity to get back in, even though I had just started RF.</p><p> </p><p>

I actually took over WCW in Week 4, June 2002. The problem was, this was only a couple days before the Great American Bash. I only had a 1 hour Saturday Night show to get it set up, so for those reasons, I'm not including that show into "Bischoff's era." This is also why you guys may see that there are a few new champions that began their reign Week 4, June 2002. The AI for WCW had really messed up the title scene, other than the World title. I'm also not including the shows I booked leading up to the launch of the WCW network for a couple different reasons.</p><p> </p><p>

First; I could not air the shows in North America, so I wasn't really putting my stories into good use. Second; I was still getting things set up to my official "launch." So I view pretty much those couple of weeks as the "dead zone."</p><p> </p><p>

Now for the questions;</p><p> </p><p>

I'm pretty loyal in my games to people who are loyal to me or who do a really good job. Back to the start of my game, Wrath and Barbarian were two work horses and solid mid-card workers for me. I've always liked Wrath and pushed him in my games. There's others that I remain loyal to as well, and that may become evident during this. Steen and Michinoku were really going nowhere, so I released them. I may revisit Steen later on but I thought time on the independent circle would help improve his stats, because they were pretty average.</p><p> </p><p>

I retired the Cruiser title way back earlier in my game. I'll have to look and see exactly when I did, but it may be further back in this dynasty. This is all one game and I haven't restarted it. It's a 1997 mod and is now 2002 in the game.</p>
