***We are back in business, been a busy couple months, life events, cross-country moves, promotions and other excitement, but Anniversary is booked and we are cruising along. And frankly this is the only diary that has held my interest, and it definitely still has it! Goal is to get it fully posted tomorrow, but wanted a brief hype package to lead into it.***

Well folks, this one was just as good! Once again the opener proved that it could have been a main event anywhere in the world. Low-Ki and Matt Jackson started off in the ring and put on an impressive display of both technical acumen and high-spots, this was eerily reminiscent of last months encounter except that both combatants had a counter for everything their opponent threw at them. The fans quickly got behind this early reversal fest and it fed into a dual hot-tag.Nick Jackson got his team the upper hand this time and he and his partner began to work and visibly weaken Lethal. But Lethal managed to wriggle his way out of trouble and get a much needed tag to Low-Ki. Low-Ki started chopping the world and left both Bucks with visible welts across their chests. As Low-Ki took control, the Bucks tried to regroup only to be met by a flurry of kicks and punches from Low-Ki. He managed to knock Nick Jackson clear off the apron and into the barricade, before irish whipping Matt across the ring, tagging Lethal in and hitting the same double-team finisher that led to victory last month for the 1-2-3 and yet another title defense.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners and Still ROH Tag Team Champions: No Gimmicks Needed</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> But before they could truly celebrate ....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> .................................</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ***REACH FOR THE SKY BOYYYYYYYY***</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="l8MTPbW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/l8MTPbW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="QLxbVjg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QLxbVjg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mark and Jay Briscoe</strong> make their long anticipated physical return to Ring of Honor after months of hype videos, they are here in the flesh... Riccaboni reminds fans to subscribe now and be sure to tune in to the Calle Del Dorado to see eight of the top high-fliers in the world duke it out for the right to a future Ring of Honor or CMLL title shot of their choosing. The road to gold will be paved by these men and KUSHIDA is the first confirmed competitor!</p><p> </p><p> As for the match at hand, this one served two purposes, bring the speed and agility of the Time Splitters to the forefront and highlight the continued issues the Horror Kings have had, especially since James Mitchell has been on the scene. The fans were thoroughly entertained and Damien Martinez used his size to control much of the match, unfortunately for Marseglia couldn't keep the advantage and Shelley and KUSHIDA's speed became too much for the Horror Kings. In the end KUSHIDA hit his finisher on Marseglia and got the 1-2-3 victory!</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners: The Time Splitters</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Back in the parking lot a limo rolled up. <strong>Brian Milonias, The Beer City Bruiser and Bob Evans</strong> rushed to the side of the limo, clad in their "King of the Night Security" shirts and open the door... eight beautiful women stepped out and joined security before The King of the Night himself, <strong>Kenny King</strong> hopped out and made his way toward the entrance. </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Women of Honor Championship</em></p><p> <strong>Nattie Neidhart {C} vs. Britani Knight</strong></p><p> </p><p> The stars of the women's division, primarily an exclusive on the Honor Club were out next with Nattie Neidhart looking to defend her title against Britani Knight. This match was actually one of the best women's matches ROH has ever seen, and the fans were quite entertained by two of the top female combatants doing battle here. The division has never really caught the interest of the fan-base though and despite this being a great match, the fans seemed to use this as a bit of a reprieve. In the end Nattie defended her title with a successful submission victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and Still Women of Honor Champion: Nattie Neidhart</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We got backstage where we see the new <strong>SoCal Uncensored 3.0, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Rocky Romero and the Heavy Metal Enforcer, Brody King</strong> in a heated argument with ROH officials and what sounds like another group off-screen. As Xion makes his way to the ring Ian Riccaboni shares the fun fact that as a child Xion entered a design the logo contest and actually designed the first ever ROH logo! As King and his behemoth security team make their way to the ring the announcers point out that his security team may be pushing 1000 lbs and would make a formidable trio for the 6-man tag division. This match itself was a major dud. King and Xion just didn't click the way we would have hoped. In the end King stole a quick pinfall with a roll-up/tight grab combo.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner: Kenny King</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We go to the back where we see Bad Luck Fale, Tanga Roa and Jeff Cobb enter. The Enforcer of SoCal Uncensored charges right at Castle and this one is underway. We expected a physical battle and we got one. King and Castle exchanged blows in the ring and this one immediately turned into a classic slobberknocker. Castle and Brody stumbled out of the ring and now the battle turned towards weapons with both men grabbing canes and swinging wildly at each other the cane strikes immediately create welts on Castle's chest and the cane actually snaps across his chest as King is now left without a weapon. This allows Castle the opportunity to strike back. Both men are bruised and beaten and we are mere minutes into the match. Eventually the action heads back into the ring where Castle wedges a chair into the turnbuckles only to turn around into a dropkick sending him headfirst into the chair he set-up. Brody King tosses Castle from the ring and then the big man goes flying over the top and figuratively through Castle... both men appear to be having trouble getting to their feet but eventually they both make their way into the ring. Brody has set a table up in the middle and he takes Castle up to the top rope... as he goes to lift Castle, Castle manages to get him off balance and both men fall from the top through the table with Dalton Castle landing squarely on top of Brody King and securing the victory... though neither man appeared conscious in the immediate aftermath of the match...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner: Dalton Castle</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As the carnage is cleaned from the ring we get a video package showcasing The End and Matt Taven and their reign as the 6-Man Champs. As the package ends, their opponents for this match make their way out to the ring. The cobbled together but highly skilled team of Fred Yehi, Will Ospreay and Flip Gordon are out to a big applause. The End and Taven are out next to a chorus of boos which they all soak in.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Championship</em></p><p> <strong>The End and Matt Taven {C} vs. Flip Gordon, Fred Yehi and Will Ospreay</strong></p><p> <img alt="5wIQJMM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5wIQJMM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="85QSprR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/85QSprR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Nlkd3lW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Nlkd3lW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="VskZOFh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VskZOFh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="K1Brzw8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/K1Brzw8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OkoebUA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OkoebUA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This one was a clash of speed, strength and moxie. The chemistry on the champs gave them a distinct advantage in the early going, but Yehi, Ospreay and Gordon started to gel around the mid-point and had a near victory when Flip landed a 450 Splash on Matt Taven. Odinson broke the count up at 2.9 and proceeded to toss Gordon straight out of the ring. This was the beginning of the end for the make-shift team. Taven made the tag to Hammerstone and Hammerstone went right after Gordon who was just starting to shake the cobwebs from his crash-landing. Hammerstone lifted him up and hit the Stonebreaker in the middle of the ring but rather than going for the cover Hammerstone tagged in Odinson, as Odinson stepped into the ring Matt Taven tagged Odinson on the back to become the legal man and Hammerstone and Odinson went right after Ospreay and Yehi, engaging them while Taven slid in and made the cover for the victory and defense.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners and Still ROH 6-Man Tag Champions: The End and Matt Taven</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We see the <strong>Royalty</strong> locker room with <strong>Austin Theory, Marty Scurll, Priscilla Kelly, Brandi Rhodes and Cody</strong> all sitting and prepping for the main event. <strong>Cody</strong> looks up and says it is go time boys...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Royalty (Cody, Marty Scurll and Austin Theory) vs. Jeff Cobb, Bad Luck Fale and Tonga Roa</strong></p><p> <img alt="61wS1Tj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/61wS1Tj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CGDvLxD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CGDvLxD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This main event sees Tonga Roa and Bad Luck Fale making a rare appearance in the USA, both are major members of ROH ally, New Japan Pro Wrestling and they've formed a strong, and dangerous team with ROH Television Champion, Jeff Cobb. On the other side, Cody has held the ROH World Title for over a year and is also the NEVER Openweight champion in NJPW where just this year he has defeated all three members of the Firing Squad after defeating Bad Luck Fale for the title at Wrestle Kingdom 13. Marty Scurll lost the ROH Television title to Jeff Cobb, but now finds himself behind fellow Royalty member Austin Theory in the pecking order as Theory won the Top Prospect Tournament and holds the right to challenge for the Television title whenever he pleases. This bout, unlike the previous bout on the night, will be fought under tornado rules, but will be one fall to win it all. All six men square off, and this one gets underway with all six men going for a test of strength which the three challengers win with relative ease. But Royalty manages to get the advantage right back using some underhanded tactics. The 400 sq feet in the ring isn't enough to hold these six as quickly this one spills to ringside. Tanga Roa begins to beat Scurll's head against the announce table and gets a rise out of the fans as he begins to scream at them... Theory and Cobb get after it as well with Theory, perhaps surprisingly holding the upper-hand in this one. Meanwhile, back in the ring Bad Luck Fale and Cody squared off and exchanged clubbing blows. Fale finally chopped Cody down like an oak in the forest. With Cody grounded Fale went to work and wore down the champ. Clearly bad blood between these two carried into the Ring of Honor ring as Fale consistently had to be warned by the official to open the fist...which merely pissed Fale off more and this being a tornado match meaning the virtually everything was legal led to Fale not listening. Theory slid back into the ring and cut down Fale helping his partner regain an advantage. This of course led to Cobb rejoining the action in the ring and taking down Theory. Which led to Marty Scurll flying back into the ring off the top rope and hitting a crossbody to take down Cobb... which he rolled into a modified stretch and tried his damnedest to wear down the big man. Cody was back to his feet but met by Tanga Roa who was bleeding from the forehead, but had himself back in the bout and swung at Cody, only for Cody to duck and hit a spine buster on Roa, promptly forcing him out of the ring again. On the opposite side of the ring Fale was back to his feet and broke up the submission Scurll had on Cobb. In fact he lifted Scurll straight off and tossed him up onto his shoulders, he spread the arms and was about to go for the Bad Luck Fall when Theory pulled Scurll down from Fale's shoulders and a took Fale down. This went back and forth for another ten plus minutes before we got into the final sequence. With Tanga Roa and Marty Scurll isolated outside the ring we had Theory and Cody squaring off against Cobb and Fale, but that didn't last long as Cobb tossed Theory like a ragdoll out of the ring and into the barrier. Now with a Two on One advantage Fale and Cobb surrounded Cody like wolves... Fale pounced first kicked Cody square in the gut, Cody was then rushed by Cobb who in one fell swoop lifted his prone body and swung him around for the Tour of the Islands... Fale went to pick the prone body of Cody up but Cobb stared him down and made the cover himself for the surprise 1-2-3 and upset victory, Jeff Cobb just pinned the ROH World Champion square in the middle of the ring. What will the fallout be... we are just three weeks away from Supercard of Honor and it would sure seem like Jeff Cobb is first in line for a World Title shot.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners: Jeff Cobb, Bad Luck Fale and Tanga Roa</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>ROH and CMLL Present: Calle Dorado (Preview)</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH and CMLL Present: Calle Dorado Exclusive Preview</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> The first of the quarterly specials that Ring of Honor and friends are putting on as exclusives for the Honor Club the Calle Dorado will see eight of the top aerial superstars put it all on the line for an opportunity to take home the crown that will grant them the right to challenge for any title of their choosing in either CMLL or Ring of Honor! So now, without further adieu, let's take a look at the eight combatants selected to compete in this one-day, winner take all tournament.</p><p> </p><p> The four combatants representing Ring of Honor</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">KUSHIDA</span></strong> (Representing both Ring of Honor and his home promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling, the #15 wrestler on the most recent PWI 500, KUSHIDA is a rockstar who typically performs in tag action with Ring of Honor. This will be a showcase for the ROH crowd to truly see how special KUSHIDA is)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Flip Gordon</span></strong> (Typically one of the youngest combatants, Flip Gordon is actually older than Dragon Lee... Flip has struggled a bit to find a consistent route, but he is one of the best high-fliers in the business and is bound to wow the crowd)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Beretta</span></strong> (Beretta is another star that has primarily been seen in tag action in ROH but is a very respectable wrestler in his own right. He, like Flip, is looking for some momentum and could use this tournament as a way to boost his status)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Will Ospreay</span></strong> (The Aerial Assassin is rarely topped when it comes to high-flying, though I'm sure Flip, Dragon Lee and Titan, Will Ospreay has been a breakout star over the last year plus, and has established himself firmly as a world traveler who is willing to go to whatever lengths to prove he belongs)</p><p> </p><p> And the four combatants representing Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Titan</span></strong> (The current CMLL World Middleweight champion, Titan made his ROH debut in December of 2017 before returning in August 2018 for the War of the Worlds tour, during which time he faced the likes of Vinny Marseglia, Flip Gordon and Jay Briscoe)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rush</span></strong> (The head of the famed Los Ingobernables, Rush made his ROH debut in August of 2018 during the War of the Worlds tour where he teams with the Los Ingobernables de Japon to go undefeated across the tour. El Toro Blanco is one of the hottest names in the industry and he's definitely one to watch for 2019)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Hechicero</span></strong> (The current NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight champion, The Wizard of the South, Hechicero is making a rare trip across the border and his first trip to ROH since 2016 when he participated in the 6-Man Tag tournament, ultimately won by The Kingdom)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Dragon Lee</span></strong><strong> </strong>(The current CMLL World Lightweight champion, Dragon Lee is a young sensation who has seen his star rocket toward the sun at dramatic speed over the last year. He makes a return to ROH after appearing in December 2017)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Now let's take a look at the bracket!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="o0CCgIy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/o0CCgIy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>Calle Dorado Card:</strong><p> Flip Gordon vs. Hechicero</p><p> Dragon Lee vs. KUSHIDA</p><p> Beretta vs. Rush</p><p> Will Ospreay vs. Titan</p><p> Semi Final A (Ospreay/Titan vs. KUSHIDA/Dragon Lee)</p><p> Semi Final B (Beretta/Rush vs. Gordon/Hechicero)</p><p> FINALS (Who will win)</p></div></blockquote>

The Wizard of Mexican Technical wrestling is likely the only competitor who is not primarily aerial. He is also the oldest competitor and Flip looked to use that to his advantage forcing Hechicero around the ring and forcing him to chase Flip. Hechicero did manage to ground Flip for a brief time, but Flip was able to counter out with a matrix-esque back bridge and that led to the Star Spangled Stunner for the victory!</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and Advancing: Flip Gordon</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Calle Dorado first round</em></p><p> <strong>Dragon Lee vs. KUSHIDA</strong></p><p> <img alt="vGL8p8M.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vGL8p8M.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6hHDBCu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6hHDBCu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This one is a battle between two of the best high-fliers in Japan and Mexico and the fans were hot for this one from the start. Dragon Lee made his ROH debut in December 2017 and interestingly enough is related to fellow competitor Rush. KUSHIDA meanwhile is well-known around the globe. Lee and KUSHIDA put on an aerial show that lived up to the hype and got the fans chanting "Both These Guys"... The biggest high spot of the match was when KUSHIDA was recovering and standing on the apron and Dragon Lee hit a running Frankensteiner out of the ring and to the floor. KUSHIDA fully stunned was rolled back into the ring, and Dragon Lee hit the impressive Vertical Suplex Powerbomb for the win to the surprise of the audience.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and Advancing: Dragon Lee</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We got a video promo hyping a number of the trios in ROH starting with SoCal Uncensored 3.0 and the addition of the Enforcer, Brody King. Both men ooze charisma and the fans were clamoring for more before this one reached the climax. During the match the announcers put over that Rush is one of the most hated men in Mexico and the fact that he has never lost one of the fame Lucha De Apuesta matches in Mexico. This didn't seem to faze Beretta who put on an impressive showing of his own as a singles competitor. The finish to this one saw Beretta and Rush exchanging blows only for Rush to drop to the mat and hit the Ingobernables signature "Tranquilo" pose before snapping back up and unleashing on Beretta. With a chance to knock off another aerial star, Dragon Lee was quick to pick the speed up, but somehow Ospreay seemed to have unlimited stamina and managed to match Lee's pace. Again building off the previous matches this one took it another step further. Ospreay clearly was watching earlier as Dragon Lee went for the apron Frankensteiner only to see Ospreay flip out of it and land on his feet on the floor to a massive applause. Ospreay then delivered a quick kick to the chest, bending Lee over before hitting an apron-assisted power bomb. He rolled Lee back into the ring and climbed to the top rope where he hit a gorgeous Spiral Tap and made the cover for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and advancing to the finals: Will Ospreay</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Calle Dorado Semi-Final</em></p><p> <strong>Flip Gordon vs. Rush</strong></p><p> <img alt="VskZOFh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VskZOFh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZT7zw0m.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZT7zw0m.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With Dragon Lee eliminated, Rush was CMLL's last hope to advance to the finals. Flip Gordon meanwhile had a chance to advance, and solidify his spot as a rising star. Not only that but it would set-up a match in the finals with his good friend Will Ospreay. Rush clearly didn't care about this and immediately took the fight to a new physical level. This one was a bit of a let down after the previous matches, but that was perhaps because Gordon and Rush just didn't mesh that well. Rush hit the double stomp but didn't stop there as he lifted Gordon and hit the Butterfly Piledriver, known as the Rush Special for the victory and to advance to the finals... </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and advancing to the finals: Rush</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Rush immediately asked for a microphone and in Spanish cut a quick promo saying he didn't need a break and that Will Ospreay needed to come out right now so that he could take his beating.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Rush got most of what he wanted as Ospreay made his entrance, but prior to the match starting we got a really snazzy promo hyping the Ladder Warfare bout that will take place at Supercard of Honor between No Gimmicks Needed, The Young Bucks and The Briscoes.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Calle Dorado Finals</em></p><p> <strong>Rush vs. Will Ospreay</strong></p><p> <img alt="ZT7zw0m.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZT7zw0m.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OkoebUA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OkoebUA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This one day, Honor Club Exclusive truly has lived up to the hype and with the finals, which certainly seemed like a potential final when the bracket was announced, we had a chance to see two of the best wrestlers in the world go one on one with the winner getting the right to any title shot he wants in either ROH or CMLL. The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, and El Toro Blanco, Rush, both have competed in two difficult battles today and now they are set for a third. Both men started this bout out a bit slow with a couple rest holds and tests of strength but once the feeling out phase was over here came the speed. Ospreay quickly reversed a wrist lock and sent Rush into the ropes, following him and delivering a kick that sent Rush to the floor. Ospreay immediately went to the air and hit the Tope Con Hilo sending Rush into the barrier. Ospreay continued the assault on the outside but the brawl seemed to energize Rush as he began to fight back and forced the match back into the ring. Where both men put on a more technical battle than most would expect. Rush threw Ospreay into the corner and hitting the running corner dropkick, sending Ospreay prone into the middle of the ring while Rush went up top for the Double Stomp, but Ospreay moved at the last second and lifted Rush up... Rush is on a written deal with CMLL so he's basically reserved for special events... though I did honestly consider having him win and challenge for the ROH World Title. I really like the ability to crossover brands and develop my game world in this story. I wish Flip would start putting on better matches... That would really help me push him... but alas...</p></div></blockquote>

The announcers mention that the World Warrior has be steadfast in his commitment to being an independent wrestler and that at times sees him fighting all over the world. They speculate that<strong> Low-Ki</strong> was injured during one of these voyages, but never directly say it.... <strong>Lethal</strong> meanwhile continues to speak, he says that not to worry though, the match is still on, because "I've found a <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TOP GUY</span></strong> to fight beside me"...<p> </p><p> The first match of the night once again sees <strong>The Horror Kings</strong> in their fully dysfunctional form taking on <strong>"The Workhorseman" Anthony Henry and his mentor BJ Whitmer</strong>. <strong>Martinez and Marseglia</strong>'s developing hatred boils over here as <strong>Martinez</strong> delivers a high kick to his partner and leaves him to <strong>Henry</strong>, who delivered a huge spine buster for the victory... Post-match, <strong>James Mitchell</strong> grabbed the microphone and put his two charges into separate corners... He says that he has seen enough from his "sons" it is clear that it is time they go their separate ways.... "So, At Supercard of Honor, It'll be <strong>Vinny Marseglia vs. Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> in a LOSER LEAVES TOWN match. Father Has Spoken."</p><p> </p><p> Our next bout saw<strong> Dalton Castle and the Best Friends</strong> defeat the King of the Night security team of <strong>Brian Milonas, Bob Evans and the Beer City Bruiser</strong>. Castle and the Best Friends are clearly ready for their title shot.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> is asking <strong>Josh Woods</strong> what happened last week... before he can answer, <strong>Fred Yehi and "Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> walk into the frame... <strong>Yehi</strong> tells <strong>Woods</strong>, "This is what I was talking about, glad you took us up on our offer." <strong>Lawlor</strong> meanwhile looks straight into the camera... "Remember me. Well you thought you got rid of me, but instead we infiltrated the castle. <strong>Fred Yehi</strong>, my loyal friend, came here under the rouse of the Top Prospect Tournament, the same tournament that screwed me in 2018, and made it clear to me that there was a hole needing to be filled here... Over the last few months I watched from afar and when the time was right I told Freddy we needed one more fighter to bring <strong>Team Filthy</strong> to Ring of Honor... Freddy watched, waited and recruited, and we found him... another fellow MMA fighter... one <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong>... Team Filthy is here... So <strong>Cheeseburger</strong>... buddy... hope you can find a couple friends, because at Supercard of Honor we will begin our climb up the ranks." </p><p> </p><p> We head back to the ring were <strong>Tim Hughes</strong> has already made his entrance... Unfamiliar music plays, and then to huge surprise of the crowd <strong>Zach Sabre Jr</strong> makes his long anticipated return to Ring of Honor. ZSJ quickly taps out <strong>Hughes</strong> and grabs the microphone... "<strong>Marty Scurll</strong>, last week I heard you challenge anyone in the world... well buddy... Let's Dance"</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Hechicero</strong> in a technical bout. <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> joined the announce team during this one and when <strong>Hechicero</strong> went to create his fireball, <strong>Shelley</strong> jumped up and took it the powder from him allowing <strong>Ospreay</strong> to take control back and ultimately win the bout... <strong>Shelley and Ospreay</strong> shook hands as the show went to a final break.</p><p> </p><p> To close the show, out comes <strong>Royalty</strong>, <strong>Cody</strong> with the ROH Title, <strong>Austin Theory</strong> with the Top Prospect Tournament trophy and <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> with well... a microphone. <strong>Scurll</strong> starts off and quickly accepts <strong>Zack Sabre</strong>'s offer. They'll go one on one at Supercard of Honor. With that he passes the mic to <strong>Cody</strong>. <strong>Cody</strong> says that he and <strong>Austin Theory</strong> had a thought... <strong>Austin Theory</strong> will fight for the Television title against <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong>... the fans pop, but <strong>Theory </strong>grabs the microphone... "But we didn't say that fight would be tonight... You see we've decided that at Supercard of Honor... <strong>Austin Theory</strong> will challenge <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong> for the Television title"... and if your into reading into the tea leaves, that means that Jeff Cobb will have to fight in two title matches at Supercard of Honor. Once to defend his television title and once to challenge for the World title. We will see you at Supercard of Honor!</p></div></blockquote></div><p></p><p></p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Supercard of Honor</strong> is one of our largest and most impactful shows of the year and this one is bound to be no different. We have an explosive card and will see all of the major titles defended and eight total matches that will shape the direction of Ring of Honor for months to come. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Winner Takes The Calle Dorado Contract</em></p><p>

<strong>Will Ospreay (Current Holder) vs. Alex Shelley</strong></p><p> </p><p>

This one was born out of mutual respect and admiration for one another. Will Ospreay is a rising star in this business and at only 25 years old is already a multiple time champion across the globe, and even won the 2016 Best of Super Juniors in Japan, but capturing a World title in a top promotion is the next big achievement on the to do list. Winning the Calle Dorado gives him the ability to challenge for any title in CMLL or ROH. But before he does that, he's challenged Alex Shelley and put the contract on the line. Shelley won the Survival of the Fittest, defeating Ospreay, in November and earned the right to face Cody at Final Battle. Despite coming close, Shelley came up just short in his challenge. Shelley and Ospreay have a ton of mutual respect, but despite a ten-year age gap both stand to benefit from this opportunity... This is bound to be a great contest with the winner in a perfect position to challenge for a World title.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Six-Man Tag Bout</em></p><p>

<strong>Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor, Fred Yehi, and Josh Woods) vs. Shinobi Submission Squad (Cheeseburger, ???, ???)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Tom Lawlor left Ring of Honor in October after a disappointing loss to Matt Riddle at Global Wars, prior to that he was nothing more than a nuisance in Ring of Honor and a man who always felt slightly. Upon his departure he said he was training for a return to the octagon but resurfaced recently and during that time introduced us to some of his training partners... Now, refocused and with support, Lawlor brings Team Filthy to Ring of Honor and he's recruited Fred Yehi, who participated and came up just short in the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament, and Josh Woods, who turned on his partner Cheeseburger, to be his allies and eyes and ears with Ring of Honor. On the other side Cheeseburger was left out to dry when his partner Woods not only turned on him, but brutally assaulted him. Now, with mere days to prepare, he's set to make a rare pay-per-view appearance. But whom will he recruit as his partners... all we know is that he is calling his squad the Shinobi Submission Squad, but we don't actually know if he has any allies.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Loser Leaves Town</em></p><p>

<strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. Vinny Marseglia</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Father James Mitchell came into Ring of Honor to lead Damien Martinez and Vinny Marseglia to salvation but instead only found turmoil and trouble. In the last month the Horror Kings not only fell apart but the were blown apart in mere weeks. Not willing to see his "sons" destroy each others careers James Mitchell has announced that they will face each other and it won't just be for bragging rights, it'll be for their careers in Ring of Honor. This is a Loser Leaves Town match that is sure to change the careers of these two former partners.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Six-Man Tag Titles</em></p><p>

<strong>The End and Matt Taven {C} vs. The Best Friends and Dalton Castle</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The Best Friends are a team that has had its ups and downs in the win column since debuting in Ring of Honor nearly a year and half ago, the same can be said for Dalton Castle, but one this is for certain, they display a certain chemistry that seems to work for them. On the other side of the coin we have the destructive force known as The End and their ringleader Matt Taven. The 6-Man Tag Division has been their playground for all of 2019, and they've beaten their opponents before, the question now is can they do it again?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Marty Scurll's Open Challenge</em></p><p>

<strong>Marty Scurll vs. Zack Sabre Jr.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Marty Scurll said it himself, 2019 has been an up and down year for him. He lost his television title, he's fallen down the pecking order in Royalty and he's struggled to re-establish his vision for the future. With that in mind he laid out an open challenge for Supercard of Honor and it was answered by the one and only, Zack Sabre Jr. Sabre Jr and Scurll have a long history, including a run as a tag team, but this will be their first clash in Ring of Honor and will mark Sabre Jr's long anticipated debut with the company! The current IWGP Junior Heavyweight champ, Sabre was voted as one of the Top 10 wrestlers in the world last year and is sure to bring that fight to his former Leaders of the New School partner. A win for either man will go a long way to setting them up as a top contender.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Ladder Warfare for the ROH Tag Titles</em></p><p>

<strong>Jay Lethal and "A Top Guy" {C} vs. The Briscoes vs. The Young Bucks</strong></p><p> </p><p>

This one has a chance to be the best match in Ring of Honor history. Following a disappointing loss at Final Battle to end 2018, The Briscoes took a three-month long sabbatical from Ring of Honor to find the passion that drove them to be the nine-time ROH Tag Team champions, they returned at Anniversary and laid out the challenge, Ladder Warfare, for only the eighth time in company history. The Young Bucks, always daredevils and always up for the challenge eagerly agreed as did the champions No Gimmicks Needed, the no nonsense team of Low-Ki and Jay Lethal who are the reigning champs but mere days before the match it was announced that Low-Ki will not be here as he is out with an injury. Always resourceful, Jay Lethal has said that he has found a "Top Guy" to help him with the title defense, but only time will tell if they will be able to gel, and overcome the odds.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>ROH Television Title</em></p><p>

<strong>Jeff Cobb {C} vs. Austin Theory</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jeff Cobb has been on a warpath since joining Ring of Honor at the end of 2018, in fact he's only lost once and that was at Manhattan Mayhem when Cody defended his World championship against him. After pinning Cody cleanly at Anniversary, Cobb has earned another shot but Royalty had an ace up their sleeve as Austin Theory, the 2019 Top Prospect, announced he'd be cashing in his opportunity at the Television Title, and he was going to do it at the same event that Jeff Cobb would be fighting for the World Title. Now Jeff Cobb needs to prepare to both defend his title and challenge for the most important title in our company. Can Cobb overcome the odds?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<em>ROH World Title</em></p><p>

<strong>Cody {C} vs. Jeff Cobb</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Similar to above but with a slightly different spin. Jeff Cobb is back, and this time he's challenging for the ROH World title against a man who has held the title for over a year. Cody has been an elite force here in Ring of Honor and now with a strong group behind him has stood even taller, but last month we saw a rare break in the armor as Jeff Cobb, along with Bad Luck Fale and Tanga Roa managed to not just beat Royalty, but pin Cody. Now with the chance at the World Title can Jeff Cobb do it again? Tune it to Supercard of Honor to find out!</p><p> </p><p>

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p>

{OOC} Had a lot of fun building to this one, really was disappointed when Ladder Warfare fell apart thanks to Low-Ki getting hurt... Coincidentally the injury happened in my MLW diary which is run using this same database and while I don't directly mention the MLW diary I enjoy that they run in the same parallel universe and if you really wanted to you could find some fun easter eggs. For example, this injury was the finish to the last MLW show (Show #2) I posted. I'm still debating the long-term viability of the MLW diary and also if I want them to crossover into this realm but for now, they are separate but fun challenges.</p><p> </p><p>

The little breaks I've taken have actually allowed certain things to match-up to reality which is both cool and coincidental. Examples being Jeff Cobb and Brody King. I've also used some real-life poaching by WWE (War Machine, Ricochet, Riddle, Keith Lee, EC3) to keep the game world fresh. It's not that I don't trust the AI, but they don't exactly handle certain things the way I'd want for story purposes.</p><p> </p><p>

This show helps set us up for some fun things over the 2019 Summer in game. So this one will keep chugging along! I try to book this as similarly to how ROH would in reality and that keeps this fun. I've had chances to sign certain guys and I just pass over it because well, it wouldn't be realistic enough for me. That's not to say I won't do some (the women who WWE released that I snapped up) and some prediction prizes and such but I want this to feel like Ring of Honor not WWE-Lite.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

---------------------</p><p>

Some fun notes from the game world. WXW is somehow producing some massively over guys, I just looked and something named Absolute Andy would be the second most popular guy in ROH, shrugs... good thing they are in Europe. Impact is alive and appear to be doing well. They have regained the #2 spot in the world and are doing it on the back of Alberto El Patron, Johnny Impact, Matt Sydal, Lashley and El Texano. They may have a user induced shakeup coming though...still haven't decided. (Would likely just be having Lashley leave to WWE and maybe have El Patron go off the deep end for bit... he's due).</p><p> </p><p>

Speaking of the WWE, NXT had an AI-induced shakeup in February when Alex Wright became head booker... Jeff Jarrett also joined NXT as a manager. Shane Thorn is the NXT World Champion, having held the title for six months, Nick Miller is the NXT North American Champion, having been crowned the first-ever champion (keeping in mind when this game started, December 2017). The Ealy Twins are the Tag Champions and somehow very over. And Billie Kay is the Women's champ... great work Australians. On the main brand, Bobby Fish is the Crusierweight champ, Jeff Hardy the Intercontinental, The Bar are the Raw Tag champs, and Sasha Banks the Raw Women's champ. The New Day are the Smackdown Tag champs, Ruby Riott is the Smackdown Women's champ. Angelo Dawkins (HUH?!) is the United States champ, Jinder Mahal has been the Universal champ for a year and Finn Balor is the World Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Lastly, I didn't post the prediction contest update... I haven't forgotten, will keep tally and update as we get through the next steps.</p>

<p>Gutted I missed Calle Dorado. Would've selected Rush to win it all, but Ospreay winning opened up a fun match with him and Shelley.</p><p> </p><p>

Quick Picks:</p><p>

Cheeseburger, ???, ??? vs. <strong>Team Filthy (Lawlor, Yehi, Woods)</strong></p><p>

Alex Shelley vs. <strong>Will Ospreay</strong></p><p>

Marty Scurll vs. <strong>Zack Sabre Jr</strong></p><p>

ROH 6-Man Titles: The Best Friends and Dalton Castle vs. <strong>The End and Matt Taven {C}</strong></p><p>

ROH Tag, Ladder Warfare VIII: Jay Lethal {C} and "A Top Guy" vs. The <strong>Briscoe Brothers</strong> vs. The Young Bucks</p><p>

Who are Cheeseburger's partners (Both currently with company)? <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong></p><p>

Who is "The Top Guy"? Watch it be Flip, but I'll say <strong>Dash Wilder</strong>. Going with a debut after all.</p><p> </p><p>

The TV and World title matches are a tricky situation. Cobb could keep both, which would be a fun visual. Could keep the TV and lose the World, vice versa, or lose everything. I like the idea of him losing the TV title and Royalty feeling extra confident, only for Cobb to shock everyone and walk out as champ.</p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: Switched my pick. Call it a feeling.</p>

<p>Cheeseburger, ???, ??? vs. <strong>Team Filthy (Lawlor, Yehi, Woods)</strong> The new debuting team/trio obviously pick up the win here imo. </p><p>

Alex Shelley vs. <strong>Will Ospreay</strong>. I have high hopes for this match and hope Ospreay wins and blooms in this postion. </p><p>

<strong>Marty Scurll </strong>vs. Zack Sabre Jr</p><p>

Loser Leaves Town: <strong>Damien Martinez</strong> vs. Vinny Marseglia. This could go either way both have very similar looks/style I just prefer Martinez personally.</p><p>

ROH 6-Man Titles: <strong>The Best Friends and Dalton Castle</strong> vs. The End and Matt Taven {C} The End And Taven have been dominant and strong but feel like it's time for Best Friends and Dalton to shine</p><p>

ROH Tag, Ladder Warfare VIII: Jay Lethal {C} and "A Top Guy" vs. <strong>The Briscoe Brothers</strong> vs. The Young Bucks. If not only for Low-Ki being out think we are doing our ROH Briscoes Tag Champs run <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>ROH World: Cody {C} </strong>vs. Jeff Cobb</p><p> </p><p>

I am going against consensus and picking Cody. Mainly because I don't think Jeff is ready yet. Though from a storyline perspective it would totally make sense if Jeff did win here and I would not be shocked if that was the outcome. I am just going by my own personal bias here. </p><p> </p><p>

Who are Cheeseburger's partners (Both currently with company)? I have to agree with The Lariat and go with <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong>. Because Stan Hansen would never lie to me.</p><p> </p><p>

Who is "The Top Guy"? Words cannot describe how much I want to make this the Beer City Bruiser but I am going to go with <strong>Kenny King</strong>.</p>

Castle and The Best Friends have really found a new gear since teaming up full-time a few months ago, but no one has been able to slow the ascent of The End and the puppet-master Matt Taven. Tonight this one was one of the better Six-Man tag efforts we've seen from the reigning champs and Odinson and Hammerstone laid into the Best Friends leaving both prone on the apron as they honed in on Castle. The former ROH World Champion though showed his mettle and held on for dear life, managing in the process to swing the bout back into his teams direction. Matt Taven tagged in and went straight after Castle, only to be met with a strong right hand, and quick tag to the now recovered Chuck Taylor. Taylor hit Taven with the Awful Waffle, tagged Castle back in and went full-speed across the ring taking both Odinson and Hammerstone with him to the floor. Castle lifted Taven, BANGARANG. </p><p> </p><p> 1</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 2</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 3</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We have new champions!!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners and New ROH Six Man Champions: Dalton Castle and The Best Friends, Beretta and Chuck Taylor</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> While the new champs were celebrating in the ring, they were interrupted by the familiar... </p><p> </p><p> K</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> i</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> N</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> G</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Brian Milonias, Bob Evans and The Beer City Bruiser</strong> were out as a limousine pulled onto the stage, The King of the Night security team opened the door and out stepped <strong>Kenny King</strong> with a hot mic. What a dream match. The fans were popping from the get-go and this one continued to set the standard for the night. Scurll and Sabre have a long history as both allies and rivals and this one highlighted that with both men seeming to know everything about the other. In the middle there was a fun bit where Scurll hit his Finger Snap only for Sabre to recover and hit the same maneuver on Scurll. Ultimately this one wound up as a chain wrestling fans dream as the two men spent nearly five minutes exchanging holds and submissions without ever leaving the mat. Back and forth they went to the oohs and aahs of the crowd. Sabre locked in a Kimura-Esque hold only for Scurll to manage his way out of it and slide behind Sabre. Sabre expecting the Chicken Wing blocked that maneuver and spun away, he went for the High Kick but Scurll ducked, and leapt into the air grabbing Sabre and locking on the Crossface Chicken Wing out of midair. As they crashed into the mat, Scurll managed to tighten the grip and Sabre had no choice but to tap out.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner: Marty Scurll</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-match neither man left the ring and they stared each other down before sharing a mutual look of satisfaction and basking in the glow of the match as the faithful reigned streamers down onto them.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> As the ring crew set-up for the next bout, we got a great video package highlighting all of the previous Ladder Wars and showing us the feuds that led up to this one.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Ladder War </em></p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal {C} and "The Top Guy" Steven Walters vs. The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Young Bucks</strong></p><p> <img alt="JNvytgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JNvytgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tGYDCin.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tGYDCin.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="l8MTPbW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/l8MTPbW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="QLxbVjg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QLxbVjg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8378v4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8378v4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NEHdvLg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NEHdvLg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Lethal was forced into a tricky predicament here having to find a partner on short notice, but he found one of the best pure wrestling Tag Specialists in the world and has brought "The Top Guy" Steven Walters with him to Ring of Honor. With Low-Ki only out for a few more weeks what does this mean for their partnership and if Lethal and Walters win, who is Lethal's chosen partner to be champion with... Meanwhile after taking a three month sabbatical to find themselves as professional wrestlers, Dem Boyz are back and look fitter and crazier than ever. And last but not least... the truly innovative and psychotic, Young Bucks... The bell rang and all six men went after each other. Riccaboni quickly pointed out that on the "internet" The Young Bucks previously have antagonized Walters and made fun of his style. As for Walters, this kind of bout doesn't favor his Carolina-Style of All Fists, No Flips, but that didn't seem to slow him down at the start as he landed a Lou Thesz Press on Nick Jackson and unloaded on his face.</p><p> </p><p> The Briscoes sat back and enjoyed the carnage as Lethal and Matt Jackson went at it for a minute... Until Mark and Jay decided to join in and get this one really going throwing Lethal and Matt from the ring and then promptly flying over the top rope after them. This left Walters and Nick Jackson in the ring and allowed them the spotlight as they exchanged left and rights until Nick Jackson hit a SUPERKICK and sent Walters to the corner.</p><p> </p><p> The first ladder came into play as Jay Briscoe threw Matt Jackson into one at ringside and Mark Briscoe promptly set-up another ladder balancing it on the ring and the barrier. The Briscoes laid Matt on the ladder, but before things got out of hand Jay Lethal made the surprising save and took it to the Briscoes. From the sky though Nick Jackson entered the picture taking out three men in the process and leaving a pile of bodies on the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Ever the opportunist, Walters pulled the ladder into the ring, set it up and climbed it quickly... As he reached the top... Matt Jackson leapt from the apron, springboarding off the ropes and into the ladder sending Walters flying to the floor, the ladder crashing to the ground and the Holy S^#! chants to the sky.</p><p> </p><p> Things progressed and more and more ladders made their way into the picture... but so did Tables... and Chairs... and a chain, which Jay Briscoe wrapped around his fist and connected with the skull of Steven Walters with. The Briscoes took the upper hand and Mark and Jay lined up three tables at ringside, a ladder was set up next to the tables and Mark Briscoe climbed it as Jay Briscoe did battle with Jay Lethal at ringside... Briscoe took the advantage and tossed Lethal into the pile of tables... Mark took to the sky and crashed through two of the three tables and Lethal. Leaving more carnage than before. This wasn't particularly well thought out though as now Jay Briscoe was left to fend for himself against both Young Bucks. Despite having the chain, Matt and Nick's double-team was enough to take Jay Briscoe down and set him on the third table... which Nick then moonsaulted through leaving Matt Jackson as the only man standing... Matt pulled a ladder into the ring and set it up and slowly began to make the climb towards the belts...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> He reached up and got his hands on them but the ladder went flying and Matt too hit the mat as Steven Walters was back to his feet, and now knocking the slobber out of Matt Jackson. He hit a spine buster directly onto the fallen ladder and now it appeared that Walters would be able to climb the ladder unencumbered.</p><p> </p><p> He pushed Jackson's crippled body to the floor and reset the ladder in the middle of the ring...</p><p> </p><p> "Steven Walters in his Ring of Honor debut is going to take the eight steps to glory and grab the belts and allow his ally, Jay Lethal to remain the Ring of Honor Tag Team champion!"</p><p> </p><p> Walters is six steps up... Nick Jackson somehow, some way flies back into the ring climbs up behind Walters and delivers a Suplex back to the mat...</p><p> </p><p> Jay Briscoe is back up as is Jay Lethal... They square up and then out of nowhere Mark Briscoe throws a chair and connects with Lethal... Jay Briscoe grabs the chain and wraps it around Lethal and the barricade.. Lethal is a prisoner of the ring barrier now. </p><p> </p><p> The Briscoes slide into the ring... Nick Jackson is unsuspecting and slowly back to his feet... JAY DRILLER. ... Mark is up to the top on the opposite corner.... FROGGY BOW onto Matt Jackson who is still prone on the mat... Jay and Mark set up the ladder and in unison head up and retrieve the belt... All Jay Lethal can do is watch as he is strapped to the barricade. Walters walks towards barricade where Lethal is, but starts yelling at the Young Bucks that he is through with them... Matt and Nick turn around slowly and face Walters who is standing near Lethal, but has yet to free him... Just then another figure in the same varsity jacket that Walters had on strikes both Bucks with a crutch across the back.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Nkj7ttP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Nkj7ttP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> AJ Kirsch immediately yells "that's Steven Walters partner from the Carolinas and in the WWE, that's <strong>K.C. Cobb makes his entrance with no non-sense and no pretense. He's here to fight. </p><p> </p><p> The bell rings and Cobb goes straight after it. Reigning club-like lefts and right onto the body of Theory. Theory to his credit handles it well and fights back, forcing Cobb to retreat slightly and shifting the balance of power momentarily. </p><p> </p><p> Cobb, wanting to defend this title and win quickly, seems to be conserve a bit of energy and that allow Theory to take advantage at times. Ultimately though Cobb's brute strength gives him the upper hand he hits a snap suplex that sends Theory through the ropes and to the floor... Priscilla is over immediately to pick Theory up and regroup with him. They huddle together but Cobb quickly leaves the ring and sends Kelly running. Theory is tossed back into the ring... Cody is crushed into the corner and immediately going into defense mode, which definitely wasn't his plan. Cobb had Cody's number last month and that showed here. Cody didn't have a single answer for Cobb in the early going here. Cobb man-handled the champion and as the blood continued to flow from his forehead just seemed to be getting madder and madder, and stronger and stronger. Cobb delivered suplex after suplex after suplex to Cody and Cody was in full retreat mode... Cody fled the ring to regroup and this led Todd Sinclair to step in and insist that Jeff Cobb needed to be bandaged up before this one could continue... </p><p> </p><p> The medic entered the ring and reached for Cobb but Cobb batted him away and sent him flying from the ring... he did drop the large bandage which Cobb just picked up and slapped onto himself... He yelled at Sinclair to start the count and Sinclair forced Cody back into the ring.</p><p> </p><p> With the momentum slowed for a bit Cody swung the pendulum his way and took the fight back to Cobb but Cobb fought him off and sent Cody reeling once again. At War of the Worlds next month, "The Aerial Assassin" Will Ospreay is coming to take that belt from the Golden Boy...</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> BAM, that's Supercard of Honor for you. Hope you enjoyed it and hope the twists and turns make some sense. I went back and forth for awhile on if it would be Cobb winning both, Cobb losing the TV and winning the World, or Cobb losing both and ultimately chose the Brass Knuckles causing a loss and an "injury" that weakened him to both keep him strong, keep the belt on the heels (Royalty) and get the TV title onto a more appropriate person. Cobb's lack of stamina did him in and the match ratings sucked for those two (D vs Theory, C vs. Cody)... the fans also don't likely dirty finishes... but oh well.</p><p> </p><p> As for the three former WWE guys who made a debut... That was actually the 2018 year-long prediction contest prize. The winner got to select names from a group of potentially misused or better used in ROH candidates but I held the right to book them as I pleased... When Low-Ki went down I decided that Walters (Dash Wilder) would pair with Lethal, but lose... This was because his partner McKnight (Scott Dawson) was actually also recovering from an injury (hence the crutch shot to the Young Bucks). The Revival vs. Young Bucks is a bit of a dream match for some and I'm making it happen... Copyrights and such lead me to changing there names (McKnight and Walters) back to indy names and giving the team a new, more appropriate name. The Top Guys.</p><p> </p><p> As for the Prince of Queens... Well Curt Hawkins is way more entertaining when he has a storyline where he might win a match... so he's joining the club-scene.</p><p> </p><p> I have something in the works but I'm still working on how to present it best. For those of you who have followed this closely you'll notice I try to keep this relatively realistic. Even with the Revival coming in it is because there is a story for them, and frankly I think they fit ROH better than WWE. I try not to just purely "fantasy" book and I hope that comes through. The game throws some great challenges (Low Ki's Injury) and I like to keep the game fresh by making the WWE/Impact/NJPW do things they would do it reality... well what does that bring me too...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> All Elite Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> In this game it is April 2019. If you are a big indy fan you are aware of what was announced yesterday. I am debating if I will be bringing AEW into this world. If I do I am debating if it will be as a spin-off diary or just a way to really throw a wrench in this one... Any how... Just things to ponder.</p>

<p>Yeah I did not want to answer that question correctly because I had a bit of an inside track. However, I still stick by Beer City Bruiser being a top guy if there ever was one.</p><p> </p><p>

As far as AEW, I am not sure you should include it. Mainly because it would mean you would have to gut your roster. That is assuming you would give Cody, the Bucks, etc written contracts.</p>

<p>ROH Announces Two New Signings</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">Ring of Honor Exclusive: Two Rising Stars Set To Debut in Toronto</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> With the War of the Worlds tour about to kick off with three weeks of television and a pay-per-view, Ring of Honor and NJPW will once again showcase some of the best wrestling that both of these companies have to offer. One week before the tour kicks off Ring of Honor returns to Toronto for the first time in over a year and a half and with it they will be bringing two international superstars to Ring of Honor for the first-time.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hr4Sg3I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hr4Sg3I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>"The Brass" Mark Haskins</strong> has wrestled all over the world, and now he is bringing his hard-rock, fast-paced, in-your-face style to Ring of Honor. Having impressed ROH officials two years ago with partner organization RevPro, Haskins has long been on the radar of Ring of Honor and after a lengthy negotiation, Ring of Honor is thrilled to be bringing him in full-time.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="QN5ZaSt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QN5ZaSt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> On the other end of the spectrum, and also making his debut in Toronto will be Haskins first ROH opponent, <strong>Bandido</strong>. The Mexican Luchador who has been dropping jaws online with his breath-taking blend of flawless aerials and impressive technical skills. Bandido recently joined NJPW for his first tour of Japan and will be making his American debut full-time with his deal with Ring of Honor, but first he'll be making his Canadian debut as we head to Toronto this week. He will take on Haskins in what will prove to be an incredibly challenging debut, and will also take part in the War of the Worlds tour representing NJPW and ROH on the undercard. The 24-year old Bandido has unlimited charisma and despite the mask is clearly one to watch!</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> OOC: Definitely agree with BHK1978 to some extent re: AEW. Would force a total recalibration but also would bring some new names to the forefront and potentially create a third diary in this Universe (joining the MLW diary that I'm keeping just for a way to interact with different wrestlers that we won't see in ROH and a different way of story-telling). It would also present a big challenge in logistics. I did just add NXT UK to my game world just so the WWE has more of a real-feel. Again, I'm having fun making this realistic.</p><p> </p><p> I think my compromise with myself in leaving AEW out (for now) is that I am running the All-In style show this quarter as the second quarter exclusive on Honor Club. That show will likely determine the direction I'll go, but that's a bit away... I will probably call it Double or Nothing instead of my planned name of Independents Day, but we shall see.</p><p> </p><p> Regardless... having a lot of fun with this.</p>

<p>ROH TV: April 2019 Weeks 2 and 3</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROH TV, April 2019, Week 2</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Fresh off Supercard of Honor, <strong>Royalty</strong> makes their way to the ring to bask in the glory of their victories. <strong>Cody</strong> proudly holds the ROH World title aloft while <strong>Brandi</strong> polishes his other titles he's captured in Japan. Meanwhile <strong>Austin Theory</strong> proudly has the ROH Television title draped over his shoulder and <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> is prancing about, discussing the defeat of <strong>Zack Sabre Jr.</strong> They begin to cut a promo only to be interrupted by <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong>. <strong>Cobb</strong> comes out with fresh stitches above his right eye. He says he knows what Theory did but that's beneath him now... he doesn't care about the Television Title... He turns straight to <strong>Cody</strong> and says that this one isn't over... He'll step aside for now but <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong> will climb that mountain and dethrone the King, he looks straight into the camera and tells ROH officials that on the upcoming War of the Worlds tour he wants to face the best that NJPW can send his way to prove that he is still the best.... This leads the Aerial Assassin himself, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> to come out! <strong>Ospreay</strong> congratulates Royalty on a successful night, but says they seem to be forgetting that Cody's next challenge is already here, and that man is <strong>WILL OSPREAY</strong> and he's going to end the tyrannical reign of <strong>Cody</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Our first match sees the newly minted <strong>Kings of the Night (Brian Myers, Rhett Titus and Kenny King)</strong> accompanied by their personal security detail easily defeat three enhancement talents that Ian Riccaboni identifies as <strong>Sean Maluta, Anthony Bowens </strong>and former ROH punching-bag, <strong>Grizzly Redwood</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we see <strong>Flip Gordon, Hangman Page</strong> suddenly walks up and mentions that both of them haven't exactly had the "breakout" people predicted. Page challenges Flip to a match later tonight which Flip gladly accepts.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The End (Odinson and Hammerstone)</strong> easily dispose of the now Dalton Castle-less <strong>"Boys" Brent and Brandon Tate</strong>. Post-Match, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> says that losing the 6-man titles hurts, but "The End" is now focused on destroying and annihilating the tag division, and with Matt Taven leading the charge that's a given!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> and <strong>Hangman Page</strong> had a fast-paced, fun bout, meant to highlight both mens strengths. In the end Flip hit the Star-Spangled Stunner on Page for the victory, but both men did well here and both will be featured in a months coming.</p><p> </p><p> We get a promo from "The Farm" with the <strong>Briscoes</strong> and their newly captured Tag Titles. The Briscoes say that they ended 2018 on a high-note in Japan by capturing the World Tag League and then started 2019 (in April) after a sabbatical on a higher note by becoming the ten-time ROH Tag Champions. Through that experience they've come to realize that the two of the best in the world reside in Japan and that those two are who they are granting the first title shot of this reign... STAY TUNED.</p><p> </p><p> Wrapping up their stints with ROH, <strong>KUSHIDA and Titan</strong> defeated <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> in a very solid bout that showcased all four men and made <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> look like a team that may one day have a legitimate shot in the tag division!</p><p> </p><p> The announcers inform us that after Supercard of Honor and the disappointment of losing the titles <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> has requested to take this month off to refocus and come back stronger than ever so that once <strong>Low-Ki</strong> is medically cleared to compete again, No Gimmicks Needed will go straight for the belts.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> tapped out <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong>. Gresham hasn't done a ton in ROH, but he's a solid worker and one that may be looked to solidify the midcard in the future.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, April 2019, Week 3</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Again this week, <strong>Royalty</strong> makes their way to the ring to bask in the glory of their victories. <strong>Cody</strong> proudly holds the ROH World title aloft and <strong>Austin Theory</strong> proudly has the ROH Television title draped over his shoulder. <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> speaks first and taunts Zack Sabre Jr., <strong>Theory</strong> is next and says that after last week only solidified that the Future isn't a Theory, but Statement of Truth. And <strong>Cody</strong> says that he isn't afraid of any man in Ring of Honor... and he's certain none can beat him.... Of course he's interrupted by the Aerial Assassin himself, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong>! <strong>Ospreay</strong> says that he doesn't love to talk but Cody's arrogance drives him nuts and at War of the Worlds that belt will no longer be around Cody's waist.</p><p> </p><p> In our first bout of the night we saw two debuts as <strong>Mark Haskins</strong> defeated <strong>Bandido</strong> in a match that showcased both men. Haskins is the more experienced worker and he took advantage of that to secure a win, but <strong>Bandido</strong> is currently gaining valuable experience in Japan and now with ROH and will be a star to watch!</p><p> </p><p> As the match ends, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> makes his way out again and says that he may not have a belt, but he is the Villain and Villain's always get what they want... He says that he appreciates that <strong>Haskins</strong> is here in ROH, but that the two of them have never gotten along, and <strong>Scurll</strong> is going to teach Haskins a lesson next week on ROH TV.</p><p> </p><p> Up next <strong>Fred Yehi</strong> defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in a technical bout that showcased both mens acumen for chain wrestling and counters. This one didn't quite see the 1000 counters that Yehi claims to know, but did see Yehi escape the Octopus Hold and roll it into Rear Naked Choke for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>Tom Lawlor and Josh Woods</strong> joined <strong>Yehi</strong> in the ring and cut a promo reminding the fans that <strong><em>Team Filthy</em></strong> is here in Ring of Honor and they will tap you out by any means necessary.</p><p> </p><p> We get a highlight package from Supercard of Honor. <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong>'s valiant effort, but ultimate failure is highlighted first and then the explosive Ladder War is highlighted with major highlights including <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> chaining <strong>Lethal</strong> to the barricade, <strong>Steven Walters and KC McKnight</strong> attacking the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> after the match, and of course the <strong>Briscoes</strong> standing tall for the tenth time.</p><p> </p><p> In our television main event, <strong>Brian Myers</strong> defeated one third of the new ROH Six-Man tag champions, <strong>Chuck Taylor</strong>. The Prince of Queens showed that he has put his failings in the WWE behind him and showed a new mean streak that fans hadn't seen from him. After the victory the Kings of the Night, <strong>Kenny King and Rhett Titus</strong>, entered the ring and popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote> <p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p>

McKnight and Steven Walters</strong> getting directly into the face of the <strong>Young Bucks</strong>. They say that they've been antagonized for long enough, but that at War of the Worlds it is put up or shut up time and the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> better be ready to put up. Security steps in and separates them before anything else happens.</p><p> </p><p> Our first match of the night sees <strong>Hangman Page</strong> defeat <strong>Bandido</strong> in a bout designed to help both men stand out to the crowd. Page and Bandido wrestle a similar style and both take risks to wow the crowd. In the end Page gets the win but appears to have respect for Bandido... </p><p> </p><p> Royalty are partially out next as just <strong>Cody and Austin Theory</strong> make their way to the ring. The announcers mention that <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> is warming up backstage for his bout with <strong>Mark Haskins</strong>. They begin to talk about how untouchable they are, but this only prompts <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> to make his way out and lay out a challenge to the boys of Royalty. Next week, in the main event it'll be <strong>Austin Theory and Cody</strong> tagging against <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> and his guest of honor... A fellow Brit, and a man currently tearing it up in New Japan Pro Wrestling... <strong>Nick Aldis</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Back from break <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> defeated <strong>Mark Haskins</strong> in an excellent match that really showcased both mens strengths. The recent British rising in Ring of Honor continued as a promo aired after the bout with a voice saying: <em>"Marty! I have something I know you want..."</em> and an image of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title. The announcers then confirm that <strong>Zack Sabre Jr.</strong> is returning to Ring of Honor and has demanded a rematch with <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> at the War of the Worlds Pay-Per-View and that he'll be in action on Night two and three of the tour!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> tagged with the debuting <strong>Tracy Williams</strong> to easily defeat <strong>The Boys</strong> in a bout that was designed to showcase the submission and technical skills of both Gresham and the debuting Williams. Post-Match:<strong> Team Filthy</strong> surrounded the ring but and stared down Williams and Gresham but left without a fight...</p><p> </p><p> In the television main event <strong>The Best Friends and Dalton Castle</strong> made their first defense of the ROH 6-Man Title defeating the <strong>King of the Night Security </strong>team of <strong>Brian Milonias, Beer City Bruiser and Bob Evans</strong>. The announcers put over that at War of the Worlds the champs will face off against the Kings of the Night (Kenny King, Brian Myers and Rhett Titus). </p><p> </p><p> We then had a final segment with the <strong>Briscoe Brothers</strong> coming out and announcing that the team they alluded to two weeks ago, and the team that will challenge for the ROH Tag Title at War of the Worlds is the <strong>Golden Lovers, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi</strong>!</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em><span style="font-size:14px;">Ring of Honor Announces New Japan Pro Wrestling's Participants in the War of the World's Tour</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As the War of the World's three night tour kicked off that will lead into the War of the Worlds PPV, Ring of Honor officials confirmed a number of names that will be on the tour from New Japan Pro Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> While we learned that <em><strong>Zack Sabre Jr, Nick Aldis, Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega</strong></em> were all taking part, we can also confirm that there are two others who will be making their US Ring of Honor debuts.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>David Finlay Jr.</strong>, the son of the legendary Fit Finlay, David Finlay is a bit of a wild child and is really nothing like his famous father. Looking to make his own name, Finlay has been a six-man tag specialist in Japan, and has held the Never Openweight Six Man Titles on three occasions, including most recently with ROH's Best Friends. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Juice Robinson</strong>, another quirky character, Juice Robinson is an American who has found his niche in Japan and established himself as a star overseas. He is extremely excited about the opportunity to return home and wrestle in front of an American crowd for the first time in nearly three years and promises that the Juice will be on the loose during the War of the Worlds tour! </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> OOC: I know it may feel like we've had a bunch of debuts in the last month but it's all in an effort to freshen up the roster and present some new stories and characters. Ring of Honor is always about growth and development and I'm excited to bring some new guys into the fold. The War of the Worlds tour also brings in some names from NJPW and I wanted to go a different route this time by bringing in some of the midcard names to pair with the big three of Sabre, Ibushi, Omega.</p>

It was a quick-paced bout that saw <strong>Kenny King</strong> steal a win when he grabbed the tights and rolled up <strong>Beretta</strong> for a 1-2-3. <em>The Bestest Friends</em> (<strong>Dalton Castle, Beretta, and Chuckie T</strong>) will take on the <strong>Kings of the Night (Kenny King, Brian Myers, and Rhett Titus)</strong> at the War of the Worlds PPV with the 6-man titles on the line.</p><p> </p><p> Up next <em>The Golden Lovers</em>, <strong>Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi</strong> make their way out...<strong> Omega</strong> has a microphone and thanks the ROH faithful for welcoming them back with such warmth. He then says that unfortunately there is truth to the rumor that he was injured last week in Japan and due to a <em>Torn Trapezius</em> he'll be unable to compete for next few months... The fans boo in disappointment. He says that he and <strong>Ibushi</strong> really wanted to face the <strong>Briscoes</strong> and wow the crowd but the show must go on and <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> has hand-picked his replacement....... <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Jay Lethal.</span></strong> <strong>Lethal </strong>comes out and shakes hands with <strong>Ibushi and Omega</strong> as the announcers state that <strong>Ibushi and Lethal</strong> will team together tonight in the TV main event against SCU 3.0's<strong> Frankie Kazarian and Rocky Romero</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Juice Robinson</strong> was out and officially made the challenge to Cobb for the PPV. It'll be <strong>Juice Robinson vs. Jeff Cobb</strong>... This seems to piss-off <strong>Matt Taven</strong> who comes out with <strong>The End</strong>. <strong>Taven</strong> challenges <strong>Juice</strong> right then and there...</p><p> </p><p> As we return from break we see <strong>Juice and Taven</strong> already underway. <strong>David Finlay Jr</strong> has stayed at ringside to cheer on his friend and <strong>The End</strong> pace, looking to protect <strong>Taven</strong>. <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong> joins the commentary during this one but as <strong>Odinson and Hammerstone</strong> begin to get involved, <strong>Cobb </strong>leaves his post and together with <strong>Finlay</strong> evens the score at ringside. This brief tussle is enough for<strong> Juice</strong> to take control and score the win over <strong>Taven</strong>. As <strong>The End and Taven</strong> high-tail it to the back <strong>Jeff Cobb</strong> shakes hands with both <strong>Finlay and Juice</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> We get a pre-taped promo with <strong>SCU 3.0</strong>. <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong> discusses with <strong>Frankie Kazarian, Brody King and Rocky Romero</strong> what is next for the team and how they will be able to conquer the world by simply starting small... with guys like <strong>Kota Ibushi</strong>...... <strong>Romero and Kazarian</strong> seem slightly confused by <strong>Daniels</strong> but <strong>Brody</strong> seemed to understand Daniels completely... This was a bit silly, but ultimately got the point across.</p><p> </p><p> In the television main event <strong>Jay Lethal and Kota Ibushi</strong> showed excellent chemistry in their first ever match together defeating <strong>Rocky Romero and Frankie Kazarian</strong> in a stellar match-up. Lethal and Ibushi celebrated as the announcers hyped that they would face The Briscoe Brothers at War of the Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> Before we went off the air, <strong>Royalty</strong> was out to discuss the pay-per-view... Before they start <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> is out and he's brought with him two of his friends... <strong>Zack Sabre Jr and Nick Aldis</strong>. He reminds <strong>Cody</strong> that last week his team defeated <strong>Cody</strong>'s and that tomorrow on Pay-Per-View that will be the same result... <strong>Ospreay</strong> beating <strong>Royalty</strong>. He mentions that <strong>Sabre</strong> will be putting his IWGP Junior Heavyweight title on the line against <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> and that now will the blessing of ROH officials, <strong>Nick Aldis</strong> will be challenging <strong>Austin Theory</strong> for the ROH Television title... So when <strong>Ospreay</strong> finishes the night by pinning <strong>Cody</strong> and being crowded the New ROH World Champion, this new "<em>Revolution</em>" of British Wrestling will take down Royalty... once and for all...</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> OOC: Next post will be the PPV preview, really love this card. Think there are some fun stories coming out of this one and that's not always the case with this cross promotion PPV's. The Omega injury really knocked the wind out of my sails. I think the Golden Lovers vs. Briscoes would likely produce my best ever match-rating. Oh well... Maybe in October! Lethal is a great replacement though... and it might build to something big. Hint hint.</p>
