Well folks, this one was just as good! Once again the opener proved that it could have been a main event anywhere in the world. Low-Ki and Matt Jackson started off in the ring and put on an impressive display of both technical acumen and high-spots, this was eerily reminiscent of last months encounter except that both combatants had a counter for everything their opponent threw at them. The fans quickly got behind this early reversal fest and it fed into a dual hot-tag.Nick Jackson got his team the upper hand this time and he and his partner began to work and visibly weaken Lethal. But Lethal managed to wriggle his way out of trouble and get a much needed tag to Low-Ki. Low-Ki started chopping the world and left both Bucks with visible welts across their chests. As Low-Ki took control, the Bucks tried to regroup only to be met by a flurry of kicks and punches from Low-Ki. He managed to knock Nick Jackson clear off the apron and into the barricade, before irish whipping Matt across the ring, tagging Lethal in and hitting the same double-team finisher that led to victory last month for the 1-2-3 and yet another title defense. As for the match at hand, this one served two purposes, bring the speed and agility of the Time Splitters to the forefront and highlight the continued issues the Horror Kings have had, especially since James Mitchell has been on the scene. The fans were thoroughly entertained and Damien Martinez used his size to control much of the match, unfortunately for Marseglia couldn't keep the advantage and Shelley and KUSHIDA's speed became too much for the Horror Kings. This match was actually one of the best women's matches ROH has ever seen, and the fans were quite entertained by two of the top female combatants doing battle here. The division has never really caught the interest of the fan-base though and despite this being a great match, the fans seemed to use this as a bit of a reprieve. In the end Nattie defended her title with a successful submission victory. As the camera pans back we see Chuckie T, Beretta, Dalton Castle and The Boys also arguing. The groups are separated and ROH COO Joe Koff states "It is official. Tonight's match-up between Dalton Castle and Brody King will be a Fight Without Honor... As King and his behemoth security team make their way to the ring the announcers point out that his security team may be pushing 1000 lbs and would make a formidable trio for the 6-man tag division. This match itself was a major dud. King and Xion just didn't click the way we would have hoped. In the end King stole a quick pinfall with a roll-up/tight grab combo. The Enforcer of SoCal Uncensored charges right at Castle and this one is underway. We expected a physical battle and we got one. King and Castle exchanged blows in the ring and this one immediately turned into a classic slobberknocker. Castle and Brody stumbled out of the ring and now the battle turned towards weapons with both men grabbing canes and swinging wildly at each other the cane strikes immediately create welts on Castle's chest and the cane actually snaps across his chest as King is now left without a weapon. This allows Castle the opportunity to strike back. Both men are bruised and beaten and we are mere minutes into the match. Eventually the action heads back into the ring where Castle wedges a chair into the turnbuckles only to turn around into a dropkick sending him headfirst into the chair he set-up. Brody King tosses Castle from the ring and then the big man goes flying over the top and figuratively through Castle... both men appear to be having trouble getting to their feet but eventually they both make their way into the ring. Brody has set a table up in the middle and he takes Castle up to the top rope... as he goes to lift Castle, Castle manages to get him off balance and both men fall from the top through the table with Dalton Castle landing squarely on top of Brody King and securing the victory... though neither man appeared conscious in the immediate aftermath of the match... Winner: Dalton Castle</div></div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">As the carnage is cleaned from the ring we get a video package showcasing The End and Matt Taven and their reign as the 6-Man Champs. As the package ends, their opponents for this match make their way out to the ring. The cobbled together but highly skilled team of Fred Yehi, Will Ospreay and Flip Gordon are out to a big applause. The End and Taven are out next to a chorus of boos which they all soak in. The chemistry on the champs gave them a distinct advantage in the early going, but Yehi, Ospreay and Gordon started to gel around the mid-point and had a near victory when Flip landed a 450 Splash on Matt Taven. Odinson broke the count up at 2.9 and proceeded to toss Gordon straight out of the ring. This was the beginning of the end for the make-shift team. Taven made the tag to Hammerstone and Hammerstone went right after Gordon who was just starting to shake the cobwebs from his crash-landing. Hammerstone lifted him up and hit the Stonebreaker in the middle of the ring but rather than going for the cover Hammerstone tagged in Odinson, as Odinson stepped into the ring Matt Taven tagged Odinson on the back to become the legal man and Hammerstone and Odinson went right after Ospreay and Yehi, engaging them while Taven slid in and made the cover for the victory and defense. Cody looks up and says it is go time boys... Royalty (Cody, Marty Scurll and Austin Theory) vs. Jeff Cobb, Bad Luck Fale and Tonga Roa <img alt="61wS1Tj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/61wS1Tj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CGDvLxD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CGDvLxD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> This main event sees Tonga Roa and Bad Luck Fale making a rare appearance in the USA, both are major members of ROH ally, New Japan Pro Wrestling and they've formed a strong, and dangerous team with ROH Television Champion, Jeff Cobb. On the other side, Cody has held the ROH World Title for over a year and is also the NEVER Openweight champion in NJPW where just this year he has defeated all three members of the Firing Squad after defeating Bad Luck Fale for the title at Wrestle Kingdom 13. Marty Scurll lost the ROH Television title to Jeff Cobb, but now finds himself behind fellow Royalty member Austin Theory in the pecking order as Theory won the Top Prospect Tournament and holds the right to challenge for the Television title whenever he pleases. This bout, unlike the previous bout on the night, will be fought under tornado rules, but will be one fall to win it all. All six men square off, and this one gets underway with all six men going for a test of strength which the three challengers win with relative ease. But Royalty manages to get the advantage right back using some underhanded tactics. The 400 sq feet in the ring isn't enough to hold these six as quickly this one spills to ringside. Tanga Roa begins to beat Scurll's head against the announce table and gets a rise out of the fans as he begins to scream at them... Theory and Cobb get after it as well with Theory, perhaps surprisingly holding the upper-hand in this one. Meanwhile, back in the ring Bad Luck Fale and Cody squared off and exchanged clubbing blows. Fale finally chopped Cody down like an oak in the forest. With Cody grounded Fale went to work and wore down the champ. Clearly bad blood between these two carried into the Ring of Honor ring as Fale consistently had to be warned by the official to open the fist...which merely pissed Fale off more and this being a tornado match meaning the virtually everything was legal led to Fale not listening. Theory slid back into the ring and cut down Fale helping his partner regain an advantage. This of course led to Cobb rejoining the action in the ring and taking down Theory. Which led to Marty Scurll flying back into the ring off the top rope and hitting a crossbody to take down Cobb... which he rolled into a modified stretch and tried his damnedest to wear down the big man. Cody was back to his feet but met by Tanga Roa who was bleeding from the forehead, but had himself back in the bout and swung at Cody, only for Cody to duck and hit a spine buster on Roa, promptly forcing him out of the ring again. On the opposite side of the ring Fale was back to his feet and broke up the submission Scurll had on Cobb. In fact he lifted Scurll straight off and tossed him up onto his shoulders, he spread the arms and was about to go for the Bad Luck Fall when Theory pulled Scurll down from Fale's shoulders and a took Fale down. This went back and forth for another ten plus minutes before we got into the final sequence. With Tanga Roa and Marty Scurll isolated outside the ring we had Theory and Cody squaring off against Cobb and Fale, but that didn't last long as Cobb tossed Theory like a ragdoll out of the ring and into the barrier. Now with a Two on One advantage Fale and Cobb surrounded Cody like wolves... Fale pounced first kicked Cody square in the gut, Cody was then rushed by Cobb who in one fell swoop lifted his prone body and swung him around for the Tour of the Islands... ROH and CMLL Present: Calle Dorado (Preview) <div style="text-align:center;">ROH and CMLL Present: Calle Dorado Exclusive Preview</div> The first of the quarterly specials that Ring of Honor and friends are putting on as exclusives for the Honor Club the Calle Dorado will see eight of the top aerial superstars put it all on the line for an opportunity to take home the crown that will grant them the right to challenge for any title of their choosing in either CMLL or Ring of Honor! So now, without further adieu, let's take a look at the eight combatants selected to compete in this one-day, winner take all tournament. The four combatants representing Ring of Honor KUSHIDA (Representing both Ring of Honor and his home promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling, the #15 wrestler on the most recent PWI 500, KUSHIDA is a rockstar who typically performs in tag action with Ring of Honor. This will be a showcase for the ROH crowd to truly see how special KUSHIDA is) Flip Gordon (Typically one of the youngest combatants, Flip Gordon is actually older than Dragon Lee... Flip has struggled a bit to find a consistent route, but he is one of the best high-fliers in the business and is bound to wow the crowd) Beretta (Beretta is another star that has primarily been seen in tag action in ROH but is a very respectable wrestler in his own right. He, like Flip, is looking for some momentum and could use this tournament as a way to boost his status) Will Ospreay (The Aerial Assassin is rarely topped when it comes to high-flying, though I'm sure Flip, Dragon Lee and Titan, Will Ospreay has been a breakout star over the last year plus, and has established himself firmly as a world traveler who is willing to go to whatever lengths to prove he belongs) And the four combatants representing Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Titan (The current CMLL World Middleweight champion, Titan made his ROH debut in December of 2017 before returning in August 2018 for the War of the Worlds tour, during which time he faced the likes of Vinny Marseglia, Flip Gordon and Jay Briscoe) Rush (The head of the famed Los Ingobernables, Rush made his ROH debut in August of 2018 during the War of the Worlds tour where he teams with the Los Ingobernables de Japon to go undefeated across the tour. Hechicero did manage to ground Flip for a brief time, but Flip was able to counter out with a matrix-esque back bridge and that led to the Star Spangled Stunner for the victory! The biggest high spot of the match was when KUSHIDA was recovering and standing on the apron and Dragon Lee hit a running Frankensteiner out of the ring and to the floor. KUSHIDA fully stunned was rolled back into the ring, and Dragon Lee hit the impressive Vertical Suplex Powerbomb for the win to the surprise of the audience. This didn't seem to faze Beretta who put on an impressive showing of his own as a singles competitor. The finish to this one saw Beretta and Rush exchanging blows only for Rush to drop to the mat and hit the Ingobernables signature "Tranquilo" pose before snapping back up and unleashing on Beretta. Ospreay clearly was watching earlier as Dragon Lee went for the apron Frankensteiner only to see Ospreay flip out of it and land on his feet on the floor to a massive applause. Ospreay then delivered a quick kick to the chest, bending Lee over before hitting an apron-assisted power bomb. He rolled Lee back into the ring and climbed to the top rope where he hit a gorgeous Spiral Tap and made the cover for the victory. This one was a bit of a let down after the previous matches, but that was perhaps because Gordon and Rush just didn't mesh that well. Rush hit the double stomp but didn't stop there as he lifted Gordon and hit the Butterfly Piledriver, known as the Rush Special for the victory and to advance to the finals... The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, and El Toro Blanco, Rush, both have competed in two difficult battles today and now they are set for a third. Both men started this bout out a bit slow with a couple rest holds and tests of strength but once the feeling out phase was over here came the speed. Ospreay quickly reversed a wrist lock and sent Rush into the ropes, following him and delivering a kick that sent Rush to the floor. Ospreay immediately went to the air and hit the Tope Con Hilo sending Rush into the barrier. Ospreay continued the assault on the outside but the brawl seemed to energize Rush as he began to fight back and forced the match back into the ring. Where both men put on a more technical battle than most would expect. Rush threw Ospreay into the corner and hitting the running corner dropkick, sending Ospreay prone into the middle of the ring while Rush went up top for the Double Stomp, but Ospreay moved at the last second and lifted Rush up... Rainham Maker (Lariat Spanish Fly). Cover... 1 2 Rush powered out. Ospreay went for a chin lock but Rush countered and went for the Rush Special but Ospreay escaped, delivered a kick to the back of Rush, sending Rush into the second rope... Ospreay hit the move most commonly known as the 6-1-9 rolling Rush back and onto one knee while Ospreay stood in wait... as Rush got up... Os-Cutter... 1 2 3 Will Ospreay has done it, he's defeated Titan, Dragon Lee and Rush and is officially the winner of the Calle Dorado and will be able to challenge for any title in CMLL or ROH! Rush is on a written deal with CMLL so he's basically reserved for special events... though I did honestly consider having him win and challenge for the ROH World Title. I really like the ability to crossover brands and develop my game world in this story. I wish Flip would start putting on better matches... ROH TV: March 2019 Week 3/4, April 1, The Road to Supercard of Honor <div style="text-align:center;">The Road to Supercard of Honor</div> <div style="text-align:center;">ROH TV, March 2019 Week 3 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This one kicked off with two of the competitors from the Calle Dorado tournament doing battle in our opener. KUSHIDA and Titan had a doozy of an opener that ultimately saw KUSHIDA take home the victory. Backstage we see Will Ospreay talking to Alex Shelley. He says that he was proud to have won the Calle Dorado but at Supercard of Honor he wanted to take push himself further and he wanted an opportunity to go one on one with Shelley and "avenge the loss from Survival of the Fittest five months ago". Shelley smiled and said he'd be honored, but as his friend, and opponent, he wanted an incentive... so at Supercard of Honor, Will Ospreay will put the title contract on the line against Alex Shelley. Back in the ring the Horror Kings defeated Good Burger. Cheeseburger and Josh Woods seemed to be a bit off during this one, but they almost secured the victory when Vinny Marseglia refused to tag out of the match and was rolled up, but Marseglia got his shoulder up in the nick of time and ultimately defeated Cheeseburger. Backstage we see Fred Yehi on the phone, as soon as he sees the cameraman lurking he rushes off. Wonder what that could be about... Jeff Cobb is out next and he has a message for Cody and Royalty... At Anniversary, Cobb pinned Cody 1-2-3... and at Supercard of Honor he's going to do it again and take the title off the Golden Boy's waist... So there you have it, Main Event at Supercard of Honor, Jeff Cobb vs Cody, for the ROH World Title. We get a great promo video hyping the Ladder Warfare bout that will see six of the best in the business putting their lives on the line at Supercard of Honor. In tag action the Best Friends secured a victory over Hammerstone and Matt Taven, 2/3's of the ROH 6-man champions. As the Best Friends celebrate the victory, Odinson slides into the ring and destroys both men. But before The End can put an end to the Best Friends a chair swinging Dalton Castle flies into the ring and cleans house. He grabs a microphone and lays out the challenge for Sueprcard of Honor... titles on the line, it'll be Best Friends and Dalton Castle vs. The End and Matt Taven for the 6-man straps and this time, Castle promises that this won't end the way it ended at the Top Prospect Tournament.</div></blockquote></div> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <div style="text-align:center;">ROH TV March Week 4, 2019 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This weeks episode kicked off with a recap of the Briscoes return at Anniversary and the upcoming Ladder Warfare bout that is bound to see them push everyone to their absolute limits. As the video wraps up we get word that Jay Lethal is in the back and looking absolutely panicked. The cameraman catches up to him and we can see Lethal pacing and talking on his phone. As he hangs up the cameraman asks where Low-Ki is and Lethal merely looks at him before walking off. Our opening bout saw Coast 2 Coast display their chemistry and get a surprise victory over the Horror Kings who once again show that they cannot get on the same page. This time as Marseglia looked for a tag, Martinez simply refused to tag in and allowed his partner to be covered by Shaheem Ali for the 1-2-3. Post-match, James Mitchell laid into both of his charges at ringside while Coast 2 Coast celebrated. Marty Scurll is out next. Scurll says that 2019 hasn't been as kind to him as 2018 was, but that he has a plan and that plan starts by making an open challenge to anyone in the world to come face him at Supercard of Honor. Backstage we see Josh Woods standing over the limp body of Cheeseburger, he's giving him some smelling salts. The cameraman asks what happened and Woods claims to have found him this way, but that they have a match and "Good Burger needs to prove they will always fight!" Woods desire to fight, though noble, was a bad choice as Good Burger is simply dismantled by The Addiction, a rare win of late for the SoCal Uncensored crew, but a win nonetheless. Jeff Cobb is out again promising pain and suffering for Cody at Supercard of Honor, but this prompts Austin Theory to come out and say that Cobb seems to be misremembering that Theory has the opportunity to challenge for the TV title whenever he wants...and that might just be next week... In the main event, Alex Shelley defeated Hechicero in a solid and technical bout. Shelley is warming up for his bout with Ospreay, while Hechicero is finishing up his stint with ROH after next week. Our next bout saw Dalton Castle and the Best Friends defeat the King of the Night security team of Brian Milonas, Bob Evans and the Beer City Bruiser. Castle and the Best Friends are clearly ready for their title shot. Backstage, Cheeseburger is asking Josh Woods what happened last week... before he can answer, Fred Yehi and "Filthy" Tom Lawlor walk into the frame... Alex Shelley joined the announce team during this one and when Hechicero went to create his fireball, Shelley jumped up and took it the powder from him allowing Ospreay to take control back and ultimately win the bout... Shelley and Ospreay shook hands as the show went to a final break. To close the show, out comes Royalty, Cody with the ROH Title, Austin Theory with the Top Prospect Tournament trophy and Marty Scurll with well... a microphone. Scurll starts off and quickly accepts Zack Sabre's offer. They'll go one on one at Supercard of Honor. With that he passes the mic to Cody. Cody says that he and Austin Theory had a thought... Austin Theory will fight for the Television title against Jeff Cobb... the fans pop, but Theory grabs the microphone... "But we didn't say that fight would be tonight... You see we've decided that at Supercard of Honor... Austin Theory will challenge Jeff Cobb for the Television title"... and if your into reading into the tea leaves, that means that Jeff Cobb will have to fight in two title matches at Supercard of Honor.
