He controlled the pace of the match and hit a huge fall-away slam he calls "The End" to win the match. As <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> raised his hand, <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> jumped the barricade and slid into the ring, he immediately locked a chokehold onto <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> and dropped him to the mat. <strong>Odinson</strong> seemed unfazed and headed backstage. Meanwhile Lawlor pulled tighter on Sinclair's neck until Sinclair stopped moving. Lawlor stood up, dusted himself off, and demanded a microphone. He started to call out <strong>Joe Koff</strong>, but was immediately confronted by <strong>Josh Woods</strong>, who had just recovered from the loss. Woods and Lawlor exchanged punches and the brawl was on. <strong>Joe Koff</strong>, flanked by many of New York's finest, marched to the ring and tried to get a hold of the scenario. The Police and venue security separated Woods and Lawlor and Koff stood in the middle of the ring demanding to know how Lawlor got in the building. <strong>Lawlor</strong> smirked and mentioned having friends in high places. Meaning there would be no tags, and anything would go. The Briscoes, seemingly more adept at this style of match took advantage early and held an advantage heading into the middle part of the match. Like all good stories, the middle part of the match saw a great comeback from the Guns. At one point Chris Sabin even hit Jay Briscoe with an apron Cradle Shock. As he rolled him back into the ring though, Mark Briscoe came in and broke-up the pin. The middle part of the match also saw weapons introduced into the match as the Briscoe's used the chains from their ring gear to choke Alex Shelley and whip Chris Sabin. Undaunted, the Guns fought back and seemingly had the upper-hand as Alex Shelley grabbed Mark Briscoe and ran to the corner... he bounded up the ropes and went to flip-over Mark for the Sliced Bread #2, but Briscoe pushed him away and sent him flying over the ropes to the floor. He turned his attention to Sabin who was crawling to his feet in the middle of the ring and took him back down with a kick to the gut. A little Redneck Karate, and a Mark Briscoe <em>Froggy Bow</em> from the top-rope with his elbow wrapped in the chain, led to the 1-2-3 and NEW Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Briscoe Brothers defeated The Motor City Machine Guns to become the NEW Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Leaving little time to gloat, <strong>War Machine</strong> walked out onto the stage and menacingly stared down the new champs. These two teams lit it up last month and the feud that seems to be developing should be a rough and tumble one.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Backstage <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> are chatting with <strong>Hangman Page</strong> and <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>. The Young Bucks made a pre-match mistake thinking that The Addiction didn't have a plan as late in the match <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> heading to ringside and distracted Matt Jackson, which allowed Daniels to steal a victory. Post-Match Romero joined The Addiction for a 3-on-2 beatdown. Hangman Page ran out to even the score and the teams brawled for a bit. Once things were separated, Kazarian and Daniels formally introduced <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SoCal Uncensored 2.0</span></em>, Featuring "SoCal's Finest" Rocky Romero.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>6-Man Tag</em></p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Jay Lethal, Flip Gordon and Will Ospreay defeated The Kingdom</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> As if the 6-man tag titles needed an even more crowded field, the team of Lethal, Gordon and Ospreay worked well together and soared through the sky, managing to keep The Kingdom silent and take home a big victory.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Backstage, <strong>Cody and Brandi</strong> are seen. Cody and Dalton both seemed intensely focused throughout the match and both men seemed to have scouted the other extremely well. Dalton went for an early Bang-A-Rang only for Cody to slip out and lock on the American Nightmare Lock, Dalton managed to get to the ropes and both men headed to their corners to regroup. Dalton being fanned by The Boys and Cody being massaged by Brandi. As the match restarted we saw a new fire lit under both men. Cody and Dalton went back and forth, but Cody's experience seemed to give him the upperhand. The fans were hot and the finish upcoming, as Cody took Dalton to a knee, went for a Disaster Kick, but Dalton had it scouted and jumped out of the way but Cody also had it planned out and landed and spun and reverse heel kick to Dalton's skull. With Dalton down Cody locked on the American Nightmare Lock in the middle of the ring and forced Dalton to tap, crowning Cody as the NEW and now two-time Ring of Honor World Champion</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cody defeated Dalton Castle to become the NEW Ring of Honor World Champion</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody and Brandi</strong> celebrated together in the ring both holding their belts high in the sky as streamers flew through the air.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> Match Ratings:</p><p> Pre-Show: War Machine defeated Best Friends (C-)</p><p> Kenny King defeated Jay White (D-)</p><p> Odinson defeated Josh Woods (E+)</p><p> Punishment Martinez defeated Cheeseburger (E)</p><p> The Addiction defeated The Young Bucks (C-)</p><p> Jay Lethal, Will Ospreay and Flip Gordon defeated The Kingdom (D+)</p><p> The Briscoes Defeated Motor City Machine Guns ©</p><p> Cody Defeated Dalton Castle (C-)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Overall Show C-</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Prediction Contest</strong> (Through 3 of 5 Events Pre-Prize; Most Correct Wins, with Percentage correct as tie-breaker) (Remaining PPVs: Anniversary and Supercard of Honor)</p><p> KnowYourEnemy 2/4 + 4/7 (+1 TPT Finals) (Current: 7/11)</p><p> DGenerationMC 2/4 + 4/7 + 4/6 (Current: 10/17)</p><p> BHK1978 2/4 + 3/7 + 4/6 (Current 9/17)</p><p> Warhawk8492 2/7 + 4/6 (Current 6/13)</p><p> Uncrewed 2/7</p><p> Wolfman84 4/7</p><p> Blodyxe 4/7 + 4/6 (Current 8/13)</p><p> Kijar 2/6</p><p> Martel123 3/6 (+1 for TV Title Bonus, Jay White) (Current: 4/6)</p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Comments:</strong></p><p> Believe it or not Brutal Bob is still wrestling... just saw him do a over the top rope plancha to the floor and bust his head open two weeks ago... Keeping in mind I booked Final Battle as it was in real life, I like Cody as champ better for the current situation... Plus I think the storylines flow better with him on-top. Dalton Castle becomes only the second ROH World Champ ever to not successfully defend his title.</p><p> </p><p> The Lawlor storyline is one I'm really excited about, I hope I can do it justice as it develops. With Joe Koff retiring in game (right after this PPV) and leaving the business, I wanted to create a story behind that. Plus I wanted to develop some of the lower/midcard with new faces like Lawlor, Odinson, and even some like Josh Woods.</p><p> </p><p> Scorpio Sky was a disaster in ring for me, wasn't clicking with anyone, decided to just write him off... then I realized I had Romero on the roster and doing nothing... he's also from LA (like Daniels and Kazarian)... so it was natural.</p><p> </p><p> Welcome to new predictors!</p>

<p>Tom Lawlor Charged With Trespassing, Assault</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:14px;">ROHWrestling.com Exclusive</span></span></p><p> </p><p>

After yet another incursion by <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> on Ring of Honor property during Manhattan Mayhem, Lawlor was charged with simple trespassing and after his vicious assault on an official was also charged with simple battery. Lawlor, upon his release from the station spoke with local reporters and said, "I'd do it again if I don't get my fair opportunity. <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> screwed me out of my chance to make a name for myself in Ring of Honor and I won't stop this crusade until I get a fair opportunity at proving myself in the ring. While my actions are radical, they are my only option since FORMER COO <strong>Joe Koff</strong> attempted to ban me from the arena. Now that the old man is officially retired, I've asked my agents to pull some strings and see about getting me appropriate access to Ring of Honor."</p><p> </p><p>

In the coming weeks as we move towards ROH Anniversary, Ring of Honor will formally announce a new CEO, the current plan is for the new CEO to be announced during Anniversary. But, as Ring of Honor looks toward the future, they better also keep a keen eye out for <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> as he may have other plans for the new CEO...</p></div><p></p><p></p>

The <em>Fight Without Honor</em> which saw <strong>The Briscoe Brothers</strong> capture the tag titles and of course, <strong>Cody</strong> reclaiming gold. The video went off the air announcing that Cody's RE-Corination ceremony would take place next week.</p><p> </p><p> In the opening match-up <strong>Punishment Martinez</strong> laid waste to enhancement talent, <strong>Myron Reed</strong>. After the match ended a <strong><em>woman</em></strong> dressed in all black, with black lipstick and black fishnet stockings walked down the aisle, she circled the ring, capturing Punishment's attention before walking back up the aisle and then on the screen the <strong>hooded figure</strong>, this time facing the camera, with his head down, once again proclaimed <span style="text-decoration:underline;">"Damien, COME HOME"</span></p><p> </p><p> Up-next, <strong>Kenny Kin</strong>g easily defended his Television title against <strong>The Beer City Bruiser</strong>. Everything is going swell until <strong>Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal</strong> both interrupt the ceremony. <strong>Cody</strong> throws a huge fit in the ring and says this is his party, not theirs. He reminds Dalton that just two weeks ago he tapped out, and reminds Lethal that he hasn't earned a thing. All three men wind-up face-to-face, and Cody raises his Championship RING in-between Castle and Lethal's face and tells them both to "Kiss The Ring" as the segment ends.</p><p> </p><p> The opening bout saw <strong>Odinson</strong> annihilate <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong>. A man that has helped shape the careers of many...... He calls out <strong>Cheeseburger</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody</strong> easily defeated <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> to retain the ROH World Title; this match-up was clearly just a tune-up for his match against Jay Lethal tomorrow night.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring, <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> once again jumps the barrier, before security can get in the ring Lawlor says he has paperwork from his lawyer that states he can be here. He proceeds to mention that he was barred only by <strong>Joe Koff</strong>. Since Joe is retired, and the new CEO hasn't been named, there is no reason why he can't be here... This prompted <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong> to come out and say that Lawlor is only here because he's suspended from the UFC. He isn't even serious about wrestling, and if he were he wouldn't hesitate to face Woods one-on-one at Anniversary. Suddenly, <strong>Cary Silkin</strong>, Ring of Honor's former owner and frequent ringside supporter, stood-up and took a microphone. "Tom, you've been reeking havoc out here for the last few months. All I see is a cry-baby. But... Ring of Honor has always been about opportunity and you may have a point about your loss in the Top Prospect Tournament... Well... <em><strong>AS NEW CEO OF RING OF HONOR</strong></em>, tomorrow night at our 16th Anniversary it'll be <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor vs. Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong>. Tom, if you win, I'll personally present you with your contract." </p><p> </p><p> Fresh off the announcement that <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> had once again taken control of Ring of Honor, <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated <strong>The Kingdom</strong> in a hard-hitting battle. With only a day separating them from a Tag Title shot, War Machine looks stronger than ever. ROH Anniversary XVI

Ring Of Honor Anniversary XVI

Live on Pay Per View, Available Exclusively Through Fite.TV

March Week 2, Sunday, 2018

Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Bobby Cruise and Colt Cabana

Live on ROHWrestling.com the preshow kicked off with two online exclusives. First in Future of Honor action, Odinson defeated Jay White. Odinson is continuing to show he is a force to be reckoned with here in ROH. In Women of Honor action, Kelly Klein defeated Deonna Purrazzo in a boring battle.

We went live on Fite.TV and immediately saw a large vehicle, wrapped in a Bullet Club logo roll up to the venue. Out stepped Brandi first, with the Women of Honor title around her waist, followed by Cody with the World title over his shoulder. The Hung Bucks, with the 6-man tag titles and Marty Scurll... with an umbrella, all stepped out afterwards... The Bullet Club has arrived in style.

The Motor City Machine Guns Defeated The Dawgs

The opening match-up saw the former tag champs, the Motor City Machine Guns defeat The Dawgs. Sabin and Shelley look hell-bent on getting another shot at the belts they held for much of the last half-year and tonight's showing will get them closer to that goal.

As the match ended Beretta and Chuckie T appeared on the screen and told the Guns that they felt like the Motor City Machine Guns were the team you have to beat around here to gain any respect. As such they wanted a chance to face them once Beretta returned from his upcoming tour in Japan. The announcers speculated that this might mean that the Best Friends are looking down the road toward War of the Worlds more than the upcoming Supercard of Honor, though Bobby Cruise was quick to point out that Beretta will be back in time for Supercard of Honor should the competition committee choose to go that way.

Ring of Honor Television Title

Kenny King {C} defeated Dalton Castle

Oh how the mighty have fallen... or maybe more like oh how the beer bottle swings. Silas Young, who hasn't won a match-up in 2018 and for the last month has been seen in promos drinking beers and lamenting his fate made his way to ringside during this bout and sat comfortably drinking a six-pack. As fate would have it, Kenny King "lost a contact lens" mid-match and implored referee Brian Gorie to help him locate it. This gave Young the window to interfere in the bout and strike Castle over the head with his bottle, sending him collapsing to the floor as Kenny King capitalized for the 1-2-3. Young wasn't done though, as post-match he entered the ring with another bottle and struck King across the skull as well. Leaving both Castle and King doused in beer and covered in glass. Problem... Solved.

We went to a video recapping the rivalry between Marty Scurll and Will Ospreay. These two men have gone head to head all over the world and last night during the #1 Contendership for the Television title this feud rekindled itself.

Will Ospreay defeated Marty Scurll

Ospreay hits he Oz-Cutter and gets the victory in another great match-up between these two. Scurll has been a bit up and down recently in Ring of Honor and that certainly hasn't gone unnoticed by his Bullet Club kin.

Backstage we get an injury update from Jay Lethal. Lethal says that Punishment Martinez left him bruised, but thanks to Flip Gordon saving him he'll be able to compete tonight. When asked if he is 100% ready to compete, Lethal stares into the camera and says I'm 110% ready.

Flip Gordon defeated Punishment Martinez

In an absolute shock Flip Gordon defeated Punishment Martinez. Punishment handled most of the match but Flip baited him into a high-impact maneuver and sent Martinez flying over the ropes. This allowed Gordon to hit a huge Tope Con Hilo over the top, sending both men into the barricade. Martinez looked a bit stunned and Gordon then managed to hit a springboard corkscrew stunner and score the pinfall on Martinez. As Martinez exited the ring he was once again stopped by the woman in black... She rubbed her hand down his chest and handed him a black rose. Suddenly, the man whose face we haven't seen stepped on to the stage and thanked "Priscilla" for bringing Damien to him. The man removed the robes covering his face revealing BJ Whitmer. Whitmer said "Damien, it is now time to come home, we will unleash the beast within. But we first must break-you." The announcers mentioned that Whitmer and Martinez have had a relationship in the past, and that the woman in black must be there to help control Punishment. They also mentioned that Martinez formally was known as Damien Martinez, and that BJ Whitmer seems intent on calling him that.

Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles

SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated The Hung Bucks {C} to become the new ROH 6-Man Tag Champions

Hangman Page wound-up being the weak-link for the Hung Bucks as Rocky Romero managed to defeat him while The Addiction and Young Bucks were engaged in battle down on the floor. Following the victory SoCal Uncensored 2.0 broke out bottles of champagne and partied like it was 2001 in the ring while the Bullet Club was sent to the back further licking its wounds.

Josh "The Goods" Woods defeated "Filthy" Tom Lawlor when Todd Sinclair replaced Paul Turner as referee in charge when Turner was knocked out.

Tom Lawlor's quest for fairness in Ring of Honor was once again ruined by a referee. In this case, accidentally. Lawlor locked a chokehold on Woods and in the process of attempting to wiggle free Woods forced Lawlor into the corner where ROH Official Paul Turner was caught in the crossfire. With Turner unconscious, Woods began tapping out, obviously with no referee awake Lawlor realized he was once again screwed. He released the hold and began to lightly slap Turner, attempting to revive him. While this was happening, Senior Official Todd Sinclair ran to the ring and Woods recovered enough to roll-up Lawlor for a quick 1-2-3. Sinclair and Woods immediately fled the ring as Lawlor again freaked out in the ring to the point where security had to escort him away...again. The announcers commented how the coming weeks would likely be hell for Ring of Honor and new CEO Cary Silkin.

Ring of Honor Tag Titles

The Briscoe Brothers {C} defeated War Machine

In what would have been the match-of-the-night most other nights Jay and Mark Briscoe, the nine-time ROH Tag Champs, defeated War Machine in a great battle. Both teams hit signature spots and there were many near-falls, but ultimately the Briscoe's took home the win here. As Ian Riccaboni pointed out on commentary the Briscoe's might be nine time champions but this is the first reign they've had since Late 2012-early 2013. In those five years The Briscoes have matured and truly become the pre-imminent Ring of Honor Tag Team.

In the locker room, Cody and Brandi Rhodes are seen in what appears to be a "Victory Lounge", Brandi is pouring a fine bottle of scotch and Cody is preparing the finest of Cuban cigars... The announcers speculate that Cody may be taking Lethal for granted. As Lethal makes his entrance, Cody gets up and heads to the ring, telling Brandi to stay here and get the room ready.

Ring of Honor World Title

Cody {C} vs. Jay Lethal

rhWLJLc.jpgVSJNvytgY.jpg

Jay Lethal made his way to the ring with his ribs wrapped in athletic bandage, but as he hit the ring and the streamers flew-in, he ripped the bandage off and looked ready as ever to go. Cody made his entrance solo tonight, looking confident as ever. In the early going it was clear that Lethal wasn't 110% as he proclaimed earlier. But as the match progressed he appeared to be getting stronger and Cody had to snap in to have a chance to defend his title. In a flash moment around 14:00 minutes in the battle, Jay Lethal hit a huge DDT in the middle of the ring, stunning Cody and leaving him on one knee. This allowed Lethal to hit the Lethal Combination in the middle of the ring.

1

.....

2

.....

3

NOOOOOO! Cody kicked out at the last second.

Lethal looks shocked, Cody looks exhausted. Lethal immediately set him up for the Lethal Injection, but his back/ribs appeared to give out and Cody took advantage. The match continued for another couple minutes until Cody managed to hit the Silver Spoon DDT and get the cover... the win... and the title defense.

The match took everything out of both men and both men were laid out on the mat with exhaustion post-match. The announcers hyped that this was the best match Ring of Honor has seen in 2018 and we cannot wait to see what the next year will hold!

Winner, and Still Ring of Honor World Champion: Cody

First and foremost, Happy New Year 2018!

Glad people are appreciating the Lawlor storyline. Not quite over yet, but making progress toward the end. Wish he'd get better ratings, but hey... he's an MMA guy.

The Briscoes are now 9X ROH Tag Champs, but its the first reign since 2012-13. Crazy to think the first reign was in 2003. These guys are ROH through and through and I think the storyline I'm building up to will be a solid payoff.

I screwed up the Best Friends storyline with MCMG, but Beretta being in Japan helps cover it up... Should still work out in the end.

I agreed with the general consensus that Punishment Martinez is a stupid name. I've seen him used as Damien Martinez in the past, and he needed a manager so that brought BJ Whitmer back into the picture. Plus I found Priscilla Kelly to be an upcoming and dark female figure. I hope this will give Damien a better direction moving forward.

Without spoiling anything, I think 6-man tag titles are slightly... lame. But for now they are going to survive. By taking them off the Young Bucks it frees me up to develop the storyline building into Supercard of Honor and ultimately War of the Worlds. This should be a fun one.

See you all in 2018.

Having some fun with this, really appreciate the predictions and feedback, thanks guys.

<p>ROH Wrestling Exclusive Sit-Down With "The American Nightmare" Cody and Brandi Rhodes</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: Post-Match Sit-Down With Cody</span></p><p> </p><p>

Coming off a great 16th Anniversary Pay-Per-View, our <strong>Ian Riccaboni</strong> had a chance to sit down with ROH World Champion, <strong>Cody</strong> and his wife, Women of Honor Champion, <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong>. The sit-down interview was conducted in what appeared to be the Victory Room from Anniversary. <strong>Cody</strong> is smoking a fine cigar while swirling a glass of scotch. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> tries to get into questions before <strong>Cody</strong> stops him and says he'll dictate the direction of this interview. He starts by lavishing praise on his wife and how she's conquered the Women of Honor division. He mentions that <strong>Brandi</strong> has held the title since January but she hasn't had a televised match and that it ludicrous. While he respect the Women of Honor division, he thinks his wife needs to be on the Supercard of Honor main show and tells <strong>Riccaboni</strong> to tell the people in charge to make it happen. </p><p> </p><p>

He then turns his focus to his recent battle with <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>. He puts Lethal over, saying he was a valiant competitor and a great first generation professional wrestler, but unfortunately for Lethal, <strong>Cody</strong> is a "GENERATIONAL" wrestler with a whole life worth of experience. He says his father, the American Dream was the picture of old-school wrestling, but <strong>Cody</strong> is the embodiment of Modern Professional Wrestling. He is the <em>American Nightmare</em>, a man with no fear and a man who needs no help to achieve his DREAM. Riccaboni mentions <strong>Cody</strong> is part of the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> and <strong>Cody</strong> immediately stops him and says that there is a reason they aren't here in the Victory Room with him. He says the night began with 80% of the members of the Bullet Club holding titles in <em>Ring of Honor</em> and the night ends with 80% of the Bullet Club losing match-ups... He quickly points out that means that ONLY he, CODY, the American Nightmare, has succeeded tonight. He says that the Bullet Club will come to learn how to win under his leadership and at <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Supercard of Honor</span> he'll show them first-hand. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> tries to follow-up but <strong>Cody</strong> abruptly ends the interview, stating to Riccaboni that it is time for him to finish the night off with a little nightcap. Brandi pours him another glass of scotch as Riccaboni and the cameraman exit the scene.</p>

Whitmer says that Lethal is calling the wrong name. <em>Damien Martinez</em> only answers to him, his master, The Exorcist, <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> and the seductress, <strong>Priscilla Kelly</strong>... </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#800080;"><strong>Being The Elite: ROHWrestling/YouTube/Young Bucks Exclusive</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

In prototypical <strong>Young Buck</strong> fashion we see <strong>Matt and Nick Jackson</strong>, the self-proclaimed busiest men in wrestling, filming another episode of their hit web-series, <em>Being The Elite</em>. They mention that they are about to embark on another tour of Japan and the episode appears to have been filmed primarily on site, in Japan. <strong>Matt and Nick</strong> discuss <strong>Cody</strong> and how he's gotten more and more arrogant over the last year since winning the ROH World Title. They mention that he just said he was the true leader of the <em>Bullet Club</em>, a notion the Bucks seem to disagree with but never directly mention who the leader actually is.</p><p> </p><p>

The do some typical joking and laughing before getting serious and addressing the topic at hand. Which <strong>Young Buck</strong> will take the Ring of Honor World Championship from <strong>Cody</strong> at Supercard of Honor. <strong>Matt and Nick</strong> hype Matt up saying that this week in Japan, at NJPW's Invasion Attack, Matt is going to defeat <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> to win the IWGP Heavyweight title, so they've decided that since Matt will be focusing his attention on Naito, <strong>Nick Jackson</strong> will get the opportunity at Supercard of Honor and by the middle of April the Young Bucks will hold two of the most prestigious title in the world!</p><p> </p><p>

The episode closes with a Ring of Honor produced graphic showing that the main event for Supercard of Honor will be <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cody vs. Nick Jackson</span></strong> for the Ring of Honor World Championship!</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Sky continued the losing ways that led to him being kicked out of SoCal Uncensored and Woods looked strong. Lawlor stated that his lawyer had drawn up paperwork to sue Ring of Honor for lost wages and damages due to the "losses" he'd sustained in the ring, primarily at the hands of <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong>, the "World's Most Corrupt Official". Lawlor even said that he felt like Sinclair must have been a boxing judge in a past life. He told <strong>Woods</strong> that he wanted another fight, Woods seemed to agree but this prompted new <strong>CEO Cary Silkin</strong> to come out, with Todd Sinclair. Silkin told them there will be a match alright. <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> will once again face <strong>Josh Woods</strong>. <em>If Lawlor wins, he'll get an official contract. But there were some stipulations. First and foremost, Tom Lawlor must immediately destroy the pending lawsuit and "let bygones by bygones" and Todd Sinclair must officiate the match-up. Silkin said that Sinclair, the senior official of ROH, would be fired if anything screwy happened. However, if Josh Woods wins, Lawlor must immediately pay Ring of Honor $150,000 for "damages" caused by his protests and attacks on ROH officials.</em> Lawlor and his lawyer said they'd draw up the paperwork and the match was made official.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Kenny King</strong> and his hand-selected partner, <strong>Odinson</strong> defeated <strong>Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser</strong>. <strong>Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal</strong> were the third team. I am not sure about this one. At first I was going to go with Chuck and Trent and someone else but then I thought maybe the other members of the Bullet Club would be in this match. I know Matt has a big match in New Japan, so that is why I am a bit iffy about this selection.</p><p> </p><p>

I just think it makes sense for them to go to a no contest, though I would not be shocked if it was the TV title match either.</p>

ROH Supercard of Honor

Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor

Live on Pay Per View, Available Exclusively Through Fite.TV

April Week 1, Sunday, 2018

Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Bobby Cruise and Colt Cabana

In a pre-show ROHWrestling.com exclusive Will Ospreay defeated Hangman Page. Both men will be featured in the upcoming War of Worlds tour and this was a solid pre-show bout to get the crowd fired up.

As we went live on Pay-Per-View, Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana and Bobby Cruise welcomed us to Supercard of Honor. They promised that tonight would be another thrilling night of Ring of Honor action and that there would be some classic battles, with that we went to the ring for the Ring of Honor Television Title Triple-Threat match.

Ring of Honor Television Title

Kenny King {C} defeated Dalton Castle and Silas Young to retain the ROH Television Title

Solid back and forth triple threat bout to start us off tonight. The match got a bit out of hand in the middle with The Beer City Bruiser getting involved, but he was sent to the back, leaving Young to fend for himself. Young, and his trusty beer bottle came into play but not the way he planned. After an irish whip into the corner Young gathered his bottle and a hid it down his leg. As Dalton Castle came running toward him Young swung and connected, knocking Castle out. This of course, in typical wrestling fashion, occurred as Kenny King had the ref distracted, insisting that The Boys be thrown out from ringside. King went so far as to physically attempt to remove The Boys himself, prompting Paul Turner to lose focus on the match and Young to attempt to capitalize. Unfortunately for Young, as he made the pinfall, King climbed to the top rope and hit him with a huge leg drop from the top, not only breaking the pin but knocking Young out and allowing King to cover the prone Castle to retain.

Post-Match The Boys carefully tended to Castle who looked infuriated with the result and frustrated with his now developing losing streak. Kenny King snuck away with another victory, and Silas Young was left without a result.

Losers Must Disband

Coast 2 Coast defeated The Kingdom

Matt Taven joined the commentary group during this match-up and wasn't pleased with what he saw out of his now former group. Marseglia and O'Ryan took a shocking loss to Coast 2 Coast in this one. As the match ended, Marseglia offered his hand to O'Ryan who promptly spit on it and walked out. Matt Taven meanwhile just looked on in disgust from the ramp. Now that The Kingdom is officially conquered, what will Taven do next? What will happen with Marseglia and O'Ryan?

We get a promo with "The Villain" Marty Scurll. Marty talks about how he's currently back home in England, formulating his next villainous plan, and that when he returns to Ring of Honor for War of the Worlds, he'll be coming for GOLD.

Grudge Match

Damien "Punishment" Martinez defeated Jay Lethal

Under the guidance of "The Exorcist" BJ Whitmer and assistance of Priscilla Kelly, the former Punishment, now Damien Martinez, defeated Jay Lethal in a match-up that surprised everyone. Lethal brought the most out of Martinez and the athleticism both men showed here was a refreshing treat, especially after the first two match-ups which had fallen a bit flat. With Lethal defeated, Whitmer declared this "THE EXORCISM OF RING OF HONOR; AND THE RISING OF DAMIEN"

Backstage we see Nick Jackson face-timing with Matt Jackson on his laptop. Matt is still in Japan, having lost to Tetsuya Naito earlier in the day (keeping in mind it is now morning in Japan), the conversation is breaking-up a bit but Matt reminds Nick they are THE ELITE and that Cody needs to remember who is boss.

Women of Honor Title

Brandi Rhodes {C} defeated Deonna Purrazzo to retain

In a brief match-up we saw why the Women of Honor are typically relegated to online specials at the moment. Brandi got the win, but the match-up was definitely nothing to write home about. Post-Match Cody and Brandi celebrated in the ring and Cody cut a scathing promo stating that "We are the first family of professional wrestling, and you are looking at Ring of Honor's Ruling Party"

Tom Lawlor defeated Josh "The Goods" Woods via submission to earn a full-time Ring of Honor contract

Tom Lawlor finally vanquished the Todd Sinclair demons as he forced Woods to tap; Todd Sinclair reluctantly called for the bell, and pointed at Lawlor as the winner but refused to raise his hand and stepped out of the ring without raising his hand, infuriating Lawlor and sending him into a mini-fit in the ring. The little rivalry between Woods and Lawlor may be over, but the lack of respect and feud between Sinclair and Lawlor seems to be just beginning.

As Lawlor finally began to leave the ring, Cary Silkin and Lawlor's lawyer presented him with his Ring of Honor contract, which he stared at, scribbled some letters on, and then walked out without ever acknowledging much beyond that.

Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles

SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} defeated Flip Gordon and The Best Friends to retain

Much of the hype around this match was built in the mystery of who SoCal Uncensored 2.0's opponents would be, they were revealed to be Chuckie T, Beretta and Flip Gordon; which made for a fun team on paper, but there lack of chemistry seemed to effect them early and SoCal 2.0 took advantage and defended the titles. After the match Flip Gordon was lingering near the top of the stage talking to some fans when Odinson appeared from behind him, leveling him with a lariat and then hitting "The End" on the stage.

Motor City Machine Guns vs. War Machine

xudhQ89.jpgodACYrQ.jpgVSTPXMrhF.jpgP5BbpIx.jpg

Two of Ring of Honor's best teams of the last five years put together an instant classic that will definitely be a contender for the best of 2018 DVD. War Machine obviously has the size advantage but the speed advantage of the Motor City Machine Guns made this a surprisingly even match-up. Around 15 minutes into the bout, with both teams exhausted, Jay and Mark Briscoe, the Ring of Honor Tag Champions made their way to ringside and join Riccaboni and Cruise at the announce table. This lasted only two minutes as Jay and Mark jumped up and got on opposite sides of the ring, both with their chains wrapped around their fists. The two teams in the ring saw this happen and both confronted the Briscoe's, with Hanson and Rowe going after Jay and Sabin and Shelley going after Mark. The chain wrapped fists were the equalizer and soon all six men were brawling in the middle of the ring as the referee lost all control and called for the bell. As chaos reigned down in the ring Mark Briscoe brought a chair in and laid out Rowe, this prompted Hanson to get his own chair and subsequently lay out Jay Briscoe. Meanwhile Sabin and Shelley managed to throw Mark over the ropes and hit dueling swan dives over the top sending Mark (and themselves) crashing into the announce table. ... Just then Hanson decided to show off that 300 pound men can fly and catapulted himself over the top, into the awaiting group of three and through the announce table. Just like that all six-men were out and the carnage was strewn across the ring.

The Motor City Machine Guns and War Machine went to a no contest when the Briscoe Brothers got involved and chaos broke-out in the ring.

Ring of Honor World Championship

Cody {C} vs. Nick Jackson

rhWLJLc.jpgVS8378v4n.jpg

Typical Cody start to this one with a slight twist Nick Jackson willingly kissing the ring before falling over in the middle of the ring...

"Oh no, this can't be another finger-poke of doom..."

Cody looks shocked and goes to cover Jackson, but Jackson put his hand up, waves his finger and then pops up to his feet and laughs in Cody's face. Cody is flushed red and Nick Jackson suddenly has the psychological advantage. Nick and Cody go back and forth for a bit, exchanging moves and its clear they spent much of the last year or so together. Everything is well scouted and there are many counters through the first-half of the match. Nick's biggest weakness though is his lack of a tag partner and this ultimately cost him some momentum. He hit a huge tornado DDT but instinctively looked for Matt to come flying off the top rope...well of-course Matt is in Japan, so that didn't happen. The finish of the match saw Cody roll out of the way of a 450 Splash attempt and immediately lock the American Nightmare Lock on in the middle of the ring, "Screaming, I AM THE ELITE" and forcing Nick to tap and Cody to retain the title. As Cody and Brandi celebrated and the cameras panned around the ring "Ω" was seen on the video board, leaving us with Ian Riccaboni proclaiming:

"Cody has retained, but as Supercard of Honor comes to an end, we can only assume that symbol means the War of the Worlds just got a whole lot more interesting!!!"

Prediction Contest (Round 1 WINNER: DGenerationMC) A valiant effort and here that came down to two guys who predicted EVERY show available. Thank you to all who have participated thus far.

We are going to continue these micro-contests (covering a segment of shows, I'll decide how many once I sit down and figure out a good prize for the next segment); and since there has been solid response I am also going to keep an overall % correct total (for the end of the year). If you make a certain number (I'm leaning towards 50 total predictions you'll be eligible, highest percentage correct wins a year-end prize (which will be something story related, likely something larger like a title change or signing, but that is TBD).

KnowYourEnemy 2/4 + 4/7 (+1 TPT Finals) + 4/8 (OVERALL: 11/19)

Comments:

First and foremost, congrats to DGenerationMC on winning the prediction contest for the first five rounds. I've sent you a PM with some details on your prize and am looking forward to a response so I can book out War of the Worlds.

BHK1978: You had it right with the Best Friends logic; but the Bullet Club was another thought I did have. That said, with War of the Worlds coming up, I wanted to try and develop some tie to the NJPW stuff happening in game. I also have no connections to C2C or The Kingdom; clearly as I was misspelling Marseglia's name for the last few weeks (OOPS).... but I'm determined to make something work... haha... we shall see if I can. I went back and forth on this a bunch. At one point I was going to have Shaheem Ali turn on Leon St Giovanni and form a unit with Shane Taylor and Caprice Coleman... but that was way too similar to The Rebellion from last year; so instead those guys will just keep floating in enhancement no-mans land.

I actually did debate writing Sinclair (as KnowYourEnemy thoughtfully predicted) out entirely in this episode as his contract was close to expired, but I thought this was a solid way to both continue further the story and get Lawlor his well-deserved victory.

DGenerationMC and Kijar both nailed Flip, I love the athleticism in reality and really need to find something for him to do... assuming he survived that assault post-match ;-).

I have two shows to post prior to the three show War of the Worlds build-up. I plan to do a brief preview of the War of the Worlds tour similar to the Top Prospect Tournament preview, just to give readers some idea who the NJPW pieces are and what they've been doing in-game.

Immediately post-match <strong>The Briscoes</strong> said next week these same teams will go at it again, one can only wonder what <strong>The Briscoes</strong> have in mind.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV April Week 3, 2018</span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="13ZAQPs.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/13ZAQPs.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Pre-show we saw two bouts, first <strong>"Wild Horse" TK O'Ryan</strong> defeated resident jobber <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> and then we saw a little bit of twin magic, as <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> dominated <strong>Brent Tate</strong> until the end when <strong>Brandon Tate</strong> slid into the ring and got a quick roll-up victory stealing the victory for his brother.</p><p> </p><p> The show opened with a hype video for <em>War Of The Worlds</em>, in the video we confirmed the first three names for the tour courtesy of <span style="color:#FF0000;"><em>New Japan Pro Wrestling</em></span>. They are <strong>Juice Robinson, Kota Ibushi and Ricochet</strong>. All three men who are certainly familiar to American fans. The video ended again with "<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Ω</span></strong>" being displayed prominently on the video board. The announcers hype that Ring of Honor officials have confirmed that <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> will be a part of the War of the Worlds tour!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ian Riccaboni and Bobby Cruise</strong> then announced that the next group of men NJPW would be sending would be revealed later in the show, with the final set of three posted exclusively on ROHWrestling.com immediately following the broadcast.</p><p> </p><p> The bouts opened with <strong>Odinson</strong> defeating <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>, Odinson hit his massive finisher, known as The End, but it was a valiant effort by Flip and one no one should be disappointed by. Post-Match, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> appeared and applauded <strong>Odinson</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> The next group to be announced for War Of The World's was <strong>Los Ingobernables de Japon</strong>, featuring <strong>EVIL</strong> and <strong>SANADA</strong>, the current IWGP Tag Champions. "The Ticking Time Bomb" <strong>Hiromu Takahashi</strong>, and the IWGP World Champion, <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong>... <span style="text-decoration:underline;">TRANQUILO</span> Ring of Honor fans.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> and his lawyer made their way down to the ring, with a proper entrance and everything. Lawlor mockingly thanked "Ring of Honor" for rolling out the red carpet for him tonight, and then went on a brief tangent about how if he hadn't physically knocked out <strong>Josh Woods</strong>, <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> wouldn't have every rung the bell. He called Sinclair to the ring to demand he raise his arm in victory, but Sinclair never appeared and <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> had to come out and inform Lawlor that Sinclair was off tonight. Lawlor, said "He Will Raise My Arm" as soon as he returns and storms off.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> continued his solid return from Europe defeating <strong>Silas Young</strong> in a solid back and forth match. Young's trusty beer bottle and his ally, <strong>The Beer City Bruiser</strong>, were removed from ringside by referee Brian Gorie pre-match, and that left Young without his support system. Regardless Scurll out-classed him and took the victory. Again post-match Scurll said the TV title will be home with the Villain soon.</p><p> </p><p> In the rematch of last weeks main event, as we expected, something fishy happened and <strong>The Briscoes and The Addiction</strong> were disqualified, giving another victory to <strong>War Machine and The Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong>, set-up tables around ringside and as you can expect, mayhem eventually broke out when <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> went to tag <strong>Hanson</strong> but <strong>Hanson</strong> missed the tag as he was yelling at <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> who was ringside. This prompted<strong> Alex Shelley</strong> to strike <strong>Hanson</strong> and suddenly the brief teammates were fighting on the apron. As the mayhem started <strong>The Addiction</strong>, rather than risk getting caught in the crossfire, wisely left the ring, being <em>counted out</em> in the process. This left the three teams that will do battle at <em>War of the Worlds</em> going at it as we went off the air. The lasting image was <strong>War Machine</strong> delivering Fallout to <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> through a table at ringside while the Briscoes collected their belts and fled up the ramp.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROHWrestling.com Exclusive</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CHAOS Comes to Ring of Honor's War Of The World's Tour</span></span></p><p> <img alt="vmI0Igy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vmI0Igy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="qYdO5FH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qYdO5FH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eLo4W64.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLo4W64.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> As Chaos broke out in the ring to end our most recent ROH TV episode, we can also confirm that <strong>CHAOS</strong>, the legendary NJPW faction, will be represented during our tour.
