Very nice opening big card, even if I only got 1 out of 5 lol. Like the way you got the main event booked. Great to see the managers (something that is lost and greatly missed in today’s sports entertainment) get so involved in the outcome. Just having them there is great.

<p>Well I don't feel so bad only getting one right pick. I thought for sure I had at least a couple more than that. Oh well there's always next time.</p><p> </p><p>

Be interesting to see the dynamic if there is any interaction between a heel Hogan and Heenan. I've played around with the idea of what would happen if those two had teamed up in the AWA.</p>

Weird bug. You explained it pretty well with Superstar. However, just throwing financial numbers out there to say that Backlund was awesome is pretty irrelevant because of where WWF was located. Any top guy could have drawn pretty close to that much money because that's what being WWF champ meant at that time. That changed once the territories died, which is why you can rip a lot (not Bret or Shawn) of the mid-90's WWF guys for not drawing as champ.</p><p> </p><p> It would be completely weird to not have Backlund as the champ in this diary. I mean you really have no choice given who is on the roster though, which was my point in my first comment. Vince Sr. had let his fed atrophy which is why VKM had to go out and hire around 90% of his roster for WM1. My comments had nothing to do with you putting Backlund as champ. It would be like complaining that Bockwinkel is AWA champ or Lawler in Memphis.</p>

<p><strong>Vince McMahon Senior:</strong> What were you thinking. I brought you into this company to run it the way I want it ran. I tell you when switch titles, especially giving it to that punk kid of Bruno's. It was suppose to go to Ken not Larry.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> Mister McMahon you need to understand title switches were necessary. Patterson is injured and I don't know how long were going to be without him. Ivan is dragging down every match he is in while the Samoans are doing great.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon Senior:</strong> This was a mistake hiring Jack Curley's great grandson to book my company. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> My great grandfather was one of the greatest promoters to ever be in this business. If it wasn't for you're ex backstabbing partners and you're father. I would be running New York and you know it. They stole New York from my grandfather as his dad was on his deathbed. Every promoter around North America joined in to keep my family out of this business Vince. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon Senior:</strong> I don't need you here screw up what I built for my family. Because when I die my son will take this company to heights only imagined.</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Later That Night</span></em></strong></p><p>

My stuff was packed and I was ready to leave when the phone began ringing. I just looked at for a minute as it kept ringing. Should I answer it or just get the hell out of Lewiston? The phone stopped ringing so I headed for the door, and then as I ready to close door it started ringing it again. I wonder who the hell, it was nearly midnight already. So I went over and picked up the phone.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> Hello.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Caller:</strong> Good your not headed to New York yet.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> Your dad made your going to live to regret Vince.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince K. McMahon:</strong> I talked to my Father told him I agreed with everyone of the decisions you have made so far. The title changes, letting Hussein, Tony, and the rest go to find work somewhere else.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> Ok, you still haven't said I am not fired. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince K. McMahon:</strong> Your not fired, get to Allentown for the All-Star Wrestling taping. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Hawkes:</strong> Alright, though I really think we need to change the names of the shows. They way too generic...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince K. McMahon:</strong> Get to Allentown and we will talk about it. It's time I take a more active role in this company.</p>

Let's see if I do better this time around.

WWF Madison Square Garden February 1980 Official Match Card

Barry Windham vs Terry Taylor

(A draw between two youngsters)

Curt Hennig vs Johnny Rodz

(Hennig is pretty green at this point so I'll go with Rodz in this one)

Pat Patterson vs Captain Lou Albano

(My brain says Patterson but my gut tells me Albano due to shennanigans)

Bobby Duncum & Tor Kamata vs Burke's

(I guess if I had paid some attention to what I was reading I would of realize this was a tag match. Now I have to go with the Burkes winning if only because Tor Kamata is like in his late 40s here and not in any sort of shape by this point.)

Andre the Giant vs Bulldog Brower

(this may be a dq win for Andre since Brower hasn't quite outlived his usefulness yet, maybe if it was a few years later)

Dominic Denucci vs Hulk Hogan

(Hogan better not let me down this time)

Wild Samoans© vs Ivan Putski & Tito Santana

(Samoans just won the title and Putski is just such a drag to me)

Texas Death Match:

Bob Backlund © vs Ken Patera

Barry Windham vs Terry Taylor

Only because Barry's dad worked in the WWWF, plus I always liked Barry more than the Red Rooster.

Curt Hennig vs Johnny Rodz

Rodz was the jobber king at this time, so I think young MR. Perfect will get the win here.

Pat Patterson vs Captain Lou Albano

At this point when was the last time Albano actually competed in a match? I am not talking about one of those wrestler gets five minutes with the manager type of matches. Anyway I hardly doubt Albano gets the win here unless one of his clients gets involved in the match.

Bobby Duncum & Tor Kamata vs Burke's

I have only heard of Bobby Duncum Sr. in this match. I have no clue who any of these other people are.

Andre the Giant vs Bulldog Brower

Dominic Denucci vs Hulk Hogan

Wild Samoans© vs Ivan Putski & Tito Santana

Part of me has to wonder if Putski has one last run in him as a tag champion. I was a big fan of Tito when I was young but I think the Samoans might keep the gold this time around.

<strong>Chavo Guerrero Promo:</strong></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Bruno Sammartino:</strong> Chavo I have known your family for a very long time. Your father is a legend in Mexico, what goals do you have here in the WWF?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Chavo Guerrero: </strong>My first goal is to beat a very tough opponent in Johnny Rodz right here in few minutes. It's my understanding that Sergeant Slaughter has just recently won WWF Television title in Tokyo, Japan against Antonio Inoki. I think this a title I would like to get a shot at down the line sometime.<strong> Grade: B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Johnny Rodz vs Chavo Guerrero </strong></p><p>

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Chavo Guerrero defeated Johnny Rodz in 7:36 by pinfall with a German Suplex.<strong> Grade:C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Ken Patera and The Grand Wizard Promo:</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Grand Wizard:</strong> Bob Backlund at every turn at the Garden you cheated blatantly in front of the referee numerous times. My client sick of the blatant cheating left the ring and then the referee administered the fastest ten count ever seen giving you the win.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Ken Patera:</strong> I asked for a rematch and they told me the only way you would agree to a rematch, was if it was a Texas Death Match. So you could cheat and steal the title that should be mine. Well there is no rules in a Texas Death Match so you might what to remember that. Because your going to walk into the Garden with the title, but I am going to walk out of the Garden with the title. <strong>Grade: A*</strong></p><p>

<em>Notes: Ken Patera in every interview wants to go unscripted and has struggled every time until now. He was superb working without a script in this segment. </em></p><p> </p><p>

WWF Television Title Match:</strong></p><p><strong>

Sgt. Slaughter © w/ The Grand Wizard vs Mike Graham</strong></p><p>

In a decent match, Sgt. Slaughter defeated Mike Graham in 8:05 by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Sgt. Slaughter makes defence number 1 of his WWF Television title. <strong>Grade: C+</strong></p><p>

<em>Notes: Created this title so the midcard single wrestlers have something to fight over. </em></p><p><em>

</p><p><strong>

Pat Patterson Promo:</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Bruno Sammartino:</strong> Pat I know how slimey Albano can be, but how he cost you the Intercontinental title on Championship Wrestling was a new low even for him. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Pat Patterson: </strong>I have never wanted to work with that fat loud mouth slob, and when that snake Wizard sold my contract to that slob. I knew one way or another he was going to stab me in the back. Costing me my title, but the WWF President has granted me a match with Lou Albano at the Garden. Albano I am going to make you bleed and straight to the hospital. When I am done with Albano I am coming to get my title back. <strong>Grade:A*</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Leo Burke vs Terry Taylor</strong></p><p>

In a decent match, Leo Burke defeated Terry Taylor in 8:30 by submission with a Sleeper Hold. <strong>Grade:C-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan Promo:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>(Hulk Hogan is posing)</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hulk Hogan</strong>: DeNucci I heard you demanded a rematch with me brother, after I beat you with that cane causing you to have a concussion. You would think after that beating it may knock some sense into you.Come the Garden I am going to end your career. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Bobby Heenan:</strong> Tonight, the Polish Hammer is going to find out what it is to face the Incredible Hulk and then at the Garden DeNucci this man is going to retire you. Andre the Giant I want you to take a good look at this man with twenty- four inch arms because this is going to be the first man to ever slam the Giant and defeat you 1...2...3 you can take that to the bank. <strong>Grade:A</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Ivan Putski vs Hulk Hogan w/ Bobby Heenan</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Hulk Hogan defeated Ivan Putski in 7:48 by pinfall with an Axe Bomber. <strong>Grade:C </strong></p><p>

<p>Tor Kamata was a pretty decent worker and won several tag team and singles titles in his career. </p><p> </p><p>

The Burkes are Leo Burke and Bobby Burke are two of the famed Cormier brothers from the Maritimes in Canada. Both are pretty good workers and I brought them in because the tag division is really lacking in teams.</p>

<p>Poor Sarge had to fly all the way to Tokyo and beat the top Japanese star to win a TV title. Maybe Pat needed to tell him how to have a tournament in Rio filled with unnamed wrestlers. WWF Championship Wrestling

Week 4 January 1980

Location: Allentown Agricultural Hall

Announcers: Vince McMahon and Bruno Sammartino

Show Grade:A

Larry Zbyszko Gives up the Intercontinental Title:

Vince McMahon: Larry last week you gave Pat Patterson a great fight, and you walked away the Intercontinental champion. Though I must add in a controversial way. We all know you had no hand in the dastardly assault on Pat Patterson. You did say that was going to be your last match. So does being the Intercontinental Champion change your mind on retiring?

Larry Zbyszko: Thank you Vince, I won this title and everyone knows this is the first time I have held a singles title. I didn't like the way I won the title, but I am adamant that last week's match with Pat Patterson was my last match. Because I have been coming out here pleading my case to my hero. I do not want to be a speck in the shadow of Bruno Sammartino. I will not be a speck in that man or anyone's shadow. So I am retiring and giving this title back to the World Wrestling Federation. Before I do that though I would like Bruno to come out and tell me to face once again. That he will not face me a match.

Bruno Sammartino walks out.

Vince McMahon: Bruno you have heard what Larry has had to say. What are your thoughts?

Bruno Sammartino: Last week watching you win that title made me so proud Larry. I was not going to face you, but we have had thousands upon thousands of letters from fans. Wanting to see me face Larry and as all the fans know I have never backed down from any challenge. So, Yes Larry I will face you, but I have some conditions before we go in the ring. One I will not try to defeat you, because I love you like your one of my brothers. If your going to try to out wrestle me well I am going to do everything I can to stop you. So Larry you have your match to prove if as good or better than me. When you want to do this match?

Larry Zbyszko: Right here tonight in that ring, I want to do it on Television so everyone can watch it.

Vince McMahon: Were going to commercial, but fans when we comeback will have the protege versus the master. Grade: A*

Larry Zbyszko vs Bruno Sammartino:

This is a very important match the teacher versus the pupil. Sammartino and Zbyszko meet in the center of the ring as the fans roar their approval for both men. They shake hands and circle the ring waiting to see who will be the first and try to lock up with the other. They lock up and the fans are cheering them on as Sammartino pushes Zbyszko into the ropes. They break and Sammartino pats Zbyszko on the shoulder.

Sammartino backs away and Zbyszko cautiously locks up with his teacher once more. Bruno once again pushes Zbyszko into the ropes and backs away. Zbyszko tries to do a leg sweep only for Sammartino to block it. Zbyszko goes for a suplex, but Sammartino blocks it and escapes it getting behind his pupil who is struggling to break free. After a few moments Sammartino releases the hold. They lock up and Sammartino gets Zbyszko into a headlock. Zbyszko counters by hitting a side suplex with a bridge.

1..

2...

and Sammartino launches Zybszko off of him.

Sammartino and Zbyszko know each other very well and Sammartino Irish whips Zbyszko into the ropes Zbyszko hits a nice shoulder block and hits the ropes again only to get caught in drop toe hold by Sammartino. Who after few seconds let's go of the hold. That's the second time Sammartino has released a hold he had Zbyszko locked into only to release it.

They lock up once again and Sammartino is about to lock in a armbar only to have Zbyszko to counter into a bodyslam.

1..

2...

Sammartino kicks out once more. Sammartino gets to his feet and picks up Zbyszko and slams him hard to the mat. Zbyszko goes to the corner and shows his frustration on his face. He then manuevers Sammartino into a abdominal stretch after few minutes Sammartino justs powers out. Sammartino locks Zbyszko into a hammerlock and lets go of the hold. Zbyszko goes for the legs and gets Sammartino off his feet. He locks in a single leg Boston crab that after few minutes Sammartino is able to escape.

This match is going back and forth between the two combatants. Sammartino seems to be playing with his young pupil as he has released already a few holds. Zbyszko locks in the sleeper hold and Sammartino seems to be going down for the count. Right in the center of the ring, the referee picks up Sammartino's arm and it falls 1...

The referee does it for a second time, 2....

Could the Living Legend be out of it?

The referee picks up the arm for a third time and drops it, but Sammartino holds it up and he heads for the ropes. As he lowers himself, he sends Zbyszko flying out of the ring. Sammartino holds open the ropes for his pupil and kicks square in the chest. Zbyszko batters The Living Legend and then picks him off the mat and slams him head first into the ring post. Zbyszko goes to the outside and gets a chair. Sammartino tries to make it to his feet only to have Zbyszko slam the chair over his head repeatedly. The referee calls for the bell as Sammartino laying in dazed and bloody state on the mat. Bruno Sammartino defeated Larry Zbyszko in 40:08 when Larry Zbyszko got disqualified after attacking Sammartino with a chair. Grade: A

Zbyszko is not done yet as he takes a piece of the broken chair and begins stabbing Sammartino's forehead with it causing the blood to pour out of his wound. Staff comes down and our finally able to get Zbyszko away from Sammartino.

Vince McMahon: Larry, why, why would you do that to Bruno your teacher?

Larry Zbyszko: He made me come out here begging and groveling for a chance to prove myself against him. Bruno never thought I had that killer instinct to win a big match. He was playing with me and toying with me the whole match. Well I showed him that you play games with The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko your going to end up broken and bloody in that ring.

Vince McMahon: Fans I would not want to be Larry Zbyszko when Bruno Sammartino is finally able to compete again. Grade:A*

Barry Windham vs Terry Taylor

I was kind of tossing this one either way but Rodz win over Taylor convinced me to go with my initial though and that’s Windham

Curt Hennig vs Johnny Rodz

I think Hennig is too early in his career to be ready to tackle a veteran like a Rodz

Pat Patterson vs Captain Lou Albano

Good lord anything can happen here. In a normal match it would be Patterson every time but with the Capts crew anything can happen. I suspect that Capt Lou will get battered, cheat to get some advantage but ultimately lose. But I do believe the Capt could have a new singles charge come in and level Patterson and set up the next feud

Bobby Duncum & Tor Kamata vs Burke's

Andre the Giant vs Bulldog Brower

Could see Hogan get involved here and change the result but either way we will see the build continue to Andre vs Incredible Hulk

Dominic Denucci vs Hulk Hogan

this time Hogan gets the pin

Wild Samoans© vs Ivan Putski & Tito Santana

Gotta go with the Samoans who could be without the captain if only because Putski....I just don’t like Putski

Texas Death Match:

Bob Backlund © vs Ken Patera

This will probably cost me but I just never saw Patera as a World Champion back in the day. So I believe Backlund will retain

Announcers: Vince McMahon </strong></p><p><strong>

Show Grade:C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bruno Sammartino and Larry Zbyszko Recap:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon:</strong> Larry Zbyszko has betrayed his mentor the man who taught him everything in this sport. Over the years we all have seen Bruno Sammartino betrayed before by friends. Though this fans is different this is the only man Bruno Sammartino has taken as a student and I beleive this has to be the greatest betrayal to ever have been committed against Bruno Sammartino. <strong>Grade:A</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Gibsons vs Bobby Eaton & Tom Prichard</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Bobby Eaton & Tom Prichard defeated The Gibsons in 5:49 when Bobby Eaton defeated Rick Gibson by pinfall with an Alabama Jam. <strong>Grade: C-</strong></p><p>

<em>Notes: If this match was being done in the Southeast it would of been graded higher.</em> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Barry Windham vs Larry Sharpe</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong>In an extremely short match, Barry Windham defeated Larry Sharpe in 5:15 by pinfall with a Superplex. <strong>Grade:E-</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Notes: Bruno Sammartino is very high on Windham</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sergeant Slaughter Promo:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Sergeant Slaughter: Listen up maggots. I came here and won this title thinking there was some competition and so far all I have found are men that good, but they can't defeat me. I am about to show this Tito Santana what a real athelete is all about. <strong>Grade:C</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

WWF Television Title Match:</strong></p><p><strong>

Sgt.Slaughter © w/ The Grand Wizard vs Tito Santana</strong></p><p>

In a good match, Sgt. Slaughter defeated Tito Santana in 21:44 by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Sgt. Slaughter makes defence number 2 of his WWF Television title.<strong> Grade:C+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Slaughter is refusing to break the Cobra Clutch hold. Chavo Guerrerro comes running down to the ring and hits Slaughter from behind. Slaughter escapes the ring and yells at Chavo that soon he is going to feel what the Cobra Clutch feels like. Chavo yells at him any time, anyplace he is ready to take the title from him. Grade: C+</p><p> </p><p>

Notes: In two shows I deliver my best show and match of this save. An deliver my worst show and match of this save. An I used Sgt. Slaughter way too much. It's OK to have a show built around two main eventers literally but not OK to run a couple of segments with a midcard worker. I am having fun that all that matters and people seem to enjoy this.</p>

Best Show:AWA House Show II B+/83</p><p>

Best Match:Nick Bockwinkel vs Adrian Adonis A*/99</p><p>

My Thoughts: Nick Bockwinkel is amazing if he keeps it up he could become the wrestler of the year. He is averaging 97 match grades. As whole the company is doing great and it's going to be hard to beat them with the talent they have as they are the Number One company in the United States. </p><p> </p><p>

6. Georgia Championship Wrestling</p><p>

Top Stars: Dory Funk Jr., Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Wahoo McDaniel, Mr.Wrestling II</p><p>

Best Show:GCW House Show I B/78</p><p>

Best Match: Dusty Rhodes & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs The Funks A*/99</p><p>

Figurehead: Dusty Rhodes</p><p>

My Thoughts: Georgia was originally was the company I was going to use for The Age of Heroes diary, but I figured it would be to easy. Their roster is literally stacked with workers who are future hall of famers. They have 16 matches that grades A or A*.AWA is great, but Georgia is a beast that has National exposure and the AI has to really screw up for them not to one day be the number one company in the world by 1981. </p><p> </p><p>

Best Show:Maple Leaf House Show I B/79</p><p>

10. World Wrestling Federation</p><p>

Top Stars:Andre the Giant,Bruno Sammartino,Bob Backlund,Larry Zbyszko,Ken Patera</p><p>

Best Show:WWF Championship Wrestling Tuesday Wk4 Jan 1980 A*/97</p><p>

Best Match:Larry Zbyszko vs Bruno Sammartino A*/99</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

11. Superstars of Wrestling</p><p>

Top Stars:Pierre LeBelle, Rudy Kay, Haystacks Calhoun,Bobo Brazil,Whipper Billy Watson</p><p>

Best Show: Superstars of Wrestling C/61</p><p>

Best Match:Pierre LeBelle & Rudy Kay vs Bobo Brazil & Whipper Billy Watson</p><p>

My Thoughts: One my obsessions is trying to get this mod out is to spotlight this company. That was ran by George Cannon which many people don't realize the things he did to keep wrestling going in Canada during the 70's when Quebec had no wrestling Cannon's promotion kept wrestling alive. </p><p> </p><p>

12. Stampede Wrestling</p><p>

Top Stars:Leo Burke,Bruce Hart,Smith Hart,Cuban Assassin,Bret Hart</p><p>

Best Show:Stampede House Show II B-/72</p><p>

Best Match:Leo Burke vs Bruce Hart B/82</p><p>

My Thoughts: The company has good young talent in Leo Burke, Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid, Bobby Bass and Jim Neidhart but them seem to be over pushing Bruce and Smith Hart who are decent workers but not good enough to carry a company.</p><p> </p><p>

13.World Class Championship Wrestling</p><p>

Top Stars:Dick Murdoch,Superstar Graham,Mil Mascaras,Bruiser Brody,Fritz Von Erich</p><p>

Best Show:WCCW House Show I B/81</p><p>

Best Match:Bruiser Brody vs Dusty Rhodes A*/99</p><p>

My Thoughts:World Class has one hell of a roster with strong main event talent. Midcard that has a great mixture of veteran and young talent. This is a company I need to keep eye on because the Von Erich boys and Gino Hernandez are going to be stars for years to come in this business. </p><p> </p><p>

14.Wrestling Enterprises Birkenhead</p><p>

Top Stars:Les Kellet,Adrian Street,Count Bartelli,Dave Finlay,The Amazing Kung Fu</p><p>

Best Show:Big Time Wrestling in the North C-/57</p><p>

Best Match:Adrian Street vs Tony Borg C+/65</p><p> </p><p>

15.Jim Crockett Promotions</p><p>

Top Stars:Ric Flair,Jay Youngblood,Jimmy Snuka,Ricky Steamboat,Mr.Wrestling</p><p>

Best Show: JCP House Show I A/90</p><p>

Best Match:Jimmy Snuka vs Mr. Wrestling A*/99</p><p>

Figurehead:Ric Flair</p><p>

My Thoughts: Ricky Steamboat is proving he is one of the best talents in the world. He is right up there with Nick Bockwinkel for Wrestler of the Year. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is styling and profiling in the Carolinas and Virginia. He also isn't the only man being a figurehead for more than one company. Crockett has a great talent it's going to be interesting to see where things leads for the company.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I understand injuries happen but damn some just shock you. Bruiser Brody and David Von Erich had back to back amazing matches graded 99 both of them. Brody successfully defended his NWA American Title in the first match. David successfully defended his NWA Texas Title in the second match only to accidentally to get his leg broken by Bruiser Brody during the match.

Wild Bull Curry announce his retirement. We figured to bring him in for a title shot against Bob Backlund. Go to bring him in to find out Captain Ed George shattered his knee in a match between them. George is the son of the Sheik if you don't know.

We were about to offer Miguel Perez job, but held off on it. Good thing because he is out after getting injured down in Puerto Rico. He was injured by Invader #1.

Vince Senior called and told me we need to diversify our roster a little I am looking at Chief Wahoo McDaniel, Jay Youngblood, Chief Jay Strongbow, Ricky Steamboat, Junkyard Dog, Butch Reed, Masked wrestler Sweet Brown Sugar aka Skip Young, and Rocky Johnson.

Steamboat and Youngblood maybe the best tag team in the country. These guys are JCP NWA World Tag Team Champions and every match there in is nearly match of the year candidates. Average rating 97 through 11 matches so far.

Chief Jay Strongbow is 51 and working in Detroit in a feud with the Sheik. He is popular here in Northeast.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel is 41 and books Southwest and works for Georgia. He is doing pretty good and is popular all around the country.

Junkyard Dog is Bill Watts project he thinks very highly of him and thiks he could be a major force in this business for years to come. His best match so far was a 91 rated match between himself and Gino Hernandez. Only problem with the Dog is he is as limited in the ring as Hulk Hogan at this point. My plan is to bring in guys that can actually go in the ring. Hence why I brought in guys from Tennessee, because all of them are good in the ring or has great in ring potential.

Butch Reed is good young worker but he needs seasoning before I am willing to bring him in.

Skip Young a decent worker at 28 worked Texas, Japan, and Florida. Probably will be struggle to get over.

Rocky Johnson is 35 he is known here in Northeast and be a good midcard addition. Problem is he already works for three different companies. I am already having enough problems with the guys on the roster being fatigued.

Vince McMahon Senior thinks Terry Taylor deserves to be pushed. Larry Zbyszko believe that Hulk Hogan is going to be a major money making talent who deserves a big push.

Larry is also very high on Eddie Gilbert, Barry Windham, and Curt Hennig.Bruno Sammartino loves Barry Windham and Bobby Eaton keeps telling me to push both men.

Breaking News NWA World Middleweight Champion and one half of EMLL Mexican National Tag Team Champions Tony Salazar has been jailed for two years over perjury charges. This is severe blow for EMLL and Tony Salazar which means the company will be scrambling to find a solution to this long term problem.

Interesting went to check in game editor he has 82% law problems and checked as known. So I went and looked at the main editor and he has 0% on all lifestyles and is not clicked for anything. Hmmm interesting. So the game randomly created this problem for him.

Things look to really be heating up here in the month of love, especially with Andre and Hogan! Bob Backlund in a Texas Death Match just sounds funny though, but to be fair that's because I really only know him as the crazy guy from the 90s and the "Howdy Doody" tagline that the WWF have given him from his term in the 80s to make it seem like Hulkamania was 100% the savior of wrestling.

Barry Windham

Johnny Rodz

Captain Lou Albano

Bobby Duncum & Tor Kamata

Andre the Giant

Hulk Hogan

Wild Samoans

Bob Backlund
