Chavo Guerrero vs Jerry Stubbs</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Chavo Guerrero defeated Jerry Stubbs in 14:11 by pinfall with a German Suplex. Sgt. Slaughter joined Vince and Gorilla commentanting on the match. Putting Guerrero over as great wrestler, but saying he was not in Slaughter's class. Chavo comes down from the ring to do a interview. Slaughter pokes Chavo in the chest telling him he get his chance at Garden for the Television title. He understands that being the Champion will help feed Guerrero's whole family, but it's not going to happen. Chavo tells him he can run his mouth all he wants because at the Garden the better man is going to walk out as champion. <strong> Grade:C/B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Scott McGhee vs The King Jerry Lawler w/ Freddie Blassie</strong></p><p>

In an extremely short match, Jerry Lawler defeated Scott McGhee in 4:55 by submission with a Sleeper Hold. <strong>Grade:C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Gibsons Promo:</strong></p><p>

Rick and Robert Gibson are both humble as they talk to Vince McMahon saying they realized the size difference between themselves and the Samoans but, like David toppled Goliath so will the Gibsons topple the Samoans and become the WWF World Tag Team Champions. <strong>Grade:B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The Gibsons vs Larry Sharpe and Wayne Farris</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Gibsons defeated Larry Sharpe and Wayne Farris in 7:32 when Robert Gibson defeated Larry Sharpe by pinfall with a Rocker Dropper.</p><p>

Notes: Yes your reading that correctly that is the Honkytonk Man. </p><p>

<strong>Bruno Sammartino and Larry Zbyszko Contract Signing:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The ring had a table and two chairs sitting in the middle of it. As Bruno Sammmartino walks out to the ring the fans erupt in cheers. Sammartino raises his arm and the fans get louder in their cheers for the Living Legend. Vince McMahon and Gorilla Monsoon welcome Bruno Sammartino back to WWWF. </p><p>

Vince McMahon:</strong> Bruno in a few moments you will be signing the contract for your match at Madison Square Garden against one Larry Zbyszko. </p><p>

Bruno Sammartino:</strong> You know Vince and Gorilla I have been in the gym with Dominic everyday. Working out knowning when I get Larry in that ring I am going to teach him the lesson he will never forget. Like Judas who betrayed Jesus for a few coins, Larry betrayed me. </p><p> </p><p>

Larry Zbyszko walks out and the crowd erupts in boos. Larry Zbyszko casually walks around the ring few times seeming hesitant to get in the ring. He gets on the apron and is half way through the ropes when he thinks better of it and screams he wants Bruno to stand on the other side of the table before he gets in the ring. Bruno shakes his head in disgust but complies to the request. Larry gets in the ring, but Bruno takes a step forward and Larry flees the ring quickly. Screaming at the fans to shut up as they starting chanting Bruno!Bruno!Bruno!</p><p>

Bruno Sammartino:</strong> Larry get in the ring and stop acting like a child. </p><p>

Larry Zbyszko:</strong> I am not acting like a child. I am acting like a man that doesn't trust you. </p><p> </p><p>

Larry Zbyszko finally gets in the ring and he walks up to the table and signs the contract for the match at Madison Square Garden on March 17th. Bruno bends down to sign the contract his eyes never leaving Larry Zbyszko. Vince asks if we could get a handshake. Bruno reaches his hand across the table towards Larry who looks at Bruno's hand in fear. He reluctantly shakes his former mentor's hand who squezzes Zbyszko's hand making him scream in pain. Zbyszko flies out of the ring as Bruno Sammartino stands there laughing at his former protege. <strong>Grade:A</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Bulldog Brower vs Andre the Giant</strong></p><p>

In an exceptional match, Andre The Giant defeated Dick Brower in 11:52 by pinfall with The Bodyslam. <strong>Grade:B-</strong></p><p><strong>

Show Notes: From people who saw them team together the Gibsons were far better team together than the one Robert Gibson is more famous for The Rock and Roll Express. Which if you go on Youtube you can find some matches with them teaming together.</p>

The Gibsons were as solid as they come. Having Wayne Farris already it might not hurt to pick up Larry Latham if he's not turned into a Moondog already and reform the Blonde Bombers the WWF could do worse in their tag ranks then the Gibsons and Bombers.

I’ll be honest I don’t think I have ever seen a match with the Gibson Brothers. Sounds like I’m selling them short just because they don’t have a catchy gimmick name and Gibson Brothers just sounds so....boring. It worked for the Steiners Bros because they were such bad asses in the ring. I will find some time to look on YouTube for the Gibson’s in action.

Captain Lou Albano Promo:</strong></p><p>

The good Captain hypes the Gibsons as a credible tag team, if they were working a backwater town like Pensacola, but they are not working in that wretched hole in the ground. They are set to challenge the WWF World Tag Team Champions in the Mecca of all of sports Madison Square Garden. The Samoans ran the Polish Hammer straight out of the territory and come the Garden. Come March 17th the Samoans are going to devour the Gibsons. <strong>Grade:C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In a decent match, Terry Taylor defeated Jose Luis Rivera in 7:45 by submission with a Scorpion Deathlock. <strong>Grade: D+</strong></p><p><strong>

Bob Backlund comes out and says that the referee made the call he thought was the right call. He didn't agree with the decision, but agrees the cage will solve the problem of the referee. An he is going to come for a fight and he hopes Patera will as well. <strong>Grade:A</strong></p><p><strong>

The King and Freddie Blassie come over for a interview. Blassie says it's outrage that the World Wrestling Federation has decided to put true royalty in the ring with a ape. Jerry Lawler pipes in and says Gorilla better becareful not to bring any bananas into the ring because he doesn't want excuses when he beats him. Vince McMahon asks him wants does he mean? Lawler says he doesn't want Gorilla to cry he accidentally slipped on a banana peel when he gets beat in the ring. <strong>Grade: A</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Pat Patterson vs Tor Kamata</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Pat Patterson defeated Tor Kamata in 10:17 by pinfall. <strong>Grade:B-</strong></p><p><strong>

Pat Patterson Promo:</strong></p><p>

Patterson comes over and talks to Vince McMahon. He looks into the camera and demands that he gets a rematch against Larry Zbyszko before his match against Bruno Sammartino. Because even though he respects Bruno he deserves his rematch before Bruno annihilates Zbyszko at Madison Square Garden. Patterson keeps talking that is until Bulldog Brower shows up and attacks Patterson from behind beating him mericessly to the ground. Captain Lou Albano looks down at Patterson with a huge smirk on his face. Albano states Patterson needs to worry about the sadistic Bulldog before he worries about any titles.<strong> Grade:A</strong></p>
