WMMA5 Small Questions Thread

Can a show's rating's be enhanced by a good announce team?

I tested that in the past and concluded it was a minor difference, but I don't recall. It's hard to test though: unattach your broadcast team and run through the event 10 times and match the two most equally-exciting events based on the match ratings, taking main event bonus into account.

I'd say it's never worth it, but given you have a lot of money to spare in this game: why not. :p

And indeed: you need to raise Reyes' popularity somehow, but it depends on why you play the game: as a booking sim or a MMA world sim? If you desperately want to watch the fight, lower Bones' pop a level, make the fight, and reset the pop. But if you're a booker it can be a reason to do a superfight instead as he clearly wants to. Maybe HW superfight? Or just disable the feature in the settings that blocks fighters from fighting friends, etc. and he will no longer complain about anything. For me the fun about the game is to look for the best fights. While he's having the superfight, you can boost Reyes, maybe max. hype him?

So, does a fighters hometown (or area as it is) really matter? Or is the icon just a small cosmetic feature? Also, why does several fighters like fx Chinese and Brazilian fighters not appear as being "at home" when holding a show in China or Brazil?

But then again, I've had fighter X beat fighter Y in their hometown, and vice versa. I assume it stacks with other bonuses they get but it's impossible to test properly. He's not listed as hometown, when holding a show in China. Also Patricio Freire from Curitiba, Brazil (Latin-Brazilian ethnicity). Likewise not shown as hometown boy. That's the ones that springs to mind. However, they are listed as main-eventers when holding a show there, while only being main-carders otherwise.</p>

I want them to get the boost in pop and skills when fighting there...

There is no pop boost. Generally they are already more popular there in the first place. But it's not that they gain more fans there (that wouldn't make sense). Indirectly, because of better performances, they might end up gaining more fans.

The game says there's a boost when fighting in a home region. Wether that be pop or skills, I don't know. Either way, I want them.

So how much are you actually allowed to go into debt, before your company closes? I was under the impression it was around 250,000, but in my own company save, I was 300,000 in doubt around October, but was allowed to stay in business. (I had only been in business from January the same year).

It's not a question of how much, but rather how long. The term is over 18 months I believe. When you get the message of doom there's one more month.

<p>I know, I keep 'em coming, but I haven't been playing that long. I apologize <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

At which point (size) can you sign fighters based overseas?</p>

You can ask the fighters anytime if they wish to come over with the "talk to worker" feature, and they might.

If not, I'm not sure (as it's unrelevant most of the time) but I think low national.

I knew about asking them to move base... Just seem like a cheap trick when you're doing a local to global sort of save.

It can indeed be abused as you are not obliged to guarantee them a spot on your roster. Kinda weird how they change their life just for a chance at my crappy fed. :D

Exactly... "Hey, do you wanna move from Japan to USA to be closer to my promotion?" "Yeah sure"... Completely re-arranges his life. "Sorry, I don't need you anyway" :D
