Tag01 Posted January 22, 2018 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Tag01’s Festival of Mods Despite going into mod making retirement over a year ago I ended up getting as hyped as the rest of you for WMMA 5. To celebrate my return to modding and the release of what looks like an excellent game I’ve decided to celebrate a Festival of Mods during the run up to full release day. I have a few things in mind, from historic mods to my first foray into the C-Verse. This will lead to the return of the Modern Warriors real world mod, which (fingers crossed) will release the same day the full game drops. Don’t ask what time of day they’ll be released, I have no idea. Here’s what I have come up with. Tuesday, January 23rd Modern Warriors 2009 >>>>>>>>>>>Released<<<<<<<<<<<< A historical mod, Modern Warriors 2009 is just a long-lost database from WMMA 3 that I discovered in my e-mail after most of my old mod files died with Megaupload. It has only been tweaked sparingly but it comes at a fun time in MMA. EliteXC has just died leading to a scramble for their best guys, and Strikeforce is in the process of making a run as a national promotion. Sengoku and DREAM are battling to be the next PRIDE in Japan. It is compatible with the Modern Warriors face pack. This is a community mod that anyone can tweak and re-release. With some work it could be great. Thursday, January 25th Throwback Thursday >>>>>>>>>>>Released<<<<<<<<<<<< Thanks to Asaemon and some other heroes I’ve collected a few classic mods from all the way back in WMMA 2. I’m going to convert them all the way up to WMMA 5 and release them in bulk. They haven’t been updated in years but are still a good time. Friday, January 26th C-Verse Kick Boxing Mod This will be a surprise until the day of release. It’s not a serious attempt at a mod but will hopefully be a fun alternate reality C-Verse romp. Hat tip to Mariochives for the custom graphics. >>>>>>>>>>>Released<<<<<<<<<<<< Sunday, January 28th PRIDE vs. UFC Remastered This is the original PRIDE vs. UFC mod released for WMMA 3 but with a decent amount of updating. I’ve quietly been spending a ton of time updating this in WMMA 4 and have already managed to get a lot worked out today for WMMA 5 features. It is still fairly well balanced from the original version, with the fighters available throughout the first year of gameplay being updated for the new release. I hope to eventually flesh out the debuting fighters up to present day or something close to it. This mod uses a second face pack I’ve created; a work in progress called Modern Warriors Historical Pack. This pack is designed for mods that are pre-2008. Unlikethe gray background on my normal pack the historical photos have a transparent background that allows for the company logos to be visible behind them. This pack is headshot only. >>>>>>>>>>>Released<<<<<<<<<<<< Tuesday, January 30th Modern Warriors Real World Mod (February 2018) After a long hiatus Modern Warriors returns. I was waiting for the game came out before I wanted to work on it so I knew all the new skills and stuff that would have to be updated. Just pm me or something, I'll work on whatever needs work.
